WWF Raw is Pamis
August 7th, 2000
Madison Square Garden
New York, NY

In the parking lot, Stephanie is waiting for Triple H now.

The Rock comes down to open the show, and he gets on the mic. After all the FINALLY, and chanting, he says that that gaptoothed bitch Chris Benoit pinned him on Smackdown, so he guesses he has a title match now. Rock says he doesn't want to wait until SummerSlam to whip that Canadian candy ass, and he wants to do it TONIGHT! Benoit and Shane come out, and Benoit accepts. Shane challenges Rock to make it a No DQ match, and he accepts that.

In the back, Kurt Angle goes to Commissioner Foley, and asks to be named #1 Contender for the WWF Title at SummerSlam since Chris Benoit is getting his title match tonight. Foley ribs him about the end of Smackdown and asks how it was, and Angle says he and Stephanie are just friends. Foley is all like "SUUUUUURE" and winks as he nods, and he says he'll take the request under consideration. Angle is not happy and he storms off.

In the parking lot, Triple H arrives. Stephanie says there's nothing between her and Kurt, but he stops her, and says he needs space, and is blatantly mocking her with that. AMAZING. He says he wants to hear about it, but not now, since personal stuff keeps interfering with business. He asks where Foley's "office" is, and walks in that direction.

Match #1: Rikishi vs. X-Pac
X-Pac bumps around alright for the big man, and it is very entertaining. Dogg laughs in the back during the Stink Face, but when Rikishi tries the Bonzai Drop, he runs in for the DQ.
**

Post-match, DX beats down Rikishi.

In the back, Triple H finds Foley and demands the #1 Contender spot. Foley says Angle already asked him, and says he's trying to steal his girl and his spot, and he should watch out. Triple H gets pissed and says he'll kick his ass after he kicks Kurt's, and Foley says he's kidding and says he'll take Triple H's request under advisement.

SAVE THE HO'S! SAVE THE HO'S! SAVE THE HO'S!

In the back, Triple H yells at Stephanie about how Kurt has no right to ask to be #1 Contender, because it belongs to him, just like she does, and says to stop hanging around with her "friend" Kurt Angle. Triple H says if he sees Kurt tonight, he's kicking his ass. Stephanie looks concerned. Kurt has done nothing wrong here at this point.

The RTC come down, and Steven says that if anybody sees issue with their right to censorship, they're willing to discuss it, and he hopes they will find their answers very acceptable, because it is for YOUR OWN GOOD! FUCK YEAH! The Dudley Boyz come out, and I guess the match serves as a discussion forum in 2000.

Match #2: The Dudley Boyz vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan w/ Steven Richards
This happened and was in no way a good match. This RTC is pretty fucking terrible in the ring, so that's a total shame that they were given such an incredible gimmick. Steven interfered after a 3D, and that caused the DQ.
*1/4

They hit the WHASSUP on Steven, debuting that awesome move, and set up a table. JR's explosion of anger with "LOOK AT THE WHITE SOCKS! WHAT A NERD!" with a tone of total hate was amazing. Bull and Goodfather save, and Steven brings the protesting ho's over the barricade. The Dudleyz get killed with the protesting stick, and Goodather Powerbombs the ho through a table! VERY ACCEPTABLE!

In the back, Kurt and Stephanie talk. She says Triple was mad and says he should stay out of his way tonight, and Kurt asks if he yelled at her, and says her husband should undergo sensitivity training and be more sensitive to his beautiful and amazing wife. Kurt is the greatest. He says he's here anytime and that's what friends are for. They shake on it. FUCK YEAH FRIENDSHIP!

In the back, Just Joe tells Triple H that the guys say if Angle and Triple H met, Kurt would be the one guy who could take out Triple H.

It's supposed to be Val/T&A vs. Too Cool/Eddie, but they jump Eddie AND VAL HITS HIM WITH A PILEDRIVER ON THE FLOOR! He's out, and then during the match, Chyna takes his place. FUCK YEAH PILEDRIVER ANGLE! AWESOME! Chyna having to wrestle now? Significantly less awesome.

Match #3: Too Cool/Chyna w/ Eddie Guerrero vs. Val Venis/T & A w/ Trish Stratus
As usual, the heels are a great trio, and the beatdown on S2H rules. Chyna gets in and cleans house with a series of low blows, continuing to be a HORRIBLE babyface, in addition to ruining the match. Val hits a Perfect Plex on her, but Eddie interferes with the Frog Splash BECAUSE HE'S FINE NOW AFTER 3 MINUTES, and Chyna covers for the cheap win. WHY ARE YOU ALL BAD PEOPLE? SELL THE NECK, EDDIE. COME ON, YOU'RE BETTER THAN THIS.
**

In the back, Just Joe tells Kurt that Triple H is throwing shit around and has been saying Kurt's gold medals are fake and reduced Stephanie to tears. Kurt says to tell Triple H that he'll wait here, and that when Triple H gets here, he'll put a hold on him and make H cry like a baby.

Stephanie comes out to the ring and apologizes to Triple H for Smackdown. Triple H comes down, and she apologizes again, and they make up and hug. She then calls Kurt Angle down to smooth this over. He says Smackdown was a mistake and they got caught up in the heat of battle, and they're just friends. Triple H says that Kurt might have his naive wife fooled, but he knows Kurt's full of shit, and if he comes near her again, he'll end him. She says if Trple H loves her, he'll shake Kurt's hand, and he offers his hand to shake. Mick Foley then comes out, and books Teiple H vs. Angle in the main event for the #1 Contender's spot.

Match #4: The Rock [c] vs. Chris Benoit w/ Shane McMahon [WWF Championship - No Disqualification Match]
Hey, so, shocker...this ruled. They have their usual great match, with INSANE crowd heat for everything, and great Shane interference. It finally seems to have overwhelmed Rock as he gets the Crossface, BUT CHRIS JERICHO RUNS OUT FUCK YEAH! He hits them both, and hits Benoit with the Double Powerbomb on a chair. He chases Shane away through the crowd, and Rock hits the Rock Bottom to win and retain.
***1/4

In the back, Benoit and Shane yell at Foley to punish Jericho. He says he'll put him in a match against two world class athletes, and they agree, so Foley adds Jericho to the #1 Contender's Match!

Tazz comes down and shits on his hometown, and then says it's not their fault they're preconditioned to boo the bad guy. He goes to the floor and blames JR. Oh, great. He calls JR a redneck scumbag. Lawler tells him to shut up, and Tazz threatens to choke him out. JR stands up, and they face off in front of a sign saying "TAZZ IS THE NEW BROOKLYN BRAWLER". AHAHAHAHAHHAHA. Tazz knocks his hat off and says "JR, I'D LIKE TO SLAP YOU ACROSS THE FACE, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE GOD BEAT ME TO IT!" Holy fucking shit, Tazz is the best. JR slaps him hard, and Tazz begs him to do it again, BUT LAWLER DECKS TAZZ WITH THE EPIC JERRY LAWLER RIGHT HAND FUCK YEAH! Refs have to hold Tazz back. Lawler rules.

XFL PROMO~. WITH THE BRAWL FOR ALL MUSIC. THIS HERE WHAT YOU CALL DOMINATION!

Match #5: Matt Hardy/The Acolytes vs. Edge/Christian/The Big Show
This was 2 minutes and mostly Matt trying to kill E & C, so it ruled. The APA got in, and then Big Show nailed them both with the tag title belt for the DQ. This was totally a set-up for an AMAZING angle.
*3/4

Show Powerbombs Matt, BUT GOOD FUCKING CHRIST THE UNDERTAKER IS BACK GODDAMN!

He kills Edge and Christian, and fucking unloads on Show to knock him to the floor. Shane comes out to try and help, but Taker chases him up the ramp on his bike. Shane jumps to the side titantron, and he climbs to safety. Show tries to attack him like Kane, but Taker chokes him with a steel chain, AND HE THROWS BIG SHOW OFF THE STAGE TO THE FLOOR BAH GAWD KING HE'S DEAD

During the break, Shane left the building in the limo.

In the back, Chris Jericho attacks Triple H, and they have to be pulled apart by officials.

The Rock comes out to do commentary on the main event.

Match #6: Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kurt Angle [#1 Contender's Match]
They have a good 6 minute TV main event three way with a ton of cool spots, and escalating tension with H and Kurt. They hit Jericho with a Double Back Superplex, and the ref counts three with both having one arm over Jericho.
**3/4

They argue about who won, and Rock comes in. H gets a Rock Bottom and so does Kurt. Stephanie slaps Rock twice, and she also gets a Rock Bottom. BAH GAWD KING WHO'S THE #1 CONTENDER?!

I've failed several times to finish this review, as I keep getting sidetracked or the window closes or some bullshit. So whatever, moving on.

Chris Benoit/Val Venis vs. Eddie Guerrero/Chris Jericho: **3/4
-Amazing match, but only 3 minutes, so y'know. Benoit and Jericho were pulled apart after the match.

X-Pac vs. Rikishi: *3/4
-Rikishi wins

Edge & Christian [c] vs. The Dudley Boyz: **1/4
-Dudleys win by DQ. The Hardy Boyz come down and Christian is put through a table with the 3D as the Hardys beat up Edge with a ladder.

Tazz was supposed to fight Crash Holly, but ended up fighting with Jerry Lawler, and they also were pulled apart in an amazing brawl.

Too Cool vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan: *1/4

Steve Blackman [c] vs. Albert: **1/4

The Rock/The Undertaker vs. Triple H/Kurt Angle: **1/2
-Triple H walks out on Kurt, and he gets beat with the Last Ride. Triple H then came out to save Stephanie after she slapped Rock, but he got hit with the Chokeslam and then the People's Elbow

Recap of SD reminds me that Foley made Rock/Triple H/Angle as the SummerSlam main event, so my bad.

Kurt Angle comes out and cuts the serious promo of his career thus far, as he says Triple H has been jealous since he got to the WWF, and tried to cut off his undefeated streak for no reason the first few months he was here, just because he was jealous that somebody else was making an impact while he was busy consolidating power, and he's tried to undermine him since he won KOTR on the same night Triple H dropped the ball and lost the WWF Title. He says he's sorry his friend is saddled with a marriage to such a sore loser. Triple H comes out and wants to fight, but Shane runs out to keep the peace, and says they're killing Stephanie with this. Commissioner Foley then comes down and books H/Angle/Shane vs. Rock/Dudleyz, and if either Kurt or Triple H walks out on each other and more importantly his match, they're out of the WWF Title match at Summerslam.

In the back, Benoit arrives and Jericho attacks him, and they have to be pulled apart. YES. I can watch them get pulled apart forever.

In the APA office, Kaientai makes up for a bad check with BEER! AND MONEY! Then all four decide to go out drinking.

Match #1: Eddie Guerrero/Steve Blackman vs. T & A
Chyna and Trish are on the floor. This happened for 3 minutes. Albert rules, and Eddie bumps like crazy, etc. Albert hits Blackman with his own kendo stick behind the ref's back, and then gets the cheap win. YEAH, NOW DO A LONGER HXC TITLE MATCH! YES!
**1/4

In the parking lot, Angle meets Steph with an umbrella to guard her from the rain like a good friend and helps her get her stuff out. He thanks her for coming back for him on Smackdown, AND KURT KISSES HER ON THE CHEEK! OH SHIT. Triple H is fuming in the back. I am rooting for infidelity at this point, even though I know Triple H is a terrible babyface. Although it's 2000, so maybe that'll also be wrong, like how his Flair impression only works in 2000-1.

In the back, Triple H yells at Stephanie and says "friends, my ass" and says to stay away from Kurt Angle. She says maybe she shouldn't even be here if he's going to be so irrational, and Triple H agrees, and says to get out.

Match #2: The Hardy Boyz/Lita vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan w/ Steven Richards
This was pretty good actually, due pretty much solely to the Hardy Boyz, as they get the best RTC match yet. Probably ever too. Jeff bumped with unusual insanity even for him to get these fucks, and Matt's hot tag was great. Lita got in, and Steven KO'd her with a Steven Kick on the floor, and rolled her in. Goodfather then hits her inside with a Shoulderbreaker to win.
**1/2

Post-match, Edge and Christian run in to try and hit Lita with the Conchairto, but Matt saves. He gets double teamed with Jeff down on the floor, and he gets hit with an Unprettier on a chair.

At the local bar (THE FRIENDLY TAP SHIT YES), the APA refuse to let Kaientai give them sake and demand cold beer and Kamikazes for their new Asian friends. Bradshaw gets fighting level mad when Faarooq tells him sake is a warm drink, and they argue over the properties and chemical make up of sake.

In the parking lot, Stephanie gets in the limo crying. Shane tries to stop her, but she refuses to stay if Triple H doesn't want her here, and he says he'll call her later.

Edge and Christian come out and show footage of the attack on Smackdown. They say they were served up a bowl of heinousity, and are on strike until it stops, and they say if Commissioner Foley doesn't assure them of it now, there will be ramiprocussions. I shit you not, that's the actual word that came out of Christian's mouth. Commissioner Foley comes down, and he says the Hardyz and Dudleyz will not interfere with tables or ladders at SummerSlam in the match he's booked between the three of them, because they'll be legal at SummerSlam in a TABLES, LADDERS, AND CHAIRS MATCH! OH MY!

In the back, Triple H and Shane talk and Triple H blames Kurt for Stephanie leaving in tears. Wow, that's kind of a dick move. At the same time, I kinda love how nobody's really changing here, it's just a total dick and a scheming coward fighting over a woman, and the scheming coward would totally trick a dick like him into doing that. Shane says after the match where he's managing Benoit, he'll talk to Kurt and sort this out.

Match #3: The Undertaker vs. Chris Benoit w/ Shane McMahon
LOL ONLY 3 MINUTES. FUCK EVERYTHING. Benoit works over the knee big time, and it's great. Taker decides he wants to sell now too, so that's great. He fights back, but Shane gets involved and chair shots the bad knee for a DQ.
**1/2

They beat on The Undertaker , but BAH GAWD KING KANE IS BACK AND HE CLEARS THE RING! WAIT WHAT KANE CHOKESLAMS THE UNDERTAKER WHAT THE SHIT AND HE CHOKESLAMS HIM AGAIN AND THIS TIME THROUGH THE RING! Kane points and yells at a KO'd Taker, and it sounds like "HOW DOES IT FEEL?!" but I have no idea. He then takes his brother's bike and rides off on it.

In the back, Taker can't stand and says that bitch will pay.

In the back, Shane talks to Kurt. He says that professionally, they're cool, but he says he sees how he looks at Stephanie and says to not mess up his sister's marriage. Kurt is mad that yet another person doesn't believe that they're just friends, and says since Shane is questioning his integrity, one of his Three I's, he needs to be alone.

JR says that after the events of Smackdown Foley booked Tazz/Lawler for Summerslam, but Lawler isn't allowed to be at ringside for Tazz matches until then.

Match #4: Tazz vs Crash Holly
Solid Tazz squash, and he keeps taunting JR before winning with the Tazzmission.
*1/2

Post-match, Tazz steals JR's cowboy hat and yells at him. Jerry Lawler runs down and punches Tazz and they get pulled apart.

In the back, Kurt asks where it's written that a guy and a girl can't be just friends. Just Joe comes over and tells Kurt that there's a rumor that someone wants to fight him in the parking lot.

Match #5: Rikishi vs. X-Pac/Road Dogg
This happened. In return, Pac now laughed during the Stink Face and did not save. He hit a Spinning Heel Kick, and both men piled on top of Rikishi for the win. wat.
**

They beat him down until Too Cool ran in for the save.

In the back, Just Joe tells H that someone wants to meet him in the parking lot. Triple H assumes it's Stephanie, and goes off to meet her.

In the parking lot, Kurt Angle is waiting.

Match #6: Val Venis [c] w/ Trish Stratus vs. Chris Jericho [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
This was pretty good for under 4 minutes, they have a great chemistry together. Shame they never got to have anything while Val still cared and RTC ruined him completely. Val brought his usual hard work and aggression, Jericho was on, etc. Benoit ran in for the DQ.
**3/4

Benoit beat the shit out of Jericho and put on a wicked looking STF until referees pulled him off.

In the parking lot, Triple H and Angle meet and yell at each other, but a limo shows up.

At the local bar, Funaki vomits on Bradshaw's boots, so they kick the shit out of Kaientai and throw a pinball machine on TAKA. BEST GODDAMNED TAG TEAM OF ALL TIME.

In the parking lot, Vince McMahon gets out of the limo and says if his daughter is ever traumatized and calls him crying again, he'll make both of their lives hell, and also tells them to watch out for Shane in their match, because he doesn't want them to hurt both of his children. He yells at them to get along, and drives off.

Match #7: The Rock/The Dudley Boyz vs. Triple H/Kurt Angle/Shane McMahon
Enjoyable 5 minute match. Rock vs. Triple H and Rock vs. Kurt are both good, and Shane is an awesome chickenshit heel. The ref takes a bump, and a table is set up on the floor. The Dudleyz try to put Shane through it, but Edge and Christian save with chair shots, and Bubba eats the Conchairto! Back in the ring, Angle hits Rock with the Angle Slam, and Triple H hits Rock with the Pedigree. They don't feel like covering, so that ends the match and the show as they pose.

