Gentle drizzle passes through the yellow glow of a lone street lamp, hitting the pavement and filtering through into the cracks and to the gutter. The night sky is filled with a wet haze, blotting out the details of the surroundings. The words on street signs merge together while distant lights are blurred indistinguishably. The features of a solitary figure are similarly obscured, by the fog, by the rain drops on the man's face and by the shadows of the hood he wears. The man is hidden in plain sight. The dark folds of his coat mask his body well, disguising his movements, and therefore his intentions. As he passes under the light, a flash of orange passes across him, in an instant illuminating his chin, his lower lip, the tip of his nose. The unnatural light does not give away his complexion, but briefly amplifies the features of his skin, worn, rugged. It also reveals his attire, the folds of his long coat disappearing under a soaking non-branded sports bag. Soon enough the figure is back into the darkness, becoming another shadow, merely an outline of a person with nothing to distinguish it from any other. However it's voice gives it away: Jonathon Night. I'm going to make this short and sweet. I don't like you. I don't like you at all. I don't like what you do and I don't like how you do it. Frankly I'd rather not concern myself with you, because with all the rubbish you spout you might as well be speaking in Brontosaurus. But you've made me have to pay attention to you. You've caught my eye, you've come into my focus. And I've thought about you, I've thought long and hard. And I understand you. I do. I heard all you said, about your father, about how he abused you so now you must abuse me, because I'm like him. And I came to the conclusion that, what you've said, has absolutely no bearing on what is happening. That's not what drives you at all. No, I see through you. What really drives you is greed, impatience and a lack of respect. You lust for success, and want to take the short cut to get it. So you employ this childhood story as a smokescreen, like the mist around me, to hide behind. You hide that you are cutting the corners and that you haven't worked to get to this level, and you do this to get into my head. You wanted me to pity you, to be confused by you, and then to fear you. For a while I did. For a while you got to me. But I worked it all out. You'll get no pity from me. I know what you want and what you are willing to do for it, and though your story may be tragic I know as well as you do that it's no excuse for your actions, nor is it the motivation for them. So now that your veil is gone, I am left to wonder, what exactly is it you've got? What exactly do you have to bring to Revenge, that make you feel you can beat me? What exactly is it that I should be scared of? Yeah, that's what I thought. You're like this rain. Annoying, deceptive, cold, but of no threat at all. Goodnight, Jonathon. And with that, Daniel Sorbello turns, and walks off out of sight, leaving only the rain to drip down across the camera lens. |

I like how you kept the one way dialouge flowing nicely, especiallly that you didn't say the same things in different ways. I have a bad tendency to do that. Loved that last line, it reallly sends the overall message of the RP home. Great job. |

Excellent stuff amigo. I've said it before and I will say it again, the stuff you've been producing since the Dan Sorbello-change has been superb, top-notch stuff. Keep it coming. |

I've really been loving your work since you tweaked the character Dan, and this one is no exception. Brilliant piece of work honey. |
