WWE NXT
April 13th, 2010
London, England

Striker brings everyone out to open the show. He says whoever wins this challenge gets their own entrance music and they each get 30 seconds to talk about things. Nobody makes a huge impression, except for Wade Barrett, who pretty much makes himself a star with the "Winds of Change" speech. He wins with this, but never actually gets his own theme.

RAW REBOUND!

In the back, the SES talks to Darren Young. Punk says what he did last week took guts, and he stood up for what he believes in. Luke's all like "YEAH ROOKIE!", so Punk glares at him. He makes Gallows vs. Young tonight and says if Young wins, his transgression will be forgiven, but if he loses, they're shaving his head tonight.

Match #1: Christian vs. Wade Barrett
Wade brought nothing to this besides some blandish punch/kick stuff and in a recurring theme with him in 2010 in singles matches with top talent, he looks out of his league. That being said, this was not the finest Christian performance of 2010. He basically just showed up to do his stuff and won with the Killswitch.
**

In the back, Miz yells at Bryan for being 0-7.

Match #2: William Regal vs. Daniel Bryan
THIS IS....90 seconds. Fuck this fucking show. God fucking damnit. Regal wins with the Knee Trembler.
*3/4

Miz beats on Bryan post-match.

Match #3: Darren Young vs. Luke Gallows w/ SES
Only 2 minutes, horribly. NXT has gotten horrible since the challenges started eating up over half the show. Still though, it was 2 minutes of epic Gallows offense before Young got a roll up to win.

WWE Smackdown
April 16th, 2010
London, England

featured an opening in-ring promo by Chris Jericho in which he argued that Randy Orton shouldn't be challenging for the World Heavyweight Title at Extreme Rules and that he himself deserved a title rematch but isn't getting one because Teddy Long can't do his job; Jericho then called for Long to turn in his resignation and said he should be able to face the winner of the Orton vs. Swagger match immediately after their bout; Edge interrupted and said Jericho should give up his rematch clause because he was in no condition to beat Orton or Swagger, while Edge said he knew he himself could; Long eventually appeared and said Jericho would get his rematch later in the show but it would be a triple threat match also involving Edge

Drew comes out for his match and says he hates the fans.

Match #1: Drew McIntyre vs. Kane
Fine 3 minutes. Drew tried to bail out, but Matt Hardy ran wobbled out and attacked him on the floor for the DQ.
*3/4

Kane is mad and Chokeslams them both.

Before his match, Dolph Ziggler gets on the mic and says Teddy told him he has to apologize for his actions last week, and insincerely apologizes.

Match #2: Dolph Ziggler vs. R-Truth
Really good 2 minutes. Dolph is amazing again and wins with the Sleeper.
*3/4

Match #3: Mickie James vs. Michelle McCool w/ Layla & Vickie Guerrero

They get 4-5 minutes, so this delivers. Michelle has some awesome strikes and they just generally mesh well together in actual matches. The physicality in Michelle's matches really makes them stand out from usual divas stuff, example being ringpost bumps from the apron in this. Vickie holds Mickie's leg near the ropes and Michelle hits the Yakuza Kick to win.
**

They beat on her, but Beth Phoenix runs out to save.

WWE DRAFT: APRIL 26TH!

In the back, Gallows and Darren Young argue and Gallows says he's going to shave Young's head himself. CM Punk and Serena come out of his locker room and Punk tells them to get along because they have a match.

The Miz comes out to do commentary on the next match.

Match #4: CM Punk/Luke Gallows/Darren Young w/ Serena vs. Rey Mysterio/The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya
They get 10 minutes, so this is great. Punk works the mat with Kidd for a while. Rey got in to do his spots against Punk and then the heels isolated Kidd. Young does nothing and Punk and Gallows have a great control seg by themselves. DH has a good tag in. Rey gets a 619 to Punk around the post behind the ref's back and DH beats Punk with a Running Powerslam.
***

Match #5: JTG vs. Caylen Croft w/ Trent Baretta

Acceptable 2 minutes. JTG wins with the Shout Out.
*3/4

Shad tries to attack JTG, but he runs him off.

RAW REBOUND!

Match #6: Jack Swagger [c] vs. Edge vs. Chris Jericho [World Heavyweight Championship]
Fine enough three way. Nothing great or amazing, but some nice spots. Edge hits Jericho with the Spear, but Swagger throws Edge away and steals the pin to win.
**1/4

Swagger then hits Edge with the Doctor Bomb and he leaves. Jericho gets up before Edge, and he attacks him. He puts his foot in between the steps and post and kicks away at the steps to reinjure the Achilles tendon until referees come out to make him leave.

WWE Raw
April 19th, 2010
East Rutherford, NJ

Most of the Raw roster is trapped in Europe due to a volcano, so they pulled scraps together.

Triple H comes out to talk about the volcano and says luckily, he won't have to fight Frank the sound guy for 2 hours. He brings up his match with Sheamus in 6 days, but the Straight Edge Society comes out with the haircutting equipment. He says thankfully for this show, the Smackdown roster actually made it away from a volcano. Unfortunately for him, the show is in New Jersey, which is worse than Europe and says he has two words for him, "JERSEY SUCKS!" Hi Biggie! He says he might be on Raw next week, and H says he also might be bald next week. He asks why Punk doesn't have to shave his head. Logical answer is that he did when he converted to sXe. Punk says once he breaks Rey, he'll fall in line, and so will the people. He says H could fall in line too and bring his influence with him. They attack and try to cut his hair, but Rey runs out to save.

Match #1: Drew McIntyre vs. Matt Hardy
Fine enough 3 minutes and Drew wins with the Future Shock.
*3/4

John Cena is via satellite in Belfast and apologizes for not being able to be there. Cole asks about the Last Man Standing match. Cena says he's ready and he'll swim if he has to.

Kozlov is in the ring and says he has been treated unfairly and he wants to talk to the guest hosts. He says this state is the most miserable place on earth and he cannot wait for the Nets to move. MACGRUBER! He and his costars come to the ring and say Paul Blartt: Mall Cop, Bon Jovi, Snooki, and the Situation are all from New Jersey, which is...yeah. I mean, hey fuck yeah Bon Jovi, but there has to be other better people. They book Punk/Gallows/Jericho vs. Rey/H/Edge tonight. He says he has a match with R-Truth, and he comes out. Macgruber brags about rigging the place with explosives AND HE ACCIDENTALLY FUCKING BLOWS UP R-TRUTH HOLY SHIT!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OMRT2hx-V0&feature=fvwrel

Kozlov then says he will fight MacGruber tonight.

In the back, H talks to MacGruber, who pissed his pants. He says they aren't his pants, but his friends pants. Kane walks in and MacGruber says they're Kane's pants, and he is confused. MacGruber leaves and Kane implies that he also shat his pants.

Jack Swagger comes out and issues an open challenge, so The Undertaker accepts. Aw shit.

