I honestly don't know why he draws so well. He's been booked insanely strong and as The Ace for around 3 years now, so that's obviously a part of it, although he did have to grow into the role. He's probably the perfect guy at wrestling the WWE Main Event style - that is to say that he's good at punch/kick, and brawling, and always has good selling and a great build to the closing stretch. He shows great emotion in his angles remember when Orton punted Mr. Cena. Basically, he just does everything correctly and excels at what he needs to excel at to become a big draw in the position of the #1 guy in the #1 promotion in the US. Appeal to the kids and the women and the marks. The idea that he can make the IWC pay to see him POSSIBLY lose is just icing on the cake. As far as replacing him as the top face, I don't think so. At least not right now. Possibly Jeff Hardy, but he's not too great on promos at this point in his career though, despite his pops showing he's the #2 face atm behind Cena. Maybe in a few years, guys like Punk and MVP can maybe be there, but right now, I don't think anyone could do what he does. You could even tell when he was gone that nobody could step up, and I think it's a large part of why Orton's reign hasn't been great, as there's no real yin to Orton's yang like Cena was. Cena's the ultiamte good guy, and Orton's the ultimate bad guy, so they match up completely perfectly as a US wrestling face and a heel. They just have that chemistry and perfect charactariation together like a Austin and Rock, Rock and HHH, Hogan and Piper, Sting and Hogan, Hero and Quack, Punk and Joe, Misawa and Jumbo, Kawada and Misawa, ect. They just work together, and it shows, as it seems like they need each other. |

How come Ricky Steamboat's time on top seems relatively short for what he did? It was like the early 90's in WCW was him being on top, and that's it, a guy like Steamboat I would think would have had a career more like Savage's. |

I hate to answer for Simon but ill put my analysis.. Steamboat could never play a heel while Savage was a great heel (which is when he did have the title the most) and he could play a great baby face. Steamboat for all his ring work and his ring presence never really was chosen as the TOP guy because no promoter ever thought he could get over as a heel. Also he spent the early 80s in the land of the monsters and he stuck out just enough to be IC Champion and with Hogan there your not gonna get any farther than that. |

I don't ever recall him ever even being given a shot at being a heel, so to say he CAN'T seems a little presumptuous, but he just never did or didn't want to. One of the best babyfaces of all time easily though. |

Okay, so he couldn't play heel, Sting couldn't either, although I'd say that Sting had more charisma, Steamboat had more in ring ability, but charisma means more in the united states. Why didn't he go to Japan, him along with Hansen and Vader and the rest of Gaijins from that time period could have been good, surely he would have been able to stick with Kobashi. |

Probably because when he retired in 94, he was making enough in a comfy spot in WCW. He was in AJPW for periods during the early 80s and had some fun stuff over there. |

vs Jumbo Tsuruta in 1980 vs Harley Race in 1982 vs Flair in 1982 vs Tenryu in 1984 vs Tiger Mask II (Misawa) in 1989, although this could have been worlds better if it happened when Misawa had taken off the hood. Given the relationship that both the NWA and WWF had with AJPW and NJPW in this time frame, he really should have had more great great stuff, but whatever. |

Yea, to me he's sort of like the Christopher Daniels of his time, he had a ton of talent and could have had way more great/memorable moments/matches, but for whatever reason, hasn't, except for a few. |

Well, even at the end of his career (93-94), the guy had TONS more charisma and expresiveness than Daniels has had since about 2006 or so. Not to say Daniels has gotten lazy or anything, but it sure seems that he's gotten lazy or just declined massively from his peak earlier in the decade, where as Steamboat was always one of the best wrestlers in the world. I'm asking for another booking scenario, I'm stuck at home and I have some time to kill. |

