"Fools" said I "You do not know, silence like a cancer grows Hear my words that I might teach you Take my arms that I might reach you" But my words like silent raindrops fell And echoed In the wells of silence Sound Of Silence - Distrubed Silence Off Camera Things hadn’t always been the best for Jonas, with a form of ADHD that saw him abusing his prescriptions in order to make him somewhat calm. The ginger often found himself either skipping or just not taking the drugs, as his emotions became more and more out of control. But now, he was on a healthy diet, a good workout regime and found a rather great outlet for his major issue, life seemed almost perfect for the wrestler. There was almost a constant smile on his face at all times, and today was no exception. Jonas pulled into the long driveway of what looked to be a massive boarding house, light fences showed the size of the yard, the pillars rose from the ground and the roses bushes seemed to engulf the entire front of the building. As Jonas approached he could make out the sign, ‘Wrong Laine Rehab Facility’. Parking his truck he hopped out and let out a small exhale. “Can’t believe she’s done all this,” Even as he spoke he knew he was completely alone, but he was truly proud of a woman whom had helped him change his entire future. Walking into the building the young man looked around, it was more of a home than a facility. “God damn, this is bigger than my house!” “Unless your house has a dozen or more rooms to sleep in, three hot tubs, a swimming pool, personal gym and race track among other things...” Came a voice not too far away. Laine. She smiled at him as the former addict turned sponsor and rehab spokeswoman filled out paperwork for a newly admitted patient. “Hello, Jonas.” “Laine!” The young man gave her a small hug, “You look amazing, and this place, better than ever. I’m so proud of you.” He turned to the patient, and nudged him slightly, “Listen to her. It’s hard and painful, but listen, it helps.” Turning back to his sponsor he motioned, “Finish up, then come for a walk?” “Of course.” She took a few moments to finish off the paperwork and let the volunteer orderly help him around, show him the grounds. Laine checked her pager before following Jonas. “Not that I’m unhappy to see you, far from it, but what brings you to my little spot in this big, crazy world?” “A pretty brunette,” He winked at her as he walked out into the back, “I wanted to come check in, with you, I’m still having my compulsive need to bark at Niamh for not loving me, proposing to Sadie because she does love me, and now I’ve developed a new addiction. One that gives me a bigger high than ever before.” His smile was a mile wide as he looked to her not quite disclosing just yet. “You always did have a thing for brunettes.” She added with a chuckle as they walked. “And a new high? I really hope this is taken in a positive sense, not an ‘oh hey I’m taking a new drug but it’s ok cuz it’s different’ way. Coz I’ve had enough of that this week.” She chuckled, giving Jonas the benefit of the doubt. “Oh my god it’s better than sex!” He was so excited, like a kid in a candy shop almost, “I mean... better than sex most of the time... sex with Sadie is freakin' am....” He was quickly silenced by the look he was getting from Laine, “Sorry, kinda.” He chuckled before looking at her, “I expanded my horizon. Wrestling is amazing, and you know how hard I’ve had to work to perfect my skills, and I love wrestling, but it’s got so many rules, and one thing you’ve always had to yell at me for was not following the rules... like that time I went skinny dipping in the pool, or the time I almost slept with that Intern Megan over there...or Kelsea over there...” Laine chuckled. “Focus.” She couldn’t help but smile. Sure he was a horndog, but a happy Jonas was a good thing regardless. “Sorry, memories are flooding back.” He finally looked at her, “I’m an MMA fighter, I’ve got someone who helps me get bookings, and I’ve signed with a new company. And Laine, when I’m out there I feel free, I don’t ache, and I don’t have to worry about getting in trouble. When I’m in the octagon I’m able to actually let all the frustrations out, and focus.” The Canadian ginger was quite proud of himself. “Everyone needs a way to release. And all this time you thought you’d get it from sex.” She smirked, knowing full well she kept telling him otherwise. “I’m happy for you, not many people get that realization.” “The