ADR comes out to open the show, and there's a mariachi band and shit in the ring. One of them is that faggot Luke from the last Tough Enough. He gets in and shows clips of his attacks on Rey Mysterio. He celebrates forcing Rey out of the WWE and says this pinata is just like Rey Mysterio. Maybe even bigger. He destroys it, and Christian comes out. He says ADR reminds him of someone, and he calls him Juan Bradshaw Layfield. He talks about how what he did last week was wrong and he challenges him to do that to someone who isn't already hurt, like him. ADR orders everyone out of the ring and goes to fight, but then ADR says not tonight, and he will make Christian wait before he makes him pay. ADR leaves, and when Christian goes to leave, Drew McIntyre runs from the crowd and knocks him off the apron. ADR then comes back out and taunts Christian before also leaving. Striker says Christian/Drew is NEXT~!

Match #1: Christian vs. Drew McIntyre
Unfortunately, this was only 5 minutes. Awesome 5 minutes though. Christian is selling injured ribs from the bump, so they again have a great focus. Great selling, brutal strikes, etc. Christian counters the Future Shock into a Jackknife Pin for the win.
**3/4

TONIGHT: Show vs. Punk/Gallows

Match #2: Michelle McCool w/ Layla vs. Kelly Kelly
Only 2 minutes, but K2 was botching pretty much everything here. Michelle wins with the Faith Breaker.
1/2*

In the back, T'Lo is trying to teach Hornswoggle English by having a psychologist come in. He wants electroshock therapy and T'Lo says it's for his own good. He does it and shocks Hornswoggle, so he shocks the doctor. He falls down motionless and T'Lo says they have to get out of here immediately, and they flee, having committed homicide.

Match #3: Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. Chris Masters
Awesome awesome 3 minute match. Masters' power stuff is all great and Ziggler takes some huge bumps again. He wins with the Peace Zig.
**1/2

Match #4: The Big Show vs. CM Punk/Luke Gallows w/ Joey Mercury

They got 7 minutes or so, so it was solid. The destruction of the SES is still a terrible idea, but they work well together. They finally get something going on Show, after he hurts Joey on the floor. Joey then walks out on them. Show makes his comeback, and Show makes Gallows tap to the Colossal Clutch.
**1/2

Post-match, Punk hits Gallows with the GTS and walks out on him. I believe this is the end of the SES. :(

featured Jack Swagger, along with his father, hosting an in-ring segment of the VIP Lounge; eventually, Swagger's dad said Swagger should do push-ups and let the crowd chant along with; after Swagger did roughly 30 push-ups, MVP interrupted, said the VIP Loung was under rennovations and began throwing furniture out of the ring; Swagger used his father, confined to a wheelchair, as a shield before MVP dropped the father with the Play of the Day and caused Swagger to fall over the top rope to the floor

Before the next match, Cody gets on the mic and talks about how out of shape Matt is, and he calls him Matt Hardy, Version Done.

Match #5: Cody Rhodes vs. Matt Hardy
Matt's ankle selling was good. Not 2007-8 level great selling, but good. They did stuff for 5 minutes or so, and Cody wins with the Cross Rhodes.
**1/2

In the...the back? I don't know. It's a dark room with candles and shit and Kane is there, so who knows. He says the final chapter is always a dark one, and the final chapter in The Undertaker's existence would be written at Night of Champions when he defeats him to retain his Holy Grail. He says the Undertaker's powers now belong to him, and in the arena, druids wheel out a casket. AND KANE GETS OUT OF THE CASKET FUCK YEAH! He gets in the ring and says he's seen many weaknesses from The Undertaker in recent weeks, and says he is no longer the Phenom. He says his sin is envy, like Taker said, but while The Undertaker's sin of pride will once again be his undoing, his sin of envy only makes him stronger, and after years of lusting after The Undertaker's powers, they're finally his, and envy is what got him to this point, and now nothing can stop him. The gong hits, and The Undertaker comes out. He fights Kane, but when he gets him by the throat, the lights go out. They come back on and Kane is gone. Taker opens the casket, but it's empty. Kane is back on the tron in the back (?) now and does his evil laugh to end the show.

WWE Raw
September 6th, 2010
Washington, DC

featured an opening in-ring segment in which Wade Barrett - alongside Heath Slater, David Otunga, Michael Tarver, & Justin Gabriel - cut a promo discussing Nexus's attack the previous week on the Undertaker; moments later, Otunga, Tarver, Slater, and Gabriel took the mic, said they were the new phoenoms of the WWE, bragged about their elimination match win the previous week over Team WWE, Slater noted he pinned WWE World Champion Sheamus as part of the match, and Gabriel boasted about hitting the 450 to both Taker and Cena in the same night, pinning Cena in the process; Barrett then noted he pinned Randy Orton to win the match and would win the WWE World Title at Night of Champions; Orton then appeared and said he took out two members of Nexus within 30 seconds the previous week with the RKO, with Barrett then challenging him to try the same on him; Michael Cole then received an e-mail from the Raw GM which read Gabriel vs. Cena and Orton vs. Barrett would take place later in the show with Nexus barred from ringside

Jericho comes out for his match and Anon GM rings in. He says because of what they did last week, if Jericho and Edge don't win their matches tonight, they are out of the WWE Title match at Night of Champions. Jericho demands to know who the GM is, and Morrison comes out for the match.

Match #1: Chris Jericho vs. John Morrison
Morrison has started to grow his stupid little beard. This is whatever. It's typical 2010 Jericho doing nothing of value until the finishing run. Morrison was Morrison. They had a fine enough finishing run. Morrison gets a shocking upset with Starship Pain.
**1/4

Match #2: Melina [c] vs. Alicia Fox [WWE Divas Championship]

Nothing match. Melina wins with the Slice.
3/4*

In the back, The Miz talks to Josh and says tonight is all about him and has something under a large blanket.

In the back, Edge talks to Zack Ryder. He says this isn't fair and says that ref last week said bad things about his mom. Zack says he loves Edge's mom, and he knows about title matches, so he wants to be Edge's opponent. Edge says he used to think Zack was a huge tool, but that's a great idea because Zack sucks. Zack says he's standing right here and Edge calls out to the GM to book it and if he doesn't, he will destroy the computer.

In the back, Maryse comes up to Ted Jr. with a note and she says she feels the same way. He is confused and did not send a note, and says he could tell her to her face. He says it could be for him, but she laughs.

Match #3: John Cena vs. Justin Gabriel
Really good 7 minutes. Classic Cena vs. lower ranked heel stuff. Cena dominates on the mat early on and is a dick about it. Gabriel takes over with cool offense that all looks really brutal in a good way. Like he's just hurling his body around. He doesn't usually do this well, but in this one match, Gabriel reaches that Jeff Hardy 07-09 state where his simple high flying both is visually impressive and looks painful to the opponent. Cena makes a comeback, but Gabriel is able to easily cut him off. Cena gets up to stop the 450 though and hits a Super FU to win. Gabriel comes out looking awesome.
***

I WANT MY SON BACK! BUT I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW!

The Miz is in the ring with some kind of display behind him. He talks about how he was told he had no right to be here and how he stuck around. He says he is now the biggest star here and unveils the display as a blown up shot of him on the cover of WWE Magazine. He talks about how this was his childhood dream and he's The Miz and and he's awesome, etc. Daniel Bryan then comes out and says they have a lot in common. He says nobody thought he'd be here either and he shits on his generic rock theme and he doesn't have Miz's style or the magazine cover, and he has to wear his gear in the back so security doesn't throw him out. If anything, he's the anti-Superstar, but if he gets a US Title shot, he CAN beat him. Miz says no, and he shows a fake cover of WWE Magazine with Miz tapping out. He says he will make him tap out, and Miz talks about how he's never liked him. Not on NXT, not at SummerSlam, and not right now. He says he can destroy Daniel Bryan so bad he'll beg to back to the minor leagues. Daniel asks if that's yes or no AND HE SAYS YES! AWESOME! Miz thanks him and he tries a cheap shot, but Daniel gets the LeBell Lock in, but Alex Riley comes out to save. Bryan drops Miz out and A-Ri gets put in and he taps.

THIS WEEK IN HISTORY: Nitro debuts

Edge came out for his match, and Anon GM says it is against Khali. Mother of fuck.

Match #4: Edge vs. The Great Khali
Not a match, but fantastic heel bullshit. Edge immediately goes to the floor and mocks him. Khali chases after him, but Edge kicks him in the knee on the ramp and runs back in to win by count out.
46/poop

Anon GM runs in again and says he won't acknowledge that win and he restarts it as a No DQ over the top rope challenge.

