WWF Smackdown
June 15th, 2000
Chicago, IL

Match #1: Edge vs. Grandmaster Sexay [KOTR Qualifying Match][/b]
Both tag partners are there. They have a really good 5 minute match with a lot of cool offense that builds up in impact and scope of the moves. S2H and Christian brawl on the floor, and Sexay hits the Hip Hop Drop. The ref is distracted, and Shane McMahon runs down and hits Sexay with a chair and Edge covers to advance.
**1/2

In the back, the Regime says phase one is complete.

The McMahon-Helmsley FacGime comes down to the ring. Shane books Edge & Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz, and then Vince recaps Raw even though the show opened with a 5 minute video recap. He's picking up Triple H's bad habits. Triple H makes the KOTR six man have a new rule that if Rock, Taker, or Kane win, they're #1 Contender, but if his team wins, the winner of the KOTR tournament is the #1 Contender, as he tries to save his title after Vince more or less handed it away on Raw by refusing to look like an asshole in front of his cunt wife. Vince then says Taker, Rock, Kane, and Jericho all have surprises waiting for them tonight.

In NYC outside WWF NEW YORK~, Crash Holly arrives, looking for a specific someone who can help him. A taxi pulls up, and Brisco, Patterson, and referee Chioda get there, and Patterson says that if Brisco wants his title back, Crash is supposed to be here.

Match #2: The Hardy Boyz vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus
No idea why they get less and less time each match, but yeah, this was great. Again. Only 3 minutes now. Test was surprisingly awesome early on, but then over half the match was him eating Hardyz offense, and his bumping has always been better than his offense, at least in 2000-2 when he was decent. Test pulled Jeff off the apron to block the Swanton Bomb, and Matt got hit with an awesome splash in the corner by Albert, and Test hit a Big Boot to pin Matt.
**1/2

They beat on them, and Trish slaps Jeff. Lita then runs down and tackles Trish! T & A pull her off, but The Hardyz come back and drive them out. Lita hits Trish with a Matt Hardy style Flying Legdrop, and T & A pulls her out. Lita celebrates with the Hardy Boyz. SHIT YEAH TEAM XTREME!

In the parking lot, The Undertaker arrives on his bike. Vince McMahon, Bull Buchanan, and a bunch of cops show up. Vince says when he stole a man's car on Raw, he filed a complaint and the cops are here to arrest Taker. They cuff him, and Vince says he's not such a badass now. Taker says Bull stole his bike to the cops, and Bull gets in his face. Taker spits tobacco juice on Bull, so he decks Taker while he's cuffed. STOP PUSHING BULL BUCHANAN WHAT THE FUCK. WHY IS HE THE BIG MAN YOU USE FOR THIS?! TEST AND ALBERT ARE RIGHT THERE. They drag Taker off, and Vince laughs and says he loves being him. <3 Vince.

Back from break, Shane sees Vince into his limo. Shane says he has a surprise of his own later, and Vince wishes him luck and leaves the building.

Match #3: D'Lo Brown vs. Scotty 2 Hotty [KOTR Qualifying Match]
Fun 3 minute D'Lo carryjob. He throws his awesome punches and makes Scotty look great and guides him in a singles match like Scotty needs. Scotty moves out of the way of the Lo Down, and then hits an awful looking Jumping DDT off the middle rope to advance to the final 16.
**1/4

In NYC, Patterson, Brisco, and Chioda are window shopping. Patterson says not to because they're looking for Crash, and Jerry says he wants something to remember the trip by. Crash walks by them, and Chioda says he saw Crash, and Patterson tells him to shut up because he's only a referee. This is awesome.

Kane comes out, and his opponent is Chris Benoit!

Match #4: Chris Benoit vs. Kane
Benoit again does an awesome job bumping and selling for the big man, and is brutal in his attack, and generally just being Chris Benoit. Kane does as well as he can, and his stuff all looks good, so there's that. Him trying makes this better than their match in February. Benoit hits Kane in the face with the IC Title as Kane came off the top rope, and is thusly DQ'd.
**1/2

Kane sits up, so Benoit hits him with the title again. Kane then sits up again, so Benoit leaves. STRONG HEELS.

In the back, Edge and Christian talk. They say if they beat the Dudleyz, they'll be in good with the Faction. Or Regime? Faction? Regime? Or...THE FACGIME! THEY FINALLY NAME IT! YEAH!

XFL PROMO~!

Edge and Christian come down and rip the Cubs. HEY NO. C'MON. :(

Match #5: Edge & Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz
Lawler is on fire in this. Firstly, he shuts up Cole by saying that the Dudleyz put women through tables all the time, so Tori putting Bubba through a table is only fair. Secondly, "BUBBA CAN'T DO A SAMOAN DROP, HE'S NOT EVEN SAMOAN!" The match was solid, but they had way better straight tags against each other early in 2000. This was kind of just a match for 3 minutes, and it went to a double countout as they brawled to the stage.
**

They kept it up, ans Bubba tried to Powerbomb Christian off the stage through a table, but DX saved, and brought a dumpster out. DX and E & C threw the Dudley Boyz in a dumpster, and they pushed the dumpster off the stage through the table! Classic Road Dogg.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley comes down to do commentary on the next match.

Match #6: Chris Jericho vs. Bull Buchanan
This could have been worse, actually. Bull's bumping was surprisingly good, but his selling of offense still fucking blue, and the offense he himself had to do was even worse. Perhaps even the worst. Jericho spat water in Stephanie's face at ringside, so she responded by throwing a jug of water at him when he tried the Lionsault. Bull then hit the Scissors Kick to win.
**

Triple H then ran down and attacked Jericho with Stephanie, and hit the Pedigree.

In NYC, Crash is still looking for this mystery person.

Val Venis comes down, and calls out Rikishi for revenge after last week. Rikishi comes down and they have an awesome brawl. DIS FEUD MAN. I LOVE IT. Aggressive Val is so awesome, and this is his last real run before RTC kills him forever. Val gets slammed through the announce table, but Rikishi keeps it up. Val slowly gets up and out of nowhere, nails him with the ring bell, and the TV monitors several times. Val then lays Rikishi out with a chair to the face, and referees pull them apart. This feud is the best. Says a ton about WWF at this point that this isn't even the best thing in the company when it would easily be that in WWE 2013. At least, not at Mania time.

In NYC, CRASH HOLLY HAS A CONVERSATION WITH SHAFT, WHAT IN THE FUCK?! BEST CROSS-PROMOTION EVER. Crash asks for protection, and Shaft immediately asks if he tried the APA. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. HOLY SHIT THAT WAS THE GREATEST. Crash says he has heat with them so Shaft says it's now his duty to protect Crash's booty.

In NYC, Shaft beats up Patterson and Brisco when they ask about Crash. This is one of the most surreal things I've ever seen on a wrestling show. I love it so much.

The Rock comes out, and his mystery opponent is...Kurt Angle! Cool. They work well together

Match #7: The Rock vs. Kurt Angle
We see Triple H and Stephanie watching in the back, and Stephanie makes Triple H go down and help Kurt, despite him shitting on Kurt all match. They make their way down. As for the match, it's Rock vs. Kurt on TV, so it's good fun. Kurt bumps very well and Rock has a ton of energy, and they have outstanding chemistry for everything. Once Kurt takes the leap from solid to very good in a few months, they're going to be an incredible pairing. Triple H repeatedly gets involved, and then Shane and Bull come down at the end. Rock hits Kurt with the People's Elbow, but H comes in for the DQ.
**3/4

Triple H, Bull, and Shane beat down on The Rock but Kane comes down to save. He goes after Shane, but Chris Benoit runs down to save Shane and he attacks Kane. DX also runs down, and X-Pac hits Kane and Rock with a wrench or a pipe or something. Everyone swarms Rock and Kane to end the show.

WWF Raw is War
June 19th, 2000
Nashville, TN

Kurt Angle comes down and talks about Tennessee. He says he's seen rednecks all around the world, and they are the most genuine rednecks, and they should give themselves a hand. It's true! He says Bubba uses his tables to put people through them, where as people in Nashville use tables to stack welfare checks and inbreed on them.

Match #1: Kurt Angle vs. Bubba Ray Dudley [KOTR 1st Round]
Bubba is at least selling the fact that HE GOT THROWN OFF THE FUCKING STAGE IN A DUMPSTER. That's okay though, because when the match begins, we can tell he's fine. Thank god wrestling's fake. Ugh. Angle then worked on the midsection, and Bubba sold it like hell. He then forgot about it and they exchanged nearfalls. CLASSIC ANGLE. Good exchanges, but piss-poor selling for something that the match focused on. Angle hit the Angle Slam to win.
**1/2

In the back, the FacGime cheers for Kurt apart from Triple H. The McMahons and H leave to go to the ring, but Patterson and Brisco stop Vince in the hallway, and deliver a fax from Linda.

The FacGime minus DX comes down to the ring. Triple H cuts a promo about the storyline everyone knows and says nothing of value at any point, although he does note repeatedly that they are a unit unlike the other side of the KOTR six man. Vince reads the fax, and says Linda questioned their testicles, so Vince says that if Rock, Kane, or Taker pins any one of them at KOTR, they'll be WWF Champion. Triple H flips out at his good idea from Smackdown being undone by Vince being Vince, until Vince says that for this to be official, Rock, Kane, and Taker must win their matches tonight. Which are Kane vs. Hardy Boyz, Taker vs. Bull/Bossman, and Rock vs. T & A, and there will be no interference. Triple H continues to be very pissed.

In the back, Triple H yells at Vince about doing this, and Vince says he'll hold up his end if everyone else does.

Match #2: Chris Benoit vs. X-Pac w/ Tori [KOTR 1st Round]
This ruled. Basically structured match with Benoit playing slight face since EVERYONE hates X-Pac. Benoit makes everything looks awesome and takes huge bumps, as does Pac. Some great nearfalls down the finishing run. The Dudleyz come down and distract X-Pac, leading to the Crossface for the win.
**3/4

The Dudley Boyz beat up X-Pac until Road Dogg runs down for the save and cleans house. This is backwards. Tori then kicks at Bubba in the bad ribs.

In the back, Vince books DX & Tori vs. The Dudley Boyz at KOTR in a Handicap Tables Dumpster Match. Well okay.

Match #3: Eddie Guerrero vs. Chyna [KOTR 1st Round]
This is more amusing than good. Eddie refuses to hit Chyna until she hits him. She can't bring herself to do the low blow, so Eddie cradles her to win.
*

Chyna storms off post-match.

In the back, Christian tells Edge he can't go down to ringside tonight because he's meeting with the editor of Tiger Beat about their cover, and Edge is cool with that.

In the back, Eddie buys Chyna's forgiveness with a puppy.

Match #4: Chris Jericho vs. Edge [KOTR 1st Round]
This is also a lot of fun. Lots of cool counters, which is what both men specialize in. Not a ton of nearfalls, since nobody really buys an Edge win, but the ride is a good one. Jericho blocks a Huracanrana into the Walls of Jericho for the win.
**3/4

In the back, Triple H lectures Bossman and Bull on how important this is. Wait a minute, they broke up and Bossman beat the shit out of Bull with a night stick. Did that just...no? That's being ignored? Shit.

Match #5: The Undertaker vs. Big Bossman/Bull Buchanan
This sucked. Not shocking at all. Bossman abandons Bull, and Taker hits the Chokslam on the bald sack of shit to win. At least it wasn't totally ignored like I feared.
*1/2

In the back, Triple H is pissed and Vince tells him to chill, and it's only one match.

Match #6: Rikishi vs. Scotty 2 Hotty [KOTR 1st Round]
S2H did punches and then The Worm before Rikishi killed him. Bonzai Drop gets the win.
*1/2

Val Venis runs in and attacks Rikishi, before Sexay runs down for the save and Val bails from the 2 on 1.

In the back, Taker tells his bro not to fuck this up. K bro. Thx 4 pep talk. np bro.

Match #7: Kane vs. The Hardy Boyz
Not sure why this is the match on the show that got 7 minutes, but whatever. Not great, Hardys weren't trying super hard since this existed for Kane to squash them. They did some cool stuff towards the end, but Kane won with a Chokeslam on Matt.
**1/4

In the back, Vince and H and Shane argue more and says the WWF Title will stay with them, and Triple H objects to Vince calling the WWF Title theirs and not his.

Match #8: Crash Holly vs. Hardcore Holly [KOTR 1st Round]
They do stuff and it's not awful. Then Brisco and Patterson come down and they hit Crash with a 2x4 for the DQ.
*3/4

Brisco covers Crash and RECLAIMS THE TITLE!

In the back, Patterson, Brisco, and the ref celebrate with drinks. Patterson breaks the bottle on Brisco's head and wins the HXC Title from his friend. YEAH PAT!

In the back, Steph and H lecture T & A. Test's like "pfft, whatever Steph." so H shoves him and says to get the job done. Test being the only one here to care about continuity rules.

Match #9: The Rock vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus
Rock vs. Albert is a fun fire vs. power/size match. Test/Rock is less so. They do stuff and it's alright and then Rock Rocks up at the end and cleans shit up. Test is pinned after the People's Elbow. Whatevs. Not a great episode in the ring.
**

Rock celebrates.

In the back, Triple H throws things all over the locker room and he yells at Vince that he's screwed him, and Vince says to wait for Smackdown.

Triple H, Stephanie, Vince, & Shane come out to open the show. Triple H says he reluctantly has to put his WWF Title on the line at King of the Ring, DESPITE THAT HE CAN LOSE IT WITHOUT EVEN BEING PINNED, he says as he glares at Vince and Shane. Triple H says the title is the most important thing in the world, and tells none of them to take it away from him, and Vince says family should be the most important thing. Vince loses his mind and books H/Vince/Shane vs. Rock/Kane/Taker tonight as practice. H and Shane flip out and simply leave as they yell at Vince. I love that Triple H married into the family as a way of protecting the title with their power and the family turning out to be totally insane is what inevitably ends his reign of terror.

In the parking lot, Triple H and Steph tell Shane if they have to do this so does he, and they're all pissed.

Match #1: The Hardy Boyz/Lita vs. T & A/Trish Stratus
This was actually a ton of fun. The women involvement was minimal, and the T&A vs. Hardyz match was awesome and among their best for the 5 minute this got. Awesome finishing run. Lita hit the Twist of Fate, and pulled Trish over Test, and they both got hit with a Swanton. Albert made the save, and he killed Lita with the Baldo Bomb. He then pulled Trish on top for the cheap win.
**3/4

A recap of the Patterson/Brisco title switch airs.

In the back, Brisco yells for Patterson, and everyone says they haven't seen Pat for a few hours.

