Cabana: I would have him come in as a comedy character around March in that angle I just did with Punk/Taker. He wins some undercard matches, and around early May, the Edgeheads come down and attack him, wanting to prove a point, except that they don't realize that they're attacking Punk's best friend, and he comes down for the save, and it's a tag match with Punk/Cabana vs Ryder/Hawkins and Cabana gets the pinfall, and is established as Punk's #2 guy and a solid midcarder.

Sydal: I would bring him in as a midcarder with some combination of being an arrogant bastard and wanting to prove himself. He'd still be a babyface, but an RVD style face, where's he's cocky, but puts on great matches and gets over with his ego still in place. Put him against MVP for a PPV, and if that works, continue the feud.

Do you plan on actually taking steps to become a wrestling booker? If so, what steps?

No, I think going to college and getting a real job is a much safer route. Should the situation ever present itself though, I would absolutely jump on the idea. However, wrestling generally a shady terrible business, so I don't really know how much I want to get into it. I know Gabe basically became Heyman's bagboy to get his foot in the door, but I hate Gabe, so that's not happening.

I'm relying on Maxwell to become a wrestler and eventually start a promotion and call me to become a booker, but outside of that, who knows. Maybe I'll become a Hollywood writer for a kid's TV show, so then I can maybe work for the WWE.

It shouldn't be too hard, it's not like there are a ton of people going "I wanna be a pro wrestling booker."

Here's what you should do, become a writer, go to college, get some sort of creative writing degree, could even be a minor.

Work for a few years at whatever, start attending a local indy show (preferably one with ties) eventually, talk to the guys, see if you can help out, work your way up, start booking.

Wrestling's NOT that hard to get into fellas, it's 2008, not 1978. Shit man, I just emailed BJ Race to see if I could help set up the ring at the next show and get my foot in the door, she said sure, just to email her what dates I'll be available.

I'm going to be a pro wrestler, I start training full time on Feb. 24. I want to eventually start my own promotion, and if I do, I'm going to give Simon a ring. You could get in to wrestling, but it costs a shitload of money and takes up a lot of time. He's better off just having me get in to wrestling and him getting a real job. But don't tell him that.

Restore the prestige that once belonged to the IC Title going into WM25, starting whenever you want.

After WM, Matt Hardy is the US champion, and Kennedy defeats JEff Hardy going into WM for the IC Title.

I would unify the 2 titles on SD, and impliment the draft to get a good US division of Matt Hardy, Punk, Morrison, Benjamin, Rey Mysterio, Burke, Burchill, Cabana, James Gibson, MVP, and Matt Sydal. This would hurt Raw a bit, but I'd unify the tag belts and give them all the teams like Londrick, Rednecks, Deuce/Domino, Holly/Rhodes, Jessie/Festus, etc.

Unification match at Backlash of Matt vs Kennedy, and Matt takes the belt to SD!. Constant defenses every few weeks, and set up a few trios matches of Matt/Punk/Rey vs Morrison/MVP/Benjamin, and establish James Gibson as a guy looking to move up the ranks. Debut Matt Sydal, and have him set up as an MVP rival. Matt has great SD! matches from May to July against Morrison, MVP, Burke, Cabana, and Burchill, and is put over as a true fighting champion.

Around July, Rey and Punk both look to go after the title, but Rey wins the contender's match. Matt turns back the challenge of Rey, and around this time, I start habitually giving Matt's defenses 15-20 minutes on SD and over 20 on PPV to develop.

At Summerslam, Punk gets the title in a 21 minute match after countering the Twist of Fate into a backslide. Punk comes out on the next SD and is immediately attacked by Morrison. At the next PPV, Morrison wins the belt with a title shot, after 6+ months of clean finishes in IC Title matches. Punk demands a rematch, but Morrison puts roadblocks in his way. Punk defeats Burke one week, then Benjamin the next all while Morrison refuses to defend the title like Hardy and Punk did. At No Mercy, Morrison retains with a rollup using the ropes and Punk is barred from US title matches against Morrison now.

