So I just remembered how when I got Eclipse (I didn't read it till this summer, I'm a newbie to the saga), it was MISSING like 60 pages right when Edward is fighting Victoria. Can you beLIEVE that? It was so weird, because it didn't even look like it was missing pages, perfectly bound and everything. It just went from like 330 to 390 or something like that. Man, I was so traumatized, 'cause I was sick, so I was home early from work, and I was like hmmph well at least I'll get to read! And then I got to that part and I was like "NOOOOOOOO". So I dragged my bum in my pajamas to the nearest Borders to exchange it. And then they tried to not validate my parking because I didn't make an actual purchase. I was like "Oh nooo, you di-int". Wow this story is getting long. Can you tell I have nothing to do at work? Hmm?? Anyways, I thought that was interesting. But yeah, I called the Borders I bought it at to tell them so that they could check their stocks to make sure there weren't other screwed up books. Who knows if they actually did check. Has that ever happened to you guys? Seemed so odd. |

Yeah, I did get a new one. I must have looked like such a weirdo twilight fanatic. Like I said, I was in my schlubby "i'm sick so boo on reality" clothes, and went to the nearest Borders with was one of those teensy tiny Borders Expresses. And then I FREAKED OUT cause I couldn't find it anywhere, even though I called in advance. And then the lady finally pointed me to this freakishly tiny, dingy corner of the store where SteMe books were completely HIDDEN (what is UP with that?)! And they had ONE copy left. And I was like *sigh*. And didn't blow a gasket after all. But yeah, that's my ridiculous eclipse....er....saga. OH, and, hehe, I thought ohh maybe I can just read the missing pages online on Amazon (you know how you can do the "look inside the book" thing?). Yeah, just fyi: you can't really pick the pages you want to read. If you ever wondered. |

tsk. books are freakishly expensive eh? but i prefer to go to a little bookstore in my town anyway (where books are much more expensive), instead of Chapters or someplace like that. You know, support the local economy :P plus it's a family-run bookstore <3 naw! |
