WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Edge, Since 2/18/2011 WWE U.S. Champion: Daniel Bryan, Since 9/19/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 1/7/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel, Since 2/21/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 1/30/2011 WWE Smackdown March 11th, 2011 Houston, TX Edge comes out to open the show, and he calls out ADR. Del Rio comes out, and they fight, but then Brodus comes to save. They beat on Edge and go for the arm, but Christian comes out to save! He gets beaten down too, until referees come out to stop it. T'Lo comes out and books a TAG TEAM MATCH PLAYA! That's it? Just a tag match? Not like you're reuniting one of the greatest teams in WWE history or anything. God damnit. TONIGHT: Cole interviews Cena, Triple H cuts a promo Match #1: Kane vs. Wade Barrett w/ The Corre This is all of a minute before The Corre interferes for the DQ. Once again, probably for the best. 1/2* The Big Show comes out to save with a chair, and The Corre bails. Coming back, a TAG TEAM MATCH PLAYA has been set up. Match #2: Kane/The Big Show vs. Wade Barrett/Heath Slater w/ The Corre This was only about 3 minutes, but it was like 90% Slater taking awesome bumps, so it was less useless than you may expect. Zeke and Gabriel get involved for the DQ. *1/2 Show and Kane fight them all off. The Cole/JBL/Lawler/Austin segment is replayed in full. Match #3: Cody Rhodes vs. JTG Cody wrestled the match in a suit and the mask. It's about 50 seconds, and a nice squash for Cody. Dream Street ends the match. 3/4* The video of Shawn talking about H/Taker airs again. Cole is in the ring, and he brings out John Cena for an interview. Cena grabs the mic, and shoves Cole out of the ring. He says he's done wasting time on BS, and Miz has his attention 100%, which is probably the worst thing Miz could ever have done, and he's going to give Miz a must-see beating at WrestleMania. Cole insults him for having a big ego and says this is his show, and Cena corners Cole. Jack Swagger comes out to attack Cena, and they fight. Cena hits the FU on Swagger and leaves. Vignette for Sin Cara. Match #4: Layla w/ Michelle McCool vs. Kaitlyn Layla wins in like 30 seconds with the Lay Out. 1/4* Match #5: Rey Mysterio vs. Drew McIntye Only like 4-5 minutes, which is a shame, but it's pretty awesome. Drew delivers an awesome beating and they have some really great spots. They mix their usual stuff well together, combining Rey's cool counters with Drew's inventive apron and steps spots. Rey wins with the 619 and Penguin Splash. ![]() **3/4 Cody comes out onto the stage, and says Rey has yet to answer his challenge for WrestleMania, and Rey accepts. Triple H comes out, and he gets on the mic. He shows a video package of his most violent moments. He says Shawn Michaels noted in his video that he's able to feel nothing in the ring, and do horrible things without remorse or hesitation, and he's right, and that is why he and he alone is the man to end The Streak. He says he will look at Taker at WrestleMania and says he is the greatest legend of all time, and he'll do what nobody has done before, etc. Match #6: Edge & Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio/Brodus Clay No 5 second pose . And only 5 minutes to this episode being stuffed with bullshit segments and recaps. Good control seg on Christian, who is yet again a wonderful face in peril. Edge has his average hot tag once more, before Christian gets back in to do stuff. He hits Brodus with the Tornado DDT, and then Edge hits a shameful looking Flying Elbow to win.**1/4 |

WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 World Heavyweight Champion: Edge, Since 2/18/2011 WWE U.S. Champion: Daniel Bryan, Since 9/19/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 1/7/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel, Since 2/21/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 1/30/2011 WWE Raw March 14th, 2011 St. Louis, MO Rock promo to open the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAlkzzKVbNY THE COLE MINE IS HERE! The Miz comes out and brags about how he owns John Cena and The Rock. Anon GM comes on to say both Cena and Miz will face new opponents tonight, as it will be Cena/ADR later and Miz/Khali now. Match #1: The Miz vs. The Great Khali This is about a minute before Alex Riley comes out and attacks Khali for a DQ. 1/4* Khali attacks A-Ri with the Head Vice, but Miz lays out Khali with several chair shots. The Triple H video from SD airs. In the back, JoMo and Snooki and Dolph and Vickie have a horrible confrontation. Match #2: Daniel Bryan [c] vs. Sheamus [WWE U.S. Championship] Hey, this title is actually defended! They once again put forth an amazing 6 minute match. Lots of great big/little spots, and everything is super duper crisp. Lots of awesome nearfalls, and a really great finish. Sheamus catches D-Bry jumping off the top and hits the Brogue Kick to win. *** Hey, it's time for the Cole/Lawler/GRANDMASTER SEXAAAAAY~/JR seg: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJsXAqa_Xv0 Match #3: Randy Orton vs. Mason Ryan Short. Awful. RKO ends it. 3/4* Orton hits the punt before Punk can run out to save. HALL OF FAME, 2011: DREW CAREY! Snooki comes out and introduces her friend Trish for the match. Match #4: Trish Stratus w/ Snooki vs. Vickie Guerrero [No DQ] This is horrible, obviously. Ziggler tries to get involved, but Morrison runs out to fight him to the back. LayCool then comes out and Michelle kicks Trish in the face, and Vickie covers to win. 1/2* Vickie challenges Snooki to face them and Ziggler at WrestleMania, and she accepts, assumingly meaning JoMo and Trish, although she never specifies. BOOOOOOOOOO A video airs of Shawn talking about what it's like to face The Undertaker at Mania. He talks about how it's not just fighting Taker, it's fighting history and this whole Streak deal, and says it makes him twice as powerful as usual. Match #5: John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio w/ Brodus Clay I'd say something about giving it away for free, but this is hardly an interesting match up, no matter how hard they push it in the future. They do stuff, and it's a blatant house show match. Clay attacks for the DQ. ** The Rock's music hits as Cena fights them off, but The Miz in a bald cap comes from the crowd and hits the Rock Bottom. He peels it off and beats Cena up to the stage in one of those cringeworthy "brutal" Miz beatdowns. He ends it with the Skull Crushing Finale onto the WWE pyramid on the stage, which looked pretty fucking great, actually. |

WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Edge, Since 2/18/2011 WWE U.S. Champion: Sheamus, Since 3/14/2011 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 1/7/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel, Since 2/21/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 1/30/2011 WWE Smackdown March 18th, 2011 Kansas City, MO Match #1: Edge vs. Brodus Clay w/ Alberto Del Rio This is not good. Edge is not good at all in 2011, let alone good enough to carry Clay. Spear ends it. *3/4 ADR attacks, but Christian runs out to save. They brawl, and T'Lo comes out and books them in a Steel Cage match tonight. Match #2: Sheamus vs. Kofi Kingston GODDAMNIT WHY?! These two meshed horribly. Sheamus had some good moments, and Kofi continues to wrestle like a bag of dog shit. Drags it way down with his hideously loose comeback. Sheamus wins with the Bro Kick. ** In the back, Show talks to Kane and proposes that they re-unite to take out The Corre. Kane chokes him, and Show does the same. Kane lets go and starts laughing and says Big Show completes him. FUCK YEAH! Match #3: Cody Rhodes vs. Trent Barretta Cody comes out with a towel on his head and he wears dress clothes again. Great squash, and cody hits a nasty headbutt with the mask. He then hits the Cross Rhodes for the win. *1/4 The Shawn video from Raw airs again. Match #4: Kelly Kelly vs. Layla w/ Michelle McCool About 90 seconds of not much. Layla wins with the Lay Out. 3/4* Match #5: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel [c] vs. Kane/The Big Show [WWE Unified Tag Team Championship] They do stuff for 3 minutes. Gabriel pulls the ref out to save the belts on a DQ. *1/2 ShowKane attacks, but Zeke and Wade come out now. Wade beats down Kane using the steps, and then Zeke slams Show again like it ain't no thing. Wade and Zeke then pick up Show and drop him through the announce table. In the back, ADR says Teddy is trying to interfere with his destiny, by putting him in a cage like an animal. He says he is not an animal and walks off. Match #6: Jack Swagger vs. Chris Masters Masters carries this assload of fuck for 2 minutes before tapping out to the Ankle Lock. *3/4 Swagger then teaches Cole how to put the Ankle Lock on Masters. Horrible. HORRIBLE. Match #7: Rey Mysterio vs. Ted DiBiase w/ Maryse Fun 3-4 minutes. Ted looks decent yet again. Rey wins with the 619 and Penguin Splash. ** RAW REBOUND! Match #8: Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio [Steel Cage Match] Really smart match by Christian. The story is ADR struggling to adapt in his first Cage Match against a guy who's been in a ton of them. ADR is generally a quick learner, as has been established, so he gets some nice cage spots in after the first few moments. He starts to use the cage to target the arm, leading to a shift where Christian starts trying to escape whenever he can. Lacked that sense of violence that would make it great though. They have a race down off the top and Christian wins . **3/4 Edge comes out with ADR's car and talks about what he could do to this car with a chair, but Brodus attacks him from behind! ADR throws Christian into this cage. He goes up to the car, and they hit Edge's arm with a Conchairto! |

WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Edge, Since 2/18/2011 WWE U.S. Champion: Sheamus, Since 3/14/2011 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 1/7/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel, Since 2/21/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 1/30/2011 WWE Raw March 21st, 2011 Pittsburgh, PA TONIGHT: Orton/Rey in a 2/3rds WrestleMania Rematch featured an opening segment in which Justin Roberts introduced Jim Ross, with Michael Cole then coming out to 'Boomer Sooner,' his shirt stuffed, a bottle of BBQ sauce in hand, wearing a black cowboy hat, and limping after the injury "JR" sustained the previous week from Cole; moments later, Cole taunted Jerry Lawler at the commentary table before hiding behind his own security and locking himself in his protective pod Triple H comes out and he gets on the mic. Same shtick as usual, and at the end, he challenges The Undertaker to meet him face to face in the ring next week. He says The Undertaker will rest in peace, and fucking Ted Jr. comes out. He says he won't make it to WrestleMania, because he's going to take him out now to get some attention. He tries to fight, but Triple H beats the shit out of him with a chair, and Pedigrees him through the announce table. Match #1: Sheamus vs. Evan Bourne AWESOME.........for 90 seconds. Son of a bitch. Sheamus wins with the Bro Kick. *3/4 Daniel Bryan comes out, and he challenges Sheamus to a rematch at WrestleMania. Sheamus throws the belt at him and when Bryan catches it, Sheamus hits the Bro Kick. Fucking typical. He then accepts, but not really, because it doesn't happen. Match #2: Eve vs. Maryse This is 2 minute of nothing as Cole gets on the mic and complains. Eve wins with her shitty Neckbreaker. 1/2* Cole then promises another surprise for Lawler later. Match #3: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel vs. Santino Marella/Vladimir Kozlov Tamina and The Corre are there. This is all of a minute before The Corre gets involved for the DQ. Great. 3/4* It is a 4 on 2 and Big Show and Kane run out to make the save. They catch Zeke and hit a Double Chokeslam. God fucking damnit. NEXT WEEK: THE ROCK WILL BE HERE! after the break, Cole was joined in the ring by Jack Swagger, who confronted Lawler on the floor as Cole reviewed footage of Brian Christopher insulting Lawler the previous week; moments later, Cole said Christopher gave him the Lawler family photo album and then showed several photos of Lawler's late father, eventually saying Lawler and his dad were both bullies and he would put Lawler in his place at WrestleMania; Cole then said Lawler's family was a bunch of losers, with Lawler then fighting off Swagger before chasing Cole out of the ring, with Lawler then sustaining a clothesline from Swagger; Swagger then pressed Lawler's face against the glass pod as Cole insulted Lawler, then putting Lawler in the ankle lock outside the ring; moments later, Cole put the hold on Lawler himself while yelling at Lawler to tap out like the loser he was A fucking recap airs of the Snooki stuff. Ziggler vs. Morrison is set, but Trish brawls with LayCool, so Anon GM makes it into Morrison/Trish vs. Ziggler/Vickie/LayCool. Match #4: John Morrison/Trish Stratus vs. Dolph Ziggler/LayCool/Vickie Guerrero Solid match. Divas did fine enough, and Ziggler vs. Morrison was great once again. Ziggler hits Morrison with the Peace Zig and Vickie covers to win! YEAH! **1/4 Clips air of people talking about Triple H vs. The Undertaker. Arn and Race really make it awesome. Match #5: Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio They clearly are not taking this super seriously. They do some things, have a few nice spots. CM Punk comes on the tron and says he's by Orton's bus and says he should introduce himself to his wife (all 19 of them?). Orton runs after him, so Rey wins by count out. *3/4 Coming back, Orton runs over by the bus, but Punk attacks him from behind with a pipe to the knee! He says Orton's probably thinking that this is what he gets for punting McGillicutty, Otunga, and Mason, and he's right. He says he won't be punting anyone at WrestleMania. "NOW AIN'T THAT A KICK IN THE HEAD?!" AWESOME! He leaves, and Orton's wife comes out of the bus to check on him. Alex Riley is in the ring, and introduces The Miz. He says he has more charisma than Shawn Michaels, is more dominant than Andre The Giant, is smarter than The Rock and John Cena combined. Miz shows off his belt, and the W on the belt is flipped into an M, and says this represents the fact that he IS the WWE now, and also flips up the microphone logo upside down. Cena comes on the screen. He congratulates him on all his success and says he really does deserve a lot of credit, but he should have learned by now not to make him angry, and Cena comes from the crowd! He knocks Miz to the floor and puts A-Ri in the STFU. Miz bails and referees come out to get him off. Good segment, and the first time I've actually been able to say it feels like they're trying to hype "John Cena vs. The Miz" instead of "The Rock will be here as Cena fights The Miz". Still not buying it as a WrestleMania main event, but then both title matches are weak this year. |

WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Edge, Since 2/18/2011 WWE U.S. Champion: Sheamus, Since 3/14/2011 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston, Since 1/7/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel, Since 2/21/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 1/30/2011 WWE Smackdown March 25th, 2011 Columbus, OH In the back, T'Lo talks to Edge, who has his arm all taped up. Her says if either he or ADR get physical before WrestleMania, then he will take them off the show. Bullshit, they established 2 years ago that the Rumble winner can sue if he's taken off of WrestleMania. Match #1: CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio FAR SUPERIOR WRESTLEMANIA REMATCH! This is such a perfect pairing. They take each other's stuff so so so well, everything flows perfectly. Everything great you'd look for in a match up exists with these two. Only 6 minutes though, so it's not quite great. But about as great as you can do for 6 minutes with a fuck finish. Cody attacks Rey on the floor. **3/4 Cody lifts up his pants leg to reveal a steel brace on his knee! AND CODY KNEES REY IN THE FACE WITH THE BRACE ON PURPOSE! FUCK YEAH! A bunch of referees come out to pull him off. Match #2: Edge vs. Drew McIntyre This is the same deal as their last match, but now only 3 minutes. Drew does his best, but puts over someone not even remotely in his league. Edge breaks out the Edgacution for the win. *3/4 TONIGHT: Christian vs. ADR This is an Australian version, so they show clips from the Cena/Show match from February 2009 that is better than any match from Smackdown in 2011 so far. Still don't get how these two usually turn it on big time for TV matches, but suck against each other on PPV. I still have high hopes for their match together on the next PPV, because it's fucking John Cena and Show is always better as a heel. The video from Raw about H/Taker airs. Match #3: LayCool vs. Kelly Kelly/Rosa Mendes This is about a minute and LayCool wins. 1/4* A recap airs of the Corre beatdown from last week. Match #4: Kofi Kingston [c] vs. Wade Barrett w/ The Corre [WWE Intercontinental Championship] This blew. Not shocking, since Kofi fucking sucks and Wade is directionless and bland and has been since Nexus got nuked in late 2010 and since he got exposed in the ring. Some sloppy stuff and some boring stuff. Kofi deals with Slater on the apron, and then in a really cool finish, Wade catches Kofi when he tries his stupid kick and hits the Wasteland to win the belt. A slight improvement. *3/4 Gabriel hits Kofi with the 450 Splash post-match. The Undertaker comes out to the stage. He says the more things change, the more they stay the same. He says Triple H has convinced himself that he has the equation for how to eradicate The Streak and The Undertaker. He says he speaks with confidence on how he will break The Streak, as if he has already accomplished it, but as the time draws near, the confidence is giving way to uncertainty, and like 18 previous WrestleMania opponents, the uncertainty will soon give way to despair. He says the words "die trying" were more prolific than he thinks, and his tombstone will read "died trying". He says he will tell Triple H all of this to his face on Monday, and Triple H will put his legend on the line at WrestleMania and will leave simply known as the number #19. AIN'T NO GRAVE CAN HOLD MY BODY DOWN~! FUCK YEAH! Match #5: Jack Swagger vs. R-Truth Short bad squash. Ankle Lock wins. 3/4* RAW REBOUND! Match #6: Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio Edge and Brodus are both at ringside. Once again this is good, but not great. Christian has an awesome dive. ADR works Christian's arm, and for a guy who has an armbar as a finish, he really needs to find some other arm work besides the generic arm hold. He really has nothing else. He does other things that don't hurt the arm, and his control seg feels unfocused as a result. Christian's selling is still awesome though, as is his comeback. Edge distracts ADR and Christian hits the Killswitch to win. **3/4 Edge brings a chair in, but Christian stops him and reminds him of T'Lo's edict. Christian hits ADR with the chair instead. |

WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Edge, Since 2/18/2011 WWE U.S. Champion: Sheamus, Since 3/14/2011 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Wade Barrett, Since 3/25/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel, Since 2/21/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 1/30/2011 WWE Raw March 28th, 2011 Chicago, IL CM Punk is sitting in the ring to open the show, and is obviously super over. He says he doesn't think Atlanta will welcome him so kindly. He says they are all his people, like the New Nexus are his people, and just like when Orton punted each member in the head, he does not care about any of them. Punk says he can find more mindless sheep to do his bidding. Randy Orton comes out to brawl with his knee taped, but hey, fuck it, he still dominates. God damnit. Punk kicks Orton in the knee and lays him out with the GTS. Crowd refuses to stop cheering Punk. No idea why WWE ever tries to shut down hometown responses when the lead to the best crowds ever, but whatevs. They've embraced it now. Match #1: Edge & Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio/Brodus Clay They once again only get like 5 minutes. Same lame ADR armwork, but Christian's selling carried him again. King randomly says that Brodus hasn't impressed him, while Brodus dominates Christian. Edge spears Brodus for the win. **1/4 ADR puts Edge in the Cross Armbreaker again. SIN CARA DOES ARM DRAGS TO DUDES IN A WRESTLING RING SET UP IN A FUCKING TEMPLE OR SOME SHIT IDK BUT HE'S COMING Anon GM books Lawler vs. Swagger. The amazing Taker/H hype video set to "In Time" airs. Coore vs. ShowKane/Kofi/Santino is announced for Mania. Match #2: Santino Marella vs. Justin Gabriel All the teammates are there. This is about 90 seconds and Santino wins with the cobra. 3/4* KANE PLAYS THE TRUMPET WITH SANTINO! The Undertaker comes out and then so does Triple H. H goes to do his spit and pose, BUT THE MUSIC STOPS AND THE GONG HITS AGAIN! YEAH, FUCK YOU! MAGIC POWERS BITCH! They stare each other down, and Shawn Michaels comes out to get attention. He hypes up the match and says he couldn't miss this. He asks Triple H what makes him think he can do what he couldn't, and H says Shawn went soft when he realized he didn't have to WIN for people to still call him Mr. WrestleMania. He says he's not Mr. WrestleMania, and he has to win, and he will. He talks about coming here 16 years ago and learning that The Undertaker is capable of inhuman things, and he patterned himself after him, because he represented everything the WWE was and should be. He says Shawn is the only other man he respects that much, and 5 or 6 years ago, they made a pact with each other that if one of them could no longer go the way they could in their prime that they would look each other in the eyes and say "it's time", and if he couldn't accept it, they would end it for them. Clearly they're both horrible friends because 5 years ago, in 2006, Shawn had his worst year ever, so Triple H should have done it then. H says he's here now, looking Taker in the eyes, and he's saying "it's time". He says he has to be the one, as in 18-1, and with all due respect, he and his Streak will rest in peace. Taker grabs the mic from him and he says if he ever got to the time where he thought someone should end it, he'd want that person to be him, but it ain't that time, and he knows he's gonna kill himself trying. But he will still be alive, and so will the Streak. He says to ask Shawn if he doesn't want to take his word for it. He says Shawn came THAT close, but he didn't get it done, and he doesn't see the confidence and arrogance in Shawn anymore, because he humbled him. SHAWN TRIES THE KICK, BUT TAKER CATCHES IT! HE GRABS SHAWN BY THE THROAT, but Triple H saves his friend. H tells Shawn to tell Taker why he'll beat him. Shawn is in the corner and looks like he's seen a ghost. He leaves and says he's sorry, but he can't do it. H is pissed, and turns to see Taker. TAKER FUCKING SMIRKS, TIPS HIS HAT, AND LEAVES! INCREDIBLE SEGMENT. Match #3: Jerry Lawler vs. Jack Swagger w/ Michael Cole This is a minute before Lawler uses a chair for a DQ. 3/4* Lawler chases Cole until he hides in the Cole Mine. Match #4: Daniel Bryan/John Morrison vs. Sheamus/Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero This is good for the 4 minutes it gets. Everyone tries really hard at least. Sheamus beats Danielson with the Celtic Cross. Cole is now trying to name it Pale Justice again. Fuck that shit. **1/4 In the back, Orton. talks. about. C. M. Punk. and. their. match. at. Wres. tle. Man. ia. HALL OF FAME 2011: THE LEGION OF DOOM/THE ROAD WARRIORS! WELL. Horrible segment with Trish and Snooki. The Rock comes out and calls John Cena a homeless Power Ranger lookalike who emulates Vanilla Ice. John Cena comes out and says this is where they both belong and says he's as much of a Rock fan as anybody else. He lists of all Rock's insults to him, and brushes it off. He says Rock can make fun of kids loving him, but he's proud of that. He says Rock can call him all that stuff, but if he's going to come out and say he doesn't work his ass off and what not, then they'll have words. Rock says he wouldn't mind having "words" with Cena right now, and Cena challenges him to do it. Miz and A-Ri come out to ruin it and Miz says Cena will lose at Mania, and Rock won't risk injury, so he doesn't think -- IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT HE THINKS. YEAH! Miz and Riley attack Rock, and Cena saves. They get rid of Cena, but Rock gets rid of Miz and hits A-Ri with the People's Elbow, and then Cena hits him with the FU to end the show. |

WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Edge, Since 2/18/2011 WWE U.S. Champion: Sheamus, Since 3/14/2011 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Wade Barrett, Since 3/25/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel, Since 2/21/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 1/30/2011 ![]() APRIL 3RD, 2011 THE GEORGIA DOME ATLANTA, GA Some mixed breed slut sings "America the Beautiful" The Rock comes out to open the show and spends about 10 minutes saying nothing of value, talking about history and making the crowd chant things. Match #1: Edge [c] w/ Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio w/ Brodus Clay [World Heavyweight Championship] I don't really think the Rumble winner should open Mania, but I also don't think ADR should have won the Rumble. At the same time, there wasn't really anyone else, so whatever. ADR works the arm and has better armwork than usual here. Edge sort of sold, and because it's his last match ever, you kind of give him points for doing his best. They had some great nearfalls at the end, and Christian cuts off Brodus, so Edge can Spear ADR for the win. *** Post-match, Edge and Christian destroy ADR's car on the stage, and Edge poses on the car with the belt. Commercial for Tough Enough. Match #2: Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes Rey is now Captain Mexico. But in red, white, and blue? Weird. Awesome match regardless, which is not shocking at all. Rey takes a lot of nasty bumps, and looks the best he has since the feud with CM Punk ended. Tons of really smooth high flying. Cody has a great control seg too. He takes off Rey's knee brace and throws it out, but Rey then takes off Cody's mask. He uses it on him, but then Cody intercepts a Tope Suicida with the knee brace! He hits the Cross Rhodes back inside to win. *** In the back, Snoop and T'Lo hang out. Some wrestlers audition for him, and the highlight is Zack Ryder's rendition of FRIDAY FRIDAY GETTING DOWN ON FRIDAY. Match #3: Kane/The Big Show/Kofi Kingston/Santino Marella vs. Wade Barrett/Ezekiel Jackson/Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel This is 90 seconds. It's a lot of fun for 90 seconds, but yeah, whatever. Slater has an awesome sell for Show's KO Punch, and that gives the faces the win. * In the back, The Rock hits on Eve and says he'll make a moment with whoever comes out from the door behind them, and it's Mae Young. Mae wants the strudel and Rock has Eve take Mae away, and Mae grabs his ass. Rock says it could have been anyone coming around that corner, AND IT'S FUCKING STONE COLD! FUCK YEAH! AMAZING STAREDOWN! They keep their words short and say it's good seeing each other. They shake hands and Austin walks off. Fuck, that was awesome. Love that they still just don't like each other. BIG TIME! Match #4: CM Punk vs. Randy Orton Really great match. Orton sold the knee really well and hit all his stuff fine, but he was clearly just a guy in a CM Punk match. Lawler refuses to acknowledge that Orton has a bad knee and says Punk will get destroyed. Incredible work on the knee by Punk, and a lot of smart counters to go for the knee too. He catches Punk out of the springboard with the RKO for the win. ***1/4 In the back, The Rock talks to Gene and Pee Wee is th -- fuck this. The Hall of Famers come onto the stage. BOOKER T COMES OUT TO COMMENTATE! YEAH! AS DOES J.R.! AWESOME TOO! Match #5: Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole w/ Jack Swagger [Special Referee: Steve Austin] This goes almost 14 minutes. This is the 2nd longest match so far, after Punk/Orton. Yes, this is longer than Edge/ADR and Cody/Rey. Fuck this company. This really should have been Cole getting embarrassed, maybe a little lucky, and then killed. But he got a LONG control seg on the ankle. Lawler makes Cole tap to the Ankle Lock, but Austin waits like 20 seconds before ringing it. * Match isn't worthless by itself. Post-match ruins it. They drink, and Booker gets some too. Spinarooni happens. Booker gets the Stunner. Anon GM rings in and says Austin overstepped his authority, so Lawler has been DQ'd, and Cole wins. How the...what the fuck? Who okay'd this? This is the worst booking decision in ever. Josh gets a Stunner for delivering the news. On the upside, Mania now has the JR/King team it deserves. Hype video for H/Taker. Match #6: The Undertaker vs. Triple H [No Holds Barred] I don't think this is the surefire MOTY (or didn't at the time, it's fairly obvious now that MITB topped it) that others did, let alone one of the best Mania matches ever or WWE matches ever, but it was a pretty great Clash of the Titans match. A little overlong, but it's a Triple H Epic, so I should be happy they topped it out at 30. Them going right at it without any bullshit pretense like in the Taker/Shawn or H/Shawn or other Shawn epics was nice. Taker is amazing at reigning in guys like Shawn and Triple H and Angle, all these guys with great aspects and flaws, and it shows. Immediately, he gets H's corner bump out of the way, but throws him over the top with it, so it actually looks logical. Taker takes tons of insane bumps. The pacing was a little weird, with them almost immediately selling exhaustion, but since they're two old mostly retired guys and because Taker's selling was particularly great, I can kind of look past it. Same thing with a rough patch in the middle. I figure the difference between "very good" and "all-time great" is if I still react to kickouts and big moments on rewatch. I did that in Taker/Shawn I for the most part, and Taker/Flair, but I didn't here. One of those "in the moment" matches the DX chaps love so much. H kills Taker with chair shots, and Taker has really incredible selling. Taker catches his arm in to the Hell's Gate when he tries to use the hammer for the win. Like so many WWE Epics, trim off 10 minutes or so, and it can be an all-time classic. Still probably in the top 5 Taker Mania matches, although not on the level of Taker/Flair, Taker/Shawn I, or Taker/Batista. Probably just as good as Taker/Shawn II. ***1/4 Triple H is able to walk out eventually, but Taker is stretchered out. ![]() DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME. Match #7: John Morrison/Trish Stratus/Snooki vs. Dolph Ziggler/LayCool w/ Vickie Guerrero This is fine for what it was. A 4 minute popcorn celebrity deal after the big epic, with a few nice highspots. Morrison has a great dive onto Dolph on the floor, and Snooki doesn't embarrass herself. She hits a shitty looking Splash on Michelle to win. ** An incredible hype video for The Miz, set to "Hate Me Now". So great that it got me into The Miz again after I had lessened as a fan of his over 2011 to this point. One of the better WWE video packages in recent years, if not ever. Cena gets his own awesome hype video to "Prayer" by DMX. Good enough, but doesn't touch Miz's video. Match #8: The Miz [c] w/ Alex Riley vs. John Cena [WWE Championship] This isn't a bad match. It's not their best, and won't be their worst. But it doesn't feel like a WrestleMania main event at all, and they aren't exactly proving the crowd wrong by working their normal match. Cena has some great sells at points and Miz's strikes look good. They start to lose their timing at a point and it gradually deteriorates from there. They both get taken out on the floor and counted out. Rock comes out to restart it as a No DQ No Count-Out match. They get in, and Rock hits Cena with the Rock Bottom and Miz covers to win. So basically, they sacrificed the main event of this WrestleMania by having them work essentially half a match before the booking, to build for next year. ** Rock hits Miz with the Rock Bottom and People's Elbow too, and poses to end the show. |