doc has cut my meds almost in half since I’ve started fighting, I’m calmer and more able to talk to people. Except for Niamh... she still brings up a lot of bubbly feelings and I think it’s just a lot of passion. But she’s come to every one of my matches, she doesn’t think I see her but she catches my eye every time.” His excitement faded quietly, as he talked about his best friend. “I’ve not been around her much because I don’t like how I abuse her when I am around her. And again I’m trying to change. I did go see Pan on easter, and managed to cook dinner for Niamh.” “She spikes you like your drugs used to, it’s not unheard of. Dr. Carmichael and I have worked with several people with similar emotional spikes, be thankful yours stop at verbal.” She gave him a saddened look for a moment. “But it sounds like you are finding life more stable?” The ginger nodded, “I stay away from my triggers, and abuse the hell out of my vices, have an amazing support at home, and was shoved onto the right path by a feisty brunette with an attitude bigger than my ego.” He nudged her, “I’m saying overall I’m doing a heck of a lot better thanks to you and the people that work here. I mean I was content letting my demons out and you’ve held the light to let me fight them.” “Everyone has those moments, all that matters is you fight and you win out over your demons. They will never go away, the people that say they’re gone are those who let the demons win.” Laine said with a shrug. “I’m happy for you though, I really am. Maybe I should get your picture up on our wall, help inspire others.” “Nah, I’m not an inspiration Laine, I’m just a ginger who needed-- still needs a lot of help fighting the demons inside him. But I do have this to help others with their fight.” The young man handed Laine a folded cheque and kissed her cheek. “You’re a Saint Laine, and you saved my life.” He paused at his truck for a moment, “If you ever need anything call okay.” He didn’t wait for her to look at the cheque, he simply hugged her once more and got into his big truck and drove off. |

OFF CAMERA It was an odd feeling, being alone. Becky Santiago had been alone a lot after divorcing her douchebag husband, but it all seemed like a lifetime ago after meeting (and falling in love with) Theo. But he wasn’t here tonight. Theo’s mother lost her battle with cancer and he needed to be home, with family and organizing her funeral. So here Becky sat, in her hotel room, no Theo, no Kenz, nobody. And before her was the task of facing one of the most disgusting people she ever had the displeasure of dealing with...and his lunatic stalker who has apparently joined the roster for real. With a heavy sigh the former cheerleader got up and went to the kitchenette to pour herself another glass of wine, seeing as she had to sleep somehow without her big strong demigod’s arms around her. Poor Theo, losing parents was never easy. And her mind was all over the place, from wishing to hold her lover to the fact she’s lost parents as well and what they’d think of her life now. That is until... “Huh...thought I’ve only had a glass of wine, this is half done...” Becky noted to herself, pouring a glass only to turn around and nearly have a heart atttack. Sitting on the chair facing her with a big grin was a blonde haired woman. Not any woman. Alexstrasza, Jonas’ superfan/stalker. “How the...” Alex grinned. “How the heck did I find my way into your locked hotel room when you’re up many stories and I don’t have a keycard? Easy, I got a keycard. Duh.” Becky stood in shock, filled with fear and rage all at once. “You piece of-” The latina stopped before being able to do anything as Alex held up a small knife. “Oh don’t worry, this is for my protection nothing more. You see I came here to tell you something, before Jonas ruins you. Jonas is a god among men and you should know this. You have zero chance beating him and no shot with him so get over it.” Becky was no longer angry so much as dumbfounded. "That'....what?" "You've got your shaved ape, Jonas is a man for real women. Like me." Becky just stared. "He's got a girlfriend..." "You're so loose you should be called a 40 man raid. Listen, I'm just saying he's off limits and you've got no chance. Done, nada, nothing. Got it, good." With that Alex got up and walked towards the door. "Also change your laptop password. Theo is a shitty password." She laughed before heading out, glass of wine in hand. "What...the fuck?".... |
