Thank you to everyone who made it to the Birthday party. Especially to Shadowdragon and Fuzzman, with the help of many others it was a major success. The results will no doubt be up on the Blog soon enough, but it seemed that the Starship Troopers and Apocalypse games were fantastic. Capt Steve's Titans took the cake again, with explosive results! Great to see you weilding the Apocalypse Manual with Zeal Capt. Scriptus and I will co-ordinate the photos somehow and get them up for all to see asap. Well Done Webwraith for the 'beginner' games that you so aptly took in hand, you've probably enlisted two new recruits to the Greater Warmachine fold. (The Shepherd is 'powerful' people-beware the Blight!!!). It was nice to see the Flames of War table in full swing with plenty of infantry to feed the tanks this time. Those 1:100 tanks are the Bees-knees man. The detail for square mm is disgusting, love it to pieces. (I built many, many 1:76 armour pieces in my military days-before all this new-fangled fantasy guff) All in all a Big Thank you and well done BWG, a great Second Birthday under the belt. 2Congratz to everyone for an excellent "Birthday Bash". Starship troopers rocked, thanks to Cameron for helping me with it as it meant I didnt (nor did he) have to sit a the same table throwing prime Tyranids into Hellgun/Grenade Launcher fire  Congratulations to Nathan, who is now a carrier of the 5th Edition Rules after slaying the Great Devourer's minions in just under 30mins The Apocalypse battle was great, although the last "battle" was pointless as only 2 rounds were played and NO ONE could actually get through the gate... believe me... I tried Had I had a tricked-up Vyper... 36"...36" Zoom-age!!!The entire day was really great!!!! EtM |

I wouldn't of said the last round was pointless. We just ran out of time. The Vypers got sucked into a vortex also. :-) It was a great day, thought I don't recomend having 10+energy drinks in one day, The low after that. Itt was alot offun, Next time Less Infantry more tanks. Hrmmm.. Next time! |

...no game in Apocalypse is pointless because the objective is just to destroy, destroy, destroy - whilst having fun I am glad I got to put nearly 6,000 points of Eldar on the table, even if most of my shooting was at a single squad of scouts However, 5 wraithcannon shots into the side of a Baneblade was entertaining enough! ...whilst I could have got something through the gate in another turn or so, I dont think anything that did would have survived the welcome committee on the other side . Of course I could just have waited for the titan to remove the defenders, terrain, gate, and probably the table itself |

The defecne of the gate was really cool, blocking the entrane was a nice ideauntil that Vortex Missle made everything disappear. Next time I think I will attack, Also plan alot more into the game. No one took on my Masters of the Chapter. Maybe should just do an Assault see who's command can take them down. |