Match #5: Edge vs. The Great Khali [No DQ Over The Top Challenge]
This sucked, obviously. Edge rolled out and Khali stepped over the top rope to go over to attack him, but somehow, that is not the end of it. He tries it again, but this time, Edge pulls his legs to take him over the top, and Edge wins now.
1/4*

In the back, Josh interviews Jericho about how by his own promo last week, his career may be over, since he can't win the WWE Title at NOC now. Jericho says nothing, so Josh leaves. Morrison sits down next to Jericho and asks if he still thinks he's the best in the world at what he does and says things will get better.

Before the main event, Cole says Anon GM texted him and it's Cena vs. the winner of Orton/MWAY next week.

Sheamus, Cena, and Edge all come out to do commentary.

Match #6: Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett
This is real real mediocre. But over the last year or so, we have all learned that. They do some stuff, whatever. Darren Young comes out with the mic and says he wasn't the weak link, he was the missing link. Wade is distracted and Orton wins with the RKO.
**

Chaos breaks down now and Orton hits everyone but Cena with RKOs and they stare each other down.

TONIGHT: Taker vs. Punk

The Undertaker comes out to open the show, and he gets on the mic. He says Kane has always been a disturbed freak of nature, and most of his life, he's had to protect not only other people from Kane and Kane from other people, but he's had to protect Kane from himself. He says Kane only thinks he has the power of the darkness and he is still in control and would prove it at Night of Champions. He challenges Kane to make it No Holds Barred, and CM Punk comes onto the stage. He leads the fans in cheering for Taker and says this is Taker's moment, but they both know that nobody will ever see The Undertaker again after Night of Champions. He says Taker is a beat up broken down man who's had one too many fights, and for the first time, has bitten off more than he can chew because of his own delusions. Taker says what he sees in front of him is his next victim. Punk says there's doubt in his voice, and he'll be sending a message to everyone tonight that the power of him and the Universe and the power of the dark side cannot compare to the power of straight edge.

I WANT MY SON BACK

Match #1: Jack Swagger vs. MVP
Another boring match between them. They do stuff, and after injuring his ankle on the floor, Swagger wins with the Ankle Lock.
**1/4

In the back, LayCool argues about who will face Melina. Kaval asks them to stop complaining while he's trying to prepare for his match. They talk about how they got him here and mock his IT IS NOT THE SIZE OF THE FIGHTER promo and how he speaks in caps lock sometimes. He says they can talk later, and he leaves. They say he's gotten a big head. This is probably the end of this amazing pairing. :(

An awesome video airs on the history of Taker vs. Kane.

Match #2: Alberto Del Rio vs. Matt Hardy
This was good. ADR half-assing the Hamrick bump is upsetting. Be insane and do it all the way or don't bother. After that, it got good. Matt took an awesome bump off the apron. ADR had a good control segment. They do some stuff and ADR wins with the Jujigatame.
**1/2

He keeps up the attack, but Christian runs out to save.

BUT I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW

Match #4: Drew McIntyre vs. Kaval
Really really fucking awesome 4 minutes. Lots of awesome Kaval spots and bumps. Drew's stuff was also great, but this was a showcase for Kaval...before he lost. Which was weird. Drew wins with the Future Shock.
**3/4

DASHING GROOMING TIP: Facials

Kofi/Ziggler for the IC Title is announced for NOC, and if Dolph is DQ'd or counted out, Kofi will win the belt.

Match #4: Kofi Kingston/Chris Masters vs. Dolph Ziggler/Chavo Guerrero w/ Vickie Guerrero & Kaitlyn
This was good for the 2-3 minutes it lasted. Unfortunately. Kofi beats Ziggler with the Trouble in Paradise.
*3/4

Another fucking Legendary trailer.

Match #5: The Undertaker vs. CM Punk
Clearly their best match together. They already had good chemistry, but this is the only match during this run where they play up the idea of Taker as a worn down and hurt old guy in the entire match itself and not just during the finishing run or at points. Lots of great little moments where he misses stuff he would usually hit, sells of fatigue, etc. Punk's control seg was awesome as usual. Taker can't win with the Chokeslam or keep Punk up for the Tombstone, and Punk hits the GTS. When he goes for the cover though, Taker can use his legs to get the Gogoplata though, and Punk taps.
***1/2

Taker gets up, but then Kane's laugh is heard and Kane's pyro goes off.

WWE Raw
September 13th, 2010
Cincinatti, OH

Oh whoops, I don't have the show. Fuck you.

featured an opening backstage segment with John Cena, Randy Orton, Josh Matthews, & Eve beside the Raw Roulette wheel; moments later, Cena had Eve spin the wheel to determine what kind of match Cena and Orton would have later in the show, with the wheel landing on a tables match; Matthews then discussed the fact that the last tables match Cena was in, he lost the WWE World Title to Sheamus, with Cena then hyping the upcoming bout; included Justin Roberts introducing Chad Ochocinco, of the Cincinnati Bengals, as the guest host; Ochocinco then came out to the ring, welcomed the fans to the season premiere of Raw, and said he was the most handsome guest host Raw has had; WWE US Champion Mike Mizanin soon interrupted, praising his fellow Ohioan before referring to himself as a champion and saying Ochocinco would never hold a title because he plays for the "Bungles;" Ochocinco responded by saying his team was going to the SuperBowl and the Red were going to the playoffs; Miz followed by making fun of the team and saying they were overrated; Michael Cole then responded with an e-mail from the Raw GM that read the wheel would determine Miz's match for the night; Alicia Fox then appeared on the big screen and spun the wheel, landing on a submission match; Cole then said the non-title match would be against a wrestler of Ochocinco's choosing, with the guest host naming Daniel Bryan; featured an ad promoting Smackdown moving to SyFy Oct. 1; included a backstage segment in which Jillian Hall spun the wheel with Edge to determine Edge's upcoming match, both singing Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me;" featured a "Did you know?" graphic which read WWE provides Raw, NXT, Smackdown, and pay-per-views to the American (Armed?) Daniel Bryan fought WWE US Champion Mike Mizanin (w/ Alex Riley) to a no contest in a non-title submission match at around the 4-minute mark when Miz rolled out to the ring, took the mic, complained of a hernia, and said Bryan could face Riley if he wanted a fight (the match began during the commercial break)

Daniel Bryan defeated Alex Riley (w/ WWE US Champion Mike Mizanin) in a submission match at the 37-second mark with the LeBell Lock; after the bout, Miz attacked Bryan and held his face to the title belt, saying he would never hold it and he was average at best; moments later, Bryan reversed Miz into the LeBell Lock, forcing Miz to tap and prompting the crowd to chant "You tapped out"

Edge defeated Evan Bourne in a bodyslam challenge at 1:25; after the bout, Edge dropped Bourne with a spear; moments later, Michael Cole received an e-mail from the Raw GM which read Edge would compete in a second bodyslam challenge for attacking Bourne after the match

WWE World Champion Sheamus pinned John Morrison in a non-title falls count anywhere match at 6:43 after Chris Jericho hit Morrison over the back with a steel chair, moments after Morrison hit a crossbody from the top of the stage onto Sheamus at the entrance stage;

after the commercial break, Jericho was shown sitting in the ring and cut a promo saying he would remain sitting until he got an e-mail from the GM that he would be let back into the Night of Champions main event or he would quit; when there was no response, Jericho threatened to track the GM down and expose him to the world; moments later, an e-mail arrived which read the GM doesn't take ultimatums; Jericho responded to the "no chance in hell" statement by the GM, saying it wasn't Vince McMahon because McMahon wasn't a coward; another e-mail then arrived saying the match at Night of Champions would be an elimination match and Jericho was back in; moments later, Jericho guaranteed he was walking out of the pay-per-view with the title; a third e-mail then arrived saying Jericho was back in the match pending winning his handicap match against WWE Tag Team Champions David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd; Cole then said it would be a steel cage match (The Best of Raw 2010 DVD, The Best of Raw 2010 Blu-ray)

Christian is in the ring to open the show with The Peep Show and Ricardo introduces ADR as the guest, refusing to let Christian. He comes out and Christian says they've seen his vignettes for months and he's been here for about a month, but they don't really know him. He asks if he's the Next Big Thing, or maybe a male cheerleader, or a guy who eats worms, and asks if ADR will be a flash in the pan like those guys. ADR says Christian will end up washing his dishes if he keeps talking like that. Christian challenges him to a match at Night of Champions, but ADR says he likes Christian and doesn't want to break his wrist like he did to Rey and make him end up like all the peasants here. He says he'll do him a favor and think about it, so Christian slaps him. He throws off his jacket and scarf, but he composes himself and leaves. He stops on the stage and says he's thought about it, and his answer is....no.

