Okay, this book was amazing!!!!

Depressing?

Undoubtedly...

If you don't know of the book, it's about a girl--named Hannah--who commits suicide.

But, before the actual act, she records her voice on these old casette tapes (there were about 7 of them, I think...I can't remeber off the top of my head), giving the names of the thirteen people who drove her to killing herself, then sending them the tapes, forcing them to listen to what they had done to her--even if they didn't think they had done anything.

(The reason the tapes are sent to the next person, rather than destroyed is that she created a second set of tapes, and has someone follow every single person around to make sure they're listening. If the follower finds out that the tapes have been destroyed, that someone releases the second set in a very public manner. There's some stuff on the tapes that no one wants to get out.)

We follow a boy named Clay--who was in love with her--through this journey of what happened between Hannah and he.

It's sort of like P.S. I Love You, if you're ever seen the movie...

Which is exactly why it took me so long to read it.

I didn't exactly hate P.S. I Love You, but I cried through every scene (except the first) in the movie.

While Thirteen Reasons Why was just as depressing, it was easier to get through.

Well, you should all read it--because it was so amazing, that I finished it in a day (about the same time it took me to finish every book in the Twilight Saga ^.^)

Sorry I fangirled it up about another book--but when I saw the subforum for this book, I couldn't resist! ^.^