Match #2: The Undertaker vs. Jack Swagger
Good, not great. They try to work this slow mat based match and it's interesting, but the crowd shits on it. Mostly because it just doesn't work. Swagger's been damaged by his 9 months on Raw to the point where him dominating Taker for 10-15 minutes is completely ridiculous. Swagger works the leg, but it's nothing special and Taker hardly sells it. He wins with the Tombstone.
**1/2

MacGruber trailer.

Match #3: Vladimir Kozlov vs. MacGruber
Kozlov dominates until Ryan Philippe comes out and says he got MacGruber's cousin to help him, Khaluber, and Khali comes out to fight Vlad. Kozlov bails and loses by count out.
Ford's WCA Trios Tournament

MacGruber then plugs Shrek 4, but then remembers he also has a movie and plugs that.

Hype video for Cena/Batista.

Edge/Jericho in a cage match is announced for the PPV.

Match #4: Triple H/Rey Mysterio/Edge vs. CM Punk/Luke Gallows/Chris Jericho w/ Serena
This was a ton of fun for essentially an 8 minute dark match style main event. Punk and Gallows delivered on the control seg. Rey was crisp and everyone else just sort of did their big spots while letting the talent carry it. Rey gets to do an awesome tag. Rey hits Punk with the 619 and then he falls back into the Pedigree and the faces win.
**3/4

Best non-Mania build Raw of 2010. Volcanos need to strand the Raw crew more often.

WWE NXT
April 20th, 2010
Mohegan Sun, CT

featured an opening segment in which Matt Striker introduced the NXT rookies already in the ring and said they would compete in a Rock'em Sock'em Rookies event in which they would try to knock each other off pedestals at the entrance stage, with the winner getting their own feature on WWE.com; in the opening round, Heath Slater defeated David Otunga, Skip Sheffield defeated Wade Barrett, Daniel Bryan defeated Michael Tarver when Tarver refused to participate, and Darren Young defeated Justin Gabriel

A video aired on Wade Barrett's success in NXT.

Match #1: Justin Gabriel vs. David Otunga
This got 7 minutes, so it was not good. Otunga again looked barely trained. Gabriel's high flying stuff all looks good though. He wins with a sunset flip when Truth refuses to grab Otunga's hands on the floor when he asks for it.
*3/4

The stick joust thing continues. Young beats Bryan and Skip beats Slater.

Carlito and Tarver come out and he says he's not playing along with this show, he's not playing by the rules, and he did not come here to dance on a balloon like a monkey for your entertainment. FUCK YEAH TARVER. Tarver called out any of the other rookies and Skip Sheffield came out. He said his mentor was still trapped in Europe, but he would do him proud with a win tonight. The SES and Darren Young came out. Punk said his rookie beat Gallows last week and is in the finals of the stick fight thing, so he thinks it should be a three way. It is.

Match #2: Darren Young vs. Michael Tarver vs. Skip Sheffield
Solid 5 minutes. Basic three way spots. Young beats Tarver with the Hurts Donut.
**

A video airs on Heath Slater's NXT run. Miz says Slater is too much over the top and too annoying. The general sentiment is that once he stop kissing up to fans, he will inspire true hate and it will be amazing.

Skip beats Young in the stick fight finals. YEP YEP YEP WUT IT DO.

Match #3: Chris Jericho vs. Heath Slayer
Only 3 minutes, so really not much of note. Not a good 3 minutes either. Some really horrible daylight filled punches from both guys. Slater's late match offense looks good though, and he counters the Walls into a roll up for a huge upset.

Yoshi Tatsu vs. Zack Ryder, Superstars (April 22nd)
They get 8 minutes, so this is good fun. Yoshi takes good bumps and Zack has some nice pieces of brutality on his control segment. Yoshi's comeback is awesome and Zack gets in place really well for all his strikes and offense. Zack avoids the Roundhouse Kick but Yoshi wins with the Spinning Wheel Kick off the top instead.

WWE Smackdown
April 23rd, 2010
Mohegan Sun, CT

Before his match, Swagger brags about his recent "hot" streak, which is essentially just that he retained the belt last week. He then talks about his match with Orton and holy fucking shit, someone get this man a fucking manager asap. He wants to be permanently drafted to Smackdown next week.

Match #1: Jack Swagger vs. John Morrison
Another good but not great match. Marginally better than 2 weeks ago, but essentially the same match. Swagger works on the midsection. Morrison does not sell it because he's a shitty wrestler. Can't wait until he goes to Raw and no longer has to work long matches. Morrison wins with Starship Pain.
**1/2

In the back, Punk complains to T'Lo about Rey continually trying to cut his hair before it's time on Sunday. T'Lo says he would look ugly bald since he's not handsome like him, and he books Punk/Gallows vs. Rey/Kane tonight.

Match #2: Dolph Ziggler/Drew McIntyre vs. R-Truth/Matt Hardy
Heels carry this, but it is good for 4-5 minutes. The match is basically them beating the shit out of Matt Hardy. He can't sell well, move around well, and can barely punch well anymore, but god damnit, Matt Hardy in 2010 clearly wants to fucking die, and he lets them abuse his skull. Drew stomps his head on the steps and it is AMAZING. Shockingly good KO selling from Matt. The ref then stops the match when he's obviously out.
**1/4

Matt Hardy is helped up, BUT DREW THROWS TRUTH INTO THE STEPS AND KICKS MATT IN THE HEAD! FUCK YEAH! He gets in his face and says this is the last time Matt ever wanted to see him again.

featured an in-ring promo by Chris Jericho, alongside Wade Barrett, inside a steel cage; Jericho said he would end Edge's career in their cage match at Extreme Rules; moments later, Edge interrupted and limped out to the ring, saying he was banged up but nothing would stop him from facing Jericho at Extreme Rules; Edge then climbed in the cage, talked about recovering from a broken neck to return to the ring, and eventually fought with Jericho & Barrett; after fighting both men off, Edge scared Jericho to the floor, with Jericho closing the door behind him and leaving Barrett inside with Edge; Edge then threw Barrett into the cage and followed with the spear

Shad comes out to do commentary in a suit. Shad/JTG in a strap match is announced.

Match #3: JTG vs. Mike Knox
Knox loses in 2 minutes despite clearly carrying it. JTG wins with the Shout Out.
*3/4

Knox is released the day before this airs, along with Mickie James, Shelton, and some others. Fuck them though.

KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOX ;______; :(

Shad lays out JTG post-match. Who gives a shit? Knox is gone. Fuck you, WWE Creative. This man had a fucking beardload of potential, and the best offensive move in pro wrestling in years, and you job him out to every piece of shit on the roster.

Hype video for Cena/Batista.

Michelle/Beth for the belt is announced for the PPV in a Good Housekeeping Match.

Match #4: LayCool w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. Beth Phoenix/Mickie James
This is Mickie's last match. This is a fine 3 minutes and Layla beats Mickie with a Rude Awakening.
*3/4

LayCool brings out an ironing board and they beat them with it. They put Mickie through it and smear lipstick all over Beth's face.