Match #1: Cody Rhodes/Drew McIntyre vs. The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya
This gets like 8 minutes, so it is good. DH is randomly a good power wrestler once again. Drew and Cody have an awesome control seg on Kidd. They have a great style going with Drew's brutal strikes and Cody's more flashy stuff. DH has a fine hot tag, and when Drew throws Kidd off the apron into the table, DH is distracted and Cody hits him with Cross Rhodes to win.
***

Before his match, Kofi cuts a horrible promo about how Vickie is the only reason Dolph is champion still and when he wins the title, Vickie and Dolph will be split up and that will make him happy. What the fuck? that's a horrible thing to say.

Match #2: Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger
This gets like 15 minutes, so what the fuck? Really really dull. Swagger works the arm for the first half, but Kofi doesn't sell it and Swagger just kind of stops it. He then does generic stuff that doesn't look good and isn't sold well. Kofi makes a shitty comeback and he wins with Trouble in Paradise.
*3/4

included a backstage segment with Teddy Long, Hornswoggle, and a nun in which Long said the nun would help teach Hornswoggle to talk; moments later, Hornswoggle got Long in trouble with the nun to the point where she was about to hit Long with a ruler; Hornswoggle then noted he was responsible, with Long stopping the nun from hitting Hornswoggle and Hornswoggle emptying erasers to cover her in chalk dust; the nun then screamed that Hornswoggle needed an excorcism

Match #3: LayCool vs. Kelly Kelly/Rosa Mendes
About 90 seconds for LayCool to get a win before the PPV.
1/2*

Awesome hype video for the WWE Title match.

In the back, LayCool has Kaval draw names out of a hat to see which of them will fight Melina, and Michelle gets it. Layla is not happy. Michelle leaves and Kaval and Layla look at the names to see that they all say Michelle. FLAWLESS! Layla then says she will not be in Michelle's corner this Sunday.

ADR comes out to do commentary.

Match #4: CM Punk vs. Christian
This ruled, obviously, since it's 2 of the best in the company for 10 minutes. Yep, this got less than Kofi/Swagger. Fuck everything. Punk works this like he's a level above Christian and Christian is an awesome underdog babyface, so it all worked. Christian has awesome rib selling and the finishing run ruled. ADR gets up and says he's reconsidered the offer. Christian is distracted, and Punk hits the GTS for the win.
***

ADR brings a chair in and says his answer is still no. The Big Show comes out to save. ADR bails, and he hits Punk with the KO Punch.

featured a closing in-ring promo by World Heavyweight Champion Kane in which he said his upcoming match with the Undertaker at Night of Champions would not end like their previous matches and that it would now end on Kane's terms; moments later, Kane prepared to say Taker would rest in peace but Taker appeared with the two then brawling at ringside; Kane dominated the fight and eventually dropped Taker with a chokeslam and tombstone in the rin

WWE Night of Champions 2010
September 19th, 2010
Chicago, IL

Match #1: Dolph Ziggler [c] w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. Kofi Kingston [WWE Intercontinental Championship - Title Changes Hands on DQ or CO]

After not really getting it together for their last month or so of matches, they do here and put on a pretty awesome 12 minute opener. Lots of awesome Ziggler bumping, and he really carries this. Great work on the head and neck. They do some more stuff. Dolph stops Vickie from slapping Kofi on the apron, but then ducks the Trouble in Paradise and hits the Peace Zig to win.
***

In the back, Edge says he always wins when people least expect it, and tonight is just one of those nights.

CM Punk comes out to a huge pop and Lawler is somehow fucking surprised that a hometown hero gets treated as a hero no matter what. Punk says he loves Chicago, the parks, the skyline, Navy Pier, the history, everything. But what he hates are the inhabitants of Chicago. Fair enough. He says they ruined this beautiful city, and calls out unions and politicians and horrible cops, the fucking White Sox, and they are the scum of the Earth for ruining the greatest city in the world. He says it should be burned again to get rid of them, and he will bring forth a Straight Edge utopia. He says he got knocked out, but unlike all of them, he's still here because this is his house, and he runs from nobody. Awesome promo.

Match #2: CM Punk vs. The Big Show
Awesome 5 minutes. This being 5 minutes is total bullshit, but they make it work. Punk takes some huge bumps and rules on offense. He absolutely DIES when Show Spears him out of mid-air, and then he wins with the KO Punch. This managed to be awesome and hugely disappointing at the same time. I'd say LOLWWE in regards to dealing with people in their hometowns, but well...sup MITB?
**1/2

In the back, Jericho talks about beating 4 men in a Scramble match 2 years ago, 5 men in the chamber this year, and then when he beat Steve Austin and The Rock in one night. When the odds seem impossible, Chris Jericho comes out with the title.

Hype video for Miz/Danielson.

Match #3: The Miz [c] w/ Alex Riley vs. Daniel Bryan [WWE U.S. Championship]
This is a total masterpiece on Bryan's end. This is blatantly a Danielson performance, but Miz holds up his end of it sooooo much better than most people Danielson programs into his formula (see: Tyler Black, Doi, Wolves). Miz taps into a sense of brutality and great arm work that Danielson usually works in these matches against a younger babyface, which is really interesting. Danielson's selling is incredible and he just has a TON of fire. Lots of cool offense in the finishing run, and the A-Ri interference and bullshit is done really well. Danielson gets in the LeBell Lock AND MIZ TAPS OUT! FUCK YEAH!
***3/4

HELL IN A CELL: OCTOBER 3RD! YEP, TWO WEEKS.

In the back, Cena cuts a horrible promo on percentages.

Match #4: Michelle McCool [c] vs. Melina [c] [WWE Women's Championship vs. WWE Divas Championship - Lumberjill Match]
They work well together, but lumberjack/jill matches still suck as a rule. They do stuff, AND AW YEAH, SWERVE, LAYLA ATTACKS MELINA! FLAWLESS! Michelle wins with a Yakuza Kick to unify the belts.
*1/2

In the back, Wade says the winds of change have been blowing and tonight, he proves the winds of change have blown this far when he wins the WWE Title.

Hype video for Taker/Kane.

Match #5: Kane [c] vs. The Undertaker [World Heavyweight Championship - No Holds Barred]
This really didn't need 19 minutes. There's some good bits, but it just keeps dragging on forever. Kane eventually wins clean with the Tombstone.
**1/4

Taker has a hard time walking to the back and repeatedly almost collapses, and they commentate on how his powers may be totally sapped.

I WANT MY SON BACK BUT I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW

In the back, Orton cuts a promo. Something something R. K. O.

Match #6: The Hart Dynasty [c] w/ Natalya vs. The Usos w/ Tamina vs. Santino Marella/Vladimir Kozlov vs. Evan Bourne/Mark Henry vs. Cody Rhodes/Drew McIntyre [WWE Tag Team Championship - Tag Team Turmoil]
The Usos and HArts begin, and horribly, the Usos won. They then fight Koztino and it is just awful. The Usos win again. NIGGER FAGGOT are in next and they finally eliminate the Usos. Drew and Cody then are in and the last 6 minutes are a good match. Bourne is an awesome face in peril, etc. Cody beats Bourne with Cross Rhodes to win the belts. Last half was awesome, first half was mediocre. Call it in the middle.
**1/2

A video airs on ADR.

Hype video for the main event.

Match #7: Sheamus [c] vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett vs. Edge vs. Chris Jericho [WWE Championship - Elimination Match]
This is average. Within 90 seconds, Orton eliminates Jericho with the RKO. Then nothing much happens for like 15 minutes before shit gets hectic again. I like most of these guys generally speaking, if not in 2010, but by this point, pretty much every major match that isn't with MWAY in it has been done to death or just isn't good. Wade really doesn't hold his own against most main eventers and while he cuts a hell of a promo and has a great presence, he isn't ready, in-the-ring, to be a top guy. Anyways, yeah. Cena eliminated Edge with the FU. They fight some more, and Nexus comes out. Cena fights them off, but then turns into Wasteland and MWAY eliminates him. They surround Orton then, but Cena gets up and runs them off with a chair. Orton then eliminates Wade with the RKO, and then hits one on Sheamus to win the belt.
**1/2

Orton celebrates with the title for just a ridiculously long amount of time, and nothing happens for at least 3-4 minutes as he just keeps holding the belt up and posing.

WWE Raw
September 20th, 2010
Indianapolis, IN

featured an opening in-ring segment in which the new WWE World Champion Randy Orton was introduced to the crowd; before Orton could address the crowd, Sheamus interrupted and said he had been WWE World Champion twice and both times was screwed out of the title, then noting Orton had never beaten him in a one-on-one contest for the title; Orton replied that Sheamus had never beaten him and that if he wanted a rematch, he should get it fast before he gets a punt to the head; Michael Cole then received an e-mail from the Raw GM which read Orton would face Sheamus in a Hell in a Cell match in two weeks; moments later, Sheamus said he would beat Orton in Hell in a Cell, then ordered Orton to give him the title belt since he really didn't beat Sheamus for the championship; Orton then said he would hit the RKO on his own grandmother to keep the belt and would do the same to Sheamus's grandmother just to see the look on her face; Orton then tossed Sheamus the title belt before dropping him with the RKO; moments later, Orton returned to the ring and attempted to kick Sheamus in the head but Sheamus slid to the floor

The Hart Dynasty comes out to do commentary and they do awful, but Kidd says they'll get their rematch next week.