During this time, Gibson has earned wins over Colt Cabana, Sydal, and a shocker over Rey Mysterio with his Guillotine Choke. At Cyber Sunday, Morrison defends the title against either Sydal, Gibson, or Rey Mysterio. Rey wins, and Morrison defeats him.

Morrison is forced into biweekly defenses, narrowly defeating Cabana, Matt Hardy, Mysterio, and purposely getting counted out against Gibson and DQ'd against Sydal.

At Armageddon, MVP is able to defeat John Cena in a huge upset when Orton interferes for MVP. On the undercard, Morrison defeats Sydal, Gibson, and Matt Hardy when he steals a pin from Sydal after he hits the SSP on Gibson. Morrison barely scapes yet again with the US Title.

During the annual Beat The Clock challenge, Morrison wins and gets a WHT shot at Undertaker. Before the Rumble though, Undertaker distracts Morrison in a title match long enough for MVP to roll him up and capture the title. At the Rumble, MVP defends the title against James Gibson, and retains with two Player's Boots in a 22 minute match that comes out of nowhere. MVP begins to tout himself as the greatest champion ever around this time, and at a SD show, is pinned by Matt Sydal in a tag match as Sydal/Punk/Cabana/Gibson vs Morrison/Benjamin/MVP/Burke.

MVP refuses to defend against him, but still defends with succeful defenses against Paul London, Colt Cabana, Finlay, and Benjamin. In early February, he faces Matt Sydal for the title and after Sydal kicks out of the Playmaker, he hits him with the US title to intentionally DQ himself. Whoever the GM is says there's a rematch the next week with No DQ, and MVP intentionally is counted out. The next week, there's a no DQ or no Countout match for the title, and Sydal looks to have the win, but it turns out MVP payed off Benjamin and Burke to come down and interfere, and MVP gets the win.

At No Way Out, Sydal defeats Burke, and the next SD!, he defeats Benjamin and MVP beats him down post match and gives him a chair-assisted Player's Boot, while MVP defeats Rey Mysterio with a Player's Boot after 20+ minutes. MVP claims to have beaten every possible challenger cleanly now, and intends to retire with the title belt next week. That week, Sydal comes down and says MVP can't beat him clean, and challenges him for Mania. MVP says in order to do this, he has to beat every former US/IC champion on SD, and points to his ridiculous contract for proof that Sydal has to do this.

So Sydal defeats Finlay one week, Matt Hardy the next, Morrison the 3rd week, and CM Punk the 4th when MVP accidentally hits Punk with the title belt. All the while, MVP only faces job guys, refusing to defend the title as he has supposedly retired it. The 5th and final week before WM, Sydal defeats Benjamin to complete the challenge and it's Sydal vs MVP at Mania.

At Mania, MVP tries to get counted out, but Sydal brings him back in. He hits Sydal with the US Title, but the referee refuses to DQ him, and Sydal kicks out at 2. Sydal is able to counter the Playmaker into the Here IT IS Driver and hits the SSP, but MVP gets his foot on the ropes! Sydal then goes up top, but MVP hits the Player's Boot as Sydal jumps to him! sydal is able to kick out though and MVP climbs up. Sydal is able to get up as well, and he hits the Sydal Special (Flipping Super Belly to Belly) for the US Title.

****

Next scenario plz.

How would you book the slower parts of AJPW after Jumbo passed ? So basically 1997-2000. Also, would you care to include how the NOAH split would work if or even if it occurred at all ?

I have entertained the idea of being a wrestler before and if this happened I would prolly hope at John Walters school a few towns away from mine but The chances of any of it happening are beyond slim, I'm too short and light but I can dream I guess.

1. Give Akiyama the push. Not a push to the moon or something, but say in the 1998 Champion's Carnival, Akiyama beats Misawa clean, instead of it happening the other way like in real life. A big part of why Akiyama never got big is because he never got the gentle touch of overness that The Ace is supposed to give the next Ace. Baba did it to Jumbo, and Jumbo did it to Misawa. Don't give Akiyama the Triple Crown yet, but establish Taue/Kawada and Akiyama/Kobashi both centering in on Misawa's thrown, and see how long he can hold out.

