NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 6/2/2004 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY NWA World Tag Team Champions: BG James/Konnan, Since 11/7/2004 TNA X-Division Champion: Petey Williams, Since 8/11/2004 TNA Impact November 19th, 2004 Orlando, FL In the parking lot, The Outsiders beat up X Division guys and they lawndart Red into the side of a trailer. ORIGINAL. Match #1: Jeff Jarrett vs. J-Rocc Easy Jarrett squash again. *1/4 The Outsiders come out and celebrate with him, and Jeff again says they're taking over. IN THE PARKING LOT, IT'S ANOTHER FUCKING LIMO! Hype video for Petey/Sabin. A promo airs with Triple X cutting a promo inside a cage in the backl. Daniels says they've beaten AMW at everything they've ever done, and this time, they're not going into the cage to be nice and competitive, they're going in to end this issue forever. At ringside, Hall and Nash have kicked Don West out and taken commentary over. Ugh, if only they got rid of Tenay. AMW comes out for a match, but The Outsiders and Jarrett fight them. They brawl to the back, and the Pretenders to the Throne toss them in the cage, and Triple X beats them down. ANOTHER LIMO PULLS UP! Match #2: Petey Williams/Bobby Roode vs. Jerrelle Clark/Mikey Batts Good Team Canada showcase for 3 minutes. Batts and Clark took huge bumps. Sabin came out to watch, and Petey hit the Canadian Destroyer to win. *3/4 A THIRD LIMO WHAT THE FUCK Match #3: Raven vs. Johnny B. Badd Horrible. Ref bump happens again, and DDP costs Raven the match again. MARC MERO PINS RAVEN. HAHAHAHA NOPE. In the parking lot, DDP gets into one of the limos. Shane asks why he's doing this, and he tells him to ask Raven. Match #4: Abyss vs. Kevin Devine Squash. *1/4 Abyss pulls out thumbtacks, but Monty Brown comes out to save. In the back, Shane interviews Raven, and he says DDP should be mad at Erik Watts, not him. EXPLAIN SOME OF THIS, FOR FUCK'S SAKE. Dusty Rhodes comes out and says the losing team in AMW/XXX must split up FOREVER~! Match #5: Kid Kash/Michael Shane/Frankie Kazarian w/ Tracy vs. Hector Garza/Sonjay Dutt/Sonny Siaki This gets 3:30. There was a commercial in there, so about 90 seconds of this aired. What the fuck? Why even have the match? Kash hits Siaki with the coconut to win. 3/4* The Pretenders to the Throne come out and they beat up everyone. AJ and Jeff come out, and they have Randy Savage with them! AJ challenges them to a six man at Turning Point, and Jarrett accepts. |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 6/2/2004 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY NWA World Tag Team Champions: BG James/Konnan, Since 11/7/2004 TNA X-Division Champion: Petey Williams, Since 8/11/2004 TNA Impact November 26th, 2004 Orlando, FL In the back, AJ Styles leads all the young babyfaces up to the Fake KOW locker room. Sharkie knocks on the door, AND AJ CHEAP SHOTS HALL AND NASH! FUCK YEAH! AJ says this is their company, and they run away as they get up. Maybe they shouldn't run away if they're trying to establish them as on the same level, but this is TNA, I should be happy that they're even moving forward a little bit. Monty Brown vs. Abyss in a SERENGETI SURVIVAL match is announced for Turning Point. Match #1: America's Most Wanted vs. The NYC w/ Trinity Decent enough AMW showcase. Death Sentence gets the win. *1/2 In the back, Douglas is with Dusty Rhodes, and he books AJ vs. Hall in the main event. He then says that next week, it's Jarrett/Monty for the NWA Title! Hype video for AMW/XXX. Match #2: Petey Williams w/ Scott D'Amore vs. Chris Sabin vs. Michael Shane w/ Tracy Solid spotfest. Not amazing, but it got time, and was decent for a Petey match. Sabin AGAIN blocks the Canadian Destroyer, and he hits the Cradle Shock for the win on the champion. ** Hype video for Petey/Sabin. Raven has a squash set up, but DDP hits the ring once Raven gets in, and Raven bails to the floor. DDP gets on the mic and says he's done a lot, and people said he'd never be champion, but he was the World Champion. He says after he retired, he heard Raven saying he MADE DDP. He says he's walking around with