Okay, here goes: Vin Gerard continues his hate of anything masked, and defeats all Colony members in singles matches. At the end of March, Vin targets Hallowicked and by association, Delirious. He gets Mitch Ryder to be his friend, via hatred of masked people, and they target the tag champions. Meanwhile, Cheech and Cloudy are unable to get any points, and lose to Soldier/Fire, 2.0, and LIC over the course of the spring, and finally to Vin/Mitch to give the anti-Chikara guys their 3 points. They narrowly lose to Incoherence, and try a beatdown, but Cheech and Cloudy make the save for their buddies. In the YLC, the final comes to Vin Gerard vs Cloudy. In the semis, Vin pins Cheech and Cloudy pins Shayne Hawke. Vin cheated a lot to get here, and Cloudy played it clean. In the finals, Vin pins Cloudy using lots of heel trickery. Over the summer, they keep losing, but up the ante in terms of risks taken, hoping to come up with a death move, but coming up short when going for big moves instead of wins. In the Cibernetico, it's some form of Kingston vs Quack with these teams, based on a CHIKARA vs Outsiders feud: Kingston: King, Sabian, Ruckus, Joker, Gerard, Mitch Ryder, Shayne Hawke, Larry Sweeney Quackenbush: Quack, Up in Smoke, Hallowicked, Team FIST, Hero, and Claudio. Vin eliminates Cloudy after heelness, and Hallowicked accidentally boots Cheech to eliminate him. Cheech and Hallowicked get in a dispute, causing Hawke to roll up Wicked for the elim. Through the fall, Up in Smoke now begin to act more distant and less family friendly occasionally talking about massive quantities of pot smoked, after spending the summer taking more risks and losing partially because of it. They get their three points, being more aggressive against The Colony, Los ICe Creams, and finaslly, they get point #3 by beating Vin and Ryder. Finally, on the finale weekend, it's Incoherence vs Up in Smoke. Hallowicked wins Fall 1 off a Big Boot on Cloudy, and Cheech wins Fall 2over Delirious with The Deluxe. In the last moments, they hit a big pair of tope Con Sentons to the floor and instead of pinning, go for the Powerbomb Shining Knee thing, but Hallowicked ducks the knee and rolls up Cheech for 3. Cheech looks around, realizing that they lost because they went for the crowd's approval instead of the win. Cheech attacks Hallowicked and throws him into the post, before doing the same to Hallowicked. Cloduy calms him down, and Quack comes out to try and help as well as Claudio and Shane Storm. Cheech seems to have come to his senses, but then BLKOUT comes down and beats back Los Technicos. Cloudy tries to pull back Cheech, but then he yells at Cloudy that their friendship is worth more than the crowd's respect, and they beat down Incoherence and bloody them up, going so far as to steel the masks of Hallowicked and Delirious. The last show, they wrestle as Incoherencito in a show of disrespect now and act more heelish with Cheech being a cheating bastard and Cloudy being a sneaky stoner, while Incoherence must defend the titles against FIST, who capitalize and win the titles. In 2009, Cheech and Cloudy show themselves as frequent allies of BLKOUT, teaming with Ruckus for KOT09. ****** That was very hard to do (TWSS), but it was done to the best of my ability. Next booking scenario plz. |

Do you mean would I book for them? Fuck yes, in an absolute heartbeat. My dream job is to be a wrestling booker, although I understand how hard it is to do without actually getting into the ring. I don't know if TNA would appreciate my adoration of a good build to a climax in an angle though, especially when it's simple. Short answer: Hells yes. |

All right. I asked Big Evil to do this, and I'd like to see you do it as well. Imagine that the Undertaker will lose his WrestleMania 25 match next year. You get to book the entire build up, who it is against, how it happens etc. You can start the program anytime after WrestleMania 24, but it has to result in an Undertaker loss at WrestleMania. |