WWF Smackdown
August 17th, 2000
Worcester, MA

Triple H, Kurt Angle, Shane MaMahon, and Stephanie McMahon come down to open the show. They say the problems are over, and Kurt and Triple H both apologize for things said about the other. Kurt Angle says he can admire Triple H's intensity and intelligence, and Triple H says Kurt is alright too. Stephanie asks that they shake hands, and they do, although Triple H clearly still hates Kurt and Kurt is incredible in his over the top insincerity. Commissioner Foley comes down, and says tonight one of the four of them will face The Rock, and it's up to them to determine who.

In the back, Terri and The Kat talk shit to each other, and Terri shoves The Kat down and leaves.

In the back, Angle and Triple H argue about who should face The Rock. Kurt says his gold medals say he should do it, and Triple H says beating The Rock is like a weekly thing for him, and that's pretty great for an argument over who should do it. Shane gets annoyed, and tells Stephanie that they'll never figure it out with them, and says the two McMahons need to make the decision, and they go in the hallway to talk about it.

Match #1: Rikishi/The Kat vs. Perry Saturn/Terri
This happened. The Rikishi/Saturn part ruled. Saturn clotheslined Kat, and Terri pinned her to win.
*1/2

Post-match, Saturn is taken out by Rikishi. Terri attacks him, so she gets a Stink Face.

In the back, Shane tells Kurt and Triple H that to preserve family unity when Triple H yells at him to shut up about the Olympics, he'll take on The Rock instead, and they both dislike this and feel it should be them.

Match #2: Val Venis [c] vs. Eddie Guerrero [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
Trish and Chyna are on the floor. Cole again proves his lack of any worth as a commentator when he claims Val cutting off Chyna swinging at him by punching her was a cheap shot. This was mostly just solid wrestling for 2 minutes, until Chyna Powerbombed Val on the floor and rolled him in. Trish responded by breaking the pitcher of ice at ringside over Chyna's head. Eddie was distracted and Val rolled him up to retain.
**

In the back, Stephanie suggests to Shane that she wrestles The Rock and he laughs it off, and says she has a plan.

In the back, Chyna demands Trish in a match, so Foley books Eddie/Chyna vs. Val/Trish at Summerslam.

Match #3: The Acolytes/Crash Holly vs. TAKA Michinoku/Sho Funaki/Big Bossman
What a gloriously random match on paper. This happened and I loved all of it. Big Bossman walks out on KDX, and the APA kills them to win by throwing Crash on them after the Dominator and Powerbomb.
**

In the back, it's decided amongst the heels that it's Rock vs. Triple H tonight, because Kurt got Rock last. Kurt takes it personally, and says Shane did this because of on Raw when he implied Kurt had feelings for Stephanie and had no integrity. Kurt storms off and says he doesn't accept this and it's wrong that they're jealous of his friendship.

Chris Jericho comes down to do commentary. It's announced that Benoit/Jericho in a Best of Three Falls match will take place at SummerSlam. I'll take it!

Match #4: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Chris Benoit w/ Shane McMahon [WWF Hardcore Championship]
So yeah, this ruled for 5 minutes. Blackman's usual brutal hardcore spots are made even cooler with Benoit bumping like a freak. Shane KO'd Blackman with a kendo stick shot to the back of the head. Benoit put on this brutal STF, but Jericho got in and hit a massive chair shot right to the back of Benoit's head in one of those fun games of "Is that shot one of the ones that caused a double murder-suicide?" Jericho chases Shane off, and Blackman covers to win.
***

Post-match, Benoit comes out of his coma and puts Blackman in the Crossface until officials pull him off.

In the parking lot, Kurt Angle is leaving. Stephanie tries to stop him, and Kurt says he doesn't want to be where he's not wanted, and neither Shane nor Triple H thinks he has any integrity.

Match #5: Edge & Christian vs. Jeff Hardy/D-Von Dudley w/ Bubba Ray Dudley, Matt Hardy, & Lita
Bubba can't wrestle after the Conchairto, and Matt ate an Unprettier on a chair on Raw, so this makes sense. As far as 3 minute tag sprints go, this had a lot of cool spots, and Jeff's dramatic selling was good as usual. Edge Speared D-Von and had the cover, but he moved when Jeff tried the Swanton, and it hit D-Von. Edge covered to win.
**1/4

Post-match, Jeff apologizes to D-Von, who shoves him. They argue and Lita tries to play peacekeeper. Bubba walks to Lita with his orgasmic table look on his face, so Matt stops him. They end up brawling in the ring, and Edge and Christian watch on the stage with a big smile.

In the garage, Kane is waiting for The Undertaker to arrive.

Right To Censor comes out, and Bull says he's ashamed to not let his daughters watch him on TV because he works for a company that promotes so much sex & violence. So then please quit? He says he HATES sex and violence, because I guess he's more of an FA fan or something. Bull clearly doesn't have the charisma that Steven does to be able to pull this off. Steven says that they're warning the WWF to stop the sex and gratuitous violence. Steven focuses on Rikishi and tells him to cover up his fat rear end, or they will do it for him, and for our own good.

At ringside, Lawler talks about the Tazz thing, but Tazz sneaks around and he chokes Lawler out. Now we have to listen to Michael Cole alone for the rest of the show.

Match #6: Too Cool vs. X-Pac/Road Dogg
This was a minute long. Pac and Dogg argued, and Kane came out and Chokeslammed everyone.
3/4*

Kane got on the mic, and said he Chokeslammed his brother, because he's always been a monster. Well ok then. The Undertaker came down and demanded to really know why. Kane refused to fight, but then suckerpunched Taker. He took him to the floor and hit three big chair shots to the face and left him down on the floor. This isn't exactly inspired, but whatever, their actual match is one of their best ones, so I'll take it.

Jerry Lawler comes back down to ringside to return to commentary.

Shane and Stephanie come down with Triple H for the main event, but Foley comes out and ejects them from ringside. However, he noticed them both wanting to wrestle, so on Raw, it's Shane vs. Steve Blackman for the Hardcore Title, and Stephanie vs. Lita for the Women's Title!

Match #7: The Rock vs. Triple H
They had their usual awesome 7 minute TV match with great bumping and reversals and Rock being full of energy and fire and shit. On average, they work way better with under 10 minutes than they do with 20 or so. However, they worked best with strictly 60 minutes. So that's a weird thing. Anyways, a ref bump happens and Kurt Angle runs down and just destroys Rock in the face with a chair shot. H hits the Pedigree as the ref comes back in, and H covers to win.
***

On the stage, Triple H and Kurt shake hands and celebrate.

WWF Raw is Pamis
August 21st, 2000
Lafayette, LA

The Rock comes down and gets on the mic to open the show. He says he wants Triple H or Angle TONIGHT, and Mick Foley comes out and tells him to cool down and take the night off. Triple H, Angle, Shane, and Stephanie come onto the stage and H and Kurt shake hands. Triple H says he still finds Kurt annoying and grating, but much less so, and he says nothing endears him to someone faster then watching them knock Rock out with a chair. Foley reiterates the Blackman/Shane and Stephanie/Lita bookings from Smackdown, as well as booking Kurt/H vs. The Acolytes, and he makes The Rock the special ref during Stephanie/Lita.

In the back, Tazz shoves down a security guard and walks, but a stack of boxes falls onto his head. Lawler walks down from the storage racks, and beats up Tazz. FUCK YEAH LAWLER!

Lawler comes down to announce now, and says if Tazz wants to fight tonight, he's ready.

Edge and Christian come down to do commentary.

Match #1: The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz
They had their usual fun 4 minute match while Edge and Christian do epic commentary. They claim no run-in will happen, and then Edge says that this is what you call a swerve, and he Spears Matt on the floor. Jeff gets hit with a 3D in the ring, but Christian distracts the ref, and Edge kills both Dudleyz with chairs, and Jeff covers to win.
**1/2

In the back, Val tells Trish that they have a tag match tonight so that she can get some experience and embarrass him at SummerSlam.

Match #2: Val Venis/Trish Stratus vs. Crash Holly/Ivory
Squuuuash. Val Powerbombs Ivory and Trish pins.
*

Chyna runs down to get Trish, but Val clotheslines her and they leave. FUCK YEAH VAL. Soon :(

In the back, Chyna demands Trish, so Foley placates her by making Val/Trish vs. Eddie/Chyna for the IC Title. OH COME ON, WHAT? Eddie looks somewhat upset, but hides it when Chyna turns around.

Match #3: Rikishi vs. Kane
This was a minute, and was a thing that occurred until Kane used a chair for the DQ.
1/2*

Too Cool tries to run down to save, but RTC cuts them off and rolls them in so Too Cool also get killed by chair shots. Kane leaves, and RTC gets back in and beats the three of them up. VERY ACCEPTABLE.

Match #4: Triple H/Kurt Angle vs. The Acolytes
This wasn't great or anything, but probably could have been worse. They bumped around and yeah. Faarooq made a comeback, but Angle got a low blow, and H hit the Pedigree to win.
**1/4

Post-match, they celebrate, but Kurt doesn't leave the ring in time and eats a Clothesline From Hell. Triple H tries to get in, but they scare him off, and Kurt also eats a Tandem Powerbomb, and Triple H goes to the back.

In the back, Kurt yells at Triple H about what happened, and Hunter tells him to stop being selfish and focus on Shane and Stephanie's matches.

The RTC come down and discuss what they did to Rikishi and Too Cool and said it was FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. Foley comes out and puts over Louisiana with SHRIMPIN' AIN'T EASY! in addition to his cheap pop He then books RTC vs. Rikishi/Too Cool at SummerSlam.

In the back, Shane gets the Posse to attack Blackman, but he quickly kills them and Shane bails.

In the parking lot, Kurt tries to leave, but Stephanie says she needs him here, so he stays, but he says he'll stay here for her, because he values their friendship.

Match #5: Chris Jericho vs. Perry Saturn
This was really really fun, but lasted under 2 minutes. Then Benoit interfered for the DQ. Okay, this is not 1999. Cut it the fuck out.
**3/4

Post-match, Benoit and Jericho have to be pulled apart by officials.

In the back, Triple H is showing Stephanie a full nelson, but Kurt says he's doing it wrong and technical wrestling is more his forte than Triple H's. Stephanie says that Kurt does know olympic holds, and H says it's fine and says he'll be right outside the door. Kurt then shows her a full nelson and shows how Triple H did it wrong by saying you need to lock your hands and THEN push down.

In the back, Test jumps Seve Blackman, and fights him out to the ring. Albert and Edge & Christian also come back and Blackman fights a 4 on 1 briefly, until Shane McMahon sneaks out and KO's him from behind with the kendo stick to the head and Shane is the new Hardcore Champion. :(

In the back, Shane celebrates with Edge & Christian, who congratulate him on also being a champion and say he also reeks of awesomeness now. Foley comes up and books a Shane/Blackman rematch for SummerSlam. Shane tries to get one of them to pin him and take his place, so Foley waives the 24/7 rule for the next 6 days. He also then books E&C vs. DX tonight, since they want to win a match.

In the back, Triple H walks in on Angle lifting Steph up in a waistlock, and protests and pulls her down. He says this has gone on long enough, and Steph says he's shown good moves. Angle says he's just trying to help her retain the title, and Triple H pulls Stephanie out of the room.

At WWF New York, Terri jumped The Kat. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON'T CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARE.

Match #6: Edge & Christian vs. X-Pac/Road Dogg
This was good for about 3 minutes, which is to be expected since this is apparently 1999 Tribute Night. The Dudleyz run down and set up a table as X-Pac and Dogg argue again. They chase E & C off through the crowd, ending the match.
**1/2

Post-match, DX argues. Dogg shoves Pac on the apron, and X-Pac shoves him back and Dogg falls off through the table. Pac seems sorry.

Match #7: Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley [c] w/ Triple H & Kurt Angle vs. Lita [WWF Women's Championship - Special Referee: The Rock]
This happened. The bullshit shenanigans style stuff ruled, but the actual wrestling not so much. The Hardyz ran down to cut off Angle and H, but they got taken out. Angle and H tried to attack Rock, but Rock ducked a swing and Angle hit H with the title. Rock then hit him with a Rock Bottom. Stephanie tried to hit Rock with the title, but he hit her with a Pinebuster and Lita hit the Moonsault to win the title.
*1/2

Lita celebrates with the title. Women's wrestling is back now. :(

WWF Smackdown
August 24th, 2000
New Orleans, LA

Stephanie comes down to open the show. She wants a rematch against Lita, and Kurt Angle comes out and they say Foley should be ashamed of making Rock the ref. Kurt also says H is a bad and paranoid husband for not allowing him more time to train her. H comes out and shoves Kurt to the floor. Foley then comes out in his old referee shirt, and he says that deep down, he wants her respect and for her to like him. He then pulls out gold medals and says that's why he has these, because he knows she's attracted to men who wear gold medals. AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA FOLEY IS GOD. Foley then books Rock/Lita vs. Stephanie, and then she gets to choose between Triple H and Angle as her partner. She looks mighty conflicted.

In the back, H is assuming he's being chosen and he and Steph talk strategy. She says Kurt should be here since they should be a unit at Summerslam. Triple H dislikes it, but he agrees and says Steph can talk to Kurt.

Before the next match, Rikishi brings out the protesting hos to escort him down.

Match #1: Rikishi w/ Hos vs. The Goodfather w/ RTC
This isn't much at all. Goodfather under any name is still not very good. Too Cool runs down to cut off RTC interference at a point. The Bonzai Drop wins the match for Rikishi.
*1/2

Steven tries to attack Rikishi, so he puts him in the corner, but RTC drags him out before the Stink Face happens. Everyone then dances.

In the back, Eddie and Chyna talk and both are ok if the other wins the IC Title on Sunday. They say that now, sure.

In the back, Foley tells Shane that if he interferes in any matches tonight, then his rematch with Blackman happens tonight instead of at SummerSlam.

Match #2: Eddie Guerrero/Steve Blackman/Chyna vs. Val Venis/T & A w/ Trish Stratus
Test's red leather pants are hilariously epic. This match happened. Not enough Albert, Val, and Eddie. Val accidentally hit Test with the nunchucks, and Blackman pinned him to win.
**

In the back, Kurt talks to Stephanie. He says Triple H is mad and he will make mistakes, but he's smarter and he can help her get a win back on Lita, and he will walk her back. With her skills and his wisdom, it won't last more than three minutes. She says she'll think about it.

In the parking lot, Tazz has someone trapped in a car and has spraypainted Lawler's car with "13" and "JUST ANOTHER VICTIM" and "THUG LIFE" on it. Tazz says everything is a joke to the funny man, and Lawler says he's sure Tazz is smart for doing this on TV so he'll have to pay the fine. JR IS IN THE CAR THOUGH, and Tazz asks if they're laughing at him now. JR locks himself in, so Tazz smashes the window. Lawler runs out to save.

Coming back from break, people and Lawler help JR out of the car as he holds his eye, and Tazz lays out Lawler from behind.

Chris Jericho comes out and gets on the mic. He says he's developed an intense hatred for Chris Benoit lately, and he can't wait for their match at SummerSlam. He says he'd think Benoit could grasp that concept, that a lightbulb would have gone off in his toothless head, and does a monotone mocking of Benoit's voice. But he's interfered in all of his matches since then, and the thing is, he's not a hard guy to find. He'll fight him anywhere. He will fight him in the ring, he will fight Chris Benoit in the back, he will fight Chris Benoit on a boat, he will fight Chris Benoit with a goat, Chris Benoit when the score is tied, or Chris Benoit as a blushing bride! All with terribly photoshopped images as well. He will fight him while he is taking a quiz, or Chris Benoit as the total jackass that he is. He says he will fight him any day, because baby, he is Y2J. Chris Benoit then comes onto the stage and says he's got to hand it to him. He's a pretty funny guy, and he's glad he can laugh now, because at SummerSlam, his wit will do NOTHING for him. He says he has his own favorite picture that he looks at in times of sadness to cheer him up, and it's a picture of him choking Jericho out in the Crossface, and says he'll show Jericho tonight and at SummerSlam that he's the best damn wrestler in the WWF, ever. PROVE HIM WRONG.

At a nearby bar, KDX is doing karaoke and the APA yell at them to shut up and get off the stage.

A hype video airs for Taker/Kane.

Match #3: The Undertaker vs. X-Pac/Road Dogg
Cole says Kane is not here. This is a total squash, but X-Pac took some huge bumps. Road Dogg walks out on the match, and Taker wins with the Last Ride.
*3/4

In the back, Triple H and Stephanie talk. Triple H is mad and asks if she's even thinking about having Kurt as her partner. She says it's worthy of consideration, so he storms off.

Match #4: Perry Saturn [c] w/ Terri vs. Al Snow [WWF European Championship]
This took place. They had some cool offense for 2 minutes, nothing really wrong with any of it. Saturn has a pretty sweet dive. Terri tries to use Head against Al Snow, but he ducks it and tosses her out. He then turns into a takedown, and Saturn puts on Rings of Saturn for the win.
**

Before their match, Edge & Christian get on the mic. Christian says he knows they're eating their fried alligator legs in anticipation of their five second poses, BUT THERE WILL BE NO POSE UNTIL AFTER SUMMERSLAM! Edge says to fear not, because unlike Ricky Williams, they will not drop the ball, because in the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match, they will climb rung by glorious rung, and unveil a first 37 SECOND POSE HOLY SHIT.

