I'm sure most of you have heard this by now but.... On Stephenie's website she confirmed everything and is not going to continue writing Midnight Sun. Read it here Gosh, she even posted the 12 chapters herself! This makes me unbelievably sad. My heart goes out to Stephenie. She seems so upset with her fans and I don't blame her. Maybe once she calms down enough, she'll continue writing, but I don't see that happening. I hate it when a few *beeeeeps* ruin it for the rest of us. Edited by kateandpookie, Aug 29 2008, 04:54 PM.

Once again: absolutely ridiculous. Stephenie has every reason to put off Midnight Sun; it was ruined for so many people, and for her, too. Plus, think of how much she could be agonizing over every little mistake and trashed plotline... I mean, the book hasn't been edited. By now, I'm sure she's used to the security of knowing that her books were picked through with a fine-toothed comb, and they're the best she can do... |

I don't know if you will see this Stephenie Meyer... but I beg you to someday pick up Midnight Sun and get it out to the public in the form it should be. Not that [however mistakenly] leaked rough draft. So many of us have avoided reading it for so many reasons... 1) it's just wrong to view pirated material [such a twisted invasion of privacy] 2) it would only be a shadow of your final polished copy 3) paying for it knowing that you would get your fare share and 4) something to hold in our hands and read until the spine is like Bella's much loved books, plus so many other reasons. We are dreaming of day that your hurt lessons enough for you give us Edward’s side of the story. |

I know I, for one, will not be reading it until it is published. Even if she never decides to finish it, I can't read something that I know caused her so much pain, something she told us she never wanted anyone to see. I can't blame her at all for not finishing. I'm sure she feels really disappointed by some of her fans, betrayed even. That's disheartening. I hope her love for the story finally lets her come back to it. For now, I just want to give her a huge hug. |

I won't be reading it either. This must be so disheartening for her. Twilight fans are generally very amazing and like she said, she gave copies of it to people she knows and trusted and even if there was no "malicious intent" it still sucks. I feel so bad for Stephenie. She's getting a ton of support though so at least that's something. |

^i know! omg i was so pissed at the people who ruined it!!!! (f*** you guys) -sorry for the languge :( i haven't even read it because i'm so sad for Stephenie...and i would feel guilty reading it.
