WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Kane, Since 7/18/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Alicia Fox, Since 6/20/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Raw August 2nd, 2010 San Antonio, TX TONIGHT: Orton vs. The Miz Edge comes out to open the show and he gets on the mic. He says his team is going about this the wrong way and Cena's "leadership" will fail them, so he's doing things his own way now and that means challenging Wade Barrett to a match tonight! R-Truth comes out and says he gets that they all don't get along and he doesn't have to be John Cena's best friend but they all need to act as a group. Anon GM rings in and books Edge/MWAY immediately. Match #1: Edge vs. Wade Barrett This was really not good. That's not shocking, given that this is a non-gimmick Edge match after 2007 and it's against a guy who can't carry him. Wade, for all his awesome micwork and what not, is the definition of average in the ring. Moments of potential and great little things, but hasn't put it together. Anyways, the rest of Nexus comes out and Edge bails into the crowd and the match just kind of ends. *3/4 In the back, Edge finds Cena and yells at him for not helping him. Cena says Edge wanted to handle it on his own, so he was letting him. Cena says this will only work if it's 7 on 7, and if Team WWE is united. Edge says he quits then, and he walks off. Chris Jericho comes on and says Cena should be the one to quit the team, since everyone has a problem with him. He challenges Cena to a match tonight with the loser quitting their team, and Cena accepts. SUMMERSLAM RECALL: Bret vs. Perfect, 1991 In the back, Faggot talks to Khali about how they all need to work together at SummerSlam, and he leaves. Otunga and Tarver then come over and they say they didn't attack him last week because they respect him and they want to work with him. Match #2: Eve/Natalya/Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox/Tamina/Jillian Hall This is 2 minutes of nothing and Alicia beats Nattie with DAT SCISSORS KICK. 3/4* Alicia brags about being the best Divas Champions ever, so Melina makes her return and runs out to lay her out. Match #3: Sheamus vs. Goldust 2 minute squash of Goldust, but he made it look awesome. Awesome bumps and sells, and Sheamus wins with the Brogue Kick. ** Sheamus gets on the mic and notes how much quicker it took him to beat Goldust than it did a year ago. He says he took Triple H out of The Game, and he would end Randy Orton's career too at SummerSlam. Match #4: John Cena vs. Chris Jericho [Loser Leaves the SummerSlam Team] Not nearly on the level of their 2008-9 work, and was quite disappointing. First half was pretty much nothing. Lots of generic punch kick stuff with neither really going out of their way to make it good. They usually pull together a good finishing run, but this was pretty sloppy and half-assed. Cena gets the STFU, but before he can even lock his hands, Jericho taps. *3/4 Cena gets on the mic now and says he doesn't want Jericho off the team, but he can't force him to be on it either, and it's up to him. Jericho considers going back to the ring, but he turns around and walks out. In the back, Edge and Jericho talk and they say Cena needs us, they don't need him. They agree to let bygones be bygones and work together and they shake hands. Anon GM rings in now and says next week, it's Edge/Jericho vs. Cena/Bret Hart and it will be a Lumberjack Match with Nexus as lumberjacks. Fuck you, anon GM. Match #5: The Great Khali vs. Ted DiBiase Maryse and Runjin are there. This is 2 minutes of nothing. Skip and MWAY come out to the stage distracting Ted, and Khali puts on the head vice to win. 3/4* I WANT MY SON BACK! BUT I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW! Match #6: Randy Orton vs. The Miz I guess I should get used to this horrifyingly average and dull match up. Sheamus came out to watch. There's really nothing wrong with this pairing, but there is literally nothing interesting or above average happening in this pairing. They do stuff for 7 minutes or so. Orton wins with the RKO. ** Sheamus tries to get in, but Orton stares him down, and he doesn't. |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Kane, Since 7/18/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Alicia Fox, Since 6/20/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE NXT August 3rd, 2010 Laredo, TX featured an opening in-ring segment in which Matt Striker introduced the rookies and said they would compete in a kissing contest; Striker then asked for WWE Women's Champion Michelle McCool & WWE Women's Champion Layla, sitting at the entrance stage with the other pros, to come down to the ring; McCool & Layla said they would kiss the rookies and determine the winner; but, as Husky Harris prepared to go first, McCool said they weren't going to kiss the rookies after all and called for a local large woman by the name of Margaret, with a bruise on her mouth, to come to the ring; when it was Kaval's turn, Layla kissed him to save him from having to kiss Margaret; however, it didn't count and Kaval had to kiss Margaret anyway; Margaret eventually ruled that Lucky Cannon won the contest, with McCool & Layla then saying all the rookies had all won gingivitis, athlete's foot, and cooties Match #1: Kaval vs. Husky Harris Another awesome 3 minute match. Lots of awesome Kaval kicks and bumps. Husky wins with an awesome Hase-style Uranage, followed by the Back Senton. **1/4 In the back, McGillicutty challenges The Miz tonight. Lucky wants to fight him. On the stage, Miz books Lucky/Joe Hennig next and the winner faces him. Match #2: Michael McGillicutty vs. Lucky Cannon This is a minute of nothing before Michael wins with his shitty Neckbreaker. 1/4* Match #3: Alex Riley vs. Percy Watson This was not much. A-Ri wins with the TKO. Best part was Cole and Josh bickering over football. *1/2 NEXT WEEK: ANOTHER ELIMINATION! OH BOY! Match #4: The Miz vs. Michael McGillicutty This is 4 minutes of boring shit. Miz wins with a move. Fuck NXT. *1/2 |

Evan Bourne vs. Zack Ryder, Superstars (August 5th) This was essentially what you should expect from this match up now. Basically a showcase for Bourne's cool stuff, and I love Bourne's cool shit, since he always changes up the order of stuff and hits it all really crisply. Zack is the perfect foil for this, as he'll bump big for it all and do basic and not flashy at all heel stuff to emphasize Bourne's cool shit. Bourne's bumping also rules, etc. Bourne wins with the Air Bourne. *** |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Kane, Since 7/18/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 5/23/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Alicia Fox, Since 6/20/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Smackdown August 6th, 2010 Laredo, TX Rey Mysterio comes out to open the show and he denies attacking Taker. He says Kane has promised to put him in a casket after SummerSlam, but he's afraid of caskets, and says only God can judge him. He says he knows exactly who did it, but Drew McIntyre comes out. He says he admires Rey Mysterio for doing the job and taking out The Undertaker, but he knows Rey had to have some help, since there's no way he could do it all on his own. He says unlike Rey, he can take out anyone he wants and mentions him injuring Christian's arm last week. He challenges Rey to a match tonight so he can take him out too, and Rey accepts. Match #1: Cody Rhodes vs. Matt Hardy This was alright. Matt was trying at least, but at this point, he's so past his peak and out of shape that it just comes across bad. Cody has an awesome control segment again. They do some stuff and Cody wins with Cross Rhodes. **1/2 I WANT MY SON BACK ADR vignette. In the back, T'Lo takes Michelle's Womens Title, and LayCool fights over the one remaining one. BUT IT BREAKS APART AND THEY LAUGH! They say it's still only one title, and it's FLAWLESS! Match #2: Kofi Kingston [c] vs. Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero [WWE Intercontinental Championship] The shortest of their more recent matches, so it's not on the level as the others, but it still had a lot of good stuff. Kofi started off hot after last week, which robbed us of Ziggler matwork. It seemed Kofi was also not as "on" as he was through the month of July. Ziggler's control seg and the finishing run were good. Vickie causes a distraction and Ziggler wins with the Peace Zig to win the belt! YES! **3/4 Kofi beats down Ziggler post-match like a sore loser. Coming back, the SES is in the ring. Punk says he has accomplished things in his life and career that people here couldn't grasp. Like sobriety or winning three World Heavyweight Titles. He says he's never been more proud than when the Straight Edge Society worked together to topple The Big Show. The other members of the SES applauded and smiled, and Punk yells at them that he never said they could celebrate. He makes them get down on their knees and says happiness is weakness and it will cause them to slip. He says satisfaction is the death of desire and they wait for their match. Match #3: CM Punk/Luke Gallows/Joey Mercury w/ Serena vs. Chris Masters/MVP/JTG Good 3 minutes. Punk is still in a sling, so we never got Punk/Masters. Gallows and Mercury were both great though. Lots of great looking basic heel stuff from Joey. Real shame he didn't stick around longer. Punk kicks MVP in the back as he runs off the ropes and Gallows wins with a Yakuza Kick.** DASHING GROOMING TIP: Eyebrow grooming RAW REBOUND! Match #4: Rey Mysterio vs. Drew McIntyre Good, but not quite great. Rey was pretty clearly phoning it in, since he doesn't really sell much of Drew's control segment once he comes back. Although I don't blame Rey completely, since Drew's control seg was all over the place. Mostly focused on the ribs, but he'd do random neck and arm holds too, not really having as much focus as he usually does. Their spots all came off really well though. Rey wins with a roll up. **3/4 after the bout, Mysterio took the mic to say who he thought attacked the Undertaker, with World Heavyweight Champion Kane then appearing and pushing a casket ringside; McIntyre attacked Mysterio from behind, then left the ring; moments later, Kane stood above Mysterio with Mysterio then sliding out of the ring, avoiding the open casket, walking up the ramp, and accusing Kane of being responsible for attacking Taker |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Kane, Since 7/18/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Dolph Ziggler, Since 8/6/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Alicia Fox, Since 6/20/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Raw August 9th, 2010 Sacramento, CA TONIGHT: Cena/Bret vs. Edge/Jericho in a Nexus Lumberjack Match Bret Hart comes out to open the show and he calls Edge and Jericho out to the ring because he wants to talk to them. He says he's been training hard for SummerSlam and he's disappointed at how it's fallen apart. He says he vouched for them and says Jericho is only hurting himself, since Nexus wants nothing to do with him. Jericho says Bret is a phony, and he's not joining the team. Edge says Bret is the reason he and Jericho are in wrestling, and he goes for a handshake. Bret buys it, but Edge then tries a kick. Bret grabs his leg though and tries the Sharpshooter, but Jericho rakes his eyes. NAtalya runs out hysterical though, and in the back, the Nexus have laid out the Hart Dynasty. Wade says it looks like The Hart Dynasty won't be taking those 2 vacant spots on Team WWE. Match #1: The Miz vs. Evan Bourne Bourne carries this for 4 minutes with his amazing bumping and offense. Miz wins with the Skull Crushing Finale. ** Post-match, Miz gets on the mic and says it doesn't matter who walks out of SummerSlam as the WWE Champion because whoever it was would lose to him when he was ready. Match #2: Melina vs. Alicia Fox This is not quite the greatest match of all time or anything. It's 3 minutes of mediocre stuff, and Melina wins with the Code Red. 1/2* In the back, Josh asks Khali what side he's on, and he challenges MWAY to a match. In the back, Edge and Jericho talk. They agree that they're both survivors having lasted this long, and they can survive Nexus too. Jericho says they should just take out Bret and Cena tonight, since without them, there would be no match at SummerSlam, and they wouldn't have to worry about Nexus taking anything over. In the back, MOK goes up to R-Truth and Morrison and says he wants on Team WWE and says to consider this match his audition. Mark Henry comes out for a match vs. Ted, but the Nexus, minus Wade Barrett, attacks Mark as he comes out to ringside. They keep throwing him into the steps until he stops moving, and they leave out through the crowd. Referees come out and wave to the back for help for MOK. featured an in-ring promo by WWE World Champion Sheamus in which he said he wasn't scared of Orton and would beat Orton at Summer Slam; Sheamus then showed on the big screen a highlight package of himself recapping his success over the past year, during which he said he ended Triple H's career and would do the same to Orton; moments later, Sheamus called for Orton to come out, with Orton saying Sheamus was full of it, that Orton wasn't Triple H or John Cena, and that Sheamus has never beaten him; Michael Cole then received an e-mail from the Raw GM which stated anyone who interfered in the title match at Summer Slam would be suspended indefinately and that there would be no rematch; the GM also wrote that if Sheamus wasn't scared of Orton then he should do something about it, with the two then coming to blows; Orton eventually won the fight and teased to Sheamus that he would kick him in the head, then stopping short before grabbing Sheamus's belt on the floor, raising it up, and then throwing it to Sheamus before leaving ringside Sheamus is still at ringside as the next match begins. Match #3: Kaval/Percy Watson/Lucky Cannon vs. Alex Riley/Husky Harris/Michael McGillicutty Kaval and Husky tried, but this was 2 minutes where they were hardly in, and everyone else pretty much sucked and failed to do much of interest. Husky and Kaval get in at the end to try and save it, and Husky AGAIN beats Kaval with the Back Senton. 3/4* Sheamus gets in and kills Cannon and Michael, and hits Kaval with the High Cross. He gets on the mic and guarantees that he will still be WWE Champion next week. Match #4: John Morrison/R-Truth vs. William Regal/Zack Ryder Only 2 minutes and a huge waste of Regal. Action was still really good, and my only real complaint is the time. Morrison beats Ryder with Starship Pain. *3/4 Match #4: The Bella Twins vs. Maryse/Jillian Hall vs. Eve/Gail Kim [Bikini Masturbation Festival - Special Referees: Santino & Kozlov] This was what it was. Bouncing slide entrance was by far the best part. The Bellas won. cum When Santino wins, Tamina comes out and slaps his ass. In the back, Khali walks for his match, but The Nexus again attacks in the back, and they lay him out. The Nexus comes out to be lumberjacks, but first, Wade gets on the mic. He says his match with The Great Khali is hereby canceled, and with Team WWE now down to only 4 members, and the balance of power would permanently shift in their favor at SummerSlam. Otunga says anybody thinking about joining Team WWE at SummerSlam needs to think about what happened to Ricky Steamboat, Vince McMahon, the Hart Dynasty, Mark Henry, and Khali. In the back, Cena and Bret WALK~, but The Miz stops them! He says it's inevitable that they would have this discussion and Team WWE needs help, and he's saving Cena the time by saying he needs him. Miz says he wants to hear him ask him to be on his team to help save Raw. Cena asks him if he's in or out, and Miz says the times have really changed in just one year, and he'll let him know on Sunday. Match #5: John Cena/Bret Hart vs. Edge/Chris Jericho [Nexus Lumberjack Match] This has all the flaws of a Lumberjack Match combined with it being filled with guys who aren't very good, and Cena. Luckily, it's only about 5 minutes of meandering stuff before it turns into a fucking great angle. Edge and Jericho get thrown out and Cena and Bret are alone in the ring AND NEXUS ALL GETS ON THE APRON! *1/2 Morrison and R-Truth run out to get Cena and Bret's backs, and they stand facing off with Nexus. Edge and Jericho walk up the ramp, and Nexus climbs in and faces off with Cena, Bret, Morrison, and Truth. Edge and Jericho look at it and go to leave, but they stop. They have this great double moment of realization, like "Oh, son of a bitch...", AND EDGE AND JERICHO RUN DOWN AND STAND WITH TEAM WWE! THE CROWD GOES NUTS AND THE CAMERA STARTS TO SHAKE! FUCK YEAH! AND THE TWO TEAMS FIGHT! FUCK YEAH! The Nexus flees through the crowd and Team WWE stands united in the ring, despite being down one man. |

