Jon, Robbie

We were talking about this last Saturday; I was just reading up on new Blood Bowl and ended up at the official NAF website. This is what it says about the current rules (CRP aka LRB6):

"....We have been the most popular source for finding the official BB rules since they were removed from the GW website in Spring 2014, but GW have asked us to remove them in anticipation of the new rules being released, so that players who are new to the game do not get confused.

The CRP will continue to be used at NAF tournaments until further notice, but the document will be removed from thenaf.net at the end of June 2016, as it is a GW document. Therefore please do download it for personal use before then."

But according to the NAF the rules are not changing (significantly) for the re release. So if you want a free copy before you have to pay GW for them go download them before the end of the month.

No, just out of control shiny syndrome. Was'nt really sure how to respond, i am well aware people have bigger problems than " what nerd game should i buy next ".

Anyway, enough of that, i went serious face for a second there, this should be a place of safe, happy go lucky geekdom.

Plastic dwarves will be released ( at some point ), then it will be over to Forge World for the rest of the teams and Star Players. At least that's the opinion over on BoW.

So I went to the Bloodbowl zone of the loft and had a (s)rummage. I have plenty of plastic humans and orcs, plus metal dwarf, dark elf, high elf and goblin teams. However, most those had not stood up to the passage of time well - the sculpts are very dated. None inspire me to get them ready for the new version - I'll probably wait for the new generation of teams. Getting my preorder in soon.
Ask not the EldarVeteran a question, for you will get three answers all (probably) true and horrifying to know

Models purchased/gifted 2015, 2016 and 2017 = 169, 130, 232. Models painted = 139, 83, 189 . Net impact on grey plastic mountain = 120 extra models to pile
Models purchased/gifted 2018 = 39. Models painted in 2018 = 53 . Net impact on grey plastic mountain = 14 models off pile

I admit, it is a shame when older sculpts just don't stand the test of time. I only ever had the 2D cardboard standies for BB, it will be nice to have proper mini's for ir in a few months.

And GW now have neoprene mats of their own coming out, which will be team specific and look really good ( as you'd expect ).

So the inaugural Alpha Games BB league is drawing to a conclusion. Down to the playoffs; I lost my semi final last night to some dirty rats. For anyone interested happy to bring BB down to club for a game, also a new season of the league will be starting soon (March?), always room for more players :)

Cheers for the game Mark. My throwing game was obviously never meant to be, although using Catchers to murder ( i mean foul ) two Orcs was bloody funny.

Pleasure. Always amusing to see a bashy team out bashed by a non bashy team!
Sorry if I wasn't the best teacher!