Match #1: Cody Rhodes/Drew McIntyre vs. Santino Marella/Vladimir Kozlov
Fine 3 minute showcase for the new champions. Santino and Vlad weren't much, as usual. Drew beats Vlad with the Future Shock.
*1/2

In the back, John Morrison does parkour.

In the back, Edge complains to Ryder about how he has nothing and the Anon GM will never give him a one on one title match. He keeps yelling, so Daniel Bryan walks over with a book and says he's trying to calm down and read and asks them to keep it down. Edge says he lucked into the US Title and he has no right to tell him anything, and he wants to hurt someone tonight, and he wants it to be him. Danielson says ok and leaves. Ryder calls him a loser and throws up the L sign, but it's backwards. Amazing.

Match #2: Chris Jericho vs. John Morrison
Morrison is uncomfortably orange now. However, he's entered this weird maybe 5-6 month run where he looks like he's actually finally becoming the wrestler he has the potential to be. Crazy innovative spots hit mostly cleanly, selling well, etc. Jericho's control seg isn't much, but it's not blatant time killing like most of his stuff in 2010. Good-ish finishing run, and Morrison wins with Starship Pain.
**1/2

Jericho again is visibly upset and takes forever to leave the ring.

In the back, Josh talks to Cena. He says he's not that mad about last night, because he enjoyed Orton winning and RKO'ing the Nexus. He says he said he would take them all out one by one, and we've gone from 8 to 5. He says when he takes out Wade tonight, the group will fall to pieces, so the winds of change stop tonight.

The Miz and A-Ri come out to do commentary, and Miz says he did not tap out and Daniel Bryan did not beat him and it was a fluke, etc. He says A-Ri is signed to him under a personal services contract, and he will regain his title, because he's The Miz and he did not tap out.

Match #3: Edge vs. Daniel Bryan
Good 4 minutes. Really great Danielson performance again. Lots of great bumping and selling and fiery comebacks. Miz hangs him up on the top rope though, and Edge wins with the Spear.
**1/2

Anon GM rings in and reverses the decision because of interference, and Daniel Bryan wins by DQ. Edge gets on the mic and says he's sick of this, the Anon GM, Cole, and the computer. Edge leaves, and then Miz and Riley beat down on Bryan in the ring, and Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale.

Match #4: Layla [c] w/ Michelle McCool vs. Melina [WWE Divas Championship]
This is like 90 seconds and Layla wins. Moving on.
1/2*

In the back, Jericho is with Josh, and he says he has an announcement, and it is of his DVD. He says he is not one to rest on his laurels and says he will continue to get better, and he says he has the IP address of Cole's computer, and he is this close to finding out who he is, and he's going to blackmail him and run this show and demand a title match against the winner of Orton/Sheamus. Orton comes over and says they should just fight next week, and if Jericho wins, he can have his title shot whenever he wants. Jericho accepts.

Match #5: R-Truth/Eve vs. Ted DiBiase/Maryse
GET CRUNK. FUCK YOU. This was 2:30, and was mostly the women. Eve beats Maryse.
1/2*

Ted and Maryse argue and the words "I will have you" show up on the tron.

Cena comes out for his match vs. Wade, but when Nexus comes out, Wade gets on the mic. He says if Cena wants him one on one, he will have to beat each other member of the Nexus in a gauntlet match, and Cena accepts, for whatever reason.

Match #6: John Cena vs. Justin Gabriel/Heath Slater/Michael Tarver/David Otunga [Gauntlet Match]
Slater is first. Their match is generally good for 2 minutes, but not overly impressive. Cena wins with the FU. Otunga is next and that is absolutely awful. Cena soon wins with a cradle though. Tarver is in next and is awesome on offense for 90 seconds or so before Cena gets on the STFU to win. Gabriel is in last and they have another good match. Lots of great Gabriel offense and Cena selling. The rest of the Nexus gets involved then for the DQ.
**1/2

Cena gets a chair when Wade brings one in though, and he runs them off. Cena challenges Wade to a match at Hell in a Cell since he just got through his gauntlet, but Wade says he has nothing to gain. He gets an idea though and says he'll accept Cena's challenge if Cena joins Nexus if he loses. Cena says he'll accept if they add the stipulation that if he wins, Nexus is history, and Wade agrees.

WWE Smackdown

Match #1: Kane vs. Chris Masters

Good 6 minutes. Masters did well as usual. Kane doesn't work a limb and has usual Kane offense, so this isn't exactly Masters as his greatest. Kane wins with the Chokeslam.
**1/4

Post-match, Kane brags about his win and says he can smell The Undertaker's fear throughout the arena. He says he has a challenge for The Undertaker later tonight, and he would destroy his brother's legacy once and for all.

Match #2: Cody Rhodes/Drew McIntyre [c] vs. The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya [WWE Tag Team Championship]
They only get 4 minutes this week, because fuck this company, but it was still really good. Drew beats Kidd with the Future Shock.
**1/4

In the parking lot, Christian is hurt on the ground holding his chest and arm. ADR stands over him and says this is the time and place he was talking about. Referees and people come over and ADR leaves.

RAW REBOUND!

featured a backstage segment with Hornswoggle, Trent Barretta, Caylen Croft, and Teddy Long in which Barretta & Croft held up a "Smackdown moving to SyFy Oct. 1" box and started packing up in Long's office

In the back, CM Punk is getting ready and Luke Gallows comes in. Punk says he's not worthy of Straight Edge and tells him to leave now. Gallows grabs him by the throat and shoves him against the wall though, and says Punk doesn't have the right to cast judgment on anyone, and he would see him in the ring tonight.

Match #3: Kaval vs. Chavo Guerrero
Really good 4 minute Kaval match again. Lots of awesome spots and kicks and shit....and then Chavo fucking wins clean? What the fuck? God fucking damnit.
**1/2

In the back, Taker is sitting on the staircase and coughing, and looks really hurt and tired.

included an in-ring promo by Del Rio in which he bragged that all his opponents end up in the hospital, noting Christian as well as Rey Mysterio Jr.; Del Rio then said Mysterio would return to Smackdown the following week and wanted another match with Del Rio but Del Rio wasn't interested in fighting; moments later, Christian came out and fought with Del Rio until Ricardo Rodriguez grabbed Christian's leg, allowing Del Rio to gain the upperhand and apply the armbreaker and then assault Christian with a steel chair on the floor; Christian was then tended to by referees and trainers

Match #4: The Big Show vs. The Gatecrashers
This is under a minute for Show to kill them. Was what it was.
3/4*

included Josh Matthews conducting a backstage interview with Jack Swagger regarding Smackdown's debut on SyFy the following week in Swagger's home state of Oklahoma, with Swagger then showing off his college jersey; moments later, Hornswoggle, Croft, & Barretta stuffed Swagger's things in their moving box and walked off without him noticing

Match #5: CM Punk vs. Luke Gallows
Really good three and a half minutes. Gallows' offense was all really awesome and Punk bumped and sold really well as usual. Punk wins with the GTS. Damn shame that this only got 3 minutes, but then this episode kind of sucks.
**1/4

Match #6: Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero & Kaitlyn vs. MVP

Another good showing from Dolph. MVP isn't much here. Vickie gets mad at Kaitlyn checking on Dolph on the floor, and they argue. Kaitlyn shoves her down and leaves. They then do some stuff, and when MVP gets going, Dolph bails on the match and takes a count out loss.
**1/2

In the back, The Undertaker is still out of it, and a door opens. He says to get out, but then he looks to see who it is. AND TAKER'S EYES ROLL BACK AND HE'S BACK! OH SHIT!

Kane comes out to the ring and he gets on the mic. He says beating his brother once wasn't enough, and he wants to do the job inside his own match, where he first debuted to destroy his brother, and he wants Taker at Hell in a Cell. Druids then come out with a red casket and Kane laughs. He opens the casket, BUT PAUL BEARER IS IN THE CASKET WITH THE URN! UNDERTAKER COMES OUT AND THEY FIGHT AND TAKER GETS THE BETTER OF KANE THIS TIME! BEARER GETS IN THE RING, AND TAKER BOWS BEFORE THE URN AGAIN! AWESOME!

To open the show, Miz and A-Ri came out and Miz was on the mic. He says he will continue to beat down, humiliate, and embarrass Daniel Bryan every week until he gets his title rematch. Danielson comes out and Miz says he doesn't even have a tag partner to fight them. Bryan says he has a tag partner, and it's one who knows him better than anyone else, and oh great, it's John Morrison.

