Current Night Info

The shattered corpse of a dormant city slowly stirs as life seeps back into it. It is a place where seeds of redemption now take root while a timeless struggle for supremacy begins anew. Beneath the rotted shell of the city, under the desperation and despair, lurks untapped power. Multiple factions of Kindred (and others) vie for control, and that power impatiently waits for those ambitious enough to grasp it. Welcome to St. Lawrence by Night

We are currently at maximum player population and will not be accepting additional players into the game until further notice.

Combo Disciplines; A Few Comments on Combo Disciplines

Combo Disciplines are allowed, but the ST must approve in all cases. It's recommended you speak to the ST about it well in advance of you starting down the path to pick one up.

If it's not something listed in V20 (I'm looking at you, random shit on the internet), scrutiny will be fairly high. V20 stuff will be fine in most cases, as a general rule.

Players CAN choose combo disciplines that belong to other clans and sects as listed the book so long as they have a good narrative explanation for it beyond "I want it!" It needs to at least be consistent with your character thematically to justify it, but it shouldn't be too difficult to justify in most cases.

There may be some combo disciplines that need to be tweaked.

The only one right now that is being changed somewhat is Burning Wrath (typically a Brujah combo).

This combo remains the same as it is in the book, but it has the following additional effect. When you activate the power, the character immediately triggers a Frenzy check for herself at Difficulty 6 (plus whatever modifiers you would typically have on your Frenzy checks). So you would roll Self Control, spend WP, etc. as normal when trying to avoid Frenzy, treating the use of the power as the stimulus causing the Frenzy (so as long as it's on, there's no getting away from it). The discipline remains active for the normal duration whether or not you enter Frenzy.

The idea here is to make it a little riskier to use this power to help with balance (while not taking away from its destructive potential), but also to give it the iconic feel of the vampire summoning up all their fury and wrath into literal palpable destruction radiating from their bare hands.
