William Regal vs. Goldust, Superstars (May 20th) They get 5 minutes and it is AMAZING. Regal works on the arm and has some epic strikes and Goldust sells all of it amazingly. Regal cuts him on the cheek with one of his blows and has some ridiculously violent work on the arm. The medics check on Goldust and Regal mocks him. AND GOLDUST RUNS AT HIM AND EXPLODES WITH EPIC PUNCHES! FUCK YEAH! Awesome selling of the arm on nearfalls. Goldust wins with the Final Cut, and has to use his good arm for it. *** Cody Rhodes vs. Chris Masters, Superstars (May 20th) Masters dominates with power, and Cody then works on the arm. It is great arm work and Masters' selling is amazing. Masters has a really good comeback of power stuff. He almost has the Master Lock on, but Cody grabs the ropes. As the ref tells them to break, Cody turns it around into a Divorce Court on the bad arm, and he hits Cross Rhodes after that to win. *** Christian vs. Dolph Ziggler, Superstars (May 20th) ANOTHER great match on this episode. Classic Christian formula at use here, and Ziggler is the best non-Regal guy to be plugged into the formula. Shame they only had 7 minutes, but they still delivered huge. Christian's bump ruled and they put together a really great finishing run combined with Christian's selling. Christian wins with the Killswitch. *** |

WWE Champion: John Cena, Since 3/28/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Jack Swagger, Since 4/2/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: Bret Hart, Since 5/17/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Drew McIntyre, Since 12/13/2009 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 4/12/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Smackdown May 21st, 2010 Ottawa, Ontario, Canadia To open the show, SES saves 3 men from the crowd. Rey comes out and shows photoshopped bald pictures of Punk and leaves. Really cliche and boring segment from a feud that's been really awesome. Match #1: LayCool vs. Kelly Kelly/Tiffany Only two minutes, so not much. LayCool wins. 3/4* In the back, Show does a mockery of Swagger and says DID YOU KNOW, he KO'd Swagger. Match #2: JTG vs. Caylen Croft Acceptable JTG showcase. Shout Out ends it. *3/4 In the back, Vickie tells Christian that she wants to the guest on The Peep Show tonight, but he says he actually wants people to watch the show. HE says his guest tonight is someone he's never seen eye to eye with. Match #3: The Gatecrashers vs. Jobbers Hawkins and Archer are the Gatecrashers. They are better than the sum of their parts. Good squash. *1/2 In the back, The Big Show says he Chokeslammed Jack Swagger through an announce table. Kofi/Drew for the IC Title is made for Over The Limit. Match #4: Jack Swagger vs. Kofi Kingston Nothing special. They have a generic match and neither really does anything good. Kofi has some painfully bad looking stuff too. Big Show comes out to distract Jack and Kofi hits the Trouble in Paradise for the win. ** featured an in-ring segment of the Peep Show with Hornswoggle as the guest in which he taught him to speak Canadian with the words eh, hoser, hockey, and beer; Vickie soon interrupted, alongside Chavo Guerrero Jr., and said she was shutting down the show and that Christian was teaching Hornswoggle about the most useless country in the world; Christian replied by getting Hornswoggle to chant "moose;" Chavo then went to climb in the ring, with Dolph Ziggler then jumping Christian from behind and Chavo following with the frog splash Match #5: CM Punk/Luke Gallows w/ Serena vs. Rey Mysterio/MVP This was quality stuff. The SES control seg on MVP was once again really awesome. Lots of awesome body blows by Punk and Gallows. Rey had an awesome hot tag and all his offense looked really awesome. Great finishing run opposite Punk and Rey took a ridiculously great bump for the Flying Clothesline. Rey fights off the masked SES guy and gets a Snap Rana into a pin to win. *** Really weird booking with the Smackdowns before Extreme Rules and OTL, where it seems like Rey should win before the loss at ER and Punk should win here, but it's reversed so each man gets two falls in a row. The feud isn't as much of an outright burial as I thought at the time, but it's still based on Rey being a better wrestler than Punk, and not with them as legitimate equals, which would have made it better. Which is why Rey/Jericho was a better feud than Punk/Rey. In the back, Drew said Matt Hardy and Teddeh Lawng deserved what they got, and he deserves to be the chosen one. Hype for Cena/Batista. Match #6: The Big Show vs. Drew McIntyre Only 3 minutes and ends when Swagger runs out to attack Show. *1/2 Swagger attacks his hand and gets a chair, but Show punches it out of his hands and Swagger bails. |

WWE Champion: John Cena, Since 3/28/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Jack Swagger, Since 4/2/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: Bret Hart, Since 5/17/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Drew McIntyre, Since 12/13/2009 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 4/12/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 ![]() WWE Over The Limit 2010 May 23rd, 2010 Detroit, MI Match #1: Drew McIntyre [c] vs. Kofi Kingston [WWE Intercontinental Championship] Only 6 minutes, but a fine 6 minutes on Drew's end. Kofi's selling of the midsection that Drew worked on was total horse shit, and his offense was even more contrived and botchy than usual. And yet, he wins the title with the SOS. Awful. **1/2 Drew gets on the mic and demands that TEDDEH reverses the decision. Instead, Matt Hardy comes out and attacks him with the Twist of Fate. In the back, Punk talks to Gallows and Serena about tonight and how he will save Rey Mysterio. Punk says he knows Gallows doesn't like Rey, but it's for, and I quote, THE GREATER GOOD. CUM. They then all hug. Match #2: R-Truth vs. Ted DiBiase w/ Virgil Thank god this is only 6 minutes. Ted is knocked out on his feet early on with a slap. Really hard slap, but still. What a bitch. Mediocre stuff from both guys and Truth wins with the Lie Detector. *3/4 In the back, Drew finds Teddy and demands he reverses the decision and fires Matt Hardy reight naw. He says no, so Drew trashes his office and he goes for the MLK picture. Long begs him not to and Drew says Teddy is spineless and he's more like that man than Teddy could ever be. Hype video for Punk/Rey. Match #3: CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio [Hair vs. SES Membership] This was amazing. WWE MOTY so far, clearly. This came off a lot better now than it did at the time, since at the time it felt like them cutting the feud short of the potential it had. Fantasy booking it, Rey has to join the SES and hates it, eventually costs Punk a big title match, and they end it with Mask vs. Hair or something. Anyways, this was still fucking great. Hot start, and Punk is busted hardway off a bump to the railing. He hurls Rey head-first into the barber chair and it looks absolutely devastating. They have to clean up Punk's cut, which sucks, but Rey was taken out right before it, so it's not like the match totally stops. And when Rey gets back in, Punk absolutely goes nuts on him with brutal stuff. Great control seg, and he worked on the head and neck, so there's no real no selling. Awesome finishing run, but it seemed like they cut it off RIGHT before it was starting to become epic and an all time classic. Punk avoids the Penguin Splash, but takes too long leaning back on a cover and Rey gets a crucifix pin to win. **** The SES comes out to attack Rey and Luke gets handcuffs. Kane comes out to save though and he lays them out. Punk is handcuffed to the ropes and Rey shaves his hair off. Match #4: The Hart Dynasty [c] w/ Natalya vs. Chris Jericho/The Miz [WWE Unified Tag Team Championship] Very average match. Never really clicks and the crowd is dead. Seemed like they lacked any real focus or direction and there wasn't a big long control seg or anything. Just them doing stuff for 10 minutes or so. The Miz is pinned after the Hart Attack. **1/4 Hype for Edge/Orton. Match #5: Edge vs. Randy Orton This was also mediocre, but Orton is a mediocre face and Edge sucks, so this is to be expected. They do some generic stuff that is far from great. Edge works the midsection, and Orton doesn't sell. Orton makes his comeback but then hurts his arm during his