Morrison refuses, but challenges him to a match instead. Miz accepts. Match #1: Kaval/Percy Watson/Lucky Cannon vs. Alex Riley/Husky Harris/Michael McGillicutty They get 7-8 minutes now, so this is good. It's still carried by Kaval and Husky, but they get more time, so whatever. Kaval had a really great hot tag, and he beats McGillicutty with the John Woo and then the Warrior's Way. **1/4 RAW REBOUND! Match #2: The Miz vs. John Morrison This is probably their worst match against each other. Morrison's Standing SSP ends up being the rare Standing SSP Fistdrop. Lots of Morrison botching brought this down. Miz wins with the Skull Crushing Finale. **1/4 They do the voting and Lucky Cannon is eliminated. Good. Fuck him. Striker says there's a double elimination next week. |

Goldust/Yoshi Tatsu vs. The Usos w/ Tamina, Superstars (August 12th) Really good Goldust/Yoshi carryjob. It's mostly Goldust's work as he is fucking Goldust and is amazing again, but Yoshi's stuff all connects really well and he has good fire. The Usos manage to be in their best match yet by virtue of not fucking up and letting Dustin do his thing. Goldust has an awesome hot tag too, but then the horrible part comes in and he loses to the Flying Splash from one of them. **3/4 |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Kane, Since 7/18/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Dolph Ziggler, Since 8/6/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Alicia Fox, Since 6/20/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Smackdown August 13th, 2010 San Jose, CA featured an opening in-ring segment in which Vickie Guerrero introduced the new WWE IC Champion Dolph Ziggler, with Vickie then saying Dolph was more electrifying than the Rock, had more heart than Bret, and was sexier than Shawn Michaels; Dolph then said there was one person he wanted to thank for his success, that being Vickie; Vickie said they were going to leave San Jose for a vacation in Tahiti, with Kofi Kingston then running out, quickly clearing Ziggler from the ring, and assaulting him on the floor until he was pulled away by referees; Teddy Long then appeared at the entrance stage and said Ziggler and Vickie would have to cancel their vacation plans because Kingston would get his rematch at Summer Slam; Long then said Ziggler would face Rey Mysterio Jr. later in the broadcast, with Vickie saying Kingston should face Kane to make it fair; Long responded by saying Vickie was just a consultant and couldn't make matches, but Kingston said he had no problem facing Kane and wanted it to be next Match #1: Kane vs. Kofi Kingston Not great or anything, but a fine 4 minutes. Kane Chokeslams Kofi off the top, and just because, he hits the Tombstone to win. ** Post-match, Kane gets on the mic. He says Rey is the one responsible for his brothers' vegetative state and he would pay for his lies at SummerSlam. Rey comes out and says he is one of God's humble servants, so he couldn't have done it. That is really flimsy logic. He says Kane's the one who found Taker and accused everyone else and he had the most to gain from Taker being gone, and they both know that if Undertaker was here now, he would be Champion, not Kane, but after Sunday, it will be back in his hands. Match #2: Christian vs. Cody Rhodes This was good, but due to a fucking unnecessary commercial, they only get 5 minutes of this aired. Christian is still selling his arm really really well and Cody works on it with some quality work. Cody throws Christian shoulder-first to the post and wins with the Cross Rhodes. **3/4 Big Show vs. SES is announced for SummerSlam. Match #3: The Big Show vs. Three Jobbers Acceptable squash for under a minute. 1/2* The SES comes out onto the stage and Punk has an amazing "I BROKE BIG SHOW'S HAND" shirt on, and he says they'll break even more of his bones if he gets in the ring with them at SummerSlam. Match #4: Drew McIntyre vs. Matt Hardy Only 5 minutes, but another good Drew showing. They both took a lot of crazy bumps again like in their last match. Lots of stuff and violent shots too, and Drew wins with the Future Shock. **3/4 A hype video airs for Nexus vs. Team WWE. Match #5: Jack Swagger vs. MVP Unremarkable few minutes. Swagger wins with the Ankle Lock. *1/2 DASHING GROOMING TIP: Q-Tips NEXT WEEK: Alberto Del Rio debuts Match #6: Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero[/b[ This is a good shit. Not their best, since they don't completely go nuts with a finishing run or a ton of counters, but it was really good. Both men take huge bumps, etc. Kane comes out with the casket to watch and Ziggler has his great control seg. Ziggler turns around and runs to Rey to avoid the 619 when he runs off the ropes, but Rey evades him and gets a roll up to win. **3/4 Kane opens the casket and tries to get in, but Rey knocks him off the apron and into the casket and Kane flees. |

Ziggler does his awesome matwork and has a great control seg. Kofi fights back and shit and yeah. Dolph has the Sleeper on, but the Nexus comes from the crowd and attacks both men for a double DQ. **3/4 They throw Dolph out and Kofi is hit with Darren Young's Hurts Donut and Otunga's awful Spinebuster. Wade gets on the mic and says no matter who WWE gets as a 7th man, it won't matter. He says the roster is so fragmented with their own egos and self importance that they can't get together long enough to sign a birthday card, let alone form a team to beat them. Wade lets us know that you're either Nexus or you're against us. Well, them. In the back, Jericho talks to Miz and says the team needs him tonight. Edge comes in to talk him up and they say he could make himself a legend tonight. Miz says he appreciates that they need his help, but he has a lot on his plate right now, and he'll think about it. From that, Lawler somehow gets that Miz joined the team. Match #2: Alicia Fox [c] vs. Melina [WWE Divas Championship] This is good enough for these two, not actually being bad or anything. Actually no, fuck that, THIS IS THE GREATEST MATCH OF ALL TIME! MELINA WINS THE BELT WITH THE SLICE! FUCK YEAH! Josh gets in the ring to interview her, BUT NEVERMIND THAT SHIT, LAYCOOL COMES OUT! They say she looks good...NOT! She's not FLAWLESS! They say they have no competition anymore, so they want to share in her moment. REAL TALK! This is a real moment, with three champions here. Layla wants a picture but Melina shoves her. What a cunt. So they beat down Melina for being a bitch. Match #3: The Big Show vs. CM Punk/Luke Gallows/Joey Mercury w/ Serena I hate the dismantling of the SES, as the group had a ton of potential, but this is not a bad match by any means. Good 7 minutes. Mostly Show on offense, but the SES all did a great job of bumping and stooging around. The work on the hand was all awesome. Punk bails out with Serena and Gallows and Joey get beat after the Double Chokeslam. **1/2 In the back, Kane talks to the casket and promises vengeance. The Miz comes out and he gets on the mic. He says the big question is whether or not he joins Team WWE. He asks the crowd and they boo, but he says he couldn't care less what they think. He says earlier today, John Cena and admitted he's been wrong about him. He says