Okay, I'm going to use this scenario to push my guy in the WWE, my boy Punker. Let's also pretend WM is in Chicago, k? At this year's No Way Out, Rey is announced as unable to compete, so CM Punk steps up given his issue with Edge. Sure, this trashes ECW a bit, but it's dead anyways, and to keep a future star like Punk there for too long is worthless. Punk is near able to hit the GTS, but with the interference from the Edgeheads, Vickie, and Chavo it comes down to Edge using a belt shot for 2, followed by a Spear to keep the win. The Undertaker wins the Elim. Chamber, obviously over MVP in the final round. At Wrestlemania, the big SD/ECW matches are Taker/Edge, MVP/Matt Hardy, and Punk is in the MITB along with Chavo, Kennedy, Benjamin, John Morrison, and Birchill. In the end, Punk hits a high kick to Chavo's temple to knock him off the ladder, and Punk grabs the MITB briefcase. The Undertaker wins the World Title, after CM Punk and Rey Mysterio fight off Hawkens and Ryder, enabling Taker to hit a Tombstone for the title. The next SD, Punk cashes in his MITB, just going for it. They have a great match, with Taker winning with the Gogoplata submission after Punk was unable to lift him for the GTS. Taker and Punk do shake hand spost match, but are jumped by the Edgeheads and Edge. From here on out, the WWE Draft happens and Punk is taken to Smackdown, along with John Morrison and Benjamin from ECW as well. At Backlash, the SD! main event is Edge/Edgeheads vs Undertaker/Punk/Rey, and if Edge can pin Taker he will get another title shot. Chavo comes down and beats down Rey, and it's 2 on 3. Taker takes the Edgeheads to the floor, and Punk takes them out with a dive of some sort, so it's Edge/Taker. Mark Henry and BDV come down and beat down Taker, enabling Edge to get the pin. At Judgment Day, it's Edge/Taker for the WHT and Edgeheads/Chavo vs Punk, Rey, and the recently debuted rookie and close friend of Punk, Colt Cabana. Punk pins Ryder with the GTS off a 619 from Rey. In the main event, Taker has Edge pinned when Henry and BDV once again come down and beat down Taker, causing a DQ, and Edge steals the WHT belt. Edge and Vickie have a June wedding planned, but before the wedding, Rey and Punk show footage of Edge spitting after kissing Vickie and more footage of him looking disgusted with himself. The announcers make it clear that Rey wants the best for Vickie, where as who knows why Punk is doing it, as he's laughing the whole time. Vickie dumps Edge, and orders Edge/Taker III at GSB, but this time inside of HELL IN THE CELL! At GAB, SD! had a triple tier main event as Edge/Taker III, Edgeheads vs Punk/Cabana, and Rey/Chavo all take place. Vickie has begun ruling fairly once more. Rey defeats Chavo, the Saints beat the Edgeheads, and in the main event, Taker destroys Edge inside HIAC. Soon after, Edge departs from SD! for Raw, and MVP steps up as Taker's next challenger at Vengeance. On the undercard, both Rey Mysterio and CM Punk make their intentions known for the US Title held by Matt Hardy. At Vengeance, Punk/Rey is made while Matt defends the title against John Morrison. At Vengeance, Matt retains the title, while Rey narrowly defeats Punk with a sunset flip out of the GTS position. In the main event, Undertaker defeats MVP with the Tombstone. In between then and Summerslam, Undertaker is able to have a succesful defense against John Morrison on SD!, while Matt Hardy beats Rey Mysterio on the same episode. In a #1 contender's match for the US Title at Summerslam, CM Punk pins MVP in a big victory for him, as MVP had a very competitive match against Taker at Vengeance. At Summerslam, Punk wins the US Title, and MVP is able to win a three way #1 contender's match against Rey Mysterio and John Morrison, while Undertaker defeats Mark Henry. At Unforgiven, Undertaker defeats MVP once more, but MVP did come much closer this time. CM Punk loses the US title to John Morrison, and in the back, Edge mocks him, as Edge won the WWE Title from Cena at Summerslam. Edge reminds him that Punk has always choked in big matches. At No Mercy, CM Punk barely loses to John Morrison in his last chance at the US Title when Morrison uses the ropes. The Undertaker retains the title over BDV in a Street Fight, and Edge retains the WWE Title over Triple H in the main event. At Cyber Sunday, the choices for Taker's WHT Title match are CM Punk, MAtt Hardy, and MVP. Punk wins 43% of the vote, barely beating Matt Hardy's 41%, to MVP's 16% for a heel. Punk and Undertaker have a VERY close match, but Punk is unable to get Taker up for the GTS. To his credit, Punk kicks out of the Last Ride and Chokeslam. He is able to avoid the Tombstone, but he gets caught in Taker's Gogoplata. Punk is able to counter into a nearfall, but he soon falls to the Tombstone. Edge mocks him once again when he gets backstage, prompting a brawl. For Survivor Series, a SD! vs Raw match main events with SD being Taker/Punk/Matt Hardy/MVP/John Morrison and Raw being Edge/John Cena/HHH/Jeff Hardy/Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy is able to pin Undertaker to earn a title shot at Armageddon, while Punk is able to score a rollup pin over Triple H. John Cena and MVP both get counted out brawling, and it comes down to Edge vs Punk in the final. Punk narrowly loses, going down to a Spear after Edge used a low blow, and Edge once again mocks Punk for losing the big one. At Armageddon, Undertaker defeats Kennedy to retain, while Edge loses his WWE Title to a returning Randy Orton in a 4 way involving HHH and Jeff Hardy, while MVP shockingly