hilarious mat punching RKO set up thing. They struggle here and it goes to a double countout as an improvisation. ** Hype for Swagger/Show. Match #6: Jack Swagger [c] vs. The Big Show [World Heavyweight Championship] Only 5 minutes, so not really time for this to be bad, but not time for it to be good either. Them doing a lot of matwork was entertaining as fuck. Swagger can't get anything going, so he hits Show with the title belt to cause a DQ. **1/4 He brings in a chair and tries to use it too, but Show Chokeslams him. He hits him with the chair and then Chokeslams him on the chair. He waits for Jack to get up again, and he hits the KO Punch and leaves. Swagger is then helped to the back. In the back, Batista says he'll make John Cena scream that he quits and the whole world will hear it. Match #7: Eve [c] vs. Maryse [WWE Divas Championship] This was no good. They got 5 minutes now and still failed to do anything substantial. Maryse was hot as shit though. Eve wins with the fucking Billy Kidman KIDBUSTER move. 3/4* Hype for the main event. Match #8: John Cena [c] vs. Batista [WWE Championship - "I Quit" Match] Another real good match, but the least of their 2010 matches. Seems like they worked it more as a LMS type match with huge spots, but it worked in a weird way. Cena got busted open bad and it added a ton to it for the bit it lasted, and then they fucking cleaned him up. God damn you. There was this really stupid spot where Batista tried to back a car into Cena on the stage. Cena got Batista up for an FU off the car to the stage, and Batista quits. *** Cena does it anyways and Batista goes through the stages. Cena celebrates, BUT SHEAMUS LAYS HIM OUT WITH THE BROGUE KICK! FUCK YEAH SHEAMUS! |

WWE Champion: John Cena, Since 3/28/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Jack Swagger, Since 4/2/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: Bret Hart, Since 5/17/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 4/12/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Raw May 24th, 2010 Toledo, OH Batista is in a wheelchair in the ring to start the show and has his arm in a sling. SPOTLIGHT. PLEASE. He says he quit under a threat to his life and he could be out for weeks, months, or even years, but he promised to return to get his revenge on John Cena. He says he may file charges against Cena, the WWE, and the WWE Universe for supporting what happened to him. Bret Hart then comes out and says he is the new GM of Raw. He explains the Fatal Four Way qualifying matches tonight and says if Batista wants in that WWE Title match, he can beat Orton in a qualifying match tonight. He says he's hurt and can't compete and he can't make him. Bret said he wanted Cena and he can take it or forfeit. Batista threatens to quit so Bret announces Orton as the winner AND BATISTA QUIT! ![]() Match #1: Sheamus vs. Mark Henry [Fatal Four Way Qualifier] Good 4 minutes. MOK sells his bad arm really really well. The shoulder wouldn't let him hold Sheamus up for a slam, and Sheamus then hit the Brogue Kick to win. **1/4 TONIGHT: Miz/Truth for the vacant US Title Jon Lovitz meets Maryse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtLwc6FjEOA In the back, Edge wants a title shot. Bret says he can give him a qualifying match. Jericho wants the same thing, so Bret books Jericho/Edge/Cena, and if one of them wins, they're in. If Cena wins, neither is in. Match #2: Maryse/Alicia Fox vs. Eve/Gail Kim 2 minute nothing match. Maryse beats Eve with the French Kiss DDT. 3/4* Match #3: The Miz vs. R-Truth [WWE U.S. Championship] This is not good. They don't mesh well together at all. Truth wins the belt in an upset with the Lie Detector. ** John Cena cuts a John Cena promo. Jon Lovitz hosts an amazing talent show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TIVYLjsEoY Match #4: The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya vs. William Regal/Vladimir Kozlov Regal ruled in this for the 90 seconds it lasted. The champs then win.*1/2 The Usos then come out for their debut and beat them down. In the back, Josh talks to all the NXT rookies and asks who they think should go. Wade and Otunga and Gabriel say Slater, and Slater says Otunga. At ringside, Cole says he's going to demand an apology from Daniel Bryan tomorrow night. In the back, Jericho and Edge have the "take Cena out and fight themselves" talk. Match #5: John Cena vs. Edge vs. Chris Jericho [Fatal Four Way Qualifying Match] They do some of their stuff and it's generally whatever for 10 minutes. All these pairings have been totally done into the ground by now and they're hardly giving it their all. Edge beats Jericho with the Spear to win. ** |

WWE Champion: John Cena, Since 3/28/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Jack Swagger, Since 4/2/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: R-Truth, Since 5/24/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 4/12/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE NXT May 25th, 2010 Cleveland, OH featured an opening in-ring segment in which Matt Striker introduced Chris Jericho, Mike Mizanin, Matt Hardy, William Regal, Christian, and WWE US Champion R-Truth who sat at the entrance stage for the show (CM Punk was introduced but Striker then said he would not appear due to the events of Over the Limit); Striker then brought out Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, David Otunga, and Heath Slater and asked each rookie who they thought should be eliminated next, with Barrett picking Slater, Gabriel picking Otunga, Otunga picking Gabriel, and Slater picking Barrett; Striker then announced the rookies would team with their pros as part of the show Match #1: Christian/Heath Slater vs. R-Truth/David Otunga Slater and Christian and R-Truth all looked good. Slater obviously not on the level of the other two, but still good. Otunga was total dogshit once again though. Horribly, Otunga rolls through a Crossbody from Slater into a cover with the tights to win. ** AMAZING Cole/Miz/Bryan segment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCByjANl75k Match #2: Wade Barrett vs. Justin Gabriel Good 3 minutes. Focus was on Gabriel's big offense, which he hit very well. He wins with the 450 Splash. ** Striker has all four in the ring to end the show. They do the poll, and Slater is last and he is gone. WWE Champion: John Cena, Since 3/28/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Jack Swagger, Since 4/2/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: R-Truth, Since 5/24/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 4/12/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Smackdown May 28th, 2010 Cleveland, OH included an opening in-ring promo by Teddy Long in which he spoke of Fatal 4 Way, said the Big Show qualified for a spot in the World Heavyweight Title match by virtue of beating World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger via disqualification at Over the Limit, and that CM Punk would face Kane and the Undertaker would face Rey Mysterio Jr. in qualifying matches later in the show; moments later, McIntyre interrupted, protested that he shouldn't have lost the IC title at the pay-per-view, and that Long couldn't do his job right; Long replied by mentioning Matt Hardy, with McIntyre then handing Long a note from Vince McMahon which read Hardy had been suspended without pay as a result of his actions at Over the Limit; McIntyre then told Long that if he didn't start doing his job then the next letter Long would read would inform him of his termination; as Long prepared to go backstage, Hardy came out but was held back by Long and security, with McIntyre then taking the mic and telling Hardy he was the reason he was suspended Match #1: The Big Show/Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger/Drew McIntyre They got 10 minutes to work, so this was good. Swagger kept running away from Show, and that was the story. They had a good control segment on Kofi, and Show got back in for the hot tag. Swagger refused to get in, and he beat Drew with the KO Punch. **1/2 In the back, Punk talks to Luke and Serena and the camera shot is from behind with his head under a towel. He says he's not afraid of what the people think and he has courage unlike them. In the back, Vickie talks to Ziggler. She thanks him for last week and he says it was nothing. She gets up close and hits on him and