Match #5: CM Punk/Luke Gallows w/ Serena vs. Rey Mysterio/Kane
Enjoyable match. Punk and Luke isolate Rey and have an awesome control segment. Kane makes the hot tag and they bump around very well for his shit. Rey gets back in as Kane and Gallows fight to the back. Punk goes for the GTS but Rey turns it into a sunset flip BUT PUNK SITS DOWN ON IT FOR THE CLEAN PIN ON REY! WHAAAAAAAT?!?!?!? I assumed this feud was ALL Rey, in-ring, except for the Extreme Rules match. I'm glad I was wrong.
**3/4

They keep fighting, and Rey gets the trimmers. He tries to shave Punk, but Serena pulls him to safety.

WWE Extreme Rules 2010
April 25th, 2010
Baltimore, MD

Triple H/Sheamys is set to open the show, but in the back, Sheamus is beating the shit out of H. He hits him in the neck with a pipe and they make him leave.

Big show and The Miz come out and Miz gets on the mic. He says they can start this show off way better, and they're the best tag team in WWE history, and Bret Hart still has to state that they're the best, and he would do so tomorrow on Raw. And sincee they're the greatest and have no competition, T'Lo comes out with his inexplicable control. He books them in a gauntlet match and if any of those teams can beat them, they'll get a title shot.

Match #1: The Big Show/The Miz vs. John Morrison/R-Truth vs. MVP/Mark Henry vs. The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya [Gauntlet Match]
Truth and Morrison are first and they have a pretty awesome match that should have gone down at Mania. Morrison counters a Chokeslam into a Triangle Choke over the top rope, but stupidly doesn't let go before 5 and they are DQ'd. Lame finish. The blacks are next. They soon fall to the KO Punch. The Harts are last and they immediately hit Miz with the Springboard Hart Attack to win. More of an angle to set up the Dynasty's title shot, but a good one.
**

In the back, Grisham is outside the trainers room. Sheamus says if Triple H is too much of a coward to face him, he should admit it. He says he's going to the ring later on, and if Triple H won't man up and face him, he'll just win by forfeit.

Match #2: CM Punk w/ SES vs. Rey Mysterio [CM Punk's Hair On The Line]
Good, but Rey refusing to sell really did hold this back. It really stands out when Punk works on his back for most of the match, and when Rey throws a few kicks to his knees, Punk sells it for a lot of the match, but Rey can't sell the back once on his comeback. That being said, all the stuff here was really fucking crisp and well done and the booking ruled. Luke and Serena get ejected for interference and it really seems like Rey is about to win, but a masked SES guy comes from under the ring and DDTs Rey on the floor. Punk brings him in, and he wins with the GTS.
***

THE WWE DRAFT: TOMORROW NIGHT

Recap of the Cryme Tyme feud.

Match #3: JTG vs. Shad Gaspard [Strap Match]
Acceptable for 5 minutes, but not great. The highlight is Shad yelling "1, 2, SHAD'S COMIN FO' YOU. 3,4, BETTA LOCK YO DOOR LOCK YO DOOR LOCK YO DOOR LOCK YO DOOR" JTG wins.
**

FUCKING DOUBLE DOWN COMMERCIAL.

Hype video for Swagger/Orton.

Match #4: Jack Swagger [c] vs. Randy Orton [World Heavyweight Championship - Extreme Rules]
This is good and logical, but so very unexciting and dry. Swagger keeps it on the mat and then Orton's wanting to hurt Swagger ends up costing him, since Swagger merely wants to win. Orton went for a chair instead of the RKO, and then tried an RKO on the chair, but Swagger throws him onto the chair. The Doctor Bomb then wins fro Swagger.
**3/4

Post-match, Orton hits Swagger with the RKO on the floor.

Sheamus comes out for the match and H stumbles out doing hilarious overselling of his arm and neck nerve damage.

Match #5: Sheamus vs. Triple H [Street Fight]
Somehow, with the nerve damage and H being basically dead, this is almost 16 minutes. His selling ranges from hilarious to really good, so it's sort of a hit and miss match. That being said, it's like 75% hit and 25% miss, so more good than bad. Triple H kicks out of a pipe to the skull and three Brogue Kicks before Sheamus hits a 4th one to win, which is completely ridiculous. That being said, this really got Sheamus over as a killer, so that's good.
**3/4

H is helped to the back, but Sheamus lays him out again on the stage.

In the back, Edge says he's not even going to try and escape the cage tonight.

Match #6: Michelle McCool [c] w/ Layla & Vickie Guerrero vs. Beth Phoenix [WWE Women's Championship - Extreme Makeover Match]
There's a ton of makeup on a table at ringside. It's basically just a hardcore match, so it's good, but these two seem like they'd be capable of more. Some good spots involving an ironing board, but not much overall. Beth wins with the Glam Slam.
**

Hype for the Mania DVD.

Hype video for Jericho/Edge.

Match #7: Chris Jericho vs. Edge [Steel Cage Match]
Edge's selling of his ankle sucked and the action wasn't much here. They tell a story on commentary about Edge's hurt leg, but they don't really work that story at all, and just work a generic bloodless cage match with not a lot of interesting new stuff. It went on WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too long at the end before Edge won.
**1/4

Hype video for the main event.

Match #8: John Cena [c] vs. Batista [WWE Championship - Last Man Standing Match]
Awesome LMS match. Batista works the leg and Cena barely stays on the right side of the line between adrenaline and no-selling through his body movements. Once Cena can get offense in, he immediately starts trying for the kill, but Batista is unkillable. The selling of the individual big spots for 10 counts was great by both men. Some awesome big spots including Cena bumping through the barricade, an FU through the announce table, Spears through a table in the corner. Batista keeps getting up, so Cena has to outsmart him. He duct tapes his feet together around the post, and he he physically cannot stand up, so Cena wins.

WWE Women's Champion: Beth Phoenix, Since 4/25/2010

WWE DRAFT 2010
April 26th, 2010
Richmond, VA

Miz and Big Show come out to open the show. Miz says last night's loss was unfair and The Hart Dynasty hasn't even won any titles, so they can't be a real dynasty. He called out Bret Hart to call them the greatest tag team ever like he agreed to do. Bret Hart comes out and says it, but then also says The Mountie was the greatest IC Champion ever and David Arquette was the best world champion ever. Bret says talk is cheap, and he knows The Hart Dynasty will be tag champions by the end of the night.

Match #1: The Big Show/The Miz [c] vs. The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya & Bret Hart [WWE Unified Tag Team Championship]
Very good. Kidd and Miz have a very nice exchange early on. Kidd/Show is an awesome big/little pairing and the control seg on Kidd is great. Especially from Big Show. DH has a shockingly good hot tag and they have some good nearfalls. Kidd takes out Show with a dive off the apron and they hit Miz with the Springboard Hart Attack. Kidd puts on the Sharpshooter AND MIZ TAPS!
***

Post-match, Show hits Miz with the KO Punch.

