NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 11/3/2005 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Samoa Joe, Since 12/11/2005 TNA Impact January 1st, 2006 Orlando, FL Mike Tenay is in the ring with Christian Cage and they wish a happy new year. Confetti comes down and what not. Tenay officially announces that Sting is coming to TNA, and Christian says at Final Resolution, it will be he and Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett & Monty Brown! Jeff Jarrett comes out and talks about how Christian won't ever beat him and Christian says he's verbally abused him for months, and he'd love to physically abuse him, SLAPNUTS. They fight, and it brings out Monty, Rhino, Team Canada, AMW, Team 3D, etc. Referees come out and separate them. Match #1: America's Most Wanted [c] w/ Gail Kim vs. AJ Styles/Christopher Daniels [NWA World Tag Team Championship] This gets like 12 minutes, so it rules. Good story of AMW not being prepared for how well AJ and Dnaiels worked together. They eventually got Daniels isolated, and it was good stuff. AJ has a really awesome hot tag, and his usual awesome dive. Big awesome nearfalls too. AJ hits the Clash while the ref is down, but fucking Shannon Moore runs out. He hits his lame Blockbuster deal and Storm covers AJ to win. *** |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 11/3/2005 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Samoa Joe, Since 12/11/2005 TNA Impact January 7th, 2006 Orlando, FL Match #1: Team 3D vs. Buck Quartermaine/Lex Lovett Short 3D squash. 3/4* Bubba gets on the mic post-match, and he says they've been tag champions everywhere, ECW, WWE, and WCW. Well, not really WCW, but still. He says at Final Resolution, they get a shot at the NWA Tag Titles, and to win those titles will put them in a class with no other team in history, and he would trade all 18 of their previous reigns to be NWA Tag Team Champions just once. Well then you wouldn't be in that class you talked about. Still though, good piece. In the back, Shane interviews Planet Jarrett. He says he has his own tribute to Sting, since TNA is rolling out the red carpet. Eric Young asks why they would do that if it would just make him mad, and everyone calls him a moron. Scott D'Amore comes over with an envelope and says these are documents from Jackie Gayda, and he asks what they are. Jarrett says it's nothing and women always take things out of context. In a pretape, Sonjay Dutt is asked about Sting and says he'll bring lots of new fans to TNA. I guess something happened on the 12/31 show that wasn't in the 2005 pack. Konnan and his new crew of Homicide and Apollo attacked Bob Armstrong in the back. A match with Homicide/Apollo vs. The Naturals is set up, but LAX jumps them before the bell. It turns into a 3 on 2, before BG and Kip James run out to make the save. It appears this is where the angle starts to fall apart now that it leads to the New Age Outlaws having to fight Apollo for long periods of time, while Homicide can't hold it together because he has a hurt shoulder at this time. In the back, Jackie tries to talk to Larry, but he blows her off. Alex Shelley, Austin Aries, and Roderick Strong then come over. Aries asks if they have to ask him now to get TV time, and Strong says they deserve matches too. He says they have to pay their dues and work their way up by winning matches. Aries asks if they should go try to fight baseball players to get TV Time and Shelley says they've won matches and Shelley says he's paid dues in TNA for a year and a half, and says THERE'S MORE TO THE X DIVISION THAN AJ, JOE, AND DANIELS, AND THEY ARE THE NEXT GENERATION HERE. Larry then books them against AJ, Daniels, and Sabin tonight and says to prove it. FUCK. YES. A pretape with Chris Sabin, saying his favorite Sting memory is when he beat Hulk Hogan for the WCW Title. What the fuck, Chris? That's like the worst Sting moment ever. Match #2: Ron Killings vs. Bobby Roode w/ Scott D'Amore [Accidental Three Fall Match] Truth wins in six seconds with a roll up. D'Amore demands a rematch, and Truth again rolls him up to win, but now in like 20 seconds. They then have like 2 minutes of a real match, and then Roode wins with the Northern Lariat after a distraction. Hopefully this leads to an actual match. *1/2 In a pretape, AJ Styles talks about growing up idolizing Sting and talks about how much he loved Crow Sting. Match #3: AJ Styles/Christopher Daniels/Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley/Austin Aries/Roderick Strong This was great. Really great. Contender for best TV match TNA's ever run, which isn't saying a ton, but still. Strong was isolated for a bit, but Gen Next uses superior teamwork to take over. Awesome Gen Next control seg on AJ. Beautiful and crisp double and triple team stuff, and a great reminder of just how perfect a stable Generation Next was. Can't wait to run it in both TNA and WCW. Awesome hot tag by Sabin. They go to Daniels' hurt head on the floor to take him out, and as AJ fights Aries, Sabin falls victim to the Death by Roderick and then the Sliced Bread #2 and Gen Next wins! ***1/4 In a pretape, Christian says Sting is a great addition to TNA. A truly truly awful Planet Jarrett "Tribute To Sting" segment ends the show. Eric Young was Surfer Sting, Harris was Crow Sting, and Monty Brown was an elderly Sting. They went on and on and on and on before Christian, Rhino, and Team 3D ran out to run them off. |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 11/3/2005 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Samoa Joe, Since 12/11/2005 TNA Impact January 14th, 2006 Orlando, FL Match #1: Abyss w/ Father James Mitchell vs. Jay Lethal Jay did what he did to make this decent. Black Hole Slam ends it. *3/4 Mike Tenay is in the ring, and he brings out the winner of Mr. TNA 2005, AJ Styles! He comes out and accepts the award. He says 2006 is going to be off to a great start at Final Resolution, when he takes on New Japan's Hiroshi Tanahashi! Shannon Moore runs in from the crowd from behind, and he throws powder in AJ's eyes! He then takes the plaque and runs off with it. A recap airs of all the 3LK stuff. Christopher Daniels comes out to do commentary. Match #2: Samoa Joe vs. Cassidy Riley Awesome Joe squash again. I'd like him to get actual matches on TV. Riley takes a good beating, and Joe wins with the Choke. ** Joe brings a chair in, and he tries the Muscle Buster on the chair, but Daniels runs in to save. They fight, and Daniels actually manages to drive Joe from the ring with an Enzuiguri. In the back, Scott D'Amore talks to Gayda, and he tries to offer her a place with the group and asks what it is she wants. She says she has a list of demands, and she wants all of them met. Match #3: Chris Sabin/Sonjay Dutt/Matt Bentley vs. Petey Williams/Eric Young/A1 w/ Scott D'Amore Could have been an acceptable short spotfest, but way too much Petey. Shelley comes out to film it, but at the end, he shoves Sabin off the top. Petey then hits the Canadian Destroyer for the win. *3/4 A pretape with Jarrett and Monty airs, and they talk about TNA hanging their hats on all these new names that jumped, when they built this place from the ground up. Monty says people are intimidated of them, but they're not afraid to beat up anyways. Jarrett says he used to respect Sting, but this is 2006, and he's not taking anything of theirs. Match #4: Christian/Rhino vs. America's Most Wanted w/ Gail Kim This had three great