talks about her position of power. He thinks about and goes with it and talks about how he respects her and shit. She books him and Chavo vs. Christian and Hornswoggle. She says there's more where that came from. Punk comes out for his match with a towel on his head. He takes it off to reveal a black SES mask! AWESOME! Match #2: CM Punk w/ SES vs. Kane [Fatal Four Way Qualifying Match] Kane wasn't really trying, so Punk did the best he could. After interference, Punk wins with the GTS. **1/2 TONIGHT: Taker vs. Rey in the final qualifying match Match #3: Christian/Hornswoggle vs. Dolph Ziggler/Chavo Guerrero w/ Vickie Guerrero When Christian is in, this is good. Christian beats Chavo with the Killswitch. **1/4 Post-match, Ziggler takes Christian out with the Sleeper. NEXT WEEK: Kofi/Drew for the IC Title Match #4: Luke Gallows w/ Serena vs. MVP Good 4 minutes, since MVP gave a shit for the first time in some time. Good slugfest type match. The masked SES guy comes from under the ring to DDT MVP behind the ref's back, and Luke wins with The 12th Step. **1/4 RAW REBOUND! Match #5: The Undertaker vs. Rey Mysterio [Fatal 4 Way Qualifying Match Unsurprisingly, this is awesome. Only 7-8 minutes, so it's not as great as the Rumble match, but it's still really great. Rey bumps like a lunatic and does all his stuff really well. Awesome big/little spots and entirely different ones than at Rumble. Rey broke out his amazing Asai Moonsault. Taker gets an injured orbital bone after he hits Rey's knee brace. Rey got a ton of shit for this, but it's basically people looking for a reason to hate him doing it, since they wrestled twice before without anything bad happening, so it's just a freak botch. Taker catches Rey by the throat to block the Penguin Splash and hits the Tombstone to win. *** |

WWE Champion: John Cena, Since 3/28/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Jack Swagger, Since 4/2/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: R-Truth, Since 5/24/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 4/12/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Raw May 31st, 2010 Austin, TX Opening the show, Edge was beating down on Evan Bourne in the ring. Bourne tried to make a comeback and looked great, but Edge cut him off with the Spear after he missed Air Bourne. Edge got on the mic and said this is what he's going to do at Fatal Four Way to Cena, Orton, and Sheamus. Orton came out and Edge said his arm was hurt after Over The Limit, and he would put him back on the shelf, so Orton hits him with the RKO. TONIGHT: Cena/Orton vs. Sheamus/Edge In the back, Ashton Kutcher, the guest host, talks to Eve. He says apparently Zack Ryder insulted him on Twitter. He puts a hit out on Ryder to promote his movie about spies. Miz comes in and is a dick, and Ashton books him vs. Daniel Bryan, under a one night contract, tonight! Match #1: Chris Jericho vs. R-Truth Just like on SD, this is 5 minutes that is neither good nor interesting. They try to do fancy spots and they all look really contrived. Truth wins with a roll up and Jericho is upset. *3/4 In the back, Bret tells the Hart Dynasty that it was the Usos who attacked them last week. He says they need a little adversity and the Usos want to make a statement and they need to do something about it. A Santino/Eve vs. Regal/Maryse match is set and Santino again tries to get Kozlov to be his partner and says Eve will make love to him if he does. She says no. Match #2: Santino Marella/Eve vs. William Regal/Maryse w/ Vladimir Kozlov Huge waste of Regal. They do stuff for 2 minutes and Kozlov hits Regal with the Uranage behind the ref's back. Santino covers to win. 3/4* Kozlov then walks to the back alone. featured an in-ring segment with Hart in which he said he had met with Teddy Long and all the Raw and Smackdown stars would be on hand for the following week's 3-hour episode; Hart then solicited ideas from the fans and wrestlers about what to do for the following week's program; moments later, Ted Dibiase Jr. & Virgil came out with Dibiase saying they should give him full control of the show and offered to buy him off; Kutcher then appeared on the big screen and said the fans should pick the matches and stipulations for the next week's show, with Hart agreeing and making it official; Vince McMahon then appeared and said Hart looked 10 years older since WrestleMania, with Hart noting he hit McMahon 18 times with a chair at Mania; McMahon continued by saying Hart would have to make some hard decisions at some point and that they won't always be popular; McMahon then wished Hart luck in the role and hoped his story would have a happy ending In the back, Ryder and Alicia try to figure out who's going for the hit. He asks Orton and Orton says if he wanted it, Ryder would be out by now. They walk off, and Edge comes out of a room and attacks Orton's arm and leaves him laying. Match #3: The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan Awesome 2 minutes. Bryan brings out the absolute best in The Miz. Which is shocking SINCE HE'S SUCH A NERD! HE DOESN'T EVEN OWN A TELEVISION SET! Miz's control seg rules and he really lays in his shots. Daniel gets him into the LeBell Lock, but Miz rolls him on his back BUT DANIELSON GETS A CRUCIFIX PIN FOR THE WIN! FUCK YEAH! ** Miz attacks him post-match, and he takes him to the floor. He beats him on him and yells to apologize to Cole, BUT DANIEL FIGHTS BACK AND HE HURLS MIZ OVER THE TABLE AND INTO MICHAEL COLE! OH MY GOD YES! featured an in-ring promo by Jay & Jimmy Uso and Tamina, during which the Usos said they were related to the Wild Samoans and Tamina was the daughter of Jimmy Snuka; the three then said the WWE Universe respected the Harts but not their own legendary wrestling family; Natalya, Smith, & Kidd ran out and attempted to hit the Hart Attack but were all laid out by the Usos & Tamina; moments later, the Harts sustained triple splashes off the top Zack Ryder and Alicia come out and he says this is unfair and he wants to know who it is. Ashton is on the screen and says he'll tell him. Lawler comes in with a chair, but he just sits down. Kutcher says it's not Lawler, and The Great Khali comes out. He says it's not Khali either, and Fox says she's tired of the jokes. She throws the mic down and he goes to get it, BUT SHE GETS RYDER WITH DAT SCISSORS KICK! Edge and Sheamus come out for the main event. Cena comes out and since Orton is hurt, he brings out Evan Bourne! Match #4: John Cena/Evan Bourne vs. Edge/Sheamus THIS RULED. Totally Bourne's match to shine, and holy shit, he did. He carried Edge through some matwork to start and then got isolated. He was a really incredible face in peril. Ridiculously huge bumps, leaned into everyone's stuff to make it brutal, etc. The crowd started to get REALLY fucking hot for this once Bourne got rolling with stuff. Sheamus/Bourne was fantastic again. Cena did a great job working the apron and had a fantastic hot tag after some real good hope spots. He hits Sheamus with the FU and dodges a Spear from Edge, AND BOURNE GETS THE TAG AND THE AIR BOURNE TO WIN! FUCK YEAH! ***1/2 |

He says an investigation will take place to see who did it, and there's a battle royal tonight to see who takes his place. Druids bring a casket out to ringside and Kane then comes out. A podium is in the ring, and he says his brother, the most feared and respected force in the history of the WWE, will likely no longer walk among them, and an act of cowardice has extinguished his brilliance. He says he will find those who did this atrocity, and they will be sent straight to Hell. THERE WILL BE VENGEANCE! He throws the podium out and does Taker's pose in tribute. He breaks down in front of the casket and says he should have been there. Awesome promo. Match #1: Jack Swagger vs. MVP Swagger came out in an Oklahoma jersey to huge heat. This is their best match together, and far better than their Raw stuff. Swagger gets to do matwork and MVP is trying. He has tight matwork, all his strikes look really good, and he even breaks out a good Plancha. This MVP should have shown up on Raw. Swagger wins with the Doctor Bomb. **3/4 Post-match, Hawkins and Archer come out to attack MVP. NXT recap. In the back, Kane chokes Punk and demands to know if he did it. Punk says they didn't, so he throws him away. Match #2: Kofi Kingston [c] vs. Drew McIntyre [WWE Intercontinental Championship] They had 10 minutes now, so Drew got to do more, but Kofi held him back. Matt Hardy comes out with a front row ticket. Drew gas good back work, but Kofi has no interest in selling any of it. Kofi wins with the SOS. BOOOOOOO **1/2 Matt Hardy hops the rail and hits the Twist of Fate, before running off through the crowd. In the back, Kane talks to Rey and accuses him after Taker beat him last week. Rey says he had nothing to do with it, and Kane says everyone is guilty. In the back, Swagger makes everyone sing the Oklahoma Sooners fight song. It makes everyone want JR. Match #3: Kelly Kelly vs. Rosa Mendes This is absolutely horrible. K2 wins. 1/4* In the back, Kane talks to Big Show and says Taker and he have fought a lot and asks him. Show says he didn't do it and warns him not to make a mistake and accuse him. Match #4: Fatal Four Way Qualifying Battle Royal There's some good stuff in this, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, FINLAY REAPPEARS IN THIS! He gets time to do stuff and is amazing, walking around and stiffing the shit out of guys. The usual suspects also deliver. Rey wins when he takes Kane over the top with a Rana. **1/2 |