Recap of Sheamus/H.

featured Josh Matthews conducting a backstage interview with World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger regarding his win the previous night over Randy Orton; moments later, Edge interrupted and said his win over Chris Jericho in a steel cage made him next in line for a title shot

Match #1: LayCool w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. Eve/Maryse[For a Draft Pick]
LayCool looked good here. Eve sucks though and this was not much. LayCool wins with Michelle's boot on Maryse.
3/4*

Kelly Kelly is drafted to Smackdown.

Match #2: CM Punk w/ SES vs. Evan Bourne [For a Draft Pick]
They get 4 minutes and it is AMAZING. Lots of crisp kicks and strikes and Bourne takes some positively insane bumps. He gets his awesome dive, and then when he goes up top, Serena distracts the ref. Masked SES guy runs in from the crowd to crotch him and runs back out. Punk then hits the GTS to win.
**3/4

Smackdown drafts The Big Show.

eatured an in-ring promo by Sheamus in which he claimed Triple H's career was over as a result of his win the night before at Extreme Rules and said he was now after WWE World Champion John Cena; moments later, Orton interrupted, said he too had done horrible things to Triple H, but that he fought Triple H like a man to his face and not from behind; Sheamus replied by saying Orton lost his title shot, with Orton threatening to drop Sheamus with the RKO; Cena then appeared at the entrance stage and said the guest host could settle the matter; Cena then pretended to take a call from WWE informing him there was no guest host for the show, then saying he would choose the top contender by having Sheamus face Orton later in the show; after Cena went backstage; Sheamus attempted to kick Orton in the head, with Orton avoiding it and attempting to drop Sheamus with the RKO until Sheamus slid out to the floor

Match #3: 10 Man Battle Royal [For 3 Draft Picks]
Some stuff happens. Not much of note. DiBiase eliminates Rey last to give Raw the win.
*3/4

RAW DRAFTS: JOHN MORRISON, R-TRUTH, & EDGE! Holy shit, Smackdown won huge there.

Chris Jericho comes out for his match and complains that Edge beat him because he was shaken by his loss to Heath Slater, and demands Slater comes out to apologize. He comes out with Christian, and he says Jericho loses a lot lately, and he's going to lose to Christian next.

Match #4: Chris Jericho vs. Christian w/ Heath Slater [For a Draft Pick]
Christian did well. They basically just worked a ton of nearfalls and counters with none of Jericho's time killing, so it worked well. Jericho wins with a Codebreaker as Christian comes off the top.
**3/4

Slater checks on Christian, so Jericho hits him with one too.

Smackdown drafts Kofi Kingston. He comes out and hits the Trouble in Paradise on Jericho.

Match #5: Jack Swagger vs. John Morrison [For a Draft Pick]
They get more time than before. Same match. Shitty selling from Morrison, mediocre work from Jack. Doctor Bomb ends it. Worse than the first 2, since they struggled to fill extra time.
**1/4

Smackdown gets Christian! FINALLY!

In the back, Ted asks R-Truth to be his sidekick and Truth says he's not going to be his Virgil and slaps him.

Match #6: Dolph Ziggler vs. Hornswoggle
Swoggle wins by count out in 30 seconds after shenanigans.
1/2*

Ziggler chokes him out with the Sleeper in the ring and it is amazing.

Raw drafts Chris Jericho. SMACKDOWN WINS AGAIN!

Batista comes out before the main event and gets on the mic. DUCT TAPE?! ARE YOU SERIOUS? DUCT TAPE? REALLY? He says Cena never beat him and he should be #1 Contender. The other come out to argue with him, but Cena comes out and says it can be a three way since he's apparently Raw GM tonight.

Match #7: Batista vs. Randy Orton vs. Sheamus [#1 Contender's Match]
Generic triple threat, basic stuff done well, etc. They do stuff. Orton hits the RKO on Sheamus, but Edge runs out and Spears Orton! He leaves and Batista pins Orton to win.

WWE NXT
April 27th, 2010

featured an opening in-ring segment with Matt Striker and the NXT rookies in which Striker said the rookies would have 60 seconds to sell merchandise to the fans and the rookie with the most money would earn a match for the following week against the pro of their choosing; Skip Sheffield brought in $60

Match #1: Chris Jericho/Wade Barrett vs. Christian/Heath Slater
Good for 3 minutes. Not enough Christian though, and Jericho beats Slater with the Codebreaker.
*3/4

Striker is with Daniel Bryan in the crowd for the merch challenge. HE SAYS HE DOESN'T BELIEVE IN CAPITALISM, AND HE GIVES AWAY ALL THE PROGRAMS FOR FREE! FUCK YEAH! DOWN WITH CAPITALISM!

Earlier today, Carlito made Tarver carry his bags since he's 0-6.

Justin Gabriel sells $210 of programs.

A video airs on Michael Tarver and what the pros think. Punk, Christian, and Regal are the only ones who see something there, which makes sense, as they're actual great wrestlers. Punk then shits on Carlito and asks how Tarver can learn anything from him.

Match #2: Darren Young vs. Michael Tarver
Good 3 minutes. Both men have moments of good stuff. Gallows attacks Tarver behind the ref's back and Young wins with the Hurts Donut. He had a good jumping shoulderblock and Rolling Elbow in this, and he has improved a good amount.
**

Otunga sells next and he gets $315. None of the others top this, so Otunga wins.

A video airs on Justin Gabriel. The pros really like his 450, but say he has no personality.

Clips air of earlier tonight, where Otunga was mad at Truth for not helping him last week, and Truth said he needs to practice more in the ring and can't rely on easy handouts.

Tarver walks out on the challenge again.

Otunga gets brought back out since he won, and he chooses to face R-Truth next week!

A video airs on Daniel Bryan. Everyone realizes he's clearly the best in the ring. Only Miz shits on him, and FUCKING MATT HARDY tells him he needs an over the top personality to make it here. Matt Hardy from 1999-2008, one of my favorite wrestlers. Had he not self destructed, he'd be one of my all time favorites. But god damn, shut the fuck up. You made your career, with the exception of Mattitude, on being a normal guy who can gut it out and win. That's basically Danielson's gimmick too, except with him being way better on the mat. Die.

Match #3: Daniel Bryan vs. Skip Sheffield
Only 90 seconds, but SO fucking good. Danielson again gets the best out of his opponent. Awesome body blows with punches and kicks, great submissions, etc. Skip then wins with the Backpack Stunner after an epic Lariat.

Match #1: Chris Jericho vs. Kofi Kingston

5 minute nothing match. They do some new stuff but a lot of it is botched or looks bad. Kofi wins clean with the Trouble in Paradise.
**

In the back, Jack Swagger says that he was invited to the White House by the greatest president of all time, George W. Bush.

