Eddie Guerrero- Rock was epic on the mic but no where near the ring technician that Guerrero was and the fact that Eddie was awesome on the mic as well give him the nudge imo. Ediie hits a clean frog splash, ftw. Ric Flair- I assume we are matching the two in their primes and though Austin is in my Top 3 of all time Flair was better in his prime than Austin ever was in my eyes. Flair locks on the figure four for like a good 5 minutes before Austin finally passes out and is pinned. |

Eddie Guerrero vs. The Rock- Gurrero! Hands down! Rock is talented, but Gurrero deserves to go over. Stone Cold vs. Ric Flair- If you had Stunning Steve or even The Ringmaster, I'd have aharder time picking a winner, because Stone Cold was nothing more than a brawler, while the other two could put on a great scientific classic that would rival Flair/Steamboat. Winner Flair! |

Do you have any proof for that? We voted out Rick Rude, Owen Hart, and Andre the Giant. Back at the original BQ, there was an "Overness Tournament" (exactly like this). Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels tied for first and Eddie Guerrero was right behind them. that was when Eddie was still alive, |

I voted For Eddie because, imho, he was better than The Rock ever was. Ring wise Rock couldn't match him and while The Rock was great on the mic his promo's eventually dwindled down to repeating old catchphrases and rhyming where as Eddie actually said something when he promo'd. |

Eddie Guerrero vs. The Rock In a classic match, Eddie kicks out of the rockbottom and Rock still can't get the job done. Eddie uses wwe title and ddts rock on the title. (ref knocked out) Eddie goes up to the top rope and misses a frogsplash. Rock gets up (another ref comes in) Rock does the ppls elbow to win the match. Rock celebrates, Eddie shakes his hand. Stone Cold vs. Ric Flair Flair wins with an inside cradle. |

Oh that's right, because Curt Hennig and Owen Hart were killing in this tourney. I'm voting for Eddie over The Rock mainly because of their in ring work. If you can convince me and thousands of others that The Rock was a better in ring worker than Eddie than I'll kiss your ass, because you won't find that many to agree. The Rock was great on the mic, that's for sure, but do you not think that Eddie was clutch on the mic? Do you not think that Eddie could do emotion better than The Rock?? I don't know of too many Rock promo's that conveyed anything but comedy and intensity. Eddie could do anything you asked him to do on the mic and do it very well. I'm not selling The Rock short on anything here, he was one of my all time favorite wrestlers, but I'd appreciate it if you would leave your own ignorant statements to yourself. With that said, my votes are: Eddie Flair |

You know what's funny, is that one day everyone on this forum is saying stuff like "better matches are subjective" and stuff and that whoever gets people more excited is the better worker, and the next day everyone will say something like "Eddie is better than The Rock in the ring". By most people on this board's own logic, Rock is automatically the better worker because he gets people much more into the matches and is more exciting. And um, how about I say whatever the fuck I want and you worry about your own "ignorant statements?" Kthnx. Take a poll of the majority of wrestling fans on who they like more, Rock or Eddie, the results would be hilariously lopsided in favor of Rock. Bottom line is prior to mid-2004 nobody gave two shits about Eddie Guerrero outside of smarks. Had guys like Rock and Austin stuck around, he never would have smelled the main event, or gone into the WWE Hall of Fame, or won this vote over The Rock. Just the truth. Notice how prior to Owen Hart dying, he was a guy who dressed in a blue cape and ran around acting like the Eugene or Hornswoggle of his time (which was a misuse of him). Then he dies, and suddenly the IWC is saying he was "the best WWE wrestler to never win a title". |

I'm pretty sure the WWE's massive Latino audience really loved Eddie Guerrero, and they're not smarks. Also, by your own admission, you don't like Cena because he doesn't entertain you. Personal preference is all that matters is the statement that that thinking gives off. So with that line of thought, why should I say Rock is better than Eddie because more people like him? Sure, Rock was a fantastic wrestler in the truest sense of the word, as well as a fantastic promo and storyteller. But so was Eddie, just lesser on promos. It's personal preference, man. Eddie was always fucking great, and you know that saying "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." ? I'm fairly certain that can be applied here. |

Did I ever say you should say that? No I didn't, my point was that it seems most people turn around and use different logic when the situation calls for it, and when it helps them justify their preference of one guy to another. I like Eddie Guerrero but like I said, I sincerely doubt most people would have picked him here if he was still alive, still wrestling the WWE. People never fully appreciate someone till they are gone, and sometimes they over-appreciate, or overrate them once they are gone. |

We're talking about 2 totally different things here. I'm talking about move execution, ring psychology and the selling of moves. The ability to make whoever it is you're facing look like one of the absolute greatest. Eddie did these things, imo, better than most anyone ever in the WWE. The Rcok brought intensity to his matches, that's for sure. People were into The Rock's matches with anyone because of that. It's the same thing that Jeff Hardy has, but I don't here anyone praising Hardy for being what I said, a better "in ring worker". And before some people misunderstand what I said there, in no way am I trying to compare The Rock to Jeff Hardy. They just have that ability to pull people into their matches with the level of passion and commitment that rare superstars like them have. Charisma also goes a long way in that as well.
Never asked for the popularity vote, The Rock wins that one hands down. I asked for you to find me people who could say with a straight face that The Rock was a better ring worker. If there is any more mix up, please see the paragraph above for clarification on "in ring worker", because you missed what I said by a wide margin last time.
You could very well be right with that statement, but that's not the way it did happen. They left and new stars came about. While at their biggest SCSA and The Rock were two of the best, guys like Angle, Undertaker, HBK, HHH, etc. aren't what many would consider slouches and Eddie was pushed just as hard, if not harder, than those guys.
9 years ago I don't believe the IWC was quite as rampant as it is today really, so that statement really confuses me. It couldn't of been suddenly, it was 9 years ago. Over time, many of us I would assume, have had time to reflect on the careers of those passed and appreciate what they could do a lot more. Imo, I believe that you're just a Rock mark and can't stand to see him lose a vote really. |

Eddie Guerrero - Cuz he is latino and I was always a Eddie mark. The Rock is okay, but I like watching Guerrero matches/segment more, especially when he speaks in spainsh Stone Cold - Simply cuz I never saw Flair in his prime. |