wrestlers, so it was pretty decent. Rhino hardly lit the world on fire, but at least he was face in peril, saving us from a hot tag. Good AMW work on the arm. Storm has now started to throw amazing headbutts. This is the first time that it seems Christian is totally comfortable working face, and has a great hot tag. Team 3D comes out to stop interference, and Harris gets hit with the Gore and then a Frog Splash for the win. **3/4 Boring ass heel/face brawl to end the show AGAIN. |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 11/3/2005 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Samoa Joe, Since 12/11/2005 ![]() TNA Final Resolution 2006 January 15th, 2006 Orlando, FL Match #1: Alex Shelley/Austin Aries/Roderick Strong vs. Chris Sabin/Sonjay Dutt/Matt Bentley w/ Tracy Gen Next gets 10 minutes now, and they deliver again. Awesome double and triple teams, and they carry Bentley and Dutt well. This is also the debut of Shelley's ridiculous hairstyle with the blond streak. Sabin also has a super gay partially blond haircut now, but he's not a douchebag heel, so he just looks like a faggot. Dave Hebner is watching again. Sabin had a great hot tag, and yeah, awesome finishing run. Bentley gets Strong with the Superkick, and Shelley rolls him up to win. *** A video airs on the breakup of 4LK. Match #2: The James Gang vs. Elix Skipper/David Young w/ Simon Diamond Decent enough showcase for the Outlaws. Elix and David work well together and have some good offense. Kip is still the worst though, and dragged it down. He wins with the One and Only. I'm sure he has a different name for it, now that he's not The One Billy Gunn. ** In the back, Shane interviews Christopher Daniels and asks if he came back too soon. He says Joe has never choked him out, and he didn't look too injured last night. He says Samoa Joe believe he's unbeatable and that nobody in the X Division can stand up to him. But he believes there's a big difference between unbeatable and unbeaten, and his reign of terror is going to come to an end, and the only thing Joe can do is to SAY HIS PRAYERS. Match #3: AJ Styles vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi Tanahashi gets the hilariously stereotypical Japanese TNA stock music. This was a lot of fun, but not quite great. They didn't mesh super well. Lots of cool stuff and both men are perfectly fine wrestlers, but it was just off tonight. Moore comes from the crowd and tries to hit AJ with the stolen plaque, but he hits Tanahashi when AJ moves. AJ then hits him with the Pele and hits Tanahashi with the Styles Clash to win. **3/4 AJ regains the award, and he helps Tanahashi up. They shake hands, but Moore runs back in and steals the plaque again. A video airs on the Raven/Larry stuff. Match #4: Raven vs. Sean Waltman [Raven's Rules - If Raven Wins, He Gets a Title Shot; If Raven Loses, He's Fired] This is the least horrible of the Raven vs. Handpicked Opponent matches. Not as good as their 2005 match obviously, due to Waltman not trying as much and Raven having deteriorated by now. A ref bump happens, and Larry takes over for him. Waltman gets the X-Factor and Raven's feet are on the bottom rope, and Larry counts to three anyways. **1/4 Raven gets taken out by security. In the back, Shane talks to Ron Killings about his match tonight. Konnan and Homicide come over and Konnan says he still has nothing against Truth and considers him like family, and offers him a spot with them and tells him to think about it. In the back, Raven is getting escorted out, and Jackie Gayda walks with him. He says they're both being screwed by TNA, and they can work together, but Raven gets kicked out of the building. Match #5: Ron Killings vs. Bobby Roode w/ Scott D'Amore They got about 9 minutes now, so it was fun. Two above average but not great wrestlers having an above average but not quite great match. Makes sense. Everything looks good. Konnan comes out to talk to Truth, but it distracts him and Roode wins with the Northern Lariat. **1/2 BG James comes out to attack Konnan, but Homicide comes to save. Kip comes out to save BG, and Killings walks out on all of them. Match #6: Rhino vs. Abyss w/ Father James Mitchell Decent enough for these two. Not great, but nothing offensively bad. Rhino uses a lot of chair based offense, as does Abyss. In clear view of the referee. Then at the end, Mitchell has to distract the ref as Abyss uses the chain on Rhino. CLICK! DOOMSDAY! Black Hole Slam ends it. **1/4 Hype video for Team 3D/AMW. Match #7: America's Most Wanted [c] w/ Gail Kim vs. Team 3D [NWA World Tag Team Championship] AMW does what they can here, but it's not great. They bump around well and have a great control seg. Bubba and D-Von are pretty shitty once again though. D-Von seems especially unwilling to actually take bumps. The referee accidentally got hit with powder and was blinded. Team 3D hit the 3D and the ref counted three. Team Canada came out quickly and used the hockey stick. They rolled Storm on top of Bubba, so when the ref rolled up to see it, he awarded the match to AMW! Really creative finish, although it could have been executed a little cleaner. **1/4 In the back, Shane interviews Jarrett and Monty. Jarrett says Sting and Christian won't be able to get along, because they're both the latest Flavor of the Month that TNA management has brought in. Jeff Hardy, Kevin Nash, DDP, Rhino, Team 3D, and now the two of them, have all been brought in to try and unseat him, but he's still here. He says Sting's time is over, and Christian has turned on every tag partner he's ever had. Hype video for Joe/Daniels. Match #8: Samoa Joe [c] vs. Christopher Daniels [TNA X Division Championship] Not as great as it could have been, as it was just them working a normal match instead of being based around hate and revenge. Typical Daniels bullshit. Picks up HUGE after the Ole Ole Kick, when Daniels' concussion becomes a thing again. Joe has an awesome attack on the head with all kinds of kicks and knees to the head. AJ Styles comes out to try and hype up Daniels. Joe keeps kneeing a KO'd Daniels in the head on the mat, until AJ throws in the towel and the ref stops it. *** AJ checks on Daniels and Joe leaves. Hype video for the main event. Match #9: Sting/Christian Cage vs. Jeff Jarrett/Monty Brown w/ Gail Kim Good match. Sting has kind of a weird rap theme, and Tenay yelling that the reaction is deafening when it is absolutely NOT is pretty funny. So yeah, Christian is more over than Sting. Cool. That being said, Sting was motivated and pretty good. Christian takes a huge bump to the floor to lead into him as face in peril. In terms of what they did and how it was laid out, this is the best E&C/Hardy Boyz match I've ever seen where only one of them was in this. Jarrett and Monty tried a Conchairto, Christian took stupidly huge bumps, and Sting had a real good hot tag. Went on a little too long, but the finish was cool. Jeff went to hit Christian with the guitar, but Sting broke the guitar with his bat! He then hit the Scorpion Death Drop to win. **3/4 |

