Don't get me wrong, pro wrestling wouldn't be where it is (financially) if it weren't for him, but it also wouldn't be where it is (media perception) if it weren't for him as well.

I'm mixed on Hogan, I realize why he does what he does, but he was so incredibly selfish at times too.

Bret was offered a contract, WCW just wanted another WWF guy, but that was a far fetched idea.

Basically, Bisch asks Hogan, Hogan says "no brother, I got the kids to think about (his hulkamaniacs) then the Outsiders get over massive, Bisch says "hey Sting, since Hogan doesn't want to do this, would you?" Sting, being the go to guy says yes, Hogan sees the Outsiders getting massive over, says he changed his mind. However, he's not at the arena for Bash at the Beach, they fly him in on a private plane. Most reports (Hall, Nash, and Bisch) say that it wasn't confirmed to be Hogan until about an hour before the match went off. Up until then, Sting was waiting in the wings and would have taken the slot if Hogan used his creative power to deny it.

As for Bisch, think about this, could anyone else have managed all those egos like he did and been as successful? Also, has anyone else ever had Vince on the ropes?

Back to Raw, HHH vs Kane should be a great WWE style match, I'm looking for some call-back spots like the HHH going for a pedigree on the stairs and Kane backdropping him off the stairs (so a foot or so combined with Kane's height made it pretty impressive at the time, especially since Kane was apparently about 6'11" at the time).

I don't like HHH swooping in to get the WM main event when the feud was between Orton and Cena all along. HHH isn't even the #2 face on Raw.

Kane's obviously missing the company of one Katie Vick.

BTW, I just remembered, I forgot to put a match in my analysis of the show in GB:

Brian Kendrick defeated DH Smith, it was a nice match, both guys played faces for the most part, but in several parts each developed heel tendancies, Kendrick finally connected with the Sliced Bread #2 after a failed attempt earlier.

Simon, most people like HHH, he has that Flair factor where he's been around so long at the top at this point that he's going to be liked as the badass. No one likes Orton except for a few, and everyone is split on Cena.

So basically, what you have is someone who no one likes, someone that most like, and someone who's split in half, I want to watch the match for the crowd reaction alone.

Oh no, I get that most people like him. I like him, actually. It's just that whenever he's near the title, I remember 2003 on Raw, and I panic inside, which is weird because Cena's 1 year reign didn't bother me at all.

Like Triple H was ever going to lose that match, what is Kane doing for WM? He doesn't even have a match yet, Triple H is in one of the biggest matches in the card and it would be horrible booking to have him look weak going into that match.

Good. nWo would've sucked with Sting as the leader. And Hogan was an awesome heel, so all for the best, imo. But I could've swore hat I read that Bischoff or Bret say that Bret Hart was gonna be the mystery 3rd man until he turned down their deal.

Um, that's bullshit. Don't try to pass off your opinions as fact. Plenty of people like Orton as the psycho heel, and he can actually wrestle unlike Cena.

Yeah, I agree with Jevin, Hogan as the heel Hollywood Hogan refreshed his character and made him marketable to a whole new section of the fans, not to mention the NWO gave WCW the ratings boost it needed to defeat WWE raw for almost 2 years straight, not demeaning Sting or anything, but I doubt he could have made fans hate him as much as the fans hated Hogan after his turn.

BTW, TWJC where did you get all this info from, is it a reliable source?

1. I believe he meant crowd reaction.

2. Cena can wrestle. Pro wrestling was desgined to fleece idiots and children out of money, i.e. drawing. In the truest defenition of pro wrestling, Cena is an exceptional wrestler. Also, he creates drama in big matches like nobody's business.

Cena "creates drama" because nobody wants him to win. That's not a talent, it's just being shoved down people's throats and making them dislike to the point where everyone is on the edge of their seats hoping you lose.

And no, Cena is a fine entertainer. Not a wrestler. He's an average wrestler.

Orton gets plenty of heat, and unlike Cena's heat, it's real heat, not X-Pac heat.

Exactly, Simon gets it.

Also, TARFVD, I got my info from Bischoff's book and a couple of Nash and Hall shoots, so yea, right from the horses mouth, no McMahon bullshit or some masturbating "expert" writing "the Death of WCW" when he wasn't around it or involved in it.

HAIDS, Cena gets real heat, the people really hate him, he's working the "smart" marks, they just don't understand that, they're fools.