Cena begged him on his knees AND CENA SAYS THE MIZ IS THE ONLY SUPERSTAR THAT CAN SEE HIM! AMAZING! He says Bret says he is the best there is, was, and ever will be. He says Morrison admitted to being the Janetty, Edge gave him Slim Jims, Truth wrote him a bad rap, and Jericho gave him a Fozzy CD, which he then threw out. He says he is WWE's only hope and this is a bigger decision than LeBron's decision which will lead to the Laker losing the NBA Championship. You'd think Miz would be more upset about that, being from Cleveland. He stalls a bit, but says YES! BAH GAWD! A horrible hype video airs for Sheamus/Orton. Match #4: Sheamus [c] vs. Randy Orton [WWE Championship] This sure as fuck happened for 18 minutes. I'm writing this sentence about 15 minutes in, and honest to God, I can't remember a fucking thing that's happened in this match. Nothing was truly wrong with it or even bad, it was all solid, but it's just completely unremarkable. Sheamus brings a chair in and shoves the ref down for a DQ to save the belt. **1/4 Orton avoids the chair shot and he gets a low blow. He takes it out to the floor and he hits Sheamus with the RKO on the announce table. I WANT MY SON BACK, BUT I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW Match #5: Kane [c] vs. Rey Mysterio [World Heavyweight Championship] Easily their best match together. Lots of good big/little stuff, although not without flaws, s Rey still completely refuses to sell the back during matches against Kane, and Kane has some really awkward bumps for some of Rey's counters. Kane shuts down Rey's rally and wins with the Chokeslam. **3/4 Kane gets on the mic and says he said Rey would pay for what he did to his brother, and he drags him to the casket. He opens it and Rey starts to fight back. Kane closes the lid, and he Chokeslams Rey again, and then hits a third one because fuck him. He then kills him some more with the Tombstone. Kane opens the lid, AND THE UNDERTAKER IS IN THE CASKET AND SITS UP! KANE IS FREAKED OUT AND TAKER COMES IN! He's clearly still a little out of it and Kane smiles and points at Rey. Taker gets down in his face in the corner and says before he makes things right, he wants to know why. Taker is coughing during this, and Rey says it wasn't him. Taker says he believes him, but picks him up by the throat. TAKER STANDS HIM UP IN THE CORNER AND GIVES THE CUTTHROAT SIGN, BUT THEN TURNS TO FACE KANE! OH SHIT! TAKER GRABS HIM BY THE THROAT, BUT KANE LAUGHS AND GRABS TAKER BY THE THROAT! KANE OVERPOWERS TAKER, AND HE HITS THE TOMBSTONE! THAT WAS AWESOME! I am so excited for beat up old man Clint Eastwood Taker. Awesome hype video for the main event. Everyone comes out for the main event and Miz comes out last. Cena gets on the mic and says Miz is WAY too late. He says they couldn't rely on a man who would make his decision the day of the match, so they went out and found the 7th member of Team WWE. It's not The Miz, and it's someone who hates The Nexus as much as them. IT'S DANIEL BRYAN! HOLY SHIT YES! Match #6: John Cena/Daniel Bryan/Edge/Chris Jericho/Bret Hart/John Morrison/R-Truth vs. Wade Barrett/Skip Sheffield/Justin Gabriel/Heath Slater/Michael Tarver/Darren Young/David Otunga [Elimination Match] There's not a TON of great wrestlers in this, but there was enough different pairings to always keep this fresh and the focus was mainly on the two best wrestlers in this, Cena and Danielson. On top of that, the booking was really great and nobody shit the bed enough to ruin it. Danielson has an awesome flurry vs. Young to begin, AND IN 45 SECONDS, DANIELSON MAKES HIM TAP TO THE LEBELLE LOCK! FUCK YEAH! Nexus does a great job getting over the shock of losing their game plan of eliminating WWE one by one, and how they get flustered and rush in and make mistakes now. Gabriel takes some awesome bumps, Tarver's offense looks great, etc. The only one of Nexus who doesn't bring anything to this is Otunga, but that's to be expected. And again, he doesn't mess anything up. Morrison eliminates Tarver with a rarely seen perfectly hit Starship Pain. Nexus regroups now, leading to probably what will be the best moment of his career when Skip yells "I GOT THIS!". He goes back in with amazing power offense, AND ACTUALLY DOES GOT THIS AS HE ELIMINATES MORRISON WITH A LARIAT! Truth comes in next, but within 30 more seconds, SKIP ELIMINATES HIM TOO WITH THE LARIAT! SKIP'S GOT THIS AND JUST EVENED IT OUT! Jericho gets isolated, BUT JERICHO BRINGS THE FIERY BABYFACE OFFENSE! COME ON BABY! BRET GETS THE HOT TAG AND HOLY SHIT, BRET LOOKS ACTUALLY GOOD! A chair gets slid in when Skip tags in, but Bret gets it first, and he hits Skip with it for the DQ! He leaves as Skip gets up, but then he gets hit with the Codebreaker and the Spear and they even it up again by eliminating him. Jericho and Edge start to butt heads now and they yell at each other. Control seg on Edge is good. Jericho gets in to do more awesome face shit, and he makes Otunga tap to the Walls of Jericho! Jericho accidentally hits Cena when Slater moves, and they have a staredown, allowing Slater to hit a 2nd rate looking Peace Zig to eliminate Jericho. Cena and Edge both try to get in, AND EDGE YELLS AT CENA THAT THIS IS WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT! AWESOME CONTINUITY! Edge shoves him and Danielson yells at them to stop. Cena goes to step out, but Slater shoves Edge into Cena, AND SLATER SCHOOLBOYS EDGE TO ELIMINATE HIM! SLATERS GON SLATE! It's 3 on 2 now, AND EDGE SPEARS CENA OFF THE APRON! JERICHO AND EDGE STOMP ON HIM AND THEY LEAVE. Cena gets isolated and has some awesome little sells. 24 minutes in and the cracks in Nexus start to show, as their control seg on Cena is pretty unfocused as Wade works the back and Gabriel works the arm . Maybe that's storytelling to show that the group's usual unity and purpose isn't as much when there's only 3 of them, but I doubt it. Bryan has an epic hot tag including THE LONG AWAITED RETURN OF THE TOPE SUICIDA! YES! He gets Slater with the LeBelle Lock too, and he taps! Slater distracts the ref, AND MIZ RUNS OUT AND HITS BRYAN WITH THE BRIEFCASE! WHAT THE FUCK?! MWAY PINS DANIELSON AND IT'S 2 ON 1! Cena has some awesome adrenaline selling here before he is DDT'd on the concrete. The no-selling here always gets complained about, and yes, it isn't good at all, but it is so much better than I remembered. After Gabriel misses the 450, Cena covers and collapses again. Wade runs in and Cena takes him down into the STFU. Cena does a good job making it look like he's throwing everything in it, and when Wade taps, he collapses again. A DDT on the concrete should end the match, but of all egregious Cena no-sells in 2009-11, this is hardly the worst. Best thing about this is how well it's laid out. There's still some slow spots once the match thins out a bit and Nexus guys have to work longer segments and they get a little exposed, but it's still really great. **** As for Team WWE winning, I sort of get it, but it also makes no sense. If you didn't want to give big pushes to inexperienced guys like this, then don't start this as a huge angle to push them. You started it, now fucking follow through. Nexus is basically dead after this, as they've had their big defeat. They could have rebuilt them, yes, but LOL OOPS IT'S FALL AGAIN. FUCK WRITING CREATIVELY. |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Kane, Since 7/18/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Dolph Ziggler, Since 8/6/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Melina, Since 8/15/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Raw August 16th, 2010 Los Angeles, CA To open the show, Nexus is in the ring. MWAY says what doesn't kill them makes them stronger and they still beat 6 of the WWE's top stars in one night. He says anyone who crosses them tonight will be made an example of, etc. Cena then comes out and talks about how they lost and makes some horrible jokes at all of them, mostly poorly designed gay jokes and then one awesome one about his mom fucking Buckwheat