They don't have a ton of chemistry together, but it's a Sabin push sort of, so I'll take it. Dutt wins with the Hindu Press. ** TONIGHT: AJ vs. Moore in a Street Fight, Sting speaks! In the back, Shane interviews AJ and says he has a title shot at Samoa Joe at Against All Odds. Christopher Daniels comes over and says it's convenient that he gets a title shot after throwing in the towel for him. AJ says it was a hard decision, and Daniels says it wasn't his decision to make. Daniels asks how he'd like to lose because of someone else's decision, and AJ says his heart was too big for his head to make the right decision, and he had to do it. Daniels says he guesses he's lucky to have such a great friend then. Match #2: Ron Killings/Lance Hoyt/Shark Boy vs. Petey Williams/Eric Young/A1 w/ Scott D'Amore Well. This happened? They did stuff and Petey beats Sharkie with the Destroyer. *3/4 A video airs on all the weird Jackie Gayda stuff. Match #3: The James Young vs. Kenny King/Buck Quartermaine Well this sucked. 1/2* Konnan and Homicide come out post-match and they challenge them to a match at AAO. In the back, Shane interviews Larry. He says Sting will be here next week apparently, and he also promises to announce who will fight Jarrett for the title at Against All Odds. How is this worth teasing? Christian won a #1 Contender's Match. Of course, Monty won a #1 Contender's Match before then and that randomly got reset. Maybe TNA just resets all contenders back to default after every PPV? Christopher Daniels comes out to do commentary, once again. Match #4: AJ Styles vs. Shannon Moore [Street Fight] Well, Moore is no Kid Kash. No reason for this to be a Street Fight at all, they don't use weapons or brawl a lot or cheat or anything. They have a 4 minute match, and AJ has his leg worked on a bit. Samoa Joe comes onto the stage to watch. Daniels comes onto the apron and throws a towel in to distract AJ, and Moore rolls him up to win. ** In the back, Shane interviews Larry and Team 3D comes in. They say they want both AMW and Team Canada, and Larry says he loves them, but they can only have one match, and he tells them to think about it for a week, and then to tell him which team they want first. They leave, and Larry calls them crybabies and Shane looks disgusted. Christian is in the ring and he calls Jarrett and Monty gay with a boring Brokeback Mountain joke. Jeff Jarrett comes out and asks if Sting's really coming next week, and says maybe he and Monty were too much for him. Christian says he talked to Sting, and he's coming to make a huge announcement. Jarrett says if Christian does get that title shot, he'll beat him and send him back to the midcard where he belongs. Christian hits him, and hey, Monty comes out. Rhino makes the save, and Abyss gets involved. SHOW. ENDING. BRAWL. |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 11/3/2005 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Samoa Joe, Since 12/11/2005 TNA Impact January 28th, 2006 Orlando, FL Match #1: Jeff Jarrett w/ Gail Kim vs. Jay Lethal Awesome Lethal performance. His offense all looks awesome, but he also sells hugely for Jarrett. During the match, Jackie Gayda comes out and gives Gail a tape and says to listen to it. Lethal takes an insane bump off The Stroke and Jarrett wins. ** Christian comes out with the mic and says he just got the good news, and at Against All Odds, he will liberate the NWA World Heavyweight Championship! Match #2: Team 3D vs. Buck Quartermaine/Kenny King Another lame Team 3D squash. 1/2* Bubba gets on the mic post-match, and he says he's going to put their decision up to the fans' vote at TNAWrestling.com, and whoever gets more votes between Team Canada and AMW is who they'll face at Against All Odds. A video airs on all the X Title stuff, with Larry announcing Joe/AJ/Daniels II at Against All Odds. In the back, Generation Next is arguing with Jerry Lynn, and Shane comes over with the mic. Aries asks when they're going to get a shot at the X Title, and it could be any of them, and AJ and Daniels can't just trade #1 Contenders spots forever. Shelley says they were asked to win matches, and they did. Lynn says they cheated, which they clearly didn't do, so it doesn't count.Oh my god, fuck you, Jerry Lynn. Bentley comes over and says he should get a shot, and Lynn okays it and says he has Joe next. What the hell? Match #3: Samoa Joe vs. Matt Bentley w/ Tracy I always delight when someone amazing brutalizes a shitty wrestler. Finlay killing Powerplant grads, Dick Murdoch punching Paul Roma in the eyes, and this too. Awesome Joe mauling. Dave Hebner takes notes again. Gen Next also comes out to laugh at Bentley. Joe wins with the Muscle Buster and the Choke. ** A hype video airs for Abyss/Rhino. Match #4: Rhino vs. Abyss w/ Father James Mitchell This is about a minute before they end up brawling to the back, and it stops being a match. 3/4* They have a terrible brawl in the back and Rhino gores him through the "wall". It's actually a tin sheet. Mike Tenay brings out Sting to end the show, and he gives him the mic. He says he thought he had wrestled his last match against Ric Flair on March 26th, 2001 and pretty much ignores his previous TNA stuff in 2003. He says the one thing he always regretted was that he never got to say goodbye on his own terms. He says he got an offer from Spike TV to come in and he puts over TNA. He says Final Resolution was his way of saying goodbye, and he thanks everyone, etc. Christian comes out to try and talk him out of it, but Sting walks out anyways. |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett, Since 11/3/2005 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Samoa Joe, Since 12/11/2005 TNA Impact February 4th, 2006 Orlando, FL In the back, Team 3D announces that they will face Team Canada at the PPV. I assume everyone voted for them to keep the tag belts off of Team 3D. Good choice for once, TNA fans. Match #1: Rhino vs. Kenny King Typical Rhino squash against someone who isn't good enough to carry him. 3/4* In the back, Shane interviews Larry. He is upset with Sting's departure. Aries and Strong come over, and Aries is now in the Austin Starr outfit. They want more opportunities now that they've made an impact. The Naturals come over and they want back in the tag title hunt, so Larry organizes a four team mini tournament to see who challenges for the tag titles at AAO. Match #2: AJ Styles vs. Jay Lethal Very fun AJ showcase. Lethal has some fun stuff too, before being beaten with the Styles Clash. ** In the back, Team Canada says they will take out Team 3D for good. Gail Kim says she listened to the tape and there's a lot of stuff on there that could cost them their jobs. Scott says he'll take care of it, and he's got a plan. Match #3: Chris Sabin/Sonjay Dutt vs. Petey Williams/A1 [#1 Contender's Tournament] I am a Sabin fan, and I haven't hated Dutt lately, but Petey and A1 dragged this way way way down. Sabin beats Petey with the Cradle Shock. *3/4 In the back, Shane interviews AJ and Daniels comes in. AJ says they're even now, and Daniels says it wasn't about that, and they argue about the towel again. Daniels says AJ is so arrogant to think everyone needs him, and Daniels shoves him, and they fight. They get pulled apart. Match #4: Konnan/Homicide/Apollo vs. 3 Jobbers Not nearly enough Homicide in this, so it sucked. 1/2* Highlights air of the press conference between Jarrett and Christian. They smartly clip it up a lot. Christian wants the belt, Jarrett does his usual thing. They then randomly talk about Sting. Why is that relevant here? Monty Brown challenges the winner. Match #5: Austin Aries/Roderick Strong w/ Alex Shelley vs. The Naturals [#1 Contender's Tournament] This is legitimately great for 5 minutes. Best non-AMW Naturals match that I've ever seen. Shelley is filming the match, but Scott D'Amore comes down to talk to him mid-way through, and they leave together. They had a lot of nice double team moves as heels, and it took them about 9 months to figure out that they can do those moves as babyfaces, and not just a lot of punches and kicks all match. They also actually showed fire! And of course Strong and Aries are in the running for Best Tag Team Alive at this point (along with Londrick, MNM, Cape Fear, The Embassy, The Briscoes, Arrogance, SD/DR...2006 is the best year for tag wrestling of this generation probably.) They try the Natural Disaster on Aries, but Strong trips up the back Natural, and Aries rolls up the front one with the ropes to win. **3/4 In the back, Planet Jarrett talks to Shelley. He asks him to film her to find dirt on him, and he's given him all of her information. Shelley leaves. On one hand, they clearly could have gotten any kind of private detective or camera guy and it's not like Shelley is the only person with a camera, but then at least it's something like a push for Shelley. They all leave, but Eric Young takes the camera and says he doesn't think Sting is gone. |