2. Take away the emphasis on headdrops. Around 97, shit just become a game of "hey, top this" that eventually desensitized the crowd and ended up severely shortening the careers of all involved. Right now, Misawa's only 46, but wrestled like Flair does, and Flair's like 60. Kobashi being able to wrestle is a miracle of science, and Kawada hardly lets himself do any big matches because he knows he can't really go at that level anymore. Akiyama's still relatively good because he came into the main event at the end of this scene and was able to save himself. Train the audience to expect more submission finishers, and end some of Misawa's defenses with the Facelock. Fuck, it beat Jumbo, why not anyone else? Kawada's Stretch Plum also is built up as a big threat, and Akiyama already used the Front Guilltoine.

As for the NOAH split:

That's not a matter of booking. I probably would have trusted Misawa's vision of Makoto Baba's. IF you're asking if I was Mokoto Baba....I would not have fucked Johnny Ace while my husband was dying.

If I was booking AJPW during the split, I would have put more emphasis on Kawada being the lone samurai type figure defending the legacy he helped build, and put the Triple Crown on him and book the story where he feels he needs to prove himself as a champion now to rebuild AJPW.

Ah, not bad not bad at all. The post split Kawada-samuari idea is especially good and Akiyama's push is definatly a very good idea aswell.

You get your foot in the door my friend and you will have a future in this shit.

How about doing the same thing you did for the US title, only this time for the tag belts. Either unify them or just pick one side to do.

As I said in the last one, I'd unify them and put the belts on Raw. In this scenario, Burke and Benji go to Raw and tag.

So the division is:

-Londrick
-Redneck Wrecking Crew
-Highlanders
-Black Panthers [Burke/Shelton]
-Holly/Rhodes
-Carlito/Santino
-Tea, Biscuits, and Incest [Burchill and DH Smith]
-Team Heat [Val Venis/Charlie Haas]
-The Odd Couple [William Regal/The Miz]

I'd have something simple first off, like some more defenses from Holly and Rhodes after WM, and the formation of Burchill/Smith, Team Heat, and bring the rest over in the Draft.

Around May or so, Londrick wins the tag team titles, and begin to have outstanding matches on Raw and PPV given an average of 10+ minutes for defenses, and putting on a particularly outstanding match at the July PPV Vengeance with Burke and Benjamin, and establish them as having unbeatable teamwork.

Around August, start to add them to main event feuds in Raw in multiman main event tags. Say you have Cena/HHH/Londrick vs Orton/Umaga/Black Panthers, it gets the tag division over as important, and lets them wrestle top guys and look semi-credible as big time players.

I would like to get something going where a upper-midcard heel is pinned by one of them in a multiman tag and makes it his mission to get the tag titles from them, and defeats both of them in singles matches. For this booking, say it's Ken Kennedy. He tries to recruit other wrestlers to be his partner, but every time, Londrick uses superior teamwork to get the job done. Around September, Kennedy buys Umaga's services and they steamroll ove rLondrick using Umaga's brute force and power.

Kennedy and Umaga now intend to really do nothing with the titles but use them as props, and after months of constant defenses, this doesn't fly, so they have to defend them. They win every time and are actually quite dominant. They even defend them against HHH and HBK at one point, putting the tag title in center stage, and at the Royal Rumble, have an open challenge. The Hardys come out and nearly defeat them using superior teamwork, but Kennedy beats them down with a chair. However, Londrick comes to the save but are beaten down as well but a steel chair and Umaga' brute strength.

Going into WM, the big tag feud is Kennedy/Umaga vs Londrick, with both teams convinced their way of teaming will prevail. Kennedy and Umaga are merely tag partners for business, and don't get alona t all, but live on the philosophy that two singles guys high on the card can beat any midcard tag team. Londrick are best friends and think superior teamwork can conquer anything. Around February, I would have Londrick cleanly defeat the Hardys in a Raw match to close the 1st hour, showing that these kids are the new standard for tag greatness.

