Clips air from before the show. 3LK were working out with the NASCAR fag Jeff Hammond. Shane and Kazarian came over to mock him for being involved with something awful, and they had a confrontation.

Christopher Daniels comes out to do commentary.

Match #1: AJ Styles vs. Chris Candido
FUCK YEAH! This was 5 minutes, and a great showcase match. Daniels says he belongs in the Ultimate X match instead of AJ or Sabin. Candido is a great base for AJ and takes some awesome bumps. Great punches and basic offense too. AJ is AJ, and he wins with the Styles Clash.
**1/2

Shane Douglas and JB announced the 2004 awards. AJ wins X Division WOTY and Mr. TNA, XXX/AMW wins MOTY.

Hype video for Petey/AJ/Sabin.

At Dusty's office, Trinity shows up and also wants to be his assistant. Oh god.

Match #2: Petey Williams w/ Scott D'Amore vs. Andy Douglas w/ Chase Stevens
This wasn't much. Douglas let Williams do way too much contrived bullshit. Canadian Destroyer wins.
*1/2

In the back, Shane Douglas is with AMW, and says they've been given a title shot at Final Resolution. They say Turning Point and AMW/XXX is over, and their focus is back where it belongs, on the tag titles, and Team Canada is holding their property.

Match #3: Chris Sabin vs. Bobby Roode w/ Scott D'Amore
Good 3 minutes here. Lots of acceptable back and forth. Daniels gets up from commentary finally, and he slides a chair in. Sabin is distracted by it, and Roode hits the Northern Lariat down onto the chair and he slides it before pinning him for the win.
**

Match #4: Konnan w/ 3LK vs. David Young

So yeah, this was a shitty squash.
1/2*

In the back, DDP and Raven talk. Raven says he has Erik Watts wrapped around his finger and he'll get DDP, but Erik is right behind him. They have a horrible brawl.

Mike Tenay brings out Jeff Jarrett for an interview. He talks a lot of shit, but DDP comes out through the crowd, and he attacks Jarrett. He bails out, but Monty Brown comes down the ramp and rolls him back in. They both beat on him, but Hall and Nash come out to save. Jarrett accidentally hits Hall. Nash shoves Jarrett for hitting Hall, and they argue. Monty then clotheslines them both out of the ring. Blegh.

Match #5: Dustin Rhodes/Jeff Hardy vs. Kid Kash/Dallas
This was alright for under 3 minutes, I guess. Kash vs. Dustin was pretty good, and Tenay says they're fighting at the PPV. Jeff beats Dallas after the Swanton Bomb.
*3/4

Match #1: James Storm vs. Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore

Lot of fun here for the three minutes that it lasted. Young takes the HBK/HHH corner bump, but he actually makes it look awesome. Lots of great punches and bumps by both guys. D'Amore distracts the ref, and Eric hits Storm with the hockey stick to win.
**

Hype video for Kash/Rhodes.

Match #2: Dustin Rhodes vs. Chris Candido
Another really nice Candido match, where he puts over a guy real well. Awesome awesome bumps by Candido to really carry this, and Dustin wins with the Bulldog.
**

TRYTAN IS COMING

Match #3: AJ Styles vs. Cassidy O'Reilly
Usual great AJ showcase, but only like 90 seconds, unfortunately.
*1/2

In the back, Raven lays out Erik Watts with a trash can shot.

In a pretape, Hammond interviews DDP, Monty, and Nash. DDP wants to win the belt again from Jarrett, Monty says he knows he can beat him, and Nash doesn't say anything to lean one way or another. They ask if he's just there to stop them and what he'll do if he wins and fights Jarrett for the belt. He shrugs and says he's all about the money. Jarrett comes out and insults them all and takes a cheap shot at Nash. He hits him back and throws him out, and security runs out to keep them apart.

Match #4: Elix Skipper vs. David Young
Solid Elix squash, but nothing amazing. He hits the Play of the Day to win.
*3/4

Match #5: Christopher Daniels vs. Chris Sabin

This got like 7 minutes, so it was the first great TV match of TNA's 2005. Not a lot of storytelling or anything, but a well done formula match with cool moves done crisply. Sabin counters the Angel's Wings into a roll up for the win.

TNA FINAL RESOLUTION 2005
JANUARY 16TH, 2005
ORLANDO, FL

Match #1: Christopher Daniels/Michael Shane/Frankie Kazarian vs. 3 Live Kru

This is a fine 8 minute opener. Unfortunately, the heels are basically here to make 3LK look actually good instead of to actually get over at all. Which when it comes to Killings, that's fine, he's actually very good. Young talented guys (I do enjoy Shane and Kazarian as a team a lot) bumping around for old guys who don't belong in pushed positions like this is always kind of frustrating. Good control seg though. 3LK holds Shane up and Killings hits a Harlem Sidekick for the win.
**1/4

In Dusty's office, Trinity and Tracy argue over who should be assistant. Johnny Fairplay also wants the job, and Dusty says he's hidden a clue somewhere in the back, and whoever gets it is immune to being fired.

Match #2: Elix Skipper vs. Sonjay Dutt
Surprisingly great spotfest. Skipper uses power moves to offset the speed. He also impresses by continuing to throw in little sells of his arm after Dutt began by working it. A lot of really awesome and crisp spots too. Elix gets the win with an Air Raid Crash.
**3/4

In the back, DDP is getting ready and Nash goes up to him. He talks about them being tag partners before and says they should team up to get rid of Monty tonight. He leaves, and DDP says trusting Kevin Nash isn't going to end well.

TRYTAN!

Match #3: Dustin Rhodes vs. Kid Kash
HOLY SHIT, THIS CAME OUT OF NOWHERE! Dustin is hardly at his peak, but this was almost a classic-level Dustin performance. Great punches obviously, but then when Kash worked on his knee, his selling was amazing, at that usual Dustin level. Kash was great here and did his job well, but this was the Dustin show. Hobbling on everything, unable to run, etc. Kash takes too long yelling at the ref, allowing Dustin to lunge from behind in the corner to get a Bulldog for the win.
***

Hype video for Raven/Watts.

Match #4: Raven vs. Erik Watts
Well, this happened. Pretty much horrible. Watts ends up winning with a Chokeslam after 10 horrid minutes.
*1/4

Watts celebrates on the stage, but then Raven comes from behind and throws him off and through a table.

Match #5: Jeff Hardy vs. Scott Hall [Special Referee: Roddy Piper]
SO BAD. Hall was completely embarrassing here, more so than ever before in TNA, and Jeff is like the worst possible opponent for him. Jeff is now using a Stunner version of the Twist of Fate, and Hall took the abysmal Stunner bump on it. Jeff then hits the Swanton to win.
*

Jeff gets on the mic, and says after tonight, he's coming back for the NWA Title. Abyss comes down from the crowd though, and he lays out Jeff with the Black Hole Slam, making his return.

