I've thought this should be the case forever now. I don't see how promoters can be so stupid not to realize that if you work together, you can make so much more money. Instead, they have to try and bury each other. Look at the Super J Cup in Japan with all different promotions, it can be a success. For instance, just imagine the enormous explosion if the WWF and WCW decided at the beginning of 1998 to work together. Then, wrestling would have had a longer boom and it would have been healthier for everyone involved. DDP vs Rock, Sting vs Undertaker, Goldberg vs Stone Cold, they could have broke every single attendance, buyrate, and ratings record ever, but instead, they let their egos get the best of them. |