Match #5: Chris Benoit/Edge & Christian vs. Chris Jericho/The Hardy Boyz
HOLY SHIT THIS IS MY WWF 2000 DREAM MATCH. AND IT GETS 3 MINUTES. FUCK LIFE. Benoit/Jericho gets 30 seconds and the rest is Jericho and Mott vs. E & C. Which is fine, it's solid, but they can only do so much with 3 minutes. Cool counters and ideas, and it breaks down into a brawl. Jericho hits Edge with the Lionsault to win. UGH.
**

Edge and Christian hit the Hardys with chairs, and The Dudley Boyz run out to save. They hit the Wassup Headbutt on Christian and D-Von gets the tables. They set one up, but Edge and Christian fight them back to the floor. Matt and Jeff put a ladder up in the ring, and Juff dives off the top to Edge and Bubba and then Matt jumps off the ladder to the other two! Benoit and Jericho fight back inside and to the top rope, BUT BOTH MEN FALL OFF AND THROUGH THE TABLE! FUCK YEAH!

In the back, Triple H confronts Kurt and says he's her partner tonight and for life, and he needs to get that through his thick head. Kurt says he cares about the match and he doesn't want emotions to affect the match. Triple H says they only have to co-exist for three more days, and then Kurt's dead. Kurt says his wife makes the decision, not them, and Triple H says she doesn't decide anything, and she comes over and says she does, and separates them. She tells them to stop fighting and says she's going to flip a coin. She leaves and they both ask if she's kidding.

Back at the bat, the APA beat the fuck out of KDX.

In the back, Kelly interviews The Rock. FINALLY, THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO NEW ORLEANS. He says it's fitting that they're here in the Big Easy, because that's exactly what Stephanie McMahon is! Seeing as The Rock has been here for 3-4 days, observing traditions and boiling his crawfish, pinching the tail and above all else, sucking on the head. And he's heard about her little problem and it might come down to who she likes the most, but what it comes down to is NOTHING, because he'll whip either of their asses. He says Triple H and Kurt should feel at home here, and they should punch on Stephanie's tail and suck on their own heads, because the fact of the matter is that just as sure as he is the People's Champion and Kevin KElly is an ugly hermaphrodite is as sure as he'll leave SummerSlam as the WWF Champion, if you smell what The Rock is cooking. AWESOME promo, but it's The Rock in 1998-2003.

In the back, Kurt Angle wins the coin flip! Triple H storms off.

Match #6: The Rock/Lita vs. Kurt Angle/Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley
This is a match! Rock/Kurt is awesome. Stephanie/Lita is...not so awesome. That's not shocking or anything, so whatever. But it's mostly Rock/Kurt, and they continue to just get better and better against each other. But this is more about the AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING angle going on. Stephanie gets knocked to the floor, and Triple H runs out to check on her, and he takes her to the back. A few minutes later, she's groggy in the back and she tells him to go help Kurt Angle! TRIPLE H THEN COMES BACK TO HELP ANGLE! YEAH! Triple H comes out as Rock and Kurt fight on the ramp and attacks Rock. Triple H fights Rock down to the ring, and Lurt joins him. Rock fights back on both of them, but they throw him out. They get Lita in and corner her, BUT THE HARDY BOYZ RUN OUT TO SAVE! FUCK YEAH THAT POTENTIAL MATCH! Kurt Angle bails when Rock gets back in, and all three babyface pinball Triple H around. Kurt goes to the back and the match is just sort of over now.
**1/4

The Hardy Boyz whip Triple H into the Rock Bottom.

In the back, Kurt Angle finds Stephanie on her couch and he apologizes for causing her fall and says he swears he's sorry and says she doesn't know how much she means to him. She groggily hugs him and says it's ok. He says he really cares about her, AND KURT GOES IN AND GETS THE KISS! FUCK YEAH KURT! She stops resisting and he backs off and smiles as the show ends.

WWF SUMMERSLAM 2000
AUGUST 27TH, 2000
RALEIGH, NC

Before the opener, Brother Steven speaks. He says he would think that in the Bible Belt, the Right to Censor would be applauded for their actions. He would think that these people in the Bible Belt would support them, yet they boo them. Rikishi cuts them off though, so no FOR YOUR OWN GOOD or VERY ACCEPTABLE tonight.

Match #1: Rikishi/Too Cool vs. Steven Richards/The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan
This was VERY ACCEPTABLE for a five minute opener. The babyfaces made this average almost through force of personality. They had some cool offense and Rikishi's hot tag ruled. Steven bumped around very well on the finishing run, and yeah. Stevie cuts off the Worm with the Steviekick for the upset.
**1/2

Footage airs from Heat of Coach interviewing Kurt Angle and asking him about Smackdown. Kurt says he doesn't have to give anyone an explanation. Then Stephanie arrived and she asked Coach where Triple H was, and he said he wasn't here. She asked where Kurt was and Coach pointed to the left, so she went to the right. Then later on on Heat, Kurt Angle went into the McMahon-Helmsley locker room and smiled.

Footage then airs of the kiss on SD.

In the back, Cole asks Shane about his sister. He says he loves his sister and supports her every decision, but he sees Steve Blackman coming and runs away.

Match #2: Road Dogg vs. X-Pac
This also only gets about 5 minutes. They do their thing and work a nice little partner vs. partner match. Lots of counters, but no outright cheating, since they're still friends. They each try to embarrass each other and then try to top each other. X-Pac has to sneak in a low blow and he then hits the X Factor for the win. This was way too short, but they still did a lot with the time they were given.
**1/2

AND THIS AMAZING SIGN DEBUTS:

Posted Image

X-Pac gets on the mic and says that since he's the better man, they should reform the team now. Road Dogg responds with the Pumphandle Slam, and he walks out on X-Pac.

JR plugs a local steak house. Amazing.

In the back, Eddie and Chyna again say that either of them winning the IC Title is cool as they WALK~

Match #3: Val Venis [c]/Trish Stratus vs. Eddie Guerrero/Chyna [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
Lawler pretending 2000 Trish Stratus and Chyna are on the same level of attractiveness or even something approaching the same level, since early 2000s Trish is in a class of her own, is entirely insane. Val vs. Eddie is pretty great, as expected. Val bumps well and even makes Chyna look competent. Eddie isn't at his best here, as he's getting sloppy on a lot of stuff. I love Val, but at no point should he be the best guy in a match with Eddie Fucking Guerrero. Chyna gets Trish alone at the end and hits her with a Military Press Slam to win the title. UGH. HORRIBLE. UGH. Match was good though.
**1/2

Val is furious at Trish, and he storms off to the back. Eddie halfheartedly celebrates with Chyna, but smiles big whenever she's looking.

In the back, Janet the makeup lady talks to Stephanie about the kiss, and Stephanie says Kurt kissed her, clearly. Janet says the ladies are having a debate over if Kurt is hot or not, and Stephanie says he IS a good kisser.

Footage aired of Tazz's action on SD, and JR has stitches near his eye. Lawler says he has a plan and has some candy from JR's candy jar. They claim this is always there, but it very clearly is making its first appearance tonight.

Tazz comes out for his match pretending to be blind, so Lawler punches him on the floor when he gets near.

Match #4: Jerry Lawler vs. Tazz
This was also only 4 minutes and mostly really good. Lawler's motivated, and Tazz is doing alright for himself. Lawler has a great initial flurry, but Tazz then starts to take him apart. Lawler's right hands are goddamn Jerry Lawler right hands. Tazz keeps mocking and antagonizing JR. There's a ref bump and Taz puts the Tazmission on, AND JR BREAKS THE CANDY JAR ON HIS HEAD! YEAH! Lawler covers to win.
**1/4

In the back, Lillian tries to ask Shane McMahon about Kurt and Stephanie, but Blackman shows up, so Shane runs away again.

Match #5: Shane McMahon [c] vs. Steve Blackman [WWF Hardcore Championship]
This was awesome! If there is such a match archetype as sociopathic martial arts master vs. coward heel, this is perfect as that. Tons of cool spots as they worked the general story of Shane just trying to run away. Test & Albert came out to interfere and made good targets too. They take Steve to the stage and try to crush his leg like they did to Big Show at Judgment Day, but he moves! He gets his stick back and lays out Test and Albert, but Shane tries to climb up the side of the entrance to get away, BUT BLACKMAN FOLLOWS HIM! He has the stick with him, AND HITS SHANE AND SHANE FALLS ALL THE WAY OFF INTO THE CRASH PAD HOLY SHIT. BLACKMAN JUMPS OFF WITH AN ELBOW AND REGAINS THE BELT!
***

EMTs come out and stretcher Shane McMahon out.

In the back, Kurt Angle finds Stephanie, and she is freaking out and asks if Shane is okay. Kurt says he's tough and he'll be fine, and he hugs her. Mick Foley comes in and they immediately jump apart and deny anything. Mick says he thinks Shane landed right on his KISSER, and they might need to check on him, and he and Stephanie leave.

Hype video for Benoit/Jericho.

Match #6: Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho [Best of Three Falls]
This is only 13 minutes and that's ridiculous, but it's still these two for 13 minutes, so it's a great match. They start off with this amazing brawl, and Benoit is then able to toss Jericho shoulder-first into the post. Jericho keeps him away from it, but Benoit being the genius he is baits Jericho back into throwing hands, and catches his arm to put him into the Crossface to go 1-0 at 3 minutes. He keeps on the shoulder and neck with everything and has this series of nasty punches to the neck on the mat. Jericho's arm selling is fantastic, and his comeback is all using the right arm. Going to straight forearms and brutal right handed punches to the face is also much more in line with Benoit's stuff than flying around and what not. He reverses a German into the Walls of Jericho to go 1-1 at around 8 minutes. They then go wild with offense, but Jericho still has some amazing arm selling and Benoit stays focused on the arm. Jericho re-injures his arm at the end upon hitting the Lionsault, so he goes wild with knees and roll ups, but Benoit rolls over in a schoolboy and grabs onto the ropes for the win.
***1/2

In the back, Triple H arrives.

A hype video airs for TLC.

Match #7: Edge & Christian [c] vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Hardy Boyz [WWF Tag Team Championship - TLC Match]
This is famous, I assume everyone's seen it. It's one of the best gimmick spotfests of all time. I could hear arguments for TLC2 and wouldn't be upset because that's just a little bit tighter. WrestleMania 2000 was sort of like a practice run, but after this, they have their shit down big time and are capable of amazing things. They escalate the match well, never repeat themselves, and play up the strong suits/weapons of each team. Huge huge spots, and yeah. Edge and Christian win.
****1/4

In the back, Triple H questions Stephanie about the kiss at the end of Smackdown, and she says she was barely conscious and Kurt took advantage of her. Triple H is pissed and tells her to stay away from Kurt and not to come out to ringside tonight.

Match #8: Terri vs. The Kat [Thong Stink Face Match]
Saturn and Al Snow are at ringside. This existed, and The Kat won.
POOP

At WWF New York, the Acolytes are getting drunk.

Match #9: The Undertaker vs. Kane
This wasn't technically a match since the bell never rung, but they fought for 6-7 minutes, so it should count. This is great though, and probably their best match against each other. Taker throws awesome punches all match, and Kane's really motivated with all his strikes too. Lots of HATE~, and for a brother vs. brother feud between demonic hellspawns, a lot of their matches are lacking that. Sloppy in the best possible way, and Taker unmasks Kane, but he runs away to hide his face and that ends it.
***

In the back, Kurt calls Stephanie on his cell phone. In the McMahon-Helmsley locker room, Stephanie picks up and pretends it's Linda. Triple H asks to talk to her, but Kurt hangs up on the other end.

Hype video for the main event.

Kurt Angle comes out first, and he gets on the mic. Kurt says people are expecting an apology for kissing Stephanie on Smackdown, but he would like to apologize FOR NOT DOING A HECK OF A LOT SOONER. He says he's an Olympic gold medalist and he didn't get them from backing down or second guessing himself. He did what he had to do, and he gave her the kind of passion Triple H could never give even if his life depended on it, and that is true! Triple H comes out and they immediately start fighting. Triple H is about to hit a Pedigree through the announce table, but it gives out and Kurt's head hits the concrete and he is OUT. The Rock comes out and the match starts.

Match #10: The Rock [c] vs. Triple H vs. Kurt Angle [WWF Championship - No Disqualification Match]
Kurt is taken away to the back, and Triple H and Rock have to do their thing once again. It's Triple H vs. The Rock in 2000 though, so it's really fucking good. Triple H hits Rock in the ribs with the hammer, and he works on that. Stephanie comes out to help and she helps Triple H get the title, BUT SHE ACCIDENTALLY HITS TRIPLE H! He kicks out and then makes her leave. In the back, she finds Kurt Angle and makes him go back to help and even drags him to the ring, BUT WHEN KURT GETS DOWN, HE LAYS OUT TRIPLE H ON THE FLOOR HAHAHAHA! He gets back in and they do more stuff. Triple H calls for the hammer and Stephanie slides it in, BUT KURT GETS IT FIRST! Stephanie comes in, but Kurt ducks a punch, AND TRIPLE H PUNCHES OUT HIS WIFE! KURT THEN KNOCKS OUT H WITH THE HAMMER! Rock gets rid of him and hits the People's Elbow to win.
***

Rock celebrates, but Kurt carries Stephanie off to the back!

WWF Raw is PENIS
August 28th, 2000
Greensburo, NC

In the back, Commisisoner Foley has Cole summoned, and he announces an all-star card for RIGHT HERE IN GREENSBURO, NORTH CAROLINA! He says that includes FOUR title matches, Jericho/Acolytes vs. Benoit/T&A, Chyna vs. Val for the IC Title, Blackman vs. Tazz for the Hardcore Title, and because this is one year ago to the day that the Rock and Sock Connection was formed, he books The Rock vs. Kane for the WWF Title! That's his decision, this is Raw, and that's FINAL.

In the parking lot, Triple H is pacing and JR says rumor has it that Triple H hasn't seen his wife since the end of SummerSlam.

Match #1: Chris Jericho/The Acolytes vs. Chris Benoit/T & A w/ Trish Stratus
They get six minutes, so this was really good. Jericho was on fire here against Benoit (as usual), and then Jericho vs. Albert was also really really good. Bradshaw got isolated by T & A, and hey, Albert and Benoit did their thing well, but Test isn't caring tonight. Jericho's hot tag is fantastic, and he beats Albert with the Lionsault.
**3/4

In the parking lot, X-Pac finds Triple H and tells him that Stephanie will be fine. He asks if he's seen her, and he shrugs and says no. Triple H says if he sees Kurt, he's beating the shit out of him, and says to tell him if he sees him

In the parking lot back from break, Road Dogg tells Triple H that as a married man, he understands, but says Stephanie can look out for herself. Kurt Angle's music plays in the arena, and H hears it in the parking lot with his supersonic Game hearing and storms off.

Kurt Angle comes out to the ring, and he gets on the mic. He says he has no memories of last night after his head hit the floor, and Your Olympic Hero suffered a horrible horrible concussion. He says he's been told that Triple H punched Stephanie in the middle of the ring and then got his butt kicked by The Rock, and he took her away from the ring and she was checked into a medical facility, and that's all he knows. And that is true. He says Triple H has always been a shady character in his book and what he did to a poor innocent girl like Stephanie was downright criminal. He says it's not acceptable to him. Oh, it's true. It's clear to him that Triple H was a lousy WWF Champion, and now he knows that makes even a lousier husband, and H comes out. He says Kurt didn't GET a concussion, he GAVE him a concussion. He demands to know where Steph is or he'll show him what criminal really is. Kurt asks if he's implying some kind of kidnapping, but he's the one who hit his wife, not Your Olympic Hero. He says he has no idea where his wife is, and smirks pretty broadly. Triple H says Kurt plays a hell of an ignorant jackass, he's the best ignorant jackass they've got here, but he's not buying it, and Kurt needs to remember who he's dealing with. Kurt wants to call him a shady character? YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT HE'S A SHADY CHARACTER. He's the king of the underhanded, so this isn't fooling him for a second, and Angle says that maybe he knocked some sense into Stephanie, and she's realized what a bastard he is. H shoves Kurt out to the floor, and referees rush out to separate the two. Fantastic segment.

Match #2: Chyna [c] w/ Eddie Guerrero vs. Val Venis [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
Trish comes onto the stage to watch, and JR says Val refused to let her at ringside. This is mostly Val dominating, until Eddie distracts the ref, and Chyna goes to the eyes and hits two low blows and a testicular claw. On the floor, Val takes over and goes for the Money Shot, but Trish walks down. Val yells at her to leave and goes to the floor. Eddie attacks him on the floor now, because it's Eddie. Chyna schoolboys him in the ring to win.
**

Val yells at Trish up the ramp as they leave.

In the back, Cole interviews Angle. He says he's starting to remember after the hospital, and he remembers being in a hotel lobby with Stephanie, and they went into a room together.

The RTC comes out and Steven gets on the mic. He says they fought and won the good fight for all of them, and they continue to be booed. Clearly, their constitution is archaic and their founding fathers didn't intend for the freedom of expression to be taken to such lengths. He says Rikishi's fat disgusting rear end is unacceptable, violence is unacceptable, and scantily clad women are unacceptable. The fact that Rikishi brought those women back makes this personal, and he's disappointed that here in the Bible Belt, they don't care. He says someone has to fight for their children, someone has to fight the good fight and make this world a better place, and someone must be here to stop people like Rikishi and teach him the words "appropriate behavior", and he will sacrifice his well-being to censor material that he finds indecent and inappropriate, because nobody else will. And if they don't know what's good for them and their children, they do. Rikishi, Too Cool, & the hos come out and clean house and RTC bails.

In the back, Triple H and Chyna talk. She says trust is so important and it's why her and Eddie work so well. She tells him to give Stephanie a chance, and they hug. Eddie storms in and says this is his mommy and shoves Triple H down. They walk out arguing, and H asks why everyone is insane.