In the back, Jericho passes by someone and says this show is nothing without him and he could have used him out there. Jericho asks if he's even listening, AND IT'S BIG SHOW WITH THE KO PUNCH TO JERICHO! YES! FUCK YEAH BIG SHOW!

included a backstage promo by Shad Gaspard, in a suit, in which he talked about the new faces coming from Raw and said it was his time, not theirs

Chavo is in the ring and says he's glad to be back on Smackdown, his home. Kane comes out and Chokeslams him and says welcome back.

Match #2: John Morrison vs. Cody Rhodes
Good 8 minutes. Cody had a solid control segment of good looking offense. Morrison didn't bring a ton to this, but there wasn't any no selling, so this wasn't infuriating. Good finishing run, and Cody wins with Cross Rhodes.
**3/4

In the back, Jack Swagger says he won three consecutive wrestling championships in college.

Edge comes out for his farewell speech and he says he's always felt like Smackdown was his show. This is true. While I never associated him with the brand like I did for guys like JBL, Eddie, Benoit, Angle, or especially Undertaker and Rey Mysterio, he feels more at home on SD than on Raw. He says he loves the fans, and Christian comes out! They retcon history so they're merely best friends. FUCK THAT, THEY'RE BROTHERS. Edge wishes him luck on his show and Christian says he's glad he brought up them being best friends and he knows him better than anyone, maybe even better than he knows himself. So he knows that everything he said before he came out here was a load of crap. Christian says the WWE Universe respected him so much for all he's come back from, but he knows Edge never really liked them back. He used them to get what he wants, like he does to a lot of people. Edge says this is about Christian and how he's never won a World Title and he's won 9. Christian says when he does win it, he'll win on his own merit, not by stepping on other people's necks, and he won't let Edge change the subject. Christian says Edge is a liar, and Edge says he's right. He can't wait to leave this show and had fun making people chant SPEAR for his amusement. He says he's played the entire world and he enjoyed it. Christian says ever since he came back, people have asked about a reunion, but it dawned on him that he wasn't above being used either, because Edge used him, their team, to launch his career. He doesn't want Edge AND Christian anymore, he wants Edge VS Christian right now! Edge refuses because SD isn't work it and cheap shots Christian and they brawl and Edge bails. This was amazing to set up the Spear.

In the back, Edge is KO'd by Big Show.

Match #3: LayCool vs. Beth Phoenix/Kelly Kelly
They got 4 minutes, so it was potentially good, but it was not. K2 was truly horrible and the focus was on her. Kelly beats Layla with a hideous Famesasser.
3/4*

included an in-ring promo by Dolph Ziggler regarding the attack he gave Hornswoggle on Monday, during which he said Hornswoggle would never again be on Smackdown

In the back, Matt Hardy says he'll be coming back for revenge on Drew, so Drew jumps him and hits the Future Shock on the floor.

The Straight Edge Society comes out to brag about Punk still having his fair. MVP comes out though, being back on SD. He says this show got boring since his VIP Lounge got replaced by Punk preaching every week. He says Friday is about to be fun again and he attacks them. Rey comes out to save and coming back from break, it is a tag match.

Match #4: CM Punk/Luke Gallows w/ Serena vs. Rey Mysterio/MVP[/v]
Fun 5 minutes. SES has a real good control seg on Rey. MVP has a mediocre hot tag. Rey hits Luke with the 619 and MVP does a shitty version of Shelton's Paydirt, named the 305, for the win.
**1/4

Jack Swagger comes out to the ring and says when he was a young boy, 2 years old, his dad sat him down. People won't shut up, so he stalls and yells to sit down and listen. His dad told him that one day he would be a World Champion, and he was right. He says when he was 12, he won the NFL Punt, Pass, & Kick competition and dares people to look it up. He was also an Eagle Scout, and he knows that's impressive. The crowd boos, so he goes on about his 1510 SAT score and being a TWO TIME TWO TIME All American. And when he won this title, he sat down with his daddy again, and his dad said he told him so. He says he will be champion until he retires and T'Lo finally comes out. He introduces the new #1 Contender, The Big Show! He comes out and knocks out Swagger too.

TONIGHT: Beat The Clock challenge between Cena and Batista to pick the stipulation, The Cutting Edge w/ Orton

The first match is supposed to be Batista/Miz, but he comes out and says he has facial trauma from last week, and has a doctor's note to prove it. He says he would love to give Batista the match they both deserve, but he cannot, so instead, his rookie will take his place.

Match #1: Batista vs. Daniel Bryan [Beat The Clock Challenge]
Really good 5 minutes. Danielson immediately goes for holds and Batista is caught off guard. Bryan takes awesome bumps when Batista takes over. Batista does a good job selling and making Daniel's offense look totally believable. Batista hits the Batista Bomb to win at 5:06.
**3/4

Batista is mad about it and hits 2 more Batista Bombs.

Before the match, Ted Jr. says he WILL hire an assistant and his first assignment will be to help him slap sense into R-Truth.

Match #2: John Morrison vs. Ted DiBiase
Ted quickly bails. Morrison challenges him to come back and if he loses, he'll be his assistant. Ted accepts and they have a mediocre match. Morrison wins with a shitty roll up.
*3/4

Ted beats on JoMo until Truth runs out to save.

It's supposed to be Cena/Jericho in the 2nd Beat The Clock match. Jericho comes out with MWAY and says he has nothing to gain from beating Cena again, so he puts Wade in the match instead.

Match #3: John Cena vs. Wade Barrett [Beat The Clock Challenge]
Cena randomly breaks out the matwork and it is a fun opening minute out of 4:30 or so. Wade was nothing special in this and Cena wins with the STFU with 30 seconds left.
**

Cena says he knows exactly what match he wants, BUT SHEAMUS COMES FROM THE CROWD AND HITS THE BROGUE KICK! FUCK YEAH SHEAMUS!

Match #4: Maryse vs. Nikki Bella
Maryse wins in a minute.
1/2*

Post-match, Maryse shows pics from a photo shoot of Eve's that she attacked her during and then posed on her KO'd body with the belt. Eve comes out and they have a horrible brawl.

Alicia Fox and Gail Kim are at ringside.

Zack Ryder is in the ring and says the biggest news of the draft is him still being on Raw. Now he's single and ready to mingle, so he invited them out to watch him in action. He issues an open challenge so guest host Wayne Brady randomly shows up in his first segment all night and brings out MOK.

Match #5: Mark Henry vs. Zack Ryder
Fun 90 second squash. World's Strongest Slam ends it.
*3/4

MOK leaves with the sluts.

In the back, Jericho and Miz talk about how Show tried to to ruin their careers. Jericho says he has an idea for how they can get back about them.

This happens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxDD8GMEvcE&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PL95296ABB526C9D71

Regal is amazing, and Santino further becomes awful by burying ECW on SciFi

Jericho and Miz come out to do commentary and Miz seems like Jericho's dickhead little cousin. It's amazing.

