Making good progress on the Shadow War terrain. Painted the walkways blue and the pipes/furnaces as yellow, as homage/compatability with my foam core Necromunda terrain. Less than ideal is the fact that the new terrain uses 5" high as the standard, whereas my Necro stuff is multiples of 3".

The ruleset owes much to 2nd edition 40k (that also went on to be developed into Necromunda). However, its not Necromunda rules as such because as it has a simplified after battle sequence / team advancement.

Fluff wise, it stays consistent with the ongoing 3rd war of Armageddon, with the forces representing Imperial Kill teams / Ork saboteurs trapped within Hive Acheron (which was thrown into civil war / ork infiltration by Von Strab). Getting promethium and unlocking specialists represents finding hidden weapon caches etc.

There is no mention in the fluff of any of the other Kill Teams that you can make using the extra download rules. So they could/should be on different worlds (avoiding tricky questions of why every main race in 40k canon has sent Kill teams to the same place...).
Ask not the EldarVeteran a question, for you will get three answers all (probably) true and horrifying to know

Models purchased/gifted 2015, 2016 and 2017 = 169, 130, 232. Models painted = 139, 83, 189 . Net impact on grey plastic mountain = 120 extra models to pile
Models purchased/gifted 2018 = 39. Models painted in 2018 = 53 . Net impact on grey plastic mountain = 14 models off pile

Very nice! Liking the Ladder stand and the Overwatch bases. Can see me using the overwatch bases in Infinity as actual bases. Will keep an eye on the bay page, none of the new stuff seems to be there yet.