At WM, they fight, and Umaga and Kennedy dominate, but it can be clearly seen that they aren't on the same page. Londrick take any slight advantage given to them and score some CLOSE nearfalls of rollups and flying moves, but each time, they are overwhelmed. Both Umaga and Kennedy want to be the one to finish the match though, not being a team at all and just tow singles guys. Using this distraction, London and Kendrick are able to knock Umaga to the floor, and London hits a running SSP off the apron Billy Kidman0style. In the ring, Kendrick and Kennedy are able to fight long enough for Paul to come in and they land the Sliced Bread #2/Sunset Flip Powerbomb doubleteam combination for the 3 count and the titles.

I'll do the actual one later after school or something, but I'll do the 2nd one now:

Teddy Hart is extremely entertaining. He's a complete screwup and failure in every sense of the word, even moreso when you look at his last name. However, when he's on, he's fucking on. Tremendous high flyer and completely willing to die for his craft, which makes me very entertained. Also, his promos are hilarious, especialy the ones where he's clearly high on something says if the fans cheer for him, he'll die for them.

Also, there is no God, and that cage WAS NOT 30 feet high.

So Teddy is like Nicholas Cage, not really good at what he does, just entertaining? Also, to me it seems like he hasn't improved much since like '05, he still looks to me like a 2004 or 2005 Jack Evans.

Okay, my booking for Joe in TNA from post-Genesis 2006 to BFG 2007.

As Angle/Joe I just occured, keep them completely seperated. I'd main event the December PPV with the Abyss vs Christian Cage, with Sting vs Samoa Joe on the undercard, and Angle not scheduled for a match. Christian wins the TNA Title as Tomko debuts earlier than in real life to give Christian the title. Joe cleanly defeats Sting on the undercard, but given the shady nature of the Abyss/Christian match, the Jan. PPV is signed to be Christian/Abyss II, except that Joe feels that beating Sting should get him something, while Sting has unfinished business with Abyss. So it's a four way, and Christian retains after he pins Abyss, who after fighting back Tomko, is hit with a Muscle Buster by Joe. James Mitchell, still in Abyss' corner at this time, distracts Joel ong enough for Christian to get the pin.

Christian and Mitchell seem to have struck a deal of some kind, and at AAO 2007, the main event is scheduled to be Christian/Tomko/Abyss vs Joe/Sting/mystery partner. The mystery partner is a returning Angle, who pins Christian clean. Joe does not look entirely pleased, as he was becoming the top babyface in TNA while Kurt was gone.

At Destination X 2007, it's Angle vs Christian for the TNA Title, while the undercard sees Abyss/Sting in some gimmick match and Tomko/AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe/Rhino, instead of the Elevation X debacle. Joe beats Tomko with The Choke, while Sting is able to vanquish Abyss. In the main event, Christian tries every cheap trick around, but due to earlier matches, his backup guys aren't in any condition to interfere, and Kurt Angle becomes the new TNA Champion.

I would abolish Lockdown, because it's retarded. After DX, Joe asks Kurt for a title shot, but before he can accept, Christian and Tomko attack them. The main event would be a Street Fight of Christian and Tomko vs Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe, while the undercard would see a Cage Match between Rhino and AJ Styles. Rhino finally gets his win over AJ, and in the main event, after some disagreement between Joe and Angle, Christian rolls up Angle quickly for the win.

At Sacrifice, it would be Christian/Angle II, and this time, it's a clean match, and Angle wins cleanly, showing some more cockiness in this match, while on the undercard, Samoa Joe defeats Tomko cleanly.

After Sacrifice, Joe again asks Kurt for a title shot, and Kurt hesitates, before Christian and AJ Styles come out, but Joe and Angle are saved by a returning Sting. At Slammiversary, the KOTM match is between Angle, Christian, Joe, AJ Styles, and Sting. Angle retains, but it is important to note that Samoa Joe is able to pin Angle in the match.

At Victory Road, Angle/Sting for the first time on PPV is the main selling point, as Angle has begun to have a new character of a slightly arrogant yet unbeatable champion who backs it up in the ring with clean wins. On the undercard, Samoa Joe cleanly defeats Tomko, now having defeated both of Christian's henchmen, and Christian beats down Joe post-match, bloodying Joe up in a rare occasion.

