Just a quick matter of question as to what y'all at the club would like to see us do for the birthday event. There's an idea in place of a 40k Apocolyse eternal war, with cycling players. We'll probably be doing warmachine demo's some of the evening. There's also been an idea surgested for a painting competition that involves using only primary colours, and black and white. Also what prizes would you like to see for these events, other events take place. Just any idea's would be great, not that personally i'm idealess, its just a sounding out methord for the playerbase. What is the Birthday date? Could we get our 10% stores to sponsor some of the prizes, maybe for a raffle or lucky draw? We can get the local press involved so that we can offer coverage/advertising for our sponsors. There are quite a few stores in the area, and the web, that we support quite a bit, maybe we can get prizes from them, no harm in asking around is there? Do you have to get special trading licenses to let the local stores have stalls, Runik; Toymaster; Model Junction, etc. Symon will probably be there (we must ask him first!) but does he have supplies across the genre's/systems? I know he carries the FoW stuff, but does he support GW or not? Has anyone got the rules for GRIND, it could be fun to pit Warjacks against each other, since we are discussing which is the best 'jack. As for prizes, box sets are nice, but maybe more generic stuff that all players could use, no matter the system or Faction/Army they prefer. Paint sets, brushes, markers(smoke, cloud, poison, flame), dice. What about trophy's/awards. We can draw up certificates for the winners in the contests and painting comp. Can we come up with a really cool trophy idea that we can use again in the future. We can still use the nurgle demons for the painting comp, or maybe look at something new, what do you guys think?

club birthday cool whenis it cos im busy every weekend till august 9 th last years went really well and i know that it will be a great event once again this year. on wot gelfin was saying about generic prices why dont you just do £20 toymaster/model junction voucher for the 40kers and £20 at the shop for the macines thats enough for a heavy jack or unit for 40k as for gelf's idea on a trophy why not a gold plaited Be,lakor model on scenic base it could be like the stage up from pappa nurgles boys + if the base is big enough names could be etched round the edge. be,lakor picture

I think there should be another "It's all gone Starship Troopers" skirmish. That was good last year  And also you might need to think about advertising it more than last year, a poster here and there (maybe everywhere  )Anything else?  Have a big BBQ again  Just ideas, EtM |

"Its all gone Starship Troopers" was awsom last year..we even had people sighning up an hour in advance to play. How about a giant mega battle on a large table in the middle of the hall. Lots of armour and ruins and people can drop in and play with what ever they bring along. I could supply my titans and a few tanks and im sure there are lots of vehicles people dont get a chance to use....when people turn up they can just add vehicles from table edges like reserves...maybe see how many point of armour the good side can muster again the dark side...using armour values as point..eg front 12. side 11, rear 10 total armour points 33...have it marked on a big sheet to see how the battles going..and every thing that get blown up gets added the the opposing side as "armour kill points".....im sure people will be running home to get more stuff once it gets going and this could run all day and in to the evening? Captain Stevo. PS this will also make it fair as my titans are 14, 14 ,14 all round..but if one get destroyed the opposing side get D6 x armour value kill point?? |

We've got something not to disimilair to this planned already in Apocolyse: Eternal War. Which will be annoced Saturday, it will be finalised tomorrow, but here's the basic idea. Don "Fuzzman." Palafrey and a couple of acolyetes will be bringing down a 10,000 point force, people will then show up with 1500 point forces. Apocolyse formations/datasheets allowed. Your job is then to kill as much of that army as possible, whoever kills the most in vp's will win a prize. These's force's will cycle out when destoryed, when defeated. And someone will then fill the roll. Startship Troopers will return as well. We're also having something called the "Primary painting competition." This will be a competetion, where you can only use Black, white, Blood Red, Bad Moon Yellow or Ultramarine Blue. Or if your using PP Paints, Khador Base Red, Cygnar Base Highlight, and Cygnus Yellow. Your allowed to mix and shade these at will. But use ONLY these colours. (Now Y'all are getting advance warning on the painting comp, so i expect decent entires for each and every one of you )

As Warhound Titans are in the apocalypse book but they have not brought out a Data Sheet yet...and..GW sais you can create your own Data Sheets..does 1 to 3 Warhounds count??? Steve. |

LOL Also, I/Brother could either supply the Nid's for Operation: I.A.G.S.T. and/or run it (I know only too well what a determined 10 yr old can do to unfortunate Imperial troops) EtM PS It's All Gone Starship Troopers should hear by be decreed as Operation I.A.G.S.T because it sounds cool and ppl can then try to pronounce it as one word and look like fools doing it MUAHAHAHA PSPS This and the last message are point-proof... Thanks for those kind words...but i am no longer "Da Big Boss" at the club...due to reasons that..well they can stay in the past..i had to leave and now there is a new Committee running BWG..i just like everyone else am just a member now....i have no for of responsibility or say on what happens at a Committee level....but it nice to know my legend lives on..lol.