Edge and Christian come out in the epic Elvis fat suits.

Posted Image

Christian says luckily for Memphia, nobody will know how fat Elvis really was before he sat down on the toilet one day, because just like this town, he's dead.

Match #2: Christian vs. Grandmaster Sexay
Both tag partners are there. This was pretty fun, and had some real cool spots on the floor. They did a double swerve ending that was also pretty neat. Sexay hit the Hip Hop Drop, but Edge got in. He hit the Spear behind the ref's back, but then the ref got Edge out, and Scotty hit Christian with the bell in a classic turnaround of E&C's trademark at this point, and Sexay covered to win.
**1/4

In the back, Brisco still is looking for Patterson.

In the back, Dean was getting a massage from some fine wimminz and Terri proposed he be her mixed tag partner tonight and that she would scratch his back as well. Well Jules Terri, the funny thing about my back is that it's located on my cock.

In the back, Shane and Triple H talked with Stephanie, and the McMahon kids said Vince had a plan. Probably. They agreed that he had to have a plan, because he's their dead. Triple H shakes his head and leaves.

Match #3: Eddie Guerrero [c] w/ Chyna vs. Big Bossman [WWF European Championship]
AWESOME 3 MINUTES. Bossman begins by throwing Chyna out of the ring hard to the floor. Bossman is the best. They have an awesome match and Bossman hits the Bossman Slam. Chyna distracts the ref, then trips up Bossman and slaps him on the floor. He punches her, and Cole claims he had no reason to do that. Val then runs out with Trish, and he hits Eddie with BBM's nightstick. Bossman covers, and Chyna hits Bossman with the title for the DQ. You are just a horrible babyface.
**1/2

In the women's locker room, Pat Patterson is hiding dressed in drag with the Hardcore Title.

Kurt Angle is looking at his cover of WWF Magazine, and Stephanie congratulates him on the cover and wishes him luck this Sunday. He thanks her and says when he wins the KOTR, he'll then beat her husband for the title. He then smiles and says goodbye, and she's like lolwut, "...bye?"

Match #4: Chris Benoit [c] vs. Rikishi [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
This is pretty awesome, as usual with them. Still only gets 4 minutes because fuck life. Benoit chops the fuck out of Rikishi and kills his arm, and Rikishi makes a comeback not really using his arm to put over the damage. He does manage to get a side Belly to Belly, and he hits the Banzai Drop to win the title. I wish this could have gone longer.
**1/2

Too Cool comes down to celebrate. They start to dance, but Benoit kills them all with a chair, and targets Rikishi's arm that he worked on in the match. He puts Rikishi in the Crossface, and keeps it on until referees pull him off.

Match #5: Chris Jericho vs. Hardcore Holly
They actually have a pretty decent basically structured heel/face whatever kinda match with some cool spots. Stephanie comes down and hits Jericho with the women's title, but he kicks out of Holly's cover, and then manages to come back and hits the Lionsault to win.
**3/4

In the back, The Kat finds TAKA and drags him out to the ring to be her partner.

TAKA comes down, but Malenko kills him on the ramp. They double team Kat UNTIL JERRY LAWLER HAS HAD ENOUGH FUCK YEAH!

Match #6: Dean Malenko/Terri vs. Jerry Lawler/The Kat
This is so much goddamn fun for 3 minutes. Lawler brings his epic punches, and it's Memphis, so this is the hottest they've been all night, and maybe will be. Dean is Dean, and Malenko/Lawler have very good chemistry AND THE STRAP COMES DOWN! YEAH! Dean bails, and Lawler pulls Terri in and Kat gets a schoolgirl to win. The wimminz were in for like 30 seconds, and the rest was Lawler being Lawler.
**1/2

Terri gives King the Bronco Buster post-match, until Kat throws her out. King's just in heaven after that. Lawler is/was the best.

In the back, Finkel tells Brisco he's heard Patterson is in the women's locker room dressed as a lady. Brisco wonders how to get in there, and Fink whispers something to him. Of COURSE Fink would know

Match #7: D-Von Dudley vs. Road Dogg
Tag partners and Tori are both there. The Dudz set up a table at ringside and there's also a dumpster on the right side of the stage. They do stuff for 90 seconds or so, before Tori distracts the ref and X-Pac hits the X-Factor and Dogg covers to win.
*3/4

They bring the table in the ring, but the Dudleyz come back. Bubba tries to powerbomb Tori through it, but Pac breaks a 2x4 over his back, and DX bails. Chimel's mike is off, so he has to announce Dogg as the winner 3 times before it doesn't go static. Bubba takes exception to his and thinks they're being mocked. He throws Tony Chimel in, and hurt ribs and all, they hit the 3D on Chimel through the table. Bubba then holds his midsection. Well maybe don't put innocent announcers through tables, I don't know.

In the back, Brisco is dressed as a woman and he attacks Patterson. They brawl in the back, and Vince sees it. He yells at them both, and books a Hardcore Title Evening Gown Match for KOTR.

All the men in the 6 man come out, and Vince says it's now a handicap match. DX, T & A, Bull Buchanan, Val Venis, Angle, Edge, & Christian then come out as the opponents and it's 9 on 3 and the bell never really rings. Kane and Taker get taken out on the floor as a result of Angle, Edge, & Christian beating down Taker and T&A and Val doing a number on Kane. Rock eats a Pedigree in the ring, and then Shane hits a flying elbow, and Vince does a People's Elbow, and forces the ref to count. The FacGime celebrated to end the show.

WWF KING OF THE RING 2000
JUNE 25TH, 2000
BOSTON, MA

Match #1: Chris Benoit vs. Rikishi [KOTR Quarterfinals]

Fun 3 minutes. HEY SHITHEADS. IT'S A PAY-PER-VIEW, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THAT. WHY IS *THIS* THE MATCH THAT GETS CUT FOR TIME?! This is all Benoit offense on the bad arm, and that's great. Rikishi gets to the ropes in the Crossface though, so Benoit gets mad and hits him in the face with a chair.
**

He goes wild with the chair on the bad arm, and puts on the Crossface. Referees come out to pull him off, and he then hits a Diving Headbutt on the bad shoulder. Benoit finally leaves and Rikishi has a huge bruise on his arm, which is a great visual thing to get over the beating.

On Heat, Linda McMahon showed up. Cole asked why she was here, and she said she's here to talk to her husband.

In the locker room of the McMahon-Helmsley FacGime, Vince says he's cool tonight when Shane says to keep his cool. He says he's more than cool, he's Joe Cool. He says he's going to put her in her place, and he power-struts out of the room. Triple H and Shane share a look, and they just sigh because they're fucked.

In the back, Cole interviews Chris Benoit. He says everyone already knows he's the best wrestler in the history of the WWF, and he doesn't need to prove anything. He says Rikishi had to pay, and nobody tells him what to do. Yeah, fuck that #1 Contender's spot the winner of the tournament might get if the FacGime wins tonight. You lunatic.

Match #2: Eddie Guerrero vs. Val Venis [KOTR Quarterfinals]
Chyna and Trish are there on the floor. This gets 8 minutes, so they can run wild with cool offense. Not a ton of story, but everything was crisp and pretty, so I'll give it to them. Trish tries a distraction with the power of tits, but Chyna pulls her off to the floor. Val grabs Chyna, and she hits him, but he kicks out of the subsequent cradle. Val then gets a Fisherman's Suplex for the shockingly clean win.
***

In the back, Pat Patterson is checking out his possible wardrobe for the match. He says he needs something prettier than Brisco, because he's the champion.

In the back, Coach asks Rikishi if he can go against Val Venis in the Semi-Finals. He says he's able, and he's looking forward to it.

Match #3: Crash Holly vs. Bull Buchanan [KOTR Quarterfinals]
Acceptable match due to Crash dying on everything and being an awesome underdog. He avoids a Scissors Kick and gets a quick Oklahoma Roll for the upset! YEAH!
*1/2

In the back, Vince goes to Linda and talks shit about how she's meddlesome. Linda asks if it's just 3 on 3 tonight or 12 on 3 like SD, so Vince bars all outside parties from ringside in a fit of rage, again fucking them over with his refusal to let Linda get the last word on anything.

Match #4: Chris Jericho vs. Kurt Angle [KOTR Quarterfinals]
Quality work once again from this pairing. This is their best match together, since it seems Kurt's finally clicked as a very good wrestler. Bumps around really well for all Jericho's big stuff, and he's starting to get that kind of snap behind his throws and punches. Great nearfalls during the finishing run, and yeah. Stephanie comes out to distract the ref, but the ref is then hit. She tries to hit Jericho with the title again, BUT HE DUCKS AND SHE HITS KURT! YEAH! Jericho has the pin, but the ref is out. Stephanie tries a slap, BUT JERICHO BLOCKS IT AND KISSES STEPHANIE! He backed up, BUT KURT HIT THE ANGLE SLAM! KURT WINS!
***

SEMI-FINALS:
-RIKISHI VS. VAL VENIS
-CRASH HOLLY VS. KURT ANGLE

Dat Crash/Val final. HNGH.

In the back, Vince reassures Shane that no interference doesn't mean anything, and they can still win and to have faith in him.

Edge & Christian come out for the tag title match. Edge says they have a brand new Five Second Pose that details Boston's most famous sports moment, and they detail Bill Buckner's famous moment in which the ball rolled through his legs.

Match #5: Too Cool [c] vs. Edge & Christian vs. The Hardy Boyz w/ Lita vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus [WWF Tag Team Championship - Elimination Match]
This is great! You get mostly the two tag feuds highlighted at first, and that's good. Hardys vs. Test and Albert gets a long run to open up. Albert goes wild with epic power offense on Juff to isolate him for a bit. Lita takes out Trish when she tries to interfere. Test hits Matt with the Pumphandle Slam, but Jeff breaks the cover with the Swanton Bomb! He takes out Albert, and Matt rolls on top to eliminate them. AND WE GET BACK TO E & C VS. HARDYS! YEAH! They do lots of their usual good counters and spots, without giving a ton away, since they're obviously going back to that down the line. Matt tries the Twist of Fate on Edge, but Christian pulls him off and hits the Unprettier to eliminate them. E&C vs. Too Cool is last, and they have a fun match. This is like 10x better than the match with the actual title switch. JR takes time to get in some subtle JERRY'S KID~ jokes too. They hit Edge with the Death Sentence, but christian hits Sexay in the back of the head with the belt and Edge rolls on top to regain the titles.
***1/4

In the back, Cole interviews Crash and says he's made it a long way. Crash why it's a surprise and says he held the Hardcore Title a long time before those creepy old men in their dresses and make up, and says they'll get what's coming to them later.

Match #6: Rikishi vs. Val Venis w/ Trish Stratus [KOTR Semi-Finals]
AWESOME 3 minutes. Around that level of Owen/Kid in '94 for awesome 3-4 minute semi-final matches. Rikishi's arm is hurt so he immediately goes wild. Val gets super aggressive on the bad arm, but Rikishi catches him out of nowhere with the Side Belly to Belly for the win.
**3/4

Trish jumps on Rikishi's back, so he flips her overhead. He tries the Bonzai Drop, but Val gets a low blow to save her. He brings the steps and a chair in, AND HURLS THE STEPS INTO RIKISHI'S BAD ARM HOLY SHIT! He puts the arm on top of the steps now, AND SLAMS THE CHAIR DOWN ON THE SHOULDER! Val and Trish leave, and Rikishi's arm is totally useless.

In the back, Brisco says he'll show Patterson tonight he's all man. As he says that, a stagehand delivers his dress and asks if he wants normal or crotchless panties. LOLOLOLOLOL.

Match #7: Kurt Angle vs. Crash Holly [KOTR Semi-Finals]
Another really fun 3 minutes. Crash gets a ton of underdog offense and uses his speed, before Kurt uses it against him with a Hot Shot to the top rope. He then hits the Angle Slam to win. :(
**3/4

HYPE VIDEO FOR PATTERSON/BRISCO.

Match #8: Pat Patterson [c] vs. Gerald Brisco [WWF Hardcore Championship - Evening Gown Match]
This...yeah. Patterson is having so much goddamn fun. He throws candy to the crowd. Also, they both wore makeup and lipstick and fake breasts, even though that was not at all required. Patterson's dress still has the price tag. He wheels a cart of "weapons" out, and it's pillows and Sharman and a teddy bear. Patterson force feeds Brisco a banana and then pulls a maxi-pad from under his dress and rubs it in Brisco's face. Crash runs down and hits them both with a trash can to regain his title. I have no idea how to rate this. It was simultaneously the best and worst thing ever.
GOT DAT CACK

They fight to the back. Brisco has a thong on.

In the back, The Dudley Boyz spraypaint TORI on a table and walk away with it.

Match #9: The Dudley Boyz vs. X-Pac/Road Dogg/Tori [Handicap Tables vs. Dumpster Match]
So, JR finally explains the rules. For DX to win, the Dudleyz have to both be in the dumpster, and for Dudz to win, all three members of DX have to go through tables. They again do that thing where they work a normal tag match with legal man rules in a match where there's no such thing as a legal man. Both members of DX get put through tables, and they chase Tori. She hides in the dumpster, and the Dudleys get on the apron. They open the dumpster up, and DX hits them in the back and head with chairs. They fall in, and DX closes the lid to win. What the fuck?
**1/2

X-Pac and Road Dogg look for Tori, but she's in the dumpster. Bubba and D-Von come out of it with her, and they hit X-Pac and Road Dogg with 3Ds. Tori is finally Superbombed through a table and the goddamned feud is done.

In the back, Cole interviews Kurt Angle. He says the party is over.

In the back, Coach interviews Rikishi. He says yeah, his arm is hurt, but what Captain America doesn't get is that all the Wheaties in the world won't stop him from backing this ass up.

Match #10: Kurt Angle vs. Rikishi [2000 KING OF THE RING FINALS]
This is of quality as well. Rikishi's doesn't sell the arm as much as I'd like given what he's taken, but once it becomes a thing, his selling is fine. He can't lift Kurt much or use his right arm, and uses his body and Superkicks a lot more. Rikishi kicks out of the Angle Slam, but is felled by the Belly to Belly Superplex.
**3/4

Hype video for the main event.

In the back, Kurt Angle watches while drinking a carton of milk, since he'll be #1 Contender if Triple H retains the title.

