WWE Raw
February 8th, 2010
Lafayette, LA

TONIGHT: DX vs. SES vs. ShowMiz

featured an opening segment in which guest host Carl Edwards was seen spinning his car in the parking lot and into the arena; after the car entered the arena, it was revealed Hornswoggle, not Edwards, was driving; Kelly Kelly then introduced Edwards in the ring, with Edwards then coming out alongside Brie & Nikki Bella; Edwards then did a backflip off the top before taking the mic, recognizing the New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl the day before, and noted the Daytona 500 was coming up; Edwards said he had a friend in John Cena, with WWE World Champion Sheamus then interrupting, noting he aimed to get to WrestleMania as champion, and said he should be the last man to enter the Elimination Chamber; ECW World Champion Christian then walked out, shook Edwards' hand, and said Edge came out the previous week and said he would face either World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker or Sheamus at WrestleMania without mentioning Christian; Christian then noted Vince McMahon's announcement that ECW was going off the air, insulted Sheamus, said all the ECW stars would become free agents, and thought he would test the waters on Raw by challenging Sheamus to a match later in the show; Edwards agreed, leading into the opening match

Match #1: Sheamus vs. Christian
Good 10 minutes, but Christian's done better. Was sort of hurt by the lack of a real big Christian bump as a transition like he's done for most matches since his return, and a lack of focus by Sheamus. Essentially, this is harmed by just being a normal formula match as opposed to Christian's awesome ECW stuff. Christian's comeback is good, but Sheamus wins clean with the High Cross.
**3/4

In the back, Shawn talks to H. He says maybe there's a silver lining here, and they can go to WrestleMania as a tag team. H says he's in the Chamber though, and he intends on winning and defending the WWE Title at Mania. Shawn is mad and asks if it's all about him now, and he leaves.

They show the footage from the Batista/Cena incident last week.

In the back, Priceless talks. Ted says since he's in the Chamber and Cody isn't, it's obvious that he's the better one. Cody says he had the much tougher opponent. Orton comes in and asks Ted if he thinks he's better than him and Ted says they'll find out in the Chamber. Orton says he wants to test Cody's theory because it makes sense, so it's Cena vs. Ted tonight. I think I finally get this. Ted is the heel, Orton is neutral, and Cody is the babyface. Orton says he knows Cody meant well at the Rumble, so he'll be facing him tonight.

Before the tag match, Punk gets on the mic. He talks about people in this area celebrating their little football win with drugs and alcohol because they know no other way to celebrate, and he says he will do what the government couldn't, and he will save this place. He says he sees Jared from Subway in the crowd and he would be a great spokesman for the Straight Edge Society. He says no and then....

"Luke, Serena....go get me Jared from Subway..."

They go after him, but DX comes out to stop it. :(

Match #2: D-Generation X [c] vs. The Big Show/The Miz vs. CM Punk/Luke Gallows w/ Serena [WWE Unified Tag Team Championship - Elimination Match]
I can't call them ShoMiz. I'm sorry, that name fucking sucks. Punk is clearly the best guy in this and carries it when he's in. Show and Miz and Gallows have some good stuff too. Horribly, the best team is out first when Shawn pins Punk with the Sweet Chin Music, which makes me throw shit in anger since Shawn is really dogging it tonight. Later on, Shawn tags himself in against H's wishes. Miz shoves Shawn into H then AND MIZ SCHOOLBOYS SHAWN TO WIN! AWESOME!
**1/2

Shawn is mad and storms off.

In the back, Shawn corners Teddy and asks to be traded to Smackdown. He says he doesn't care about DX and he can go to SD and get in the Chamber, and then he can win the title and give Taker a rematch at Mania. Teddy says the contracts are all signed and he can't change it for him. Shawn grabs him by the collar and H pulls him off. He asks how much he'll throw away for this including his career, and Shawn says his career is over and Superkicks T'Lo.

Match #3: Gail Kim vs. Jillian
Gail wins in 50 seconds. Maryse does commentary.
1/2*

Maryse comes in and shakes Gail's hand.

HALL OF FAME 2010: TED DIBIASE!

included a backstage segment with Edwards and Jared, with Santino Marella then walking in and singing the "$5 footlong theme;" Marella then complained that Jack Swagger must pay for taking him out of the Rumble, with Edwards making a match between Santino and Swagger for Thursday on WWE Superstars; moments later, Kofi Kingston and suggested Edwards set up singles matches for the next week between all the Elimination Chamber participants; they then discussed the integrity and class the next week's host would have, leading into the announcement Jerry Springer would be the host; the camera then cut backstage as Edwards spoke but the audio cut out

Match #4: Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes
This is good for the 2 minutes it lasts. Sheamus runs down to distract Orton, and Cody gets the Cross Rhodes for a big upset.
*1/2

Sheamus hits Orton with the Brogue Kick, but Cody comes back in with a chair and runs him off. Cody then helps Orton up.

They show the Cena/Batista stuff again.

In the back, Josh is with Carl Edwards. Next week, it's Cena/H, Sheamus/Orton, and Kofi/Ted.

Cena vs. Ted never happens. Cena jumps Ted as he gets in and beats the shit out of him on the floor. He then puts on the STFU until he stops moving, and then Cane gets back in the ring. He calls Batista out to the ring to fight him, since he's still here, and challenges him to finish the job. He says he's not leaving until he does, and a commercial happens.

Coming back, Cena is still in the ring. He says maybe Vince was the one behind Batista's attack. Vince comes out with a bunch of security and says he's here to talk, not fight. He says he did pay off Batista to attack Bret Hart, but Cena was never discussed and Batista acted on his own. Cena then starts doing his bullshit about how he lives for MOMENTS~ like the Chamber, but Vince was all about money. Cena says he talked to Bret Hart, and he wants to fight Vince at WrestleMania. Cena keeps prodding him AND VINCE ACCEPTS! Vince talks about destroying Bret and Cena leaves, AND BRET COMES FROM THE CROWD TO ATTACK VINCE! Security comes out and Bret gets rid of them but Vince leaves. He gets to the stage and says he rejects Bret's challenge, so Bret wrecks shit around the arena to end Raw.

ECW on SciFi
February 9th, 2010
Baton Rouge, LA

In the back, Tiffany addressed the amazing ECW roster and confirmed that next week was the finale of ECW, but then put on Mardi Gras beads and told everyone to have fun. Ryder complains about her not doing anything and is a dick, but she says WOO WOO WOO YOU KNOW IT! and walks off. She is perfect.

Match #1: Goldust/Yoshi Tatsu vs. The Dudebusters [#1 Contender's Match]
They get 10 minutes, and it is great. Goldust is fucking Goldust and it's great. Awesome bumping and selling and punches and pro wrestling in general. They isolate him and work the leg, leading to epic selling. They had some pretty great heel bullshit too. Yoshi had a great hot tag. Goldust sacrifices his knee with a running bulldog to cut off Trent, and Yoshi beats Croft with the Roundhouse Kick.
***

The DiBiase HOF video plays.

Match #2: Ezekiel Jackson w/ William Regal vs. Perry Wallace
Good 75 second squash for Zeke.
*1/2

Post-match, Regal gets on the mic and says Tiffany finally did a good thing as GM and has given Zeke a rematch with Christian next week for the ECW Title, and as ECW ends, so will Christian's title run.

Shelton comes out for the main event. He said when he came here, he thought he was too good for ECW, but he was wrong. He puts over ECW as that hardest working roster in the WWE, and says he'll miss everyone but Vance Archer, which is exactly how I feel.

Match #3: Shelton Benjamin vs. Vance Archer [No DQ - No Count Out]
Archer still fucking sucks, but Shelton does a good enough job carrying him. Shelton wins with Paydirt.