At Sacrifice, the main event is Angle vs a now turned face Abyss, and Angle retains via rollup into an Angle Lock causing Abyss to pass out. On the undercard, Samoa Joe cleanly pinned Christian, and after the main event, he comes out and asks for a title shot, but Kurt leaves the ring, not answering him.

On an Impact in early September, Joe asks for another title shot, but Kurt says he's already booked for No Surrender against AJ Styles. The announcer sput over that AJ is really great, but Joe only has one loss in his entire TNA career. Joe demands a title shot at BFG, and Angle once again denies him, saying he hasn't done anything to impress Kurt. Joe then goes to Cornette, who puts him in a 4 man one night tournament at NS, to determine who face sKurt at BFG.

At No Surrender, Kurt defeats AJ to retain the title, and Joe beats James Storm in the tourney, as well as Sting defeating Christian. In the main event, Sting and Samoa Joe have a fantastic 22 minute contest, where Joe beats Sting with The Choke.

Building up to BFG, Samoa Joe tells Kurt he cant run from him anymore after 11 months of avoiding him, and 6 of using every excuse not to defend the title against him. Angle keeps saying that Joe is a great wrestler, but he's not Kurt Angle good, and says that Kurt has never lost a singles match in TNA, and asks if Joe has done that. Kurt basically thinks he cannot be beaten.

At BFG, it's a fantastic match. Joe is this time able to survive the Angle Lock and make the ropes, where as Kurt was unprepared for Joe's big moves, as he didn't get to fulyl use his aresnal at Genesis 2006. Angle takes the Muscle Buster and Island Driver and survives, but barely is able to live through the Choke, before desperately using every reversal before resorting to a low blow to escape. He hits the Angle Slam, but Joe kicks out, and Angle tries it from the top, but Joe is able to block and he hits a Super Muscle Buster (!!!), but a nearly dead Angle grabs onto the bottom rope. Joe tries for the Choke again, but Angle tries to go behind and roll Joe up with a bridge, but it shows Angle's arrogance, as Joe always counters that back into The Choke, and this time, Angle taps out and Samoa Joe wins the TNA Championship!

****

Enjoy? Next scenario plz and thanks.

Book a storyline in which TNA starts letting their guys go back to ROH and work regularly. I don't care if it's an invasion sort of thing, if you do each individually, don't care, just wanna see what you'd do.

Well, I'd have the MCMG face the NRC in Detroit and then Briscoes in Chicago if they're staying full time. They win both matches, and declare themselves to be the best tag team in the world, and demand a tag team title shot for a show in the future.

Say they return for their title shot in June, and they win the titles. Bam, MCMG are back on the roster via the precedent set by Chris Hero becoming a roster member by becoming a tag champion in 2006.

I'd also have Hero win the ROH Title, and go around defeating all the former champions before declaring himself to be the best ROH Champion ever after cleanly beating Bryan Danielson. All of a sudden, a certain Godzilla march starts to play, and The Fucking Man returns to reclaim his throne.

After Joe announces he's back to regain his title, I'd announce in a Newswire that now that ROH's PPV deal is over, TNA guys can appear on shows. I'd keep Joe and MCMG as the main ones, but I'd keep bringing in AJ Styles, Homicide, Hernandez, and maybe Daniels as special attraction deals and get dream matches like LAX/Briscoes, LAX/DIFH, AJ/Hero, AJ/Claudio, AJ/KENTER (!!!!!), and AJ/Daniels vs Briscoes, stuff like that for the DBD, GBH, Final Battle, Anniversary type shows.

If I could only bring them in a few times, I would have MCMG/AOTF and MCMG/NRC on the April shows, and bring in Joe for a select few dates to do that "make future stars look awesome in defeat" thing with Stevens, Hero, Claudio, and maybe Jimmy Jacobs. In his last show, I would have him lose completely clean to whoever ROH wants to push as the new Ace, because as I've said, I have trouble buying anyone in ROH as being definitively The Man without beating the last one in ROH to be The Man, Samoa Joe.
