So here's how the book handles healing aggravated damage: "Moreover, aggravated damage is far more difficult to heal. A level of aggravated damage may be healed only with a full day of rest and the expenditure of 4 blood points (though a vampire may, at the end of the full day’s rest, cure additional aggravated health levels by spending an additional five blood points and one Willpower point per extra aggravated health level to be healed). Worst of all, a vampire who loses his last health level due to aggravated damage meets Final Death — his eternal life ends at last, and he goes to whatever awaits him beyond the grave." But who wants to sit out whole nights at a time? That's not fun for anyone. So here's how we're modifying it: You want to heal a level of aggravated damage? You have 3 choices: 1. You spend 1 WP and 4 blood for each level you want to heal. 2. Alternatively, you may spend 4 blood and temporarily take a -1 penalty to your Stamina. This penalty is reduced by 1 point for each night that passes. 3. Or if you prefer, you can spend 8 blood and nothing else to heal a single point of Aggravated damage. The idea here is that either you can use your mind's strength to force your body to heal with blood, or you can do so at the cost of your physical countenance, or you can just throw a ton of blood at it. You can combine these however you like to heal as much as you can afford to. There is no limit to how much you can heal in a night in this way. Each level of aggravated damage you heal takes five minutes of concentration, so it's not something you can do in the middle of a fight or stressful situation. |