to produce Young. Mostly lame material though. Anon GM says the Nexus members will each have singles matches tonight with all Nexus members banned from ringside and Barrett says anyone who loses is out of the Nexus. Otunga says that goes for Wade too. Match #1: Wade Barrett vs. Chris Jericho This was what it was for these two in 2010. Not a lot here, but this pairing allows Wade to gain a lot with a win, since Jericho was his mentor. They do a whole lot of nothing until a real cool finish. Wade catches the Codebreaker and he turns it into the Wasteland to win. *3/4 featured the introduction of guest hosts Justin Long, Charlie Day, & Jason Sudeikis, who in turn introduced WWE Unified Tag Team Champions David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd, with Natalya Neidhart; moments later, Cole received an e-mail from the GM which stated the champions would now be known as simply the WWE Tag Team Champions and Bret Hart would present them with their new tag team title belts; after Hart appeared and revealed the new belts, Nexus appeared on the big screen with Barrett saying Justin Gabriel would face Hart; Gabriel then cut a promo in which he said he would hit Hart with the 450 splash Match #2: Daniel Bryan vs. Michael Tarver Awesome 3 minute match. Lots of quality stuff. THIS GUY IS SUCH A DWEEB. HE DOESN'T EVEN EAT MEAT. HE DOESN'T EVEN OWN A TELEVISION SET! Miz and A-Ri come out to distract AmDrag and Tarver gets a roll up to win. **1/4 Post-match, Miz and Riley beat down Bryan and Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale on the MITB briefcase. In the back, Miz says Bryan has disrespected him for the last time and says Alex Riley is everything Bryan should be and Riley says he's not an overrated nerd like Bryan and he respects The Miz. LOLOLOLOLOL In the Nexus locker room, Darren Young says he wants Cena tonight and he wants to take out Cena in revenge. Gabriel comes out for the match, but Anon GM says he hates Bret and doesn't want to see him on Raw again, so he puts Orton in his place. Match #3: Randy Orton vs. Justin Gabriel Average 3 minutes. Sheamus comes out and then at the end, Orton and Sheamus brawl away to the crowd, so Gabriel wins by count out. ** Orton comes back in and hits Gabriel with the RKO. He then goes back out and kills Sheamus a lot with a chair and hits him with the RKO on the floor. Match #4: John Morrison/R-Truth vs. Skip Sheffield/David Otunga Another average 3 minute match. Skip kills Morrison with a Lariat to win. He's got this. *3/4 Match #5: Melina/Eve/Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox/Maryse/Jillian Hall This was the same as it usually is. Heels win. 1/2* Match #6: Edge vs. Heath Slater They now got 4 minutes to be mediocre! They did a whole lot of nothing interesting. This is the match where a fan yells "I HATE YOU HEATH SLATER! I HATE YOU!" Slater manages to slide in just before Edge on the floor and he wins by count out. *1/2 Edge gets back in and Spears him anyways. included a backstage segment with Long, the Great Khali, and Runjin Singh in which they discussed Khali's girlfriend in India; moments later, Day and Sudeikis walked in and made fun of Khali's girlfriend, thinking he couldn't understand them; Khali eventually scared them off but then agreed his girlfriend was "butt ugly," then walked off with Brie & Nikki Bella Match #7: John Cena vs. Darren Young They actually got 8 minutes, so this was good. Not great, since Young isn't particularly good or anything, but was average basic stuff. Cena did the weird and fun Cena Matwork early on. He did his thing and then won with the STFU. **1/4 Cena leaves, and Nexus comes in and beats up Young. Awful episode. |

Zack did his stuff and it was fine, but god damn, Joe just brings nothing to this. I want to like him. I liked him in FCW and NOAH. He looked like he had potential, but being around guys who are fully developed really makes it stand out how much he isn't ready yet, despite his mechanics all being solid. Ryder wins with the Ruff Ryder. ** A recap airs of Taker's return. In the back, LayCool hyped up Kaval for his match, and he left. Michelle asks Layla if there's something going on between her and Kaval. She denies it, but says he is pretty cute and is a good kisser and has a great voice. They agree and Layla left. Shame they never did anything with either Layla/Kaval or Kaval/LayCool as pairings, because they have a ton of chemistry together. The pairing humanizes both sides as well. Fucking writing. Husky then came over and hit on Michelle and said he would destroy their little buddy again tonight. Match #2: Kaval vs. Husky Harris ANOTHER great 3 minute match here. Kaval takes some killer bumps as usual, and this time, he counters the Uranage into a DDT and hits the Warrior's Way to finally beat Husky. **1/4 Match #3: Kofi Kingston vs. Alex Riley Kofi wins in like a minute. LOLOLOLOLOL 3/4* RAW REBOUND! The next elimination closes the show. Husky Harris is eliminated. BULLSHIT. Cody is pissed and shits on the remaining three in amazing fashion, specifically saying McGillicutty doesn't deserve to be Mr. Perfect II. They then attack Kaval and the faces try to save. Kaval ends up knocking out Husky with several kicks. LayCool yells that that's what he gets and they hug Kaval. |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Kane, Since 7/18/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Dolph Ziggler, Since 8/6/2010 WWE Unified Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Melina, Since 8/15/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Smackdown August 20th, 2009 Bakersfield, CA Rey Mysterio comes out to open the show and he thanks the fans for all the support after his loss at SummerSlam, and he says he feels vindicated after finding out that not only did he not attack The Undertaker, but learning that he was right, and that it was Kane all along. However, he is interrupted by the debuting Alberto Del Rio. He gets on the mic and says his name is Alberto Del Rio, but you already know that. He says they are both Mexican icons, but he has within him blood of kings (he is immortal?) and Rey has the blood of peasants. Rey says ADR hasn't earned anyone's respect yet, but ADR says he'll make him respect him. Rey challenges him to a match tonight, and he accepts. He tries a cheap shot, but Rey fights back and hits the 619. Rey leaves and winks at ADR. Save it for the bath houses, sport. Match #1: Dolph Ziggler [c] w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. Kofi Kingston [WWE Intercontinental Championship] Only 5 minutes, unfortunately. Still good though. They do stuff but never really turn it up and Vickie gets Dolph DQ'd when she shoves Kofi off the top. **1/2 Kofi goes after her and chases her around the ring, but Dolph slides out and attacks him on the floor. He throws him in and puts on the Sleeper. Vickie slaps at him while he's in the hold, and he passes out. Dolph celebrates and stomps on Kofi's head once before they leave. In the back, LayCool discuss a rumor that T'Lo is mad at them for what they did at SummerSlam, and they decide to go find out more. They leave, and Hornswoggle is hiding as a potted plant. Son of a bitch. In the back, Gallows, Serena, and Joey talk. They are mad that Punk left them at SS, but Serena says Punk was teaching them a lesson, and tonight they need to prove they deserve his admiration. Punk comes on and says they deserve nothing and says if Luke and Serena lose their tag match tonight, then they're out of the SES. Match #2: Luke Gallows/Serena vs. The Big Show/Kelly Kelly This was a fine enough 2 minutes, but nothing overly special. Mostly K2 vs. Serena, which wasn't good. The 30 seconds or so of Gallows/Show ruled. Serena beats Kelly with a Gutbuster. 