Match #1: Daniel Bryan/John Morrison vs. The Miz/Alex Riley
Good 5 minutes. Mostly Danielson's doing, but Morrison and Miz weren't actively bad. But god damn, A-Ri was. Morrison accidentally hits Bryan from the apron and then Miz hits him with the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.
**1/4

They all keep brawling post-match, so Anon GM rings in and makes Bryan/Miz/Morrison for the US Title in a Submissions Count Anywhere Match at HIAC.

TONIGHT: Orton vs. Jericho

Match #2: Divas #1 Contender Battle Royal
This what it was. Whatever. Natalya wins.
1/2*

I WANT MY SON BACK

In the back, Maryse is mad about losing and Ted tells her to stop whining. Another letter is delivered and it says "Next week, you will be mine."

Sheamus comes out and gets on the mic. He talks about the Irish race and how the first prince to put his hand on the kingdom would be king. He says the winner cut off his own hand to get his hand on the kingdom, but his fiery red hand won him the race and the kingdom of Ireland. He says he will cut off his own hand to win back the WWE Title, and he should go talk to the master of Hell in a Cell, Triple H, what he can do, etc. Can't wait for the Sheamus/H blowoff at Mania! He issues an open challenge and fucking Khali comes out.

Match #3: Sheamus vs. The Great Khali
This is a minute before Sheamus is DQ'd for using a chair on the floor.
3/4*

Sheamus hits two Brogue Kicks to fell Sheamus. DAH!

Edge comes out for The Cutting Edge and his guest is the GM computer. He asks him why he's a coward, so GM says Edge is a moron and he's protecting his identity. Edge says this is awful and GM asks Edge why he despises him so. Edge asks why it keeps interfering with him and then asks why he's arguing with a computer. He says he'll just ask Jericho who the Anon GM is, but computer says Jericho is bluffing, and Edge has a match next. Cena then comes out. Great. This again.

Match #4: John Cena vs. Edge
This is whatever. Again, great match 4 years ago, nothing now. I'm pretty sure they wrestled. Edge wins with the Spear, but Cena's foot was under the bottom rope, so the GM restarts it. They fight a few minute more and Cena wins with the STFU.
**

Post-match, this amazing thing happens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfAg_VB6CoE

Match #5: Mark Henry/Evan Bourne vs. Justin Gabriel/Heath Slater w/ Nexus
During this match, Cole says that during Cena/Wade at HIAC, if Nexus is around the match, Cena wins automatically. This is a great great 3 minutes. Awesome Bourne bumping performance and MOK was MOK, so that was good. Nexus were fine enough. Gabriel's shit looked good. 450 Splash ends it on Bourne.
**

Wade gets on the mic post-match and says the Nexus is coming to Smackdown this week for the godawful premiere episode on SyFy, and Tarver says nothing can stop them.

Match #6: Cody Rhodes/Drew McIntyre [c] vs. The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya [WWE Tag Team Championship]
Good for the 3 minutes it lasted. Drew shoves Kidd off the top into DH Smith and cody then hits Cross Rhodes to win.
**

Post-match, Kidd and DH argue and DH walks on on him.

Match #7: Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho
This is apparently their first ever one on one match, not counting their IC Title match in 2004, or their WWE Title match in 2007. Rough start, but really great second half. Sheamus comes out to watch. Unfortunately, right as they're getting going into a finishing run, Sheamus gets involved for the DQ.
**3/4

Orton hits him with the Hanging DDT and tries the punt, but Jericho cuts Orton off with the Codebreaker. He brings a chair in, but lol can't do a week with Orton looking weak, and Orton hits the RKO. He then also punts Jericho just because, and now Jericho is gone for a year or so.

WWE Smackdown
October 1st, 2010
Oklahoma City, OK

This show sucked. Beyond a usual way that Raw sucks and is boring, this show just fucking sucked. Lots of painfully short matches with average booking, then a godawful Cena/Kane match, and just really a bad pro wrestling show. Apart from the debut of the Swagger Soaring Eagle, which while incredible, does not make it worth it to review this show. Not like I'm missing anything huge match-wise that will affect rankings.

Smackdown! - shown live - debut on the SyFy Network; featured a new show opening to the tune of Green Day's "Know Your Enemy;" included an in-ring segment in which Jack Swagger, wearing a cape, came out with an eagle mascot - the Swagger Soaring Eagle - to celebrate his return to Oklahoma; the ring was decked out in red, white, and blue with several of Swagger's college jerseys and jackets on display; Swagger said he put Oklahoma on the map and didn't even get a parade on his return; Swagger said he and his mascot had moved from Oklahoma to Texas, then saying Texas would beat Oklahoma the next day in their college football game; Swagger said he was the king of Oklahoma and put a crown on his head as the eagle bowed before him; moments later, Edge interrupted to say Swagger, his cape, and the eagle were stupid; Edge then punched the eagle as Swagger went out to the floor, then dropped the eagle with the spear; featured a backstage segment with Nexus in which Wade Barrett said any Smackdown wrestlers who touch them would be suspended indefinitely and that they would be the lumberjacks when John Cena faces World Heavyweight Champion Kane later in the show; included an ad promoting 'Legendary' on DVD; featured a vignette in which WWE Tag Team Champion Cody Rhodes gave tips on how to apply deodorant; included a "Did you know?" graphic which read Smackdown had been seen 2.9 billion times in the US since its debut in 1999; featured a video package recapping Paul Bearer's return the previous week; included an ad promoting "Breaking the Code: Behind the Walls of Chris Jericho;" featured an in-ring promo by Alberto Del Rio; during Del Rio's entrance, footage was shown of his attack on Christian the previous week and it was announced Christian underwent surgery as a result; moments later, Del Rio asked for Rey Mysterio Jr. to come out, with Del Rio's ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez carrying out a chihuahua wearing a Mysterio mask; Del Rio then apologized to 'Rey' and kissed him on the cheek, only for the real Rey to run out to the ring; Mysterio dominated a brief fight and attempted the 619 only for Rodriguez to grab Rey's foot, allowing Del Rio to escape to the floor; Mysterio then hit the 619 on Rodriguez as Del Rio went backstage (Mysterio's return after a month absence); included a video segment recapping the WWE's 25-year relationship with the Make-a-Wish Foundation, showing the multiple wishes granted over the years with the likes of Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Rock, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Batista, Ted Dibiase, as well as current stars, mixed with comments from WWE Divas Champion Layla, John Cena, Triple H, and Make-a-Wish Foundation's David Williams regarding the impact the superstars have had on the organization:

MVP fought WWE IC Champion Dolph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero) to a no contest at 1:40 when Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, David Otunga, & Michael Tarver came out and assaulted Ziggler on the floor; moments later, they surrounded MVP in the ring before eventually ganging up on him, ending with Gabriel hitting the 450 splash; moments later, the Big Show walked out and fought with Nexus but was eventually beaten down and knocked to the floor; John Cena then ran out and was beaten down until Show hit Slater with a steel chair and cleared the rest of Nexus from the ring; Wade Barrett then appeared on the big screen from backstage, saying that was the last time Cena would receive a beating from Nexus since Cena would join the group at Hell in a Cell; Barrett then showed he was standing beside Teddy Long, then said he was close friends with David Howe, the president of SyFy and fellow countryman, and Howe had allowed Barrett to call the shots during the show; Long then announced Show would face Nexus in a 5-on-1 handicap match and that Cena would face World Heavyweight Champion Kane; after the commercial break, Michael Cole joined Todd Grisham & Matt Striker on the commentary team

Natalya Neidhart, Kelly Kelly, Brie & Nikki Bella defeated WWE Divas Champion Michelle McCool, WWE Divas Champion Layla, Maryse, & Alicia Fox at 2:35 when Maryse submitted to Natalya's Sharpshooter; during Natalya's entrance, it was noted she would challenge McCool at Hell in a Cell; the commentary team promoted Mick Foley's 'Countdown to Lockdown' book during the match; late in the bout, Hornswoggle came out from under the ring and chased Layla until McCool kicked him in the face

Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, & Michael Tarver defeated the Big Show in a handicap match at 1:34 when referee Charles Robinson stopped the match as Show was caught in a headscissors from Barrett, as well as armbars and leglocks from the other members; after the bout, Gabriel twice hit the 450 splash on Show; after the commercial break, footage was shown of Show struggling to return backstage after the attack

The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) pinned CM Punk with the tombstone at 4:20

WWE World Champion Randy Orton pinned WWE Tag Team Champion Cody Rhodes (w/ WWE Tag Team Champion Drew McIntyre) in a non-title match at 2:23 with the RKO; after the bout, Orton dropped McIntyre with the RKO only to be attacked by Sheamus and be kicked in the face

John Cena fought World Heavyweight Champion Kane to a no contest in a non-title lumberjack match at around the 8-minute mark; Wade Barrett, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Michael Tarver, & David Otunga were the lumberjacks for the match; after Cena and Kane fought with the lumberjacks, the lights went off in the arena and Undertaker's gong sounded; moments later, Taker and Paul Bearer appeared in the ring; Taker then brawled with Kane into the crowd before returning to the ring and dropping Kane with the chokeslam; Kane escaped to the floor as Taker signalled for the tombstone

WWE Hell in a Cell 2010
October 3rd, 2010
Dallas, TX

Match #1: Daniel Bryan [c] vs. John Morrison vs. The Miz [WWE U.S. Championship - Submissions Count Anywhere]

Great match. Danielson is fantastic at adding structure and story to three ways so they aren't just cool spots. Both men hate Miz and go for him, but he is a sneaky little shit. Danielson breaks out fucking Cattle Mutilation for a bit, leading to Cole being Cole. WHAT A NERD! Lots of inventive spots and everyone was working stuff in a good way. They had some great stuff on the stage and Morrison did a huge dive off the set. Danielson gets the LeBell Lock on the ramp and Miz taps out.
***

LEGENDARY ON DVD!