Match #1: Chris Jericho vs. The Big Show [Body Slam Challenge] What the fuck do you think happen? Show won with a slam. 1/2* In the back, the Usos cut a promo about how if they get chosen to fight the Hart Dynasty, they'll lay them out three weeks in a row. The fans vote between the Usos, the Dudebusters, and Khali/Hornswoggle. Of fucking course, Khali/Hornswoggle win. Fuck you, WWE Universe. Match #2: The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya vs. The Great Khali/Hornswoggle This is about a minute of nothing. Swoggle misses the Tadpole Splash and Kidd covers to win. FUCK The Usos then run out, but now the Harts fight them off and they leave. Jerry Lawler randomly says something isn't right, and he walks off. Alright then. A recap airs of all the Undertaker stuff. The guest hosts, the stars of The A-Team movie, come out, except only Bradley Cooper comes out. He wishes everyone a great show, and then fucking leaves. In the back, Lawler asks the A-Team to help him find his crown that's gone missing. BA says he thinks he knows who did it. Santino and Vlad have the most amazing dance-off: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se018DwPaqA The fans vote for a Diva battle royal over the options of trios match and Layla vs. Eve. Match #3: Divas Battle Royal Michelle wins. Short and cluttered and not really any good at all THIS FUCKING SHOW In the back, Kane asks if Sheamus took out Taker like he took out Triple H. He says if he took out The Undertaker, he'd be bragging about it like when he took out Triple H. Kane gets voted to face Sheamus instead of MOK or Bourne. Match #4: Sheamus vs. Kane This is finally a real match, but it's not good. They do not mesh well at all. After the Chokeslam, Sheamus rolls out and takes the count out. *3/4 VOTE FOR CENA'S OPPONENT: REY, PUNK, OR SWAGGER Recap of NXT Season 1. In the back, Wade is interviewed. He says the winds of change start tonight, and he would accomplish something that has never been accomplished before. In the back, the A Team talks to Ted Jr. and Virgil. He says he can buy anything and he doesn't want the crown. They threaten them, and UNCLE IRWIN R. SCHYSTER comes over with the crown on. He says Lawler never paid back taxes on the crown's jewels, so it's his. They try to claim they're the FBI, but Ted says he knows they're the A Team and this was a trap. They then all get gassed. What the fuck? This is both amazing and horrible. Truth and Miz's tag partners get chosen as Ryder and Morrison. Match #5: John Morrison/R-Truth vs. The Miz/Zack Ryder Good 3 minutes. Miz beats Morrison with the Skull Crushing Finale. ** In the back, Kane asks Bret if he did it. He says no. Match #6: Randy Orton vs. Edge [Edge Has One Arm Tied Behind His Back] This is a minute of bullshit. Edge got DQ'd for refusing to stop kicking Orton in the corner after 90 seconds. FUCK YOU Edge frees his arm and beats on Orton's arm with a chair. In the back, Cena is asked about the match tonight. He sucks up and says the WWE Universe is capable of choosing. Fuck you, why aren't you mad about not knowing who your opponent is? There's a line between happy babyface and fucking pandering idiot. In the back, A-Team Murdoch wakes up in the locker room. MEAN GENE ASKS THEM WHAT HAPPENED! He's looking for BA and Gene says the door is locked. Matt Hardy is chosen as Drew's opponent Drew says he's suspended, but T'Lo says he's only suspended from Smackdown. Match #7: Drew McIntyre vs. Matt Hardy This is 90 seconds and Matt wins with the Twist of Fate. God damnit. * They keep fighting. This show is so goddamn terrible. At this point, this feels like the worst Raw of all time. In the back, BA is in a different room and tied to a chair. Ted Jr, Virgil, and IRS want answers and they're going to the ring. A-Team segment's epic finish: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JX-G9FxrfI CM Punk wins the voting to face Cena! Nice! Match #8: John Cena vs. CM Punk This is real good and all, but this ending is not about the match AT ALL. And knowing such, they have a really good match but don't turn it on. You can tell because every other match they've had that got 5+ minutes was an absolute killer match. The match now stops... **1/2 ![]() ![]() TARVER HOPS THE RAILING, AND SO DO ALL THE OTHER NXT ROOKIES! THEY BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF PUNK AND GALLOWS! ![]() ![]() Wade nods, and they all get in. Otunga punches out the ref and they attack Cena! Really amazing beating, everyone is scrambling and laying shit in hard. Otunga, Gabriel, Slater, Young, and Skip go to the floor AND SKIP KICKS STRIKER IN THE FACE! SLATER AND GABRIEL ATTACK LAWLER, AND COLE FLEES! They throw the chairs away and Skip knocks over the announce table. Darren Young pull over the timekeeper barricades and he punches the timekeeper out. Security finally tries to do something now and they attack them too. The others join in and attack Justin Robers. DANIELSON PULLS OFF HIS TIE AND GOES NUTS! ![]() Tarver and Wade tear off the apron covers and undo the ring ropes and they just leave them on the mat. They start to pull off the actual mat near the edges too AND TARVER CHOKES CENA WITH THE ROPE! They leave to wreck more shit at ringside and they all get in with Cena. Otunga hits his Spinebuster and Young and Tarver hit a double clothesline. Skip wants one and gets ready, BUT CM PUNK IS BACK IN AND TRIES TO FIGHT THEM! FUCK YEAH! They gang up on him too and he gets thrown out. MASSIVE FUCKING LARIAT FROM SKIP TO CENA! Cena struggles to get to his knees, AND DANIELSON YELLS "YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN ME!" ![]() Wade hits the Wasteland, and Gabriel finishes with the 450 Splash. They leave now with Cena down and everything destroyed. Medics come down and stretcher Cena out. ![]() Shame they fucked up the aftermath by the fall, but this stands as one of the best singular angles WWE has ever done. |

WWE Champion: John Cena, Since 3/28/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Jack Swagger, Since 4/2/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: R-Truth, Since 5/24/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 4/12/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE NXT June 8th, 2010 Tampa, FL included an in-ring segment with Matt Striker in which he spoke about the previous night's incident before introducing the new pros; moments later, Mike Mizanin came out and brought out his new rookie Alex Riley; John Morrison followed, introducing Eli Cottonwood; Cody Rhodes then appeared, bringing out Husky Harris; WWE co-Women's Champions Michelle McCool & Layla followed, who brought out Kaval and had him carry their title belts to the ring; Mark Henry then brought out Lucky Cannon; WWE IC Champion Kofi Kingston then came out, introducing Michael McGillicutty; MVP followed, bringing out Percy Watson; Zack Ryder then came out, introducing Titus O'Neil; with all the pros and rookies in the ring, with Striker saying the pros would help judge the rookies along with input from the WWE Universe via a poll on WWE.com; Striker then said season 2 would last 12 weeks, the first pros poll would take place in 3 weeks, and the first elimination in 6 weeks; Harris then