D'Amore has the tape and says Shelley did amazing work. Eric says Sting's not gone, and Jarrett asks what the hell is wrong with him, and tells him Sting is gone and tells him to keep repeating that until it sinks in. <3 Eric. Match #1: Austin Aries/Roderick Strong vs. The Naturals This is the end of the Strong/Aries push. There was a blizzard this weekend, and Aries, Strong, Shelley, Lethal, and Daniels were at an ROH show in Long Island. TNA wanted them to leave and miss the show to make PPV. Everyone but Strong and Aries left, and for this, they were phased out. I don't blame TNA for it after Aries and Strong clearly chose ROH over TNA, but it's just a shitty situation all around. It ended up making Gabe slowly get rid of Shelley, quickly get rid of Lethal, and it was the end of the Gen Next in TNA deal. Better than the first match, with the same basic ideas. The Naturals randomly show a lot again, and GN does the heavy lifting. Natural Disaster beats Aries. *** In the back, Shane interviews Larry, and he says that if anyone interferes in the main event, they will be fired. Match #2: Alex Shelley vs. Jay Lethal vs. Matt Bentley vs. Petey Williams Tracy and D'Amore are there. This is a lot of fun, and Shelley and Jay both do a great job carrying it. Especially against each other, as they have some amazing chemistry. Too much Petey and Bentley to be great though. Gayda comes out to slap Shelley on the floor, and then Lethal rolls up Petey for the upset/awesome victory. **3/4 In the back, Rhino cuts a promo. Hype video for James Gang/LAX. Match #3: The James Gang vs. Homicide/Machete w/ Konnan Apolo no-showed, and he is finally gone! I refuse to call this tag team LAX, since it's not Homicide and Hernandez, but that's the official name now. Homicide is the only good one in there, and has started to recover from the arm injury, so he's okay. He's not great and is in too infrequently to carry it, but at least this is kept at around 5 minutes. BG pins Machete with the Pumphandle Drop thing. *3/4 Konnan and Homicide attack them post-match, until Bullet Bob Armstrong makes the save and they leave. Wait, really? They're afraid of him in a 2 on 1 situation? What the fuck, TNA? Match #4: America's Most Wanted [c] vs. Chris Sabin/Sonjay Dutt [NWA World Tag Team Championship] Sabin is coming in with a hurt ankle. Perfect big/small underdog kind of deal going on here. They go after the ankle to take over on Sabin, and his ankle selling is surprisingly good. Dutt has a decent hot tag and they have a few great nearfalls. Harris slams Sabin's ankle into the post on the floor, and they get Dutt with the Death Sentence for the win. *** In the back, Shane interviews Jarrett. He says he's not nervous and rants about TNA Management. Match #5: Rhino vs. Abyss w/ Father James Mitchell [Falls Count Anywhere] Typical bullshit here. Tables, uninspired brawling, and then a big spot at the end that seems like a great idea, but that has flawed execution. It's supposed to be Rhino hitting Abyss with a Gore off the bleachers through stacked tables, but Rhino pussies out and he just hits a lame shoulderblock to the gut, and Abyss has to do a horrible sell to fall backwards through the tables. Rhino climbs down and covers to win. ** Match #6: Samoa Joe [c] vs. AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels [TNA X Division Championship] This was a great match, but not on the level of the first one, obviously. Lots of awesome spots and bumps from everyone, but it lacked the amazing layout and progression of the first match. More contrived spots here as well, although they were mostly on Daniels' end. When it was just Joe/AJ, it was the best. Joe ends up beating AJ with the Muscle Buster. *** Hype video for 3D/Team Canadia. Match #7: Team 3D vs. Bobby Roode/Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore Due to Eric Young, this is the best Team 3D 2 on 2 match yet in TNA. Team 3D only sort of brought it, which is the most they've brought it so far, but still. This is almost all the work of Roode and Eric. They bust open D-Von and have some great work on the cut. Bubba has a shitty hot tag. Eric gets beat with the 3D. **1/2 The rest of Team Canada comes out to attack, but Ron Killings runs out to save. Hype for the main event. Match #8: Jeff Jarrett [c] w/ Gail Kim vs. Christian Cage [NWA World Heavyweight Championship] Earl Hebner debuts as a ref here, in another awful TNA decision. Gail interferes a lot, so she should be fired. This was mostly great. The best part was how they refused to work a formula Jarrett Brawl, and it was more Christian's style. Still some overbooking near the end, and Tenay going nuts at Hebner not to do it when Jarrett put on a Sharpshooter was the worst thing. But yeah, the end. Ref bump, guitar stuff, nearfalls, etc. Christian wins the belt with the Unprettier. FINALLY. **3/4 Only one more Jarrett title reign before he goes away for a while! |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Christian Cage, Since 2/12/2006 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Samoa Joe, Since 12/11/2005 TNA Impact February 18th, 2006 Orlando, FL NEW Champion Christian Cage (the superior kind of CCC) comes out to open the show, and he thanks everybody for the support. He says he's waited 12 years to be the World Heavyweight Champion, and he dedicates this victory to everyone who's ever been told they don't have what it takes and anyone who's ever been held back. He said he was told before he came out here that Monty Brown is going to be the #1 Contender at Destination X on March 12th, and he'll defend the belt against everyone that comes at him, because that's how he rolls. In the back, Borash interviews Jeff Jarrett and the rest of Planet Jarrett. He says he was screwed (somehow), but he'll get the shot again soon enough. He says he ran Sting off after one match, and Eric again says he's not gone. Jarrett tells him to shut up about that, and D'Amore says later tonight, they're going to watch the footage of Jackie that Shelley got them. Before the first match, Tenay and DW announce that the World X Cup will be returning in the coming months, and qualifying matches for Team TNA will be held. Match #1: Roderick Strong vs. Jay Lethal vs. Shannon Moore [Team TNA Qualifying Match] Decent spotfest for 3 minutes. Lethal vs. Strong is awesome. Lethal beats Strong with the Dragon Suplex to win. ** A video airs on Ron Killings. In