Horrible segment with Trinity and Tracy.

Hype video for the three way.

Match #6: Diamond Dallas Page vs. Kevin Nash vs. Monty Brown [#1 Contender's Elimination Match]
This isn't really any good. Lots of slow clubbering. DDP clotheslines Nash out over the top to eliminate him, which was never mentioned as a possible elimination. DDP vs. Monty is acceptable, I guess, and Monty wins with the POOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCE.
**

They shake hands post-match.

Hype video for the tag title match.

Match #7: Bobby Roode/Eric Young [c] w/ Scott D'Amore vs. America's Most Wanted [NWA World Tag Team Championship]
This is really awesome. It's not the blowaway match it seemed like at the time. I think at the time, I was so blown away because it was a realization on my part that AMW are a really good tag team, since I had just seen them in gimmick matches and short Impact matches. Really perfect formula tag. Eric takes some insane bumps. Awesome finishing run of false finishes based on interference. Devine comes out to help, but he accidentally hits Eric with a chair from the floor and Harris schoolboys him to win.
***1/2

In the parking lot, Trinity and Tracy both have a piece of paper that says CLUE. Dusty says they both stay in the contest and tells them both to go find tag teams that have never been in TNA, and whoever has the best team gets to be his secretary.

AGAINST ALL ODDS: FEBRUARY 13TH!

Match #8: Petey Williams [c] w/ Scott D'Amore vs. AJ Styles vs. Chris Sabin [TNA X Division Championship - ULTIMATE X]
This is still an awesome spotfest, but it has not aged as well as the four way UX match from January 2004. A lot of that is Petey being awful. Overselling, getting caught waiting for stuff, etc. All the stuff you DON'T want in a pure stuff is what he did. But AJ and Sabin were both really fantastic here. Lots of huge bumps and cool spots, etc. Awesome finish too. Petey and Sabin have the belt down in the middle and are having a tug of war, BUT AJ LEAPS OFF THE TOP AND GRABS IT OUT OF THE AIR TO WIN! FUCK YEAH!
***

Match #9: Jeff Jarrett [c] vs. Monty Brown [NWA World Heavyweight Championship]

Basically just a repeat of their December match, only now 16 minutes instead of 10 or so. Jeff puts him into his formula match, and it doesn't work when it's basically just the same match, you know? Ref bumps, shenanigans, and Jarrett uses the guitar shot to win.

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 6/2/2004 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY
NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 1/16/2005
TNA X-Division Champion: AJ Styles, Since 1/16/2005

TNA Impact
January 21st, 2005
Orlando, FL

To open the show, Tenay and DW say that Dusty has named Jeff Jarrett vs. Kevin Nash as the main event of Against All Odds.

Clips air of the press conference. Jeff says some stuff. Nash says he's the greatest world champion of all time, on technique alone. He says he wants that belt for the money and they named the show Against All Odds, because Jeff's odds are slim to none. "Press" asks for a face to face photo, and they do it. Nash says this is one of his two good sides, and Jeff shoves him, so they get held apart.

Match #1: Christopher Daniels vs. Buck Quartermain
Solid squash for Daniels.
*1/2

Daniels gets on the mic post-match. He says Petey's been ducking him for the last month, and AJ ducked him when he was champion too, and he wants the X Division Title match that he deserves! AJ Styles comes out and Daniels says on his best day, AJ can't beat him. AJ says he's a fighting champion and all Daniels has to do is name the time and place, and Daniels says tonight's fine with him. Daniels says if AJ can't beat him in 10 minutes, then he gets a title shot at AAO. Dusty comes out with his sluts and literally just repeats the stipulations. Great work, Dust.

Match #2: Jeff Hardy vs. Lex Lovett
Usual shitty Jeff squash.
3/4*

Abyss comes out again, and he hits the Black Hole Slam. He puts a table up on the floor, and then he throws Jeff over the top and through the table.

Coming back, Tenay announces Jeff vs. Abyss for AAO in a FULL METAL MAYHEM MATCH~. Another name for a hardcore match.

In the back, Shane interviews AMW. Storm says everything is right with the world now. Kid Kash and the now renamed Lance Hoyt come over and they challenge them to a match at AAO and they start shoving each other. TNA's customary creativity is once again on display.

Michael Shane & Kazarian vs. The Naturals is set to happen, but Kash and Hoyt run out and they attack both tag teams. After they've laid them out, Kash gets on the mic and says it looks like no other team is worthy. AMW comes out, and they have a pull apart.

Match #3: Raven vs. Cassidy O'Reilly
Raven goes back to violence with a very good squash for about 90 seconds. Evenflow ends it.
*3/4

Raven brings a chair in and keeps beating on the kid, but Dustin Rhodes comes out to save, and he pulls him out to safety. Raven is not pleased.

In the back, 3LK challenges Shane and Kazarian to do the damn thing if they have a problem with them and Jeff Hammond. BG challenges them to fight he and Jeff Hammond in a match. HORRIBLE.

Match #4: AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels [10 Minute Challenge]
This goes all 10 minutes, but only 7 or so of that airs. So it's not as great as they'll do later in the year and at the PPV, but they work the stip real well with Daniels trying to ground it. AJ tries to get it moving before the match has naturally progressed, so Daniels is able to catch a dive, and he hits a nasty Uranage into the railing and then one on the floor. Good control seg working on the back. AJ sells well on the comeback, and his desperation in the final 90 seconds or so is great. In the final 20 seconds or so, Daniels just keeps evading him, and he grabs onto the ropes to survive the time limit.
***

Dusty comes out and books it at the PPV in a 30 MINUTE IRON MAN MATCH!

Match #1: Kid Kash/Lance Hoyt vs. Jeff Hardy/Chris Sabin

Sabin and Kash delivered here. Good short tag at some four to four and a half minutes. Solid control seg on Jeff. and then Sabin has a big hot tag and a dive. Jeff is preparing to finish with a Swanton, but Abyss comes out. Jeff dives onto him, and they fight away. Sabin is distracted, and Kash hits the Moneymaker for the win.
**

At ringside, Tenay confirms BG James/Hammond vs. Shazarian at AAO.

In the back, DDP talks to Hall and Nash. They argue over who double crossed who at Final Resolution, and DDP says maybe they're best at standing behind World Champions, like Hogan, and now Jarrett, and he leaves. Okay then.

Match #2: Sonny Siaki vs. Chris Candido
Awesome Candido carryjob. Big bumping, strikes, leaning into all Siaki's stuff, and he really makes Siaki look like a competent professional wrestler. Really incredible performance there. Candido rolls through a Crossbody and puts his feet on the ropes to steal the win. Siaki would not forget this.
**

In Dusty's office, both Tracy and Trinity say they'll have their tag teams next week.