tried to talk on the mic which led to a brief face off between all the rookies The pros stay on the stage for matches. Match #1: John Morrison/Eli Cottonwood vs. Zack Ryder/Titus O'Neil Morrison/Ryder was acceptable. Eli is absolutely hideous and Titus is not great. Morrison beats Titus with the Starship Pain. *3/4 Striker interviews Morrison in the ring and asks about Eli. Morrison says he held his own, and Striker asks The Miz. He says he was not impressed by what they delivered in the ring. He says he didn't learn anything about them from their ring work, which is a bit of the pot calling the kettle black. Cole has started with Miz worship now. A video airs on Alex Riley. He comes across super well on this in terms of mic skills. Match #2: Cody Rhodes/Husky Harris vs. MVP/Percy Watson Husky and Cody are fantastic. Percy was average, so he didn't do anything actually bad. Husky ABUSES THAT FAT. He has a great Back Senton. Percy beats Husky with some manner of spinning DDT thing. ** Striker gets in and asks MVP about it. He says Percy is ready for prime time. A video airs on Michael McGillicutty. He is handed an opportunity to rub in his heritage when they ask him to describe himself in one word. He goes with "ruthless" instead of "perfect". God fucking damnit. Dude was good in FCW and improving, but once he got in TV, he just sucked. They reair the end of Raw last week. Striker has all the rookies and pros in the ring and asks for their thoughts. Kaval says they're told to make a statement and that's what happened. Lucky has nothing good to say. The other rookies are dicks to him. OH YEAH! But then Titus gives us this gem and forever cements himself in my good graces: "You want to fight, make it a fight. You want to win? Make it a win!" The pros welcome them to the WWE by beating the shit out of them as a message. That seems like it would result in the same thing happening in 3 months. |

WWE Champion: John Cena, Since 3/28/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Jack Swagger, Since 4/2/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: R-Truth, Since 5/24/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 4/12/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Smackdown June 11th, 2010 Tampa, FL Swear to God, I started watching this last night before I went to sleep and I come back to it now, and have x'd out of it at some point and cannot find this. Opening seg was Rey, Swagger, Punk, and Show doing micwork. The highlight of which was Punk saying he survived an assassination attempt from 36 armed men on Raw. Match #1: Jack Swagger vs. Rey Mysterio Really really good and almost great. Swagger has his best performance since he was on ECW here. Awesome bumping for Rey's stuff and his control seg was really great. Rey was on point with all his stuff as usual, but he's back in his non-peak mode (as in not 2002, 2005-6, or 2009-mid 10), which means he still hits all his spots real well but has given up trying to sell. That being said, there wasn't any egregious no-selling, as it was more him just stringing together a 30 second combo of offense to win after Swagger dominated, so I didn't have a huge issue with it. Rey hits the 619 and Dropping the Dime to win. *** Post-match, Kane comes out and kills them both. Before the next match, LayCool brings REAL TALK! They talk about the crowd being smelly and gross, except for Michelle's parents who are FLAWLESS! <3 LayCool. Match #2: Layla w/ Michelle McCool & Kaval vs. Tiffany w/ Kelly Kelly About a minute of not much. Layla wins. 1/2* The Nexus attack is reaired. Match #3: Christian vs. Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero Ugh. They had 8 minutes, but it got butchered by a commercial to get 5. This is not the match you trim 3 minutes off of. Fuck you. Lots of great counters and stuff, but that's all there was. Christian gets his sunset flip to win. **3/4 The Gatecrashers come out and lay out Christian, and then Ziggler puts on the Sleeper to win. In the back, Kane talks to the casket and swears vengeance. featured an in-ring segment in which Drew McIntyre called for Teddy Long to appear; after Long appeared, McIntyre told him not to speak and instead watch the big screen as footage was shown of Matt Hardy attacking him the previous week on Smackdown and then Hardy beating McIntyre on Raw, pulling out some of his hair in the process; McIntyre then repeatedly cut off Long from speaking, then saying - per Vince McMahon - Hardy was now suspended from all WWE programming; as Long went to reply, McIntyre took his mic away and threw it to the floor before backing Long into the corner; McIntyre then prepared to tell Long something until WWE IC Champion Kofi Kingston interrupted, saying everyone in the arena was sick of McIntyre's constant complaining; moments later, the two began brawling until Kingston knocked McIntyre onto the apron and then hit the spin kick to the face, sending him to the floor In the back, Drew tells Teddeh that next week, they have a match, and if he doesn't show up, he's fired. Match #4: CM Punk w/ SES vs. The Big Show Acceptable 5 minutes or so. Mostly Punk sticking and moving and then bumping, but it worked. The masked SES guy came out to attack for the DQ. **1/4 Kane comes out too and Punk and Serena flee. Both Gallows and the masked man get Chokeslams. Big Show gets up, and he also gets a Chokeslam. |

WWE Champion: John Cena, Since 3/28/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Jack Swagger, Since 4/2/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: R-Truth, Since 5/24/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 4/12/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Raw June 14th, 2010 Charlotte, NC Wade Barrett is in the ring to open the show and says Bret Hart asked him to come out and apologize. Instead, he introduces Slater, Gabriel, Skip, Otunga, Tarver, and Young, and they come out from the crowd. Danielson is not there, as he got fired for choking with a tie. They all get in and Cole and Lawler leave. They each individually refuse to apologize and Otunga says they deserve an apology. Wade says they were treated like dirt and like animals on NXT, and when you treat people like animals, they will behave like animals. He says management changed the rules at a moments notice to eliminate them on a whim, and tried to make a joke out of all of them. He says nobody laughed after Raw last week, and Bret Hart comes out and talks about what they did. Wade says they had another member, Daniel Bryan, who felt regret and remorse for last week, and that's why you'll never see him again. Bret says Cena WILL defend the WWE Title this Sunday, and Barrett says this has NOTHING to do with John Cena, and this is between them and WWE management. Truth be told, they don't have a problem with the WWE locker room, aside from some of the NXT Pros. Wade says he wants contract for the other six men here and says this is an easy decision. Bret refuses, and then strips Wade of his title shot and fires him! He tells them to get out of the arena now, before he calls the police. Coming back from break, Cole and Lawler have come back to the announce table. Match #1: R-Truth [c] vs. The Miz vs. John Morrison vs. Zack Ryder [WWE U.S. Championship] Good four way to get across the idea of unpredictability in these matches for the PPV. Some good spots, but nothing overly great. Morrison ranged from very good to horrible. Morrison hits Truth with the Starship Pain, but Miz throws him out and steals the pin to regain the title. **1/2 This raises a question of why Miz ever lost the belt. TONIGHT: Orton vs. Sheamus In the back, Royal Pains guy hits on the Bellas and Ted Jr. and Virgil come on to be awful. He tries to buy the guest host spot, but Big Show comes up behind him, leading to Guest Host Jew doing awful stuff. Show books Show/Jew vs. Ted/Virgil. Match #2: Chris Jericho vs. Evan Bourne Only about 3 minutes or so and all Jericho offense, so nothing really good at this point. Bourne kicks out of the Codebreaker, greatly annoying Jericho and he gets DQ'd for choking on the ropes. *3/4 Bourne fights back and he hits Jericho with Air Bourne. John Cena comes out, and he gets on the mic and thanks Bret for not caving into terrorist demands. He says he won't press charges because he knows he's a target as the WWE Champion and as John Cena. The NXT guys then come out of the crowd, but the WWE midcard runs out to save! THEY BRAWL, AND EDGE, ORTON, AND SHEAMUS UNITE TO FIGHT THEM OFF! They run off to the back, and the WWE roster chases them. They easily outrun MOK in a hilarious moment and get away. Match #3: Eve/Gail Kim vs. Maryse/Alcia Fox Nothing much here and short. Faces win. 1/2* TONIGHT: Cena/Orton vs. Edge/Sheamus. Well okay then. Match #4: The Big Show/Mark Feuerstein vs. Ted DiBiase/Virgil 3 minutes of truly nothing. Show Chokeslams Virgil and Mark hits the Worm to win. 45/poop Post-match, Ted stuffs a dollar bill in Virgil's mouth. He then takes it back and leaves. Match #5: William Regal vs. Santino Marella [Special Referee: Vladimir Kozlov] This is like a minute. Fuck you. Santino wins with a schoolboy and the tights. 