3/4* CM Punk comes out and applauds on the stage. AMAAAAAAAAAZING Kane promo, probably his career promo and maybe the best individual promo of 2010: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUr_Newfeew Cody Rhodes comes out to do commentary. Match #3: Christian vs. Drew McIntyre This was somehow even better than their first match. Same great focus on the arm, but Drew had even nastier spots attacking the shoulder. Christian's selling was amazing as usual, but that's not really surprising. What was surprising was how they used an entirely different set of spots and sequences than in their first match. Christian has an awesome comeback while selling. Christian counters a Running Powerslam into a crucifix pin for the win. ***3/4 Cody and Drew beat on Christian, but Matt came out to save. He failed though because he's a failure, and Cody laid him out with Cross Rhodes. included a backstage segment in which Jack Swagger complained about being a former world champion and being left off Summer Slam, then losing the previous week to MVP; moments later, it was revealed he was talking to Rosa Mendes, who wasn't paying attention to him; MVP then appeared and said the only thing Swagger's been good at as of late was complaining, with Swagger saying he was better than MVP at everything; the two agreed to compete with either Swagger hosting the VIP Lounge for a night or MVP throwing a party and Swagger picking up the tab RAW REBOUND! Match #4: Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio I had this conversation with Biggie on MSN earlier about how I feel about ADR is a lot like how I felt about Razor Ramon when watching the 90s stuff. His character is amazing, he cuts great promos, and has a kick-ass entrance theme, but in the ring, he just leaves me cold. With Razor that was a lot to do with Hall just being lazy at points. ADR does things I should like a lot. He works a body part and takes huge and great bumps, but it rarely comes together as him being a great wrestler, and I was never really impressed with him to the level that other people online were until the last few months. I still don't think he should have been WWE Champion yet either but that's another story. He works the arm here, but Rey being Rey, it's not sold. Apart from that, they work well together. ADR wins clean (!!!!!) with a below average looking Jujigatame, although he'll get better at that over time. **3/4 Big deal, fairly quick. |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Kane, Since 7/18/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Dolph Ziggler, Since 8/6/2010 WWE Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Melina, Since 8/15/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Raw August 23rd, 2010 Los Angeles, CA featured an opening in-ring promo by WWE World Champion Sheamus in which he said the young fans were spoiled brats, then said Randy Orton was just like them for the way he treated Sheamus after failing to win the WWE World Title at Summer Slam; Sheamus then noted the upcoming Night of Champions and said Orton should never get another shot at the title; moments later, Michael Cole received an e-mail from the Raw GM that read Sheamus would sit at the entrance stage to watch a series of matches later in the show to determine his challenger at the pay-per-view Coming back, Sheamus is sitting on the stage on a huge throne. Match #1: Edge vs. R-Truth This was alright, but again, unimpressive. Cole has started shitting on Truth, and has begun sliding more and more into heeldom. Edge wins with the Spear in about 4 minutes. *3/4 Edge gets on the mic and walks up to Sheamus on the stage and says he hasn't proven anything until he beats him. TONIGHT: Cena vs. Miz NEXT WEEK: THE 900TH EPISODE Match #2: Chris Jericho vs. The Great Khali w/ Runjin Singh Khali's knee is hurt and Jericho isn't good anymore, so this was a mediocre 3 minutes. Jericho wins with the Walls of Jericho, which obviously looked super awkward. *1/2 Jericho gets on the ropes with the mic and he demands that Sheamus chooses him to fight at Night of Champions, but then Khali knocks him to the floor with the Baba Chop. In the back, Josh interviews Cena about his match. He says he doesn't regret choosing Daniel Bryan for Team WWE because he did fantastic, and Miz is just as petty as always. Match #3: Melina vs. Jillian Hall This was not outright awful, but too short and really nothing special. 1/2* LayCool comes on the tron and they say next week, they have an offer Melina won't be able to refuse. In the back, Josh asks Miz about what Cena said. Miz actually makes a hell of a point saying he sacrificed his ego for Team WWE when he could have cashed in MITB that night when Sheamus was beaten down after the WWE Title match. But he was busy getting ready to help Team WWE. He says the least Cena could have done was to talk to him in the back like a man and tell him he was being replaced until waiting until right before the match. Hey, that...that's totally reasonable. He then says this Night of Champions selection process doesn't matter to him, since he can take his shot whenever he wants. Nexus comes out to the stage, now down to six, and Sheamus is still on his throne and asks how he can help them. Anon GM buzzes in and says the ban on Nexus challenging for titles is officially lifted! Barrett then says their truce is over! OH SHIT! Match #4: John Cena vs. The Miz They get 10 minutes and this is TV and not PPV, so this match works well. I never understood the way this pairing works in the ring, why they put on total bullshit level matches on PPV but tear the house down on TV. They don't tear the house down here, but it's a well done basic match. When Miz was on the floor, Daniel Bryan ran out to attack him for the DQ. **1/2 Bryan puts on the LeBell Lock on the floor and has to be pulled off by referees and shit. Match #5: Santino Marella/Vladimir Kozlov vs. The Usos w/ Tamina Short nothing match. Kozlov wins with the Uranage. 3/4* Tamina helps up Santino post-match. Match #6: Randy Orton vs. John Morrison vs. Ted DiBiase w/ Maryse Bland 5 minute spotfest, but nothing really bad happened in it. Nothing exciting happened either. Orton catches Morrison in mid-air with the RKO to win. Sheamus walks out about halfway through. **1/4 He hits Ted with the RKO post-match too. Coming back, Josh interviews Sheamus and he says he doesn't need to see any more of Randy Orton. He says he's made his decision and he'll announce it in the ring next! Coming back, Sheamus is in the ring. He says instead of NOC, he'll defend his title right now! He says he became champion because of opportunity, so he won't give a title shot to any of the old guard guys that won tonight, and he picked his #1 Contender as a man who never has had a WWE Title shot before, like him late last year. So his challenger is....ZACK RYDER! YES! Match #7: Sheamus [c] vs. Zack Ryder [WWE Championship] Sheamus immediately hits the Brogue Kick to win. FUCK YEAH SHEAMUS! Sheamus gets on the mic and says that since he just defended the WWE Championship, he doesn't have to defend it for 30 days, SO HE WILL NOT BE DEFENDING THE TITLE AT NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS! HOLY SHIT, SHEAMUS IS THE BEST! Wade Barrett comes out and says as the NXT winner, he gets a title shot at any PPV he wants, and he's selecting Night of Champions! Anon GM rings in, and he turns it into Sheamus vs. MWAY vs. Cena vs. Orton vs. Edge vs. Jericho. Fuck you, Anon GM. The other four came out and circled around Wade in the ring. They beat on him and throw him out. They then go finisher crazy on each other and Orton hits Cena with the RKO lastly to end the show. Raw sucks now apart from Sheamus. |

Kaval won. A-Ri was embarrassed. Joe tried to say Rob Zombie performs "The Game". RAW REBOUND! Match #1: Cody Rhodes vs. MVP For whatever reason, this gets like 20 minutes, including commercial time. THIS, THIS FUCKING PAIRING, is the longest TV match of the year. It wasn't great or anything, but they didn't suck together. It did drag hugely though for about 10 minutes in the middle where they clearly struggled to fill any time. Cody finally ends it with the Cross Rhodes. Never do this again, NXT. *3/4 |