He refuses to take off his fucking sunglasses until he thanks The Undertaker. He says The Undertaker may be just a man now, but he will be back, and he'll be waiting. JR AND LAWLER CALL THE SHOW! YEAH! ' prior to the contest, Cole, wearing his headgear and singlet, walked out and cut a promo from the entrance stage in which he bragged about his victory over Lawler at WrestleMania; Lawler took the mic to respond, noting he made Cole cry like a little girl and he was a jackass; Cole responded by challenging Lawler to a rematch, with Lawler accepting only for Cole to say the rematch wouldn't be against him but against Swagger, who Lawler faced the previous week on Raw Match #1: Jerry Lawler vs. Jack Swagger w/ Michael Cole. Good performance by Lawler for three minutes. Swagger wins with the Ankle Lock. ** Swagger refuses to let go, so the ref reverses the decision. Cole then squirts BBQ sauce on JR, who chases him to the back. Now fucking Cole is out on commentary, along with Cole and Booker. Match #2: Randy Orton/Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk/Cody Rhodes Randy debuts his hilarious Flying Dick style Thesz Press here. This is great. Punk vs. Rey continues to be incredible. Cody and Punk had great control segments on both men. Some really inventive cut-off spots to Rey. Orton makes his unfortunate hot tag and beats Cody with the RKO. LOL CODY'S MOMENTUM. *** In the back, Austin walks, but bumps into his old tag partner in the greatest short lived heel unit ever, Triple H! He says it was a hell of a match and shakes his hand. SIN CARS. SOON. Steve Austin comes out, and he brings out all the Tough Enough guys. The crowd chants "STUN THEM ALL". If only. Fuck you, Luke. The Miz and A-Ri come out. Miz says he is the greatest star Tough Enough has ever produced, and says he had a concussion before WrestleMania, and still won. He shits on all the contestants and Austin gets in his face. The crowd chants for one more match, and Miz asks if he's got it in him. Austin gets the kids out of the ring and Miz cheap shots him. He leaves as Riley attacks Austin, but Austin easily gets him with the Stunner and drinks alcohol. Match #3: Alberto Del Rio vs. Evan Bourne Bourne once again gets a great 3 minute match out of a flavor of the month heel. Huge bumps, some cool spots. ADR wins with the Cross Armbreaker. ** Recap of Mania weekend. Before their match, Dolph and Vickie blame LayCool for last night. Match #4: Dolph Ziggler/Vickie Guerrero vs. John Morrison/Trish Stratus Decent 3 minutes. Morrison hits Ziggler with the Starship Pain to win. ![]() *3/4 Match #5: Sheamus [c] vs. Daniel Bryan [WWE U.S. Championship] Only 4 minutes, but it's these two, so it is really good. Sheamus wins with the Brogue Kick. ** Sheamus keeps on the attack, but Sin Cara makes his way out. He dives Sheamus out and hits a pretty dive. John Cena comes out and he congratulates Miz on still being WWE Champion, but says he has other business here, and he calls out The Rock, who clearly doesn't respect him. He comes out and yeah. He says he talks trash about EVERYBODY and it's what the people love. Rock says he respects Cena, but he just doesn't like him. Rock says they are complete opposites, but they're very similar. Cena says to listen to the people for once and says the people want a match, nay, they want THE MATCH. Cena challenges him to a match at WrestleMania 28, and Rock accepts! FUCK YEAH! The Corre attacks them for no real reason, but they fend them off. They then shake hands to end the show. |

Byron wins after Titus fails to MAKE IT A WIN. Match #1: Conor O'Brien vs. Jacob Novak They had some decent spots, but it was still very boring in between the spots. Conor wins with a roll up. *3/4 In the back, Lucky apologizes to Yoshi for hitting on Maryse and says she's all his. Yoshi goes up and asks Maryse out. Ted comes over, since he's on NXT now, I guess, and he attacks Yoshi. He tells Maryse he's going to teach Yoshi a lesson tonight and asks Maryse if she thinks Yoshi can pay for her dresses and manicures and 800 pairs of shoes that she doesn't wear. He walks off, and she follows him, stepping over Yoshi. ![]() In the back, JTG and Kozlov talk, but it is totally unintelligible. Match #2: Hornswoggle/Titus O'Neil vs. Chavo Guerrero/Darren Young CHAVO VS. HORNSWOGGLE CONTINUES! They did stuff and Titus wins with the Clash of the Titus on Young to win. *1/2 The Rock/Cena segment is re-aired. Match #3: Yoshi Tatsu vs. Ted DiBiase w/ Maryse This is 3 minutes. Because they had to make sure the entire Rock/Cena seg got replayed, on a WWE.com only show. Motherfucker. Ted gets DQ'd for refusing to stop beating Yoshi in the corner. *3/4 Ted gets on the mic and tells Maryse to choose between NXT and him. |

WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Edge, Since 2/18/2011 WWE U.S. Champion: Sheamus, Since 3/14/2011 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Wade Barrett, Since 3/25/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel, Since 2/21/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Eve, Since 1/30/2011 WWE Smackdown April 8th, 2011 Charlotte, NC featured an opening in-ring promo by Alberto Del Rio, alongside Ricardo Rodriguez and Brodus Clay, in which he said World Heavyweight Champion Edge and Christian delayed his destiny of winning the title and destroyed his car, which he saw as one of his children; as Del Rio went to say he would do to Edge what Edge did to his car, Edge was driven out on the back of a Brisco Brothers wrecker, with Del Rio's car to the back of it; Edge then cut a promo on the car before spraypainting it; after the two had words, Del Rio challenged Edge to a rematch with Edge saying there were other worthy wrestlers; moments later, Christian was revealed as the driver of the wrecker; as Edge and Christian went to confront Del Rio and Clay in the ring, Teddy Long appeared at the entrance stage and ordered Christian to face Del Rio later in the show, with the winner challenging Edge in a ladder match at Extreme Rules Match #1: The Big Show/Kane/Kofi Kingston/Santino Marella vs. Wade Barrett/Ezekiel Jackson/Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel [Best of Three Falls] I am all in favor of 2/3 falls multi-man matches. I am all in favor of multi-man matches. I am generally in favor of most staples of lucha libre being put to use in WWE. The thing about them is that multi-mans are great for getting limited workers over by only having them in the match for short periods. CHIKARA used multi-mans to fool people into thinking Shane Storm was actually a good wrestler for a few years. ROH used them to make people think all the Gen Next guys were much better than they actually were in 2004. But the thing is, you need a master in there to direct traffic and guide everyone. There's nobody here that can do that. OH ALSO, THIS GOES LIKE 20 MINUTES?! THE FUCKING POINT OF THESE ARE TO MAKE THEM SHORT AND SWEET SO NOBODY IS EXPOSED. FUCK. HOW DO YOU GET THIS WRONG? On the upside, the full great "End of Days" cut is here. Kofi beats Justin with a Crossbody to go 1-0, Wade gets Santino with Wasteland to even it up. The Corre then get DQ'd for excessive double teaming. *3/4 The faces fight them off and everyone beats up Zeke again. ![]() SIN. CARA. Match #2: Cody Rhodes vs. Trent Baretta Solid 90 second squash. Cross Rhodes ends it. *1/2 Cody attacks him with the mask, and Rey runs out to save. The Cena/Rock segment is again replayed. Match #3: LayCool vs. Beth Phoenix/Kelly Kelly This is basically nothing for under 2 minutes. McCool hops off the apron, holding her back, and K2 rolls up Layla to win. 1/2* McCool blames Layla post-match. featured an in-ring promo by Cole in which he bragged about spraying Jim Ross with BBQ sauce on Raw before introducing Jack Swagger, who said it was easy to train Cole to beat Jerry Lawler at WrestleMania; the two then celebrated with a victory lap, with Sin Cara then walking out, flipping into the ring, clearing him from the ring, and hitting a corkscrew plancha to the floor Match #4: Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio [#1 Contender's Match] Edge and Brodus are both there. Edge joins commentary, and he and Booker talk about Japanese shampoo commercials. AMAZING. Once again, this is good but not great. ADR refuses to stay on the arm. Edge gets rid of Brodus with a Spear on the floor, but it distracts Christian on the top. ADR hits his sweet Corner Enzuiguri to knock him down to the mat for the win. **3/4 |