Match #6: The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya vs. William Regal/Vladimir Kozlov
Good 3 minutes. Regal is king. They have good work on the arm of Kidd. DH gets in and makes Regal tap to the Sharpshooter.
**1/4

Post-match, Jericho and Miz lay out DH Smith.

included a closing in-ring segment of The Cutting Edge in which Edge said he worked hard to prepare himself to be the top guy on Smackdown only to be moved to Raw and saying his spear on Randy Orton made him the most talked about name on Raw; Edge then went to introduce Orton only for Brady to come out, with Brady saying he grew up a WWE fan and asked if he could follow in Edge's footsteps for just a moment; Brady then cut a promo on several of the past guest hosts, mentioning Mini Me and Bob Barker and saying he was Bob Darker; Orton then came out, stared at Edge, and then dropped Brady with the RKO; Edge took the mic and said Orton was a victim of being at the wrong place at the wrong time and reminded Orton that the last time he was on his show was when they formed Rated RKO; Edge said they could recreate their success and that no one could stop them; when Orton didn't budge, Edge said the fans didn't accept him, despite giving them a catch phrase, commercials, and coming back from a possible career ending injury; he then said it wasn't fair the fans chanted for Orton instead of him wasn't fair and neither was the fact he wasn't world champion and that he was drafted to Raw; eventually, Orton went for the RKO only to be kicked in the face by Edge; Edge then went for the spear but Orton dropped him with a RKO in mid air and stood over his body as the show went off the air

WWE NXT
May 4th, 2010
North Charleston, SC

- featured an opening ringside segment in which Matt Striker addressed the eight NXT rookies, noted the Pros poll would be revealed the following week, and one of the men would be eliminated; Striker then introduced the obstacle course challenge, with the winner winning immunity the next week; Daniel Bryan's ribs were heavily taped after sustaining three sit-down powerbombs the previous night from Batista; after Bryan, who went first, completed the course at at 2:45.5, WWE US Champion Mike Mizanin appeared, insulted Bryan's performance, and said his injury was not an excuse; Miz then said Bryan's winless record would go up against Michael Tarver's winless record, and that if he did not win then there was no way the other pros would advance him; Miz then said Bryan's match was next

Match #1: Daniel Bryan vs. Michael Tarver
This is 4 minutes and focused on the ribs, so it's based on Danielson selling, which makes it the best NXT match in a while. Tarver hits his nifty Reverse Powerslam to win. :(
**1/2

Carlito hits Bryan with the Backstabber post-match.

In the back, Punk tells Darren Young to figure out who and what he wants to be, and if he doesn't win the challenge this week, he'll decide for him.

More obstacle course stuff. Gabriel is the eventual winner, and wins immunity from elimination next week.

Match #2: R-Truth vs. David Otunga
Otunga looked moderately okay at points in this. R-Truth wins with the Lie Detector.
*3/4

Striker interviews all the rookies about who they thing should be eliminated next week, and most of them say Tarver. Bryan says if anyone should be eliminated next week, it should be him. Darren Young and Wade get in a fight when Wade piefaces him.

May 7th, 2010
Greenville, SC

Matt Hardy comes out to open the show and he talks about his issue with Drew. He shows clips, but Drew gets on the stage. He says he's been designated the chosen one by Vince McMahon, and as a result, he's untouchable. Matt challenges him to fight, and he comes down to brawl with him. They get pulled apart by referees but Drew keeps attacking him. He has some epic knees and boots to the head and T'Lo comes out and yells at Drew to get off of Matt. Drew keeps it up SO T'LO SUSPENDS HIM! He keeps it up, so T'LO STRIPS HIM OF THE TITLE! He again kept hitting Matt, SO TEDDY FIRED HIM! Drew is dragged out.

Josh asks T'Lo about the belt, and he schedules a tournament with the finals next week.

Match #1: MVP vs. Luke Gallows w/ SES
Fine 3 minutes. Gallows carries it before losing to the awful 305 move after Rey comes out to cut off Punk interference.
**

Coming back from break, Punk is still in the ring and he calls Rey a coward. Rey comes back to the stage and asks where Punk's masked man is hiding. Punk says he has no idea what he's talking about and it's typical of him, just like everyone else, to blame someone else for their own problems. Rey challenges him to a third match at Over The Limit and they make it Punk's Hair vs. Rey Joining The SES. Yay.

Match #2: LayCool w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. Kelly Kelly/Tiffany
They now have SMELLY KELLY shirts on. Layla carried this when she was in with some awesome bumps and good looking offense. McCool was great as usual. Layla beats Tiffany with the Rude Awakening.
*1/2

Match #3: Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston [IC Title Tournament - Semi-Finals]

They get 9 minutes or so, and since this is the first time they fight and not the 12,000th like we saw in 2011, their stuff is fresh enough to still be awesome. Kofi was trying real hard too and Ziggler took a ton of great bumps. Awesome control seg by him, and the finishing run was great. Many great counters and nearfalls. Kofi arm drags out of the Sleeper and Kofi hits Trouble in Paradise to win.
***

Recap of Swagger's stuff last week.

TONIGHT: Swagger vs. Kane

Edge vs. Orton has been signed for Over The Limit.

Match #4: Christian vs. Cody Rhodes [IC Title Tournament - Semi-Finals]
Another awesome match. Christian finally gets to work a longish match again for the first time since ECW and it delivers. He takes his customary big bump, this time into the steps, to transition into Cody's offense. Cody does well and Christian's selling of it is fantastic. Christian makes a hot comeback and they have a killer finishing run. Christian wins with the Killswitch.
***

A video airs on Show's recent KO spree.

The Big Show comes out to do commentary.

Match #5: Jack Swagger vs. Kane
Below average 5 minutes. The highlight is Show on commentary saying that when he broke the ring, Vince made him pay for a new one. Swagger gets DQ'd for ramming Kane several times into an exposed turnbuckle.
*3/4

He beats on him on the floor, so Show Chokeslams him through the announce table.

Evan Bourne pinned Zack Ryder at 2:07 with Air Bourne after Gail Kim prevented Alicia Fox from pulling Bourne off the top rope; prior to the bout, Ryder took the mic and thanked Fox and Gail for coming out ringside again and said the last moment in the arena before "they blow it up" was him getting his first win on Raw; after the contest, Bourne left ringside with Gail

WWE Unified Tag Team Champion Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya Neidhart) pinned WWE US Champion Mike Mizanin in a non-title match at the 42-second mark with a roll over; stipulations stated Miz would defend his title against one of the Hart family the following week; after the contest, Miz took the mic and said he would decide which person he would defend his title against and said it wouldn't be Kidd or Smith; Miz then said Natalya wanted him in the ring but it wouldn't be her either, but rather Bret Hart

Matt Striker brings out all the rookies and announces that the Pros' Poll will happen later tonight. But first, since they both said maybe they should be gone last week, both Michael Tarver and Daniel Bryan have been eliminated! FUCK THIS SHOW. Not worth it anymore without someone to carry these kids. Striker says he's been held back and this whole show is awful. They both leave and Striker says a third person will be eliminated tonight, whoever is last in the poll.