a knife in his back with Raven's handprints on it, and he twisted it and broke the shank off, and he made it personal. He implies that Raven fucked Kim, but Raven says it's not about that, and says he should go after Erik Watts too. He says there's so many knives in his back where the broad is concerned that he can't be sure which one is his. He yells that he should have been the World Champion, and then yells WELCOME TO THE TERROR DOME. QUOTE THE RAVEN, NEVERMORE. Hype video for Raven/DDP. This really should have gone before that. Match #3: Kid Kash vs. Hector Garza This was fine enough for under 3 minutes. Shane and Kazarian tried to interfere, but Shane accidentally Superkicked Kash and Garza got the pin. *3/4 They attack post-match, but Red, Shark Boy, D-Ray, Dutt, and Siaki run out to save for whatever reason, and the heels bail. Team Canada vs. 3LK for the Tag Titles is confirmed for Turning Point. Apparently, it's Killings/BG this time, since I guess 3LK has the Freebird Rule in their contracts, which was never mentioned at all. Match #4: Ron Killings vs. Bobby Roode w/ Scott D'Amore This is pretty fun. Only 3 minutes, but they work well together. Eric Young tries to interfere, but BG James runs out to cut him off. Killings sends Roode into D'Amore on the apron, and he hits his awful Pedigree to win. ** Match #5: AJ Styles vs. Scott Hall Hall looks AWFUL. Huge gut, sloppy as fuck, poor timing, painfully overconscious bumping. AJ is AJ, but there's really only so much that can be done. Nash interferes a lot, but AJ hangs on. He almost has it won again, but Jarrett comes out and breaks the guitar on his head and Hall covers to win. Awful. *1/2 They keep it up, but Randy Savage leads out a ton of babyfaces for the save. |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 6/2/2004 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY NWA World Tag Team Champions: 3 Live Kru, Since 11/7/2004 TNA X-Division Champion: Petey Williams, Since 8/11/2004 TNA Impact December 3rd, 2004 Orlando, FL TONIGHT: Jarrett/Monty for the NWA Title Match #1: Triple X vs. Amazing Red/Sonjay Dutt Really fun for the nearly 4 minutes it got. Lots of cool moves from the faces, and Daniels and Skipper had some killer double teams too. Red has a good hot tag, and he tries the Code Red on Daniels, but Skipper catches him with a Spinning Heel Kick. He falls forward into sort of a Jackknife Pin from Daniels out of the move, and that gets 3. **1/4 Hype video for AMW/XXX. In the back, Monty Brown is warming up for the title match, but Abyss comes up and hits him with a 2x4. Monty goes down holding his back, and officials get Abyss away from him. Match #2: Abyss vs. Two Unnamed Jobbers Abyss has the chain, 2x4, and the bag of tacks with him. Tenay explains the rules for Sunday in abyss/Monty, and you can win by pin, submission, or sending your opponent into thumbtacks. This was a fine squash as usual. *1/2 Hype video for the six man at Turning Point. Match #3: Chris Sabin vs. Kid Kash This was only 3 minutes, but really awesome. Lots of cool counters by both men, and Kash took some great bumps. Kash counters the Cradle Shock into a Victory Roll with the tights to win. I don't have a problem with the result as much as I would have before Kash's great run in the summer, but there's better ways to accomplish that. Have Petey interfere or something. Or actually try to keep your #1 Contender strong. Fucking TNA. ** Hype video for Petey/Sabin. In the crowd, DDP and Raven are brawling. They make it to the ring, and Raven manages to escape the Diamond Cutter, and he bails out to the back. Erik Watts is watching from the crowd. Ugh. Match #4: Jeff Jarrett [c] vs. Monty Brown [NWA World Heavyweight Championship] This at least got like 10-15 minutes, so that's nice. Monty's ribs are taped up, and he is obviously favoring them. The crowd is unbelievably hot for Monty. Good power vs. experience story here. Jeff works the ribs, and Monty's selling is much better than I would expect. Not great, but it's something at least. Jarrett gets the POOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUNCE, but Hall runs