Christian vs. Zack Ryder w/ Rosa Mendes, Superstars (February 11th)
They have 7-8 minutes, so it is good. They've done better with more time in their 2009 series, but hey, it's good stuff. Formula Christian stuff with his apron spot going into Zack being in control. Here it's a DDT on the apron from Zack. His control seg is fine, and then Christian makes his comeback and wins with the Killswitch.
**3/4

Dolph Ziggler vs. JTG, Superstars (February 11th)

This is completely a Dolph carryjob. Awesome bumping, outstanding offense on the control seg, more great bumping for JTG's comeback. JTG wasn't bad or anything, but he was just a guy and Dolph could have done this with basically any competent wrestler. Dolph wins with the Peace Zig.

WWE Smackdown
February 12th, 2010
Baton Rouge, LA

Match #1: CM Punk w/ SES vs. Rey Mysterio

Really great match. They get 12 minutes and totally kill it. Punk looks incredible here, setting up everything perfectly, being completely on point on all of his offense and making Rey's stuff look perfect. Rey's selling could have been a little better, but that might just because Punk's looked so great. Rey worked the leg a little early on, and Punk sold it all match. Super hot finishing run, and Rey counters the GTS into a Snap Rana to win.
***1/2

Luke attacks post-match, and then amazingly, he lowers Rey onto Punk's shoulders as he's on his knees, and Punk hits the GTS.

OUT OF TIME....

SO SAY GOODBYE!

Match #2: Drew McIntyre vs. Kane
Some good parts from Drew here before they went to a double count out.
**

Post-match, Kane lays him out with a Chokeslam.

Match #3: Mickie James vs. LayCool
Good 3 minutes. Michelle beats Mickie with the Faith Breaker.
*1/2

Josh brings out Batista for an interview and asks about last week. Batista grabs the mic and Josh leaves. Batista walks around a lot, but leaves without saying anything.

Match #4: John Morrison vs. R-Truth
This ends in 50 seconds when Morrison hurts his ankle. Truth has a quick pin and then everyone helps Morrison to the back.
LOL

T'Lo comes out to book Edge/Batista for next week.

Match #5: Matt Hardy/The Great Khali vs. The Hart Dynasty
Maria and Natalya are there. This was mostly Khali and was 2 minutes, so this blew. Matt got a roll up on Kidd to win.
3/4*

RAW REBOUND!

Edge comes out to do commentary on the main event, but first, he cuts a promo. He talks about not having to go through the Elimination Chamber and says he has yet to decide who to challenge. Chris Jericho comes out and says Edge should save himself and go for the WWE Title, since he's going to win the World Title inside the Chamber. He says bad things will happen to Edge if he keeps antagonizing him.

Match #6: The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho [No DQ]
Again, the stip is only a set up for the finish and not used at all. Hate that shit, just do a ref bump or something. They're both not at their best and this is like 5 minutes, so this really isn't any good at all, and SUUUUUUUUPER disappointing. Taker throws Jericho into Edge at ringside and then kicks Edge in the face. They go back in, and Edge hits Taker with the Spear. Jericho then hits the Codebreaker to win.

TONIGHT: Christian/Zeke for the belt in an Extreme Rules match, the cast of NXT revealed

Match #1: The Big Show/The Miz [c] vs. Goldust/Yoshi Tatsu [WWE Unified Tag Team Championship]
Great match. Everyone delivered in their own way. Goldust was amazing again. The Yoshi/Big Show stuff had some really great big/little exchanges. Yoshi looked great against Miz too. Yoshi was an awesome face in peril, and that led to a really fantastic hot tag from Goldust. Lots of awesome punches. Show got a cheap shot to Goldust's gut from the floor and then Miz won with the Skull Crushing Finale. :(
***

Josh and Black ECW explain NXT.

PRO: CHRIS JERICHO, ROOKIE: WADE BARRETT.

PRO: MATT HARDY, ROOKIE: JUSTIN GABRIEL.

In the back, Tiffany hypes up NXT next week. Why are you so happy? You're losing your job! Zack comes in and is mad that he's not on the show. She says no, and says he lost to Christian on Superstars, but Zack says Superstars doesn't count. He might regret that. Zack says he tried to be nice, but it's Extreme Rules, and if he wants to make his presence felt, nobody can stop him, not even her. WOO WOO WOO YOU KNOW IT.

PRO: MVP, ROOKIE: SKIP SHEFFIELD.

IT'S THE ABRAHAM WASHINGTON SHOW! STARRING ABRAHAM WASHINGTON! HEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE'S ABE! He comes out and says since this is the last episode of ECW and maybe this show, his guest is himself! A HUH HUH HUH HUH HUH HUH HUH. Shelton Benjamin then comes out and Abe is mad. Shelton tells him to check his tone and this show is unwatchable even when he has a guest, and even worse when it's just him. He talks about how everyone is a free agent, and fucking Vance Archer comes out. He says Shelton better not go to whatever show he goes to. Abe says he has one week left before the security deposit on his furniture clears, and asks them not to mess it up again. The Dudebusters come out and say this is boring and the only thing that matters is what show they go to. AHUH HUH HUH HUH HUH HUH. Kozlov then comes out and speaks in Russian AND VLAD KILLS LANCE HOYT AND THE DUDEBUSTERS! ABE SAYS TO LEAVE HIS COUCH ALONE! AHUHHUHHUHHUHUHUHUHHUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUH. Tony leaves and Vlad and Shelton shake hands.

PRO: CARLITO, ROOKIE: MICHAEL TARVER

Elimination Chamber video.

PRO: THE MIZ, ROOKIE: DANIEL BRYAN! AWESOME!

PRO: CHRISTIAN, ROOKIE: HEATH SLATER

PRO: CM PUNK, ROOKIE: DARREN YOUNG

PRO: R-TRUTH, ROOKIE: DAVID OTUNGA

Christian comes out with a shopping cart of weapons, and he gets on the mic. He says it's been a year since he came back on ECW. He says a lot of people thought of it as a demotion for him, but he never thought of it like that. He says ECW is his home and opened a lot of doors for him that might not have been open otherwise. It let him make a great friend in Tommy Dreamer, to mentor guys like Yoshi Tatsu, and he got to do it as ECW Champion, and the longest reigning champion in the WWE in a long time. He says for every young guy in the back trying to find their way and for every ECW Original who wanted to make these letters mean something, he's going to fight his heart out tonight and will be proud to be the last ECW Champion.

Match #2: Christian [c] vs. Ezekiel Jackson w/ William Regal [ECW Championship - Extreme Rules]
Great match, but not as good as the Rumble. Great Zeke power stuff and Christian bumping and shit. A nice amount of overbooking that isn't overboard. The weapon use was great. Ryder and Rosa did a run in as promised but Christian threw Ryder out. TIFFANY RUNS OUT AND TACKLES ROSA AND ORDERS THEM TO THE BACK! FUCK YEAH! They have a lot of good teases with a table. Regal causes a distraction and ZEKE HITS THE URANAGE THROUGH THE TABLE TO WIN THE TITLE!
***

Zeke winning the belt is cool and all if ECW was continuing, but after all Christian did in the last year, he really deserved to be the last ECW Champion. Oh well.

ECW on SciFi was fucking awesome. One of my favorite things ever in WWE. Has some issues in the first year (the only truly BAD run of ECW on SciFi is the period from after D2D until February 2007), but by mid-2007, it's awesome, and it is pretty clearly the best brand in WWE in 2008 and 2009. Reliable for great TV matches almost every week and simple and well done booking. People who hate on ECW on SciFi are the worst kinds of people.