the back, JB interviews the James Gang. They challenge LAX to a handicap match at Destination X to get their revenge. Bullet Bob Armstrong comes in and says he wants to make the odds even and he wants to get revenge on Konnan. They're okay with it, but BG says his mom is gonna kill him. Match #2: Konnan/Homicide/Machete vs. THE BORDER PATROL [Donovan Morgan/Michael Modest/Some Other Guy] LATINO STREET THUGS VS. THE INS! AMAZING! It wasn't really good or anything, but whatever, this ruled in theory. They hit a Doomsday Bulldog on one of them to win. *1/4 They whip the Border Patrol post-match. In the back, Larry talks to Samoa Joe. He says he and the Championship Committee and TNA Management all love the X Division and are proud of him as X Division Champion. But they have a tradition at Destination X, and as such, he will defend against AJ and Daniels in an ULTIMATE X MATCH! Joe is not pleased, and he says when stunts like this get pulled on him...well, they call Larry a Living Legend. He might just be called Legend soon enough. FUCK. YEAH. JOE. HE IS SAMOA JOE AND HE IS PRO WRESTLING. Match #3: Christopher Daniels vs. Austin Aries Good match....for 90 seconds. God damnit. Daniels puts Aries into The Choke, causing Joe to run out and attack Daniels for the DQ. *1/2 They fight, and AJ Styles runs out with a chair. He drives off Joe with chair shots, and he says just so Daniels knows, that wasn't for him. Planet Jarrett, now including Alex Shelley, is gathered around a TV in the back. Shelley goes to put the tape in, but Jackie Gayda shows up and says to stop, and she'll go away now. Jarrett says he doesn't think so, and now they have a list of demands for her to follow, and says she now works for him. Jarrett says now that Shelley has earned his stripes, he wants him to go find footage of Sting to prove that he's a quitter, and he says to take Eric Young with him so Eric will finally shut up. Match #4: Ron Killings/Team 3D vs. Bobby Roode/Petey Williams/A1 w/ Scott D'Amore Truth is used to trying to carry two past their prime guys, so this is like riding a bike. That being said, Roode and Truth are the only two good wrestlers in this match and don't get paired up often, so this kind of blew. A1 gets hit with the 3D for the win. *1/2 AMW comes out to attack, along with Roode and Petey. They handcuff Team 3D to the ropes and beat on them, until Truth gets back in, and Rhino runs out for the save. In the back, Monty Brown has kidnapped a camera and says he's going to show people how to really hunt. He storms into Christian's locker room, and the show ends there. |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Christian Cage, Since 2/12/2006 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Samoa Joe, Since 12/11/2005 TNA Impact February 25th, 2006 Orlando, FL Match #1: Monty Brown vs. Dylan Knight Good Monty squash. *1/2 Monty calls Christian out to the ring post-match, and he comes out. Christian comes out and is not mad at all for the implied attack. Weird. He says there will be no glass ceiling in TNA while he's champion, and Monty deserves a shot. He asks him what the capital of Thailand is, yells "BANGKOK!", and kicks him in the dick. They have a pull-apart. Jarrett/AMW/Abyss vs. Rhino/Truth/Team 3D is announced for Destination X. In the back, Planet Jarrett celebrates and Jeff says Shelley got some great footage of Sting. Jarrett says they're having another viewing party tonight. Christopher Daniels comes out to do commentary again. Match #2: AJ Styles vs. Roderick Strong Typically great AJ showcase. They got 4 minutes and Strong got in some awesome stuff before AJ wins with the Styles Clash. **1/4 In the back, Gail Kim gives Gayda an outfit for the party. DON'T CARE. Match #3: The James Gang vs. Bobby Roode/A1 w/ Scott D'Amore Bobby tried, but this was not good. At least it was only like 2 minutes. LAX came out and Konnan hits Kip with the slap jack, and Roode pins him to win. 1/2* They beat them down in another 3 on 2, until OLD ASS FUCKING BULLET BOB ARMSTRONG RUNS OFF ALL THREE OF THEM. A video airs on the history of Ultimate X. Match #4: Samoa Joe vs. Shark Boy Typically great Joe squash. Muscle Buster and The Choke ends it. ** Match #5: America's Most Wanted [c] vs. Ron Killings/Rhino [NWA World Tag Team Championship] This is the debut of "WHAT'S UP", so that's horrible. This is decently good for the 4 minutes it got, since Truth and AMW are all good to great. Not great, because Killings is randomly doing power spots instead of his dancing and energetic striking stuff. AMW carries Rhino. Abyss hits Rhino with the Black Hole Slam on the floor, and AMW beats Truth with the Death Sentence. ** In the back, Planet Jarrett gathers for the viewing party. Jackie is dressed like a meth addicted chimney sweep themed prostitute in a second or third tier American city. I suppose an argument could be made for Orlando as one of those cities, so fair enough. ![]() FUCK YEAH PAPARAZZI PRODUCTIONS! It shows Sting picking up his kids from school and doing boring middle aged dad stuff and going to the gym. Shelley is mad on commentary because he had to follow Sting to find his address. Shelley saying he wants a house like this when he moves out of his apartment was fantastic. Jeff asks Eric if he's convinced now, and he says no. He says Sting was working out, and he's gong to get all of them, especially him. Eric says not to call him Showtime anymore or Sting will kill him. Jeff tells him to go get more footage, and wants Sting to be saying that he quits. They all leave, except Eric, who tells the camera that this is the worst idea yet. Eric Young is the star of all of this. |

Norman had a briefly amazing hot tag and did the Big Wiggle. He then turned into the Black Hole Slam and Abyss pinned him to win. ![]() *3/4 Jeff gets on the mic, and he calls Alex Shelley down to the ring and asks if he has proof yet. Shelley comes out with a tape, and he says he has a tape, and Jarrett immediately takes it and leaves, and Shelley looks nervous, but shrugs and leaves. In the back, Planet Jarrett tells Jackie Gayda to go get the viewing room ready. Everyone is there, except for Eric Young, and Jeff tells someone to go find him. The Ultimate X structure is up. Match #2: Lance Hoyt vs. Kenny King According to Tenay, Matt Bentley turned heel on Hoyt on Xplosion and nobody cares. Hoyt wins with a Boot. 1/4* In the back, LAX jumps BG James! They drag him out to the ring, and Konnan says what they do to BG tonight is going to be nothing compared to what they're going to Bullet Bob Armstrong at Destination X. Kip James then runs out and makes the save. A horrible music video for "What's Up?" airs. Match #3: Chris Sabin/Jay Lethal/Sonjay Dutt vs. Petey Williams/Bobby Roode/Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore Good stuff for 4 minutes. Eric Young clearly has a VHS tape down the front of his trunk, and tells the camera not to say anything. Eric and Bobby don't let Petey do much, and Lethal puts in good work. Sabin literally never leaves the apron. Jeff Jarrett comes out and makes Eric give him the tape. Petey beats Dutt with the Canadian Destroyer. ** Christian Cage comes out, and he starts to talk, but Father James Mitchell comes out. He says Christian jumped over a lot of people when he got here to get a title shot, including Abyss, and if he doesn't agree to face his monster for that title, it will be DOOMSDAY. Monty Brown attacks Christian from behind, and they brawl to the