Match #3: Monty Brown vs. Johnny Devine w/ Scott D'Amore
Decent squash for Monty.
*1/2

The rest of Team Canada comes out to attack him, but he fights them off. Scott Hall also comes down to help, but DDP comes out from the other side to help Monty fight them all off.

Hype video for Jarrett/Nash.

Mike Tenay brings out Jeff Jarrett for an interview. BREE WOO BREE WOO BREE WOO WOO. Tenay asks about the fake Kings of Wrestling, and Jeff Jarrett says Kevin Nash couldn't handle being a supporting player to the King of the Mountain because of his own ego, and the Kings are dead. Typical Jarrett promo, NWA Champion, KOTM, etc.

Hype video for AJ/Daniels.

Cassidy Reilly is supposed to have Erik Watts as his partner, but his arm is in a sling, and he introduces Dustin Rhodes as his replacement.

Match #4: Dustin Rhodes/Cassidy Reilly w/ Erik Watts vs. The Naturals
Dustin looked decent again. Cassidy is perfectly acceptable, but no idea why he's getting this push instead of MAH NIGGA JERRELLE. Raven comes out to attack Erik Watts with a trash can on the floor, and Dustin abandons the match to fight Raven to the back. Cassidy then gets beat with the Natural Disaster.
*3/4

Match #5: 3 Live Kru vs. Michael Shane/Frankie Kazarian/Elix Skipper

This is about 5 minutes of the young heels bumping around for 3LK. Mostly Konnan and BG too, so yeah. Then at the end, Shane gets BG with a Flying Elbow as he covers Kazarian, and then Kazarian covers to steal it. Good for them!
**

Match #1: Petey Williams w/ Scott D'Amore vs. Shark Boy

Christopher Daniels is again on commentary. This wasn't much. Canadian Destroyer ends it.
*3/4

In the back, Dustin is talking to Cassidy Reilly and Cass thanks him for the help. Raven comes over and mocks them, and mockingly apologizes for breaking Cassidy's fingers. Raven says he always thought Raven was lost in the shuffle, but now he's shuffling with the lost. AND DUSTIN SAYS "WELL, SHUCKY DUCKY QUACK QUACK!" HOLY SHIT! He says to imagine his foot up Raven's ass, so Raven leaves.

Match #2: AJ Styles vs. Buck Quartermaine
Daniels is still on commentary, and he takes credit for AJ's career because of their match in 2001 at the NWA 53rd Anniversary putting AJ on the map. Real good short AJ squash.
*3/4

AJ challenges him to get in the ring now and fight him, but Daniels gets on the mic. He says he'd expect that from him after TNA and Dusty spoiled him for the last three years, but since AJ ducked him and made him wiat for three years, he'll make him wait until Against All Odds.

TRYTAN

In the office, Dusty is looking at pictures of the Tracy and Trinity teams in folders, but we can't see them. He says he wants to see both of them on the pre-show.

Match #3: Jeff Hardy vs. David Young
Good squash. Swanton ends it.
*1/2

Abyss comes out, but Jeff throws a chair at him, and hits a Plancha before quickly leaving.

In the back, Shane and Kazarian talk to David Young, and they say he should fight Jeff Hammond next week, because Jeff insulted his mom, so he says he'll make that Nascar loser pay.

Match #4: Abyss vs. Lex Lovett
Abyss almost immediately kills the jobber, mad about what just happened.
3/4*

Post-match, he puts a table up in the ring and he goes to Powerbomb him through it, but Jeff Hardy comes out to attack. Abyss tries to Powerbomb him through the table, but Jeff reverses into a DDT through the table, which looked like it hurt him even more than Abyss.

In the back, Shane Douglas interviews Nash while he's getting a massage and talks about how Nash is in the best shape of his career for this match. JEFF JARRETT CHARGES IN WITH A GUITAR SHOT, BUT NASH MOVES! He gets up in his underwear and challenges Jeff to do it again, but he backs off as quickly as he can, and is mad.

Match #5: Monty Brown/Diamond Dallas Page vs. The Naturals
This is decent enough. It's not great, because it's DDP/Monty Brown vs. The Naturals, but it's acceptable pro wrestling. Monty wins with the Pounce, and DDP hits the other one with the Diamond Cutter to cut off a save. Tenay says they'll fight Petey Williams and Bobby Roode at AAO.
*3/4

In the back, Kevin Nash is still just in a towel, and he's seen walking up to Jeff Jarrett's door before the show cuts out.

In the back, Dusty Rhodes announces that if Jeff Jarrett loses a guitar in this match, he will be DQ'd and will lose the title as a result!

Match #1: Johnny Devine w/ Scott D'Amore vs. Sonny Siaki
This was pretty awful. Devine wins with a roll up in the ropes.
*

In the back, Douglas interviews Monty Brown. He says he hasn't forgotten about Jeff Jarrett, and he's learned from the past and he will be NWA Champion. He then talks about Scott Hall, despite Hall leaving the promotion by now.

Match #2: Diamond Dallas Page vs. Chris Candido
Candido delivers again in a showcase match, but this was only 2 minutes, so there wasn't a ton he could really do to make it great. DDP wins with the Diamond Cutter.
*3/4

D'Amore and Roode come out to attack DDP, but Monty Brown runs out to save.

Hype video for Abyss/Jeff.

Match #3: David Young vs. Jeff Hammond
3LK and Shazarian are there. This was horrible. Hammond clearly didn't want to get hit, so why is he even there? 3LK interferes to help him win, and I think David's career is now officially dead.
45/Poop

Match #4: Chris Sabin vs. Elix Skipper vs. Shark Boy

This was under 3 minutes, and really nothing to brag about. They do stuff. Shark Boy hits Sabin with the Dead Sea Drop, and Elix steals the pin for the win.
*3/4

Hype video for AJ/Daniels.

Match #5: America's Most Wanted/Dustin Rhodes vs. Raven/Kid Kash/Lance Hoyt
This is only like 3 minutes, unfortunately, but it was a lot of fun. Dustin beats Raven with the Bulldog.

TNA AGAINST ALL ODDS 2005
February 13th, 2005
Orlando, FL

In the back, Larry leaves Jeff Jarrett's office. Shane Douglas asks what's going on, and Larry says apparently there's a legal dispute between Jarrett and Dusty on a legal level.

Match #1: Elix Skipper vs. Petey Williams w/ Scott D'Amore
This was whatever. Tenay announces that Ultimate X will return next month at Destination X. Skipper had some cool spots here, but Petey was basically useless. Lots of predictable contrived stuff and really loose and flimsy strikes. Elix blocks the Destroyer into an Air Raid Crash, which Tenay names Sudden Death.
**1/4

Hype video for the NASCAR tag. Yes, really.