Hype video for Orton/Sheamus.

Match #2: Randy Orton [c] vs. Sheamus [WWE Championship - Hell in a Cell]
This was alright. I guess it was good, but it still went on too long at a totally retarded 23 minutes. It's pretty obvious that this is not a match that deserved the Cell at all. The issue with this match and with most Orton fare post-face turn is that nothing's really bad about it but literally nothing stands out or is memorable after it's happened. Sheamus doing the Irish Curse Backbreaker on top of the steps gets shat on, but I kind of get it. It's this weird retardedly great subtle logic. Usually during a Backbreaker, the guy taking it has his feet hit the mat to take away some of the impact. If Orton is elevated and his feet are in the air when his back hits the knee, it would have more impact. But nobody explained it at all, and I think I'm the only one who's thought about this. Anyways, Orton with the RKO on the steps. Whatever!
**1/2

BRAGGING RIGHTS: 10/24

In the back, Josh interviews the NXT girls but Nexus walks over and they scram. Josh asks if this is the end of Nexus with none of them allowed to interfere. Wade says he's more than capable on his own and he will win and he will have a gift for Cena, and Tarver pulls out a Nexus armband.

Ricardo is in the ring, and fuck yeah Ricardo. He brings out ADR so that's something. He brags about taking out Christian and about the chihuahua he dressed up as Rey. He asks for his next challenge on his WWE PPV debut and says he's better than Mark Cuban, Nolan Ryan, and Tony Romo. Edge comes out and says he's not out here to defend Rey Mysterio, but Alberto, his announcer, and his wink were all stupid, and he's decided to get all of the stupid things out of the WWE, like the Anon GM and the Swagger Soaring Eagle. Jack comes out and says Edge will apologize for injuring his mascot. ADR attacks Edge and Swagger helps, but Edge fights them off. Anon GM rings in and says Edge will apologize to him tomorrow night and books Edge/Swagger now. Goddamnit.

Match #3: Edge vs. Jack Swagger
God damn, this was fucking boring. Just insanely dull. They did stuff. Swagger did boring work on the ribs, Edge sold none of it, and won with the Spear.
*3/4

DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME

Hype video for Cena/Wade.

Match #4: John Cena vs. Wade Barrett [If Cena Wins, Nexus Disbands - If Wade Wins, Cena Joins Nexus]
Awesome Cena performance. He randomly makes with matwork and a dropkick early on. Striker inexplicably is rooting for Wade because he wants change. Fuck you. Anyways, Cena takes some awesome bumps and Wade breaks a lot of good offense. Nexus comes out for a distraction but WWE's babyfaces fight them away. They have a great finishing run and something awesome happens on commentary:

Striker: NOTE HOW THE GUYS ARE ROOTING FOR BARRETT AND KIDS AND GIRLS FOR CENA!
Lawler: So?
Striker: I'm just saying!
Lawler: Your point?
*awkward silence*

Anyways, yeah. Some awesome nearfalls. Cena has the STFU on as fucking Joe Hennig hops the rail to distract the ref. HUSKY HARRIS THEN ALSO DOES AND HITS CENA WITH SOMETHING AND WADE COVERS TO WIN!
***

Nexus comes out and parades Wade on their shoulders.

Make a Wish video.

Match #5: Michelle McCool [c] w/ Layla vs. Natalya [WWE Divas Championship]
Good for 5 minutes. Lots of cool spots. Nattie has the Sharpshooter on, but Layla throws a shoe for the DQ.
**

Hype for the main event.

Match #6: Kane [c] vs. The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer [World Heavyweight Championship - Hell in a Cell]
Mixed bag here, but mostly bad. The work on Taker's knee sucked, but his selling ruled. Then he just kind of stopped selling midway through. Also, this went 22 minutes in another retarded decision. Bearer got in and when Taker tried the Tombstone, Bearer opened the urn and a light came out to blind him. He then gave the urn to Kane and he hit Taker with it and hit the Chokeslam for the win.

featured an opening in-ring segment in which Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Heath Slater, Michael Tarver, & Justin Gabriel came out, with Barrett spoke of his win the previous night over John Cena and identified the two men who interfered in the bout as Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty; Barrett then said he didn't know either man, did not ask for their help, and they are not part of Nexus; moments later, Barrett called out the other members for almost getting him disqualified in the bout but then said it was a night to celebrate before then asking Cena to come out to the ring; Barrett told Cena it was the best thing that could have happened to him, with Tarver telling Cena he failed at trying to end Tarver's career and handed him a Nexus armband; moments later, Cena took off his own armband and replaced it with the Nexus one; Slater then gave Cena a statement that he had to read to the fans which said any enemy of Nexus was now an enemy of his; Barrett followed by saying Cena and a member of Nexus of Cena's choosing would face Evan Bourne & Mark Henry later in the show, with Cena choosing Tarver for the opening bout

Match #1: John Cena/Michael Tarver w/ Nexus vs. Mark Henry/Evan Bourne
This actually got time, so it was good. It was all Tarver in the ring though. He's good though, so it was a fun 5 minutes. Bourne was great as usual. Cena refused to make a tag and instead signed autographs for fans at ringside. MOK then beat Tarver with the World's Strongest Slam.
**1/4

Cena gets on the mic post-match and says he intends on destroying Nexus from within, starting now. Cena delivers an awesome beating with the mic, a big Lariat, and then he goes to the floor. He throws him onto the bottom of the steps several times and puts on the STFU for a minute or so. Cena lets go and Anon GM rings in. He says Cena can no longer attack Nexus members and he has to take orders from Wade Barrett, or he will be fired.

Match #2: Natalya vs. Alicia Fox
This is under a minute and Nattie wins.
1/2*

In the back, Johnny Knoxville asks Ryder for a high five, but a big hand hits him. Goddamnit.

In the back, Cena goes into the Nexus locker room and Husky and Joe are there now. Cena tries to leave, but Wade says it's time they talked about the future.

Match #3: Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
This is 30 seconds and Sheamus is DQ'd for an excessive beating. God fucking damnit. It's taunting me now, isn't it?
1/2*

Sheamus hits him with the High Cross post-match.

The Anon GM stand is in the ring and Cole says he will no longer be communicating with his voice altered, but it will be via e-mail through him again, THE VOICE OF THE WWE, MICHAEL COLE! Edge comes out to the ring and says he's a on a crusade against stupid. A GM ruling through the internet is stupid, and Cole has been the personification of stupid since 1997, and he would rather listen to a recording of JR than a live Michael Cole. Edge says to just wait until he becomes WWE Champion. Anon GM rings in and Cole says there's a #1 Contenders Battle Royal tonight, but Edge will not be in it, because he is now drafted to Smackdown! Edge says that's great, because he can get away from this stupidity with the GM and that tool Michael Cole. The Miz and A-Ri come out and he says Cole is a visionary. They have a mediocre exchange of words and Miz says he will either lead the Raw team at Bragging Rights or win the WWE Title. They fight and Edge hits Riley with the Spear, but Miz hits him with the Skull Crushing Finale.

In the back, Cena is with Nexus. Wade says he wanted Tarver gone anyways, and he likes Cena's initiative. He says tonight, Cena will help him win tonight's battle royal. Wade says he's ordering him to help him win, and Otunga tries to talk shit, but Wade tells him to shut up and says Cena will help him win, or he's fired.

