If true, awesome for Punk, given he's my boy more than anyone else on here. It'll make it all the more excellent when he finally does turn heel, and given how well he's worked face, it should prove nicely for him. |

You may not see that heel turn for a LONG time, if they do this, simply because why would they make him heel, if he's going to be marketed as the "Squeaky clean" guy? As nice as a heel turn would be for Punk, I wouldn't mind the marketing machine get behind him, so he can show why he's one of the best to the world, and not us IWC people. |

I thought that they were already doing that with John Cena. Oh well, if it means a big push for CM Punk, then I'm all for it. Its funny though, given the way Punks character was in ROH and the indy's, I never would've guessed that HE would ever be marketed towards children. |

That's pretty much what I meant to say, as far as if the marketing is now behind him to appeal to kids, imagine how big the reactions will be amplified when he eventually does turn heel. |

Oh, you can bet it'll be huge, but maybe he's the next Hogan? Gets so big, that you may NEVER see him turn heel. Hogan's run in the nWo was meant to make him heel, but I think all it did was allow him to become an ICON to an even bigger group of people. Same could be said of Punk, depending on how this whole situation works out for him. |

I love this idea, kids are passionate and will buy a lot of merch. They're easy to sell to, plus, this will make my arguments easier that Shelton Benjamin sucks in the WWE because he's out of context and Cena rules ass because he's in the WWE and fits perfectly. |

Guess all that crap about Punk being in the doghouse was a load of BS...... I'm well chuffed for Punk - not many people gave him a chance of lasting too long in the E given his style of wrestling prior to joining and here we are nearly 2 years later and now WWE have the faith in him to base a marketing campaign around him. I tip him for MITB this year as well. |

Me too, WWE likes to do foreshadowing and JR said he likes his chances. Just like in '04 JR said that he thought Batista was about to break out in an interview in WWE magazine. |