Match #2: Michael Shane/Frankie Kazarian vs. BG James/Jeff Hammond w/ 3LK
I feel a lot sadder for Shazarian having to job to this faggot than I would have 6 months ago. The crowd chants "NASCAR SUCKS" for most of this. Shane accidentally kicks Kazarian and Hammond hits a really hideous elbow drop to win.
*1/2

In his office, Dusty talks to Jeff's lawyers. They want him to void the guitar stipulation. Dusty refuses and says the stipulation is still there.

Hype video for Raven/Dustin.

Match #3: Raven vs. Dustin Rhodes
This is basically a shorter and lesser version of Dustin/Kash. Raven's leg work isn't as good as Kash, and Dustin's selling isn't as good here. Raven wins with the Evenflow after kicking the leg.
**1/2

Raven keeps attacking. He gets a straightjacket from under the ring, and he puts Dustin in it. Cassidy Reilly runs out to try and save, but he immediately gets the Evenflow. Raven gets a leather strap too, and whips Dustin with it on the mat until referees come out to get him away.

TRYTAN IS COMING TO IMPACT!

Match #4: America's Most Wanted [c] vs. Kid Kash/Lance Hoyt [NWA World Tag Team Championship]
This got 12 minutes or so, so they delivered on the promise that their match from the first Impact showed. Good AMW stuff early on, and then Kash did like 99% of the work for an awesome control segment. Lots of cheating and cool offense and shit. Nice big finishing run. Kash tries to use AMW's handcuffs, but he gets handcuffed to the ropes. AMW hits Hoyt with the Death Sentence to win.
***

In the parking lot, ANOTHER LIMO.

Match #5: Jeff Hardy vs. Abyss [Full Metal Mayhem]
This is apparently also now a Ladder Match, with envelopes for title shots hanging above the ring. This was not as awful as Jeff/Jeff at Victory Road. Sloppy moments, but overall, it at least wasn't business exposing bad, and also had some cool spots. Jeff gets one of the envelopes, but they say only one of them is the real one, so this was the fake one. FUCKING TNA. He goes for the other one, but Abyss shoves him off through tables on the floor and he gets the real one to win.
**1/4

Match #6: Monty Brown/Diamond Dallas Page vs. Bobby Roode/Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore

This sure as fuck happened. Nothing special, and Monty beats Roode with the Pounce. Monty has cooled off HUGE after the Jarrett losses and the face turn.
*3/4

Hype video for AJ/Daniels.

Match #7: AJ Styles [c] vs. Christopher Daniels [TNA X Division Championship - 30 Minute Iron Man Match]
"I don't think Daniels or AJ has ever been in a match longer than 13 minutes, so this is unprecedented" - Don West, at about 13:30. The first third of this is a story of them being tentative, especially AJ, based on how the 10 minute match went. Also doubles as him trying to run out the clock, since he doesn't have to win. They start going for roll ups, and Daniels uses the ref to knock AJ to the floor. He then works the back and ribs. AJ's selling is pretty good, and Daniels wins Fall #1 with the Angel's Wings. He keeps it up, but around 20 minutes, AJ just stops selling the back at all. It's still good, but that was frustrating. AJ gets a roll up at 24 minutes to go 1-1. They do stuff and AJ is busted open and Daniels works it, and it's good. Daniels gets the Koji Clutch on, and the time limit expires. Dusty comes out to take it to Sudden Death, and after 90 seconds or so, AJ wins with the Styles Clash. Good, but AJ's disappointing performance in the final 3rd kind of took me out of it. I think a normal match would have been a lot better tbh. Really great Daniels performance though.
***1/4

Hype video for the main event.

Match #8: Jeff Jarrett [c] vs. Kevin Nash [NWA World Heavyweight Championship]
This is a textbook defense from Jeff at this time, despite being much better than anyone might have predicted. Working too long with a limited opponent at some 18-19 minutes, lots of low intensity brawling to blatantly kill time, and then a ridiculous amount of overbooking that goes over the line and becomes awful. Billy Gunn makes his debut to attack Kevin Nash, and X-Pac comes out to help Nash. They keep going for a while, despite this, and Jarrett hits a low blow and the second Stroke for the win. Jeff trying to use a cello as a weapon to circumvent the guitar stipulation was AMAZING though.

Match #1: Ron Killings vs. Michael Shane

The tag partners are there. This is solid enough for the time it got. Tenay says both of these men want in UX. They go 4 minutes, and Truth wins with the Scissors Kick.
**

Truth signals for the belt.

In the back, Shane interviews Daniels. He says AJ Styles got lucky at Against All Odds when he got saved by the bell, and if he had 10 more seconds, he would be X Division Champion right now. He says his Destiny will not be stopped, and was only delayed until Destination X, because he WILL be in that match.

Match #2: The Naturals w/ Chris Candido vs. Lex Lovett/Buck Quartermain
Candido is a good manager and all, but this is a waste of his talents. Especially when he's dead in a little over 2 months. Decent display of lots of cheating and basic stuff by the Nats. They win with the Natural Disaster.
*3/4

In Dusty's office, AMW and Dustin find a cowbell and Dustin says he wants Raven at Destination X in a Bullrope Match, and tells Tracy to tell his dad that. They leave, and Abyss then comes over with his #1 Contender's envelope. He then shoves it down the front of her pants and leaves. Well, okay then.

Match #3: Phi Delta Slam w/ Trinity vs. Mikey Batts/Kid Romeo
FROM BAD TO WORSE. OH MY GOD, PHI DELTA SLAM ARE THE WORST.
Ford's WCW + Andy's AWA < This

Dusty Rhodes comes out with Tracy and Trinity stays out to join him, and has several announcements about the PPV. He announces Abyss vs. Jeff Hardy in a Falls Count Anywhere match. He says Jarrett's cello was a nice little touch, and books Jarrett/DDP at Destination X. He invited them both out to the ring, and they come out. Jarrett tells DDP to get out while he celebrates, and in the loudest chant in the history of this building, a "DROP THE TITLE!" chant emerges. I can't believe I agree with the Impact Zone. That's a really awful chant, but fuck, it's true. This reign is the worst. Anyways, they brawl, and Billy Gunn (named The New age Outlaw on commentary) comes out to help Jeff. Kevin Nash comes out to fight him off, and DDP hits the Diamond Cutter on Jarrett.

AJ Styles come out to do commentary. He and West explain that at Destination X, the UX will have different rules:
-Since it's 4 men, it starts as a tag
-One man will be eliminated, and then it's a three way
-When it's down to just two men, it then becomes Ultimate X

Match #4: Chris Sabin vs. Chris Candido vs. Shark Boy
Candido vs. Sabin ruled. This was only like 3 minutes, but it was so entertaining. Sabin gets Sharkie down in a Reverse Figure Four of some kind, with Sharkie on his back, AND CANDIDO COVERS SHARK BOY WITH HIS FEET ON THE ROPES TO STEAL IT! AMAZING!
**

Monty Brown vs. Lance Hoyt is set, but Monty immediately hits the Pounce. THEN TRYTAN COMES OUT AND POINTS TO END THE SHOW~!