pins Cena on the undercard. CM Punk is in a 6 man to open the show with Punk/Cabana/Rey Mysterio facing Morrison/Benjamin/Chuck Palumbo. The build to the Rumble is something else. SD! has the Beat The Clock challenge, and Punk is set to beat Morrison's time, but he coems down and distracts Punk long enough to not make it, and Morrison gets the shot at Taker. On the Raw side, John Cena makes it his intention to go for Orton and the WWE Title, while Edge has the same goal. At the Rumble, Taker defeats Morrison and Orton retains the title over HHH. In the Rumble, Edge is eliminated when he and Matt Hardy have an encounter and elimiante each other. The final two are CM Punk and John Cena, in a battle of the #1 face on Raw and the #2 face on SD. Punk looks to hit the GTS, but Cena grabs his knee and FU's Punk to the floor to win the Rumble once more. Punk is now getting on edge, while Undertaker continues his epic title reign, battling with Matt Hardy now at No Way Out. The Elimination Chamber for a title shot is between Edge, Jeff Hardy, HHH, CM Punk, MVP, and John Morrison this year. Punk and HHH are in first, followed by Hardy, then Edge, then MVP, then Morrison. MVP is out first, following a Pedigree. Morrison eliminates HHH shockingly, and then Edge eliminates MAtt Hardy, and Punk eliminates Morrison. It's down to Punk and Edge, and as Edge has said since September, Punk seems to be a big match choker. Except this time, CM Punk is able to hit the GTS on Edge and win a title shot at The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25. The build is something else. Punk is one of the first to come out and admit right away that he is scared of the Undertaker, but says that his fear will fuel him to overcome, and that he's not a big match choker anymore. Undertaker says that Punk is good, but he's not ready yet. They have a build of partially respect, and the classic archetype of the dominating and unbeatable champion facing the hot young gun who wants to step up. Punk repeatedly says that his dream is to win the title at WM, and that he's never let anything stop his dreams. Undertaker counters this by saying all dreams have fallen at his feet for 16 WrestleManias now. At SNME, it's Undertaker and Orton vs Cena and Punk in a tremendous contest. Punk is able to lock Undertaker into the Anaconda Vice, but he holds on. Punk is still unable to pick Taker up for the GTS, and the end comes when Orton pins Cena following an RKO on a chair and The Punt. At WrestleManis 25, the card is this for the big matches: Punk/Taker, Orton/Cena, HHH/Morrison, HBK/Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy/Edge, and the MITB is MVP/Finlay/Benjamin/Jericho/Kennnedy/Noble/Burke/London. Kennedy is able to win MITB, both Hardys win their matches, and HHH defeats Morrison. In a suprise, Cena does not main event, but defeats Randy Orton for his revenge finally and wins the WWE Title back. Undertaker/CM Punk II is the main event. The mood in the air is one of change, as Cena did not main event for the first time in 3 years. Punk comes out to "Night Train" (his big match theme), looking both confident and apprehensive, getting his big shot in his hometown. Undertaker comes out, having held the WHT for exactly a year now, and having beaten Punk six months earlier, looking confident for a dead man. The match is a fucking epic. Punk busts out the Shining Wizard, Running Tornado DDT, and the KENTA Special to try and suprise the Undertaker, but it does nothing. CM Punk eats a Chokeslam and Taker signals for the end. Punk escapes a Tombstone and hits a series of kicks and a high kick. He tries for the GTS, but cannot get Taker up, so Taker locks in the Triangle Choke. Punk doesn't tap, so Taker turns it into the Gogoplata. Punk almost passes out, but keeps his arm up on the 3rd time, causing a MASSIVE eruption from the Chicago crowd for the Chicago raised boy. He gets out, and he is able to lock in the Anaconda Vice! Taker uses his free arm to grab Punk by the throat though and he gets him up and off the hold. Taker hits a 2nd Chokeslam, followed by the LAst Ride, but Punk kicks out! Undertaker signals for the end, and he hits the Tombstone! The end looks certain here, as the referee counts. The crowd boos viciously, one...two...NO! Punk kicks out! Taker gets up and slowly walks around in disbelief. He goes to the top, as he did last time someone kicked out a Tombstone at a WM. He tries for the Flying Clothesline, but Punk kicks him in the head! Punk climbs to the top, but Taker stops him. Taker climbs up as well, and Punk tries to hook the arms, a shoutout to his hardcore fans, going for the Pepsi Plunge. Taker Backdrops him out though and climbs down. He tries for a 2nd Tombstone, but CM Punk wiggles back and hits his own Tombstone! Taker sits up out of it though and Punk rushes him with a flurry of slaps, forearms, kicks, chops, and headbutts. Taker shakes his head no and grabs Punk by the throat. He tries for the Chokeslam, but Punk goe sbehind him. He tries for the GTS, but Taker stays on his feet and tries for a 2nd Tombston again. Punk slides over his back and Taker turns around. Punk is FINALLY able to pick Taker up onto his shoulders and hit the GO TO SLEEP!!! Taker collapses onto the mat and Punk hooks both the legs, ONE...TWO...THREEEEEE!!!!!! Punk has done it, and streamers fall from the ceiling, and "Night Train" plays as another classic WM moment is acheived. Undertaker will go on to retire that year at SummerSlam. **** That was a fucking doozy to write, excuse the length. Next scenario plz, thanks. |