Match #11: Triple H [c]/Vince McMahon/Shane McMahon vs. The Rock/The Undertaker/Kane [WWF Championship]
This is obviously held back by the McMahons, but the others do the best they can. Taker makes things at least entertaining with his immense shit talking when beating Vince and Shane up. In-fighting allows The Rock to be isolated. That's alright, and it breaks down at the end without a hot tag being made. The faces all fight and Kane Chokeslams Rock, but then Kane hits Triple H with a Tombstone. Taker takes out Kane with a chair shot, AND CHOKESLAMS SHANE OFF THE TOP THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE YEAH! Vince sees Rock down and him being Vince McMahon costs the FacGime a final time, as he tries the People's Elbow instead of just covering. Rock pops up and hits Vince with the Rock Bottom to win the title.

WWF Raw is War
June 26th, 2000
Worcester, MA

NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW WWF Champion The Rock comes out to open the show, AND FINALLY, THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO WORCESTER. And finally, The Rock is the WWF Champion and the games are over. He says Vince still owns the company, cars, houses, and the best penis implant money can buy! He says what he owns though is the WWF Title and his candy ass and the McMahon-Helmsley Faction is OVER, and Vince McMahon comes out to the ring. He congratulates him on being champion again and wishes him good luck in this new era. He says last night as he laid on his back looking up at the lights, he had an epiphany. He says he's going to go home and give his wife the attention she's been asking for over the last month by being kind for his enemies and making decisions that hurt him. He's going to give her all the love she wants, and he he suspects she wants another baby. If that's what she wants, HE'S HER GENETIC JACKHAMMER, AND DADDY'S COMING HOME. He offers Rock a handshake before he leaves, but Rock says he's still Vince McMahon and he's still an asshole, and he gives him the Rock Bottom.

In the parking lot, a limousine shows up, and Shawn Michaels steps out!

In the parking lot coming back, Stephanie tries to stop Vince from leaving, and he tells her to tell Triple H that he's sorry before he drives away.

Match #1: Rikishi [c] vs. Chris Benoit [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
This is all of 2 minutes. They work well together again, and Benoit immediately commences taking entirely insane bumps. Rikishi doesn't sell the arm going in as much as you'd want, but it's a 2 minute match, so whatever. They get going on that, and then it picks up a lot. Rikishi has good comeback, and in an awesome bit of selling, he switches the arm he uses to drag Benoit to the corner. He's setting up the Bonzai Drop, but Tazz makes his return and hits Rikishi with a chair for the DQ!
**1/4

Tazz leaves, and Benoit picks the chair up and beats on the arm of Rikishi some more. He hits the Diving Headbutt onto the arm, and then leaves.

In the parking lot, Triple H arrives. Stephanie and DX meet him, and Stephanie says Vince is sorry. He glares at them all and walks away to the back. Road Dogg says he'll go talk to Hunter, and Stephanie says for X-Pac to go take care of Jericho, and says she'll go with him because she wants to see it.

Match #2: Chris Jericho vs. X-Pac w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley
As always, these two work well together. This is also only three minutes, but whatever. Road Dogg comes out to interfere as well, but Jericho cuts him off. He hits the Lionsault on X-Pac, but SMH distracts the ref. Road Dogg hits an axehandle blow to Jericho, and somehow that's enough for X-Pac to roll on top and win. What year is this?
**

DX holds up Jericho post-match, and Stephanie slaps him.

In the back, Kurt Angle shines his crown and JR says the coronation will happen tonight.

Match #3: Eddie Guerrero [c] vs. Val Venis [WWF European Championship]
Both Chyna and Trish are ringside. This is ALSO ONLY THREE MINUTES. DAMNIT. They still have a really good match together, and then both men are down. Trish gets in to pull Val on top, but Chyna then breaks up the count for the DQ.
**

Post-match, Chyna hits Trish with a Powerbomb and Val eats a Double DDT.

The coronation is up, but Shawn Michaels comes out instead and shoves the throne off the stage, because he's the biggest piece of shit in history. He gets out to the ring, and says he has an announcement regarding the #1 Contender to The Rock, and begins to say something else, but Triple H and Stephanie come out to the ring. Triple H shakes Shawn's hand and says they've been friends for a long time, and this shot belongs to him. He says there is no argument about this, because he was never beaten and he was screwed last night. Shawn says he agrees with him, but what he was about to say is that he's not the commissioner anymore, and thus he has no real power. He says he was about to introduce the new commissioner, AND BRINGS OUT MICK FOLEY! FUCK YEAH! TRIPLE H FLIPS ENTIRELY THE FUCK OUT! Shawn leaves and Mick gets dat cheap pop. He says he's a little more powerful than he used to be, and Linda has bestowed upon him the right to make certain decisions, one of them being title matches! He says the #1 Contender will have to earn it, and Kurt Angle comes out in his cape and crown. He asks what the heck is going on with his coronation, and says he doesn't think so. He says he won KOTR and he should be the #1 Contender and Triple H lost. He lists his accolades as Triple H moves in on him, and Kurt says he's royalty. It's true, it's true. Foley says he made some good points and he is the King of the Ring, but laughs at his outfit. He says they're both great and books them vs. The Rock in a triple threat, and if either of them wins, they get a title shot!

In the back, Dean Malenko is playing pool with ladies. Terri comes in and asks him to represent her in a striptease match or something. He refuses until she says she'll give him a private viewing if they win, and he is on board with that on account of tits.

Match #4: Dean Malenko w/ Terri vs. Jerry Lawler w/ The Kat [Over The Top Striptease Match]
Every time one of them goes over the top, their woman has to take off an article of clothing. They mostly just punch each other and it's Lawler, so that's fine. He wins.
*3/4

Terri goes to take her bra off, BUT STEVEN RICHARDS COMES OUT AND COVERS HER UP WITH A CENSORED SIGN! YEAH! It's the beginning of the 2 months when RTC was slightly bearable and occasionally entertaining!

In the back, Edge and Christian find Commissioner Foley and say they should get a private locker room like the Rock and the FacGime. Foley says he never had his own dressing room, and Edge says he never changed his clothes. Christian says this is not cool, and Foley says maybe he can find them a locker room, but these things must be done veeeeery delicately. WIZARD OF OZ! YEAH! LOVE THAT MOVIE! Foley walks away and yells that he'll get him and his little dog too. Edge asks who hired this guy. They've already started with the greatest comedy team ever.

Coming back, Edge and Christian have their locker room and they're on recliners. Edge says this reeks of awesomeness and Christian says he's a little thirsty, and they should get ol' Commissioner Mick to get them some sodas. Edge says he's parched, AND SODAS RULE! FUCK YEAH! EVERYTHING GREAT HAPPENS ON THIS EPISODE!

There's supposed to be a tag team battle royal, but The Acolytes attack everyone and it becomes a brawl.

In the back, Mick Foley checks on Edge and Christian. They ask for sodas, and he says it'll be his pleasure to quench their thirst, and says good luck tonight. Edge asks what match, and Foley says it's just a little non-title match against two guys who are having problems, Kane and Undertaker!

Match #5: Tag Team Battle Royal
The Hardys, Dudleys, Too Cool, and KDX are all out within a minute, so it horrible gets down to T & A vs. The Acolytes vs. Saturn and D'Lo. Saturn and D'Lo are also out soon, and it's just a lot of Test stuff. The APA comes back and wins. This was pretty much a total refusal to have a good match by booking.
3/4*

Footage airs of Donald Trump at an MSG house show saying The Rock is his favorite.

In the back, Mick Foley gets Edge & Christian their sodas. Christian tries to back out of their match, and Mick says if they don't, he'll strip them of the titles.

In the back, Taker and Kane walk. Taker offers Kane some chew, and Kane cocks his head like "...what?". Taker shrugs, probably realizing it won't fit through the mouth hole, and puts it back in his pocket and they go to the ring.

Match #6: The Undertaker/Kane vs. Edge & Christian
This is only 90 seconds, but it's just a wonderful squash. Edge and Christian both completely die, and lose after Stereo Chokeslams.
**

Match #7: The Rock vs. Kurt Angle vs. Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley

This is good, but it's nothing special. Mostly exists to begin the Triple H/Angle tension and gradually transition Kurt Angle into the main event picture. They do a great job of that, as he gets in more offense on both men than you'd expect and it plants the idea that he could conceivably be a title contender in your head. He hits the Angle Slam on Rock, but Triple H breaks it up. He hits Kurt with the Pedigree, but Chris Jericho runs out and breaks it up. He hangs up H throat-first on the top rope, and Rock then hits the Rock Bottom for the win.

WWF Smackdown
June 29th, 2000
Hartford, CT

In Foley's office, which is a table in the back with a framed Frank Sinatra pic, a cactus, and a lava lamp because he is the greatest authority figure of all time, Triple H and Stephanie yell at Mick about doing the right thing for what happened on Raw and making him #1 Contender after Chris Jericho screwed him and he got robbed at King of the Ring. Mick says they go way back and talks about him fighting Dude Love in London. Triple H says to shut up and Mick says he'll do the right thing. They leave, and Mick then sings the Dude Love song.

Match #1: Chris Benoit/Val Venis vs. Rikishi/Eddie Guerrero w/ Chyna
This is as great as a 4 minute match could be. Every pairing is fantastic. Benoit/Eddie obviously delivers the most of the pairings, but Rikishi and Val have some epic brawls too. Benoit/Rikishi is fine, but that's been done enough for now. T & A and Trish come down and beat up Chyna in revenge for RAWR, and Eddie gets involved. Val and Benoit attack Rikishi in the ring, and Too Cool runs down to save for the DQ.
***

The babyfaces clear the ring, and they dance, including Eddie and Chyna.

In the back, Angle introduces himself as king to Kaientai, and says king is like what they would think of in Japan as emperor. Or warlord. Or "head ninja". It's true. TAKA says "samurai" and Kurt says he doesn't know what that is. Hardcore Holly comes in and says they're Japanese, not retarded and punts Angle's crown across the hallway. He then challenges him to a match right now, and calls him a bitch. Holly runs to the ring, and that was AMAZING. Kurt as an idiot, Holly as this hyper-aggressive asshole. HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?!

Match #2: Kurt Angle vs. Hardcore Holly
This isn't great, but it rules. BECAUSE ANGLE BREAKS HOLLY'S ARM WITH A MOONSAULT! This somehow got 7 minutes when that opening tag only got 4 minutes. Post-arm break, Kurt is exposed and clearly has no idea what to do, and they killed time until the Angle Slam won.
**

In the back, Triple H is still upset about everything in life, and Stephanie tries to get him to calm down and tells him to go get some fresh air.

In the office, Edge and Christian tell Mick they're too sore to defend the title tonight after Raw. Foley says he feels bad for making them face Taker & Kane, so they can have singles matches instead. Say, Christian vs. Kane and Edge vs. The Undertaker!

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley comes down and gets on the mic. She calls out Foley to book Triple H vs. Chris Jericho, and he comes out. She says this is her birthplace and it's very special to her, and she'd like to see her husband give that degenerate what he deserves. Mick says that's quite touching, and Hartford is also special to him. Because it's where her husband beat him into retirement, but now he's the one in control, and he can screw around with Triple H's career just like that! He says he's given it thought and will book H vs. Jericho tonight! ...as part of a six man tag of Jericho and the Dudley Boyz vs. D-Generation X! Foley says he loves the commissionary position, and leaves.

Before Godfather vs. Bull Buchanan, Steven Richards comes out and says he has taken it upon himself to censor what the company and network will not have the guts to censor. He tells Godfather to clean up his act, meaning no half naked women or promoting of sexuality, or he will censor him.

Match #3: The Godfather w/ Hos vs. Bull Buchanan
This was maybe 2 minutes, so at least it was short. Bull shoved a ho down on the floor to distract Godfather, and then hit the Scissors Kick to win.
3/4*

In the back, Edge and Christian talk about how unfair this is.

Match #4: Kane vs. Christian w/ Edge
This was a ton of fun, as they got nearly five minutes to work with. Christian bumps huge for Kane, and they work a ton of good coward vs. monster spots with Edge interfering. The ref goes down, and Edge tries to use a chair, but Kane blocks. He's about to hit a double Chokeslam, but Tazz runs down and hits Kane with a chair. E & C take both chairs now and kill Kane with the Conchairto. The ref is woken up and Christian covers for the upset.
**1/4

In the back, Edge and Christian talk and Edge says he so knows now that if Christian can beat Kane, he can beat The Undertaker.

A recap of The Rock on TRL airs.

Match #5: The Undertaker vs. Edge w/ Christian
Taker pretty much kills Edge, besides a few pockets of offense after he uses a chair. Chokeslam wins it.
*3/4

Post-match, they beat up Taker, until Kane makes the save. They lay them out with a Chokeslam and Taker debuts the Last Ride and Christian absolutely DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIES taking it.

In the back, Mick Foley finds Al Snow and says he wants to let bygones be bygones, and he'll give Al a title shot. Al says him vs. The Rock would rule, and Foley does a spittake and laughs hysterically as Al is mad, before saying he's taking on Crash Holly, and he demands Head return, because people liked him then.

A recap airs of WWF winning the Viacom trial, and Linda announces that Raw is moving to TNN, and HeAT to MTV.

Match #6: Crash Holly [c] vs. Al Snow w/ Head [WWF Hardcore Championship]
They have a pretty fun match with cool spots, including Al's awesome bowling ball spot. Steve Blackman then comes down and kills Crash with nunchucks, and Steve Blackman wins the Hardcore Title.
**1/2

GREATEST HARDCORE TITLE REIGN OF ALL TIME! IT'S BEGUN!

In the parking lot, The Posse tries to jump Steve Blackman, but he kills them all with the nunchucks and leaves. Steve Blackman has finally found his niche after two and a half years.

In the back, Jericho pumps up the Dudleyz by asking them how it would feel to put Stephanie through a table, and Bubba goes into his trance again. OH MY BROTHA. TESTIFYYYYY.

Match #7: Chris Jericho/The Dudley Boyz vs. Triple H/X-Pac/Road Dogg w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley
Really fun 6 man, and it got eight minutes to build up. Jericho and Triple H got built all match, and the explosion of that in the finishing run was awesome. X-Pac tried, and Road Dogg was awesome as usual in a tag setting. The finishing run was pretty cool, and they had that thing I love where they make you think the finish is coming soon, but then the heels take back over and turn it into another control segment. A table got set up on the floor but never used, and Triple H Pedigreed D-Von to win.
**3/4

Post-match. Bubba tried to send Stephanie out through the table, but DX saved. They brawled with the Dudley Boyz to the back. Triple H got up again on the apron, AND JERICHO HITS THE SPRINGBOARD TRIANGLE DROPKICK TO SEND TRIPLE H THROUGH THE TABLE! FUCK YEAH!