Match #1: Wade Barrett vs. Heath Slater
Alright 4 minutes. Nothing amazing, but nothing horrible. MWAY catches Heath coming off the top and then gets him up to hit the Wasteland.
*3/4

In the back, Striker asks Tarver what's next. He glares at him and walks off and Striker wishes him luck in his future endeavors.

Match #2: Skip Sheffield vs. Darren Young
Really good 3 minutes. Young is by far the most improved guy on the show, going from mediocre to now having a lot of good looking offense. Skip is improved by working more like a monster. Skip wins with the Backpack Stunner.
**

SMACKDOWN REBOUND!

In the back, Striker talks to Daniel Bryan. He says it was fair and he doesn't make excuses. He says he'll still find a way. Striker asks if he regrets leaving the independents to come to WWE, and Daniel Bryan does something awesome:

"That's funny, because Daniel Bryan never wrestled on the independent scene. If you go and youtube Daniel Bryan, all you ever see is Daniel Bryan in the WWE. There was this guy, you know, he was out there and he was kicking people's heads in. People called him the Best Wrestler in the World. He was a champion in Mexico, Europe, and Japan. You know what his name was? You might know this guy."

Striker asks what's next.

"For Daniel Bryan? I don't know man, that might be the end of him. He's eliminated from NXT, I mean, he can't even beat rookies. He can take Batista to the limit, but he can't even beat rookies? Daniel Bryan might be done, but uh...

BRYAN DANIELSON? WHO KNOWS WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN WITH HIM?"

FUCK THAT WAS AWESOME. Shame they never actually did anything based on that.

Match #3: Justin Gabriel vs. David Otunga
This blew. Mostly Otunga on offense, and he wins with a shitty Uranage.
*1/4

Striker is back out with all the rookies at ringside. They all say Otunga should leave. The poll has Wade as #1, OTunga as #2, Slater #3, Young #4, and Skip is #5 and is eliminated. Skip says he was misguided here and the fans never saw the real him, but it won't be long before they do.

Skip's got this.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Chris Masters, Superstars (May 13th)
Shockingly great match. Good power/technique type deal early on with Ziggler sticking and moving. All their offense looked great too, and Ziggler was especially awesome at leaning into Masters' punches as that's really his only weak piece of offense at this point. Ziggler also takes huge bumps, but Masters fucking outbumps him when Ziggler kicks him in the face on the apron and he takes an insane flatback bump to the floor. This leads to a great Ziggler control seg on the neck. There's a great amount of struggle in all their holds. Masters comes back with a chop to the face. Good finishing run. Ziggler blocks the Masterlock by running to the corner and ducking so Masters hits the top buckle, and then he hits the Peace Zig to win.

WWE Smackdown
May 14th, 2010
Buffalo, NY

Match #1: Christian vs. Kofi Kingston [WWE Intercontinental Championship Tournament Finals]

Good 8 minute face/face spotfest. Christian can do better than making Kofi's shitty stuff look good, but he worked with him well enough. They had some really good counters and spots. Kofi rolled through a roll up and hit Christian with the Trouble in Paradise to win the belt.
**3/4

T'Lo came out with the belt, and he presented it to Kofi. Drew McIntyre then came out to the ring and Teddy threatened to have him taken out by security. Drew handed Teddy a note, and Teddy was saddened by it, and he dropped it. He took the belt from Kofi and gave it back to Drew, and he left with the belt.

Coming back from break, Striker reads the note out loud and it is from Vince McMahon and says Drew is not suspended and is not stripped of the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Awesome angle.

In the back, Swagger oversaw several men taking boxes off of a truck.

Match #2: Shad Gaspard vs. Jobber
Not a good squash, which makes sense as Shad is not a good wrestler.
1/2*

TONIGHT: Punk vs. Mysterio

Wait, what? What the fuck? Why?

Match #3: MVP/JTG vs. The Dudebusters
Acceptable 4 minutes. MVP clearly isn't giving a shit or good anymore, but the Dudebusters did fine at carrying them. JTG was good as well. MVP wins with the godawful 305 move on Trent. Horrible.
**

In the back, Punk talks to SES and says he saw doubt in their eyes last week. He forgives them because he knows that Rey Mysterio did that and tried to poison their minds, so he's going to the ring alone and he will reaffirm why he saved them in their first place and why he is the leader of the Straight Edge Society, and Rey will begin his road to redemption at Over The Limit.

included an in-ring segment in which Swagger - surrounded by trophies, medals, and awards he had won over the years - talked about his achievements, history as a Boy Scout, and that he brought a 32-year-old doctor to prom as his date; eventually, the Big Show interrupted, with Show saying he was sincerely impressed by Swagger's accomplishments; Show then went about "accidentally" destroying Swagger's national Scrabble and ballroom dancing awards; Swagger replied by attacking Show but Show cleared him from the ring and then broke several of the trophies and awards while Swagger looked on helplessly from the floor; Show then held up the title belt in the ring while Swagger watched

Hype video for Cena/Batista.

It is supposed to be Beth Phoenix vs. Rosa, but Vickie comes out. She says Michelle was using her rematch clause tonight instead, and it would be a handicap match.

Match #4: Beth Phoenix [c] vs. LayCool [WWE Women's Championship]
Beth has a hurt knee here, so this isn't as good as it could be. Michelle and Beth knock heads AND LAYLA GETS THE PIN TO WIN THE TITLE!
*1/2

Neither member of LayCool wants to let go of the belt as they celebrate.

Match #5: Kane vs. Chavo Guerrero
Squash.
3/4*

In the back, T'Lo books Drew vs. Big Show next week.

Match #6: CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio
This is really good, obviously, but it is the least of their non-Mania matches. Usual amazing chemistry and spots here for 8 minutes. Awesome Punk selling of the knee again and they change up a lot of their big spots well. Gallows and Serena come down at the end to watch and the masked SES guy comes from the crowd to attack Rey for the DQ.
***

They all beat on Rey and put him on Punk's shoulders for the GTS. Punk leads them all in the SES pledge and holds up Rey's hand too to end the show.

Bret Hart came out to open the show and said he had no intention of wrestling The Miz for the US Title tonight. He says he doesn't want to be another old guy who stuck around too long when he didn't belong in the ring anymore. Chris Jericho came out and and said Bret's already that guy and he deserved to be screwed. He says Jericho is now the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. Bret says he remembers when he was a kid training in the Dungeon and Jericho says he's the best wrestler to ever come out of the Dungeon. Jericho says Bret's legacy depends on whether or not he faces Miz like a man and says his father would hate the coward he's become, so Bret accepts. Jericho also goads him into making it No DQ.