down. He also gets it, but when the ref is getting Hall out, Jeff hits Monty with a chair, and gets the win. **3/4 |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 6/2/2004 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY NWA World Tag Team Champions: 3 Live Kru, Since 11/7/2004 TNA X-Division Champion: Petey Williams, Since 8/11/2004 ![]() TNA TURNING POINT 2004 DECEMBER 5TH, 2004 ORLANDO, FL In the parking lot, A LIMO SHOWS UP. Oh, nope. It's a shitty Vince McMahon impersonator and a guy without a shirt with his face obstructed by a towel. He spits water and looks to be holding a sledgehammer, so I guess that's a horrible Triple H impersonator too. Come on, TNA, you're better than this. Well, no. You're not better than this, but this is still really pathetic. Abyss greets them with balloons, but Vince breaks them. Abyss does his awful flex pose, and they run away. Match #1: Ron Killings/BG James [c] w/ Konnan vs. Bobby Roode/Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore [NWA World Tag Team Championship] This was much better than I expected. Killings makes this much better than at VR, since he can actually go and carry the load. It allows BG to be good in a hot tag environment too. Roode and EY continue to be a solid team, and they have some cool spots with Killings. D'Amore distracts the ref, and Johnny Devine runs out and hits BG with the hockey stick. Roode pins him to win. **1/2 In the back, Shane interviews Dusty. He says people will remember tonight for a long long time, and he says he hears the Evil Empire has shown up to stop them from playing the tape. Oh, goddamnit. Now I remember this. There was a deal with WWE filming a commercial for the 2005 Rumble at Universal Studios, and TNA guys showed up to talk with them and hang out. TNA filmed it, and WWE said they couldn't air the footage, which is fair enough. TNA made it into this whole deal to make it seem like they were at war. Match #2: Kid Kash/Michael Shane/Frankie Kazarian w/ Tracy vs. Hector Garza/Sonjay Dutt/Sonny Siaki This actually gets 11 minutes now. Surprisingly great match. The heels had some great cheating and work on the arm. Like, really fucking great arm work. AND DUTT SELLS IT REALLY WELL?! Fun finishing run, and Garza hits Shane with the Torneo for the win. TNA finally figures out that a great way to hide weaknesses of spottier dudes is lots of trios matches. **3/4 In the back, Scott D'Amore talks to Petey and says he is more than a one move wonder, he is a Champion, and he only backs winners and Petey is a winnder. OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH CAAAAAAAAANADAAAAAAAAAAA. Match #3: Monty Brown vs. Abyss [Serengeti Survival Match] Pin, submission, or throwing someone on thumbtacks gets the win. This was actually much better than Victory Road too! They actually use weapons for cool spots here. Not amazing or anything, but the best match possible for two limited big men. Thumbtacks get brought out by Monty, and he hits an Alabama Slam to Abyss on the thumbtacks to win. Theoretically, that is, since only Abyss' head hits them, but whatever. **1/2 Horrible Vince/H segment. These segments might be the worst thing TNA has ever done. Match #4: Johnny B. Badd/Irish Pat Kenney vs. The NYC w/ Trinity [Special Referee: Jacqueline] And the streak of good things comes to an end. There isn't a single part of this that isn't offensive, and it goes 8 minutes. Disco argues with Jackie, so she slams him. Mero then hits him with the TKO to win. I hate pro wrestling now. My lord, that was the worst match of the year. Nothing. Nothing is this bad. Not Gogz, not Ford's lack of posting reviews, not Andy, not Ford holding up NWA, not eXpo's Chad Collyer TV Title run, not Biggie refusing to ever feedback WCW because he hates it, not Biggie refusing to write WWF 1994, not Johnny Kash promos, not anything else on this site I can think of, not anything else in TNA 2003-4 that I can think of. Maybe Tank vs. Brent Albright was this bad. In the parking lot, the Pretenders to the Throne are beating up Savage. They throw him in a car, and it speeds off, and Jeff says it's 3 on 2 