My dad came up with a pretty cool idea for an app a few days ago. Basically, the app would scan online databases of coupons, advertisements, and the like, making them easily findable for, say, college students on a budget who need to find cheaper food. - The interface would probably consist of a space for people to put down their grocery lists. The app would then go through the list, show the best deals for each item in the surrounding area. For instance, a person might be able to get the cheapest eggs at Safeway, the cheapest milk at Albertson's, etc. - The app takes inventory of what you've bought and what you have. If you'd just bought a carton of milk the day before, it'd warn you if you tried to purchase another. - ??? - Profit |