ramp. Monty throws Christian off the ramp into the railing, and he then holds up the belt. TNA has a bumper before the break that says "STILL TO COME: JOE & PUNK VS. AJ & DANIELS" and everyone loses their shit briefly before Tenay says that's Shannon Moore as Joe's partner. It is now time for another viewing party. Shelley tries to say something, but Jarrett says to shut up and watch. It's Shelley filming Sting playing with his kids on a playground, but Sting sees the camera. He matches over to the car and grabs the camera. He says to tell Jeff Jarrett that this isn't funny to him, and to tell him that he'll be at the next PPV now, and that Steve Borden's showing up to kick his ass. A MAN CALLED STEVE. Everyone in Planet Jarrett is upst with this, and Jeff yells at Shelley for not saying anything. Eric just shakes his head. Match #4: AJ Styles/Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe/Shannon Moore I actually loved this. Great formula tag. Tag maybe isn't the best word, since Moore is in for like one minute out of 7 or 8. Joe does his thing and yeah. Not a ton to say here, it wasn't particularly deep or anything. Daniels goes for the Angel's Wings on Moore, but Joe totally wipes him out with a Lariat to win. *** AJ steals Joe's belt, and he hangs it in the middle of the X. He challenges Joe to come get it, and Joe freaks out because it's so high. And thus, the first chink in the armor of TNA's awesome booking of Samoa Joe. In the back, Jarrett gets on his phone and calls an old friend. |

First time I've watched a match in this series and thought it was disappointing. Naturals were botching almost everything they tried and AMW clearly didn't give a fuck about carrying them, now that there are other tag teams in the fed to work with. AMW wins with the Death Sentence. ** A video airs on Ultimate X, showing the experience of AJ and Daniels in it with pretape interviews mixed in. Daniels talks about winning the X Title last year at this PPV, and beating AJ to win it. AJ says that was hardly a win, and he actually WON the X Title against Petey and Sabin in one. They agree that Joe is out of his element. In the back, Larry has banned Christian and Monty from the building. Match #2: Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin vs. Sonjay Dutt [Team TNA Qualifying Match] Decent spotfest. Shelley vs. Sabin was a lot of fun. Dutt was off tonight though. Almost back to how awful he was in 2003. Sabin beats Shelley with the Cradle Shock. **1/4 A video airs on the Sting stuff. Jeff Jarrett says they didn't invade privacy, because he was on public property. A presentation airs with Tenay giving the BaseBrawl guys a replica X Title belt. Hype video for Christian/Monty. Match #3: Rhino/Ron Killings/Team 3D vs. Matt Bentley/Shannon Moore/Elix Skipper/David Young w/ Simon Diamond Diamond gets on commentary to complain about the baseball stuff again. Not this again. This is decent enough of a showcase for the babyface team. Killings beats David Young with the Scissors Kick to win. *1/2 |

Perfect opener. Lots of cool stuff in a match with at least a basic structure. Shelley has a good control seg, Lethal has a lot of fire, etc. Lethal breaks out a really graceful and beautiful Tope Suicida. They do stuff, and Shelley wins with the Sliced Bread #2. *** In the back, JB interviews Team Canada. Roode says The Naturals are stupid to ask for a match against them. D'Amore hypes up the World X Cup and says Team Canada will be fielding a team once again, and says Petey Williams will be their captain once again. Match #2: Lance Hoyt vs. Matt Bentley w/ Tracy Yeah, this sucked. Shelley and Eric Young walk around the crowd and ringside handing out flyers. They have a picture of Sting and say "HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN? CONTACT JEFF JARRETT IMMEDIATELY" Tracy shows one to Matt, distracting him, and Hoyt wins with the Boot. *1/2 In the back, JB interview Rhino, Truth, and Team 3D. Generic promo. Match #3: The Naturals vs. Bobby Roode/Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore & A1 Eric has now finished his search for Sting in 10 minutes. Great work. He's even more scared of his pyro than usual. The Naturals are back to sucking after their brief foray into being good about a month ago. Roode and Eric looked great though. Roode has good offense, and Eric takes a bunch of insane bumps. They use the hockey stick to win. **1/2 Hype video for the six man. Match #4: The James Gang/Bob Armstrong vs. Konnan/Homicide/Machete Horrible horrible horrible match. Worst of the year so far. Homicide's only screen time is selling for Bob Armstrong, who beat up everyone at a point. Kip beats Machete with the One And Only. Andy's hate In the back, Shelley and Young find a bat in the bathroom. A baseball one, not the animal. Match #5: Chris Sabin vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Puma vs. Petey Williams w/ Scott D'Amore Puma randomly represents Team Japan. Well whatever, good for TJ Perkins. This is an exceptional spotfest. Dutt tries hard and TJ and Sabin are both great here. Lots of crisp and smooth stuff. Hit a bit of a lull in the middle, but the finishing run was awesome awesome shit. Huge spots and dives. Sabin wins with the Cradle Shock on Puma. *** In the back, Jarrett tells Eric Young to stop looking for Sting and tells Sting if he's here tonight to try something in the next match. Match #6: Rhino/Ron Killings/Team 3D vs. Jeff Jarrett/Abyss/America's Most Wanted w/ Gail Kim & Father James Mitchell This did not need 20 minutes, but it was pretty good. Multimans are clearly what TNA should base themselves around, especially with their roster, as they hide weaknesses really really well. The talent wasn't there for half of this match (Abyss, Team 3D, Rhino), but it was laid out really well to let Jarrett, AMW, and Truth carry it. Good finishing run, and for whatever reason, Killings is the one who loses this, after the Stroke. **3/4 Jarrett gets on the mic post-match, and he calls out Sting or Steve Borden, whichever showed up, to come out and fight him now. Nobody comes out, so he counts to 10 to give him another shot. Nothing happens, and Jarrett declares that Sting is a quitter. LOCKDOWN: APRIL 23RD! Hype video for Ultimate X. Match #7: Samoa Joe [c] vs. AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels [TNA X Division Championship - Ultimate X Match] This is clearly the least of their three ways. That being said, they deserve a ton of credit for working three triple threat matches in a six month span and repeating almost no spots at all. This is more based around hurting the opponents so it's an easy climb. They got in cool spots off the structure, but nothing contrived. Daniels continues to be great in this kind of a match. Joe seems to hurt his eye at the end, and as a result, they rush to the finish and Daniels just gets the belt down to win it. Weird, but still an awesome match. *** Match #8: Christian Cage [c] vs. Monty Brown [NWA World Heavyweight Championship] Christian's ribs are taped up from the throw off the stage, so that is a focus. Them having to go 17 minutes as a result of Joe's injury kind of holds this back from being great, but it was very good. Christian's selling is awesome, and he continues to have a great mind for finishing runs and counters to stuff. Christian wins with the Unprettier. **3/4 All of Planet Jarrett comes out to attack Christian post-match! Jarrett gets on the mic, and he says he's getting his rematch, and