Match #1: Dustin Rhodes/America's Most Wanted vs. Petey Williams/Bobby Roode/Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore

Only about 2:15, but they did what they could with that time. D'Amore gets involved, but Harris takes the hockey stick from him. This allows Roode to hit the Northern Lariat for the win.
*3/4

In the back, Shane interviews Raven. He says he's invented matches that make a Bullrope Match look like a Girl Scout meeting, and he'll give him the beating that his father would have given him if he cared about him at all.

Match #2: Chris Sabin vs. Cassidy Riley
Decent 2 minutes once again. Cradle Shock wins for Sabin.
*1/2

Monty Brown comes out to do commentary.

Match #3: Kid Kash w/ Lance Hoyt vs. Buck Quartermain
Average squash while Monty talks about wanting the title. Moneymaker wins it.
*1/2

Trytan comes out and points at Monty again.

In the back, The Outlaw goes up to 3LK and hugs BG James. He says he wants to talk to him about business, but only with him. BG says it's cool, and they walk off.

Match #4: Elix Skipper vs. Chris Candido w/ The Naturals
Once again, Candido puts forth a great sub-5 minute match. Naturals interfere a lot, but Skipper hits the Sudden Death for the win.
**

Hype video for Ultimate X.

Hype video for DDP/Jarrett.

DDP comes out for a match, but Jeff Jarrett and The Outlaw attack him from behind on the ramp. Kevin Nash comes out to save, and security breaks it up. Tenay mentions that it's Nash vs. Outlaw at Destination X.

Match #5: AJ Styles/Ron Killings/Sonny Siaki vs. Christopher Daniels/Michael Shane/Frankie Kazarian
This actually gets time! Good long control seg from the heels, with false hot tags and hope spots and all those good things. Siaki has a pretty shitty hot tag, which makes sense, because he's a horrible pro wrestler. Decent finishing run with everyone doing shit, and Shane hits Siaki with the Superkick for the win.

In the back in his office, Dusty welcomed Apolo to TNA. HORRIBLE. GET OUT. He then tells Tracy to go tell Jeff Jarrett to meet him in the ring in 30 minutes.

Match #1: Chris Sabin vs. Michael Shane
Decent 4 minutes or so, and Sabin wins with the Cradle Shock.
**

Monty Brown vs. Trytan is announced for the PPV.

Match #2: Chris Candido/The Naturals vs. Elix Skipper/Petey Williams/Mikey Batts w/ Scott D'Amore
I liked the story that the mix and match team couldn't get along, and it allowed Candido and the Nats to get the win a lot easier. Not long or great, but it was perfectly good for what it was. Candido gets Batts with a Diving Headbutt as he covers Douglas, and he rolls him on top to win.
**

Hype video for DDP/Jarrett.

Match #3: Dustin Rhodes vs. Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore
This was good! Only 2 minutes, but it was very entertaining. Awesome punches from Dustin, and EY took lots of big bumps. Petey and Roode come out to try and interfere, but AMW comes out to cut them off. Dustin then hits a Powerslam to win.
*3/4

Coming back, Dusty is in the ring with the sluts. He calls Jarrett and DDP out to the ring, and DDP comes out first. He asks DDP if he's ready to be a World Champion. He says there will be a stipulation that there will be people around the ring that Jeff Jarrett have hit with guitars. Great, so it's a fucking lumberjack match. God damn, Dusty is horrible at booking TNA. Jarrett comes out with The Outlaw, The Naturals, Candido, etc. and then 3LK came out to help DDP. Big lame brawl, and Kevin Nash runs out and cleans house to run off the heels.

Christopher Daniels comes out to do commentary. It's announced that Ron Killings and Elix Skipper have been added to the UX match, and the final spot will go to the winner of Daniels/Sabin next week.

Match #4: AJ Styles [c] vs. Kid Kash w/ Lance Hoyt [TNA X Division Championship]
This could have been great, but it's absolutely butchered by two commercial breaks, cutting about 15-16 minutes down to 8 or so. It is still really awesome, but it comes off as kind of disjointed as a result of the clipping. Daniels interferes and Kash goes for the Moneymaker, but AJ back drops him and bridges back into a cover for the win.
**3/4

In the parking lot, Abyss is tearing shit up while looking for Jeff Hardy. He's perched on top of a ledge or something, no more than 2 or 3 feet above Abyss, but he can't see him. Jeff then watches Abyss with binoculars. What the fuck?

TNA DESTINATION X 2005
MARCH 13TH, 2005
ORLANDO, FL

Match #1: America's Most Wanted/BG James/Konnan vs. Petey Williams/Bobby Roode/Eric Young/A1 w/ Scott D'Amore & Johnny Devine

UGH, FUCKING A1. This is an acceptable opener, but there's no reason this couldn't just be AMW vs. Roode/EY again, since those exchanges are clearly the best. Things break down, and after a little interference, Roode gets Konnan with the Northern Lariat to win. I like how they're slowly transitioning from hockey stick interference to the Canadians having actual finishes.
**1/4

In the back, Fairplay shows up again at Dusty's office and wants a job as a manager. Dusty says he can have one if he signs two wrestlers tonight.

Match #2: Chris Sabin vs. Chase Stevens w/ Chris Candido & Andy Douglas
This was very good. Not sure why it only got 6 minutes, this is a PPV and all, but it was a really great showcase match for Sabin. Stevens bumps around very well. This probably should have been Sabin/Candido, actually. Sabin wins with the Cradle Shock.
**1/2

Candido and Douglas attack post-match, but UGH, IT'S FUCKING SHOCKER FOR THE SAVE. Another foreign star who really wasn't any good who got a big push from TNA for a few months.

Hype video for the Bullrope Match.

Match #3: Dustin Rhodes vs. Raven [Bullrope Match]
This also only got 6 minutes, and this likely indicates that Jarrett/DDP and Nash/Gunn will go on WAAAAAAAAY too long. Both guys were kind of off as well, so this wasn't much. Some flashes of good stuff, but whatever. Dustin wins with the Bulldog.
**

Team Canada comes out to attack Dustin, but AMW runs out to save.

Match #4: Phi Delta Slam w/ Trinity vs. The Harris Brothers w/ Tracy [Winner's Manager Becomes Dusty's Assistant]
OH MY GOD, THIS WAS THE WORST. *THE* WORST. NO WORSE MATCH IN 2005, FUCKING ANYWHERE. AND THIS GOT 10 MINUTES. THIS IS THE LONGEST MATCH OF THE SHOW SO FAR. MY GOD, MAN ALIVE. THIS WAS HORRIBLE. Tracy's team won.
Nothing. I made a list last week of things worse than some really awful match, but there's nothing worse than this.