He wants a title rematch. Randall Orton comes out and says he should step aside. Lots of people want a shot, so Anon GM makes a gauntlet match with Cena, Orton, Morrison, Ziggler, and Truth, and the winner gets a shot at Extreme Rules. TONIGHT: Lawler vs. Swagger. Cole yells that if Swagger wins, they're done, but if Lawler wins, he gets to make another match between them. Hate. Match #1: Eve [c] vs. Brie Bella w/ Nikki Bella [WWE Divas Championship] Whole lot of nothing. Brie wins the belt with the X Factor. 1/4* Match #2: Sin Cara vs. Primo This was good stuff, mostly. He botches the unnecessary entrance for the first time. The issue is that there's only like 4-5 guys he can work with becuase they let him go right to the roster instead of reprogramming him in FCW like everyone else. Primo does a decent job bumping around for him though. There's at least 2-3 spots that probably should have ended this before the end actually came. Sin Cara wins with a Spanish Fly. ** The Corre is in the ring and cuts a boring promo. Wade blames them and they all argue, but Santino, MOK, Bourne, and Daniel Bryan come out. Santino says they may be The Corre, but they are APPLE. Allied People Power Loathing Everything (that you stand for). Match #3: The Corre vs. A.P.P.L.E. APPLE carries the load with Danielson, Bourne, and MOK kicking ass. Danielson is a fine face in peril. Santino unfortunately gets the hot tag, so Bourne and MOK each have like one spot before it breaks down. Slater beats Santino with his horrible Reverse DDT. SLATERS GON SLATE *3/4 Match #4: Jerry Lawler vs. Jack Swagger JR comes out to be in Lawler's corner to counter Cole. This is decent. JR pointing out how Swagger doesn't get storytelling by yelling "HIS FINISH IS AN ANKLE LOCK AND HE'S WORKING THE ARM, COLE. THAT'S HOW STUPID YOUR GUY IS." was fantastic. Lawler wins with a roll up. **1/4 after the contest, Cole yelled at Swagger in the ring, blaming him for the loss and calling him an idiot and repeatedly poking him in the chest before slapping him across the face; Cole then left the ring, with Lawler then taking the mic and saying at Extreme Rules it would be Lawler & Ross against Cole & Swagge A recap airs of Taker/H, with everyone fellating it. Edge comes out and announces his retirement due to the neck injury. He talks about everything he's done. You kinda forget, or at least I do, that because of how he'd gotten over the last few years how great he was, for the most part, from 2000-2006, and especially as an all-around act in 2005-6. He's still great as a personality and a character, but he's been on the decline since early 2007. One of those guys, like Shawn Michaels, who had an all-time great career, as opposed to being an all-time great wrestler. They were also pretty similar in that they eventually fell into a formula of blatantly killing time until a finishing run and were at their best in gimmick matches. In the back, Edge shakes many hands on his way out as he gets a standing o. He bows to Yoshi, and hugs all the divas, and even shakes Cena's hand. Miz and A-Ri come out to do commentary. Match #5: Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. R-Truth vs. John Morrison vs. John Cena [#1 Contender's Gauntlet Match] Randall and Ziggler start. They do things until Otunga and Joe Hennig come out to distract him and Ziggler gets a roll up! YEAH! Truth is in next and Ziggler has to bump for him for a bit and he loses to the Paydirt. Morrison is next. They have a fun little match. Morrison misses Starship Pain, and Truth covers to win. Cena is last. Cena vs. Truth is not really good at all, so thank god they didn't want them to work a long PPV main event a few months from here! Miz and A-Ri attack both men for a double DQ. **1/4 Anon GM makes it a triple threat for Extreme Rules. |

WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Vacant WWE U.S. Champion: Sheamus, Since 3/14/2011 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Wade Barrett, Since 3/25/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel, Since 2/21/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Brie Bella, Since 4/11/2011 WWE Smockdawn April 15th, 2011 Albany, NY Alberto Del Rio comes out to open the show, and he says of course, he is sad that Edge is retiring, especially before their Ladder Match, but says the only honorable thing to do is to come to the ring and hand him the World Heavyweight Championship. T'Lo comes out instead and books a 20 man battle royal later on to see who faces ADR at the PPV for the vacant title in a Ladder Match! ADR says this is a conspiracy and he's glad he forced Edge to retire, but T'Lo tells him to shut up. Match #1: Ezekiel Jackson w/ The Corre vs. Kofi Kingston Good short showcase for Zeke. Zeke throws Kofi into The Corre at ringside, and then hits the Uranage in the ring to win. *3/4 In the back, LayCool are in couple's therapy, and they argue and Michelle is a huge cunt and leaves. Cody Rhodes is in the ring and cuts a promo with the darkness and his hood obscuring his face. He says after beating Rey, he expected to feel vindicated, but he feels nothing. He says it's not enough, and he hopes winning the battle royal and then the World Heavyweight Championship will be enough. He says he knows Rey tells his kids there is no monster in the closet or under their bed, but he's going to make Rey that monster, like Rey did to him. Rey runs out to attack him and drives him from the ring. Match #2: Rey Mysterio vs. Drew McIntyte This got like 10 minutes, and thus was very good. Drew kills Rey with the Smoe Joe Powerbomb Swing. Rey refuses to sell Drew's awesome back work, so it's not quite great. Lots of cool spots in the finishing run and both men take a few nasty bumps. Rey hits the 619 and Penguin Splash to win. **3/4 In the back, Edge shakes hands with Dean Malenko, Chavo, and Kane. Edge comes out for his official retirement and surrender of the belt. He talks about inventing TLC, the Super Spear, the flaming tables and thumbtacks with Foley, Elimination Chambers, HIAC vs. Taker, and all that crazy stuff. Edge goes to the back and makes one final entrance. ON THIS DAY! I SEE CLEARLY! FUCK YEAH! Edge talks about winning his first WWE Title here and thanks everyone and leaves the belt in the ring. In the back, ADR offers a handshake to Edge and winks, but Edge leaves. Match #3: Kelly Kelly vs. Layla w/ Michelle McCool Short, useless. K2 wins. 1/4* Michelle shoves Layla down and leaves. ![]() H/Taker blowjob video. Match #4: #1 Contender's Battle Royal Basically everyone on SD is in this. Winner is pretty obvious, but there's some solid performances. Rey, Christian, Masters, and Yoshi all get nice long runs. Christian eliminates Swagger last to win. **1/4 Edge comes out to congratulate Christian. Christian gets on the mic, AND IT'S TIME FOR THE FINAL FIVE SECOND POSE! FOR THE BENEFIT OF THOSE WITH FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY! FUCK. YES. Everyone gives Edge a standing ovation in the ring to end the hsow. |