Match #4: LayCool vs. The Bella Twins
This was only a minute unfortunately, but LayCool wore headset mics for this, so it was amazing. Bellas win with a twin switch.
FIVE BILLION STARS

featured a backstage segment with Maryse and Knoxville in which Ted Dibiase Jr. walked in, thinking Knoxville was the one who sent letters to Maryse in recent weeks; moments later, Dibiase walked into the giant hand that hit Ryder earlier in the show; Maryse was then hit with the hand as well

Knoxville comes out and tries to plug his movie, but Ted and Maryse come out to get him. Ted knocks him out with the Million Dollar Dream, but then words on the screen come up and they say "YOU ARE MINE". AND GOLDUST IS IN THE RING BEHIND THEM, AND HE HITS THE FINAL CUT! GOLDUST LEAVES WITH THE MILLION DOLLAR TITLE!

Awful Make-a-Wish video.

In the back, Otunga talks to Cena and he says he can make this Nexus thing work, and he's here if he ever wants to talk.

Match #5: #1 Contender's Battle Royal
This was good. Focus was on Nexus surviving a long time, so you didn't really get a lot of great actual wrestling. The only other people who really got highlighted were Sheamus and Miz and Morrison. Comes down to Cena, Wade, Morrison, and Sheamus. Morrison knocks himself off the apron like an idiot when kicking Wade. Cena tosses Sheamus, and then Wade forced Cena to eliminate himself, and he does so.

William Regal vs. Darren Young, Superstars (October 7th)
SCOTT STANFORD DEBUTS ON COMMENTARY! Awesome 4 minutes. Regal has awesome selling of Young's early arm work before he starts beating the shit out of Darren. Wonderful Regal beating. Young has a really good comeback and throws a great Sick Kick. Regal hits the Knee Trembler for the win, and Young had a great sell of it. I want like 5 rematches now.

Fucking Cole has now joined Smackdown too, making commentary even worse.

TONIGHT: REY VS. ADR

Match #1: Edge vs. Jack Swagger w/ Swagger Soaring Eagle
Right, this needed a rematch. On the bright side, it was less awful than at HIAC, but still not any good at all. Just not as boring. Edge Speared the Eagle again and he got stretchered out. Edge then beat Swagger with a Spear too.

DASHING GROOMING TIP: HOW TO BRUSH TEETH

Match #2: Layla vs. Kelly Kelly
McCool and Nattie were at ringside. This is under 2 minutes and Layla wins.
1/2*

after the bout, Layla tried to attack Natalya but Natalya went to put her in the Sharpshooter until McCool pulled Layla out to the floor

included an in-ring promo by the Big Show in which he promoted his movie ‘Kucklehead’ which premieres Oct. 22 and then announced he was the team captain for Smackdown’s team at Bragging Rights; Show then introduced Hornswoggle as the team mascot, with Hornswoggle coming out wearing a viking helmet and blonde braids, Smackdown T-shirt, and blue face paint; Show then said he would be keeping a close eye on the Smackdown talent to choose his team; moments later, Trent Barretta & Caylen Croft came out and said they wanted to be on the team, with Show saying he didn’t know who they were; after Show said he had to think about it, Barretta & Croft said they could get traded to Raw and be part of Mike Mizanin’s team, then taking off their Smackdown shirts to reveal Raw shirts; Show responded by hitting a double chokeslam

Match #3: Cody Rhodes/Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston/Kaval
Really great 3 minutes. Cole spends the match burying the faces and Smackdown in general. Good control seg by the champs, awesome Kaval hot tag, etc. Cody beats him with the Cross Rhodes. :(
**1/4

included an in-ring segment in which Paul Bearer introduced World Heavyweight Champion Kane and bragged about Kane’s victory over the Undertaker at Hell in a Cell; moments later, with music playing in the background, Kane spoke of tricking Taker as the crowd chanted “Undertaker” and said Taker now answers to him; Kane finished by saying that he and Bearer were just warming up and that it wasn’t over for Taker

Clips air of Rey's return last week.

Grisham: MVP has a lot of gold, he's a baller

Striker: Do you even know what that is?

Grisham: Yes, it's a precious metal.

Match #4: Dolph Ziggler [c] w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. MVP [WWE Intercontinental Championship]
Good not great. Mostly Ziggler's doing, since MVP still doesn't give a shit. Vickie is mad about Dolph hugging Kaitlyn on NXT, so she walks out on him. Near the end, Kaitlyn comes out to trip MVP and Dolph hits the Peace Zig to win.
**1/2

Vickie comes out on the stage and Dolph denies having anything to do with Kaitlyn.

A video airs on Tribute to the Troops.

RAW REBOUND!

Match #5: Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio
Holy shit, this was great. Really fantastic Rey performance. One of those Rey performances that is so great that you get mad at him for not doing this all the time. He has a great angry opening of revenge spots on ADR's arm and then a sweet dive. He then takes a killer bump off the top to the floor. ADR is so flustered that he doesn't work on the arm, and as a result, he has no point of focus to cut off Rey's comebacks like in their first match. Good counters at the end and Rey wins with the 619 and Penguin Splash.

John Cena comes out to open the show and talks about how hard the last week has been for him, having to willingly give up a WWE Title shot to Wade Barrett. The Miz and Alex Riley come out to the ring, and he says he's been named the captain of Team Raw and he wants a team of winners, not a team of people he likes, and he wants Cena on his team. Cena says this is a good idea, but it'd be a better one if Miz wasn't captain. Wade Barrett comes out and says he doesn't want Cena doing anything at Bragging Rights except for being in his corner when he challenges Orton. Cena says he can do both, and Wade AMAZINGLY just deadpans, "You CAN...but you will not." Anon GM rings in and says tonight will have a series of qualifying matches for Team Raw and the main event would be Miz vs. Cena, with the winner being the captain. Miz says he'll beat Cena and then if Wade is WWE Champion at the end of the night, he'll cash MITB in on him. WADE THEN HEADBUTTS MIZ! YES! They fight him and Wade runs them off and yells at Cena for not helping.

Match #1: R-Truth vs. Ted DiBiase [Team Raw Qualifier]
This is 3 minutes of nothing, and the wimminz are there. Truth wins with the Lie Detector after Goldust comes on the stage with the Million Dollar Title to distract Ted.
*1/4

Match #2: John Morrison vs. Tyson Kidd [Team Raw Qualifier]

This was apparently supposed to be a three way also involving DH Smith, but he was not in the building, according to Cole. This was a fine enough 3 minute spotfest. Some cool spots and Morrison was crisp again, as he has been for the last month or so.
**

included a backstage segment with Michael McGillicutty, Husky Harris, and the other members of Nexus in which David Otunga questioned McGillicutty and Harris about their involvement at Hell in a Cell; moments later, Barrett walked in and told McGillicutty and Harris to leave and suggested Otunga face Orton later in the show; Otunga suggested Justin Gabriel face Orton instead, with Barrett agreeing

Match #3: Zack Ryder vs. Santino Marella w/ Vladimir Kozlov [Team Raw Qualifying Match]
Really? Awful. Santino wins in under a minute with the Cobra. HATE.
3/4*

Tamina comes out to celebrate with Santino.

Match #4: Randy Orton vs. Justin Gabriel w/ David Otunga & Heath Slater
They get 8 minutes or so, but Orton is no John Cena in terms of elevating young guys in defeat. Not as good as match layout, bumping, selling, really not as good at any part of being a top face as Cena. I already miss heel Orton. The other Nexus guys got ejected early on. Gabriel toned down a lot of his cool offense here and they just had an average match. Orton wins with the RKO.
**1/2

Match #5: Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan [Team Raw Qualifying Match]

FANTASTIC 5 minute match. Danielson starts out fiery and mad and it is great. Cole claims Team WWE lost at SummerSlam due to Bryan being on the team. AND LAWLER SAYS NOTHING! FUCK YOU BOTH! Danielson has some incredible bumps and comebacks, and Sheamus wins with the Brogue Kick.
***

included a backstage segment with Cena and R-Truth in which Truth talked about Cena joining Nexus, that a lot of the guys backstage didn't agree with it, and that if Barrett told Cena to take out a WWE guy, he would have to; Truth then said there was another way out of it, then telling Cena to quit

The next match features the man who was traded to Raw for Edge, CM PUNK! BALL GAME!