3/4* Bret Hart comes out and tells them to stand with the rest of the Raw roster on the stage for the main event to keep the invaders out. Match #6: John Cena/Randy Orton vs. Sheamus/Edge I'm glad they're giving tag main events more time now, but holy shit, this is not a match that needed 15 minutes. Edge and Orton weren't really good and there's only so long I can watch Sheamus/Orton and Sheamus/Cena before it gets all same-y and boring. Some of it was good, but most of it was mediocre. The lights go out and then the match is just sort of over. ** In the back, the NXT guys attack Bret Hart. They shut him in a limo and a driver backs the limo into a bunch of stuff several times. Wade then pulls Bret out of the limo and they say they want an answer by Sunday. |

WWE Champion: John Cena, Since 3/28/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Jack Swagger, Since 4/2/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 4/12/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE NXT June 15th, 2010 Raleigh, NC featured an opening in-ring segment in which Matt Striker introduced the rookies and pros; moments later, MVP took the mic and explained why the pros attacked the rookies the previous week, saying they weren't just going to hand them a job and that they did - fair or not - have to pay for the actions of the season 1 rookies; MVP then questioned whether the rookies could move past it, with the rookies agreeing and then shaking the hands of their pros; Striker then announced Kaval would face Alex Riley later in the show Match #1: Kaval vs. Alex Riley Absolutely a showcase for Ki. He does all his fancy kicks and shit and carries the very green A-Ri. He is generally alright but really doesn't do anything well. But here, he has to do basic stuff and Ki will take big bumps, sell well, and make some awesome fiery comebacks. And then horribly, he jobs to A-Ri's shitty TKO. **1/2 Striker interviews A-Ri. He says Miz is off celebrating his title win, and he had this on his own. He interviews LayCool and they say they're not used to losing but REAL TALK, it was his first match and with their guidance, he will be FLAWLESS. He asks Morrison and he stumbles his way through saying they were both good. Zack hits on the new ring announcer. <3. Striker asks Cole and Josh and they say they liked Zack the best. A video airs on Eli Cottonwood. RAW REBOUND! Clips air from earlier today. Ryder went up to Titus and said they both have tempers, but he has to learn to respect everybody and control himself. Titus says he understands and Ryder says he's got his back because he's his bro now. They fist bump and Titus says to make it a win. AMAZING! A video airs on Husky Harris. Match #2: Kofi Kingston/Michael McGillicutty vs. Mark Henry/Lucky Cannon Lucky is the WORST. MOK was good here, but hardly in. Kofi and Joe were both hit and miss. Joe hits Lucky with that one-armed Swinging Neckbreaker thing that AJ Styles used to do in his early days, except without the insane snap on it that AJ did, so it's just kind of a move. *3/4 Striker asks for the Pros' opinions on the stage. Cody says Lucky has no substance, so MOK challenges him to fight Lucky next week and he accepts. Striker asks what Lucky can expect, AND CODY THROWS MATT OFF THE STAGE! FUCK YEAH! |

WWE Champion: John Cena, Since 3/28/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Jack Swagger, Since 4/2/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 4/12/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Smackdown June 18th, 2010 Raleigh, NC TONIGHT: Show/Rey vs. Punk/Swagger, Drew vs. Teddeh CM Punk comes out to open the show and says he wins his 4th World Championship, and then says he wishes he took out The Undertaker. He says the WWE Universe is better for not having The Undertaker in it to fill their heads with lies and cheap magic tricks. The lights go out and they come back on. THE UNDERTAKER IS BA -- nope, it's Luke Gallows, and they laugh. Kane comes out to kill them, but Jack Swagger comes out behind Kane. They all beat on him until Rey and Show run out to save. Match #1: Christian/MVP vs. The Gatecrashers This is a waste of Christian. Everyone but Archer is fine enough, but this is average on the whole due to how much Archer was in it. Inexplicably, Christian is the one who gets beat after a Reverse DDT from Archer and a good Flying Elbow from Hawkins. **1/4 In the back, Rosa wants to join LayCool, but they shit on her in amazing fashion and ask if Joker knows she stole his make up. FLAWLESS! In the back, Vickie has Ziggler dressed in short shorts and a tool belt to hang a picture in her office, and she keeps staring at his ass. Match #2: JTG vs. Chavo Guerrero This was what it was. JTG showcase. *1/2 In the back, Josh tells Kofi that he has a title match vs. Drew at the PPV now. Kofi says some stuff that I don't remember and is mad about the Drew/Teddeh match tonight. Drew McIntyre comes out for the match. Teddy Long doesn't come out until the second time his music plays and is not happy with this. When he gets out, Drew says he's going to tear him apart, but he has some things to take care of first, Drew brings out his own personal security force to make sure nobody interferes in this or leaves. He has the ref check Teddy for foreign objects and dares him to hit him. It sounds like he's telling HAT ME so it's hilarious. He asks what kind of a man Teddeh is if he won't hat him. He says he can be fired if he wants but he knows how T'Lo's family depends on him. He says he might let him out if he does exactly what he tells him, AND HE MAKES HIM GET ON HIS KNEES! He makes him say that Drew McIntyre is the chosen one. He gets up and Drew says he never said he got to stand up and he makes him get down again. He makes him lay on his back in the middle of the ring. Match #3: Drew McIntyre vs. Theodore Long Drew takes his time and pins T'Lo with one foot. NO FORDEH DENT REP ME Drew sets up T'Lo for the Future Shock, but Kofi Kingston runs out! The security holds him back and Drew lands several awesome shots to him, BUT MATT HARDY RUNS FROM THE CROWD AND ATTACKS! Security holds him too and Drew hits the Future Shock on him. He then hits Kofi with it too. AMAZING segment, and everyone did their part perfectly. T'Lo was sympathetic, Matt and Kofi had a ton of fire, and Drew was just SUCH a prick about everything. Match #4: Layla vs. Kelly Kelly Tiffany and McCool are there. Layla looked good, but this had way too much K2 offense to be good. She wins with a roll up. 3/4* In the back, Jack Swagger dedicates his win this Sunday to his father, since it will be Father's Day. Match #5: Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. Chris Masters Real good 2-3 minute sprint. Not as great as their Superstars match, obviously, but it still ruled. Huge bumps from both guys. All their offense looked really crisp and fantastic. As far as 3 minute matches in 2010 go, this is second only to Goldust/Knox. Ziggler wins with the Peace Zig. **1/2 Match #6: Rey Mysterio/The Big Show vs. CM Punk/Jack Swagger w/ Luke Gallows Good 10 minute house show match. Punk vs. Rey delivered huge as usual and Rey/Swagger was also good. Rey manages to land on top of Swagger to get out of the Doctor Bomb when he's up in the air, and he hooks the legs for the win. **1/2 after the bout, Kane appeared, attacked Gallows in the aisle, and dropped Swagger and Punk with the chokeslam; moments later, Kane dropped Mysterio with the tombstone before taking the mic and saying Sunday would be a fatal night for whomever was responsible for attacking the Undertaker; moments later, an open casket was seen at the entrance stage with flames shooting up around it |