John Morrison comes out to congratulate him. Morrison says he did get some lucky breaks there, like some rest periods and Miz interfering. He shows clips of Truth drinking water during breaks and says his stamina isn't the best, and asks Truth if he's still a smoker and says he's in great shape for a smoker. Truth says he knows what he's trying to do and he's trying to take his spot. Morrison says he's right and he accepts, and also says the draft is next week. Truth is confused, but accepts. Morrison was a pretty huge dick here, I'm glad he's finally turning heel! Match #1: John Morrison vs. R-Truth [#1 Contender's Match] Solid 5 minutes. They seem to work well together. Morrison blocks the Paydirt by grabbing the ropes, and he then hits Starship Pain to win. **1/4 Morrison celebrates, BUT TRUTH KNOCKS HIM OFF THE TOP! YEAH! TRUTH BEATS THE FUCK OUT OF MORRISON! He yells at Morrison that he did this, and then hits him with the WATER BOTTLE OF DEATH. Truth then hits the Token Black Finisher #1 on the floor. Truth gets a cigarette and smokes as he stands over Morrison. Fantastic. Vickie comes out to introduce the "new and improved" Dolph Ziggler. This is Dolph with a shitty generic WWE short haircut. Awful. Match #2: Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. Evan Bourne Ziggler's ringwork is still fine, but you now realize how much the ridiculous hair added. It at least made him stand out, so you paid attention to his awesome matches. Solid 2 minutes, I guess. Bourne takes huge bumps again. Peace Zig ends it. *3/4 Recap of Edge's retirement. Miz and A-Ri come out, and Miz is mad that the Extreme Rules match is now a Steel Cage Match. Well, okay. They have a sit-in protest. Anon GM rings in to book them vs. Cena/Sin Cara next. Match #3: John Cena/Sin Cara vs. The Miz/Alex Riley This is fine enough. I like the general idea of Cena and a young babyface vs. Miz/A-Ri, but Sin Cara facing two generic WWE style guys in his 2nd TV match is a bad idea. Cena has a solid hot tag. Cena hits the FU on A-Ri, but he is too close to the ropes win Sin Cara hits his Lionsault to pin him, so it is basically a Lionsault Fistdrop. **1/4 KHARMA. Match #4: Eve vs. Nikki Bella Whatever. 1/4* included an in-ring segment in which Cole introduced Jack Swagger, noting he and Swagger would beat Jerry Lawler & Jim Ross at Extreme Rules, with Swagger then coming out and putting a royal cape on Cole; Swagger then read a proclamation noting Cole would be knighted en route to his eventually going into the WWE Hall of Fame; moments later, Swagger introduced Queen Elizabeth, with a lookalike then coming out escorted by two men, knighting Cole, and Cole then kissing her on the lips; Cole then lead the crowd in a chant of "Sir Michael Cole," with the crowd following by adding "sucks;" Cole then demanded Lawler & Ross kiss his feet, with the two entering the ring before Lawler was attacked by Swagger and knocked to the floor; Swagger then put Ross in the ankle lock while Cole forced Ross to kiss his foot, which had a disgusting growth on it Match #5: Sheamus vs. Santino Marella Solid Sheamus squash. *1/2 Match #6: CM Punk vs. Randy Orton This is great obviously, it's Punk in a long singles match against an above average wrestler. It's sort of a house show match, but there's enough fun stuff to put it over the top. Great Punk control seg. This series gets a bad rep for being one-sided, and as a feud, it absolutely is. Orton dominates Punk in most of the angles, but the matches are crafted to make Punk look like an equal, and they deserve credit for that. He has it won, but wants to punt Orton instead, and it allows Orton to dodge and he gets a schoolboy to win. *** New Nexus comes out to attack Orton post-match, and they beat him up. Punk shoves them away and says he's his. He tries the punt, but Orton gets up and hits the RKO and leaves. Goddamnit. |

WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Vacant WWE U.S. Champion: Sheamus, Since 3/14/2011 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Wade Barrett, Since 3/25/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel, Since 2/21/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Brie Bella, Since 4/11/2011 WWE Smackdown April 22nd, 2011 London, England The WHT belt is hanging symbolically above the ring. TONIGHT: ADR's retirement party for Edge Before his match, Cody begins the gimmick of putting paper bags over the heads of fans. Match #1: Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes This really isn't a necessary match as it does more for Cody to have the series end at 1-1 instead of Rey winning the next two matches against Cody to prove that he's not on his level, but it was awesome regardless. Cody does stuff, but Rey gets a flash Rana for the pin. **3/4 Cody beats him up post-match, and they have a nice crowd brawl. In the back, The Corre talks. Zeke says as the leader, he'll be there for them. They are mad and he says he's just playing. DOMINATION. Time for more Therapy With LayCool! Michelle mocks Layla for losing and says she wants her shoes back. Michelle says she's jealous and Layla says she was Divas champ as much as her and she wants some respect. Michelle says she doesn't know if Layla is even flawless anymore. OH, YOU FUCKING BITCH. She says she's sorry, and they hug. BUT THEN MICHELLE ATTACKS LAYLA. NOOOOO. Match #2: Jack Swagger vs. Trent Baretta Trent looks good, but is squashed. Ankle Lock does it. *1/4 KHARMA. Match #3: Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel [c] vs. Kane/The Big Show [WWE Unified Tag Team Championship] This is 4 minutes of not a whole lot. Zeke comes out to interfere, but they knock him off the apron. Show Chokeslams Slater to win the belts. *1/2 The Corre argues post-match. Match #4: Chris Masters vs. Drew McIntyre They get 4 minutes, so it's great. Masters throws some amazingly nasty chops, Drew takes huge bumps, etc. Masters has a great comeback. Drew hits the Future Shock to win. I would like a ton of rematches, please. **1/4 NITRO REBOUND! Cody vs. Rey in a Falls Count Anywhere match is booked for the PPV. Match #5: Wade Barrett [c] w/ Ezekiel Jackson vs. Kofi Kingston [WWE Intercontinental Championship] This sucks again, as they have no chemistry. Kofi's dives now suck too, as he is trying super hard not to get injured doing anything. Which almost always makes someone's stuff look like shit. Zeke accidentally hits MWAY, but Kofi still can't do shit. Wade wins with a roll up using the ropes. *3/4 Ricardo and Brodus introduce ADR for the retirement party. There is a bed in the ring, along with a grandfather clock, and Alberto brings out an old friend of Edge's, LITA! YEAH! Oh, nope, it's an fat woman in a red wig. ADR makes some horrible old people jokes and gets a bedpan and a walker. Edge tells Ricardo to go get Edge. He goes to the back, AND KERWIN WHITE'S MUSIC COMES OUT! YEAH! RICARDO RIDES A SCOOTER TO THE RING AND DOES THE EGDE PYRO! AMAZING! Edge and Christian come out to attack them, and they run them off. Christian gets a ladder and climbs up to get the belt. |

WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Vacant WWE U.S. Champion: Sheamus, Since 3/14/2011 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Wade Barrett, Since 3/25/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Kane/The Big Show, Since 4/22/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Brie Bella, Since 4/11/2011 WWE Raw April 25th, 2011 Raleigh, NC DRAFT SPECIAL TONIGHT YEAH. With only 2 hours, I expect this not to suck like most 3 hour shows do. Match #1: Battle Royal This is not much. Things happen. Fucking Kofi and Shoe survive to win for SD. *1/2 JOHN CENA IS DRAFTED TO SMACKDOWN! BAH GAWD! In the back, John Cena cuts a John Cena Promo about how legendary this is. TONIGHT: COLE VS. JR! NOPE. NOT WATCHING THAT. Recap of Truth/Morrison with the overly dramatic Lion King music. R-Truth comes out with the mic and tells people to shut up. DON'T BOO ME, YA SHOULD BE BOOIN YASELF. He says they ain't got no home training, and says it's all about people who are listening now. He says to stop with that "WHAT", and yells that they're all pissing him the hell off. He blames the fans for Morrison challenging him and says he accepted because they wanted him to. He says trying to please them ain't got him diddly squat and he says a lot of the people who dance along with him need to get some rhythm. OH, LOOK AT LITTLE JIMMY SINGING WITH THE TRUTH. SING IT, LITTLE JIMMY. He asks his new invisible friend if he's making him smile, and asks if him smiling is putting titles around his waist, so Jimmy can shut up. SARONARA. ARRIBA DERCHEE. SEE YA LATER, BYE. PEACE. OUT. DEUCES. (DOMINOS). DON'T BOO ME, YOU SHOULD BE BOOING YOURSELVES. THE TRUTH HAS SET ME FREE. YES. FUCK YEAH. Morrison attacks Truth and is pulled off by referees. NEXT WEEK: ROCK'S BIRTHDAY PARTY KHARMA MOTHERFUCKER. Match #2: Eve vs. Layla Eve wins in 30 seconds after a McCool distraction. 45/poop RAW DRAFTS REY MYSTERIO! AWESOME! Match #3: Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus This is all of 2 minutes, probably for the best. Kofi wins with his fucking kick. *1/2 SMACKDOWN DRAFTS RANDY ORTON! AWESOME! HOLY SHIT, RAW LOSES ORTON *AND* GETS MYSTERIO?! This is almost as much of a Draft Rape on Smackdown as Raw got in 2005 or in 2009. Nothing touches how badly Smackdown got raped in 2008 though. They lost two of their workhorses in Matt Hardy and Finlay, lost Rey Mysterio, and gained Shelton Benjamin, Mr. Kennedy, and Triple H. Not watching this Cole stuff. Jim Ross (w/ Jerry Lawler) defeated Michael Cole (w/ Jack Swagger) via disqualification at 4:34 when Swagger ran Lawler into the barricade and then attacked Ross in the ring; mid-way through the match, Cole went to the floor and put on Ross's hat to mock him; moments later, Swagger entered the ring and gave Cole a water bottle to drink from; Booker T joined Josh Matthews and Lawler on commentary, subbing for Cole; prior to the bout, Lawler left the broadcast table to be in Ross's corner; after the contest, Swagger applied the ankle lock on Ross before Cole repeatedly yelled at Ross for busting his lip; Swagger then reapplied the hold as Cole whipped Ross with his own belt; Lawler then ran back into the ring, knocked Swagger to the floor, and whipped Cole across the back before Cole fell to the floor and, with Swagger, limped up the aisle; the Raw GM then sent an e-mail, which Matthews read, that Ross & Lawler vs. Cole & Swagger at Extreme Rules would now be a country whipping match In the back, Stanford interviews Miz and A-Ri. Miz is mad about how nobody cares about him. Match #5: Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler This is randomly for two draft picks. Booker is on commentary and says he hates the draft, which is awesome continuity. This is about 3 minutes and mostly Orton offense. RKO gets the win. ![]() *3/4 SMACKDOWN DRAFTS MARK HENRY AND SIN CARA! Match #6: Rey Mysterio vs. Wade Barrett This is a decent enough 2 minutes. Rey wins with the 619 and Penguin Splash. Booker mentions his FAV FIVE for the first time and says Wade is in it. *3/4 RAW DRAFTS THE BIG SHOW AND ALBERTO DEL RIO! SMACKDOWN IS WINNING SO HARD. JESUS CHRIST. Punk/Orton in a Last Man Standing match is added to the PPV. Match #7: John Cena/Christian/Mark Henry vs. CM Punk/Alberto Del Rio/The Miz w/ Alex Riley This is also for two draft picks. This is the one match to actually get time at 8 or so minutes, and if I had to pick one, this would probably be it. Not quite great, but very good. Solid job of building up the two title matches for the PPV. Cena gets the tag, BUT MOK KILLS HIM WITH A CLOTHESLINE! YES! WORLD'S STRONGEST SLAM TO CHRISTIAN, AND MARK HENRY LEAVES! YES! Miz hits Cena with the Finale to win. **3/4 RAW DRAFTS JOHN CENA. Well, okay. So why even...goddamnit. |

Tyson Kidd vs. Trent Baretta, Superstars (April 28th) Good cruiserweight style match, and much better than I had expected. Lots of crisp and fast shit. Kidd has some great kicks and throws when he controls the match. Trent takes some nutty bumps. He displays some solid selling. They have some cool spots, but they still seem kind of held back. Trent strikes me as a second rate Paul London. Kidd wins with the Sharpshooter. **3/4 |

WWE Champion: The Miz, Since 11/22/2010 - LONGEST REIGNING CHAMPION CURRENTLY World Heavyweight Champion: Vacant WWE U.S. Champion: Sheamus, Since 3/14/2011 WWE Intercontinental Champion: Wade Barrett, Since 3/25/2011 WWE Tag Team Champions: Kane/The Big Show, Since 4/22/2011 WWE Diva's Champion: Brie Bella, Since 4/11/2011 WWE Smackdown April 29th, 2011 Greensburo, NC featured an opening in-ring promo by Randy Orton, wearing a Smackdown T-shirt, in which he introduced himself to the Smackdown fans before saying he had unfinished business to attend to at Extreme Rules with his last man standing match against CM Punk; moments later, Drew McIntyre, wearing a Raw shirt, interrupted and said the fans would have to wait a little while longer before they would get to see McIntyre vs. Orton; McIntyre then said he was just out to say hello, and goodbye, before attempting the Future Shock on Orton only to sustain the RKO instead; Orton went to complete his thought before Alex Riley, wearing a Smackdown shirt, walked out and joined Orton in the ring; before Riley could speak, Orton dropped him too with an RKO, leading to a "Randy" chant; Alberto Del Rio, Ricardo Rodriguez, & Brodus Clay then walked out, with Del Rio saying he would bring the World Heavyweight Title to Raw before having he and his men surround Orton in the ring; Christian then ran out to even the odds, with Teddy Long appearing at the entrance stage and setting up a match for later in the show between Christian & Orton and Del Rio & Clay Kofi Kingston comes out for a match, but Sheamus attacks him from behind and lays him out. SMOCKDAWN BAELANGS TA MAE! Match #1: Sin Cara vs. Jack Swagger w/ Michael Cole The bullshit lighting debuts. I do not understand. This is still a solid 3 minutes. Sin Cara wins with a victory roll. *3/4 KHARMA. Match #2: Kane/The Big Show [c] vs. Heath Slater/Justin Gabriel [WWE Tag Team Championship] This was their least shitty match yet! Not good or anything, but not as bad as before. Show beats Gabriel with the Chokeslam. *3/4 In the back, that fuck Jinder Mahal debuts and speaks in Indian to Khali and Runjin. Match #3: Rey Mysterio vs. Mark Henry CLASSIC REY VS. MOK! Such a great match up when MOK is a heel. Rey keeps going for the knee and MOK gradually sells it more and more. MOK was a fine face, but he is incredible as this kind of a brick wall monster heel. The knee work eventually begins to pay off, and Rey hits the 619, MOK stays up, but Cody comes out and attacks Rey on the floor for the DQ. *** Cody throws Rey back in and MOK hits the World's Strongest Slam. He leaves, and Cody then puts a paper bag on Rey's head. Match #4: Michelle McCool vs. Layla Really fun brawl for the 45 seconds it lasted before a double count out happened. 1/2* Referees come out to hold them apart. Layla challenges Michelle to a rematch at Extreme Rules, and Michelle wants it to be Loser Leaves WWE, and Layla accepts. Match #5: Randy Orton/Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio/Brodus Clay Once again, good but not quite great. The story of this feud. Orton is decent as a face in peril in the first half, and then Christian does a much better job. Orton has a great hot tag and beats Brodus with the RKO. THE VIPDER STRIKES. **3/4 |