AWESOME SHIT ON ECW ON SCIFI:
-The fucking Vampire promos on the first episode with Joey Styles refusing to sell it

Evan Bourne/Primo vs. Carlito/Chavo Guerrero, Superstars (February 18th)
Bourne and Primo both looked awesome here. Chavo was his usual solid but totally unspectacular self and Carlito managed to not fuck anything up and let the good wrestlers do some work. Bourne was crisp and took huge bumps, but Primo took some even huger bumps than Bourne here. Bourne and Chavo rule it on the mat before that. Lawler randomly starts bringing actual good commentary about how Chavo is more used to Bourne's style than most people in the WWE, since he grew up in lucha libre. And then on Raw, he's awful again. Don't get it. Primo was a fine FIP and Bourne's hot tag was awesome. Bourne beats Chavo with Air Bourne.
***

Rey Mysterio vs. Mike Knox, Superstars (February 18th)

This is most likely the last great Knox match. This is one of the best pairings in WWE at this point, and they deliver. They have their longest match yet, with a real finish, so it's their best one together. Awesome big/little stuff. Rey absolutely DIES on Knox's stuff. Rey tries some lucha stuff, but then Knox kicks his fucking face off. This has the best Knox control seg of their matches. Knox throwing Rey off of a wheelbarrow and destroying him with the CROSSBODY OF MANLINESS was fantastic. Rey wins with the 619 and Penguin Splash.

TONIGHT: Edge/Batista

featured an opening in-ring promo by Chris Jericho, wearing a suit, in which he routinely faces the odds and comes out on tops - from beating the Rock and Steve Austin in the same night to beating Shawn Michaels in a ladder match and, last week, pinning the Undertaker; Jericho then said he would again beat the odds by winning the World Heavyweight Championship Sunday in the Elimination Chamber; moments later, Edge interrupted, said beating Taker was bigger than a hole in one, a no hitter, and knocking out Muhammad Ali but that Jericho only won the match after Edge's interference; Jericho then said he was going to win the Elimination Chamber and told Edge to worry about the winner of the Raw Elimination Chamber and to leave him alone; as Edge faced off with Jericho, the lights in the arena briefly dimmed; with Jericho distracted, Edge dropped him with the spear, clearing Jericho from the ring

Kane/Drew for the IC Title is announced for Elimination Chamber.

Match #1: Kane vs. Dolph Ziggler
Another good Dolph performance, but not on the level of their January matches, since Kane wasn't really giving a shit here. Dolph takes many great bumps and his offense is all super crisp, but then he loses to the Chokeslam.
**1/4

In the back, Rey cuts a promo about winning the title in the Chamber.

A video airs of Zeke's ECW Title win, and it is announced that he's coming to Smackdown!

Match #2: Cryme Tyme vs. The Dudebusters
This was a fine 4 minute tag. Nothing great and nothing awful. Dudebusters had a solid control segment, and then Cryme Tyme won.

Before the next match, Punk gets on the mic. He says he's humble, but he's clearly the best thing to ever happen to this place. And for those who doubt him...."I find your lack of faith disturbing..." AMAZING! PUNK IS GOD! He says they sacrifice defiance for acceptance and clarity of mind for cheap thrills. He says he will crush spirits and break people and fill the void with straightedge.

Match #3: CM Punk/Luke Gallows w/ Serena vs. John Morrison/R-Truth
Punk did a good job carrying it, since it's mostly Truth in on the other side. Gallows also looked generally acceptable. Morrison got in and it went to the floor. He accidentally kicked the post and was hurt, so the ref stopped it.
**1/4

The SES kept beating on R-Truth. Rey Mysterio ran out to save, but Punk and Gallows laid him out too.

RAW REBOUND!

included a backstage segment in which Teddy Long was shown laughing at what happened to Vickie Guerrero the previous week, with Vickie then appearing and making fun of Long being knocked oub recently by Shawn Michaels; Long said he planned to hold Michaels responsible; moments later, WWE Women's Champion Mickie James appeared and apologized to Vickie for what happened the previous week, with Vickie saying Mickie would be defending the title against Michelle McCool the following week and that Vickie would be the guest referee

Match #4: The Hart Dynasty/Natalya vs. Matt Hardy/The Great Khali/Maria
This was acceptable, but nothing special. Only 4 minutes, but less Khali than last week. The girls hot in at the end, and Nattie absolutely killed Maria with a Rolling Lariat to win.
*3/4

Elimination Chamber video.

In the back, Maria and Matt are about to kiss, but LayCool breaks it up. They talk about how they both lose all the time and can't hold relationships for long. Maria storms off and Matt calls them children and walks after her. They agree that they're awesome and great looking tonight, because they're FLAW-LESS!

Match #5: Edge vs. Batista
Coming off another injury, Edge....is even worse. Probably because he's a babyface and that requires him to actually sell. On top of that, this is one of the worst continual main event pairings in the history of Smackdown as a brand. They do stuff for a while. Edge gets the Spear, but then the lights go out, and they come on and Taker Chokeslams Edge. Batista walks out and the match is over.
*1/2

Taker leaves too, and as Edge gets up, Jericho runs in from the crowd and he hits the Codebreaker.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2010
February 21st, 2010
St. Louis, MO

Match #1: Sheamus [c] vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Ted DiBiase [WWE Championship - Elimination Chamber]

Issue with this one is that it's pretty dull. They keep most of them in there until everyone is in, and that's not a good idea for most of these guys together. The actual good pairings like Cena/Orton and Cena/H have been completely done to death by now, and Ted is the absolute worst. Sheamus and Kofi started and Kofi looking over his shoulder as he came out was AMAZING. Kofi's kicks looked really bad tonight and they did not mesh well. Kofi was in the RVD role of doing crazy shit in the Chamber, and was hit and miss at that. H is in next. They do a generally alright pairing without anything being special. Orton is next. You know what? Fuck it. Everyone gets in. Cody comes down and throws in a pipe to Orton, but Ted intercepts and hits Orton and Cena with it, and he covers Orton to eliminate him. Ted loses to Trouble in Paradise. Sheamus beats Kofi. H beats Sheamus with the Pedigree. Cena makes H tap to the STFU to win. This wasn't bad or anything, but hardly anything interesting happened for 30 minutes, so it's pretty much the most forgettable Chamber ever.
**1/4

Cena celebrates with the belt, and Vince McMahon comes out. He congratulates him and says he'll defend the WWE Title at Mania if he can beat this man, AND BATISTA COMES OUT! THE BELL RINGS!

Match #2: John Cena [c] vs. Batista [WWE Championship]
Batista wins with the Batista Bomb in under 30 seconds.
SPOTLIGHT. PLEASE.

Recap of Bret getting hit by a car last Monday.

Match #3: Drew McIntyre [c] vs. Kane [WWE Intercontinental Championship]
This sucked. Really slow pace not befitting them at all. Kane is back to absolutely not giving a shit at all and Drew looks the worst he has all year. It goes on seemingly forever before Drew goes to the eyes and wins with the Scot Drop.
*1/2

FIVE TIMES IN MY LEFT KNEE

Maryse and Gail come out for the title match. Vickie Guerrero comes out and says she doesn't like them talking bad about the Smackdown divas and turns it into a tag match with them vs. LayCool.

Match #4: LayCool vs. Maryse/Gail Kim
Good 4 minutes. It was mostly LayCool controling Gail, and they have some nasty offense. Maryse then refuses a tag and Michelle beats Gail with the Faith Breaker.
*3/4

Post-match, Maryse hits Gail with the French Kiss DDT.

WE ARE WILD AND YOUNG

In the back, Josh interviews The Miz about NXT. He says Daniel Bryan might be an internet favorite and king of the indies, but without him, he's a guy with no personality who's just as big a loser as the Rams. But if he listens to him, he'll go to the top. MVP comes over and says winning matters even more than personality, like when he beat Miz last week, so he feels he won a title shot. And he's taking it tonight.