Orlando, FL

In the back before the intro video, Triple H barges into Commissioner Foley's office. He demands either his title shot or Chris Jericho, and Foley says fine. He says he can have a match with Chris Jericho at Fully Loaded, but he blew his #1 Contenders shot last week. He says he'll give him a shot near the top though, and gives him an Intercontinental Title shot against Rikishi! Triple H is mad, and says until Fully Loaded when he does get Chris Jericho, everyone he gets in the ring with IS Chris Jericho.

Match #1: Eddie Guerrero [c] w/ Chyna vs. Chris Benoit [WWF European Championship]
HEY THEY GET 4 MINUTES AND KILL EACH OTHER FOR ALL OF IT. Lots of back and forth and death and quality counters. I have a low bar for *** on Attitude Era TV, but they clear it, so whatever. Benoit gets the belt and considers hitting Eddie with it, but he pauses. Chyna then gets in and hits him for the DQ. CUUUUUUUNT.
***

Eddie dropkicks Benoit back into Chyna, and then he checks on Chyna. He gets up and Benoit KO's him with the title belt. He then puts Chyna in the Crossface, because he's the fucking man. Referees have to pull him off. Fuck that. She wants to compete with men, don't give me that double standard fuck you shit.

Commissioner Foley comes down, and he gets on the mic. He says he wants to discuss the #1 Contender, and The Rock comes out. They exchange pleasantries and Foley asks Rock who he feels about being the 5 time champion. He starts to speak - BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW HE FEELS! AHAHAHAHAHAH HOLY SHIT FOLEY FINALLY GOT HIM. Mick takes a victory lap, and Rock even cracks and starts laughing. They get down to business, and Rock asks who the #1 Contender is for Fully Loaded, and Shane McMahon comes out. He gives a speech on all he's overcome, and says he should be in charge of making the #1 Contender as McMahon heir, not Mick Foley. In response, Foley says that if Shane wants to be the #1 Contender so badly, he can face The Rock tonight for the WWF Title!

Match #2: Rikishi [c] vs. Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
They have an alright match for 4 minutes, and Rikishi again makes the match with his epic bumping to get over Triple H's anger with Jericho. They go to a double countout.
**1/4

Jericho runs down and throws Triple H back in after he tries to bail, and he gets the Stink Face! Triple H and Stephanie flee to the back, and Too Cool comes down to dance with Rikishi.

In the back, Triple H and Stephanie threaten Foley to get Jericho. He puts Jericho vs. X-Pac and Road Dogg together, under the provision that H stays away from ringside or his PPV match with Jericho is off, and Triple H agrees, but storms off in a huff.

Match #3: Val Venis vs. Jeff Hardy
Trish and Lita are both ringside. Aaaaaaaaaaand Jeff is wearing a half-shirt. Goddamnit. This totally ruled, as Jeff flew around and bumped huge, and Val Venis was up to his usual crispness and aggression. Jeff hits the Swanton, but the ref is distracted by Trish and Lita arguing. Tazz runs down and chokes out Jeff with the Tazzmission. Val then hits the Money Shot to win.
***

In the back, Pat Patterson asks Foley to cancel Rock vs. Shane, but Foley bangs his gavel on the table and says it's final. I should clarify since it's a Patterson seg that it is actuallt a gavel, and not Pat's penis that he just walked in and put on the desk. He's not Virgil or anything.

Before the handicap match, Foley comes out and says that since H was in such a rush to have Chris Jericho dealt with and so rude, he didn't get a chance to make himself clear. It is a handicap match, but it's a 3 on 2 handicap match, and Jericho will team with the Acolytes! YEAH!

Match #4: Chris Jericho/The Acolytes vs. X-Pac/Road Dogg
This was pretty fun, as DX died. Pac and Dogg bumped well and took a great beating as usual, and they had minor pockets of offense. Dogg got killed with the Clothesline from Hell, and then Pac ate a massive Faarooq Spinebuster and the Lionsault for the win.
**

Triple H throws food around in the back. He appears to be mad.

COMMERCIAL FOR MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 2! YEAH!

Triple H and Stephanie storm off in the parking lot as Triple H rants about everything that's gone wrong since King of the Ring, and leave in a limo.

Edge and Christian come out and say that by making them defend vs. The Undertaker & Kane, Commish Foley has SO scraped the bowels of sucktitude. They have a new pose entitled "Kane, we're sorry we hit you with chairs on Smackdown. And hey, Undertaker, you're a pretty cool guy." The pose consists of Edge putting on a Kane mask and raising Christian's arm, which he says is to symbolize the end of the match.

Match #5: Edge & Christian [c] vs. The Undertaker/Kane [WWF Tag Team Championship]
Pretty much a squash, but a really entertaining one due to the champions being excellent pinballs, especially Christian. Taker has Christian set for a Chokeslam, but Kurt Angle comes down and hits Taker in the knee with his scepter for the DQ to save his friends' titles.
**

Kurt bails out as The Undertaker gets up, realizing he's fucked up huge. The Brother of Destruction hit the champions with a Chokeslam and Last Ride, and pose.

In the back, Cole asks Kurt why he pissed off The Undertaker and cost them the WWF Tag Titles. Kurt says he was only helping his friends and apologizes if he in any way offended Mr. Taker, and quickly leaves.

On HeAT, apparently Dean Malenko had an open challenge and Jackie accepted, before Dean killed her. Fuck yeah Dean.

Dean Malenko comes out with random whores and again issues a challenge, and Crash Holly accepts.

Match #6: Dean Malenko [c] vs. Crash Holly [WWF Light Heavyweight Championship]
They have a fun match for just under two minutes with awesome work by both guys and some great nearfalls. Dean caught a Rana attempt, and hit a massive Powerbomb to retain.
**

Post-match, Jackie and Ivory come down and beat up Malenko. Why? What is the point?

In the back, Gerald Brisco tries to get Foley to cancel the match, but he refuses again.

Kurt Angle comes out and tells all NBA free agents to not come to Orlando, because this place stinks. It's true. He then scolds Foley for giving away his #1 Contender spot, and says he better have suitable opposition tonight, unlike every sports team that travels to Orlando. Then the Brooklyn Brawler comes out. Angle says he hasn't won a match since the Carter administration, and Commissioner Foley comes out. He says Brawler is his partner tonight, not his opponent!

Match #7: The Dudley Boyz vs. Kurt Angle/Brooklyn Brawler
This was basically a Dudleys showcase for 3 minutes, but the crowd was just SO fucking hot. Angle got some offense in, but got annoyed at Brawler being Brawler. Angle eventually walked out on him, and Brawler ate the 3D to lose. The Undertaker watched from the back.
**

Post-match, the Dudleys shrug and decide to go for it. D-Von gets and sets up the table, and Bubba hits Brawler with a Superbomb through the table.

Match #8: The Godfather w/ Hos vs. Test w/ Trish Stratus
This sucked, and sucked bad. About a minute in, Steven Richards came down and put sacks over the hos. This distracted the pimp, and Test hit the Flying Elbow to win.
1/2*

In the back, Shane complains to Commissioner Foley about how unfair this is, so he yells about all he's fought and worked through, and says he thought McMahons were tough.

In the back, Steven Richards cuts an awesome promo about how freedom is going too far, and he has to stop us before America becomes a nation of naked people on donkeys shooting off illegal fireworks and drunk on tequila. He says the madness stops today.

In the back, Al Snow congratulates Blackman on the HXC Title, and says they should break up. Steve says, "Great!" Al then reads him an awesome poem:

"When we first teamed up, we won with great ease
Me with my head, you with your cheese
I tried to be hip, carefree, and fun
Give some personality, since you clearly had none
We went to a farm, and I had to say, "Wow!"
I never saw a guy nunchuck a cow
(something ending in you)
You beat and alien, Ben Franklin, and a woman who turned 82
We tried it your way, without any luck
Two Blackmans were boring, boy, did we suck
Then we were losing, not winning a lot
This has nothing to do with you, but Bea Arthur is really hot
You're still really dull and kind of a bore
But you have a nice beard, and now you're hardcore"

While this happened, Blackman beat the shit out of the Posse behind Snow's back. Snow yells at him for not listening, and Blackman walks off.

Rock vs. Shane is supposed to happen, but BENOIT HITS ROCK WITH A CHAIR! YEAH! NEW MAIN EVENT FEUD AWESOME! Benoit puts on the Crossface, and Shane kicks rock in the ribs and hits him with a chair in the hold, and hits referees with the chair when they try and get in. Rock is in the hold for like two minutes minutes, before Foley comes down, and Shane and Benoit leave. Shane holds up Benoit's hand on the ramp to end the show. AWESOME ANGLE.

WWF Smackdown
July 6th, 2000
Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Kurt Angle comes out to open the show, and says he wants to apologize to all of Florida's senior citizens, because due to Mick Foley refusing to give him the WWF Title shot he deserves as your King, THEY WILL ALL DIE BEFORE SEEING HIM BECOME WWF CHAMPION. KURT IS THE GREATEST. He apologizes to The Undertaker and Kane and says his intentions were pure on Monday, and he knows they possess the integrity to forgive him. It's true!

Match #1: Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho
Stephanie comes out to watch. They have their usual really fun five minute TV match. They hold back slightly, so it's not as good as KOTR or their other matches they'll have in the future in which they try real hard, but it is of quality. Stephanie got a low blow on Jericho using the scepter, and Angle hit the Angle Slam for the win. I love the small detail that Kurt is able to avenge Stephanie by beating Jericho where as Jericho has gotten the best of Triple H for the last two weeks.
**3/4

In the back, Kurt Angle celebrates and throws food around as well as some milk. Dennis Knight tells Kurt that Taker's bike is behind the table, and it's covered in shit he threw. Kurt runs away in a panic. In Kurt's defense, The Undertaker not have parked behind the catering table if he didn't want food and milk on his expensive bike. Kurt immediately grabs a taxi and leaves.

Commissioner Foley comes out, and he gets on the mic. He asks for an explanation from Chris Benoit, and Benoit comes down. He says he wants the WWF Title, and that's all the explanation he needs. Foley says he ruined his main event though, then Edge and Christian come down. They put over Benoit and say a Canadian deserves the title, because Canadians rule!. Mick then makes the three of them vs. The Rock/Eddie Guerrero/Chyna for tonight! Fuck it, close enough.

In the parking lot, Stephanie waits for H to arrive. He gets out of the limo and she brags about embarrassing Jericho. He tells her not to go out there with him because she could get hurt. She says it was okay because Kurt was there, and Triple H says not to go out there with Kurt Angle. He storms off and says they're gonna talk to Foley, and Hunter is wearing jean shorts, lol. H cannot pull off jean shorts badass like Austin can. Soz.

Match #2: The Dudley Boyz vs. Lo Down
HOLY SHIT, LO DOWN DELIVERS?! I remembered a good Hardys match later in the year, but this was also great, so I guess they were always solid. Yeah, even Chaz. Great chemistry and fire as a team, and D'Lo hit an awesome no-hands dive to the floor. The Dudz set up a table, but Steven Richards ran down and took it to the back. Lo Down took advantage of the distraction and almost won, but the Dudz came back and hit the 3D to win. Good match. Shockingly so. Lo Down look awesome in defeat.
***

In the back, Steven Richards says he will also censor the gratuitously violent and there is no reason for a table to be involved in a wrestling match, ever.

In the back, Triple H tells Foley he wants Jericho. Foley says he can have a handicap elimination match tonight, and if he wins, he has Jericho on Monday. If not, he waits until Fully Loaded. Triple H accepts.

Match #3: Dean Malenko vs. Jackie/Ivory
This happens. Dean bumping around for the womens is fun and all, but uh...why? Crash runs down to hold Dean's feet down in a cover, and he loses. FUCK EVERYTHING.
*1/4

Dean attacks Crash, but the women hit him with the LHW title, and lay it on Malenko.

Match #4: Rikishi [c] vs. Val Venis w/ Trish Stratus [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
This was not as epic as their KOTR match or brawls, as it was mostly Rikishi unloading on Val, and Val bumping and selling until shenanigans happened, and the match was only 3 minutes. The ref got taken out, and T & A interfered. Too Cool ran down to take them to the back, but then Tazz ran down and KO'd Rikishi with the camera. Val went up top, and hit the Money Shot as Tazz left. VAL WINS THE TITLE FUCK YEAH! YES! THAT MEANS THERE'LL BE AT LEAST ONE MORE MATCH TOO!
**1/4

In the back, all of Trish's men celebrate.

Match #5: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Big Bossman [WWF Hardcore Championship]
So yeah, awesome. Bossman brings the pain as usual, and Blackman does a lot of innovative and yet painful hardcore stuff inspired by karate fight scenes. Al Snow attacks BBM from the crowd at a point behind Steve's back, and then Blackman hits BBM with a kendo stick to retain.
**1/2

In the back, Taker sees his bike, and is PISSED.

Match #6: The Undertaker/Kane vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus
Awesome power vs. power tag. This is the night of weirdly great tag matches coming from match ups that should be squashes. Taker and Kane sell and bump really well for the other team to put them over, and Test actually steps up pretty big here in terms of offense. Albert is awesome as usual, and this is pretty much a big violent war with a lot of great shots. Kane pins Albert after a Chokeslam.
**3/4

Kane tries to Chokeslam Trish, but Val Venis hits Kane with the IC Title, and pulls Trish to safety.

Match #7: Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. Brooklyn Brawler/TAKA Michinoku/Sho Funaki [Elimination Match]
This is a ton of fun and a great angle. Triple H bumps around for a bit before eliminating KDX with Pedigrees. He and Earl get into it again and he shoves Earl down. Jericho runs down and hits the Lionsault on TRIPLE H IN CLEAR VIEW OF HEBNER, AND HE COUNTS THE WIN FOR BRAWLER. Earl, you are an awful awful referee. Possibly the worst referee ever.
**

Triple H goes insane and beats the shit out of the jobbers.

In the parking lot, Jericho tells the limo driver that Triple H gave him the limo for the night, and Jericho leaves in H's limo. OH SHIT.

In the back, Eddie and Chyna cut a promo saying that there's a line you don't cross, and Benoit did that on Raw, and their friendship is over. Yeah, sure.

Match #8: The Rock/Eddie Guerrero/Chyna vs. Chris Benoit/Edge/Christian
It's Rock in Florida, so he's insanely over. The rudo beatdown and control segment on Eddie is awesome and the crowd is insane for the tag. Rock's hot tag was as great as usual, and the only real downside here is that it ends with Chyna pinning Christian with a Powerbomb, and that it was 4 minutes. Worth noting that Rock and Benoit never touched.
**3/4

Post-match, Rock and Benoit talk shit. Shane comes running down and attacks Rock. Rock chases him to the back, and the three rudos attack Eddie and Chyna. Benoit puts the Crossface back on Chyna, and Rock chases Shane back out. Edge and Christian eat Rock Bottoms, but Shane pulls Benoit away and up the ramp to end the show.

