We've accumulated a number of items that really should not be here. Primary among them is a GCSE book, which I hope the user doesn't need before the next meet, as I won't be going to get it. Also at the club is an entire foam layer of Imperial Guard. Also, this is NOT the first time that we've been tidying up to find a bag of rubbish left behind. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. For a long time now, the club has had the rule that you take home your own rubbish. At the meet before last, we had a large number of used teabags left in one of the cups in the kitchen. Those cups belong to the Scouts, and we want to leave the scout hall as we found it. They've been kind enough to let us use them, we should respect that, and make sure the cups are washed up after being used. THIS IS AT THOSE WHO USE THEM. I've already spoken to the FoW guys, so this is more specifically at anyone else who uses the cups for drinks. At the meet just gone, we found a Marks and Spencers bag with a plastic cup full of teabags and orange peel. From now on, we'll be keeping hold of any bags of rubbish we find, and handing them out at the meet after. If you thought that the rubbish was bad when you dumped it at the club, imagine it after it has been sat in a warm building for two weeks. Please, guys, we need to keep on top of this, because the next step will be to ban food and drink in the club, with the exception of water, and none of us want that. OK, rant over, but please keep everything I've said in mind, and I'll see you all at the next meet |