William Regal comes out to kill time talking up NXT and how people can learn everything from him, and Edge comes out and gives him a Spear because fuck everything.

WRESTLEMANIA 26: 35 DAYS

Match #5: The Miz [c] vs. MVP [WWE US Championship]
Show and MOK are there. This is better than at the Rumble, but still not great. Neither man really brings it to a level they're capable of or have been capable of. Miz had some great pieces of offense in his control seg, but it started to drag as a result of it being all punch/kick kind of stuff with no focus. MVP's comeback was his best in a while. On the floor, SHOW THREW MOK THROUGH THE BARRICADE! FUCK YEAH! Show snuck in the KO Punch and Miz wins.
**1/2

Cole is mad about how Miz retained and yells that he hopes Daniel Bryan asks him to justify winning like that. SO WEIRD.

Punk comes out second to last for the Chamber, and says he's not locked in their with them, THEY'RE LOCKED IN HERE WITH HIM! FUCK YEAH RORSCHACH! R-Truth cuts him off by coming out last.

Match #6: The Undertaker [c] vs. CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho vs. John Morrison vs. R-Truth [World Heavyweight Championship - Elimination Chamber
Punk and Truth start and it is good, once again led by Punk. Offense looks great, bumps well, etc. He beats R-Truth with the GTS with 90 seconds left, so he gets back on the mic. He says The Undertaker better hope he's not next, because he'll make him tap out again and brags about having beaten everyone in this match. PUT YOUR HAND ON THE SCREEN AND FEEL CM PUNK FLOW THROUGH YOU! Rey is in next, and we got about 5 minutes of awesome Punk/Rey spots. Really incredible chemistry between them. They teased the finish of their 2/12 match but Punk kicked out now. Punk doing the Joe/Punk spot onto Rey into the walls after originally getting absolutely killed by it during the invention of the spot was a nice super subtle deal. Rey took some killer bumps. He then hit a Rana to Punk off the top TO THE STEEL FLOOR SON OF A BITCH! Punk rolls in and Rey hits the Penguin Splash to eliminate him. I have more of an issue with getting rid of Punk so soon as opposed to Rey beating him again, as he could have done a ton more here. Jericho is in next and he and Rey clearly don't do what they're capable of. Morrison is in next. He looks really bad in terms of his strikes and bumps. Rey really carries the run until Taker gets in. Right before, Morrison eliminates Rey with Starship Pain. Taker comes in and cleans house in great form. When it starts to get more even and the other two get in offense, it is not very good in comparison. Taker Chokeslams Morrison off the top to the floor and pins him in the ring to eliminate him. The final 5-6 minute Taker/Jericho run is another example of how it's a shame they didn't get to wrestle regularly until their were both past their primes. BUT BAH GAWD, SOMEONE COMES OUT FROM THE CHAMBER'S FLOOR AND PUSHES A PANEL AWAY! IT'S SHAWN MICHAELS AND HE HITS SWEET CHIN MUSIC! JERICHO COVERS TO WIN THE TITLE!

WWE Raw
February 22nd, 2010
Indianapolis, IN

NEW World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho came out and he got on the mic. He said he swore he would never return to Raw, but as the champion now, he's changed his mind, and he's going to WrestleMania. AND EDGE COMES FROM THE CROWD AND SPEARS JERICHO! Edge gets on the mic and says Jericho is going to WrestleMania AGAINST HIM! BAH GAWD EDGE IS CHALLENGING JERICHO!

John Cena comes out as Cole and Lawler talk about what just happened and the ring is cleared. He said it looks like he got screwed by Vince too. He says he was robbed last night, and he knows he's due a rematch and he wants it right now. Vince McMahon comes out on the stage and says Bret is at home humiliated right now and after Batista helped him, he gave him a title shot any time and any place that he wanted, and that was their deal. He says it wasn't personal with Cena, it was just business, and Batista is the one who chose Elimination Chamber. He says Batista won't be defending the WWE Title until WrestleMania, and Cena isn't the only one due a rematch, so is Sheamus. He says Cena will have a match tonight, and if he wins, he gets Batista at Mania. If he loses, then Sheamus does. Cena says that's fine and asks who his opponent is, and Vince says it's Batista!

Match #1: Maryse vs. Gail Kim [WWE Divas Championship - Finals]
About 2 minutes and Maryse wins the belt with the French Kiss DDT.
3/4*

included a backstage segment with Jewel, Ty Murray, Kelly Kelly, Eve, Brie & Nikki Bella in which Jillian Hall and Alicia Fox interrupted, with Hall singing "You Were Meant for Me" until Jewel had her stop; the two exchanged words, with Hall threatening to send Jewel to move back into her car until Jewel slapped her across the face

In the back, Orton talks to Cody. Cody says he threw that pipe for Orton, not so Ted could turn on him. Orton says he knows what Cody is trying to do, and it's okay. He says it's his fault for teaching them too well, but he hasn't been the leader he should be. He's been a bully and that's why he asked for this six man, because they need to be on the same page. Orton says to tell Ted that he's sorry. Ted then comes in after Orton leaves and asks how it went. Cody says it went almost too well, and Ted asks if he's still with his plan, and Cody says absolutely. So basically it's just three horrible human beings trying to lie to each other long enough to get what they want. Oddly intriguing now that I'm not expecting anyone to be a babyface.

Match #2: Randy Orton/Priceless vs. Kofi Kingston/Evan Bourne/Yoshi Tatsu
This is pretty great for the 6 or so minutes it gets. Bourne and Yoshi are awesome and crisp with all their stuff and the heels look fine enough, especially Cody, who worked most of this. This is more about the story at the end than anything else though. Cody and Ted keep to themselves mostly and in an AMAZING minor character detail but a great victory for continuity, Orton can feel it coming after how Evolution turned on him, and he strikes first. Cody tags in, AND ORTON HITS HIM WITH THE ROPE DDT! TED YELLS AT ORTON ON THE FLOOR AND ORTON HITS THE RKO! FUCK YEAH! Orton's psycho movements here actually work, as there's this odd hint of regret to his sociopathic glare that usually comes after shit like this. Logically, it seemed like a response to his proteges setting up to turn on him rather than him instigating it. Weirdly on rewatch, Orton DOES come out looking like the face, at least more than the others. Bourne then hits Cody with Air Bourne to win.
**3/4

Props to WWE for the continuity in the character of Randy Orton from 2003 to 2010

The INCREDIBLE Taker/Shawn hype video to "Running Up That Hill" by Placebo airs. Really feels like the best music video of the era, and maybe top 10 all time for WWE videos. Not on the level of "My Way" for Austin/Rock, but off the top of my head, it's the best one since either "Always" for the first Chamber or "Crack Addict" for Austin/Rock III: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GizW-NKxA2E

Shawn Michaels comes out to the ring and gets on the mic. He says he did what he had to do and what he needed to do. It might not be popular, but he's willing to live with it. He says he gets that for every action, there must be a reaction, and he's not just hoping for a reaction, he's counting on it. The gong hits, and The Undertaker comes down with weird yellow shit on his face. Taker says he finally has his attention. Shawn says last year, he wrestled a perfect match -- a nearly perfect match. He made ONE mistake and it cost him everything, and he cannot live with that, and Taker should know that. He begged him for a rematch, but he refused and ignored him, so he had no other choice. He says to face him at WrestleMania for his revenge, AND TAKER ACCEPTS....ON ONE CONDITION! SHAWN HAS TO PUT HIS CAREER ON THE LINE! Shawn says if he can't beat him, he has no career, and he accepts.