WWF Raw is War
July 10th, 2000
San Jose, CA

To open the show, JR says Commissioner Foley is away in Asia doing promotional work but had booked a number of matches for Raw and Smackdown before leaving.

Chris Benoit and Shane McMahon come down to open the show, and Shane gets on the mic. He says Benoit is the next WWF Champion and admires him, and how he goes after what he wants with this ruthlessness and this raw aggression, and he doesn't care who he hurts along the way. Kind of creepy in retrospect, but whatever. Chris Benoit challenges Rock tonight, and if he wins, he wants a title match at Fully Loaded. The Rock comes onto the stage and accepts and says to JUST. BRING. IT. Eddie Guerrero and Chyna run down, and run Shane and Benoit off with steel chairs.

Match #1: The Hardy Boyz vs. Too Cool vs. T & A [Elimination Match]
The whores were there. Really fun match. Lita and Trish have to be pulled apart before the match, and JR says that they have a street fight later. Lots of this match is Jerry's kid being awesome and throwing near Lawler-level punches and Test continuing to try hard. Albert and the Hardyz all ruled together as usual. Albert hit Jeff with the Baldo Bomb, and pulled Test on top while the ref was busy with Too Cool and Matt, and the brothers were eliminated. The Hardy and Albert and Lita and Trish had an awesome brawl on the floor, and Test got set up for the Worm, but TAZZ RAN IN! MOOD CHANGES, CHOKE YOU OUT, etc. Test then hits the Flying Elbow for the win as Tazz leaves.
***

In the back, Triple H and DX discuss how awful Foley's decisions are. I guess it's Dogg vs. Jericho, and X-Pac and Triple H cannot attack Jericho in the back or at ringside, otherwise H loses his match vs. Jericho. Triple H tells Road Dogg to destroy him.

In the back, Kevin Kelly tries to interview Tazz. He asks Kelly why he now wants to talk to him NOW, and then walks off.

Match #2: Chris Jericho vs. Road Dogg
This was actually awesome for 5 minutes. Road Dogg has period of not giving a fuck at all, so you figure he's past it, and then he pulls off stuff like this. Jericho takes an awesome beating from Road Dogg, who is his usual solid self. Dogg pulled out the MOTHERFUCKING ROAD DOGG MOONSAULT again, but it missed. Jericho then hit the Lionsault to barely win.
**3/4

In the back, Triple H is livid and throws a lamp as X-Pac tries to calm him down.

The Undertaker arrives and drives his bike through the backstage hallway. He's learned not to park it next to catering though, so that's smart.

In the back, Triple H shoves Road Dogg and yells at him and says he didn't get the job done. X-Pac tries to be the voice of reason and says they're all together. H says he thought so too, and storms off. Because clearly, Road Dogg is secretly trying to destroy him. USURPER.

The Undertaker comes out, and says Kurt Angle is no American Hero, and says he doesn't accept Kurt's apology, and Kurt's not gonna hide from him anymore and will feel an asskicking, old school style. He calls out Kurt tonight. Kurt comes out and says the people don't deserve this match, and it should be on PPV if anything, but nobody wants to see them fight anyways. He brings the Undertaker a gift of a gas-friendly scooter, and rides it around the ring. Taker says he'll kick Angle's teeth so far down his throat that he can chew his own ass out for pissing him off so much. Taker chases Angle to the stage, and Angle leaves the scooter there. Taker then shoves the scooter off the stage.

Match #3: Val Venis [c] vs. Rikishi vs. Kane [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
VAL HAS A HAIRCUT! IT'S ALMOST OVER. :( This is pretty fun, since Rikishi or Val is either bumping for Kane in their usual fun way, or continuing their great chemistry. Val ends up hitting Rikishi with the title belt for the DQ. This also got 5 minutes, so it seems we're finally near that great point where they have shows laid out to maximize both angles AND matches. Really feels like a no-brainer, but aside from like WWF 2000-1, Smackdown 2002-3, 2006, and 2009, it seems they can never get a handle on that.
**1/2

Post-match, Val eats a Chokeslam for his insolence.

In the back, Stephanie finds Triple H, and he says he has a foolproof idea for her.

Stephanie comes out and calls out Chris Jericho to make up and says they've both said a lot of mean and hurtful things about each other, and says she'll make it worth his while. She says she liked the kiss at KOTR and wants it again. SLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT. Jericho appears on the tron and confesses his love for her and says he'll be right out! His music plays, and DX and Triple H come out to wait on the stage on the sides to sneak attack him. Jericho comes back on the tron, and asks how dumb they think he is, and laughs. Triple H throws another fit on the stage.

In the back, Edge and Christian get interviewed before their tag title match. Christian says he has the sniffles big time, so he suggests Edge vs. an Acolyte in a singles match instead of a tag title match. Edge agrees, and SINGLES MATCHES RULE! Then they high five

In the back, DX tries to calm Triple H down, and he yells at them. He shoves X-Pac and challenges him to a match. YEAH!

Match #4: Edge vs. Bradshaw
Both partners are at ringside. Edge gets the shit beaten out of him all match, and it rules. Christian and Faarooq get into it, and the ref is distracted. Christian gets the ring bell in, but B-Shaw KILLS him on a Clothesline From hell. Edge then gets the bell and uses it to pin Bradshaw.
**

In the back, the Hardy Boyz pump up Lita and she commences the WALK~.

In the back, T & A and Val tell Trish that they've been banned from ringside tonight, but give her advice in her ear. They are all clearly just looking down her shirt. Fair enough.

In the back, Road Dogg tries to talk X-Pac down, but Pac says he's not gonna let Triple H treat them like shit. Dogg says he'll regret this.

The Trish/Lita fight happens and no bell ever rings and it's a minute, so I'm not saying it's a match. They do stuff, and Lita begins to strip Trish, but Steven Richards comes down and covers her up, and says he has decided this is not fit to air, as it is very unacceptable.

In the back, Road Dogg tries to talk to Triple H, who tells him to never question him. Triple H refuses to back down, and Road Dogg walks out of the building and says he won't have anything to do with this

Match #5: Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. X-Pac
They have an awesome 2 minute match in street clothes. X-Pac and Triple H both take some big bumps for each other to get it over, before Jericho runs down and attacks Triple H on the floor for the DQ.
**

X-Pac goes to the floor, AND ROAD DOGG WALKS DOWN WITH A SLEDGEHAMMER! Jericho's all like "...fuck" and his face just fucking sinks in a fantastic way. He hits Road Dogg first and tries to get the hammer, but Triple H JUUUUUUUST cuts him off before he can, and they roll him in. It becomes a 3 on 1 now. He gets hit with the X Factor and Pedigree in the ring, and Triple H hits him in the gut with the hammer. Stephanie slaps him, and Triple H hits him with the hammer again in the face. Fantastic angle.

In the back, Jericho is loaded into an ambulance as DX watches. H and Pac agree that beating each other up was worth it. If this was all a set up, then why did they work such a hard match?

Match #6: The Rock vs. Chris Benoit w/ Shane McMahon
They have an awesome 5 minute match with the usual high notes. Shane punched out Hebner at a point, and revealed a referee shirt under his shirt. Rock got distracted, and Benoit put him down into the Crossface. Rock reached for the ropes, but his hand missed and he tapped the mat, so Shane claimed he tapped, and rung the bell. Good match, if clearly short and holding back. These two can do no wrong opposite each other.
**3/4

It's now Benoit/Rock for the title at Fully Loaded, and Shane raises Benoit's arm to end the show. Earl Hebner comes out and reverses the decision because of Shane inventing a submission, so Rock wins by DQ. Really Earl? You're going to tell us you can't call the bell without a submission? Fuck you.

Oakland, CA

Match #1: Rikishi/Too Cool vs. Val Venis/T & A w/ Trish Stratus[/b]
THIS GETS 6 MINUTES! YEAH! Val & T&A make an awesome violent heel trio, and S2H was shockingly good in being worked over all match. The crowd was again, super retardedly hot. The finishing run of the faces cleaning shit up ruled, and then the Hardy Boyz and Lita ran down to attack T & A and Trish. This left Val in a 3 on 1, and he got pinned after the Bonzai Drop.
***

In the ring, the Hardyz and Lita dance with Too Cool & Rikishi.

Triple H & Stephanie come down to the ring, and H has the sledgehammer with him. H complains that even from 10,000 miles away, Mick is missing with him, because he's booked him in a No DQ match vs. The Undertaker, but he's always been a step ahead of Mick Foley. He runs down everything that happened on Raw, and that takes a long time. He says if Jericho can drag himself up for Fully Loaded, he's going to finish what he started, and says he's no longer playing.

Match #2: The Hardy Boyz w/ Lita vs. X-Pac/Road Dogg
DX TRIES, SO THIS IS AWESOME! X-Pac takes gigantic bumps, and the Hardy Boyz are the Hardys. The Hardyz had the win, but T & A and Val and Trish ran out. Trish choked Lita, and the three laid out Matt on the floor. Dogg then pushed Jeff off the top and into the X-Factor for the win.
***

A video on the Benoit/Rock feud airs.

Match #3: Dean Malenko vs. Al Snow
Al comes out with inflatable women on his arms to mock Dean's new ladies man status. They have a decent enough match, and then Steven Richards comes down and takes Dean's women and Al's blow up dolls to the back. BOO. Dean wins with the stupid inside cradle off a Superplex thing. Fuck that move.
**1/4

Steven says this is for everyone's own good, whether they like it or not.

Match #4: Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero/Chyna
This gets time, so it's great. Sort of a cheat code for greatness. Benoit and Eddie beat the shit out of each other and die for each other's offense, and it is wonderful as usual. So yeah, it was Benoit vs. Eddie for 6 minutes, and then Chyna began to get involved at the end. Shane McMahon ran down to even the odds, and that somehow is a villainous act. Benoit gets Eddie in the Crossface, and Eddie gets the ropes, but Benoit doesn't break, so the ref DQ's him.
***

Shane nails Chyna with the European Title on the floor. Earl Hebner pulls Benoit off, SO BENOIT PUTS HEBNER IN THE CROSSFACE YES YES YES FUCK YOU EARL! The Rock comes down for the save, and they bail. Edge and Christian try a sneak attack, but Edge eats a Spinebuster, and Christian is Rock Bottomed. Edge then also eats a Rock Bottom. Rock challenges Benoit to JUST. BRING. IT., but they leave up the ramp.

In the back, Kelly interviews The Rock. He says Chris Benoit has run and attacked him like a coward, and he's come to the conclusion that he's not the Rabid Wolverine, but what he is is the biggest chickenshit The Rock has ever seen! He says he WILL fight him at Fully Loaded for the WWF Title, not because he deserves it or because he earned it, but because he's made it personal. He says he's personally going to give him the beating of a lifetime, turn his boot sideways and stick it straight up his candy ass. IF YA SM -- BENOIT ATTACKS FROM BEHIND! BENOIT PUTS ON THE CROSSFACE! YEAH! Shane gets the mic and taunts him as Rock is in the hold and says Chris Benoit will be the next WWF Champion! Benoit finally gets pulled off.

During the break, Shane and Benoit left the building.

It's supposed to be APA vs. E&C for the titles, but Edge says Rock injured his back, so it's now a singles match.

Match #5: Christian vs. Faarooq
Tag partners are at ringside again. Pretty fun 2 minute match with Christian dying. Edge tried to sneak in with the bell, but B-Shaw took him out. Christian tried to use it, but Faarooq killed him with his epic Spinebuster for the win.
**

Edge's back is now re-injured on the floor. Fantastic.

The XFL now has a Vegas franchise!

In the back, Kurt complains to Stephanie about how unfair him fighting Kane is, and she says Foley is unfair. He demands a hug, and she is confused, but Kurt hugs her anyways. Triple H walks over, and Kurt bails and runs away. Stephanie says Kurt forced himself on her, and Triple H storms off after him.

Match #6: Kurt Angle vs. Kane
This is a match. Angle bumps around for Kane, before getting lucky and Kane hurting his knee. Then Angle goes to town on the knee, and Kane sells it pretty good. Angle is knocked to the floor, and Triple H finally comes down, because it took him 5 minutes to get to the ring and Kurt I guess. He throws Kurt into the steps and back into the ring and leaves. Kane then hits the Chokeslam to win.
**1/4

Match #7: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Crash Holly [WWF Hardcore Championship]

Blackman continues to be an amazing champion. They do a bunch of awesomely painful looking spots, and Crash tries to bring shenanigans and get lucky like he has for the last 4-5 months, but Blackman fucking destroys him with movie fight scene offense. He sits him on a chair, and kicks him backwards into a garbage can for the win.
**3/4

According to Cole, Foley has huge announcements about Fully Loaded on Raw.

Match #8: Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. The Undertaker [No Disqualification Match]
Good match. This is their best non-WrestleMania match easily, as the stip allows them to work a gimmicked up brawl, which is where H excels. Taker's offense looks especially lethal, so H's fake Flair bumping looks warranted. Loses it a bit in the middle when H does a control seg that's like 90% stomps, but got good again at the end. Angle ran down and grabbed the sledgehammer. He tried to hit H, but he ducks, and Angle accidentally KO's Taker with it! Angle leaves and yells that he's going to die now. H covers to win.
**3/4

Kurt leaves in fear, and Stephanie helps up H to end the show.

July 17th, 2000
Albany, NY

Commissioner Mick Foley comes out to open the show, and he gets on the mic. He said he talked to Jericho, who isn't here, and H/Jericho is now a LAST MAN STANDING MATCH~! The Undertaker comes out with Kane, and demands Kurt Angle tonight. Angle shows up on the Tron, and apologizes for SD. Foley then books the brothers vs. Kurt/Triple H. H shows up on the other side of a split-screen tron. He calls Angle a twerp and says if he doesn't hold up his end tonight, he'll beat the shit out of him. The Rock then comes out to the ring. He demands Benoit, and then Benoit, E & C, and Shane get to the stage. Foley books Rock/APA vs. Benoit/E & C, and Rock and Benoit brawl on the floor and must be broken up.

Match #1: The Hardy Boyz w/ Lita vs. The Dudley Boyz
They throw everything at each other for 3 minutes and it's fun. The Dudleyz set up a table on the floor, but Steven Richards carries it away. The Hardyz then set up a ladder, and dive off it to the Dudz on the floor! With everyone down, T & A and Trish run down to attack for the DQ.
**1/2

They put Lita on a table in the ring, and Trish climbs up the ladder. T & A get pulled out, and Lita climbs up. They fight, but Trish shoves Lita off the top through the table!