Edge and Christian come out, and this is the epic segment where they bring out midget versions of the Hardyz and Dudleyz and pose with them. The Hardy Boyz run out and clean house using the mini tables and mini ladders. They bring in real ladders, and set up for the Event Omega, but Christian pulls Edge to safety.

In the back, Kurt Angle convinces Eddie to fight for his woman and challenge Triple H to a match tonight.

Match #3: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Tazz [WWF Hardcore Championship]
This is under three minutes, but Blackman is the absolute kind of short Hardcore Title matches, so this is a ton of fun anyways. They do the usual cool brutal Blackman spots with kendo sticks and garbage cans, before Tazz hits Lawler at ringside with a garbage can lid. He tries to choke him out, but JR hits Tazz with the lid, and Blackman hits a Bicycle Kick off the apron to retain.
**1/4

Lawler hits Tazz with the announce table chair, and referees pull them apart.

In the back, Eddie challenges Triple H to a match. Triple H laughs, but accepts and says he wrote a check his ass can't cash especially when he's this upset, and as a vague threat, Eddie screams I'LL CASH YOUR CHECK, ESSE! FUCK YEAH INANE EDDIE THREATS!

Match #4: Lita [c] vs. Jackie [WWF Women's Championship]
This is by far the best women's match in 2000 by virtue of at least trying at a veteran vs. spunky newcomer story for the three minutes that this got. Lita won with the Moonsault.
*3/4

Edge and Christian come down, and Edge Spears Lita for the first time. They stomp on her, until the Hardy Boyz run back down to save, and E & C flee the thing.

In the back, Kane says if people want to be scared of him, he'll give them something to be scared of. The one thing he would enjoy more than beating his brother to a bloody pulp is to beat the People's Champion, because then the monster will represent the people as the WWF Champion.

In the back, Eddie tells Chyna to stay in the back.

Match #5: Triple H vs. Eddie Guerrero
This is probably the best they could have done with three and a half minutes, unfortunately. This had a lot of cool little things here, and to Triple H's credit, he made Eddie look really good as opposed to the exceptional subtle burying in their 2004 match. Eddie's bumping and selling here was particularly impressive. H was set for the Pedigree, but Kurt ran in and hit him with a chair for the DQ.
**1/2

Kurt then also nails Eddie Guerrero with the chair. Chyna runs down with the chair, and somehow Kurt is afraid of her and bails. I do not understand this at all, but at least we're just about in the closing run of Chyna being a thing. She checks on both Triple H and Eddie.

Match #6: Perry Saturn/Terri vs. Al Snow/The Kat
Well, this happened and somehow got a minute longer than Eddie vs. Triple H. Saturn/Snow was passable for the 30 seconds or so that they were in at the end, but it was far better than awful Kat/Terri shit. NAKED MIDEON~~~~ debuted here, doing a run in to briefly dance before running away again. Saturn made Kat tap out to to the Rings of Saturn.
1/2*

In the back, The Rock cuts a promo with Kevin Kelly. FINALLY, THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO GREENSBURO. He says he has a question for Kelly, and asks if he's mentally and physically prepared to lick the anus of a monkey, and asks why he asks him stupid questions and why he's a hermaphrodite. Nobody knows. Last night, The Rock went to hell and back, and he's STILL the WWF Champion. As for tonight, The Rock has to fight 7'' and 330 pounds of monster. He has the nerve to run his mouth about taking his title and representing the people, and says there ain't but one man who represents the people. The Rock, The Brahma Bull, the same man who's gonna whoop his burned up candy ass all over Greensburo. IF YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN.

Match #7: The Rock [c] vs. Kane [WWF Championship]
Good main event. Rock basically works his match with Kane, and since Kane's motivated, it works pretty well. Kane manages to kick out of the Rock Bottom, which is a pretty big deal. Kane threw Rock out in the crowd, and as the ref tended to him, The Undertaker rode down and Chokeslammed Kane. Rock got back in, and hit the Rock Bottom to win.

Stephanie comes down to the ring to make her return, and is smiling. She says she was fine, and spent all the night after Summerslam in the hospital with Shane. It's true! Kurt Angle comes out after that and replays the footage of Triple H punching Steph. She says it's an accident, and then Kurt plays the Triple H/Chyna hug from Raw, and says they were reuniting. Steph is almost in tears, and Chyna comes out. She says Kurt is an idiot, and Kurt shows footage of her tending to Triple H on Raw after the match. She comes down to the ring from the stage, and Stephanie gets in her face and screams. Chyna shoves her, so Kurt hits the Angle Slam. Eddie runs down, and Kurt and Stephanie leave together. Fantastic.

In the back, Steph and Kurt discuss it in the locker room, and Triple H comes in. Angle quickly bails as Steph holds him back, and she cries and screams about Chyna. H says it meant nothing and they're only friends. See how that feels? No? Nobody points that out then. H leaves and says he's gonna cool down.

Match #1: Road Dogg vs. Bull Buchanan w/ RTC
This happened for a few minutes, but Road Dogg did a good job carrying it. Dogg being a babyface again is for the best, as it's his natural role, since he's so likable. Dogg counters the Scissors Kick into a slam for the win.
**

Dogg bails and the RTC are mad.

In the back, Eddie demands Kurt, so Foley books Eddie vs. Angle vs. H.

Match #2: The Hardy Boyz/Lita vs. Edge/Christian/Jackie
This was a ton of fun. Lots of women attacking men and fast paced shit that all looked awesome and an insanely hot hometown crowd the the Hardyz. They hit the Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb to win.
**1/2

In the back, Kurt tells Stephanie that he's always there for her if she needs it, and understands that she might need space.

Match #3: Perry Saturn [c] w/ Terri vs. Al Snow [WWF European Championship]
This was pretty good for three minutes, with some nice false finishes down the finishing run. Al again tries to force in the RVD/Lynn roll up sequence when the situation absolutely does not call for it. Al reversed the Rings of Saturn into a Dragon Sleeper with a body scissors to win the title.
**1/4

In the back, Triple H and Stephanie talk out the Chyna thing and it's cool. H then brings up Kurt, and Stephanie insists that they're just friends. H talks about Kurt and starts throwing shit like a goddamn maniac, and Stephanie screams at him to stop.

NEXT: BENOIT VS. TAKER IN A #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH!

In the back, Al Snow says he will bring honor back to this title and to all the citizens of Europia.

Match #4: Chris Benoit vs. The Undertaker [#1 Contender's Match]
They have the same style of match they did on Raw a few weeks ago. It's also upsettingly short at under four minutes, because this can't ever ACTUALLY happen. Awesome intensity from both men, good knee work from Benoit, awesome Benoit bumping, and a run-in finish. They hype that the #1 Contender can be decided on pin or submission only, but Kane runs in and attacks Taker....for the DQ. Yeah!
**1/2

All three fight, and then The Rock comes down. Rock and Taker clean house, and Kane and Benoit are driven out.

Match #5: Chris Jericho vs. Tazz
As expected, Jericho totally carries this. On the floor, Tazz cheap shots Lawler, and he responds in kind. In the ring, Tazz loses to the Lionsault.
**

Post-match, Tazz and Lawler again have to be held apart.

In the back, Just Joe tells Kurt he heard loud violent noises in the Mc-H locker room.

Earlier today, The Dudleyz caught Kaientai mocking them, and they ran away screaming NO TABLE PLEASE NO TABLE.

Match #6: The Dudley Boyz vs. TAKA Michinoku/Sho Funaki
The APA come out for this, and as the 3D is hit, Faarooq distracts the ref, and D-Von eats the Clothesline From Hell. He pulls Funaki on top for the upset, and the APA leave.
**

With the APA gone, the Dudz kill KDX, and hit the Superbomb through the table.

XFL HYPE PIECE~. They show up the teams, and hype opening night on Feb. 3rd, 2001. I had a Chicago Enforcers pendant at one point, so this rules.

In the back, Kurt asks Steph if she's okay, and she says she's fine.

In the back, Val dumps Trish as a manager.

Match #7: Rikishi w/ Hos vs. Val Venis
This was really good as always with these two...for 2 minutes, before RTC came down. Too Cool came down to cut them off, but Steven KO'd Rikishi with the ring bell, and Val covered to win. Goddamnit, you keep Val Venis away from this group. It's gonna kill his career. :(
**

In the back, H and Stephanie make up again about his anger. The cops come in and say they had a report of spousal abuse. Stephanie repeatedly says she made no complaint and she's his wife, and they take him out of the arena. Foley comes over to see what's happening, and they load him in the car and leave. Mick changes it to Eddie vs. Kurt, and makes Stephanie go in Kurt's corner. Good, because that Chyna is a worthless piece of shit who can't not cheat.

Match #8: Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero
As noted, the women are there. Steph is very reluctant to be there. Cole again proves his complete retardation, as he calls Kurt swinging at Chyna in response to Chyna punching him in the face on the floor for no reason a cheap shot. Anyways, they have a decent match but not really doing a whole lot, I guess. Much more focus on outside stuff, Kurt takes Chyna's IC Title and hits Eddie with it to win.
**1/2

Chyna comes in and knocks Kurt to the floor. HORRIBLE. Anyways, Stephanie talks shit on Chyna, and Chyna DDT's her. Kurt pulls Stephanie out and takes her up the ramp to safety to end the show.

TONIGHT: E&C VS. ROCK AND TAKER FOR THE TAG TITLES! CHYNA VS. KURT ANGLE FOR THE IC TITLE! DUDLEYZ VS. APA IN A TABLE MATCH! BENOIT VS. KANE IN A #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH!

Triple H and Stephanie come out to open the show, and H gets on the mic. He says he's done some terrible things and some heinous things, and mostly, he's pretty damn proud of all of them. But one thing he's never done is hidden who he is and what he does, and when he does something and it's time for payback, he's the one standing tall. He's taken what he had coming because he can accept people wanting revenge for horrible things he's done, it's just part of the game. What he can't accept is what happened Thursday night, because he should have been standing here and doing what he does best, but he sat in some hole in the wall police department getting questioned about if he hit his wife on purpose. His wife was forced to go to the ring with Kurt Angle, then to get beat up by Chyna, and that's unacceptable. He says he wants answers about who made that phone call and filed that report, and he'll sit here until that person stands up. Mick Foley comes out and says last Thursday was serious business, and he intends on getting to the bottom of it, because what happened to him on Thursday ruined both Triple H's evening and his Smackdown main event. He says he tried to narrow the field down and asked who would have just cause to harm Triple H, and he narrowed the field down to around 357 people. He asks if it's Stephanie then and says he's seen the look in her eye when Kurt Angle is around, and it's easy to get rid of the jealous husband problem if the husband isn't there! She denies it and screeches and Foley then accuses Triple H and he laughs. Foley asks why he would want to call the police on himself, and then asks if that's what he WANTS them to think! He says this is a great way to get sympathy from his wife, and H calls him a jackass. Triple H then blames Mick Foley for it, and calls him a miserable, twisted, bitter man trying to ruin his marriage after he retired him. Foley says there's only one candidate left, and calls Kurt Angle down. Kurt Angle comes out to ringside and says this is ridiculous, and he says he's been wrongly accused. He says he didn't like how Hunter brutally hit his good friend Stephanie, but he wouldn't call the cops, and Kurt says there's someone who wants to see Triple H and Stephanie break up more than anyone, and it's Chyna! Foley invites Chyna out next, and she comes out onto the stage. She says Mick has a job to do, and while she enjoyed DDTing Stephanie on Smackdown, she had nothing to do with calling the police, and she's happy with Eddie Guerrero. Mick asks if it was him, so Eddie Guerrero also comes onto the stage. Eddie asks what they're talking about, ese, and says he wanted to kick Triple H's butt on Smackdown to prove it to Mamacita, and Foley has the wrong guy. Foley says these are his potential suspects, but nobody is confessing, and asks the people to tell him who they think did it. Kurt wishes people a Happy Labor Day to suck up, and everyone thinks Kurt did it. Test and Trish Stratus then come out and Test says he has a confession to make. He says 11/29/1999 was supposed to be the greatest moment of his life, and he was supposed to get money, power, and watch his career skyrocket, but Triple H took Stephanie from under his nose, and more importantly, the money, power, and the career. Test says he did, and Triple H finally paid for it. Foley then books Triple H vs. Test tonight. GOD DAMNIT. Test says payback is a lot like Stephanie, a BITCH. They then get pulled apart, and Test gets a cheap shot in.

The Rock comes down to do commentary.

Match #1: Chris Benoit vs. Kane [#1 Contender's Match]
They do stuff for three minutes, and Kane is in a serious not giving a shit mood, as he almost kills Benoit on a Reverse Suplex, and Benoit has to struggle to make this watchable. It goes to the floor, and Kane attacks The Rock at commentary, but Benoit hits Kane with a chair for the DQ.
**

Kane hits Benoit with the chair, and Rock hits the Rock Bottom to Kane on the floor.

Match #2: The Dudley Boyz vs. The Acolytes w/ Kaientai [Table Match]
This was under two minutes, so there's nothing really substantial going on here. A table was set up, and Kaientai missed Bubba and broke the flag on Faarooq. Bubba then Powerbombed Bradshaw through the table to win. This probably could have ruled if it got something like five minutes, but hey.
*1/2

Post-match, the APA kills Kaientai. They bring a table in, and they Powerbomb TAKA though the table, and Faarooq hits Funaki with the Dominator for good measure.

In the back, Eddie asks Commissioner Foley to let him in the Chyna vs. Kurt match because she needs his protection too and he wants to get his hands on Kurt Angle, so Foley makes the IC Title match into a three way, not that she needs his protection, but maybe they can do some double teaming, and says not to tell anybody he did it. Well, that's not going to work out well.

Match #3: Chyna [c] vs. Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
The Kurt/Eddie stuff here ruled, and Chyna was a steaming pile of shit as usual. This was helped a little by only being four minutes, since it meant Chyna wasn't in that long, so it was like three minutes of Eddie vs. Angle. Kurt hit Chyna with the belt, and Eddie threw Kurt out, not knowing Chyna was out. Eddie seemed conflicted, and he checked on Chyna, and accidentally covered her to win the title. FUCK YEAH EDDIE. THANK CHRIST.
**

Post-match, Eddie realizes what he's done and doesn't look THAT upset. Jerry says Eddie has finally won WWF gold, because the European Title isn't a belt, I guess.

In the back, Triple H tells Stephanie to stay in the back and watch.

In the back, Eddie and Chyna argue and she says she doesn't understand. Eddie says he was trying to help her, and it was an accident. Eddie says to take the belt if that's all she wants and he says she's more important than the belt. He begs, and Chyna says he deserves it more. Correct. They hug, and Eddie just smiles. Eddie's the man.

Match #4: Triple H vs. Test w/ Trish Stratus & Albert
This happened. A whole two and a half minutes worth of H no-selling shitty Test offense and fighting off 3 on 1, before he Pedigrees Test to win.
*3/4

He then also Pedigrees Albert, because T & A didn't need to be over anymore, having served their purpose getting the Hardys and Lita over. Steph comes down and they celebrate.

In the back, Mick asks Mideon not to run in on matches without any clothes anymore, and Mideon says that's okay and tries to hug him. Foley says no, and drops his clipboard. Mideon bends over to get it, and Foley is mortified by Mideon's asshole.

The Right to Censor comes out, and Steven says another has been saved, and it's VAL VENIS! GOD DAMNIT. Val Venis comes out, and he's very confused, and shakes his head. Steven points out that Val ditched the porn star image, got white trunks, and ditched the vixen and T & A, and he is one of them. Val says no, and calls them out on all their bullshit. Steven sees in a super creepy voice that if he's not with them, he's against them.

In the back, Bossman talks shit on Crash Holly, and Dean Malenko comes to his defense, so Bossman makes fun of little guys and leaves.

In the back, Edge and Christian talk about excuses to get out of the tag title match vs. Rock & Taker. Christian suggests genital warts sicne nobody will want to look down their pants to check. They high five. GENITAL WARTS RULES! Foley comes in and says if they have an illness, they're stripped of the titles and suspended. Also, genital warts does not rule, and can be quite painful and embarrassing, he's been told.

Match #5: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Big Bossman [WWF Hardcore Championship]
This was mostly very fun for three minutes. It went to the back, but Blackman makes that awesome too as he continues to make the best out of shitty HXC Title conventions, and Dean hit BBM with a garbage can and Crash threw hot coffee in his face. Blackman hit a Superkick to win.
**1/4

Blackman takes out Crash and Dean and yells that this is his house. FUCK YEAH BLACKMAN.

In the back, Tazz demands that Foley gives him Jericho and Lawler after Smackdown. Foley books a tag match, and says Tazz's partner will be a real monster who has won multiple WWF Titles.

It's RTC vs. Val and a partner of his choice, and he chooses...ROAD DOGG! AWESOME!

Match #6: Road Dogg/Val Venis vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan
They have an average match for two minutes, and Dogg rolls up Goodfather to win.
*3/4

Bull DDTs Val on the floor, and they lay out Road Dogg. They carry Val out of the arena and then in the parking lot, they throw him in a white van, and Steven drives them away, having abducted Val. It's over, guys. :(

Tazz's partner is.....NAKED MIDEON! Tazz is pissed, and Lawler immediately rolls him up for 3. Not even a match, really. I'm not counting this as a match.

During the break, Tazz attacked Lawler and used a strap to choke him out on the ramp.