Match #3: Christian vs. Carlito [MITB Qualifying Match]
Christian is out of place on Raw where he can't have long matches. He does enough fine stuff for 3 minutes, but Carlito drags it down. Christian wins with the Killswitch.
*3/4

WRESTLEMANIA 26: 34 DAYS

Diva Bull Riding. Jerking off in the gym. Show and Miz then come out and complain, so Show tries to ride it. He fails amazingly AND FUCKING PUNCHES THE BULL! AMAZING! MONGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! They then book Miz/Show vs. MVP/Mark.

Match #4: The Big Show/The Miz [c] vs. MVP/Mark Henry [WWE Unified Tag Team Championship]
Only like 2 and a half minutes and not much of note. MOK hit Miz with the World's Strongest Slam, but he wasn't legal, so Show hit the KO Punch on MOK to win.
*1/2

2010 HOF: WENDI RICHTER

In the back, Vince says he's considering fighting Bret at WrestleMania, but he had nothing to do with the injury last week. He says Bret deserves to get a proper farewell, so he's invited to Raw next week.

NEXT WEEK: ORTON VS. TED

Match #5: Batista vs. John Cena
They lock up and within 20 seconds, BATISTA KICKS CENA IN THE DICK! CENA WINS BY DQ!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

It is now Batista/Cena for the WWE Title at Mania.

Batista hits an awesome running kick to the face as Cena gets up and beats on him. He procedes to deliver this amazingly brutal beating on Cena and keeps coming back to do more when Cena gets up and then he hits Cena with a chair on the floor until he stops moving and then leaves.

WE ARE WILD AND YOUNG

All the rookies are in the back, and Miz summons Bryan to him. He hypes up him as an internet darling and star of the minor leagues, but says he needs more than that and tells him to expect the unexpected and tells him to go to the ring now and introduces himself with personality and charisma. Danielson has no issue with that, and Miz says he can even go out to his music. Bryan says he'd rather not, but Miz says he will and tells him to have a good catchphrase. Miz waits until he leaves and says if Bryan doesn't show personality, he'll slap some into him, and then he smiles like a retard for like 10 seconds until the camera cuts away.

Daniel Bryan comes out and gets on the mic. He thanks everyone for the response considering that his Pro is The Miz. They boo, and he says he's sorry to all his fans and he wishes his pro was Regal, but you get what you get. He says Miz wants him to introduce himself. He's Daniel Bryan, and he's worked everywhere for 10 years, and finally he has an opportunity in the WWE. The Miz cuts him off and says he can tell he has his work cut out for him. Danielson says he better watch what he says, or he'll make him submit right now. Miz drills him on having no personality and asks how he'll ever be a star without one. Danielson says he was going to go on reality TV, get a fauxhawk, and be a huge idiot BUT OH WAIT! YOU ALREADY DID THAT! Miz demands a catchphrase and Daniel says if they had a match, he has two options, he taps or he snaps. AW SHIT! The crowd cheers, so Miz slaps him and says he failed and Miz leaves as Daniel laughs.

In the back, Striker interviews Bryan, and he says he'll slap Miz back AND HE SAYS HE SLAPS HARDER! FUCK YEAH DANIELSON! FEUD OF THE YEAR! Striker tells him that he needs respect to make it in the WWE, and he hasn't been here 10 minutes. Danielson says he has twice the ring time Miz does, but Striker says not in the WWE. He also says you need confidence like Daniel has to make in the WWE. That's pretty conflicting, Striker.

Videos air on the backgrounds of Tarver and Slater. ONE MAN ROCK BAND! Slater is immediately the most hateable person on this show.

Match #1: Christian/Heath Slater vs. Carlito/Michael Tarver
This was a good 4 minutes. Tarver and Slater didn't get to show a lot, but what they did looked solid enough. Christian's hot tag ruled. Carlito beats Tarver with the Killswitch.
**

In the back, Darren Young talks to the Straight Edge Society and Punk glares at him.

Videos air on Otunga and Darren Young.

Match #2: David Otunga vs. Darren Young
The SES and R-Truth are there. This is under a minute and Otunga wins with a shitty Spinebuster. He looked awful.
1/4*

The highlight of that was an inset promo from Punk saying he doesn't know why he's here or why he's on this show. He says he already has proteges and if Young wants to learn from him, he can accept straightedge into his life.

RAW REBOUND!

Before the main event, Jericho makes Wade introduce him. He goes on a big speech, but Jericho says to just introduce him. Wade says to have it his way and keeps it simple.

Match #3: Daniel Bryan vs. Chris Jericho
The Miz is ringside, as is Wade Barrett. Great little character background type thing early on as Danielson tries to start with a handshake out of a force of habit. Jericho actually really brings it here, but this is all Danielson's match to shine in. Awesomely crisp offense, big bumps, etc. It is also the beginning of heel Cole, starting to shit on Daniel and arguing with Josh. Daniel takes the INSANE Benoit bump off a missed Tope Suicida as Jericho sends him back-first into the announce table. Danielson gets a heel hook that has Jericho reeling, but he gets a flash Codebreaker and Jericho puts on the Liontamer to win.
**3/4

Miz beats down Daniel post-match and yells at him for disrespecting and embarrassing him.

Chris Jericho comes out and he gets on the mic. He says Monday was supposed to be his celebration, but Edge ruined it. That is a cue and Edge comes out to the ring. He congratulates Chris on his win in the Chamber, and Jericho says of course he did because he's the best in the world at what he does. Edge says he's the best in the best in the world at getting Speared. He then starts with the hideous SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR SPEAR stuff. The crowd plays along and chants SPEAR and Jericho is freaked out. Edge says he sees doubt in Jericho and he's in Jericho's head, but Jericho denies it and says Edge will never Spear him again. He cheap shots Edge and they fight, but Edge hits the Spear again.

I MADE IT!

Match #1: Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison vs. R-Truth w/ David Otunga [MITB Qualifying Match]
Good performance from Ziggler. The faces worked together, leading to great Ziggler bumps. The stuff when he wasn't in was not as good. Truth had a good dive. Morrison hits Truth with Starship Pain, but Ziggler throws Morrison to the floor and steals the pin for the win.
**3/4

FIVE TIMES IN MY LEFT KNEE

Epic Shawn/Taker vid again.

Match #2: Mickie James [c] vs. Michelle McCool w/ Layla [WWE Women's Championship - Special Referee: Vickie Guerrero
This is all about Vickie being a cunt and this not being fair, as opposed to a good match. Vickie slaps Mickie during a cover, and Michelle hits the Yakuza Kick to regain the belt.
*

Match #3: Drew McIntyre vs. Kane [MITB Qualifying Match]

More bearable than at the PPV. Some bright spots, but still not great or anything. Kane wins with the Chokeslam.
*3/4

Drew throws a fit post-match.

included an in-ring promo by WWE US Champion & WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Mike Mizanin in which he said he and the Big Show needed a match for WrestleMania and sent a message to Teddy Long to find some opponents; moments later, Long appeared and said if Show was there, he would make a tag team title match for later in the show; Long then said Miz would see singles action and made a match between Miz and Edge for later in the show

Match #4: CM Punk w/ SES vs. Shelton Benjamin [MITB Qualifying Match]
Unfortunate that this was only 5 minutes, as it was quite good. Punk's stuff all looked awesome during his control seg and then bumped around super well. Shelton was solid but not great or anything. Gallows got on the apron, but Rey Mysterio ran out to pull him down. Punk was distracted and Shelton hits Paydirt to win.
**1/2

RAW REBOUND!

Match #5: Edge vs. The Miz
This was not good. This is probably because Edge is not a good wrestler and Miz often wrestles to the level of his opponent and can be dragged down or up by them. They don't have much of a finishing run to save it, and this feels like very house show level work. Edge wins with the Spear.