He then introduces the man in the first match, Drew McIntyre. They shake hands and Vince leaves. Drew comes out and tells Teddeh to come out. He comes out and says Vince told him to tell him that when this is over and he regains the title, he is to hand him the title and raise his hand. Match #1: Kofi Kingston [c] vs. Drew McIntyre [WWE Intercontinental Championship] They got 16 minutes now and it was a really good mix of wrestling and angle based stuff with Drew. Kofi brings it for once and Drew gets to work his awesome match. Kofi takes a big apron bump to transition into a great control seg while working the arm. Kofi has some legitimately insane athletic spots here. KOFI SELLS THE ARM HOLY SHIT. The ref is bumped and Drew pulls T'Lo in and puts the ref's shirt on him after he hits the Future Shock. He refuses to finish the count though, and he leaves! Matt Hardy runs out and hits Drew with the Twist of Fate and then Kofi hits Trouble in Paradise to win with T'Lo's count. Drew was legitimately robbed there, and really didn't cheat at all there and T'Lo did not DQ Kofi for obvious interference. *** Match #2: Eve [c] vs. Maryse vs. Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox [WWE Divas Championship] At least it was only 5 minutes. The most interesting part of this was a DANIEL BRYAN chant. Eve hits Maryse with her hideous Moonsault, but Fox steals the win to win. * In the back, Show and Rey have the Every Man For Himself talk. Match #3: Chris Jericho vs. Evan Bourne Started slow like most Jericho matches, but once Bourne got rolling with his stuff, it got very good. Total Bourne showcase match. The focus is on his offense and he also bumps and sells magnificently and is in place to make all of Jericho's stuff look great. Jericho seemed less off than he has in all of 2010, but still wasn't at that upper level where he usually resides, and Bourne was clearly guiding the match. This wasn't as good as it was at the time since it was based around cool counters and nearfalls and nothing else, and those never age well. Bourne wins with the Air Bourne. **3/4 Hype video for the WHT four way. Match #4: Jack Swagger [c] vs. Rey Mysterio vs. The Big Show vs. CM Punk w/ SES [World Heavyweight Championship] Shame they only got 10 minutes and the four way with the lesser talent got 18 minutes. Lots of great Big Show strength spots and he also had some awesome and believable bumps for the others. Rey and Punk both shined as usual, especially opposite each other. Everyone teamed up on Show in great form. Punk hits Swagger with the GTS, BUT KANE COMES OUT! He chases Punk and the SES to the back and Rey steals Punk's win with the 619 and Penguin Splash. Great match, and Rey deserved a "thank you" one month reign like this after his amazing last 18 months or so. Shame he stops trying once he loses the belt. *** MONEY IN THE BANK: JULY 18TH In the back, John Cena cuts a John Cena promo. Match #5: The Miz [c] vs. R-Truth [WWE U.S. Championship] And somehow, THIS got 13 minutes. I like them both and all, but this is hardly a match that deserves 13 minutes and on top of that, it was not at all the best they can do. Cole all of a sudden is a HUGE Miz fan. Some sloppy stuff and Miz really doesn't look that good tonight. Lots of loose offense and a boring control seg, and is clearly on the "miss" part of his hit or miss style since going on his own in 2009. They have a mediocre finishing run and Miz wins with a roll up. *3/4 FIVE TIMES IN MY LEFT KNEE Match #6: The Hart Dynasty/Natalya vs. The Usos/Tamina The quality of this is almost all on the Harts. The Samoans all look terrible and this gets 9 minutes. The champions have some fun matwork in this early on, but it drags with the Usos on offense. They do basic stuff, but it's not really good or exciting at all. They are painfully average, except for a nasty Samoan Drop into the barricade on Kidd. DH has a fine hot tag. Tamina is by far the worst and Nattie beats her with a Rolling Lariat. **1/4 Hype video for the main. Match #7: John Cena [c] vs. Sheamus vs. Randy Orton vs. Edge [WWE Championship] They give them 18 minutes for some reason. Again, there are individual good sequences and spots, but as a whole, a lot of the non-Sheamus pairings are sooooooo played out by 2010, and what was amazing in 2006 or 2007 is now routine due to repetition. Hilariously, they tease Cena/Orton early on and they try to have this big epic staredown but the crowd doesn't go apeshit at all and the announcers freak out about it leading to a hilarious effect. They do stuff and it drags in the middle. IN THE BACK, THE NXT GUYS ATTACK THE MIDCARD! They come out with everyone but Cena down on the floor and beat the fuck out of Cena with the NXT Finisher Parade. They beat on Edge on the floor when he tries to save, BUT SHEAMUS RUNS IN AND PINS CENA TO WIN THE BELT! **1/4 SHEAMUS FLEES THROUGH THE CROWD WITH THE BELT! FUCK YEAH SHEAMUS! |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Rey Mysterio, Since 6/20/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Alicia Fox, Since 6/20/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Raw June 21st, 2010 Bridgeport, CT To open the show, Vince is in the ring. He blames Bret Hart for the attack by the NXT rookies last week, since he fired Wade Barrett and refused to negotiate or prepare for Fatal 4 Way. He then fires Bret Hart as GM and says the new GM will remain anonymous and will deliver his decisions via e-mail on a ringside computer. GOD FUCKING DAMNIT. Cole reads the first e-mail and it says all seven NXT guys have been hired and Wade has his title shot back and they would speak later in the show. Sheamus then comes out with the belt. He says he didn't want to win the title like that. He says he wanted to really win it and he doesn't deserve the title and can't accept it like this. He hands it to Vince, BUT PULLS IT AWAY AT THE LAST SECOND AND SAYS HE WILL ANYWAYS! FUCK YEAH SHEAMUS! He thanks the NXT guys for interfering and for taking out Bret Hart and for jumping the Superstars in the back and for giving him the opportunity that he needed, but he didn't need their help. John Cena comes out and says he's glad he can now get revenge on the NXT rookies in the ring, but first things first, he's using his rematch clause tonight. Sheamus refuses, but Cole gets an e-mail and the anon GM makes it official with Vince as the ref. Before the next match, Jericho says if he doesn't make an example out of Bourne tonight and beat him, he will leave the WWE forever. Match #1: Chris Jericho vs. Evan Bourne Another Bourne led match. Huge bumps, sells, crisp offense, etc. Jericho control seg is boring and as usual for him post-mid 2009, he does nothing of value until the finishing run. They do a lot of the same spots as last night, and Jericho wins with the Codebreaker. **3/4 In the back, Ted Jr. has upgraded from Virgil to Maryse. Match #1: Natalya vs. Tamina The tag teams are there. This is horrible, but then the NXT guys come out to stop this. 1/4* The heels bail, but the Hart Dynasty attacks them, and they get beaten down. Coming back, the NXT guys are all in the ring. Otunga says they want to apologize and says they did it for their love of WWE and they'd do anything to get contracts. He says now that they're here, things can go back to normal. Slater says they have no problem with the Universe or the WWE locker room and the attacks have not been personal. Gabriel apologizes to Bret and says he put them in the corner, and they hope he's okay. Young apologizes to Cena and brings up how he's a black John Cena, and says he was a target because they needed an immediate impact. Skip says they want to apologize to the WWE Universe and hopes they can forgive and forget. Tarver says from a parent's perspective, he apologizes to his children for having to see him do what he did. Tarver says anybody would have done what they did. Wade says they did what they had to do, but he had a job and a title shot. He says that they decided that they would stick together and they would make sure they had contracts, because they had loyalty. He says they have formed a Nexus, a bond that will not be broken. He says the reason Sheamus is WWE Champion is because of them, and he capitalized on a target on John Cena. He says if they made a target out of Cena, they can just as easily make a target out of