William Regal vs. Goldust, Superstars (August 26th) Fuck, this was so goddamned great. Lots of really cool matwork early on, and then regal worked on the arm. Goldust brought back the missed Crossbody and bump to the floor spot that I haven't seen him use ever in his WWF/E run to this point. Goldust did a great job selling on his comeback and throughout the match, even though the arm was no longer a real focus. And you know why that was? Because this became an incredible slugfest. Regal sold breaking a finger or something off of a punch and got pissed about that and got more vicious, somehow. There was a level of violence here not seen since Benoit died and Finlay left. Unfortunately, it seems like they get cut off right as it's going to enter classic territory. Regal wins with the Knee Trembler. ***1/2 Drew McIntyre vs. Chris Masters, Superstars (August 26th) This is great as you may expect. Not immediately so like Masters/Ziggler, but it's good early on. Basic stuff. Picks up when Drew starts taking some huge bumps for Masters. Picks up even more when Drew injures Masters' ankle against the post. He has some really great ankle work. A lot of stuff that he did in the Matt Hardy match from SD a few weeks back, but this is like 10-12 minutes instead of 5, so he does a lot more. Masters is also a way better seller. Masters has awesome selling again. No shocker. Masters being unable to lock his ankles on a small package because of the injury was awesome. Drew kicks out his leg and wins with the Future Shock DDT. *** |

This was alright. They've clearly hit a plateau with this match, and it's not going to really improve. There's only so good Kane can be, you know? He Chokeslams Rey on a chair to win. **1/2 After Kane leaves, Rey is hurt and ADR comes out. He says Rey is pathetic and looks like a dying dog, and somebody needs to put him down. So he attacks Rey's arm some more and throws him into the post. He puts his arm in the chair and puts on the Jujigatame and then he kept attacking the arm with the chair until referees and people made him stop. Match #2: CM Punk w/ SES vs. JTG Good 2 minute Punk squash. He wins with the GTS. ** Post-match, Punk gets on the mic. He says he leads by example, and he expects Luke Gallows to destroy Big Show tonight and he yells at them to be better or be gone. RAW REBOUND! Cody Rhodes shaves his legs. Match #3: Dolph Ziggler [c] w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. Kofi Kingston [WWE Intercontinental Championship - If Dolph is DQ'd, He Loses The Title] This is the point where they kind of run out of things to do together, as this is their 8th match together in 2010. The first 75% of this is sort of average stuff. No heavy Dolph bumping or matwork, and Kofi is back to doing horrible looking strikes and contrived shit. They fought on the floor and Vickie held Dolph back from getting in at 10, so Ziggler retains by count out. **1/2 Kofi chases Dolph off through the crowd. Match #4: Jack Swagger vs. MVP [Amateur Wrestling Match - If MVP Wins, Swagger Pays for a Party, if Swagger wins, he hosts the VIP Lounge] This was what it was. MVP got mad and punched Jack, so Jack won by DQ. Poop/45 Swagger puts on the ankle lock post-match. In the back, LayCool and Kaval look over LayCool's new photos. AND KAVAL SAYS FLAWLESS! Match #5: Alberto Del Rio vs. Carlos Sanchez AW YEAH, DATS ALEX KOZLOV! Good ADR squash. Jujigatame ends it. ** Match #6: The Big Show vs. Luke Gallows Serena, Joey, and K2 are there. This was a ton of fun for a 3 minute squash, essentially. Gallows got in some offense and it ruled, but then Show mostly murdered him. KO Punch ends it. **1/4 The Undertaker comes to the ring for his big return to SD. He says he might look dead, but he ain't dead yet. He says he is still very much the Dead Man and this is still his yard, and is coughing during this, like it's fucking Unforgiven and he's about to kill Gene Hackman. He says the guilty will not be pardoned and Kane is guilty of a treacherous betrayal that he will pay dearly for. He says Kane has a diseased soul and he thinks he can carry HIS holy grail. Kane then comes out on the stage and says Taker is a shell of the man he once was, and now he is the dominant brother and is bigger, stronger, and more powerful than Undertaker. He says he has nothing to prove and he is now the Devil's favorite demon. Taker then comes out with an all-time great line, "THE HOUSE THE DEVIL LIVES IN? I BUILT IT. BRICK BY FIERY BRICK. AND WHEN I COME CALLING, THE DEVIL STILL ANSWERS TO ME WITH, "SIR"." He says he is not worthy of that championship and he is not worthy of the power he stole from him, and he's not worthy of being his brother. He says he taught Kane everything he knows about evil, but he didn't teach him everything HE knows. And when the mood strikes him, the fight will be waiting, and it will always end the same. Kane says not this time and he vows on their mother's grave that he will never rest in peace. Awesome segment. Clint Eastwood Taker is the best incarnation of Taker since Big Evil Taker. |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Kane, Since 7/18/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Dolph Ziggler, Since 8/6/2010 WWE Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Melina, Since 8/15/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE Raw - 900th Episode August 30th, 2010 Boston, MA included an in-ring promo by Bret Hart in which he noted the 17-year history of Raw, saying he was unsure whether it would catch on at first, and that it had the most episodes in the history of prime time television; Hart said only he and the Undertaker are still with the company after all that time; as Hart went to introduce Taker, World Heavyweight Champion Kane interrupted to say Taker was now just a man after Kane's assault on him and that he was just like Hart, forever damaged; Kane then said Taker was last himself when he beat Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 26; Hart responded by saying Taker would beat Kane like he always does; Kane then said Taker took out an icon in Michaels so he would have to take out an icon himself in Hart; Kane put a choke on Bret, with WWE Tag Team Champions David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd running out to try to make the save; Kane knocked them to the floor when a gong sounded and the lights went out; when they came back on, Taker was in the ring standing between Kane and Hart; Kane then left the ring when Michael Cole received an e-mail from the general manager which read Hart would face Taker later in the show FLASHBACK: The first Raw. FLASHBACK: Austin and the zamboni Match #1: The Miz/Alex Riley vs. Daniel Bryan/Kaval vs. Kofi Kingston/Michael McGillicutty FUCK YEAH TEAM INTERNET! Only the second time they've teamed since they both rose to fame in 01/02. First was one of the best tag matches of the 2000s in them vs. Joe/Liger, which literally everyone should see. This...was a 3 minute sprint. They both ruled when they were in though. Horribly, Miz beats Kaval with the Skull Crushing Finale. ** Daniel Bryan kicks A-Ri off the apron to the floor and Miz hits Bryan with the MITB briefcase. TONIGHT: Cena/Orton/Sheamus/Edge/Jericho vs. Nexus in an elimination match Match #2: LayCool vs. Melina/Eve This was 50 seconds before Melina beat Layla. Meh. 1/4* after the bout, McCool took the mic and said the win was just like Melina, completely forgettable; Layla & McCool then challenged Melina to a unification match at Night of Champions; Melina then accepted but only if it was a lumberjack match, with Layla & McCool agreeing; moments later, Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim, Alicia Fox, Maryse, Jillian Hall, Brie & Nikki Bella, and Tamina then joined Melina and Eve at the entrance stage FLASHBACK: The Nexus debuts In the back, Nexus is now without Skip as he broke his ankle. Tarver says people think they're weak. MWAY says he will win the WWE Title and he has an idea to make people start talking differently. FLASHBACK: Bob Barker guest hosts In the back, Jericho says if he doesn't win the WWE Title at Night of Champions, he will leave Raw. Josh says he's threatened to live a ton of times and Jericho says he's going to prove tonight that he is the best in the world at what he does. LOL. Match #3: John Morrison/R-Truth vs. Cody Rhodes/Drew McIntyre [#1 Contender's Match] This is pretty good..............for 50 seconds. Then the ref throws it out when they all start fighting. Fuck you. Why even book this? Fuck this company. 