Kane comes down, and the commentary team for the main event is JR and Kane. Awesome.

Match #7: Edge/Christian [c] vs. The Rock/The Undertaker [WWF Tag Team Championship]
This was mostly fun. Kane added some very insightful commentary. In case you did not know, he is a monster and was burnt as a child, since that's mostly all he talks about. The Hardy Boyz watch in the back, since they care about the Tag Titles a lot. The control segment on Taker lasted a bit too long and was pretty uninspired (although E&C doing it cleanly and with clubbering puts them over a lot), but the finishing run with Rock vs. E & C really kicked ass. Chris Benoit runs out, but Taker takes him out on the floor. There's great false finish with Edge saving from the Rock Bottom and hitting Rock with a chair, but he kicked out. Kane tried to use another chair, but Taker fought him to the floor. The ref was distracted with them, and E&C hit Rock with the Conchairto to retain.

TONIGHT: WORD FROM STONE COLD, ROAD DOGG VS. EDDIE, BENOIT VS. RIKISHI, H VS. T&A, DUDZ VS. APA IN A BAR ROOM BRAWL!

Lawler is out after Raw, and Tazz comes down to do commentary to show King his job isn't hard. AMAZING! TAZZ AND COLE 2 YEARS EARLY! Tazz yells at Cole to put over his jokes or he'll choke him out.

Match #1: Chris Jericho vs. X-Pac
Tazz complains about Jericho's stardom and loudly declares WHAT ABOUT ME?! Foreshadowing! "If I had to work with you for more than one night Cole, I would probably kill myself" - Tazz, as he fucking steals this match. They have a decent match for five minutes, totally overshadowed by Tazz no-selling 95% of the match and showing his future greatness. X-Pac gets a low blow and a backslide with his feet on the ropes to win. Why is he still being pushed? I love X-Pac more than most, but this is getting INSANE.
**1/2

In the back, Angle says he deserves a title match vs. Eddie, and is under a lot of pressure from all he's taken on. Foley says all he heard was that he wants a match, "under", and "taker", and thusly reads this as him wanting to face The Undertaker. So he books the match!

Edge and Christian come out and say they could brag about their win on Raw, SO THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY'LL DO! THEY BEAT THE ROCKERTAKER. Rock comes out and they have an awesome back and forth. Rock challenges them to a handicap match, but they want it under texas tornado kerry von erich rules and with the WWF Title on the line. Rock agrees for some insane reason.

In the back, H and Stephanie say it's just like Rock to try and top him, since it's H vs. T & A, and Triple H says he'll beat his opponents faster.

In a local bar, the APA wait for the Dudleyz to show up for a bar room brawl.

Match #2: Chris Benoit vs. Rikishi
THEY FINALLY HAVE OVER THREE MINUTES YEEEEEEEES! Benoit bumps huge, and this is mostly about Rikishi pushing through Benoit's offense to toss him around. The RTC came down though, and Rikishi fought them off. Benoit hit a really rough almost proto-Everest German Suplex to win, and it looked awesome in a legit kind of way.
***

RTC beats on Rikishi, and Too Cool runs down to save.

In the back earlier today, Chyna went on a womanly crying bitchfit about claiming Eddie used her to get to the top and she wanted to build a future, blah blah blah, my cunt is bleeding so I'll take it out on you, etc. Eddie says he doesn't need the belt and throws it, and throws a chair across the room. She's reduced to tears and Cole says Eddie is out of control BUT CHYNA STARTED THE FUCKING FIGHT WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU. Eddie yells at her to leave if she's not behind him, and she stays there crying like a cunt.

At the local bar, the Dudleyz show up and an awesome fight happens. D-Von is thrown through a wall, and Bubba through a table. Bradshaw says they've won, but realizes they KO'd the bartender, so he decides he is now bartender.

At ringside, LAWLER COMES THROUGH THE CROWD AND CHOKES TAZZ WITH THE STRAP AND BRINGS HIS EPIC FUCKING PUNCHES SHIT YEAH THIS RULES!

Back from break, Lawler takes his spot back.

Match #3: Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus
So, this happened. Albert was awesome, but Test and H were just kind of dogging it. There were brief spots with H trying and bumping big, but then he would just not give a shit for long stretches. Also, Cole tried to villainize Test for being mad that H DRUGGED AND DATERAPED HIS FUCKING FIANCEE. Stephanie attacks Trish on the floor, so Test tries to Powerbomb her. Kurt Angle runs down and takes out Test. Albert grabs Kurt, so he hangs him up on the top, and H hits the Pedigree to win. According to Cole, this makes Kurt Angle a snake.
**

In the back, Road Dogg tells Chyna she doesn't have to put up with Eddie. He shows up and asks who's corner she's in, and she leaves with him.

In the back, Triple H says he doesn't need Kurt's help and had it won. She asks where he was when Test almost Powerbombed her, and he says to not even go there.

Match #4: Eddie Guerrero [c] w/ Chyna vs. Road Dogg [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
This was a lot of fun. Dogg and Eddie both bumped really well for each other, and there were several fun moments. However, this was way more storyline based. Eddie kept yelling at Chyna to help, so she half-heartedly tripped up Dogg, and rolled over his inside cradle to help Eddie win.
**1/4

She apologizes to Dogg, and Eddie attacks Road Dogg from behind. She pleads with him to stop, and he does. He then turns back to hit him with the title, and Chyna is almost crying again, and she looks disgusted.

Apparently, neither Val Venis nor Steven Richards has been seen since the RTC abducted Val on Raw.

Match #5: Too Cool vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan
This sure happened. Rikishi ran down and interfered in revenge to give 2 Cool the win. I cannot wait for Val to come in and be the worker of the group. Jesus, do these two suck.
*

Post-match, Rikishi, Too Cool, & the hos dance.

At the bar, the APA & Dudley Boyz have made up and are drinking. Win. Kaientai shows up and yells for Sake, but Faarooq and Bubba break bottles over their heads.

Match #6: The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle
This was better than Fully Loaded, because Kurt actually wrestled this like he thought that he could beat Taker. In the back, Triple H and Stephanie watched. Steph was behind him, so Triple H didn't see her rooting for Kurt. Chris Benoit ran down though to cut it off from having a real ending, and he attacked Taker for the DQ. Shame.
**1/2

It's a 2 on 1, until Triple H runs down. Not for the save exactly, but he fights Kurt Angle away and to the back. Taker comes back on Benoit, and he hits the Last Ride.

In the back, Stephanie yells at H for attacking Angle after he saved her earlier. H says he hates Kurt and doesn't believe anything he says, and Stephanie asks who'll be there to help the next time Triple H is busy, and maybe it's better if she just gets hurt next time. What a biggity bitch.

A video message from Steve Austin airs. He says he's giving the person who ran him over until Unforgiven to step forward, otherwise starting at Unforgiven, he would interrogate everyone on the roster until he finds the culprit.

In the back, The Rock takes out Edge with a chair.

Back from break, Christian says the handicap WWF Title match goes on as planned, but he has a new partner...Kane!

Match #7: The Rock [c] vs. Kane/Christian [WWF Championship]
This is pretty much a Rock/Kane match and a Rock/Christian match. Christian plays an awesome sneaky heel here, and he and Kane eventually go at it. Kane tries to kill Christian on the floor, but Edge runs down to save. In the ring, Christian tries to hit Rock with a tag title belt, but he hits a flash Rock Bottom to retain.
**3/4

Kane attacks Rock, and I realize that they kind of just forgot about E&C vs. Hardyz this week of shows. Anyways, Kane Chokeslams Rock through the announce table to end the show.

WWF Raw is War
September 11th, 2000
Phoenix, AZ

Commissioner Foley comes out to open the show, and says we don't have to wait until Unforgiven to find out who ran over Austin. He invites down whoever did it to confess to a more forgiving Mick Foley rather than Steve Austin. The Rock then came out and everyone is in shock, and Lawler says it WAS Rock's car that hit Austin, but he had reported it stolen earlier that day. Dis continuity and actually remembering things from 10 months ago. Mick asks why he did it, and Rock says he didn't hit Austin, but he wants that big red retard Kane at Unforgiven for the WWF Title. Benoit comes out and says he deserves a shot and dares Rock to PROVE HIM WRONG, and so do Kane and Undertaker, and a brawl breaks out. Kane accidentally hits Foley, and officials break it up.

The video file then switches to Nitro, and Ric Flair is arrested during the David Flair/Ms. Hancock wedding in Charlotte, NC. A commercial airs for FAW BRAW, hyping Goldberg/Scott Steiner as Russo punishing Goldberg for "not following the script" at New Blood Rising, and tells us that this match will be 100% real. Well, you also said the match where Goldberg "didn't follow the script" was also real. There is a reason WCW died, bros.

And back to Raw!

In the back, Cole is with Commissioner Foley, and Foley says he's had a lot worse, and he books Rock/Taker vs. Benoit/Kane tonight, and says he will declare a #1 Contender by the end of the night.

Edge and Christian come down to do commentary.

Match #1: The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz [#1 Contender's Match]
This is unfortunately only two minutes, but since they have like a million matches together from 1999-2002, you can't be SUPER upset or anything. Still, it's only two minutes, so this is hardly great due to time. Edge pushed Matt off the top, but he fell back on top of Bubba, and the Hardyz won.
*1/2

Edge and Christian beat on the Hardys, but the Dudleyz get back in to make the save and they take Christian out with the Wassup Headbutt. A table is introduced, and Edge takes the 3D on the table. I say "takes", because the table does not break.

Match #2: Lita [c] vs. Ivory [WWF Women's Championship]
This was nothing for two minutes also. Naked Mideon ran in now with a fanny pack over his dick, danced, and left. Lita then hit the Twist of Fate while Ivory was distracted and offended, and hit the Moonsault to win.
1/2*

In the back, Kurt goes to Foley's office, and says it's not fair that he has a handicap match vs. T & A and denies anything to do with Steve Austin's untimely demise, and Triple H has the night off after his cowardly attack on him last week. Foley says he'll give Triple H a suitable opponent if Kurt stops talking. Foley's office is then wheeled out because he's on a golf cart. Fantastic.

BACK TO NITRO! They're still with the wedding, AND STACY TELLS DAVID HE'S NOT THE FATHER AND LEAVES HIM AT THE ALTER! There's an ICP sign in the background, and off to the side, groomsman Arn Anderson looks like he wants to die.

In the back earlier, Eddie begged for Chyna's forgiveness, and admitted he has anger issues, and they made up. Eddie said they have a tag match vs. Too Cool, and Chyna said they were all friends. Eddie then said as long as they all dance afterwords, it's cool.

Match #3: Too Cool vs. Eddie Guerrero/Chyna
This was all Eddie in the ring for the four minutes this went, so it was basically all good since he can get the best out of them. Chyna got involved at the end, but missed Eddie being pinned after the Hip Hop Drop because she's a total failure as a tag team partner.
**1/4

Post-match, Eddie said he was cool, and they all danced. Eddie bailed out, and then killed Too Cool with the IC Title. Rikishi ran down and attacked Eddie to save. He tried the Stink Face, but Chyna hit Rikishi with the title belt to save Eddie. They left to the back, and Chyna looked upset.

In the back, Triple H told Stephanie to stay in the back, because he doesn't trust what Foley has planned.

In the back, Chyna breaks the news to Eddie that she's gonna be nude in Playboy. He freaks out and throws shit. I would be upset too to find out this ugly whore is going to be naked in a magazine. Eddie is mad that his girlfriend is posing nude. I don't see how this is heelish, that's pretty fair. She should have at least discussed it with him first, shit.

Triple H comes out, and his opponent is Chris Jericho! Yay!

Match #4: Triple H vs. Chris Jericho
They have a fun 5 minute match, which while good and entertaining, is the clear weakest of their 4 singles matches in 2000 so far. Stephanie comes down to root on Triple H in spite of what he said, and Kurt Angle comes down to try and take her to the back. Triple H goes out and yells at Kurt, and X-Pac comes through the crowd to attack Chris Jericho for the DQ.
**1/2

H comes back in and yells at Pac and shoves him. He says Triple H is being a real asshole lately and leaves.

Match #5: The Acolytes vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan w/ Steven Richards
Hey, this is horrible for two minutes. Val Venis watches from the stage with a chair, and Bull wins with cheating.
3/4*

The brawl continues, and Val runs in with the chair. VAL ATTACKS THE APA AND HE SHAKES STEVEN'S HAND GODDAMN YOU! FUCK.

Al Snow comes out as a German now, complete with leiterhosen and a framed picture of David Hasslehoff. This is wonderful.

Match #6: Al Snow [c] w/ Head vs. Tazz [WWF European Championship]
This is about a minute before ref bump, and then Tazz throws Snow into Lawler on the floor. King takes the Hasslehoff pic and breaks it on Tazz, and Snow gets an inside cradle to win.
*

Tazz gets on the mic and says he's done with this, and he taps out as just another victim of the WWF.

Match #7: Kurt Angle vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus
Triple H and Stephanie watch in the back. Angle and Albert have amazing chemistry, which immediately makes this just barely better than H vs. T&A for the three minutes this gets. Trish attacks Kurt on the floor, and Stephanie is gone in the locker room, and H just notices. Great work. Stephanie runs down and beats up Trish, and T & A pull her in the ring. H runs down to save for the DQ.
**

Angle comes in, and he and H clear T & A from the ring. Kurt checks on Stephanie, which apparently just too much for Triple H now, so he attacks Kurt. Steph and referees to try to pull them apart, and the refs are taken out. Stephanie tries to pull H back, BUT TRIPLE H ACCIDENTALLY ELBOWS STEPHANIE! She gets up on the apron, and H whips Kurt off the ropes and he knocks her to the floor. He carries her up the ramp, but Kurt runs over and turns him around and punches H down while his hands were full! This angle is amazing.

In the back, Foley books Triple H vs. Angle for Unforgiven and makes himself the referee to make sure it ends for good.

We switch to Mondy Night Football, and it is Jets 7, Patriots 6 right now.

Match #8: Steve Blackman [c] vs. X-Pac [WWF Hardcore Championship]
This was a lot of fun, but not as great as their title match from July since that got something like 5-6, and this gets 3. They fight to the stage, and Jericho runs over and KO's Pac with a kendo stick and Blackman covers to retain.
**1/4

In the back, Chris Benoit tells Kane that regardless of who becomes #1 Contender, they have to work as a team tonight. Kane growls and walks away.

In the back, X-Pac beat up Jericho with nunchucks.

Mick Foley comes out to do commentary.

Match #9: The Rock/The Undertaker vs. Chris Benoit/Kane
This was good for five minutes. Rock/Benoit and Rock/Kane both ruled, but Taker didn't really look like he was feeling it tonight, and didn't really bump or try to look like his blows were connecting at all. Kane clotheslines Taker to block a Last Ride on Benoit, and Benoit gets the jacknife pin to win.
**1/2

Post-match, they all brawl, and Foley makes a four way for Unforgiven for the title.

Commissioner Foley comes out to open the show. He reiterates the two Unforgiven main events, but is worried that if all involved can't keep their hands off each other, there will be no Unforgiven main event, and he'll have to make a main event featuring Al Snow. The Rock comes out and says he'll always make it to a PPV, and Taker comes out. He says he wants the title, but he does things face to face. Benoit comes out and points out that he fucking pinned Taker on Raw, and there's no reason for a four way. Kane comes out and says he's a monster, etc., rape. Kurt Angle comes out and shits on H for hitting Stephanie again, and H runs out. Foley stops him and makes Kurt/H vs. T & A, APA vs. Kane/Benoit, and Dudleyz vs. Rock/Taker in a Tables Match, and says if any of them attacks their partners tonight, they lose their matches for Unforgiven.

Kurt runs off, and Kane and Benoit attack The Rock. Taker initially walks away, but then is like "...goddamnit, fine." and runs back in and kills them both.

Match #1: Chris Benoit/Kane vs. The Acolytes [No Disqualification Match]
This is an awesome brawl for like 3 minutes and they beat the shit out of each other, and then Benoit walks out on Kane. He never hit him, so he's still in the title match, and Kane gets pinned by both men after the Clothesline From Hell.
**

Earlier today, Eddie Guerrero tried to storm the Playboy Mansion, and ranted and raved about stopping the presses, but security wouldn't let him in.

Chyna sees this and cries some more and walks out of the building. Cole says she's embarrassed.

RTC comes out, and Val cuts a promo about why he's joined, saying he's grown up and learned to use his influence to try and make the world better, and he will fight the good fight. VERY ACCEPTABLE!

Match #2: Rikishi/Too Cool w/ Hos vs. Val Venis/The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan w/ Steven Richards
Val's parts in this ruled, and the super fucking hawt crowd made the other stuff worthwhile kinda. The faces cleaned house, and got Steven in and he got a Stink Face. The ref was distracted then, and Eddie Guerrero ran down and sprayed mace in his eyes. S2H was distracted, and Val hit the Blue Thunder Driver to win.
**

In the back, Trish motivates T & A.

Match #3: Triple H/Kurt Angle vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus
This was mostly fun. H and Kurt tagged each other progressively harder, and Trish interfered. Stephanie ran out and slapped Trish, and Test pulled her up. Kurt saved, and Kurt and H argued again after Kurt helped Steph up. Kurt begged H to hit him and undo the match, but Test hit H with a Full Nelson slam...for the win? What? Okay then.
**1/4

In the back, Tazz demands Foley cancel his contract, but Mick says he likes Tazz. To get him to stay, he books Tazz vs. Lawler at Unforgiven, and says neither man can touch the other until then.