Match #6: CM Punk vs. Evan Bourne [Team Raw Qualifying Match]
Really great 3 minutes. Constant action, all really crisp, etc. Punk finally gets to do the "catch a Rana off the apron and swing into railing" spot that he and Joe invented and he always ate from other people. Bourne misses Air Bourne and Punk hits the GTS for the win.
**1/4

Punk beat the shit out of Bourne's arm on the floor and kept throwing him into the post and barricade. He puts on the Anaconda Vice, and he gets pulled off by a ton of referees.

featured an in-ring promo by Natalya Neidhart in which she said at Bragging Rights she would take the WWE Divas Title from LayCool; moments later, WWE Divas Champion Michelle McCool & WWE Divas Champion Layla interrupted and said Natalya has to shave herself before every show because she has the same facial hair as her dad; moments later, as LayCool attempted to leave the ring, Melina, Eve, Gail Kim, Brie & Nikki Bella attacked them on the floor and threw Layla into the ring; Natalya then tried to put Layla in the Sharpshooter but McCool pulled her to the floor and the two left through the crowd

Match #7: John Cena vs. The Miz w/ Alex Riley [Team Raw Qualifying Match - No DQ]
Fun stuff. They actually used the No DQ stip for some fun stuff. Nothing amazing, but they work well together. On television only though, which I still don't understand at all. They get cut off before it can get great, as Husky Harris and McGillicutty run out. They hit the Shitty Neckbreaker and Back Senton on Cena and Miz covers to win.
**3/4

Post-match, Cena tries to fight them, but Wade Barrett comes out and he pulls Cena off. Cena goes to hit him, but he backs off. Anon GM rings in and books Cena/Orton vs. Husky/McGillicutty next week. Wade gets on the mic and says he wants to add to that, and says if Cena loses, Husky and Joe join Nexus, and next week, he's sure Cena will do the right thing. Cena shoves the mic down and Wade says not to do that. He says he bets he'd love to drop him right now and to do it for the WWE UNIVERSE~ AND THE CENATION~. But he's not going to do a thing, and it has nothing to do with the GM, he won't do it because he's scared and spineless. Cena goes to hit him again and Wade says he would embarrass Cena again, just like at HIAC. He says everyone was wrong about Cena being a real man, and he turns his back on Cena. He says he hasn't even got the guts to attack him now, and he is truly pathetic. Cena walks out on him and Wade orders him to stop and turn around AND TELLS CENA HE CAN'T SEE HIM! AMAZING! Shame this thing goes downhill from here.

They do the scan outside the building, AND TAKER'S JUST FUCKING CHILLING ON TOP OF THE BUILDING. NO BIG DEAL.

featured an in-ring promo by Teddy Long in which he addressed the Raw team chosen for Bragging Rights and said the Smackdown team would be determined through a series of qualifying matches throughout the night

Match #1: Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes [Team SD Qualifying Match]
Hey, this was great. Not as great as they'd do in 2011, but they have awesome chemistry. Really fun 7-8 minutes. Cody had some really really amazing and fluid counters to work on the head and neck. Which, unless it's 2002, 2006, or 2009, is the best way to work against Rey, since he refuses to sell limbs most of the time. Really awesome finishing run. Rey hits the 619 and Penguin Splash to win. They managed to work this with Rey as the guy above Cody, which they really should do more, considering how Rey wins like 90% of his matches at this point.
***

In the back, Big Show is hanging out with Hornswoggle. Kaval comes in and says he wants to be on the Smackdown team. Show says Kaval isn't ready to last 5 minutes in the ring with him, and Kaval challenges him to prove it and says if he lasts 5 minutes, he can be on the team. Show accepts. This is good, and a good payoff to Kaval's losing streak. RIGHT?!

included a videotaped promo by Paul Bearer in which he challenged the Undertaker to a Buried Alive match against World Heavyweight Champion Kane at Bragging Rights

Match #2: MVP vs. Jack Swagger w/ Swagger Soaring Eagle [Team SD Qualifying Match]
This is 2 minute of mediocre before Swagger wins with the Ankle Lock.
*1/2

Taker's still hanging out above the building.

The Big Show comes out to do commentary.

Match #3: Alberto Del Rio vs. Chris Masters [Team SD Qualifying Match]
Great Masters performance for 2 and a half minutes. ADR was fine enough, but he's not as good as Masters from a pure in-ring standpoint. Awesome chops, great bumping and selling. ADR worked on the arm, leading to Masters' great selling. ADR wins with the Jujigatame.
**1/4

Show offers a handshake to ADR, but he winks and walks off.

Knucklehead promo.

RAW REBOUND!

Match #4: Edge vs. Dolph Ziggler [Team SD Qualifying Match]
This gets 10 minutes or so, and is a great Dolph performance. Both Vickie and Kaitlyn are seen watching in the back and neither is at ringside. Edge doesn't do much of interest early on, but Ziggler takes huge bumps all match and has a killer control seg after a FUCKING PEACE ZIG INTO THE STEPS! SHIT! Finishing run had some great stuff, but a few contrived things too. Edge wins with the Spear.
**3/4

Match #5: The Big Show vs. Kaval [Team SD Qualifying Match - 5 Minute Challenge]

This is flawed as it's basically a prolonged Big Show offensive showcase. I'm not saying it should have been even, but look at the Danielson/Show matches lately where Show is giving on offense and takes some big bumps for how Show/fiery smaller guy matches should go. Anyways, Kaval takes some huge bumps and this is fun, despite flaws. Kaval survives 5 minutes.
**1/4

Show helps Kaval up.

Post-match, Kaval is in the ring and fucking Tyler Reks comes out. He baits Kaval into putting his spot on the line against him. NO FUCK YOU COME ON. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Kaval accepts.

Match #6: Kaval vs. Tyler Reks [Team SD Qualifying Match]
Reks wins in 45 seconds with his godawful Burning Hammer. YEP, TYLER FUCKING REKS SHOULD CLEARLY BE IN INSTEAD OF KAVAL.
GOD FUCKING DAMNIT.

DASHING GROOMING TIP: Trim your fingernails

Match #7: Kofi Kingston vs. Drew McIntyre [Team SD Qualifying Match]
This was good for the 2 minutes it lasted. God damnit, stop behaving like you're Raw, SD. You're better than this. Kofi wins with the Trouble in Paradise. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
**

Kane and Paul Bearer come out and Kane says at Bragging Rights, he will bury The Undertaker once and for all and unlike last time, he will stay buried. The Undertaker comes out slowly, and they fight in the ring, AND NOW TAKER CAN FIGHT OFF KANE! YEAH! TAKER MAKES KANE'S PYRO GO OFF HOLY SHIT! THANK YOU, SMACKDOWN 2010 FOR THE IDEA! TAKER SUMMONS A LIGHTNING BOLT TO KNOCK THE URN OUT OF BEARER'S HANDS! THAT RULED!

featured an opening in-ring segment with Teddy Long, alongside the Bragging Rights trophy, as well as the Raw and Smackdown Bragging Rights teams, with Alex Riley in R-Truth's spot on the Raw team; Long then said he would let the superstars make the matches for the night; moments later, Miz said himself, Ezekiel Jackson, & Sheamus would be in six-man tag team action later in the show; Show said Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio Jr., & himself would be the opponents; Edge followed by saying he wanted a match with CM Punk and John Morrison challenged Alberto Del Rio; Jack Swagger followed by saying he wanted to face Santino Marella

Match #1: The Big Show/Rey Mysterio/Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz/PHOTO NEGATIVES
This was a good 5 minutes. Zeke had some fun power spots and really is at his best working heel. Likewise, Miz is best as a tag wrestler. Miz gets hit with the Chokeslam, and then Rey dives off Show's shoulders for the win.

Hype video for Cena/MWAY.

In the back, Ziggler and Vickie are interviewed. Ziggler says him vs. Daniel Bryan is like the Super Bowl Champions vs. a highschool football team. The high school team might get some plays in, but that's it, and they at least have pads to protect them. I AM PERFECTION!

Match #2: Jack Swagger vs. Santino Marella
Swagger wins with the Ankle Lock in 2 minutes.

DASHING GROOMING TIP: Chap your lips

Match #3: Alberto Del Rio vs. John Morrison
This was probably helped by only being 4 minutes, as it means they just keep it simple before throwing out some cool spots and don't overstay their welcome. ADR gets his knees up to block Starship Pain and then puts on the Jujigatame for the win.
**1/4

Match #4: CM Punk vs. Edge

Good Punk performance, but again Edge drags it just down from being truly great by refusing to sell Punk's midsection work, which was all great. Edge is setting up for the Spear, but Miz and A-Ri come out to attack for the DQ.
**3/4

The rest of both teams comes out for a brawl on the floor, and Edge gets back in and hits CM Punk with the Spear. Team SD then celebrates.

The most amazing thing happens...

Layla and McCool cut a promo as Nattie (with Jim Neidhart's beard) and Bret Hart.

Match #5: LayCool vs. Natalya/Kelly Kelly
This was too short to be much, but McCool was amazing as Bret Hart on the apron. Layla taps out to the Sharpshooter.
3/4*

Hype video for Taker/Kane.

Match #6: Randy Orton vs. Kane
OH MY GOD, THIS WAS SO BORING. They did stuff. The lights go out to distract Kane and Orton hits the RKO to win.
*3/4

Orton leaves AND BAH GAWD TAKER COMES THROUGH THE MAT FROM HELL AND DRAGS KANE WITH HIM!
