This is the 40K Forum. Just some simple rules/guidelines to help you feel comfortable posting in the vast areas of the 40K Topic universe.

Welcome to Bury Wargamers club, whether you are a long-time member or this is your first visit!

We hope that you enjoy being part of our club and gaming community. So that everyone can have fun, enjoy their games, and have space to play, we ask everyone to observe the following rules:

You can be competitive, but not at the price of having fun: Bury Wargamers is attended by players of all abilities and levels of experience, from new players to experienced tournament going veterans. Please respect other people’s interpretation of the rules and their gaming ability – if you ‘exploit rules loopholes’ to your gain, or constantly field a deliberately hard / near unbeatable list against unprepared opponents, you may get the satisfaction of winning, but the downside is, no one will want to play against you... and who can blame them?

Do not intervene in other people’s games with rules clarifications or tactical advice – unless you are asked to; if you want to watch a game then watch, but do not help or hinder in any way. By all means gasp in amazement as well laid plans go drastically wrong or cheer if the underdog smites his foe. But do not intervene. If you have a rules query, a member of the committee will be happy to help out, either by wielding the mighty power of the Big Rule Book, or letting the dice decide.

Respect other people’s property; theft will not be tolerated in the slightest! In any sense of the meaning! If you are caught stealing you will be immediately ejected, never to return.

And, finally: Swearing, offensive language, or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated; if you are heard swearing by a member of the committee, you will be given ONE WARNING; after this, if you are heard swearing again, you will be required to submit 50p to the Club Swear Tin (all proceeds go to getting equipment for our club) – each time you swear! Similarly, racist, sexist or any other offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. If you persist in this you will be asked to leave – similarly if you use threatening or aggressive behaviour in club. We are a friendly club and have not had to ban anyone - so let’s keep it that way.

So these are the club rules. You may feel that they are harsh for a gaming club, but they are there for one reason only, and that is to achieve our primary objective………

So that everyone who visits our club can enjoy their game and have fun!