TONIGHT: Cena vs. Sheamus, Orton and Edge in Pick Your Poison matches

A horrible parody of the Geico commercials airs with Khali being stuck in a compact car. Hornswoggle then drives up in a Hummer, giving us conclusive proof that he was the one who hit Nash.

Edge comes out for the match and Christian immediately comes out and we are too assume Orton picked him.

Match #1: Edge vs. Christian
They get 12 minutes and it's the best Edge match since his return. Christian's made a career since he came back based on putting average or below average wrestlers into his formula and making them look good, and Edge is no different. Christian hurt his arm, so Edge worked on it. Not great arm work, but Christian sold it well enough to carry it. Edge ends up throwing him into the post on his shoulder and he hits the Spear to win.
**3/4

Orton comes on the tron and says Christian wasn't who he chose, so he still has one more match, and his opponent is The Undertaker!

Match #2: The Undertaker vs. Edge
Edge takes a count out loss within 30 seconds.
45/poop

Christian throws Edge back in and he is Chokeslammed.

featured a backstage segment in which Maryse complained about Trish Stratus to the makeup artist; moments later, Maryse began insulting WWE Divas Champion Eve, with Eve then coming up behind her and assaulting her until referees pulled her away

included a backstage segment with Buzz Aldrin, his wife, and Vickie Guerrero in which Aldrin reminded Vickie that she had resigned, during which he accidentally said WWF, and that her replacement would be named the following week; Aldrin then had Brie & Nikki Bella escort Vickie awa

MOK HENRAAAAY comes out for a match with Batista, but he attacks him as he comes out. He beats the shit out of him and puts him on the steps. Batista steps on his back and uses him to climb in the ring. SPOTLIGHT. PLEASE. He then just leaves. Weird but fantastic.

Ted DiBiase comes out for his match and brings out his assistant...VIRGIL! FUCK YEAH VIRGIL! He looks absolutely dead inside, and it is so great because he deserves it.

Match #3: Ted DiBiase w/ Virgil vs. Yoshi Tatsu
Ted sucked, but this was only three minutes and he let Yoshi do his thing to make it good. Ted then wins with Dream Street.
*3/4

Match #4: The Miz [c] vs. Bret Hart [WWE U.S. Championship - No DQ]

Enjoyable 4 minute piece of bullshit that was more of an angle than anything. Jericho comes out to interfere, but the Hart Dynasty comes out to stop him. Miz gets hit with the Hart Attack and Bret puts on the Sharpshooter to win the title!
*1/2

Match #5: Maryse/LayCool vs. Eve/The Bella Twins

Layla and Michelle both have Womens Titles now. This is not much, due to the amount of bad wrestlers in it. Maryse beats one of the Bellas with the French Kiss.
3/4*

Maryse and Eve fight again.

In the back, John Cena cuts a John Cena promo about how he will not quit ever. He says if he quits against Batista, he will not seek a rematch.

Jack Swagger is Orton's opponent.

Match #6: Randy Orton vs. Jack Swagger
Acceptable match. Nothing special, but nothing truly horrible. They do some stuff and then Edge interferes for a DQ.
**1/4

Orton hits Swagger with the RKO, but then Edge hits Orton with the Spear.

prior to the match, Aldrin cut an in-ring promo which was interrupted by Ryder, alongside Fox, who made fun of Canada and claimed the moon landing was a fake; Aldrin then showed footage of him punching out the last guy that said it was fake; Aldrin then said he would be in the corner of Bourne & Kim as they faced Ryder & Fox

Match #7: Evan Bourne/Gail Kim vs. Zack Ryder/Alicia Fox
This was good when the men were in. Not enough of that though. Kim beats Fox with her shitty imitation of Sole Food.
*1/2

NEXT WEEK: JON LOVITZ! YES!

Match #8: John Cena vs. Sheamus[/b
Like their past matches, this is good and has some great moments, but amounts to nothing special as a full match. Cena drops Sheamus over the top with the FU, and Batista runs out for the DQ.
**1/4

Batista hits a Batista Bomb or three and puts on a nasty looking Bow and Arrow hold to end the show.

WWE NXT

The pros are now sitting on the stage, except Carlito and Truth. Striker asks what they look for in a WWE Superstar. Miz says he looks for an "It" Factor. Regal says adaptability, since he's made a career out of it. He can be funny, or, and he turns and gets in Miz's face, he can jump down somebody's throat and they can do nothing about it, sunshine. Punk says he doesn't need to speak to the people here and won't. Christian says he's looking for someone people can get behind. He wants someone to show him "It". Regal says Christian hasn't show anybody anything in 10 years. AMAZING! REGAL IS CONTINUING ECW FEUDS! Matt Hardy says they all want someone who can be a complete package and someone who can survive. Jericho says he's looking for someone who will make him want to pay to see them, and only Wade Barrett has done that.

Match #1: Darren Young vs. Wade Barrett
Punk refuses to accompany Young to ringside. Good 3 minutes. Young again looks really good on offense, including some great punches, which is another new thing from him. MWAY wins with Wasteland.
**

A video airs on David Otunga. Miz says Otunga should be main eventing, which proves that NXT is essentially a vehicle to get Miz over as the most hated heel in the company.

Matt Striker is in the ring and has Daniel Bryan and Michael Tarver there. He asks about their eliminations. Tarver said this competition was based on the pros poll eliminating people, not management, so they were lied too, and this competition wasn't fair. He says he refused to do these challenges because he's not a monkey. Striker then talks to Bryan and asks for his thoughts. Daniel says he was eliminated by management too, not the pros. He says he heard about politics and how they love big guys and guys that they make themselves, regardless of anything else. He says he was a self made, he was invented by the WWE Machine, but he's the guy who's the best for this job. Striker asks about people saying he eliminated himself. Daniel says people can see how good he is, and all the people on the stage know how good he is, and even The Miz knows he's better than him. Miz asks if Daniel is better than him, AND REGAL AND PUNK NOD AND LAUGH AHAHAHAHAHA. Daniel challenges him right now and says one thing he doesn't miss is Striker always interrupting him. ONLY ONE PERSON REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE HOW GOOD HE IS, AND IT'S MICHAEL COLE! He goes to the floor and says he is Vince McMahon's parrot AND JUST BECAUSE HE DOESN'T OWN A TV OR BECAUSE HE'S A VEGAN, THAT HE DOESN'T HAVE IT? HE YELLS THAT HE IS A POOR MAN'S REPLACEMENT FOR JR AND HE SLAPS COLE! He starts kicking him in the face and gets dragged off.

BEST IN THE WORLD!

BEST IN THE WORLD!

BEST IN THE WORLD!

BEST IN THE WORLD!

In the next match, Cole walks out and Josh finally gets to call it by himself.

Match #2: Justin Gabriel vs. Heath Slater
Good 3 minutes. They work well together. Gabriel wins with the 450 Splash.
**

Hype video for Cena/Batista.

A video airs on Darren Young.

Striker has the rookies out and the rankings are done. Young is last and he is gone.