Edge and Christian come out and say they didn't run over Austin, and if they had a time machine, they would correct it. OH WAIT! THEY DO! They bring out future Hardyz & Lita, and Matt has more hair in 2050 than he does in 2010. They go to attack them, but Foley comes out. He makes E&C vs. Hardyz at Unforgiven into a Steel Cage Match, and says while it might cause a tear in the space-time continuum, he brings out the current Hardyz and Lita. They clear the ring and luckily do not touch their future selves.

Match #4: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Perry Saturn w/ Terri [WWF Hardcore Championship]
Tazz comes through the crowd and sits in the front row behind Lawler and throws popcorn and talks shit all match. They have your usual really fun Blackman hardcore matches, but the Tazz/King stuff totally overshadows it. Blackman wins.
**1/2

Post-match, Tazz is thrown out by the security guy.

In the back, Taker says he's a professional, so he'll be there for Rock tonight.

Match #5: Chris Jericho/The Hardy Boyz w/ Lita vs. X-Pac/Edge/Christian
This was a ton of fun for the just under five minutes it was given. Constant action, Jericho wanting to kill X-Pac, and usual Hardy fun. the Hardyz and Jericho clean up, and the Swanton is hit. Then, after doing nothing all match, X-Pac pins Jeff after the Swanton Bomb. Why is this guy going over all the most over midcard babyfaces?
**3/4

In the back, The Rock says he doesn't trust The Undertaker or anyone else.

Match #6: The Rock/The Undertaker vs. The Dudley Boyz [Table Match]
This happened alright. Not bad, but nothing special. Tables were set up, and Bubba threw Rock into Taker. They threw Rock out, and hit Taker with a 3D through the one table to win.
**1/4

Post-match, both men get up, and Taker sends Rock through the other table with a Chokeslam.

WWF Raw is War
September 18th, 2000
Chicago, IL

This is the last Raw on the USA Network for 5 years!

Stephanie comes down to the ring and gets on the mic to open the show and pleads with Commissioner Foley to call off Triple H vs. Kurt Angle this Sunday. She says Triple H is the greatest husband ever, and she married Triple H the same moth that her good friend Kurt Angle came to work here, which was also the same month that Stone Cold got hit by a car, but she had nothing to do with that. She says this is a petty ugly issue and it's a brutal mess, and it can't go on. Kurt Angle comes out and says this match has to take place so he can teach Triple H a lesson. He says if he doesn't, she'll be even worse off, and shows a video of Triple doing horrible things to her, and says if he's come to the wrong conclusion, he'll leave, but Triple H is a bad guy. He says it can't have been an accident every time, but if she says the word, he'll leave. Triple H comes out and is surprisingly calm. He asks Kurt if he thinks he's an idiot, and says he puts together a little package, but he knew about his LITTLE PACKAGE. He says he made phone calls of his own and made a package too. He says he got to thinking that maybe he was wrong about Kurt Angle. Maybe this whole thing is a great big misunderstanding, because it dawned on him. Kurt's a 30 year old prime of his life physical specimen, and he could be defined as a stud. But yet in front of him stands a beautiful woman, but yet he stands in front of her and says he just wants to be her...friend. He asks what kind of a guy stands in front of a hot woman and just wants to be her friend. Triple H says maybe he'd like to go shopping for drapes with her, and says not to get accept, because there's nothing wrong with that. It's 2000, his lifestyle is totally acceptable. Kurt is mad, and Triple H says maybe national TV wasn't a good place for him to call him out on this, and it explains a lot. All the little smirks his direction, and asks if he befriended Stephanie to get close to him, but then cues the tape. He shows Olympic footage of Kurt crying, and says crying doesn't make him a sissy. Triple H says that was emotional, but maybe it's time he comes to terms with his true feelings. Commissioner Foley comes out to stop it. He says he grew up in a family of amateur wrestlers, and he wasn't on Kurt's level of course, but he has a lot of respect for what Kurt did in the 1996 Olympics, but all the same, HE WANTS TO SEE IT AGAIN AND THEY BOTH MOCK KURT HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! He tells Stephanie that the match will go down because this has to end, and books Triple H/Kurt/Stephanie vs. T&A/Trish tonight.

In the back, The APA run into the Right to Censor locker room and attack Goodfather and Bull, but Val and Steven come from behind and a 4 on 2 lays out the APA. :(

Match #1: The Dudley Boyz vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan w/ Val Venis & Steven Richards
Okay, hold the fuck on. Of all the 4 of them, Val is the one who is not wrestling. What the shit? This is some 3MB level decision making to get the shittiest team possible. This is like 3 minutes, and Val distracts the ref. Bubba gets a Stevenkick, and Bull covers to win. Could have been worse, I guess, but it was hardly good.
*3/4

It turns into a 4 on 2, but the APA runs down to save.

The Rock comes out, and he takes the mic. FINALLY THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO CHICAGO, etc. He says The Undertaker responded to losing by Chokeslamming him through a table, and says The Rock has never liked him and never will, but The Rock always respected him. He says he understands if he was angry about losing and if he's angry that The Rock is the WWF Champion and he's not, but instead of what he did, if he wanted a shot, all he had to do was ask. If he wanted a shot tonight...all he has to do is ask. The Undertaker comes out with the mic and says he heard him saying he respected The Undertaker, and back when he was in highschool in the back of his daddy's car, trying to get some off Mary Jane Rottencrotch, he was humping these roads and winning WWF Titles. He asks who the hell he is to call him out, and some people never learn, and he's one of them. He told him Thursday not to fuck up, then he goes and leaves him hanging in the ring and he gets put through a table. That pissed him off. He says he hopes he can back up the smack his mouth's spewing out, boy. He says he doesn't dress like Satan anymore, but he's still down with the Devil, and he WILL go medieval on his ass. Commissioner Foley comes out and books them against each other tonight, and Benoit and Kane come out, so Foley books them in a match too. They brawl to the back.

In the back, Eddie and Chyna talk and she forgives Eddie for Smackdown. Chyna says he's facing Rikishi tonight, and Eddie seems to miraculously have a cough develop. Poor guy.

Benoit and Kane brawl back to the ring.

Match #2: Chris Benoit vs. Kane
Kane is again not really feeling it here, and Benoit bumps around and all over for the four minutes this gets before using the ring bell for the DQ. I hate this pairing apart from Bad Blood 2004.
**

Benoit keeps up the attack, and hits the Diving Headbutt. As he leaves, Kane sits up.

In the back, Angle wishes Stephanie luck. Kurt asks H if he can go a week without hitting his wife, and H then asks if he can go a week without hitting on him. I legit lol'd at that. Credit where credit is due.

Match #3: Triple H/Kurt Angle/Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. T & A/Trish Stratus
This happened alright, and they at least for five minutes now. Albert/Kurt was really good again, but that's about it. Test tried to attack Stephanie after Trish Bulldog'd her, but Triple H made the save and hit the Pedigree, and pulled Steph on top to win. HAHAHAHAAHHAHAHA FUCK YOU TEST.
**1/4

Post-match, Kurt and Stephanie hug. They hug again, SO TRIPLE H TACKLES KURT DOWN! The whole "LOL UR A FAG" deal doesn't work as much if he still gets mad about them hugging, so this isn't a great idea. Triple H throws Kurt out and then shoves the ref down, but Stephanie gets him to stop.

In the back, Eddie is still sick, and Chyna says she'll go take on Rikishi instead.

Tazz comes out to do ring announcing for Rikishi/Chyna.

Tazz announces Rikishi at 6,000 pounds. Eddie stumbles out in a blanket, and Rikishi attacks him. Chyna saves, and Eddie again sprays mace in Rikishi's eyes. He leaves, and Rikishi hits Chyna with the Samoan Drop. He sets up for the Banzai Drop, but Eddie doesn't come in, and he hits it. He leaves, and then Eddie goes to check on her.

In the ring, WILLIAM FUCKING REGAL IS HERE TO BE OUR GOODWILL AMBASSADOR FUCK YEAH! He teaches America about table manners. He discusses proper napkin use, and Chris Jericho comes out. He asks him to shut the hell up, and throws all the silverware and shit to the floor. X-Pac runs down and jumps him with the nunchucks. Regal leaves, and X-Pac lays out Jericho before hitting the X Factor.

AND THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, THESE GUYS ARE HILARIOUS! FROM SOME PLACE IN CANADA, EDGE AND CHRISTIAN! Tazz rules.

Match #4: Edge/Christian [c] vs. Too Cool [WWF Tag Team Championship]
This was a ton of fun, and probably their best straight tag between the two. It's still only four minutes, but it's one of those Attitude Era matches where they basically just do a finishing run. E & C bump huge and Too Cool have their shit together to the point where it's made better by a super hot crowd, instead of being passable because of the super hot crowd. The multitude of false finishes ruled, and Edge ended up hitting Sexay with the tag title belt to retain.
**3/4

Security makes Tazz stop ring announcing now. :(

At WWF NY, Naked Mideon runs around.

Chris Benoit comes out to do commentary on the main event.

Match #5: The Rock vs. The Undertaker
Very good, but it's incredibly disappointing that it was only four minutes. They didn't do as much with this as the Tag Title match did, since it was more blatant time killing and not young dudes trying to steal the show. They did some good looking, and yet entirely aimless, brawling, and then jumped into a ref bumps and some good finish reversals. Taker got the Last Ride to win.
**1/2

Taker celebrates, and Kane comes down. Benoit and Kane attack Taker, but The Rock gets up. They clear the ring, and then Rock lays out Taker with the Rock Bottom to end the show.

A bunch, if not all, of the roster is at ringside as Foley is in the ring, and The Rock comes out last. Foley says he's using this last show before Austin comes back to figure it out, because he will have infinitely more mercy than Stone Cold. He says he's going to make a few predictions, and says the person who had the most to gain, and this won't be popular, but asks The Rock to come in. He comes in and says he's told Foley, the cops, and Austin himself that he did not do it, and that regardless of what happened to Austin, Rock would still be standing here as champion. Foley then says that Triple H had a lot to gain too, so he's his second suspect. He says he set Austin up at Survivor Series to get his ass kicked, because that's what he does, but he was not responsible for him being hit with a car. You lying motherfucker. He says maybe it was just a really bad driver, women are bad drivers, and Kurt Angle is like a woman. Kurt says he had no motive, and we should suspect the quiet ones. LIKE ESSA RIOS. AMAZING. Essa speaks Spanish, and Kurt says that's spanish for "I'm a bad man, and I should be punished." Kurt says if it's not Essa, it was Triple H and DX. X-Pac comes in and says it was Jericho, because X-Pac was busy helping Triple H set Stone Cold up. Jericho comes in and discusses Kurt's theory of motives, and says it was Stephanie. She says all the McMahons...and Test were there immediately to check on Austin, so it couldn't have been them. She says it was the most evil man in the WWF, The Undertaker. He calls Stephanie a sleazy tramp, so Kurt attacks him. A brawl breaks out in the ring between all the Unforgiven opponents, and Essa Rios kind of just stands there. Fuck yeah Essa Rios. The babyfaces run off the heels.

Tonight: Rock/H/Taker vs. Benoit/Angle/Kane

Match #1: Val Venis w/ Steven Richards vs. Scotty 2 Hotty
This happened. S2H is awful here after the awesome match on Raw, and Val is solid as usual. The rest of the RTC comes down, as does Sexay. Val breaks up the Worm on Steven with a Perfect Plex to win.
*3/4

It's a 4 on 2, and Too Cool are laid out.

In the back, H and Stephanie talk. Triple H says there's been other Olympic athletes like how Kurt is and maybe it's just a weird coincidence. Flowers are delivered from Kurt Angle as a congratulations for beating Test, and H says he guesses the flower shop was out of pansies. BECAUSE OF GAY.

The Hardy Boyz come out to cut a promo, but in the back and thankfully before they can say anything substantial, Edge and Christian watch and mock the shit out of the Hardy's old home movies of them cutting promos as kids. The Boyz run to the back, and into the room. Edge and Christian ambush them from behind, and they hit Matt with a Conchairto!

Al Snow comes out representing Spain, with a bullfighting hat, a pinata, and a framed picture of Ricardo Montalban. This is the best Al's been in forever.

Match #2: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Al Snow [WWF Hardcore Championship]
This turned into total chaos as Saturn, T & A, Crash Holly, and Kaientai all ran down. Blackman came back to the ring and killed everyone. Saturn hit a bunch of people with an Asai Moonsault, and Blackman Superkicked a trash can into TAKA's face to retain.
**1/2

Via videotape, Stone Cold says he's opening up his own persona investigation at Unforgiven, as well as the biggest can of whoop ass that the WWF has ever seen. Everyone is a suspect, and guilty until proven innocent. DTA.

Shane McMahon returns, and walks down to the ring. He says that after he woke up alone in a hospital after SummerSlam (conflicting with Stephanie's story of being with Shane all night. INTRIGUE.), he went home to do physical therapy, but Stone Cold's return has motivated him to come back, in a way. He says none of his family could have done it, but at Unforgiven he will aid Austin and show him and the world who he knows did it.

In the back, Triple H asks Stephanie why Shane said he was alone if she said she was there. She says he was just concussed, and probably doesn't remember. Triple H is suspicious but says he believes her, and she walks out of the room in a hurry. FUCK YEAH KURT.

Match #3: Chris Jericho/Jerry Lawler vs. X-Pac/Tazz
Lawler and X-Pac do the best adaption of the Raiders of the Lost Arc scene ever, as Pac shows off all his karate poses, before Lawler just punches him in the face. This is mostly an epic Lawler/Pac match with X-Pac trying here so that he can go back to sucking for a month again as he always does in 2000. Tazz then attacks Lawler with a strap again and that's a DQ.
**1/2

Jericho chases Pac off, and Tazz chokes out Lawler with the strap.

In the back, Chyna yells at Eddie and says he's not the same guy she fell in love with, and walks out on him. What a bitch.

JR comes out to do commentary in King's place.

Eddie Guerrero comes out and calls out Chyna. She comes out, and he pleads for her forgiveness, you are my world, i would die without you, etc. Rikishi comes out and says he'll deal with Eddie at Unforgiven, but one of his boys works at Playboy HQ in Chicago, and he shows footage of Eddie again trying to get into Playboy headquarters and being thrown out. Rikishi leaves, and Chyna says she can't do this anymore. Eddie pleads again, AND EDDIE PROPOSES MARRIAGE, AND SHE SAYS YES.

As we come back, 30 seconds of an APA/RTC match air, and the APA wins after Too Cool comes down to take out Val and Steven. It turns into a 4 on 2 on Too Cool, and the Dudley Boyz run down to save. THE DUDLEYZ AND THE MOTHERFUCKING ACOLYTES THEN DANCE WITH TOO COOL SHIT YEAH

Match #4: The Rock/Triple H/The Undertaker w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. Chris Benoit/Kurt Angle/Kane
So, this was awesome. Big 10 minute trios match with awesome Benoit/Taker, Rock/Kurt, and Rock/Kane parts. Kane vs. Triple H was kept to a minimum, and shit ruled as a result. Rock was an awesome FIP, and proving that he can do almost no wrong in 2000, Triple H even has a great hot tag. Kane and Benoit fought Rock up the stage, and then they fought to the back too. Taker tried to run Rock over, but Rock dodged. Taker rode off to the back, and Rock went after him. In the ring, H whipped Kurt into Stephanie on the apron and got a schoolboy to win.
***

H celebrates in mocking fashion to Kurt, fake crying and everything. He then goes to check on Stephanie, BUT KURT HITS THE ANGLE SLAM! FUCK YEAH! He goes out and gets a sledgehammer. Stephanie pleads with him, BUT KURT HITS TRIPLE H IN THE GUT WITH THE HAMMER! AND KURT KISSES STEPHANIE FUCK YEAH! He tells H to ask his wife if he kisses like a pansy, and asks who's crying now. KURT FINALLY DOES IT, AND IT'S THE GREATEST. Triple H very clearly had that coming for months.

WWF UNFORGIVEN 2000
SEPTEMBER 24TH, 2000
PHILADELPHIA, PA

Match #1: The Dudley Boyz/The Acolytes vs. The Right to Censor

This an inoffensive enough six minute opener. The babyfaces, Val, and Stevie do their best to get something decent out of a match with Goodfather and Bull, and they mostly succeed. Bubba has a good hot tag and cleans house, but the APA are nowhere to be found as it's the Dudleys against all four. Bubba ducks a clothesline from Val, but runs into the Steven Kick, and Val takes the cover for the win!
**

They keep fighting, and the Acolytes get back in and get rid of the Goodfather, Val, and Buchanan. The Dudleys hit Steven with the Wassup Headbutt, and while Bradshaw and Simmons murder Steven with delightfully stiff kicks and slaps, they put a table up. Steven then gets the Superbomb through the table and everyone is happy.

In the back, Stephanie says she has a bad feeling about tonight and asks Triple H how his ribs are. He says he'll be fine and says tonight, he's going out to end Kurt Angle, and if she's going to ringside, he has to know if she can handle that. She says that's fine and she's his wife and stands behind him, and she's sorry for ever defending Kurt Angle. He says he was never her friend, and says she needs to ask herself if her "friend" was worth it. This turn is going to be amazing!