tonight. Well, okay then. They're also in horrible Elvis costumes, for whatever reason. Hype video for DDP/Raven. Erik Watts is now on commentary. He brags about beating out DDP for the PWI Rookie of the Year Award. Match #5: Raven vs. Diamond Dallas Page After that last match, this comes off like the MOTY. It's obviously not. It's not awful or anything, but it is hardly a godsend. Raven now has his insane gladiator helmet. DDP is in a black lycra shirt and shiny black pants, clearly emulating Mike Quackenbush. This is whatever. Could have been much worse. Lots of brawling and acceptable wrestling. Erik Watts tries to Chokeslam DDP, but he Diamond Cuts him. He then hits one on Raven to win. **1/4 Horrible Vince/H seg. Match #6: Petey Williams [c] w/ Scott D'Amore vs. Chris Sabin [TNA X Division Championship] There's waaaaaaaaaaaaay more good than bad here, and this is maybe the best Petey Williams singles match I've ever seen. They do a great job getting over Sabin's counters to the Canadian Destroyer, and also Petey's fear of the Cradle Shock counter. Sabin had a TON of really really cool spots and dives here, and Petey mostly just played along with Sabin doing his thing. A few contrived things, yeah. Only one egregious kickout here too, which is sort of impressive for an X Division match. Petey also does the single worst Sharpshooter ever. Even The Rock would look at it and say that's a shitty Sharpshooter. Petey uses brass knucks to win, after not being able to hit the Destroyer. **3/4 In the back, a midget hits Fake Vince in the balls and hits him with a cookie sheet. Hype video for the six man. Match #7: AJ Styles/Jeff Hardy vs. Jeff Jarrett/The Outsiders This is not great. 18 minutes is WAY too long. AJ is basically in there by himself, in terms of trying to make a good match. Jeff Hardy gets taken out by a guitar shot at around 10 minutes, so AJ is all by himself. He takes big bumps and has awesome comebacks. Randy Savage comes back, as does Jeff, and Savage gets in. They do a Triple Sleeper Spot. Jeff Jarrett passes out in Savage's Sleeper, and he gets the pin for the win. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. ** FINAL RESOLUTION: JANUARY 16TH! THE TAPE~ is shown. It's just Abyss, Shane Douglas, BG James, and Ron Killings giving balloons and cookies to some people with blurred out bodies. Horrible waste of time. Match #8: America's Most Wanted vs. Triple X [Six Sides of Steel - LOSING TEAM MUST SPLIT] So yeah, this is fucking great. The first third is pretty chaotic. Daniels bleeds, and they have a loose tag format with some cool spots. Skipper then pulls handcuffs out, and they handcuff Storm to the cage. Daniels wears the key as a necklace, and they give Harris a really violent and nasty beatdown. This is still amazing, but it's lost on the horrible Orlando crowd a little, as they chant for Triple X. The Asylum would have been super hot for AMW here. Big chaotic awesome finishing run. Elix does the rope walk Rana off the top of the cage, which is still totally fucking insane. They get a little too contrived at the end with a Tower of Doom, which stops it from being better than the first cage match. Awesome revenge spot with Daniels getting handcuffed to the cage, and they beat Triple X with their own PowerPlex finish as a final "FUCK YOU". ***1/2 Triple X is no more. Until 2007, where TNA basically says "FUCK YOU" to anything resembling coherency, continuity, and logic. Edited by Big Tuna, May 1 2012, 10:44 PM.

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 6/2/2004 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY NWA World Tag Team Champions: Bobby Roode/Eric Young, Since 12/5/2004 TNA X-Division Champion: Petey Williams, Since 8/11/2004 TNA Impact December 10th, 2004 Orlando, FL Match #1: Christopher Daniels vs. Mikey Batts Good showcase for Daniels, now working singles again. For whatever reason, Batts comes out to Chris Sabin's music. He's fine as a random young babyface to fight Daniels. They go 4-5 minutes and Daniels makes him look decent before he wins with the Angel's Wings. **1/4 In the back, DDP meets up with the Pretenders to