he'll make Christian just as much of a short transitional champion just like his brother. They handcuff him to the ropes and beat on him, and Rhino comes out to save! He is quickly beaten down like an idiot, until THE MAN CALLED STEVE MAKES THE SAVE! WOO! It's Real Estate Sting like in MEM promos, no face paint and looking like a normal middle aged dude. He corners Jarrett, BUT SCOTT FUCKING STEINER COMES IN AND LAYS OUT STING! YES! YES! YES! YES! STEINER RECLINER TO STING! STEINER AND JARRETT HUG, AND STEINER IS IN PLANET JARRETT! |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Christian Cage, Since 2/12/2006 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Christopher Daniels, Since 3/12/2006 TNA Impact March 18th, 2006 Orlando, FL Planet Jarrett opens the show in celebration, and Scott Steiner is introduced. He says he's watched TNA for a long time, and he was a fan, until they started bringing in people like Christian Cage and Team 3D and Rhino, and Sting was the final staw. He calls Team 3D a bunch of backyard no talent idiot retards and he says he has veins in his arm bigger than Christian's arm. He says Christian and Sting are gone, and he is the new face of TNA. In the back, JB interviews Larry. He says he only books matches, and he doesn't control who comes in or out of the company. He books Team 3D vs. Team Canada next week in Six Sides of Steel to promote Lockdown (HEY, LIKE THIS CAGE MATCH? BUY A PPV WHERE EVERY MATCH IS A CAGE MATCH!) Samoa Joe comes in he says it's in Larry's best interests to give him his rematch, and Larry blows him off and leaves. Joe then destroys everything in Larry's office. Match #1: Sonjay Dutt vs. Matt Bentley vs. Elix Skipper [Team TNA Qualifying Match] This was the shittiest of the qualifying matches yet. Lots of lame and blown spots. Dutt beats Skipper with the Hindu Press/ *1/2 Footage airs of Simon Diamond trying to confront AJ Polishlastname and Dale Torborg at spring training and getting beaten up. DO NOT CARE. Match #2: Abyss w/ Father James Mitchell vs. Cassidy Riley During this, Cage/Abyss for the NWA Title is announced for Lockdown. Decent enough squash. *1/4 A pretape of Christian Cage talking about stuff airs. He says he's healing up this week from injuries against Monty Brown and the post-match stuff. He's asked about the Sting thing, and he says he doesn't blame Alex Shelley completely for trying to get his foot in the door with any opportunity Jeff Jarrett can offer, but he blames Jarrett more for manipulating all these guys. In the back, James Mitchell goes up to Alex Shelley and says he's just had a capital idea, and he could use a keen young fellow like him and his camera. Shelley asks what the idea is, and Mitchell puts his arm around his shoulder and guides him off screen, saying "that can be arranged later, my boy". Alex Shelley as eager young kid falling in with the wrong crowd is pretty awesome. Match #3: Homicide/Machete w/ Konnan vs. Shark Boy/Norman Smiley This was decent enough for 2-3 minutes. Konnan accidentally hits Machete with the slap jack and Sharkie pins him to win. *1/4 Homicide and Konnan beat down Machete post-match, and they tear his shirt off of him. Match #4: AJ Styles/Christopher Daniels/Rhino/Ron Killings vs. America's Most Wanted/Alex Shelley/Shannon Moore w/ Gail Kim Wonderful eight man! Only 7 minutes or so, but the right people shine here to make it great. That meaning Shelley, AMW, AJ, and Daniels. Shelley gets isolated to start, and he is fantastic. Good work on AJ, and Truth has a great hot tag. SUPER hot crowd helps a lot here. Daniels launches Moore into the Styles Clash for the win. *** |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Christian Cage, Since 2/12/2006 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Christopher Daniels, Since 3/12/2006 TNA Impact March 25th, 2006 Orlando, FL Mike Tenay brings out Samoa Joe to open the show, and then Larry too. Larry says Joe is the talk of pro wrestling right now, and people want to see him outside of his comfort zone in the X Division. Joe asks who he's fighting at Lockdown then, and Larry points to the tron, and a video package airs for SABU! HOLY SHIT YES! TONIGHT: Team 3D vs. Roode/EY in the cage, Sting speaks Match #1: Chris Sabin/Jay Lethal/Sonjay Dutt vs. The Diamonds in the Rough Good showcase for Team USA. Sabin and Lethal both looked fantastic. Cradle Shock gets the win. ** In the back, JB interviews Team Canada, and D'Amore says Larry booked this solely for ratings, and this is completely unfair. A pretape interview with Sting "The Stever" Borden. He says he wanted that one final moment to say goodbye, but Jeff Jarrett ruined that by invading his privacy, so he had to come back to avenge his honor and his family. He says Jeff Jarrett is a cancer and needs to be taken out for good. He says he's asked to be reinstated, and at Lockdown, he's going to assemble a team to face Jarrett and his friends in LETHAL LOCKDOWN. The Naturals come out for a match, but Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett come out behind them, and they attack them. They lay them out, and Jarrett says if Sting wants to lay out a challenge to him, he's gonna make him regret it. Steiner puts Andy Douglas in the Steiner Recliner until referees and people come to pull him off. In the back, JB interviews Konnan and Homicide. Konnan says Bob pulled a knife on him, and they got rid of Machete because he wasn't producing. The James Gang comes over, and LAX leaves. Bob then gets on the mic and challenges Konnan to an ARM WRESTLING MATCH like they used to do back in the Marines. Why is this still a thing? Match #2: Team 3D vs. Bobby Roode/Eric Young w/ Scott D'Amore & A1 [Six Sides of Steel] If this was a good match, I would say that it was entirely an Eric Young carryjob. But this was like 5 minutes and butchered by commercials and with it mostly being a Team 3D squash, so I can't say that. Eric takes retardedly huge bumps and bleeds a ton. Team 3D still blows, and they won with a 3D. ** The rest of Team Canada and AMW comes out, and they attack the Dudleys. AMW throws a table in, and Abyss also comes out. AMW and Abyss stand outside the cage to stop anyone, and Team Canada puts Bubba through the table with the 3D! They then drape the Canadian flag over him and D-Von to end the show. Team 3D comes to fight, but again they get laid out with the Canadian flag draped on them. In the back, Jeff Jarrett announces that his team will be him, Steiner, and AMW. Steiner says Sting better not show his face tonight. Match #1: America's Most Wanted [c] w/ Gail Kim vs. The James Gang [NWA World Tag Team Championship] AMW does what they can, but it's not much. Konnan comes out, and he hits BG with the slap jack, and Storm covers to win. *3/4 Abyss and Father James Mitchell come out to the ring and Mitchell gets on the mic. He says as soon as Christian won the title, he ran off to make movies and to ignore the challenge of Abyss. He says they would do whatever they had to do to force a title match, and they have Part 2 to show! The video shows Christian by his door, and he sees Shelley in the bushes. He comes over, BUT ABYSS COMES OUT AND ATTACKS! They brawl to the backyard, and Abyss throws Christian in the pool! ABYSS FOLLOWS, AND HE TRIES TO DROWN CHRISTIAN! Mitchell gets him to stop and says "you can't win the belt if he's dead" like he's chiding a puppy. They throw Christian out of the pool and they leave the house. IMPACT GOES TO THURSDAY! APRIL 13TH! Hype video for Sabu. Match #2: Samoa Joe vs. Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin vs. Sonjay Dutt [X Division #1 Contender's Match] Winner fights Daniels on 4/13. Good, not great. Shelley and Sabin and Joe all rule here, but it doesn't get the big awesome finishing run you'd need for this to be called great. Joe wins with the Muscle Buster on Dutt. **3/4 Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner come out, and they want to know where Sting is, and he's tired of the mind games. What mind games? Nothing has happened. Rhino and The James Gang are in the crowd and they say they've only just begun (to live). Ron Killings is in the crowd with some jobbers, and then AJ Styles is in another spot with X Division babyfaces. He says if Jarrett wants a war, he can have one. The lights go out, and Sting is in the ring. Planet Jarrett runs out to fight him, but then AJ, Truth, and Rhino and the other people also come out to fight. SHOW. ENDING. BRAWL. |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Christian Cage, Since 2/12/2006 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Christopher Daniels, Since 3/12/2006 TNA Impact April 8th, 2006 Orlando, FL Match #1: AJ Styles vs. Abyss w/ Father James Mitchell This was a decent 5 minute "Greatest Hits" version of this pairing's usual match. Christian comes out with a tire iron, and he attacks Abyss for the DQ. **1/2 Abyss flees, and a bunch of security comes out to try and get him back and away from Abyss, but he throws them away and runs after him. In the back, Team 3D hates on Canada and they lead the Pledge. Sgt. Slaughter, they are not. It is time for the ARM WRESTLING MATCH. Hernandez debuts to attack Bullet Bob, along with Homicide. The James Gang then runs out to save. In the back, JB interviews Larry. He hypes up the World X Cuo that will be starting after Lockdown, and he's booked Daniels vs. Jushin Liger at Lockdown in a preview. This ended up not happening, since Liger didn't want to wrestle a steel cage match on the undercard where it wouldn't matter, basically protesting how horrible the Lockdown concept is. Match #2: Norman Smiley/Shark Boy vs. Elix Skipper/David Young w/ Simon Diamond This is about a minute, before Jarrett and Steiner come out, and they start beating down everyone for a no contest. 1/2* Jarrett gets on the mic and talks about how Team Sting doesn't have a chance at Lockdown, and Steiner has Smiley stretchered out of after the Steiner Recliner. Match #3: Alex Shelley vs. Roderick Strong vs. Chase Stevens [Team TNA Qualifying Match] Shelley vs. Strong was amazing as usual. During this, Tenay announces the ARM WRESTLING REMATCH AT LOCKDOWN. FUCK YOU, TNA. FUCK YOU. Shelley beats Strong with the Sliced Bread #2. **1/2 Sting comes out to end the show. Usual speech about he loves wrestling and hates cancer. He says he's not stupid enough to reveal his team yet, and he challenges Jarrett to a match on the 4/13 show. AND NOW SAY IT WITH ME! SHOW. ENDING. BRAWL. |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Christian Cage, Since 2/12/2006 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Christopher Daniels, Since 3/12/2006 TNA Impact April 13th, 2006 Orlando, FL Match #1: Christopher Daniels [c] vs. Samoa Joe [TNA X Division Championship] This is joined in progress for whatever reason. I found the first part that they cut out on youtube, and it's how a Joe match should go. The smaller guy keeps it as a game of quickness and outmaneuvers him, but eventually is caught and destroyed. The show begins with Joe having busted Daniels open and working the cut. Typical amazing Joe brutality. He wins with the Island Driver off the top. ***1/4 TONIGHT: Sting vs. Eric Young, AMW vs. Team 3D A pretape airs with Christian Cage. He says he realized he had given up his privacy a little bit and that with the title, everyone wants a piece of him, but this was way way way over the line. He says this didn't have to be personal, but now he's never wanted to beat someone more than he wants to beat Abyss. Match #2: Team 3D vs. America's Most Wanted w/ Gail Kim [Street Fight] This was good. Team 3D is once again helped by a match being a brawl all over the building. They do that for like 4 minutes, and then Team Canada comes out and takes out the ref, ending the match. **1/4 They all beat on them, AND THEN HORRIBLY, FUCKING BROTHER RUNT MAKES THE SAVE. HOW?! Hype for Sting. In the back, Jeff Jarrett says he's never turned down a challenge in his life, and tonight, Sting will face...ERIC YOUNG! YES! Match #3: Sting vs. Eric Young Fun Eric performance. Shelley came out to film this, and he also interfered a lot. Of course, this was also only like 4-5 minutes and butchered with a commercial break. Sting wins with the Scorpion Deathdrop. ** Sting goes after Alex, leading to Planet Jarrett and Sting's team fighting in THE SHOW ENDING BRAWL FOR THE THIRD WEEK IN A ROW. |

NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Christian Cage, Since 2/12/2006 NWA World Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted, Since 10/22/2005 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPIONS CURRENTLY TNA X-Division Champion: Samoa Joe, Since 4/13/2006 TNA Impact April 20th, 2006 Orlando, FL Match #1: Chris Sabin/Alex Shelley/Jay Lethal/Sonjay Dutt vs. Team Canada w/ Scott D'Amore This is sort of an X Cup preview, although Tenay says Tyson Dux and Johnny Devine will come in to replace Roode and A1 for the cup, since they're not in the X Division. Sabin is also captain of Team USA. Shelley is hesitant to face Team Canada due to the Planet Jarrett association. Too much Petey and A1, but it was decent enough. Jay has a great hot tag. Shelley accidentally trips up Jay and A1 pins him. **1/4 Hype video for Joe/Sabu. Match #2: AJ Styles/Ron Killings/Rhino vs. The Diamonds in the Rough Good showcase for what we can assume is Sting's team for War Games. He never really announced it, but this is the team that goes in with him. Elix and David look good on offense and take nice bumps. Rhino didn't have to do anything, aJ had a great hot tag, and Truth got in at the end with the Scissors Kick on David to win. **1/4 In the back, Slick Johnson talks to Larry and asks about rumors about Raven coming back or a new guy replacing him. He delivers an envelope from the office. Hype video for christian/Abyss. Christian comes out to the ring, and he gets on the mic. He says after what Abyss has done, trying to embarrass him by attacking him in his own home, he's willing to die in that ring at Lockdown to make sure Abyss doesn't leave under his own power and to make sure he leaves with the NWA Title. Christian is not good at the impassioned promos. On the tron, Mitchell is in the back and says he couldn't have asked Christian to fall into their trap any better than he already has, and he guarantees that Abyss will walk out of the cage with that title. Abyss then comes from behind, and he hits the Black Hole Slam! He chokes him out with the chain, and holds up the belt. Match #8: Jeff Jarrett/America's Most Wanted w/ Gail Kim vs. Team 3D/Brother Runt Better than expected. Spike randomly was working hard to get a job, and Jarrett sold more for him than he has for anyone in months. Turned into a nice brawl, and then the finishing run was pretty great. Jarrett beats Runt with The Stroke. **3/4 SAY IT WITH ME FOURTH WEEK IN A ROW, GUYS SHOW. ENDING. BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWL. YEAH! |
