There were only like 3 guys in the entire theater (including my husband *snickers*). And it was kind of funny but also kind of killed the mood because all the fangirls kept LAUGHING at everything! I think that's part of why I didn't like a lot of it the first time through--I mean even I started laughing at the fake running and stuff. Gah.

But the next night was better! And the people that sold us the tickets were like, "didn't you just see that last night?" :$

Yeah tons of non-Twilight people were there so they were laughing their heads off and I found myself laughing with them :( And I didn't want to...but their giggles spurred me on..

A few guys were there and the were pretty obnoxious... *sigh*
I'm hoping the second time I see it is better.

It's definitely better the second time around, guys. You're less likely to get people who are just curious about the movie... or whatever.

But yeah, we sat right next to these jerks the first time I saw it. People who were like, "Is he gonna barf?" when Edward first smells Bella, etc. Killed the mood a little, but even they couldn't mar the movie's awesome for me. The second time was awesome. Everyone was very quiet, except for a small sampling of fangirl reactions. Giggling at references to the book, that kind of thing. And then we came out and this girl with an Edward shirt on was standing with a whole group of her guy friends.

GUY: So... that was... pretty good.
HER: *totally smug*
ME: *overhearing them* *totally smug*
GUY: Do you have those books?
HER: *EVEN SMUGGER*

in my theatre ( which was insanely packed) when edward first walked in every single girl was screaming including my friends and i!!! It was soo loud but a lot of fun at the same time ;) That's the best time to go when a movie first comes out is usually either opening day or opening weekend because it's just packed and exspecially when twilight is showing everyone goes berserk :)

I missed so much due to all the laughter...I only picked up one reference to the book. ONE. Just the apple trick and the hands and that was in the trailer.

:( I really hope I pick up on everything this Friday (when I see it again :D )

i LOVE being smug.
My non-Twilight friend (the one who kept putting off reading the books) finally read Twilight the day before we all went to see the movie.

Her: So...I read Twilight...
Me: OME! AND????
Her: I'M ALMOST DONE NEW MOON!
Me: *SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*
Her: I KNOW!
Me: *smug*

Tis great :D
She's almost through BD now!

I got one friend to read them. She insists she isn't obessed with them and that they were only "Okay". She went to see the movie with me and my other 2 friends. She was so excited and was always talking about the book. We know better than her that she is a TwiFan.

At the movies, the line was so long it went outside in the snow storm. I enjoyed talking to other fans and seeing people and teachers from my school whom I would have never thought of as Twilight Fans. so that was pretty cool. I saw a few coustumes there. I was going to dress up, but didn't.

I love closet-Twifans! It's hilarious.
I was talking about Twilight with one of my teachers and she's like "THE BOOKS BY STEPHENIE MEYER?!?!?!? *SQUEE*" ....WOW. Did not think she'd be into them. But cool!

There was no line up at my theater (mind you, we went 2 days after opening) but the theater itself was packed. ....there was one creepy old guy who showed up alone with a huge tub of popcorn, sat down next to this 12 year old girl and then left 5 minutes before the movie ended

In my theater the part where Bella says "I want to be with you forever" I screamed YEAH SO DO I !

This was the first time though so I wasn't the only one calling out.
I'm not trying to be racist or whatever but there were the OD ghetto people in my theater...I just wouldn't imagine a bunch of 20 something ghetto guys going to see twilight. But one of them was so funny the whole time. At the part where Bella flips a shit in the hospital when edward tells her to go to florida, one of the guys were like CALM A B---CH DOWN ! LOOK AT HER SHE'S GOING CRAZY. I was peeeeing. Everybody in the theater started laughing.

...really? I would have been very upset if people were like that in my theater.
Luckily we only had a few losers who openly made fun of the movie

Ohh man, this is kind of off-topic, but we had a guy like that in another movie we saw recently. Maybe it was Tropic Thunder or something. I think he was on drugs or something because he kept yelling and commenting on the movie at a top-of-his-lungs type of volume. At first it was kind of funny but then it got REALLY annoying, and then the usher came in to tell him to be quiet and the guy was like 'IAMQUIET!!GIVEAMANABREAK!" And then of course kept doing it, kept doing it, so 3 more employees came back in and eventually tried to kick him out but he wouldn't be leave. He just wouldn't move and was all, "IPAIDFORMYTICKETB*TCH!!" It was craaaaazaaaay.

I was lucky, I went on the saturday after it came out at like 5:30 and while the theater was still packed, nobody squee'd or screamed or anything. But you could still tell the book fans apart from the movie-only fans because we laughed the hardest at the inside jokes and book references.