the Throne when he's walking. They say hi, and Nash says he heard he was dead. Hall says he saw his match, and maybe he's losing it. He says he doesn't need it, because he actually won his match at Turning Point, but that's Jeff's fault, not theirs. They get mad, and DDP says it's not a bad thing, it's a good thing! I am NOT excited for this feud! In the back, Shane interviews Team Canada. D'Amore brags about holding the X and Tag Titles. He says it's about time they had a Canadian as World Heavyweight Champion. I agree. Not so much in TNA as much as in 2004 in general, but I agree. Match #2: America's Most Wanted vs. Michael Shane/Frankie Kazarian w/ Tracy They get 7 minutes, so this is pretty awesome. AMW are taped up from the cage match, and Shane and Kazarian work on Harris' injured ribs. Good control segment. Harris' selling is quite good. Storm has an awesome hot tag, and AMW gets the win with the Death Sentence. **3/4 Match #3: Monty Brown vs. Glenn Gilberti Decent Monty squash. POOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUNCE does it. *1/2 Monty gets on the mic, and says Jeff Jarrett might have left the Serengeti with his title, but the next time he gets in the ring with the Alpha Male, he will feel the POOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCE. PERIOD. Jeff Jarrett comes out to the stage and says he might have gotten beat on a fluke last Sunday, but he is still NWA Champion and King of the Mountain. He says he's not going to defend at Final Resolution because the people don't deserve it. Dusty Rhodes comes out and says not only will he defend at Final Resolution, but he's going to defend it next week too against the winner of tonight's #1 Contender's Match! In the back, Douglas interviews DDP about Watts. He says he has no idea what that was about. Raven comes up and says he still doesn't know what Watts has done to him, and asks if he's going to forgive the unforgivable, and he leaves. FUCK YOU, JUST EXPLAIN WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT. FUCK. Oh also, stop putting Erik Watts on TV. In the back, Raven finds Erik Watts, and he says DDP is disrespecting him again, and he'll have to hurt him. Match #4: AJ Styles vs. Hector Garza [#1 Contender's Match] There is literally no reason Garza deserves this. Logically speaking, this should be AJ/Hardy or something, not that Hardy/Jarrett III would be good at all. This is perfectly good though. This is sort of butchered by a commercial too, but 6-7 minutes of it still airs, and is good. Lots of cool spots, mostly carried by AJ. TNA being TNA, he has to put this fuck over, and Garza wins with the Torneo. **3/4 This is the best Impact in some time. Good for them for finally getting a nice format going. |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 6/2/2004 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY NWA World Tag Team Champions: Bobby Roode/Eric Young, Since 12/5/2004 TNA X-Division Champion: Petey Williams, Since 8/11/2004 TNA Impact December 17th, 2004 Orlando, FL Match #1: The Naturals vs. Johnny B. Badd/Sonny Siaki This was pretty fucking terrible. Lots of horrible Mero and Siaki botches. The Naturals at least win with cheating. 1/2* TONIGHT: Jarrett/Garza for the NWA Title Dusty Rhodes now has his "office" set up, and it's a truck in the parking lot. He says at Final Resolution, it will Petey defending his title in an Ultimate X match. Tracy comes on and congratulates him, and says he could use an assistant, and she's available. Match #2: Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Roode w/ Scott D'Amore Pretty good stuff. Mostly Roode in control, and Jeff did actually take some nice bumps. Roode debuts the Double R Spinebuster. Although I guess it's just a BR Spinebuster now. They actually get 5 minutes, and Roode looks good. Jeff wins with the Swanton Bomb. **1/4 Match #3: Dustin Rhodes vs. Johnny Swinger Dustin's not in 2002 or 2009 condition, but he's still pretty good. Goes on a little too long for a debut showcase, but whatever. Bulldog ends it. *1/2 TURNING POINT! ORDER THE REPLAY! In the back, Shane interviews Dustin. He puts over