In the back, Fairplay tries to get AMW and Dustin to sign, but they throw him out.

Match #5: Monty Brown vs. Trytan
This also fucking sucked. Trytan is barely trained at all, and Monty is not the guy to carry him. This following that last tag may be the all time worst 1-2 punch in wrestling PPV history. The lights go out at a point, and they come back on. Trytan is gone, but there's a fat masked man in the ring. Internet says it's Mideon. He gets the Pounce, and Monty pins him to win.
Biggie's lack of WCW feedback/not writing 1994

Hype video for Jeff/Abyss.

Match #6: Jeff Hardy vs. Abyss [Falls Count Anywhere]
Basically on the same level as last month, which essentially just means that it happened. Jeff does the Swanton off a high place. They use chairs and ladders and shit and Jeff hits another High Place Swanton for the win.
**

Post-match, Abyss takes out thumb tacks and gives Jeff the Black Hole Slam onto the tacks.

Hype video for Nash/Gunn. Yeah, really. I can't believe this is even a thing.

Match #7: Kevin Nash vs. The Outlaw [First Blood Match]
Just in case anyone had doubts, the stip virtually guarantees that this will suck. And my god, it does, for 12 minutes. IT was made even worse by the referee trying to stop them from using weapons for whatever reason. There's a ref bump, and Nash busts Gunn open. Jeff Jarrett comes out then and hits Nash with the title to bust him open. Gunn gets a towel and cleans himself up, and the ref sees Nash bleeding, so Gunn wins.
*3/4

Jeff leaves, and Nash hits Gunn with the Jackknife post-match.

Match #8: AJ Styles [c] vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Ron Killings vs. Elix Skipper [TNA X Division Championship - Ultimate X Challenge]
Tag match is first, and it's AJ/Skipper vs. Daniels/Truth. Nice storytelling with Daniels and Skipper helping each other out. Killings gets pissed at it and he and Daniels fight. AJ takes out Daniels with a dive, but then Skipper eliminates Truth with the Sudden Death. Triple X teams up on AJ in the three way now, before Daniels turns on him. Some really cool spits off the UX structure. Skipper hits AJ with Sudden Death, but Daniels rolls him up with the tights to eliminate him. AJ vs. Daniels is an awesome finishing pairing. More awesome spots, but the ref gets knocked down. AJ gets the belt down, BUT DANIELS GETS A LOW BLOW AND THE ANGEL'S WINGS! DANIELS GETS THE BELT AS THE REF GETS UP, AND HE WINS! This is the second best UX ever, as it managed to have psychology and spots that for the most part, made sense. Daniels may be the master of this match.
***1/2

In the back, Fairplay gets Buck Quartermain and Lex Lovett to sign.

Hype for the main event.

Match #9: Jeff Jarrett [c] vs. Diamond Dallas Page [NWA World Heavyweight Championship - Lumberjack Match]
This got 21 minutes, good lord. It was a lumberjack match and DDP in 2005, so it sucked in addition to being way too long. Shit broke down, and BG James took the guitar from Jeff on the floor. He tried to hit him, but he moved, and it hit Konnan! Billy Gunn breaks up a Diamond Cutter try, and Syxx-Pac again comes out to attack he and Jarrett. Monty Brown comes out, BUT BAH GAWD, HE TURNS HEEL AND POUNCES DDP. Jarrett covers to win.
**

Jarrett and Monty celebrate together.

Clips air from after the PPV, with the heels celebrating with Jarrett. Monty says that now he owes him one.

Match #1: Christopher Daniels vs. Jerrelle Clark
AW FUCK YEAH! Lots of huge bumps from Clark, and he also had a hell of a comeback. Daniels continues to be maybe better than ever in TNA, and Daniels wins with the Angel's Wings.
**1/4

Daniels gets on the mic and says he's beaten everyone in the X Division, and he is the heart and soul of not only the X Division, but all of TNA. Elix Skipper comes out and says he ain't beaten him in a singles match yet, and he knows he can beat his former tag partner, but Daniels shakes his head and leaves.

Match #2: Kid Kash w/ Lance Hoyt vs. Mikey Batts
Another good squash for Kash. He wins with the Moneymaker.
*1/2

In the back, BG apologizes to Konnan for the guitar shot and he asks if it was really an accident, and he leaves. What a dick.

Match #3: Dustin Rhodes/America's Most Wanted vs. Chris Candido/The Naturals
Fun 3 minute showcase for the faces. Candido is once again fantastic, and AMW wins with the Death Sentence.
**

There's an interview with Jarrett. Monty, and The Outlaw up next. Monty is mad about getting passed over for title shots, and they say they're taking over now.

Tenay says at Lockdown, there will be TWO Six Sides of Steel matches. How modest.

Match #4: Shocker vs. David Young
This sucked. Shocker is slow and kind of awkward and makes you long for Hector Garza. He wins with the Whacky Lucha Pin.
1/2*

Match #5: Diamond Dallas Page/Syxx-Pac w/ Kevin Nash vs. Lex Lovett/Buck Quartermain

Nothing showcase match for the older dudes. DDP wins with the Diamond Cutter.
*1/4

Nash gets on the mic post-match, and he challenges Jarrett, Monty, and Outlaw to a six man cage match at Lockdown.

In the back, Abyss goes by Dusty's office and climbs on the bed of the truck to corner Tracy and Trinity, despite Tracy winning the assistant spot. It cuts to the opening video.

Randomly, AJ Styles and Abyss are fighting in the back after the pyro goes off. Don West says he was looking for the contract that he left with Tracy a month ago. Tenay says AJ tried to tell Abyss to not attack the girls, and they started fighting.

Match #1: Trytan vs. Buck Quartermain
Hahahaha, no.

In the back, Konnan confronts The Outlaw about trying to cause dissension in 3 Live Kru, and Outlaw says they had a good run, but he's here now, and it's time for things to go back to how they should be, and Konnan hits him. They brawl and they get broken up by security.

Match #2: Jeff Hardy/Shocker vs. David Young/Lex Lovett
This was pretty terrible too. Shocker gets WHACKY LUCHA PIN on Young again.
1/2*

Match #3: The Harris Brothers w/ Tracy vs. Shark Boy/Cassidy Riley

Wait, why is this thing still happening? This was horrible and the DOA won.
1/2*

In the back, Dusty confirms the six man for Lockdown in the cage.

In the back, Raven is waiting and Jeff Hardy walks by. He compliments him on the match with Abyss and suggests a tag team. Jeff says he's not a tag guy but thanks him for the compliment, and he walks off.

Match #4: Sonny Siaki vs. Gran Apollo
HORRIBLE. WHAT A FUCKING AWFUL EPISODE TONIGHT. Apollo wins clean.
1/2*

They shake hands and leave together.

