K, I noticed when I went to ROH Driven that the wrestlers were treated more like movie stars than anywhere else. At most other indy shows I can walk right up to and talk to a wrestler during intermission, before, and after shows. It's real easy. At a WWE show, it's real hard, you only really see them while they're wrestling or if you're lucky before the shows.

Now, I did get to get an autograph from Jay Briscoe, Bryan Danielson, and Nigel McGuinness (and ask him about his stuffed squirrell). But ROH just seemed to try and glorify their wrestlers more than the other smaller indies I've been to.

My question is that should indy companies try to keep that wrestler mystique, or should they just sort of go "hey, it's just wrestling, he's a human being, you can talk to him"?

I can also understand how the number of people likely effects it as most indies won't draw over 200 and ROH goes 700-1000.

Tbh that's the main reason I love indies, being able to meet and talk to the wrestlers like they are people. I even talk to some of the local wrestlers on myspace from time to time, I love the interaction between wrestler n fan

It's hard. Again, the indies rule because you can talk to wrestlers a lot, and my eternal Matt Sydal love comes from telling me he loved my Shins shirt. However, I get that you want to also protect the mystique of the wrestlers at points.

I think thats exactly why Indys are a much better interaction experience. Going to a WWE show (and I have been to several) it just feels like ur watching these larger than life guys you will never talk to. But everytime I go to an ROH show weather its an intentional or not I always run into several ROH wrestlers before or after the shows. Not that its anything special just kinad neat that these people you watch on DVD are down to earth, cool guys for the most part. I think thats part of the Indy Experience for me.

IWA MS is the same way when I went to Hurt 2007 (which seen a very underrated Low Ki vs Roddy match) the Wrestlers were all over the place.