TNA and Turning Point, clearly not having seen it. He says Jeff Jarrett talks about how the NWA Title was his birthright, but my God, if there was EVER a wrestler who could say his birthright is the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, it's Dustin Rhodes! DDP comes out, and he calls out Erik Watts, but he never shows up. Match #4: Jeff Jarrett [c] vs. Hector Garza [NWA World Heavyweight Championship] This is fine enough, I guess. Not super exciting, but a fine veteran vs. high flyer type deal. Hall interferes, allowing Jeff to intercept Garza's Moonsault with a guitar shot for the win. **1/2 |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 6/2/2004 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY NWA World Tag Team Champions: Bobby Roode/Eric Young, Since 12/5/2004 TNA X-Division Champion: Petey Williams, Since 8/11/2004 TNA Impact December 24th, 2004 Orlando, FL Dusty and Tracy are in the ring to open the show, and he says there will be a three way at Final Resolution with Monty Brown vs. DDP vs. Kevin Nash, and the winner will face Jeff Jarrett later on that night for the NWA Title! In the back, Jarrett is displeased. Match #1: Ron Killings/BG James vs. Cassidy O'Reilly/Brendan Thomas This is very short, so it isn't much. Squash. 3/4* In the back, Erik Watts is waiting for DDP and congratulates him on ANOTHER title shot. DDP slaps him on the chest and says maybe he can talk when he actually earns a title shot, and he leaves. Raven then comes out and asks how long Watts is going to let DDP treat him like that, like garbage, and Watts shoves Raven away and says he'll deal with it. Match #2: Abyss vs. David Young Squaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash. * It's time for Piper's Pit, and he brings out Hector Garza to talk about how close he was last week. He says he wants a rematch for the title, and says Scott Hall is the only reason he's not champion now. Scott Hall comes out with a guitar, and says not to sing it, but to bring it. He hands him the guitar and turns around, and Garza obviously hits him with it. That was stupid. Nash lightly jogs down, and Garza takes him out with a Plancha. This is all useless, as Garza is gone after this show after being busted at the border. In the back, Shane is with Petey and D'Amore and announces that at Final Resolution, he'll fight AJ Styles and Chris Sabin in an ULTIMATE X MATCH! YEAH! D'Amore says this is typical American politics, jealous that the Canadian defeated the two golden boys of the X Division, so now he's in a match against both of them where he doesn't even have to be pinned to lose. Match #3: AJ Styles vs. Johnny Devine w/ Scott D'Amore Typical AJ carryjob. Devine is perfectly acceptable but does literally nothing interesting, but he does well by just letting AJ be AJ. Styles Clash ends it. **1/4 In the back, Kid Kash finds Dustin and warns him not to try and take his spot too, because he doesn't like him or his family. He leaves, and Dustin says that was a hell of a thing for him to say to him. TOMBSTONE. 1993. *air bite* Match #4: America's Most Wanted vs. Bobby Roode/Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore Solid formula tag, but nothing really special here. They do the inside cradle double reversal spot to give AMW the win. **1/2 |

TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR: 2002: America's Most Wanted 2003: America's Most Wanted This category sucked for the first half of 2004, but picked up huge in the second half with AMW and XXX returning, Team Canada fielding decent teams, and The Naturals and Shane/Kazarian being solid. And for the, I think, unprecedented third year in a row, they pull it off. ![]() 1. AMERICA'S MOST WANTED - 49 POINTS 2. Triple X – 41 3. The Naturals – 34 4. Michael Shane/Frankie Kazarian – 29 5. WRESTLER OF THE YEAR: 2002: AJ Styles 2003: AJ Styles Just like TTOTY, this man wins for the third time ever. I really don't see a year where he doesn't win this award in TNA. Maybe 2006 with Joe and Christian doing great work too. Maybe 2007 where he's wasted on the midcard. But otherwise, this is his award to lose. ![]() 1.