In the back, Kevin Nash is walking and the Outlaw, Naturals, and Candido attack him as Jarrett cheers them on. DDP and Syxx come over to save, and they fight them off, and Jarrett bails out.

Dustin vs. Roode is announced for Lockdown, as is AMW vs. Team Canada, which I assume is Petey/Young.

Match #5: America's Most Wanted vs. Phi Delta Slam w/ Trinity
Hey, so this is the worst AMW match in some time. After SIX FUCKING MINUTES of Phi Delta Slam offense, AMW makes a brief comeback, before Team Canada comes out for a DQ.
3/4*

Dustin comes out to save, and they fight off Team Canada. Worst episode yet, possibly.

AJ Styles comes out to do commentary. They announced that it's he vs. Abyss at Lockdown for the #1 Contender's spot. That's hardly fair, Abyss won that shot totally clean. On the other hand, fuck Abyss.

Match #1: Abyss vs. Cassidy Riley
Good Abyss squash as usual.
*1/4

Abyss pulls out the thumb tacks, but Jeff Hardy now comes out to attack Abyss, sort of in revenge. Raven comes out to help, maybe, but nah, he Evenflows Jeff. AJ Styles comes out to pull Abyss out, and they fight going into the commercial.

A video airs on the history of Daniels and Skipper as a team.

Hype video for the six man at Lockdown.

Christopher Daniels comes out to do commentary.

Match #2: Elix Skipper vs. Chris Sabin vs. Michael Shane vs. Petey Williams w/ Scott D'Amore [#1 Contender's Elimination Match]
This got like 20 minutes, which was a great gesture on TNA's part, but way too long for these guys. Petey was especially horrible, but he was gone about halfway through after the Superkick from Shane. Sabin then got rid of Shane, and Sabin vs. Elix was really really awesome and nearly saved this. Elix gets the win after the Sudden Death.

Match #1: Chris Sabin vs. Michael Shane

Their usual short and good match. They actually get 5 minutes or so, so nevermind that shit. Good show. Sabin wins with the Cradle Shock.
**1/2

Dusty Rhodes comes out onto the stage and announces that he's had an epiphany for how to make Lockdown really special, and then makes EVERY MATCH INSIDE THE CAGE. Horrible precedent here. He then books Raven vs. Jeff Hardy in a Table Match at Lockdown too. He then says that the six man at Lockdown will be a LETHAL LOCKDOWN MATCH.

Match #2: AJ Styles vs. Chase Stevens w/ Chris Candido & Andy Douglas
CHRIS CANDIDO DEATH CLOCK: 20 DAYS. Typically great AJ showcase. Styles Clash does the job.
**

Abyss comes out to attack, but a ton of security comes out to keep them apart.

AMW comes out to do commentary.

Match #3: Dustin Rhodes/Cassidy Riley vs. Lex Lovett/Buck Quartermain
Acceptable showcase for Dustin and the kid. Dustin wins with the Bulldog.
*1/4

Horrible Jeff Jarrett interview now. DDP comes out from the crowd to hit the Diamond Cutter, and he bails before The Outlaw can hit the ring.

Hype video for Daniels/Skipper.

Match #4: Kid Kash w/ Lance Hoyt vs. Gran Apollo w/ Sonny Siaki
Kash tries his best, but all he can really do is just bump around for the big stupid piece of shit before Hoyt interferes for the DQ.
*3/4

The brown people drive off Kash and Hoyt.

Hype video for Lethal Lockdown ends the show.

Match #1: Chris Sabin/Sonny Siaki/Gran Apollo vs. Michael Shane/Kid Kash/Lance Hoyt

Sabin was barely in, so this absolutely fucking sucked. No idea where Kazarian went, but fuck him, he's gotten enough points from PWG. Kash and Hoyt beat Siaki with the Baldo Bomb and a Frog Splash.
*1/2

Jeff Jarrett's lawyer is in the back, and says he now also represents Candido, The Naturals, Monty, and The Outlaw, and if Kevin Nash shows up near his clients tonight, he will be removed from the building and arrested.

In the back, Trinity is with Dusty's book, but hits on Michael Shane instead. Tracy comes over to cuntblock and takes the back to go give out copies.

Match #2: Ron Killings/BG James vs. Petey Williams/A1 w/ Scott D'Amore
They talk about Dusty's book for most of this. A1 is horrible, and he makes Petey looks goddamned skilled and competent. Killings works like 30 seconds of this, as he gets the hot tag and hits A1 with the Scissors Kick to win.
*1/4

Elix Skipper comes out to do commentary. They shill the book.

Match #3: Christoper Daniels vs. Mikey Batts
Good Daniels showcase. He wins with Angel's Wings.
**

In the back, 3LK talks and Konnan asks what's up with BG and the Outlaw. BG says he's up to no good, but he's still with 3LK and he doesn't want anything else. Konnan says he wants a match and says to stay in the back, so he doesn't get hit with a guitar or anything. What a dick.

Match #4: Konnan vs. Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore
This fucking sucked. Just about 2 minutes of Konnan offense. Tequila Sunrise gets the win.
3/4*

In the back, Jeff Hardy is talking to AJ Styles about their matches at Lockdown, and Raven runs up and hits Jeff with a trash can out of nowhere. AJ punches at him, but Raven gets out of town, having done his business.

Jeff Jarrett comes out to do commentary. Kevin Nash tries to come out and attack, but security comes out, and he is ejected.

Match #4: Diamond Dallas Page/Syxx-Pac vs. Monty Brown/The Outlaw
This sucked. DDP is beyond caring about wrestling at this point, and most of this is DDP/Gunn. Waltman had a really nice hot tag, but that was all that was of value here. Jarrett hits him with a guitar from the floor, and Outlaw covers him to win.

Match #1: 3 Live Kru vs. David Young/Lex Lovett/Buck Quartermain

Solid squash. The Kru seems to be back together. Scissors Kick by Troof gets the job done.
*1/2

Hype video for Daniels/Skipper.

Dustin Rhodes comes out to do commentary, but Bobby Roode attacks him from behind. He beats him to the ring and hits him with a chair, but AMW comes out to save. Tenay explains that the Prince of Darkness match between Dustin/Roode will be best of three falls, with the third fall, if necessary, being a blindfold match. What the fuck? GODDAMNIT TNA.

Match #2: America's Most Wanted vs. The Naturals w/ Chris Candido
Candido is wheeled down to the ring by Jarrett's Lawyer, selling the injury Nash gave him weeks back with a sling and a neck brace and a cast on hsi arm. Really good match, as usual for these teams. Nice brawl to begin, but then the commercial break got rid of basically all the Naturals' control seg. Harris is not as good a hot tag as Storm. Naturals bumped around well. Harris goes for the Catatonic as the ref deals with Storm and the other Natural, AND CANDIDO GETS UP FROM HIS CHAIR AND HITS HARRIS WITH THE CAST AND THE NATURALS WIN! AMAZING!
**3/4

Hype video for Lethal Lockdown.