Shawn comes out to open the show. He says he's seen the way people in the back are looking at him and doubting him, thinking he's crazy for facing The Undertaker with his career on the line against The Streak. He challenges any one of his doubters to come out and face him right now, and Triple H comes out! He said he knows Shawn can beat Undertaker tonight and nobody in the back is on Shawn's level. LOL. He says they might not tag up for a while, but they weren't done and he got them a title rematch tonight, and 28 days from now, when it's the day after WrestleMania and Shawn still has his career and the Streak is over, he wants to throw him a party.

In the back, Cheech and Chong hung out with the Bellas. Cheech left with them, and Hornswoggle walked in with a box of Lucky Charms with drug like effects.

Match #1: Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase
They get 6-7 minutes or so, and it is not much. They had some good basic stuff, but nothing special. Lawler tries to frame the story as Priceless planning to oust Orton because they thought they knew more, but that is hardly the story. They got fed up with Orton's insane behavior after tolerating it for like a year and a half, but Orton saw it coming and struck first. Lawler is now trying to claim Orton's been a good guy to them all along. Bullshit. Cody comes out for the DQ.
**1/4

Orton runs them off.

In the back, Bret arrives on a crutch.

included a backstage segment with Chong and Eve, during which Cheech walked in and reminded Chong not to eat sugary cereal because he gets on a sugar high; Cheech then asked why Chong was running his hair through William Regal's hair, with "Eve" then revealed to be Regal; Chong then confused Chris Masters with Kelly Kelly, with Kelly's voice being heard as Masters mouthed "Stop looking at my chest;" moments later, Cheech joined Chong in eating more of the cereal

RAW REBOUND!

Match #2: Jack Swagger vs. Santino Marella [MITB Qualifying Match]
This is under a minute and Swagger wins.
1/2*

In the back, Batista WALKS~ with security and tells them to stay out of his spotlight. DAT LEATHER VEST.

John Cena comes out to the ring and calls out Batista. The security comes out, and Batista then comes out on the stage. He says they're here to protect Cena. He doesn't have a problem with coming down and hurting him again, but they won't let him, so Cena can thank him any time. Cena says he can thank him in the ring, or he can stand there like a pansy. Batista says he amuses him ha ha ha ha. Batista says he did what he did because he wants to face him at WrestleMania, and everyone's happy. They did start out in the WWE together, and their rise to the top was practically identical, even though he's proud to say they couldn't be any more different. They're the two biggest stars since the Attitude Era, but for some insane reason, the company labeled Cena as The Man. The name and face of the WWE. Somehow, the torch got passed from Austin to Cena. Hey, I'm all for revisionist history when it comes to that weird 2002-2005 period where Triple H was the top guy, but come on. HE SHOULD BE THE NAME AND FACE OF THE WWE, HE'S THE BIGGEST STAR IN THIS COMPANY. He says he did it last week to beat the hell out of Cena at WrestleMania to prove that he's that much better than him, and secondly, because he just can't stand him. Cena says the reason things worked out different is because he worked his butt off and got better and improved and earned everything he had, but since day one, Batista expected to be given everything and he's selfish. Batista agrees and says he doesn't care about them and he's here to get money and to win titles.

"SO YOU KEEP ON KISSING BABIES AND HUGGING FAT GIRLS, AND I'LL BE IN A GYM SOMEWHERE TRAINING TO BEAT THE HELL OUT OF YOU!"

He says it's a fact that whenever they're in the ring together, bad things happen to Cena. He broke his neck, and what Cena thinks is irrelevant, because they both know that he can't beat Batista. AMAZING segment.

Match #3: MVP vs. Zack Ryder [MITB Qualifying Match]
MVP wins in 30 seconds. :(

HOF 2010: MAD DOG VACHON!

Vince McMahon comes out and he introduces Bret Hart. He comes out on the crutch and gets in. Bret says if Vince was serious about this, he better get the hell out of the ring. Vince admits he brought him here for other reasons too, and brings up the challenge to a match at WrestleMania. Bret says he's wanted to fight Vince for the last 13 years. Vince then goads him and brags about screwing him, sent him packing to DUBYA SEE DUBYA, forcing his family out of the WWE, he lied to him about Stu being in the HOF, he spat in his face, etc. Vince says to do it for his fans and Bret accepts! Vince then says next week, he's going to face Bret's new best friend, John Cena!

NEXT WEEK: ORTON VS. PRICELESS

Match #5: The Big Show/The Miz [c] vs. D-Generation X [WWE Unified Tag Team Championship]
They keep it at 4 minutes so it's...not good. But it isn't outright soulcrushingly horrible or anything like it could have been with 10+, and just a short nothing match to further an angle. Taker's face shows up on the tron and Shawn is distracted and Miz schoolboys him to win.
*3/4

Shawn storms off and Sheamus comes from the crowd to attack H on the floor, and he hits the Brogue Kick to end the show.

In the back, Striker says pros cannot vote for or against their own rookies in the voting.

Match #1: Darren Young vs. David Otunga
The SES and Truth are there again. This time, they get like 6 minutes, which is horrible. Otunga is absolutely awful. Young isn't bad or anything, but he gets dragged down. Young is randomly the one who controls this, leading to HORRIBLE Otunga bumping and selling. Punk trips up Otunga and Young wins with the Hurts Donut.
3/4*

Otunga shoves Truth post-match and the SES just walks off without Young.

A video airs on Daniel Bryan.

In the back, Miz talks down to Bryan about how he is nothing in the WWE, and his next lesson is that in the WWE, you actually have to fight with injuries. FUCK YOU, MIZ. YOU COMPETE WITH A DETACHED RETINA OR A SEPARATED SHOULDER FOR AN HOUR. EAT SHIT.

In the back, Truth and Otunga have the worst pull-apart ever.

A video airs on MWAY BARRUH.

Match #2: Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett
Jericho does commentary and is fantastic. This is only 2 minutes, but Danielson carries it with his selling. Constant grabbing of the ribs during offense. Wade wins with the lucha body slam, now named the Wasteland. Not as good as when Hero did it, but better than when most people do it.
*3/4

Post-match, Jericho puts the Liontamer on Daniel.

RAW REBOUND!

In the back, Christian and Slater are in the gym. Christian tells Slater not to get overconfident, otherwise he might end up like Otunga and get too cocky.

Videos aired on Sheffield and Gabriel. YEP YEP YEP WUT IT DO

Match #3: William Regal/Skip Sheffield vs. Matt Hardy/Justin Gabriel
Regal was fantastic here. Skip and Gabriel showed some good stuff too. Gabriel's spots were generally crisp and Skip had some good strikes. Matt sucked, but he wasn't in that much. Matt hits Regal with the Twist of Fate, and then Gabriel beats Regal with the 450 Splash.
**

In the back, Carlito spat apple in Slater's face to end the show.

William Regal vs. Evan Bourne, Superstars (March 4th)
Only 5 minutes, but soooooooooo fucking great for 5 minutes. Awesome strikes by both men, great Regal selling, and then Bourne takes some completely ridiculous bumps. Bourne makes a really hot comeback including some absolutely killer knees on Regal. Regal bumps well for some of the lucha stuff, and then Bourne wins with the Air Bourne. There's a fancam of these two getting 10 minutes from 2011 that I can't wait to get to.

TONIGHT: Edge vs. Big Show

featured an opening in-ring promo by Edge in which he said he was concerned about World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and that Jericho kept saying the same lines week after week only to get speared by Edge, prompting the fans to chant "Spear" in response; moments later, WWE Unified Tag Team Champion the Big Show interrupted, said he and Mike Mizanin would find out later in the show who they would defend against at WrestleMania, and said Edge's luck would run out later in the show when Show faces him in the ring; Show then said he eats pieces of crap like Edge for breakfast, with Edge then clarifying that Show eats pieces of crap for breakfast and threatening to spear him; moments later, Show charged at Edge only to fall over the top rope to the floor

In the back, Drew is with T'Lo. Teddy says that per orders of Vince McMahon, Drew did not lose last week and is still undefeated and he has another shot at MITB with a qualifying match vs. Matt Hardy. Teddy then refuses a handshake. What a dick.