them, and he tells him to wipe that smug look across his face, because he's either going to lose his title tonight or to him in the future, when he takes his title match. WE ARE ONE WE ARE ONE WE ARE ONE That debuts too, so cum. Ted/Morrison was supposed to happen, but Ted comes out with Maryse on the stage. He says they have better things to do, so he got a replacement, and Zack Ryder comes out. Match #3: John Morrison vs. Zack Ryder Good 4 minutes. Zack got time to shine and did just that. Morrison took some good bumps and Zack's control seg had no limbwork so Morrison didn't have to sell. He made a good comeback and won with Starship Pain. **1/4 In the back, Josh interviews Cena. He keeps repeating the line about it not being personal, but says he got stretchered out and robbed of the WWE Title, and that makes it personal. He says he's loyal to this company and the fans, and says they made it personal and he wants to settle it and every action has a reaction. Match #4: The Great Khali/Eve vs. Primo/Alicia Fox Good god, this was no good. Eve vs. Alicia was the lesser of two evils, but still awful. Khali beats Primo with the Tree Slam. 1/2* Randy Orton comes out and gets on the mic. He cuts. a, Randy. Orton. promo. and. says. it. is. just. a matter. of. time. until. he. kicks. the. NXT. rookies. IN. the. SKULL. He says he hopes Wade takes the WWE Title, because he will then win it from him. The Miz then comes out and says Orton JUST had a WWE Title match, and he's sick of seeing him in the main event and sick of "the Viper" period. He says he's going to hold the WWE and US Titles at the same time because he deserves the next title shot, and Orton needs to go to the back of the line. And the reason why is because HE'S THE MIZ, AND HE'S -- Miz got a cheap shot instead of finishing it, but Orton fought back. He tried the RKO, but Miz slid out. Edge then ran out and he hit Orton with the Spear, and he said now the real fun begins. Match #5: Sheamus [c] vs. John Cena [WWE Championship - Special Referee: Vince McMahon] Their usual good, not great, match. Good spots and some great individual sells by Cena. Sheamus hits the Brogue Kick, and the Nexus runs out from the back. Sheamus flees through the crowd and they attack Cena and the match just sort of ends now. **1/2 They lay out Cena on the floor and Vince invites them into the ring. Vince puts them over and takes partial responsibility for their actions and asks for a round of applause. He turns around and they're all glaring at him and Vince has a fantastic "oh shit" face. Wade nods and they circle around him. They beat down on Vince and he gets hit with Skip's Lariat, the Wasteland from MWAY and then Gabriel's 450 Splash. |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Rey Mysterio, Since 6/20/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Alicia Fox, Since 6/20/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE NXT June 22nd, 2010 Manchester, NH It is announced that the WWE.com poll is next week. Match #1: The Miz/Alex Riley vs. MVP/Percy Watson This is alright. Nobody looks great, and neither of the rookies is absolutely hideous. Like usual on this show, they both have moments of good stuff mixed in with mediocrity. Miz beats Percy with the Skull Crushing Finale. *3/4 A video airs on Titus O'Neil. Match #2: Titus O'Neil vs. Michael McGillicutty Titus and Ryder are heart-warmingly awkward as best friends. Neither of them is really good though, so luckily this is only 2 minutes. Joe wins with the Neckbreaker. 3/4* Match #3: Kaval vs. Eli Cottonwood Ki tries and bumps around well before Eli kills him. *1/2 A video airs on that faggot Lucky Cannon. ![]() Match #4: Cody Rhodes vs. Lucky Cannon God damn, this fucking blew. Cannon wouldn't go up for shit, was awkward, and all his offense looked like total bullshit. He got like 95% of this too, before Cody won with Cross Rhodes. 3/4* featured a closing in-ring segment in which Matt Striker allowed each of the rookies 45 seconds to tell the fans why they were the next breakout star; when it came to Husky Harris, Harris said he didn't need 45 seconds on the clock, then decked Striker and hit a running senton; moments later, Harris joined Cody Rhodes on the stage with the two then going backstage |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Rey Mysterio, Since 6/20/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Alicia Fox, Since 6/20/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Smackdown June 25th, 2010 Manchester, NH featured an opening backstage statement by Teddy Long & Vickie Guerrero in which Long said World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio Jr. would defend his title at Money in the Bank, with Vickie saying they would soon determine which eight men would compete at Money in the Bank for a title shot; Vickie then said Vince McMahon was incapacited, with Drew McIntyre then walking in and confronting Long; Long then said he was given approval by the WWE Board of Directors to run the show any way he wanted, that he would reinstate Matt Hardy, and that McIntyre would face Hardy later in the show; after Long told McIntyre to get out, Vickie chimed in by saying the same TONIGHT: Kane vs. Punk in a No DQ match Jack Swagger comes out and says he's filed a formal complaint against WWE for making him defend his title against three men and he said he will get his rematch at Money in the Bank and regain the WWE Title. Match #1: The Big Show vs. Jack Swagger Better than Over The Limit. Awesome run of Big Show offense early on and bumping by Jack. Swagger worked the leg with a lot of quality stuff. Swagger put on an Ankle Lock, and Show got to the ropes. Swagger refused to let go, and was DQ'd. **1/2 Swagger has to be pulled off of Show post-match and show is helped to the back. In the back, Kane talks to the casket and says he would get vengeance against CM Punk tonight. Match #2: Christian/Kofi Kingston/MVP vs. Dolph Ziggler/The Gatecrashers Christian and Ziggler ruled in this, it's a shame that the others couldn't hang at their extremely high level. Hawkins, Kofi, and MVP ranged between good and bad, but generally didn't contribute a whole lot. However, they avoided being outright terrible, which cannot be said for Vance. Christian/Ziggler rules at the end and Christian wins with the Killswitch. **1/2 A replay airs of the Nexus attack on Vince. Match #3: Matt Hardy vs. Drew McIntyre Where the FUCK does this come from? This feels like Matt decided to REALLY fucking try hard and put on one last great performance before never being good again. They're both working really stiff and Matt takes some awesome bumps. The focus is on him doing KO selling, which along with his punches, is one of things he can still do really well. Lots of brutal D-Mac strikes and Hardy did his thing. This is good enough to make me want to use time travel to see Drew in 2010 vs. Matt in 2007. Could be almost as good as Matt/Finlay or Matt/Regal if they got 15 minutes like they did here. They played on the stomp to the steps that started this, with Matt sweeping Drew's legs out and he then took a killer bump on the steps. It ends kind of abruptly after that with the flash Twist of Fate to give Matt the win. This has flaws and all, but there's a ton of great stuff here and serves nicely as a final great Matt match. *** Post-match, Drew comes on the tron. He says Drew's visa has expired and he has him ejected. In the ring, Cody Rhodes gets on the mic and talks about his good looks. He mocks everyone else for being ugly and says he has been voted as the WWE's most attractive wrestler by the Divas, and he will now be known as DASHING CODY RHODES! FUCK YEAH! In the back, Ziggler tells Vickie that he wants an IC Title shot, or this isn't going anywhere. The first ADR vignette airs. Before the main event, Punk says he has one thing to say, and he did NOT have anything to do with The Undertaker's accident and he is innocent. Match #4: CM Punk vs. Kane [No DQ] Before the bell, Kane fights off Gallows and the masked SES guy, and early on, he Chokeslams Gallows through the announce table. They have as good as a match as this can be with only 6 minutes and it being based around Kane's offense. They fight through the crowd and into the lobby of the building. Kane throws Punk out the door, and he just fucking runs across the street and away from the building to end the show. **1/4 |