The Godfather came out with ho's, but Steven Richards again came down, AND HE HAD BULL BUCHANAN WITH HIM FUCK! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Bull killed Godfather, and Steven took the ho's to the back. I still like the gimmick and shit, but

In the back, Godfather says he'll show them both just how hard pimping really is.

Match #2: Too Cool vs. X-Pac/Road Dogg
This also ruled for the 3 minutes it lot. Goddamnit, I cursed it. Super duper hot crowd, and S2H again was a very solid face in peril. The finishing run was really really well put together, BUT WHY DID DX WIN?! Jesus christ, I do not get why they keep winning over insanely over babyface teams.
**1/2

In the back, Shane pumps up his team.

Match #3: The Rock/The Acolytes vs. Chris Benoit/Edge/Christian w/ Shane McMahon
Wait a fucking minute, why isn't this the main event? Oh, it becomes clear during the match. Nevermind. They have a fun match, but it's more building the tag title match than Benoit/Rock being in a lot. Which is fine and good, but the match would have been way more awesome with the two best wrestlers in the fed in there more often. Rock and Benoit finally fight on the floor, and Benoit KO's Rock with a chair. He hits Faarooq in the back with the chair off the ropes, and Edge hits a DDT to win.
**3/4

In the back, The Rock runs into the Team Shane dressing room and NAILS Benoit with a chair! He fights off Edge and Christian, but Benoit has left the locker room when Rock is done with them. He goes to the hallways, and Shane is helping a bloody Benoit away, but Rock goes after him! He beats on Benoit, and refs pull him back. Rock goes and gets the chair and chases after him. Benoit and Shane are yelling at the driver to start the car, but Rock nails him in the face with the chair. ROCK HITS THE ROCK BOTTOM ON THE HOOD OF THE LIMO! DIS FEUD. YEAH. Shane pulls Benoit into the limo and they drive away and Rock throws refs to the side.

Dean Malenko comes out with his wimminz~, and calls out Jackie and Ivory for a match for his title. Chyna and Eddie come out, and Chyna says they aren't here, but she is!

Match #4: Dean Malenko vs. Chyna w/ Eddie Guerrero
They do pretty much nothing until Perry Saturn runs down and beats the shit out of Eddie. He hits a Falcon Arrow on the ramp, and leaves. Chyna goes to check on Eddie and is counted out. Stupid bitch.
*1/2

In the back, Triple H says he doesn't like Kurt Angle, and they will never do anything together, and Kurt will stand in the corner and follow orders.

Tazz comes out and says until someone can make him give answers THE PATH OF RAGE~ will continue. Foley comes out and says he can't do this, and Al Snow comes out. He demands a match at Fully Loaded with Tazz so he can show him true misery...and he doesn't mean teaming with Blackman for 7 months! Tazz chokes Al out from behind and leaves, and Foley books the match.

In the back, Stephanie is asked about Kurt and H and says her only prediction is that they win, and she leaves.

Match #5: Rikishi vs. Test w/ Trish Stratus
This is 2 minutes of Test killing Rikishi, and it's pretty good. Rikishi wins with the Samoan Drop.
*3/4

Post-match, Albert and Val run in and it's a 3 on 1. They hold Rikishi up on the floor, and Val throws the steps into his face. They brawl up to the stage, AND VAL THROWS SCOTTY OFF THE STAGE RIGHT ONTO THE FLOOR FUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

In the back, Kurt and H talk. Kurt asks H if he wants to shake hands or hug, and H walks off all pissy.

Match #6: The Undertaker/Kane vs. Triple H/Kurt Angle w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley
This happened. Not bad or good, but it happened. Taker chased Angle off to the back, AND BAH GAWD CHRIS JERICHO IS HERE. Triple H is distracted by refs holding Y2J back and Kane Chokeslams him to win.
**1/4

Jericho comes down with his ribs taped and punches at H. He bails, and refs try to break it up, but Jericho runs and HITS A MASSIVE PLANCHA TO H ON THE FLOOR! They brawl to end the show.

WWF Smackdown
July 20th, 2000
Long Island, NY

Commish Mick Foley comes out, and gets a huge hometown pop. He says the brutality has to end, and makes a stipulation for Rock vs Benoit that the title can change hands a on DQ, and Chris Jericho comes out. He says he wants some of Triple H TONIGHT, and Benoit and Shane comes out. They talk to Jericho and Benoit says to stop being an idiot and save it for Fully Loaded before he kills himself, and Triple H comes down. Jericho looks at him and Benoit puts on the Crossface! Shane holds back Mick, and Benoit does the same. H comes in and Pedigree's Jericho, and The Rock runs down to save. Foley books Rock and Jericho vs. Benoit and Triple H.

Match #1: Eddie Guerrero [c] w/ Chyna vs. Perry Saturn w/ Terri vs. Dean Malenko [WWF European Championship]
It's the three of them for 4 minutes or so, so you get a lot of cool spots and counters. Eddie rolled up Dean to win after interference by Chyna.
**1/2

Post-match, Saturn lays out Eddie and Chyna.

In the local bar, Edge and Christian say they could outdrink the APA.

In the APA office, Just Joe barges in. They don't let him talk until he goes back and uses the door, but then he forgets to knock, so they kick him out for not knocking. He goes back out and knocks on the door, but they tell him to go away. AMAZING.

Kurt Angle comes down and says he's no longer scared of a man on a bike, and calls out Kane for a match, and says Taker is next.

Match #2: Kurt Angle vs. Kane
This happens. It's mostly Kurt working the knee with increasing intensity, until he hits Kane's knee with a chair for the DQ.
*3/4

Kurt keeps hitting Kane's knee with a chair until he can't stand.

In the back, a stagehand asks Triple H for an autograph. He angrily does it, and then yells at the guy when he asks if he can get him Rock's autograph. I habe

XFL VIGNETTE~ Dick Butkus signed to be the coach of the CHICAGO ENFORCERS! FUCK YEAH! I think I still have an Enforcers pennant in an attic somewhere.

Match #3: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Al Snow [WWF Hardcore Championship]
HEAD CHEESE EXPLODES! They have a very fun hardcore match with a lot of brutal and yet innovative stuff. Crash Holly gets involved at a point, but Blackman kills him. Snow hits Blackman with a monitor on the floor, and Tazz runs down. He chokes out Al, and leaves, and Blackman covers.
***

In the back, Triple H apologizes to the stagehand, and says he can maybe get him Rock's autograph. He tells H it's for his son, who idolizes Rock. He tells him to go get his son, and he'll see what he can do.

Match #4: Rikishi/The Hardy Boyz vs. Val Venis/T & A w/ Trish Stratus
This was really really fun. It's mostly Val and Albert in there, and them beating the total shit out of Jeff was fantastic, and Jeff was a fantastic face in peril as always. Cole strikes again, naming the move Poetry in Motion as we know it today. Rikishi and Val brawl away and it's typically gteat. Test covers Matt, but Jeff hits the Swanton, and Matt rolls on top to win.
***

T & A beats them down, and Lita runs down to save! Albert catches her and throws her down, and Trish pulls Lita's shirt up to show the bruises from Raw. She then whips the shit out of Lita's injured and exposed back with a leather belt. This feud is awesome.

In the back, the stagehand and his kid are getting Rock's autograph in a room, and Benoit and Shane come in. The civilians run away, and Benoit attacks. He puts the Crossface on, and Triple H walks in and watches. He keeps the hold on until officials come in and pull him off. Rock is hurt now. Decent angle idea, creative for sure, but it never really clicked.

Steven Richards and Bull Buchanan come out, and Steven says Bull also values morality and that actions have consequences. Steven says without rules, there would be chaos, and this is for our own good. That seems mostly fair. The Godfather comes out with hos, and calls the two men un-American. Well that's not really true, but ok.

Match #5: The Godfather w/ Hos vs. Bull Buchanan w/ Steven Richards
This sucked a dick. Godfather ate the Steven Kick, and then Bull hit the Scissors Kick to win.
1/4*

In the APA Office, Just Joe comes back in, and tells them E & C are at a bar talking shit. Bradshaw hurls beer cans at him until he leaves. He then discovers they're low on beer. They say that they hear there's a bar around here, and they might even run into someone they know. <3 APA.

Match #6: The Undertaker vs. Big Bossman
Kurt Angle comes out to watch. After under a minute or so, Kurt comes down with a bucket of something and pours it on Taker's bike. Smoke comes out, and it might be paint. It could be acid. It could be semen. It could be David Von Erich. Anyways, Taker then chases Kurt to the back on foot, ending the match.
1/2*

In the back, Taker looks for Kurt, but he attacks him from behind with a wrench. He beats the shit out of Taker's knee with the wrench, before Kane hobbles over, and Kurt runs away.

At the bar, APA beat up locals, and ask for E & C. The barkeep says they left 5 minutes ago. APA leave and say they'll get them in Texas on PPV for Bradshaw's homecoming. They walk off, and Edge and Christian come from behind the fence and beat up the APA with 2x4s and then drive away.

Match #7: The Rock/Chris Jericho vs. Triple H/Chris Benoit w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley & Shane McMahon
This is pretty awesome. Less in-ring awesome then the April version of this match, but this also ruled because it's these four in 2000 and that's foolproof. Credit to them for making it 100% different than three months prior too. Total insane brawl to begin, and then the rudos tore up Jericho's bad ribs. They kept blocking Rock from the tag, until he got fed up and came in anyways. He cleaned house, and Hebner tried to get him back to the corner, so he decked that fuck Earl for the DQ.
***

Rock keeps it up, and H tries to use a chair, but Jericho stops him. He puts on the Liontamer, and ROCK PUTS BENOIT IN THE CROSSFACE BAH GAWD KING ROCK HAS SNAPPED ROCK HAS SNAPPED WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR FULLY LOADED BAH GAWD KING

WWF FULLY LOADED 2000
JULY 23RD, 2000
DALLAS, TX

Match #1: The Hardy Boyz/Lita vs. T & A/Trish Stratus

SUP TRISH. So yeah, really great intergender match. T&A vs. Hardys did like 95% of the work and that's a great pairing. They got 13 minutes between the six of them, and as predicted, that pairing finally puts out a great match with time. Jeff has several fantastic hope spots and they build up the women finally fighting each other very well. Lita hits a Superplex on Trish at the end, and then wins with a Moonsault.
***

Test and Albert attack post-match, and Trish begins to whip Lita again, before The Hardy Boyz get back in and run them off.

In the back, Edge goes into Commissioner Foley's office, and says there's a problem, and Christian is sick again. Foley laughs and says no, and calls them fraidy cats for not wanting to defend the titles. Edge says he has his gear and is ready to go, but he has bad food poisoning. Foley rolls his eyes and says he'll get the doctor to look him over.

In the back, The Undertaker chases Kurt Angle around on his bike.

Match #2: Tazz vs. Al Snow
This whole thing feels like the start of Tazz being done right, at least until he feuds with Lawler. Still though, it's a fine showcase for Tazz. Al does some decent stuff, and Tazz throws him around. Tazz wins with the Tazzmission.
**1/4

In the back, the doctor and Mick check out Christian, who sounds like he's vomiting. Christian claims he wants to defend, but the doc says no. Mick apologizes for doubting them, and Christian goes back to the stall to vomit more.

In the back, a bunch of flowers are delivered to Stephanie, and she hugs and kisses Triple H and thanks him. He says they're not from him, and asks who got them. She says she assumed who they were from so she didn't check. Triple H reads the card, and it says, "Best of luck to you and your man tonight. It's true, it's true." H is upset, and Steph says she doesn't know anything about this.

Before the bell for the next match, Chyna chases Terri to the back.

Match #3: Eddie Guerrero [c] w/ Chyna vs. Perry Saturn [WWF European Championship]
They get time (eight minutes), so it was good. Took a little too long to get going and lacked a certain something to be great, but there wasn't anything that struck me as outright bad about it. Chyna keeps taking cheap shots with no provocation, because she's the worst. Saturn finally just fucking decks her, and then Terri runs back out to low blow Eddie. Saturn throws him into the post and hits a Flying Elbow for the win and the title!
**3/4

In the back, Mick Foley goes to check on Christian and peeks over the stall to find him pouring stuff in the toilet and faking. Foley says they get an A for effort, and the match is back on!

In the back, Taker tries to cut a promo with Cole, but he sees Angle around his bike and trying to ride it on the monitor. He finds Kurt and chases him through the building. SHIT NIGGER, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

Edge and Christian come out to the ring and get on the mic. Christian says despite what everybody believes, he is sick. Sick of being in Dallas! Edge shits on the sports teams before handing the mic back to Christian. He says it doesn't matter how JFK died, because if he spent one more minute in Dallas, he would have killed himself anyways.

Match #4: Edge & Christian [c] vs. The Acolytes [WWF Tag Team Championship]
This was a match. Edge and Christian bumped around well for about five minutes before using the tag titles to save the belts on a DQ.
**1/4

The Acolytes chase the champions to the back.

Meanwhile in the back, Kurt Angle is still being chased by Taker. He manages to quickly run around some set pieces, and he again hits Taker in the knee with a wrench.

Match #5: Val Venis [c] w/ Trish Stratus vs. Rikishi [WWF Intercontinental Championship - Steel Cage Match]
Awesome awesome awesome match. I'm glad this is on the Attitude Era DVD so other people can now maybe see how great this is. Both men take some incredible bumps and the cage spots rule, and they add in a few layers of psychology too, between Val constantly trying to leave and Rikishi's size weighing him down. They were smart about the spots escalating throughout the match until the TOTALLY FUCKING INSANE SPLASH OFF THE CAGE BY RIKISHI. JESUS CHRIST. Only things holding this back from being an all-time classic are a lack of blood for the way this was worked (fat asskicker vs. coward heel) apart from the accidental eyebrow cut and a better finish. Also that neither turned into a real breakout star or all time great means people don't look back on it like they should, but whatever. Anyways, Taz runs out and hits Rikishi with a camera through the door, and Val crawls to a cover to retain.
***1/2

In the back, H sees the flower delivery guy, and he makes him point out where the guy delivering the flowers is. He finds out and goes into the room, but it's Jericho, and he jumps and beats down Triple H before leaving. Great angle idea, but there's no reason to do it on the PPV and not before.

Shane McMahon comes down, and gets on the mic. He calls out The Rock for a non-title match now, and Rock comes out. He asks where Benoit is so they can spring the trap, and Benoit shows up on the tron, and he's in Rock's locker room, tearing up his clothes and shit. Rock runs to the back after him, and Benoit leaves. Awesome angle to play into the DQ stip.