Match #1: Drew McIntyre vs. Matt Hardy [MITB Qualifying Match]
Matt sucked again and dragged this down. Drew looked good though. Matt wins with a roll up.
*3/4

Drew again throws a fit and swears that he'll be at WrestleMania.

In the back, Truth and Morrison talk about....something. I don't know.

Match #2: Dolph Ziggler vs. Shelton Benjamin
Only 4 minutes, which is a real shame. Still though, pretty great. Ziggler again looks fantastic at everything, but Shelton wins with Paydirt.
**1/4

Match #3: Ezekiel Jackson vs. Jimmy Wang Yang

Good 75 second squash for Zeke. Yang takes great bumps. Uranage ends it.
*1/2

In the back, Rey is with his daughter and says to stay here while he goes to work. Tiffany then looks after Rey's daughter.

Punk and the SES come out for the match, and Punk gets on the mic. He says Rey's popularity is because kids look up to him because their parents are horrible role models themselves. He says Punk is no role model or superhero, but a bad parent himself for bringing his daughter here, and he's responsible for Punk not winning MITB for a third time, as he will only take cheap shots and not fight him like a man. Punk tells Gallows that he's fighting not just for himself and for him, but for the entire Straight Edge Society.

Match #3: Rey Mysterio vs. Luke Gallows w/ SES
Awesome match. Not just Rey either, as Gallows has a fantastic showing as a power heel. Rey's bumping was obviously awesome and the like. Some really vicious knees to the head on offense and surprisingly good lucha bumps for Rey's stuff. It's hard for a big guy to do logical lucha bumps without killing the realism of it. A lot of times it looks ridiculous, so when it looks good, its impressive. He's not Claudio or Hero or anything when he does it, but still. Great hope spot cutoffs by Luke. Rey had enough good body language type selling to stay on the side of actual good selling, since he's always on the border there. Rey had a nice looking Front Guillotine that he should really use more. Lame finish though. Gallows goes for a Powerbomb, but Rey falls down on his chest and hooks a leg to win.
***

Rey runs away from the SES post-match.

RAW REBOUND!

In the back, Jericho talks to Show and tries to get him to kill Edge tonight, but Show says he knows what he's doing and Jericho is always all about himself and is just trying to use him. He says they're not even partners anymore, and he's doing it because he wants to.

Match #4: John Morrison/R-Truth vs. Cryme Tyme vs. The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya [#1 Contender's Match]
Good 6 minutes. All the teams looked alright and some good spots happened. Truth beats Kidd with the Lie Detector.
**

In the back, LayCool gives Vickie a matching SIMPLY FLAWLESS top.

Match #5: Edge vs. The Big Show
Better than last week, because this was shorter at only 5 minutes and Big Show is better than The Miz. Show's offense looked awesome and carried this. Edge's offense sucked though. Horribly, Edge wins clean with a bad looking Spear that didn't look like it should even move Big Show.
**

Jericho runs out to try and attack, but Edge spears him and leads the fans in chanting SPEAR.

The Undertaker comes out and gets on the mic. He says Shawn Michaels has a dark cloud hanging over him and him trying to shake it would ultimately cost him his career at WrestleMania and the cloud would hang over his career for the rest of his life. He says Shawn's career would rest in peace, and Shawn Michaels comes out to interrupt. He says he cost The Undertaker the title because he had to do it, and The Undertaker distracted him last week out of fear, and he wanted his career on the line to intimidate him. He says nobody lives a perfect life and nothing lasts forever. Even cold November rain. And he's going to prove it by ending The Streak. Shawn challenged Taker to make it No DQ and No Count Out so this ends correctly. Taker accepts and says Shawn might be the best to ever enter the ring, but he would open the gates of Hell to make sure shawn's career ends at WrestleMania. Shawn says the dark cloud will hang over Undertaker's head forever after he ends The Streak.

Match #1: Eve/Kelly Kelly/Gail Kim vs. Maryse/Alicia Fox/Katie Lea
3 minutes of nothing. Eve makes Maryse tap to a hideous armbar.
3/4*

included a backstage segment with Criss Angel, Hornswoggle, Brie & Nikki Bella with Angel then taking a thread from one of the Bella's tops and running it up his throat and out of his eye; Jillian Hall then walked in and said she should be Angel's assistant later in the show, then singing Aerosmith's "Angel" until Angel took her voice away

Miz and Show come out to the ring and say Morrison and Truth get a title shot at Mania and are the worst team to ever compete at Mania, surpassing The Allied Powers and The Bushwhackers. He says they have the least credibility too.

Match #2: The Big Show/The Miz vs. John Morrison/R-Truth
This is 30 seconds before the faces lay out Show and Miz with dives and double teams on the floor and the match just sort of ends.
1/4*

Truth gets on the mic and asks if they have no credibility now.

WRESTLEMANIA 26: 20 DAYS! I MADE IT!

Recap of the Cena/Batista stuff.

In the back, Josh interviews Cena. He says what Batista says is correct, he hasn't been able to beat him and he's left him for dead a number of times. And the only thing he can do is go out there and beat him. Josh asks if he thinks Batista will be involved in his match vs. Vicne tonight, and Cena says he's counting on it.

Clips air of the Legacy stuff.

Match #3: Randy Orton vs. Priceless
This was enjoyable. They work the idea of the handicap well, with Orton handling them one on one, but not at the same time. Good basic heel stuff from Ted and Cody as usual, although Cody has clearly surpassed Ted. Cody distracts Orton on the apron and Ted then hits Dream Street to win. Cole and Lawler completely missing the point of the issue here is again infuriating.
**1/4

Cody hits Orton with the Cross Rhodes post-match, and they fucking Ortonpose over him. Amazing.

Posted Image

In the back, Josh asks Batista about what Cena said. He says he's just in Cena's head, but this is between Cena and Vince and he says he won't get involved and gives his word as WWE Champion. He tells Josh to tell Cena that he's rooting for him tonight, because he thinks Cena could use a confidence boost. Awesome.

featured an in-ring promo by Triple H regarding the assault he sustained the previous week from Sheamus; moments later, Sheamus interrupted and challenged Triple H to a match at WrestleMania; Triple H then praised Sheamus for doing what he's done in his first year with the WWE, then brought up his own first year in the WWE, his undefeated streak, and the fact he was crushed in his WrestleMania debut and had to fight his way back from obscurity; Triple H then said Sheamus would have to be sure that he wanted the chance, with the two men then brawling in and out of the ring; eventually the fight returned to the ring, with Triple H dropping Sheamus with the spinebuster and clearing him from ringsid

included a backstage segment with Angel and Santino Marella in which Angel crushed styrofoam cups, with one of the cups having a knife sticking upright inside it and Angel having to smash the three safe cups and avoid the fourth

Christian comes out to do commentary.

Match #4: Evan Bourne vs. William Regal [MITB Qualifying Match]
Really unfortunately, this is only 2 minutes. That being said, it's really awesome since these are two of the best in the company. Awesome strikes and bumping from both guys, and Bourne wins with Air Bourne.

WRESTLEMANIA RECALL: Goldberg vs. Lesnar, WrestleMania XX

NEXT WEEK: AUSTIN GUEST HOSTS! FUCK YEAH!

Recap of the Vince/Bret stuff.

NEXT WEEK: JERICHO/SHAWN AND CENA/SHOW AND TRIPLE H/ORTON IN WRESTLEMANIA REWIND MATCHES! BRET/VINCE CONTRACT SIGNING!

Vince and Cena come out for the match, but Vince says it's a No DQ gauntlet match and if Cena beats everyone, then he gets him. Except it's not really a gauntlet match, people just sort of come out at points.

