The Storyteller Posts: 654 Group: Admin Member #3 Joined: January 21, 2008	They've got a great line of figurines, and some that few other companies stock, some more expensive ones that I'd like to paint (54mm), but with such crappy service, I'd rather pay a few more quid to get it within a reliable timeframe.

Advanced Member Posts: 496 Group: Members Member #35 Joined: June 27, 2008 Name Alex	I didn't look properly... but there are some RPG rules/books in Waterstones in town, as I say I didnt look properly but there were D&D books if any1 wanted to know or if that helps in any way. It's a long shot but just helping my fellow gamers. If you wanna find the books/ are interested, they are in the BL section of the shop (walk straight down the shop... past both counters... and into the sci fi part, on the left from there at the bottom of the shelf there are various rule books and stuff a 40K RPG and some D&D stuff just to name a few. You can mull through the manuals and get all your gear and money and armour and and... I'm sure that we can help you when you get stuck with the books, while we're playing.

Short of having a LOOOOT of money, or killing a Warcaster and hoping it fits. Plus finding someone who can build it etc etc. Natural armour....isnt really a factor, its more the weight/size and encumberance of it?

The Storyteller Posts: 654 Group: Admin Member #3 Joined: January 21, 2008	Quite correct, natural armour only applies to the original animal that was born wearing it. If you were to take Dracodile plates and scales and fashion armour from them, then it would be classed as Hide armour and has an armour check penalty for encumberance. Magic is what you're all about, and so magic is usually how you solve these problems.

If you ask a 'rules' type question it will help us others to answer correctly if a reference is given. I.E. (PHB pg. 141)-Players Handbook, or (IKCG pg.32)-Iron Kingdoms Character Guide. If you found something on the web, add the link or a document reference, forum thread, etc. This applies to all RPG, and even WarGaming, questions from all concerned. So instead of a long blather that may not have anything to do with your topic, you get concise answers that all can use. Here endeth the Lesson If this is the spell then it will summon an Eagle to you from somewhere else, you can then command it to do things for you. I don't have a PHB with me, but I'll check my online lists. I know there are Divine summoning spells, and they relate to alignment of the caster, and Deity as well. It is a magical creature from another realm. If it is 'killed' it goes back to the realm of origin and cannot be summoned for a given time period. When you summon an Eagle again, you are actually getting the same creature again. If you've ever read any of R. A. Salvatore's works on Drizzt D'Urden the Drow (dark elf), you'd know what I'm talking about. He has a magical figurine (Figurine of Wonderous Power) which summons a huge Panther (Hunting Cat). He forms a bond with the creature and they become a hunting pair. The cat eventually chooses to spend more and more time in the Material plane to be with Drizzt. Each time he Summons Her, she stays even after he commands her to leave again, even when badly wounded. Anyone can have and use one of these types of Artifacts, but it always comes at a price, and they are rare. A cheaper form of creature summoning comes in the form of a pouch. Within the pouch is a warm fuzzy ball. When taken out of the pouch and tossed to the ground it transforms into one of a number of summoned creatures. It's called a Bag of Tricks, and comes in three sizes/prices. Each type different. You all may recall I have asked you for any wishlists that you compile. The more you give me to work with, the more I can add into the story for you. These lists can include magical items, spells, booze, etc. Edited by Gelfin, Oct 13 2008, 09:31 AM.