3/4* Morrison and Truth fight them off post-match. FLASHBACK: Bret and Shawn make up Bret Hart and The Undertaker comes out for the match, but instead of the bell, Wade Barrett came out and got on the mic. He says this match isn't going to happen because this is Raw's 900th episode and people are sick of the past like Bret Hart and The Undertaker, and it's time to talk about the future. Taker then brawls with him and Wade rolls out to the floor. GONG! LIGHTS OUT! KANE IS IN THE RING AND BRET IS GONE! Taker and Kane fight, and Taker grabs him by the throat. The lights go out again now and when they come back on, Kane is gone! The other Nexus members run out now and they attack Taker. The lights go out again, and when they come on, Wade hits Taker with the Wasteland. Kane is now on the stage. Gabriel hits the 450 Splash and they all stand over Taker. Before his match, Swagger says he's returned to Raw as a conquering hero. Match #4: Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne Only 2 minutes, but Bourne did do well as usual. However, that cocksucker ADR comes out 30 seconds in to make this all about him, because this show is just the worst. Swagger wins while the camera is focused on ADR coming out. *1/4 ADR gets on the mic and talks about how he wanted people on Raw to see him destroying Rey last week, so he finds the next best thing and attack Bourne. He tries to break his arm with a chair too, but MOK comes out to save and Del Rio bails. God damn right. FLASHBACK: THIS IS YOUR LIFE! The SES comes out, now without Serena :(, to save this show. He starts off by saying he's better than The Rock, and he doesn't make crappy movies like The Tooth Fairy. He asks if people miss The Rock and says he doesn't miss him because he epitomizes this septic tank of a show that is Raw and for 900 episodes, this show has taught poor moral values. "Don't believe me? I've got two words for ya....KATIE VICK!" He says he will show four atrocious acts committed on Raw by Raw superstars. He shows the H/Orton home invasion, Edge and Cena fighting on a dock (and he says he would never throw someone into a body of water), DX invading WCW, and Austin and the beer truck. He says everyone would love to see Austin spray him with beer, AND THE GLASS SHATTERS! Nothing happens and Punk starts laughing. He says that's how disappointed he always feels when he sees all of them, and he's happy they're disappointed. He says he'll show one more clip, but this is a clip from a superior show, Smackdown, and it's Brock and Show breaking the ring! He says that represents things he could never be, like being criminally obese and says Big Show and....some other guy....were so big they broke the ring. Big Show then comes out and says if he wanted to embarrass him, he could show the tainted burrito from Eddie, his sumo match, or when he kissed Vickie. Punk says Show is boring, he has no friends, and nobody likes him. Show then clears the ring. BOOOOOOOOOOO. FLASHBACK: H's return in 2002 Josh interviews Sheamus on the stage and says he's the reason Triple H can't celebrate the 900th episode tonight, and he's never coming back. He says that's why he's being punished by having to fight 5 guys and he's the only real Irishman in this stupid city. FUCK YEAH, TELL THEM SHEAMUS. Edge then comes out and is all like DERP IVE WON EVERYTHING. He says Sheamus is Beaker and will be the champion next. Match #5: John Cena/Randy Orton/Sheamus/Edge/Chris Jericho vs. Wade Barrett/Michael Tarver/Justin Gabriel/Heath Slater/David Otunga [Elimination Match] Jericho immediately leaves and is counted out ahahahahahaha. Edge then shoves the ref to get intentionally DQ'd. This is pretty much average, and almost painfully so, considering SummerSlam. Sheamus is out next because LOLWWE Champion. Cena and Orton do stuff. Cena is beat after the 450 Splash and then Orton goes all OMGVIPER on Gabriel and Otunga before MWAY hits him with Wasteland to be the last man standing. **1/2 I need to take a break from 2010 WWE for a bit, I think. |

WWE Champion: Sheamus, Since 6/20/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Kane, Since 7/18/2010 WWE U.S. Champion: The Miz, Since 6/14/2010 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Dolph Ziggler, Since 8/6/2010 WWE Tag Team Champions: The Hart Dynasty, Since 4/26/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY WWE Diva's Champion: Melina, Since 8/15/2010 WWE Women's Champion: LayCool, Since 5/14/2010 WWE NXT August 31st, 2010 Albany, NY featured an opening video recapping the highlights of season 2, followed by comments from finalists Kaval, Michael McGillicutty, and Alex Riley about their chances of winning; included Ashley Valence introducing the pros - MVP, Zack Ryder, John Morrison, Mark Henry, and Cody Rhodes; moments later, WWE US Champion Mike Mizanin introduced Riley, Kofi Kingston introduced McGillicutty, and WWE Women's Champion Michelle McCool & WWE Women's Champion Layla introduced Kaval; Matt Striker introduced the eliminated contestants who were sitting ringside before saying the finalists would have a triple threat match; a brawl then ensued, during which Miz and Riley were knocked to the floor They introduce all the NXT Season 3 pros and rookies. Not watching season 3, so who gives a shit? I might watch the amazing episode with Punk on commentary. Match #1: Kaval vs. Alex Riley vs. Michael McGillicutty This went 10 minutes and was pretty much all Kaval. The other two were more boring than usual, but Kaval's stuff was awesome and dynamic as usual. Kaval hits the John Woo, but A-Ri shoves Kaval off the top when he tries the Warrior's Way and A-Ri steals the pin to win. ** Striker eliminates the eliminated guys. Most of them say A-Ri. Except Percy, who says McGillicutty. Husky says Mike wins because like him and Cody Rhodes, he was born better. Striker gets in and the first one eliminated is Alex Riley! Maybe they should SAY IT TO HIS FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE. Alex Riley then gives a good promo on how he made his name here and he would still bet that the future of the WWE is Alex Riley. Striker then has them go on the mic against each other. Joe calls Kaval LayCool's adopted ninja baby. Lame. He says he doesn't know whether to spank him or breast feed him. Wat. He keeps rambling on and says Kaval means flute. Kaval shows off his underrated mic skills by saying McGillicutty is set up perfectly to be a star, but he's a kid from New York with a high school diploma and a GED, and at every stage of the game, he's earned what he's gotten, and it he deserves to be here a whole lot more than him. Even Cole has to give props. Coming back, they count the votes AND KAVAL WINS! FUCK YEAH! He hugs LayCool and seems legitimately super fucking happy. Striker interview Hennig, and he says, "Starting this moment from now, from this moment on, this'll be the moment, starting now, of the genesis of the McGillicutty!" AHAHAHAHAHAHA OH MY GOD. He leaves and Kaval gets the mic. He thanks everyone, but the rookies from the crowd come in and attack him. MVP, Kofi, and Morrison come down to fight them off and have a horrible brawl. Titus takes a Helluva Kick from MVP, but then just stands there and they have this hideously lame grapple. A-Ri and McGillicutty come out to attack the Pros, but then A-Ri also hits Percy Watson. They sort of just stop fighting to team up on Kaval to end the show. That was awful. |

Gallows and Mercury were both great though. Lots of great looking basic heel stuff from Joey. Real shame he didn't stick around longer. Punk kicks MVP in the back as he runs off the ropes and Gallows wins with a Yakuza Kick.