Match #6: The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle
Decent little match, but entirely useless too. Taker has his bad knee worked on for like 90% of the match, and Kurt's work is solid. Then the match just sort of goes the other way, as Taker entirely ignores the knee work and does his stuff, because it's time for the match to be over. He wins with the Last Ride. This did nothing for anyone involved.
**1/2

Hype video for Jericho/H.

Match #7: Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. Chris Jericho [Last Man Standing Match]
Great match, but also a flawed one, let's be honest. They've had some of the best angles against the year as their hate has escalated, so naturally, they begin by working holds methodically. They don't get into the kind of HATE~ this match should have for some time, and work over Jericho's taped up ribs. He only kind of sells in the first half too. You're thinking this is going to be hugely disappointing, AND THEN THE SECOND HALF IS FUCKING INCREDIBLE! Jericho starts selling like a motherfucker, Triple H gets increasingly mad at his refusal to stay down, and they have a killer finishing run. Triple H hits a Back Suplex off the timekeeper's table through the announce table and barely gets up at 9 to win.
***1/4

Both men get helped to the back.

Hype video for the main event.

Match #8: The Rock [c] vs. Chris Benoit w/ Shane McMahon [WWF Championship - Title Can Change Hands on DQ]
Killer fucking great match. They get 22 minutes on PPV, and they completely knock it out of the park. The Rock comes in super angry after the last several weeks and what happened earlier tonight. Benoit doesn't fight back really, but it turns out he's letting Rock punch himself out almost, as he starts to get a little worn out, and Benoit THEN explodes on him, which is just psychologically the best strategy ever. Both men take beautifully horrifying bumps, and they'd explode every few minutes and then sell the effects of the explosion of hate. As a result, the match becomes this war of attrition, and it's awesome, and really a fantastic mixture of everything both men do well into something very different. This is how Jericho/H should have been done, but oh well. Shane hit the ref with a chair from behind and framed Rock with it, and Rock is DQ'd AND FUCK YEAH BENOIT WINS THE TITLE! YEAH! AWESOME! Commissioner Foley then comes out to restart it. They have a nice 3 minutes there, and Rock hits the Rock Bottom to win.

WWF Raw is War
July 24th, 2000
Austin, TX

Commissioner Foley comes down to the ring, and gets on the mic. He puts over Fully Loaded as an amazing show and the first show under his regime, and says Kurt Angle wanted a rematch, so it's Angle vs. Taker again tonight. He says he thinks he made the right call in Rock vs. Benoit, and Chris Benoit and Shane McMahon come out. Shane says the ref's decision is always final, and Mick says things change and he wants to set a new precedent. Benoit demands Rock for the title tonight. Mick says he'll take it under advisement, and Stephanie comes down. She says Triple H deserves the #1 Contender spot more after the Last Man Standing match, and that Mick cannot overturn a ref's decision. He says he once found her attractive for 2.5 seconds after a head injury but he agrees with Y2J's assessment. Stephanie slaps him, so Foley says that it's Shane and Stephanie vs. opponents of his choosing tonight, and if Benoit or Triple H are involved, all four are fired.

Match #1: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Road Dogg w/ X-Pac [WWF Hardcore Championship]
X-Pac does commentary. Once again, Blackman produces an amazing singles match for the belt. Pac keeps hyping he and Dogg's competitive rivalry over who the better singles guy is. Blackman wins with a Bicycle Kick into a chair that Dogg was holding. Post-match, Pac says he'll beat Blackman for the title on Smokdawn.
**3/4

In the back, Stephanie explains everything to H, and he says he's not in a good mood after LMS, and rants about shit. He demands to know who the flowers are from, and she says to read the card. He says it's probably another set-up like Fully Loaded, and he hurls the flowers. She says they were from her, and walks off crying for the match. You are an awful husband.

Shane and Stephanie come down, and the opponents are LITA AND THE BIG SHOW BAH GAWD KING THE BIG SHOW IS BACK THE BIG SHOW IS BACK! He chases Shane to the back, and Lita beats up Steph, before Trish runs down with a weightlifting belt. She and Stephanie whip the shit out of Lita, and leave Lita down in the ring.

In the back, Big Show is looking for Shane.

Match #3: The Godfather w/ Hos vs. Bull Buchanan w/ Steven Richards [Right to Pimp vs. Right to Censor]
If Godfather wins, the RTC is dead. If he loses, he can no longer pimp. This is still Godfather vs. Bull for 5 minutes, so it suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. Steven hits a Stevenkick one a young Victoria as a ho, and the ref is distracted on the floor. Steven KO's Godfather with a chair then and Bull hits a Flying Legdrop to win. No more hos. Oh well, it's been coasting for the last year at this point.
1/2*

In the parking lot, Big Show is still chasing Shane.

JR announces a Lita vs. Trish leather strap match for later tonight.

Match #4: Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker
They fought for a minute or so, before Big Show chased Shane down to ringside and into the ring, ending the match.
34/Fart

Taker has Shane set for a Chokeslam, but Show attacks Taker! BIG SHOW AND SHANE AND KURT BAH GAWD KING IT WAS A SET UP. they all beat up Taker, and Show lays him out with a Chokeslam.

In the back, Cole tries to ask Taker how he feels, but Shane, Show, and Kurt attack again. They beat him with trashcans, and Show bashes the knee with a lead pipe, and Shane breaks a cinderblock over Taker's knee, before they leave. I love this stable.

Chris Jericho comes out and says he's not done with Triple H. H shows up on the tron and says Jericho proved how tough he he was, but he proved that he's just BETTER, and he doesn't feel like it. Jericho then walks up the ramp and to the back, and he and Triple H brawl in Triple H's locker room, before they get pulled apart.

In the parking lot, Shane and Show leave, and Shane informs us that Benoit/Rock is on for the WWF Title, and tells Kurt to stay with Benoit.

Match #5: Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Tazz
This really just sounds awful. It was very much not good either, and Tazz won with the IM GONNA CHOKE YOU OUT.
*3/4

Rikishi runs down and cleans house on Tazz until he bails.

In the commissioner's office, Edge and Christian talk to Foley. They says DQs totally rule, and he then books them in a three way match vs. Dudleyz vs. Hardyz, since he couldn't decide on a proper title match. They leave, and Kane storms in. He wrecks the place and demands Kurt, Shane, or Show.

In the back, Foley finds Angle, and changes the main event to Rock/Kane vs. Benoit/Angle.

Match #6: Edge/Christian [c] vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz [WWF Tag Team Championship]
Awesome 4 minute sprint of moves and double teams and shit and what you want from this match. The 3D is hit on Edge, but Matt hits Bubba with a flying Legdrop. Christian throws Matt and D-Von out and rolls Edge on top of Bubba to retain.
**3/4

In the back, Benoit tell Kurt that he'll take care of Rock and Kurt can take care of Kane.

Match #7: Lita vs. Trish Stratus [Leather Strap Match]
This was good or what it was. Lita whipped Trish up, but the ref accidentally ate a shot. Stephanie ran down and KO'd Lita with the women's title to return the favor, and Trish covered to win.
3/4*

Match #8: The Rock/Kane vs. Chris Benoit/Kurt Angle

Kane finally backs into an awesome match, due to the insane crowd heat amplifying everything and the other three being awesome. Rock and Benoit had their usual Jesus chemistry, and Rock/Angle was good as usual. Kane's knee got worked over in brutal fashion. Benoit seems to teach Kurt a lot about limbwork here, as Kurt tries new shit. God's Team isn't quite as great as their Smackdown run in 2002, but that's only because Kurt doesn't go from good to great until his WWF Title run. They still work super well together and by the time Rock did get the hot tag, the crowd was beyond hot, and Rock's hot tag was even better than usual as a result. Kane chased Angle up the ramp, but BIG SHOW AND SHANE ARE BACK AND THEY KILLED KANE! Shane runs down and Rock attacks him on the ramp. Angle then nails Rock from behind with a chair, and the match has pretty much stopped since none of these goddamn officials understand rules tonight.
***

They all beat down on The Rock, and JR keeps calling the group The Conspiracy. I like it.

WWF Smackdown
July 27th, 2000
San Antonio, TX

Match #1: Steve Blackman [c] vs. X-Pac w/ Road Dogg [WWF Hardcore Championship]

Road Dogg does commentary in a reversal of Monday. Blackman continues to be the master of insanely brutal looking hardcore match innovation. Example being that he tosses Pac up into the air with a flapjack, and hits him in the back of the head with a garbage can lid on the way down. This is 5 to 6 minutes and just totally awesome. X-Pac adapts to the karate movie fight style of Blackman super well. Blackman blocks the Bronco Buster with a garbage can, and then murders Pac with a kendo stick over the head to retain.
***

Post-match, DX lays out Blackman and poses.

In the back, The Rock is upset and Foley is listening. However, we can't hear shit because it's a bumper scene with the SD music playing over it.

Commissioner Foley comes down to the ring. He says he's pissed at what happened on Raw and at this Conspiracy and he's not happy with Shane McMahon, Chris Benoit, The Big Show, or Kurt Angle, and he's especially not happy about being made a fool of. He books The Rock vs. Kurt Angle tonight, and then also books Triple H and Trish Stratus vs. Chris Jericho and Lita, and lastly Edge & Christian/The Big Show vs. The Dudley Boyz/Kane in a TABLES MATCH BAH GAWD! The Big Show and Shane McMahon come down now, and Show says when he tried to make the people laugh, he was a failure, and he realizes that Shane and Kurt Angle were trying to help him, and he's going to help them in return.

In the back, Stephanie and Triple H find more flowers, and H is mad. Stephanie reads the card and finds out they're from him this time, and he was faking mad, so they make out.

Match #2: The Hardy Boyz vs. Lo Down
This ruled. LO DOWN IS A SECRETLY AWESOME TAG TEAM! YEAH! Super hot crowd for everything, and the Hardyz were on their game as much as ever. Typically great showing from them. Lo Down brought a lot to their beatdown and Chaz continued to try hard, and D'Lo was outstanding. They hit Chaz with the Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb to win the match.
***

Post-match, Lo Down lays out the Hardyz. This is stupid, as it goes nowhere, I believe. It's quite amazing that the Hardys got as big as they did with the booking almost never in their favor.

In the back, Triple H is now pissed about the match after presumably finding out about it and says Trish knows nothing about wrestling. He says that her, Trish, all the women who don't belong in the ring lately is...something, because Stephanie says she's known wrestling her whole life and doesn't belong in the same sentence with them. He says it's not what he meant, and she leaves in a huff.

In the back, Trish comes into the locker room and tells Triple G they have to make the best of it, and asks him to show her some holds. He agrees, and asks if she knows anything, and she shrugs. He is annoyed, but says he can teach her some basic things so he doesn't embarrass him.

Match #3: Tazz vs. Grandmaster Sexay
This is alright. Better than Monday since Sexay is better than his partner. Sexay brings his usual good selling and energy though. Tazz gets the Tazzmission on, but Scotty 2 Hotty runs in for the DQ, because a 2 on 1 is a babyface move.
**

They clean house on Tazz, and hit the Hip Hop Drop and The Worm.

In the back, H shows Trish a hammerlock. He shows her a reversal where she bends down in it, AND STEPHANIE WALKS IN RIGHT AS TRISH IS BENT DOWN AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH.

Posted Image

Stephanie freaks out and cries and throws shit. Typical female overreaction. His pants were on for fuck's sake. He throws a lamp, and storms out after her.

In the parking lot, Triple H throws his shit in a trunk and leaves to go after Stephanie. Road Dogg tries to get him to stay for the match, and Triple H says to hell with Foley's match and drives away.

Edge and Christian come down and this is the show with the epic foam cowboy hats.

Match #4: The Dudley Boyz/Kane vs. Edge & Christian/The Big Show w/ Shane McMahon [Table Match]
They work a normal formula trios match for some reason until, of all people, Kane realizes the logical folly there, and gets in without a tag to just wreck people. He and Show brawl on the floor, and Edge eats a 3D through the table.
**1/4

Post-match, they set another table up and try a 3D on Christian, but he bails. Show then kills the Dudleyz, and Kane tries to Chokeslam him through the table. Shane runs a distraction, and Show Chokeslams Kane through the table.

Steven Richards and Bull Buchanan come down, and Steven says they fought the good fight and won on Monday, and proved that pimping is not easy, but it is a crime. Steven then introduces...THE GOODFATHER! FUUUUUUUUUUUUU --The Goodfather is The Godfather in RTC outfit and he gives an awesome speech on how he did a disservice to America in pimping, because love is not for sale and is a privilege, not a commodity. This is an AWEEEEEESOME stable idea, it's just that Bull and God/Goodfather are both awful wrestlers, so the in-ring part fails.

In the back, Trish tries to flirt with Mick to get out of the match, but he assigns Benoit as her partner instead.

Match #5: Perry Saturn [c] w/ Terri vs. Crash Holly [WWF European Championship]
Really fun match for 3 minutes or so. Crash does a lot of high flying and smooth looking stuff based on his speed, and Saturn just hurls him all over. Terri trips Crash up off the ropes, and Saturn gets him with an inside cradle to retain the title.
**1/4

Post-match, Eddie Guerrero and Chyna run down and they clear Saturn from the ring.

Match #6: Chris Jericho/Lita vs. Chris Benoit/Trish Stratus w/ Shane McMahon
This was actually quite good. The Lita/Trish stuff was limited, and Lita took a great bump off the apron when Benoit hit her. She should be thankful she's still alive imo. Anyways, most of this was Benoit vs. Jericho, so it ruled. Benoit made Lita's Flying Headscissors look awesome, and Lita hit a really impactful looking plancha on Trish. Jericho then hit Benoit with the Lionsault to win.
**3/4

Benoit is very upset, and Shane whispers something in his ear.

In the back, Kurt Angle cuts an awesome promo about how two psychopath brothers trying to kill him being ok, but god forbid the man with the eyebrow get hit with a chair. He challenges Rock to come back down to earth tonight, and to defend the title against the true People's Champion.

In the back, Jericho cuts a promo saying maybe Benoit isn't the best technical wrestler, and Benoit and Shane attack from behind. Benoit fights him over to the loading door, and he drops the massive steel door down on Jericho's ribs, and then KILLS HIM WITH A CHAIR RIGHT TO THE FACE JESUS FUCK. That was insanely brutal for a backstage beatdown. I love Chris Benoit when he doesn't kill his family.

