Wolf
Posted ImageWolves are a less-than-common predatory canine animal.
Wolves are strong and intelligent, and are generally found in packs of two or more, though lone wolves are apparently more common than packs.
They are capable of tackling animals and people alike, generally aiming for the throat with their teeth which would be an instant kill should they succeed. A wolf on its own may not be as much of a threat as a group of wolves, but they should still not be underestimated.
Wolves are normally territorial animals however - they may warn an intruder to leave the area before they attempt to attack, giving the option to either fight or run away.
Wolf meat is edible. It would take more effort and time to collect meat from a wolf than it would for a deer or rabbit, though the yield would be less considering a wolf has much more muscle than meat.