Match #2: Jerry Lawler vs. Tazz [Strap Match]
This is also really short at only five minutes, but unlike the opener, that disappoints me. They had lots of good strap shots, and Lawler was Lawler. Tazz looked like he cared here, which is nice to see again. Then, Tazz fucks it up by trying an ECW callback by no-selling a Piledriver. HEY TAZZ STOP FUCKING NO-SELLING PILEDRIVERS. HE NO SELLS TWO OF THEM. IT'S NOT SOME BULLSHIT SHANE DOUGLAS OR CHRIS CANDIDO CHICKENSHIT HEEL PILEDRIVER, NO. IT'S FUCKING JERRY LAWLER. He finally goes down on a 3rd one, and the ref is bumped. RAVEN RUNS IN AND HITS THE EVENFLOW ON LAWLER TO A MASSIVE POP. Tazz then gets the Tazzmission to win, and Raven leaves through the crowd.
**1/4

Tazz celebrates, and soon after, Vince sees Raven hanging around backstage and throws a fit, yelling "WHO THE FUCK HIRED RAVEN?!"

In the parking lot, Steve Austin's truck arrives and Kevin Kelly asks him stuff, but he says he's asking questions tonight and throws Kevin Kelly into the wall.

Michael Cole comes out to replace Lawler. Damnit.

For the next match, Al Snow comes out with a pizza box, a leather jacket, and a framed picture of Tony Danza to represent Italy.

Match #3: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Perry Saturn vs. Al Snow vs. Test vs. Crash Holly vs. Sho Funaki [WWF Hardcore Championship - 10 Minute Invitational]
Terri and Trish Stratus are on the floor. Basically, whoever holds the title at the end of 10 minutes wins, so it's a better version of the cool idea from WrestleMania. The first half of this is full of insane bumps and Blackman being Blackman. The best of which is Saturn beating Benoit to the punch by four months and taking a Tope Suicida into a garbage lid shot. Saturn has the title for 4-5 minutes in the middle, and it slows down again before the final minute, when Blackman goes nuts on everyone and pins Saturn to take it back after a kendo stick shot. Blackman then just fucking leaves with 50 seconds left, because he's the greatest ever.
**3/4

In the back, Kurt Angle is walking and finds Steve Austin there. He says he's Kurt Angle, and he's sure he's heard of him. He says the Olympics celebrate hard work and courage, kind of like his comeback, and because he's come back to the WWF and for the fact that it's too late for him to win one of his own, he presents him with an honorary gold medal. He puts it on him and says it's not as big as his, but he didn't earn it, so it's a good deal. Austin says he's gonna keep it in a real special place, up his ass, and he beats Kurt down. Agents come over, so Austin throws it off and leaves. They're off to a bumpy start, but they'll be best friends in 9 months.

Match #4: Chris Jericho vs. X-Pac
They got nine minutes, so this was really good if not totally great, due to the ending coming right as they were getting going. They work so well together, and now the tables have turned where Jericho's the one getting the best out of X-Pac, as opposed to Unforgiven 1999, when X-Pac had the first great WWF match for Jericho. X-Pac, probably high, trying to outdive Jericho and then celebrating any time he does something right is FANTASTIC. Jericho catches a Flying Dropkick and puts on the Walls for the tap out .
**3/4

Jericho refuses to let go for a while in payback, before referees make him let go. X-Pac gets the nunchucks out and beats Jericho up with them. So I suppose this feud will continue. :(

In the back, Kurt Angle complains to Commissioner Foley about Austin. He says he might not be 100% because of Stone Cold, but he'll still win, and the night before the Olympics, he had a head cold. Foley says he doesn't care what he has and as a referee, he's not going to do a whole hell of a lot, but he's decided to do even less after Smackdown, and now it's a No Disqualification match AND THAT'S FINAL.

In the back, Steve Austin goes into The Rock's dressing room, and they have a staredown, before Rock shakes Austin's hand. Austin says they're cool, but that was The Rock's rental car, and asks him to think back. The Rock says anybody could have taken his keys. Just Joe comes in and says he heard something in the locker room, but Austin says he heard it too, and kicks the shit out of Joe. FUCK YOU, JOE.

Match #5: Edge & Christian [c] vs. The Hardy Boyz [WWF Tag Team Championship - Steel Cage Match]
This is awesome. They immediately start smacking the shit out of each other, and at 13-14 minutes, there's no wasted time at all. Jeff gets caught on top of the cage early on, and Edge trips him. Jeff falls over the side and can't hang onto the cage top, so he falls out, and Matt's isolated in a really inventive way. He has some offense, but after a Double Superplex off the top of the cage, he gets beat up, and takes some gross stuff into the cage. Jeff keeps getting cut off from getting back in, and even when he's not really in the match, he's taking the hugest bumps of the night off the cage to the floor. JEFF GETS THE KEY FROM THE REF AND SLIDES A CHAIR IN, BUT CHRISTIAN SLAMS THE DOOR IN HIS FACE, TAKES THE KEY, AND RE-LOCKS THE CAGE. GOD DAMNIT JEFF. Matt bleeds a lot, but when he and Christian are over the top, Jeff gets a ladder and knocks Christian down, so it's just Matt and Edge. JEFF USES THE LADDER TO CLIMB BACK UP! YEAH! CRAZY CAGE DIVE TO EDGE IN THE RING. Lita comes down to take Christian off the ladder and cage with a Rana, and Edge goes up, BUT GETS HIT WITH THE CONCHAIRTO ON TOP OF THE CAGE IN REVENGE. THE HARDYS FINALLY GET THE BELTS! I remembered this being a lot more "crazy", but it was relatively restrained for these teams, focusing on several big moments and building well around them. Classic stuff yet again.
****

In the back, Steve Austin goes into the Mc-H locker room and asks Stephanie where her husband is. She says he's getting ready, but says she has something for him and she's been holding onto it for a while. She gives him back the hat he was wearing when he got run down. Steve does not care and she says Shane knows who did it and it couldn't have been any of the McMahons or Triple H. Austin says he can be certain of three things in the WWF. Death, taxes, and DTA.

In the back, Triple H goes up to Foley's desk and says they've fought a lot, but they've weirdly bonded lately and they laugh about Kurt's crying. H says it's all business tonight and he's gonna beat Kurt Angle worse than he did to him earlier this year, and he knows they hate each other, but he's the referee in HIS match and he needs to know that he's going to call it down the middle. Foley says now that it's No DQ, he really has no job besides counting a pinfall and maybe when it's over, they can laugh together again, but not tonight.

Jerry Lawler comes back to kick Cole the fuck out.

Match #6: Eddie Guerrero [c] w/ Chyna vs. Rikishi [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
This is fine enough since it's two good to great wrestlers getting six minutes, but the focus is more about Eddie and Chyna's bullshit, with her cheating to help and feeling bad. Eddie also stalls a lot early on, so they're not even trying to make this a real match. Rikishi has enough of her trying to save Eddie and the title, so he Superkicks her. Which is somehow a DQ? Eddie wins by DQ off of that, I guess.
**

He hits Chyna with the Banzai Drop again.

In the back, Coach interviews The Undertaker, and he says everyone in there tonight are going to take a ride. And they're not gonna like it. He says he's humbling people lately, and he's going to be WWF Champion once again. That ring is his yard, and he's the big dog that runs that yard. So this ride tonight, they better hope that it ain't their last ride. He's finally starting to get into all the classic Biker Taker stuff, and it's great.

In the back, Trish Stratus tells Kurt that she's here if he needs a friend. Kurt gets an idea and says that's it.

Hype video for H/Angle.

Before the match, Kurt Angle wishes Stephanie a happy birthday and sings it until Triple H comes out.

Match #7: Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. Kurt Angle [No Disqualification Match - Special Referee: Mick Foley]
This was a brilliant feud. They laid seeds in late 1999 and let it simmer until Kurt had enough credibility to hang with Triple H and Triple H had enough credibility to be a situational babyface against Kurt. The actual feud from June through now built slow, had logical reactions for the most part, and got AMAZING before the blowoff, while also being able to say it's a first time match, since they held off on them ever meeting one on one. This WAS a brilliant feud...and then this is how they blew it off. The match wasn't even bad, it actually ruled, despite being a total swerve from what you'd expect since it's based around an injured body part and not the hate-filled brawl you thought they'd drop. It takes a while to pick up also, and H's selling in the first half kind of sucks. Kurt picks it up HUGE with an amazing attack on the ribs, and H finally sells. They barely play into the No DQ thing either, which is upsetting. Triple H hits a flash Pedigree, and they do a double down. He brings Stephanie in and demands she chooses, and it's time for the turn...and she kicks Kurt in the dick. GOD DAMNIT, WWF. Triple H hits another Pedigree to win. What a missed opportunity.
***

H kisses Stephanie, and she looks weirded out by all of it.

Shane McMahon comes out to the ring and gets on the mic. He says he was hoping Stone Cold would have come to him privately for his evidence, but he had to come out here and he now has to publicly call out the culprit. His impartial investigation has led him to the perpetrator, and it's not someone you'd suspect, but he has a history of vehicular assaults, and he shows clips of Ken Shamrock being hit with a car by STEVE BLACKMAN! He says Blackman is capable of anything, and SummerSlam proved that. Steve Blackman comes out to yell at shane, and Steve Austin comes out. STUNNER TO BLACKMAN. :( BUT THEN STUNNER TO SHANE! FUCK YEAH!

Match #8: The Rock [c] vs. Chris Benoit vs. The Undertaker vs, Kane [WWF Championship]
This was good enough. Rock vs. Benoit got a ton of play, and that's an amazing pairing. Taker is trying again here, but as a trade off, Kane's not really feeling it here. There was a ref bump, and Benoit hits Taker with a gross chair shot to the face. Benoit covers and gets 3, but the ref misses Taker's foot on the ropes due to being groggy. FUCK YEAH. But Foley comes out and restarts it. Finishing run kicked ass, and Taker hits Benoit with a Chokeslam. Kane pulls him out and they brawl, and Rock hits Benoit with the Rock Bottom to retain.

September 25th, 2000

Steve Austin comes out to open the show, and he gets on the mic. He says a lot of things have changed in the last 10 months, between Vince leaving to go make babies, Triple H and Stephanie getting married, and a bunch of other stuff. He says he hopes that son of a bitch is shooting blanks based on the last two kids he had, Triple H and Stephanie's marriage is horrible, and by the way, Naked Mideon sucks. The only thing that hasn't changed is that he's gonna drink his beer, raise up both middle fingers, and do what he wants when he wants. He says he came back to drink some beers and kick some asses last night, but he didn't find the bastard who ran him down. He then says he's going to weed his way through every last "superstar" in the back, find out who ran him over, and make them pay. Commissioner Foley comes out now, and says he wants to go through with his own investigation in a less hostile manner, maybe one that doesn't include violating anyone's ass. Austin asks if he did it, and Chris Benoit walks out to the ring with a mic. He says they haven't met, but he's Chris Benoit, the best damn wrestler in the world. He says injustice took place last night, not just at Survivor Series, because for the second time, he was robbed of the WWF Title. He wants a rematch against The Rock, and Foley says last night wasn't exactly fair, it was a technicality, so he'll give him that one on one title shot! Kurt Angle comes out and says while Chris Benoit got screwed, he was screwed even worse. He says he almost had a worse time last night than Penn State's football team, and he almost lost Stephanie as a friend, but he forgives her. He says Triple H didn't beat him as a wrestler, but he beat him by being a crazy eyed abusive husband who forced SMH to kick him in the genitals, and he deserves a rematch too. Foley says Kurt showed true bravery by beating up on Triple H's injured ribs last night, but after giving it thought, his request is DENIED! Angle then turns to Austin, and says that unprovoked assault might have cost him the match too. He says he doesn't want him assaulting people at random, and it's not fair that he attacks somebody because he, Stone Cold, was too slow to jump out of the way of a car last November. He says Stone Cold owes an apology to him, and to America, for attacking a national hero. Austin says he should, but that won't happen tonight, and Austin Stuns Kurt. Benoit also gets a Stunner, just because.

Match #1: Rikishi vs. Kane
This was really really enjoyable for 2 minutes. Kane is developing what we might now call a Batista Work Ethic in that he tries in TV matches and on the midcard, but in main event spots, often shows up just not giving a shit. He bumps around huge for Rikishi, and they brawl on the floor. Kane throws the ref away for the DQ.
**

They keep it up, and officials run down. Rikishi clotheslines Kane to the floor, and Kane leaves. FUCK YEAH RIKISHI PUSH AGAIN. YEAH.

TONIGHT: HARDYS VS. E&C FOR THE TITLES IN A LADDER MATCH! JERICHO VS. X-PAC IN A FIRST BLOOD MATCH!

In the back, Austin goes into the locker room, AND TAKER'S THERE. OH SHIT. Taker says not to even give him that look, and he knows that he was taking time off, and he's not the guy he's looking for. He says if he had information, he'd give it to him because anyone with enough balls to run over Stone Cold probably wouldn't hesitate on him either, and he'd like to know. Taker says it's a shame he's back, they'e gonna have to go again soon enough. Austin asks if that's a shame, and Taker stands up and says after thinking about it, it's not a shame.

In the Commissioner's Office of a bathroom, Edge and Christian complain about the Cage Match and tonight, and Foley explained that he needed a big match for Raw. Also, if they lose, it's their last title shot against the Hardyz. He says Lita is hot too, and Edge she's ugly up close. LOL FUTURE STUFF. Anyways, they say this will be the shortest reign ever for the Hardys. Foley holds up a cocktail umbrella, and says for the shortest reign, they would need the shortest umbrella! YEEEEEEEAH. E & C walk out in disgust after calling him a reekazoid. A woman named Inga walks out of the stall and says she thought it was pretty funny. She then drops money in his tip jar.

The Dudleyz and Tazz come out for a match, and Tazz asks Bubba if he's got a set big enough to fight him alone, and Bubba sends D-Von to the back.

Match #2: Tazz vs. Bubba Ray Dudley
This happened alright. The ref got bumped and Tazz went to harrass King. Raven again came from the crowd and Evenflow'd King on the floor, and Evenflow'd Bubba in the ring. He left through the crowd, and Tazz got the pin.
*1/2

In the back, Stephanie is upset that Triple H didn't get her a birthday present last night. He says his present is at home waiting, and explains that the rough kiss last night was to put an exclamation point on his ass kicking to show Kurt that she is his.

Match #3: The Hardy Boyz [c] vs. Edge/Christian [WWF Tag Team Championship - Ladder Match]
This actually got 12 minutes, so it ruled. They worked it really logically too, with them coming in fired up and shit, but after 5-7 minutes of that, the adrenaline wore off a bit, and the big spots here and in the cage match took their toll. A ton of awesome shit spots too. Lita came down at one point to hit Edge with a chair, and Christian took her out. Matt showed off some really good rib selling, showing a lot of what he'd become in 6-7 years. They had Matt set for a Conchairto on a ladder in revenge for the finish last night, but Jeff and Lita pushed E & C's ladders over, sending them out, and Matt got the titles to retain. This is again a really really simplistic spotfest that tricks you into thinking it was a lot crazier than it was.
***3/4

In the back, Austin questions Brisco & Patterson, but decides neither had the balls to run him down after they argue over if either of them were actually there. They yell at each other more, and Patterson yells that Brisco smokes too much, and leaves. They are the best WWF couple.

Chyna comes out with the Playboy cover in the ring and gives a real emotional speech and shit. RTC then comes out to do God's work, and Val says this is little more than pornography. JR pretending a magazine specializing in pictures of nude women is not porn is fucking hilarious. They say Chyna isn't worth it, and Eddie Guerrero comes out and challenges Val to an IC Title match tonight, and he accepts.

In the back, Kurt is reading the paper about the Olympics. Trish comes up and says if he gave her a token of his friendship like he did to Austin, she would cherish it. He says she can have the other medal, and she put it on. She leans over to ask how it looks, and he says it's true. It's true.

Match #4: Chris Jericho vs. X-Pac [First Blood Match]
This was fun for 3 minutes, but much more of an angle than a match. X-Pac breaks a glass bottle on Jericho's face, and then drags the glass across his face until he's bleeding and that wins the match. Really awesome finish.
**

Pac brings the nunchucks in, but Jericho takes them and hits Pac in the head with them to bust him open. He puts Pac in the Walls of Jericho on the announce table.

In the back, Austin questions Triple H. Stephanie says she gave him his hat back, and that's enough. Austin says he's conducting an investigation, and he's a prime suspect because he knows his little friends had some game going on to take him out at Survivor Series. Triple H says he'll tell him his story, and says if he wanted to take him out, he'd do it while he's looking him in the eye, but he did NOT run him over. And he doesn't know who did. Austin says he's a liar, a crazy son of a bitch, or maybe, he's telling the truth. Go with liar.

In the back, Cole interviews The Rock and asks about the main event. He says Chris Benoit claims that he was screwed and since Benoit claims to be the best wrestler, he has some wrestling advice for him. The Undertaker's foot was on the ropes, so he won NOTHING. He says Chris Benoit is the all-time punk ass son of a bitch, and one more time, it's the Brahma Bull and the Wolverine, and he WILL hit Rock Bottom, and he WILL smell what The Rock is cooking.

Match #5: Eddie Guerrero [c] vs. Val Venis [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
Chyna and Stevie are ringside. Awful gimmick change aside, this is still Val Venis, and Eddie/Val is a great matchup. Eddie brings a ton of great fire here, and Val is as solid as he always is. This got cut short at about two and a half minutes as Steven got on the apron, so that's a shame. Chyna then pantsed him, and Eddie got a schoolboy on Val to win.
**1/4

William Regal comes out to be our goodwill ambassador. He says that in an institution of learning like Penn State, we can all enjoy literature. He beings to read Hamlet, but Austin comes out and hits a Stunner. He then immediately leaves. The greatest.

