Trite Human Posts: 58 Group: Members Member #135 Joined: May 17, 2006	For my digital illustration class we have to come up with a character and story to market and sell for merchandise and such. So we have to have their bio, what they do, logos, their expressions ummm. ugh i dunno basically everything. SO hers my character... Name: Matches Real Name Francine What she does: Matches is able to have any material object she desires by setting a same sized object on fire. Setting the object on fire again changes the object back to its original state. The catch is if she does not change the new items back within a 24hr period, everything will turn to ash. ~Being able to have anything you desire! How could anything go wrong? But when you are you're own fairy godmother, things are much more complicated then you would have ever imagine!~ Back Story: Matches is a 14 year old factory worker/ mechanic. She builds parts for ships, cars, and other steal machinery. Her world is somewhat like turn of the century London. Monopolies, big business, and of course the distinct gap between rich socialites and poor factory workers like herself. Matches is extremely accident prone and has collected several burn marks from all the fires shes started. To keep her job shes been able to avoid from being blamed for most of the mishaps. However, with all the unfortunate fires the factory boss believes his business is being terrorized by evil spirits! In desperation, he hires a witchdoctor to perform a healing on the property. Unaware that Matches was the real terror, instead of expelling ghosts, the doctor's exorcism heals her! Now matches brings new life to anything she sets ablaze! Merchandise: My merchandising idea is targeted for females, 8+. Probably girls that are more punky and edgy. Its kind of that hanna montanna duel identity nitch. Where there's the dirty, poor, tom boy, rebel side of matches, and the side where she uses her powers to posses the clothes, and accessories of another person, and pretend to be someone else. Since matches has had to work and be poor all her life she uses her powers to play in the world of the rich: pretty clothes, trinkets, ect. Matches is suppose to represent the junk she burns that becomes something beautiful. So im thinking of a line of girl stuff that would be things that appear to be junk but changes into something pretty. like an old broken dirty radio box that would open up into a elegant doll house. or makeup compacts that appear to be rusted cogs, ect. anyway just an assignment for class. nothing really blown out yet~please tell me what you think!