Match #3: AJ Styles/Jeff Hardy vs. Abyss/Raven
Good stuff. Could have been better, if it had more AJ/Raven, but AJ still did a hell of a job making this work. Big awesome bumps, fiery comebacks, etc. Jeff and Abyss weren't totally dogging it either, but they were hardly great or anything. AJ was a good FIP. Jeff has a shitty hot tag though. Abyss hits AJ with the chain for a DQ.

TNA LOCKDOWN 2005
APRIL 24TH, 2005
ORLANDO, FL

It is announced as the show opens that Kevin Nash has an infection in his leg, and will be replaced by BG James tonight.

All matches are Six Sides of Steel, so I don't feel the need to write that for every match.

Match #1: Sonny Siaki/Gran Apollo vs. Chris Candido/Lance Hoyt w/ The Naturals
:( It's time. I'd love to tell you this is a great match, because Candido deserves to go out with a great one, but it's not. It fucking blew. Candido is the only actual good wrestler here and he's out in the first two minutes. It should be Kash in there too, not even Candido, but he got fired days prior to this for shitting on TNA in interviews. Of course, Candido's death is still mostly Siaki's fault. He breaks Candido's leg on a dropkick, as he landed down on the knee and shit. Candido is helped out, so Hoyt is all alone. Siaki and Apollo eventually win.
3/4*

The Naturals attack Hoyt post-match and blame him for the incident.

In the back, Dusty makes AMW/Canadians into a strap match, and then draws the first names for Lethal Lockdown. It will be Jarrett and Sean Waltman to start for 5 minutes.

Hype video for Dustin/Roode.

Match #2: Dustin Rhodes vs. Bobby Roode w/ Scott D'Amore [Best of Three Falls - Prince of Darkness Match]
Roode is able to get a flash roll up within a minute to go 1-0. We then got about 11 minutes of a normal match, which was solid stuff. They build well that Roode has the normal Bulldog scouted, so Dustin has to hit one off the top rope to win and make it 1-1. If it ended there, it'd be about **1/2. Not great, but the definition of solid. Then 4 minutes of a blindfold match killed it. Just horrible, as all blindfold matches are. D'Amore throws a chair in, but Riley runs out to give Dustin directions, and he hits roode with the chair to win.
**

In the back, Chris Daniels cuts a promo. He says this title means more to him than Triple X ever did, but Skipper walks up to him. Skipper says he better not talk like that anymore, and says to use his inside voice when he's talking to the king of Six Sides of Steel, and he's leaving with nothing tonight.

Match #3: Chris Sabin vs. Shocker vs. Michael Shane w/ Trinity vs. Sonjay Dutt [X-Scape Match]
This is a horrible stip. Two people will be eliminated by pin or submission, and then when it's down to two, the first man to get out of the cage wins. This is a decent spotfest though. Sabin does a really good job here. Dutt is not totally a waste, and Shane is competent. Works great with Sabin. Shocker is still horrible. It winds up with Shocker vs. Sabin as the final pairing. They have a race to the floor, and Shocker wins. LAME.
**1/2

HARD JUSTICE: MAY 15TH!

Hype video for Raven/Jeff.

Match #4: Raven vs. Jeff Hardy [Best of Three Falls Tables Match]
This fucking stip. I don't get it at all. AT ALL. These two could probably have a fine gimmick match with Jeff's insanity and Raven's mind, and this is perfectly acceptable, but it's hardly great. Raven knocks Jeff off the other side of the cage and through a table on the floor to go 1-0. Jeff puts Raven on a table and then puts another table on top of him. He goes up to the top of the cage and jumps off, crashing through the top one and then putting Raven through the second to win. Somehow. Raven really only went through one table, so that's pretty much bullshit.

Hype video for AMW/Canada

Match #5: America's Most Wanted [c] vs. Petey Williams/Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore & A1 [NWA World Tag Team Championship - Strap Match]
This is good, probably the best match of the night so far, but it is not on the level of the AMW vs. Roode/Eric match. This is because Petey is a horrible professional wrestler and Bobby Roode is at least average at this point and he and Eric made quite the nice team. This still had a ton of awesome Eric bumping and stooging. Petey and Eric seemed to be afraid of actually whipping AMW and they treated strap shots like clubbing forearms or some bullshit. Petey tried to use powder, but it got sent back into him. As he was blinded, he accidentally hit Eric with the Destoyer, and AMW hit Eric with the Death Sentence to win.

Hype video for Daniels/Elix.

Match #6: Christopher Daniels [c] vs. Elix Skipper [TNA X Division Championship]
Real good stuff, as you may have expected. Lots of counters early on, and they tease a standoff, but instead Daniels just mocks Elix for having nothing he doesn't know, and it then becomes a fight. Daniels hurts the arm of Elix, and has some really awesome work on the arm. Lots of different kinds of holds and offense to work on the arm. Skipper's selling wasn't great, but it was pretty good, which is still better than I could have expected. Daniels counters Sudden Death in to the Angel's Wings to win.

Hype video for Lethal Lockdown.

Match #7: Diamond Dallas Page/Sean Waltman/BG James vs. Jeff Jarrett/Monty Brown/The Outlaw [Lethal Lockdown]
Generic cage brawl with weapons. Waltman once again looked really good, and if this was a good match, I'd say he carried the match. But he was just the one good wrestler in a bad match. Waltman hits Monty with the X Factor for the win. At least it was only 15 minutes, I guess, compared to Jarrett's PPV matches usually going at least 17-18 minutes or even 20 minutes.

Hype video for AJ/Abyss.

Match #8: AJ Styles vs. Abyss [#1 Contender's Match]
This might be the best Abyss match ever. I only say might be because I don't know how the Abyss/Sabu and Abyss/Christian matches will hold up. Once again he's in that position of being a big guy in an AJ Styles match, but this is one of the only times I feel like he actually contributed, even just a little bit. AJ was also the best he's looked all year, even the best he's looked since the Kash feud. He jumps Abyss on the floor with a dive, and then has some amazing spots on the floor. AND WHEN HE JUMPS AT ABYSS, LEANING ON THE RAILING, OFF THE APRON, ABYSS MOVES AND AJ WIPES OUT SOME FANS AND LANDS ON THE CONCRETE! HOLY SHIT! They move inside and AJ is busted open and keeps taking lunatic bumps. Not in that level of "all time great" due to a few egregious kickouts and other stuff, but for TNA, it's up there. AJ gets a Sunset Flip Powerbomb off the top to a pile of thumbtacks for the win.