Match #7: The Rock [c] vs. Kurt Angle [WWF Championship]
They get it together after several matches and produce something great, now that Kurt's become very good in the last month or so. They did that thing they've been doing where with every match against each other, Angle gets more and more on The Rock and gets closer, in addition to Rock being angry as fuck after Raw. Benoit and Shane came down in the middle, and interfered a bit, and this was 8 minutes of good wrestling. Rock has his usual epic fiery comeback, and he takes out Shane and Benoit on the floor and in the ring. He gets a chair and nails Benoit, and then hits Angle with the chair for the DQ.
***

Rock beats Benoit up the ramp, and he hits a Spinebuster on the steel ramp. In the ring, Angle holds up the WWF Title, until Rock beats him out of the ring and reclaims his belt to end the show.

WWF Raw is War
July 31st, 2000
The Georgia Dome
Atlanta, GA

In the parking lot, Triple H arrives, but arrives alone.

Earlier tonight, Blackman was ranting to someone on how he doesn't need a tag partner to fight DX and he doesn't want their help tonight. The camera pans over, and it's Al Snow singing REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOOOOOOD! FUCK YEAH HEAD CHEESE.

Match #1: Steve Blackman/Al Snow vs. X-Pac/Road Dogg [Hardcore Match]
Holy fuck, this was awesome. So much brutal shit here, and they also managed to tell the story of DX keeping it a 2 on 1 so they had the advantage in an un-friendly environment, where as when it was 2 on 2, HEAD CHEESE~~ had the advantage. Snow accidentally hit Blackman with a trashcan lid, and Pac hit the X-Factor on a chair for the win.
***

In the parking lot, Stephanie arrives.

Triple H comes down to the ring now with several red roses, and he gets on the mic. He admits he made a big mistake on SD, and Stephanie comes out. She asks how he would feel if she was bent over in front of some guy - or Kurt Angle. H dislikes that a lot. H says he's sorry and there's nothing with him and Trish and they make up, and out. Foley comes out and says this is disgusting. He yells at H for leaving on SD, and fines him $5,000 and threatens to fire him if he walks out again. He then books H/Steph vs. Rock/Lita for tonight.

Earlier today, the hos protested outside. SAVE THE HOS! SAVE THE HOS!

Edge and Christian come down and shiit on the Braves for being the Yankees' bitches and their pose involved Christian in a Braves jersey cowering before Edge in a Yankees jersey.

Match #2: Edge/Christian [c] vs. The Hardy Boyz w/ Lita [WWF Tag Team Championship]
They got the best they're going to get out of four and a half minutes here. They hit Edge with the Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb, but Christian pulled the ref out and punched him for a cheap DQ.
**3/4

Post-match, Edge and Christian nail them with chairs, and Jeff DIES on a Conchairto.

In the back, Foley tells Shane and his guys that it's Kane vs. Big Show and Angle/Benoit vs. Dudleyz tonight.

In the back, Trish comes to Triple H and Stephanie's locker room and apologizes for SD. Stephanie accepts her apology, and right after she leaves, Stephanie calls her a fake conniving bitch. Triple H is confused because lolwomen. She says Trish looked at Triple H with certain intentions, and she didn't like the way he looked at her either. He's just like "wait...what?" because she's insane.

In the back, Edge and Christian cut a promo bragging about it and naming it the Conchairto, but Matt Hardy attacks them. It almost turns into a 2 on 1, but officials break it up.

Match #3: Chris Benoit/Kurt Angle w/ Shane McMahon vs. The Dudley Boyz
This was very very fun. Benoit and Angle obviously make a very good team, and Bubba's hot tag was pretty awesome. They did a few great false finishes, and the ref and Angle both went down. Benoit ate the 3D and was out, but Big Show ran down. He killed D-Von on the floor, and Chokeslammed Bubba. Benoit got pulled on top and the ref woke up and counted the pin.
**3/4

In the back, Stephanie asks H to show her some holds. He teaches her a front guillotine, but she asks to learn the hammerlock he taught Trish, since it must have been a good idea. He says she's taller than Trish, and she makes a big deal and assumes he doesn't like that. Jesus christ, woman. I actually sympathize with H here. They try it again, and he accidentally calls her Trish HASHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA. Stephanie grabs her shit, and she walks out of the building.

In the parking lot, Triple H chases after her and Stephanie says to hell with the match and Foley, and to hell with him to her.

Steven, Bull, and The Goodfather come out, and Steven dubs them the Right to Censor for the first time. He has security arrest the protesting hos at ringside, and says if anyone has a problem with them, to come out. The APA comes out, and Bradshaw says he has the right to drink a whole lot of beer, consort with wild half naked women, and kick as much ass as he wants.

Match #4: The Acolytes vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan w/ Steven Richards
This is a minute, and Faarooq catches Bull off the top with a Powerslam to win. EAT THE SHIT RTC.
3/4*

Post-match, RTC lays out the APA. :(

Match #5: Rikishi vs. Tazz
Tazz tries to work the ribs but this is mostly Rikishi killing him. He counters the Tazzmission with the Samoan Drop to win. And goodbye, Tazz's push.
*3/4

Too Cool comes down, and everyone dances.

In the back, Triple H tells Foley what happened and he vents about not usually bailing on matches like he did on Smackdown, and they almost seem like friends. The slow face turn for Triple H would have been one of the best things WWF ever pulled off, if it actually happened. He slowly gets respect in the first six months of the year, going even with top guys and proving his toughness, and then has to deal with conniving chickenshit heels and insane people as his position as top heel is usurped by this Conspiracy stable, forcing the audience to side with the tough heel over the chickenshit ones. He says he'll take it in a 2 on 1 if Mick can't postpone it, but Mick makes Trish Stratus his partner instead! He is mad and Foley tells him to watch those hot tags.

Match #6: Eddie Guerrero/Chyna vs. Val Venis/Perry Saturn w/ Terri
Any time Chyna wasn't in, this RULED. Eddie might have been the most "on" in this match that he's been in his entire WWF run so far. Val and Saturn were great as usual, and Chyna wrestling men as the powerhouse of the match continues to be completely laughable and awful. Eddie won on Saturn with a counter of a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker into a Huracanrana. God damn shame it was only 3 minutes.
**1/2

In the back, Triple H is shirtless and stretching. Trish comes in and asks about the match. He yells at her to get out now because he'll just get in trouble again. AMAZING.

Kane comes down for the match, but Big Show and Shane and Angle and Benoit attack him in the ring. The Dudley Boyz run to save, and The Conspiracy bails.

Match #7: The Rock/Lita vs. Triple H/Trish Stratus
This happened. Hot crowd. Rock vs. H. etc. etc. cum. etc. It's good but just kind of old hat at this point. Trish kept attacking Rock until he hit her with a Spinebuster on instinct, and Lita hit a Moonsault to win.
**1/2

Triple H yells at an unconscious Trish down on the mat, and Rock hits him in the back with a chair. He falls on Trish in a 69 position, and Rock holds up the title over both of them to end the show.

In the parking lot, Triple H waits for Stephanie. Trish tries to apologize for Raw, and he says the best thing she can do is go away and stay away.

Match #1: X-Pac vs. Scotty 2 Hotty
Both tag partners are at ringside. Pac bumps around and makes S2H looks competent. Dogg does commentary to further the Pac/Dogg friendly rivalry, and says he'll be facing Sexay later on and says he could beat him faster than X-Pac beats this one. Pac wins with a low blow and the X-Factor.
**1/4

In the parking lot, Stephanie arrives in the limo. She tells Triple H that everything will work out but she needs space. He tries to talk to her, and she then yells that she needs space and storms off.

In the back after the commercial break, Kurt Angle runs into Stephanie and says if she needs anything, he's a great listener and there as a friend. She asks where Trish is, and Kurt points her to the locker room.

The hos are protesting again outside. SAVE THE HOS.

Shane, The Big Show, and Chris Benoit come down to the ring, and Shane gets the mic. Shane puts over his group of people and isn't very good as a hype man at all, as he'll just yell talking points like NO REMORSE (!!) or HE'S A BIG GIANT GUY, and Show and Benoit talk shit about killing The Undertaker and Chris Jericho recently, and say Rock and Kane are next tonight.

In the back, Stephanie goes into Trish's locker room, and she bitches her out in front of her guys for trying to creep on her man. She tells her to stay away from H, and leaves. Test then continues his role of saying obvious shit and looking proud of himself with, "THANK GOD I DIDN'T MARRY HER! WHAT A BITCH, RIGHT?"

In the back, Triple H tries to talk to Steph and says they can work this out, and she says she doesn't want to talk tonight. They are then summoned to Foley's office by agent Harvey Whippleman.

Match #2: Eddie Guerrero/Rikishi vs. Val Venis/Tazz w/ Trish Stratus
Unfortunately, this is just Eddie and Rikishi cleaning house, and after 90 seconds or so, Eddie pins Val with the Frog Splash to the injured ribs.
*3/4

In the "office" of Foley, H and Stephanie are there. He fines her for ditching his match, and says if it happens again, he's stripping her of the title. Kurt comes in, and Triple H moves Stephanie away and yells at him to stay away from his wife. That was kind of a dick move. Kurt and Stephanie both say they're just friends, and Mick says that's a lie! H is pissed off and Foley says tonight, all three of them are also tag partners vs. The Dudleyz & Lita in a No DQ match.

In the back, Matt tells Jeff to stay in the back since he's concussed. Matt lectures him to remember to take his health and well being seriously, and to remember that there's a life after wrestling, and he wants him to live to see it. LOL. Really really hilarious segment in retrospect.

Match #3: Matt Hardy vs. Edge w/ Christian
This was as good as you'd expect. Good sequences, and Matt's energy and fire were great. Christian kept interfering and slid a chair in. At that, Jeff Hardy ran down with a ladder and hit Christian. He set it up on the floor and climbed it, but he got dizzy, and fell off into the ring. Great work, Jeff. Idiot. Matt checked on him, but he turned into a chair shot from Edge for the DQ.
**1/2

Officials and Lita run down to check on the two.

In the back, The Rock cuts an awesome promo bringing back his Big Show impression. He shoves raisins in Kevin Kelly's teeth, and says he is now Chris Benoit, that gaptoothed bitch. He tells him to lick a wolverine's ass, and yells at Kelly to go lick the ass. Then he goes into his usual stuff.

Match #4: The Rock/Kane vs. Chris Benoit/The Big Show w/ Shane McMahon
So, this ruled. Good frantic Attitude Era brawl. KANE DOES A FLYING FOREARM. The Rock/Benoit stuff here was amazing as usual, and the insane crowd heat gave a really nice atmosphere to their finishing run. Kane and Show brawled away, and Shane cut off the People's Elbow right in time with his jumping chair shot, and Benoit hit the Diving Headbutt to pin the WWF Champion. YEAH! GUARANTEED REMATCH NOW!
***

Show and Kane brawl to the stage, and Shane follows. Show pulls one of the stage flooring steel panels off, and he chokeslams Kane through the gap in the stage to the floor underneath. Shane's look of complete horror and shock as he looks down at Kane really puts it over the top, like Frankenstein's lost control of the monster.

In the back, the RTC goes into the empty APA office. They throw away all the beer, cigars, cards, etc. The best part in all of this is that they actually enter through the door and exit through the door. MANNERS, FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.

Match #5: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Perry Saturn w/ Terri [WWF Hardcore Championship]
This was only like 2 minutes, so as such, it's the first sub-par Blackman title match. Terri gets involved, so Al Snow runs down and KO's Perry with Head, and Blackman retains.
*3/4

In the back, the APA finds their office cleaned out. THEY TOOK OUR BEER! THEY TOOK OUR MONEY! IF ONLY SOME TEAM CAN COMBINE THE TWO! Bradshaw says they're going on a quest to retrieve their beer. And Ron says their money too!

In the back, Stephanie makes Triple H leave while she gets changed because she doesn't feel comfortable undressing in front of him after last week. Oh fuck.

Match #6: The Acolytes vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan w/ Steven Richards
Steven has a protest sign with him with the censorship sign, to combat the protesting hos in the crowd. They have a match again, and it could be worse, I guess. Slight improvement over RAWR. Goodfather breaks Steven's wooden stick for the sign over Faarooq, and Bull hits the Scissors Kick to win.
*1/2

For the first time, Steven yells, "VERY ACCEPTABLE! VERY ACCEPTABLE BROTHER BULL!"

In the normal locker room, Triple H complains to Road Dogg, but he has to go wrestle. Mideon asks H if he can borrow his toothbrush. I love creepy Mideon.

XFL PROMO. This can't fail.

Match #7: Road Dogg vs. Grandmaster Sexay
Partners are there. This is no more than 2 minutes, but Pac's brief commentary is amazing. "Benoit says hes a best technician wrestler in the WWF ever, well I'll put my money on my mouth that I am" for example. Also, with Dogg in trouble, he's like "OH SHIT I GOTTA GO UH - TIE MY SHOES". He interferes and hits the X Factor. He then runs back down and yells into the headset "HELL YEAH I JUST TIED MY SHOES, DID YOU SEE ME". Dogg covers to win. Match wasn't much, but Pac made this.
**

They beat up Too Cool, but Rikishi runs down and clears the ring.

In the back, Shane talks to Triple H, and convinces him to work with Kurt tonight, because he's on his team. Triple H says he doesn't care, so Shane says it would show Stephanie that he cares about more than just himself. Kurt Angle then comes in, and Triple H says that most importantly, they need to look out for Stephanie, and if she goes through a table, there'll be hell to pay.

A recap of The Rock at the Republican National Convention airs.

In the back, Kurt tells Triple H that the three H's and three I's can defeat the 3 Ds of the Dudley Boyz, and asks Triple H if he knows what the three I's are. Triple H tells him to go to hell, and Kurt is disappointed that Triple H has no team spirit.

Match #8: Triple H/Kurt Angle/Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. The Dudley Boyz/Lita [No Disqualification Match]
This was very entertaining, largely due to the interaction between the heels. Stephanie kept looking impressed at Kurt's offense, and H was annoyed. Kurt then had the confidence in Stephanie to tag her in to kick at Bubba, but H immediately tagged her out, upsetting her. This suffered from the same lack of logic as some of the tables matches. There are no DQs and no ramifications for getting in the ring illegally. Why would you let your partner get isolated? Anyways, a table is set up, and Lita kills Stephanie. She tries the Moonsault, but H pulls her away, and he Pedigrees Lita. H and D-Von brawl up the ramp, and Bubba tries to Powerbomb Steph through the table, but Kurt saves. He disposes of Bubba and Stephanie covers Lita to win.
**1/2

Kurt and Stephanie hug with her legs around his waist, and they celebrate. Triple H sees this is and is pretty upset. Yeah, now Kurt's gotta die.