At WWF NEW YORK~, Crash Holly cannot get served a drink.

Match #6: The Rock [c] vs. Chris Benoit w/ Shane McMahon [WWF Championship]
So, this was awesome for 7 minutes, as you can expect. The usual insane intensity, fire, and crowd heat in a Rock/Benoit match, which is pretty clearly the series of the year, as every match has been great. A ref bump happens, and then Benoit accidentally hits Shane with a chair. Stephanie runs down to check on Shane, and Triple H comes down to get her out of there. They get Shane to the floor, and Benoit is whipped into Triple H on the apron. He and Benoit yell at each other, and he hangs Benoit up on the top rope throat-first after being shoved. He turns into a Rock Bottom and Rock retains.
***

Rock celebrates now, and Kurt Angle runs down to attack Triple H. Benoit throws Rock out to the floor now, and Stephanie pulls Kurt off of Triple H, and she slaps him. He yells at her about, and Benoit comes over and asks if she's a problem. He doesn't respond, SO BENOIT HEADBUTTS STEPHANIE AND SHE'S OUT HOLY SHIT WHAT. Benoit leaves like this is nothing for him, which we have since learned is disturbingly accurate. Kurt is mortified, and JR says this is somehow Kurt's fault, even though he did nothing.

WWF Smackdown
September 28th, 2000
Pittsburgh, PA

Commissioner Foley comes out and says that Austin has to adhere to his rules on the investigation, and Chris Benoit comes out. He says he was screwed again out of the WWF Title and wants Rock ONE ON ONE, and Kurt Angle comes out. He says that since this is his hometown, it should be his title shot, because Chris Benoit failed at his title match, tonight, so as to give these fans something to live for, seeing as their only true victory comes from living vicariously through their Olympic Hero. Angle and Benoit get in each other's face about the end of Raw, so Foley books Rock/H vs. Benoit/Angle tonight. They brawl, and officials break them up.

In the back, Austin questions X-Pac & Road Dogg, and they say they were acting on Triple H's orders at the time, and have no idea who ran him over.

Match #1: Lita [c] w/ The Hardy Boyz vs. Jackie w/ Edge & Christian [WWF Women's Championship]
This sure happened. Lita won, and the Hardyz cut off E & C interference.
*1/2

Match #2: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Road Dogg [WWF Hardcore Championship]

Not as good as their first match, but still fun. This is pretty much a set-up for an angle, as they brawl to the back, and Austin hits Dogg with a chair so Steve Blackman retains.
**1/4

In the back, Trish gets Kane to team with T & A tonight by telling him it's against Rikishi/Too Cool.

Tazz comes out and talks shit in an epic manner. He says he's the A-team and Cole & Lawler are the epitome of a b-team announce duo. He introduces his friend, Raven. Lawler gets on the mic and calls Tazz Mr. T's illegitimate retarded lovechild. Raven rants about growing up poor, which is total bullshit because WCW showed us his house and he was insanely rich. What a mark. Jericho comes out and tells them to shut the hell up, and Jericho/Lawler vs. Tazz/Raven is made for later. YEAH!

Match #3: Rikishi/Too Cool w/ Hos vs. Kane/T & A w/ Trish Stratus
This was mostly very fun, as it was 90% Albert in the ring killing Too Cool or eating Rikishi offense. Too Cool cleaned house, and Kane got in. Kane vs. Rikishi happened again, but Test tagged himself in. Kane was offended, so he Chokeslammed Test and left. Rikishi then hit the Banzai Drop to win.
**1/4

Earlier today, RTC tried to protest Chyna's Playboy issue outside the arena.

A behind the scenes look at the Playboy shoot aired. DOOOOOOOOOOOOON'T CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARE.

Match #4: Chris Jericho/Jerry Lawler vs. Raven/Tazz
This was short but a TON of fun, as all the Lawler matches have been, and anything with Raven in there was quite good. Lawler/Raven is great for the little time that gets. Tazz and Lawler brawl to the floor, and X-Pac runs down. Jericho knocks him down and hits the Lionsault, but then Raven sneaks in the Evenflow to win.
**1/2

In the back, The Rock says he hates H, but he knows he an at least get the job done.

Match #5: Chyna w/ Eddie Guerrero vs. Steven Richards w/ Val Venis
This was really bad. Chyna stripped down to her bra & panties for some reason and won with a DDT.
1/2*

In the back, William Regal went to Commissioner Foley's office, and he demanded justice from Foley about Austin attacking him on Raw. Foley didn't treat it seriously, and Regal said Austin is no joke and Austin doesn't respect him or his authority, and he guesses it's true when the other wrestlers say Foley's a joke. Foley doesn't take that well, and he says they'll see how Austin takes it when he gets a little more involved.

Foley comes out and stands guard on the stage to prevent another Steve Austin attack.

Al Snow comes down with french bread, and french fries, and a framed picture of Pepe the skunk.

Match #6: Al Snow [c] vs. X-Pac [WWF European Championship]
This is basically a set-up for an angle again. Austin's music hits and he comes in through the crowd. He hits Stunners on both men and it's a no contest.
*

Austin hits the referee with a Stunner too, and Foley is upset on the stage. Austin leaves and Foley tries to talk to him, but Austin walks right past him.

In the back, The Rock and Triple H have the talk where they hate each other, but are tag opponents.

Match #7: The Rock/Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. Chris Benoit/Kurt Angle
This was great. Rock/Benoit and Rock/Angle and Benoit/H are all fantastic, and H/Kurt is also a solid pairing, but easily the worst. He was a pretty decent face/tweener in peril here, and Benoit and Kurt again made an excellent team but broke down in arguments. Rock's hot tag and the finishing run were great, and this getting 10 minutes was fantastic. Rock and H competed with brawling with their guy on the floor, and Kurt saved Stephanie from a Benoit chair shot. She then did the same to save him from a chair shot from Rock in the ring. Rock stared at her, and Kurt used it to hit the Angle Slam AND ANGLE PINS THE WWF CHAMPION.

WWF Hardcore Champion: Steve Blackman, Since 8/27/2000
WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Dean Malenko, Since 4/27/2000
WWF Women's Champion: Lita, Since 8/21/2000

WWF Raw
October 2nd, 2000
Washington, D.C.

The Rock comes down to open the show, and challenges Kurt to a title match tonight after Smackdown. Kurt Angle comes down and says unlike Rulan Gardner, he is a true Olympian and will take the title back to America. Commisioner Foley comes down, and says he thinks Triple H should fight Kurt Angle more, now that he's healthy since Kurt was DEMANDING that match, and H and Stephanie come down. He books Kurt vs. H in a #1 Contender's Match, and that brings out Benoit, Kane, and Rikishi, and Rock/Rikishi vs. Benoit/Kane is also booked. YES.

Match #1: The Hardy Boyz [c] vs. Too Cool [WWF Tag Team Championship]
Lita is there, and Too Cool have Godfather's bitches back. This was pretty fun for a 3 minute face vs. face spotfest. Certainly the best version of this match yet, as all the sequences went really well. E & C ran down, and Edge tried to Spear Matt, but he moved and Edge Spears S2H. Matt threw him out, and Jeff hit the Swanton on Scotty to retain.
**

In the back, Triple H tells Stephanie that he has a bad feeling about tonight.

In the back, Foley tells E & C that since they want gold so bad, they can challenge Steve Blackman tonight!

On HeAT, Steve Austin attacked Tazz.

Match #2: Chris Jericho/The Dudley Boyz vs. X-Pac/Raven/Tazz
This was a ton of fun, but it was pretty much just the heels being run over, but put together very well. Raven eats a 3D and then the Lionsault to win.
**1/4

In the back, the Right to Censor yell at Foley to do something about Austin and Val blames him for the decline of morality in the WWF and Bull says Mick has to stop him or if he's afraid. Foley says to get the hell out of his office, because he's been trying to think all night about what to do, and when he makes a decision, it will be FINAL.

In the back, Lita and Jackie get into a surprisingly rough brawl in the back and the loading dock. They get pulled apart after doing a bunch of insane stuff

Match #3: The Rock/Rikishi vs. Chris Benoit/Kane
This was all good. Kane wasn't trying again, but Benoit worked like 80% of this, and these are two of his best pairings in 2000 with Rock and Rikishi. Rock was a great FIP and bumped enough to make Kane look good, and Rikishi's hot tag was also quite good. Benoit decided to hit Kane with a chair and leave, and the Rock Bottom and Banzai Drop killed Kane.
***

Commissioner Foley comes down, and calls out Austin. He asks him to adhere to his rules again and not interrupt matches to investigate Stone Cold-style (read: assault people). Austin asks what he's got, and shares that over the weekend, he got drunk and called Miss Cleo for a hint, but he got nothing. Foley says he found his #1 suspect and flew him out on his dime, and brings out the returning BILLY GUNN NO GODDAMNIT NO! FUCK. This is good though, since I remember being convinced as a kid that it was Billy Gunn. Foley leaves, and Billy says he was unaccounted for that night, but his flight got delayed, and the cops working the case can verify that. Also, they are apparently the worst cops ever. Anyways, he says he saw the driver of said car speed past, and they had blond hair! He tells him to check with Brooklyn Brawler, since he was in the car too. Austin says he believes him, and then Stuns Billy just because well, fuck Billy Gunn.

Match #4: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Edge vs. Christian [WWF Hardcore Championship]
I wish this got more than three minutes, but still great. This had some fun new Blackman spots and switching up of his trademarks, and it's the usual really fun stuff. Blackman yelling "IT'S PARTY TIME" before his rolling trash can lid shot was the best. Edge and Christian do stuff too and get creative in these kinds of matches. Blackman Bicycle Kicked a chair into Christian's face to retain.
**1/4

Earlier tonight, the RTC burned copies of Chyna's Playboy. They're finally doing things right again.

A stupid highlight video aired of Chyna's media tour.

Match #5: Eddie Guerrero/Chyna vs. Val Venis/Chyna
This is a minute, before Bull and Goodfather run in for the DQ.
3/4*

It's 4 on 2, until Austin runs down he hits Stunners on all the Right to Censor members, and then on Eddie, but Chyna had already left. Foley comes back down and said he warned Austin for the last time earlier, and it's either a fine or a suspension, and Austin cuts him off there with a Stunner.

In the back, Foley is PISSED and looking for Austin.

In the back, Triple H says he's still feeling uneasy about tonight, and asks Steph to stay in the back. She reluctantly agrees, and he leaves. She walks down the hall, and runs into Benoit. He asks how her head is, and she slaps him! He laughs, and she runs away. Probably a wise move.

Match #6: Triple H vs. Kurt Angle [#1 Contender's Match]
This was better than Unforgiven, since they stayed around 10 minutes and brought actual hate to this, unlike Unforgiven. They broke out several more brutal and cool spots here than at Unforgiven too. Stephanie ran down to cheer Triple H against his wishes. Benoit comes out and tries to hit Stephanie with a chair, but Triple H grabs him after letting go of the Pedigree to save her. Benoit then hits H with a chair, and the Angle Slam makes Kurt the winner.
***

Kurt celebrates to the back, and H and Stephanie argue. He yells at her and walks off, leaving her in the ring.

Match #1: The Hardy Boyz/Lita vs. Lo Down/Jackie

This was 6 minutes, and really fun. Lo Down continues to be amazing the 5 times they actually show up on TV in 2000. Jeff was especially on his game here, hitting everything 100% perfect at a frantic pace and generally being a great high flying babyface. They built to Lita vs. Jackie after what happened on Raw, but D'Lo killed Lita with the Sky High, and pulled Jackie on top for the upset.
**3/4

Post-match, The Hardy Boyz attack Low Down for beating up Lita, but Jackie hits them with low blows. Jeff eats a Superplex/'Lo Down combo, and the heel trio leaves in victory.

In the back, Commissioner Foley paces back and forth, waiting on the arrival of Stone Cold to deliver his decision.

Goodwill Ambassador William Regal comes down to do commentary. He says he understands there is a European Championship offered here, and if the champion is a representative of all things good about Europe, then this Al Snow should be a fine fellow. Al Snow then comes out, representing Transylvania. He is dressed as a vampire and throws boxes of Count Chocula into the crowd. He gives Cole and Lawler a picture of Eddie Munster. Regal then says that Transylvania isn't even a country, and it's Romania. Regal is infuriated, and this is AMAZING.

Match #2: Al Snow [c] vs. X-Pac [WWF European Championship]
This was decent fir 2-3 minutes, but overshadowed completely by Regal's amazing commentary. X-Pac throws Snow outside and he falls into Regal, who throws him back in. The ref yells at Regal, and Billy Gunn runs down and hits the Fameasser on X-Pac, because I guess he actually wants revenge for being wronged 8 months ago. I love WWF 2000's commitment to continuity, but god damn, it sucks in cases like this. Snow covers to win.
*3/4

Gunn leaves, and Regal says Snow has besmirched him as a European by holding that title.

In the parking lot, Foley is still waiting for Austin. Stephanie arrives by herself.

Match #3: Eddie Guerrero/The Acolytes vs. Val Venis/The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan
Chyna and Steven are on the floor, which is good and bad. On one hand, no Chyna. On the other, more APA vs. Bull. A lot of Val being solid and not letting the shitty guys in, but not enough Eddie at all. Eddie did get in, but almost immediately got caught off the top with a Powerslam by Goodfather for the win. So the RTC wins clean, because we're being reprogrammed to hate Eddie. :(
**

Chyna and the APA run off the RTC.

In the back, Triple H and Stephanie argue after he tells her to no longer come out to the ring with him, because from a business perspective, she's a liability by diverting his attention. She is about to cry, and walks out on him.

Match #4: The Dudley Boyz vs. Raven/Tazz
This is generally solid, due to D-Von being an acceptable face in peril. Bubba brings a ringbell in, but Raven and Tazz use it on D-Von behind the ref's back. Bubba hits them with it, and the ref sees that and calls for the DQ.
**1/4

Post-match, Raven gets Superbombed through the table. Dis punishment. :(

In the back, Steve Austin has arrived.

In the parking lot, Stephanie opens the limo door to leave, but stops at the last minute and seems to reconsider.

Commissioner Foley comes down to the ring, with several police officers with him. He says this job's been a lot of fun for the last three months, but the last two weeks haven't been as much fun. He says part of this job is having to make tough and unpopular decisions that he may not like. Tonight, he has an unpopular decision that he doesn't like, and Steve Austin comes down to the ring. He says Mick was in the wrong place at the wrong time on Raw, and that's as close as he's coming to "I'm sorry". Foley says he was going to give him a fine because he likes Steve and never wants to be the bad guy, but after Steve attacked him, he has no other choice, and until he finds out who ran Austin down, STEVE AUSTIN IS SUSPENDED! Foley says it's final, so Austin give him another Stunner. The cops then escort him out.

Kurt Angle comes out and says that like Baltimore's Cal Ripen, he is on a streak. However, his streak will actually mean something! FUCK YEAH CHEAP HEAT ANGLE.

Match #5: Kurt Angle/Edge & Christian vs. Rikishi/Too Cool w/ Hos
This was fun as always with these guys, although again only like 4-5 minutes. The heels all bumped around huge since Kurt's now turning from good to great, and the crowd was insane for the babyfaces, especially Rikishi. It'd be borderline retarded if they turned him heel at this point. The finishing run was really really well put together, and Stephanie McH comes down and pushes Sexay off the top! Kurt then hits the Angle Slam to win.
**1/2

In the back, Triple H asks Steph why she's not back at the hotel, and she says she did that to show that she's a great asset at ringside, in addition to being a McMahon, and a great business partner. He says she could have been hurt again, and she says the only thing hurting her is him, and she leaves.

Match #6: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Prince Albert w/ Trish Stratus [WWF Hardcore Championship]
So, this was another awesome 3 minute Albert match. They had a ton of new shit, working with the theme of Albert using weapons that SHOULD work, but Blackman being too quick and innovative with stuff. He blinded Albert with a fire extinguisher, and dove off the top with a kendo stick shot to the face to win.
**1/2

In the parking lot, Kurt Angle thanks Stephanie. He says that personal feelings out of the way, he would be honored if she accompanied him down to the ring as a business adviser, and she says she'll think about it.

Chris Benoit comes out and says he deserves a title shot way more than Kane, and Chris Jericho interrupts and calls him a whining jackass. He challenges Benoit to a match, and it's on.

Match #7: Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho
FUCK YEAH THIS MATCH! Only three to four minutes, so it's not GREAT, but it's SO good for three to four minutes. Then Triple H runs down to ruin an awesome match by attacking Benoit. Couldn't have waited another 5 minutes, you motherfucker? God damnit.
**1/4

Officials run down to pull Triple H off. Benoit takes advantage of them holding Triple H back, and he kills him in the face with a chair and leaves.

Match #8: The Rock [c] vs. Kane [WWF Championship]
Rock did a brilliant job putting Kane over as an unstoppable force here with his bumping and increasing frustration and desperation, a lot like the August title match on Raw, but just different enough. The got bumped and they brawled on the floor. Angle ran down and hit Kane with a chair, and then hit Rock twice. Kane got him in, and Rock hit a flash Rock Bottom after Kurt left. Kane got up first, and Rikishi ran down and attacked Kane for the DQ.
**3/4

Rock and Rikishi have words after the bell, and Kane Chokeslams Rikishi. Rock runs Kane off to end the show.