Match #5: John Cena vs. Drew McIntyre/Vladimir Kozlov/Jack Swagger/Mark Henry/Batista/Vince McMahon [No DQ]
I put them there in order of entry. Cena keeps kicking out after attacks, leading to the next guy coming out. Mark is hesitant to beat on his "friend", but Vince makes him. Cena's selling during this is pretty good. Batista is in last and destroys Cena again. MOK tries to save, but Batista lays him out. Kofi tries to save, but Batista gets him too. Batista hits the Batista Bomb, and Vince covers Cena to win.
**1/4

Batista stands over Cena with the spotlight on to end the show.

Before the first match, Miz gets on the mic and says Bryan is 0-2 and hasn't proven anything to the Pros or the fans. He says if they lose this tag match, he'll make sure Bryan never becomes a WWE Superstar and that he gets kicked off this show.

Match #1: The Miz/Daniel Bryan vs. R-Truth/David Otunga
Bryan is clearly the best guy in this and raises the games of Truth and Otunga. Although Otunga is still absolutely horrible and tries running the ropes diagonally. Daniel isn't enough to really make this great though. Truth is isolated. Danielson has an awesome run when he gets in, and has it won with the heel hook, but Miz tags himself in. They argued and Truth kicked Miz from the apron and Otunga hit his awful Spinebuster to beat Miz.
**1/2

Miz yells at Bryan on the floor and says he'll make sure he's kicked off this show. Bryan goes to hit him, but Miz flinches and backs off, embarrassed, and Bryan says it's coming.

Clips air of Heath Slater saying last week was not cool and he can't wait to get Carlito tonight.

In the back, Miz confronts Daniel again. He says every tag team Miz has been in has been carried by the other guy and Miz yells that he's the pro and he's the talent of every team he's been in and Bryan asks why he's the one who lost then.

In the back, Matt and Gabriel suck each other's dicks. Jericho and MWAY walk in. Jericho says Gabriel did good, but his protege will beat him this week.

Match #2: Carlito vs. Heath Slater
They had Slater working face again, which is clearly not a good fit. Carlito was also dogging it as usual. So this wasn't good. Slater wins with a roll up.
*1/2

A video airs on Darren Young.

In the back, Punk and the SES tells Young that he can lead him to water, but he can't make him drink and with straight edge, he can be a winner.

RAW REBOUND!

Match #3: Justin Gabriel vs. Wade Barrett
This is only 3 minutes, but generally acceptable. Neither is a complete wrestler, so keeping it short is a good idea, as they don't have enough time to get lost trying to fill time (see: Barrett/Orton series). Gabriel wins with the 450 Splash.
*3/4

Jericho attacks Matt on the floor and hits Gabriel with the Codebreaker before raising Wade's hand.

TONIGHT: The Highlight Reel with Edge as a guest

Rey Mysterio comes out with his family to open the show. He says as WWE Superstars, they sometimes miss out on important days, but it's his daughter Aliyah's 9th birthday. Rey's son is taller than him, btw. He leads the crowd in singing "Happy Birthday" to her, but the Straight Edge Society interrupts to come to the ring and Punk finishes the song in his amazingly creepy way. He says Rey looks scared, but he's not here to hurt him or his family. He's glad they're all here so he can challenge Rey to a match at WrestleMania. And one tonight as well, right now. He says his family has never seen Rey's neck get stomped in or seen him get beaten up. Rey says this isn't the time. Punk says it's okay if his kids don't want to look as he makes Rey cry. Punk then says Rey's wife and he will soon share the worst of times. Punk asks why Rey doesn't want to fight him, and if he's afraid that they'll see him get hurt. He calls Rey a coward, and now his daughter knows it too, and gets on his knees so he's on his level and dares him to fight him now. He slaps Rey and stands up again, but Rey refuses. He helps his wife and kids get out of the ring, and they walk to the back. Punk finishes singing to Aliyah and Rey is super pissed, but he leaves. AMAZING segment.

Match #1: The Miz vs. R-Truth
Their rookies are both there. This is not much for 4 minutes. They're both fairly hit and miss as usual, but it was generally alright. Miz gets a pin with his feet on the ropes, BUT BRYAN PUSHES HIS FEET OFF THE ROPES! FUCK YEAH! Truth then beats Miz with the Lie Detector.
**

Awesome "Ain't No Grave" promo for Taker/Shawn.

In the back, Drew talks to T'Lo and says he's still undefeated by order of Vince McMahon and he has another MITB Qualifying Match tonight against a handpicked opponent. T'Lo says he might be on probation, but he still runs this show, but he also puts Drew's title on the line tonight!

TONIGHT: GALLOWS VS. KANE

Match #2: Drew McIntyre [c] vs. Aaron Bolo [WWE Intercontinental Championship - MITB Qualifying Match]
Drew wins in 30 seconds with the Future Shock DDT. Awesome idea.
1/2*

Post-match, he makes Striker announce that he is going to WrestleMania.

Match #3: The Big Show vs. John Morrison
Show ruled here. Not the best Show vs. high flier match, since Morrison is not good. Show's offense all looked killer though, and this had a great finish. Show intercepted the Flying Chuck with the KO Punch to the face in mid-air to win.
**1/2

In the back, T'Lo welcomes Tiffany to Smackdown. He asks Vickie to say hello, and Vickie is a cunt. Tiffany says she's here as a Diva, not to take her job, so Vickie books her vs. Michelle McCool.

Match #4: Cryme Tyme vs. The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya
This is about a minute of nothing before the lights go out. The gong hits, and they come on and Taker is in the ring and he destroys all of them.
3/4*

RAW REBOUND!

Match #5: Tiffany vs. Michelle McCool w/ Layla & Vickie Guerrero
This is about a minute of nothing before Vickie attacks Tiffany on the floor.
1/2*

They all beat on her, until Beth Phoenix comes out and runs them off. She then raises Tiffany's hand.

Match #6: Kane vs. Luke Gallows w/ SES
Perfectly solid match for 5 minutes. Nothing special, but some good power stuff. Kane gets going, but Punk gets in and attacks him for the DQ.
**1/4

Punk keeps it up, and he lays out Kane with the GTS! Rey Mysterio now runs out and has a ton of anger and fire as he attacks Punk. They fight on the floor and Rey gets pulled off by referees and agents. This feud is awesome so far.

It is time for the Highlight Reel, and the Jeritron 9000 has finally been repaired. Edge comes out before he can say anything and the fucking SPEAR chants begin and Edge encourages them. Jericho talked up Edge's big comeback at the Rumble and talked about Edge's long history with injuries and says Edge ruined their tag team by getting hurt. But then Edge always gets injured right on the cusp of greatness. His broken neck, the broken wrist during the comeback from that, torn biceps, leg injuries, a number of long breaks, etc. He says Edge missed two WrestleManias, including WrestleMania XIX in this very city, and Edge says Jericho wishes he missed the WrestleManias that he missed, since he lost to Shawn Michaels and Christian at them. Edge says he's always taken risks and doesn't regret anything, and he'll take more risks if he has to to beat him at WrestleMania. Jericho says Edge can't succeed on his own, and his best successes have been with other people helping him. With Christian, with Randy Orton, with Vickie Guerrero, and with him. He says Edge rushed through recovery to try and get him at WrestleMania, but it will cost him at WrestleMania and when he wins, he's going to cause Edge to miss another six months. Edge says he's going to beat him for the title with the SPEAR. Jericho cheap shots him and tries to throw him through the Jeritron, but Edge blocks it and hits the Edgacution! He goes for the Spear again, BUT JERICHO BLOCKS IT WITH THE TITLE BELT! Jericho then started yelling SPEAR at Edge as the show ended. Great seg.
