WWF Raw is War
October 9th, 2000
Anaheim, CA

JR says that Foley has guaranteed to name the man who ran down Austin tonight. BAH GAWD.

Commissioner Foley comes out to boos, and gets on the mic. He says he's flown in his new top suspect, and he brings Shawn Michaels down. Michaels says he didn't do it and has no motive. Foley cuts an awesome promo about how he loved his match vs. Shawn Michaels and it's one of the greatest matches of his career, but when he tries to bring it up to new fans, NOBODY knows what he's talking about. BECAUSE NOBODY REMEMBERS 1996. NOBODY remembers how Shawn carried the WWF while today's stars were still developing, and if Shawn DID do it, it would be a damn good reason. Shawn again says he was at home, and if he did run down Austin, the world would know by now, because he'd be bragging to the whole world. Shawn says he thinks Rock did it, leading to JR yelling SHAWN MICHAELS IS FINGERING THE ROCK KING.

Match #1: Lita [c] vs. Jackie [WWF Women's Championship - Hardcore Match]
This happened. They used weapons and shit and it was a super super fun four minutes. Jackie missed a Crossbody off a ladder, and then Lita hit her with a cookie sheet to win.
**

In the back, Chyna and Debra have girl talk. Chyna is looking for Eddie because they have a match tonight, and Debra needs to talk to Foley.

In the commissioners office, Foley questions Debra about if she hit Austin to get him home and off the road. She yells at him and says it wasn't her and that that's the stupidest thing she's ever heard.

In the back, Triple H complains to Steph about the H/Jericho vs. X-Pac/Benoit match tonight and having to team with that idiot. She tries to get him to let her out there, and he cuts her off and says his business decision is final, and he's glad she made the right business decision to NOT accompany Kurt Angle. He leaves, but she looks like she did not finish.

In the parking lot, Linda McMahon steps out of the limousine.

Match #2: Steve Blackman vs. Raven
Non-title for some reason. They had some good spots, but Raven was quite sloppy at points here. He barely connected on some big strikes, and his usually endearingly reckless Plancha barely connected. Blackman won clean with a Bicycle Kick in like two minutes unfortunately.
*3/4

Raven tries to attack Blackman, but Blackman gets the party sticks and kills him. IT'S PARTY TIME.

In the office, Commissioner Foley questions Linda and says maybe she did it to get even after all Austin did to her husband and son, and says she's always in town for PPVs to conduct business, but running down Austin was bad business, and she wouldn't do it. Mick is curious about who's merchandise and stuff has sold the most without Austin there, and she immediately says The Rock. Foley's like, "...damnit."

Match #3: Triple H/Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit/X-Pac
This ruled, but wasn't long enough to be great. They managed to avoid H vs. Pac all match, which was nice character work. Benoit vs. Jericho for long portions was good, although the finishing stretch had a moment of complete ridiculousness. Triple H accidentally punches Pac, and Benoit hits a Bridging German. This has beaten Rock and Rikishi, H CAN job to it, but he kicks out. Ok, whatever. He then is pinned by Benoit after Jericho accidentally crotches him up top when he clotheslines Pac out. That has never pinned anyone ever after the 80s, and was pretty ridiculous.
**3/4

In Foley's office, Triple H interrupts an E&C/Foley conversation to demand Benoit, and he has him at No Mercy. E&C are then questioned about Austin's car incident, and they say it was NOT them and bail.

In the locker room, Stephanie calms Triple H down but says that since she hasn't been there with him, he's lost a whole lot and tells him to think about that.

Match #4: The Hardy Boyz [c] w/ Lita vs. Lo Down [WWF Tag Team Championship]
So, this got 7 minutes for some reason. I'm not complaining at all, because it's really great. Lo Down are a really great team, and should have been on TV way more. The best Chaz has ever been, but this was largely aided by an outstanding Matt Hardy performance as face in peril, in addition to early on with his awesome punches. Jeff's hot tag and finishing run was also really great. LOS CONQUISTADORES ran down and pushed Jeff off the top and left. He got hit with the Superplex/'Lo Down combo, but Matt hit D'Lo with a Flying Legdrop and rolled Jeff on top, and they retained.
***1/4

Lo Down lay out the champions, and hold up the belts before leaving. Glad this goes somewhere!

William Regal comes down to do commentary.Al Snow comes out in a T-Birds leather jacket and a pucture of Danny & Sandy from Grease. He is from Athens, Greece this time, and Regal is appalled. I SUDDENLY LOVE AL SNOW AGAIN!

Match #5: Al Snow [c] vs. Test w/ Trish Stratus [WWF European Championship]
Regal on commentary was fucking amazing, but this is still Al Snow vs. Test, and as a result, is horrible. Al Snow uses Head to win. Regal is outraged.
*1/2

In the back, Eddie shows up and Chyna asks where he's been all day because they have a match. Eddie rants about how she needs to trust him.

Match #6: Eddie Guerrero/Chyna vs. Val Venis/Steven Richards w/ The Goodfather
Under a minute in, GTV randomly shows Eddie fucking Victoria and the other one of the two remaining ho's in the shower, and Chyna turns her back on him and does horrible acting, somehow having to feel sorry for cheating on this fucking beast. Anyways, it's then a 2 on 1, and the Blue Thunder Driver pins Eddie.
*1/2

They throw Eddie out, and Steven lectures Chyna. She hits him, so they throw her in, but Billy Gunn runs down to save, and he clears the ring. He and Chyna hug and leave together. Motherfucker.

In the back, Commissioner Foley questions anyone blond that he can find, and comes to Scotty 2 Hotty. He asks what he was doing when Stone Cold was run down. He says that he, Grandmaster, and Rikishi were chilling backstage waiting for Rock so they could go party. Foley says he thinks he's helped him.

In the parking lot, Eddie pleads his case and Chyna says she never wants to see you again and she drives away. I hope she gets into a car crash. Eddie throws the ring, and Billy Gunn comes over and calls him a dumb shit and is a general dickhead. Eddie then breaks a bottle over his head in response. In one night, Eddie has gotten rid of Chyna, fucked 2 women at once in the shower, and driven shards of glass into Billy Gunn's face.

Match #7: The Rock/Rikishi vs. Kurt Angle/Kane
Kane attacks Kurt when he gets in, as payback for Smackdown. In response, Kurt just stands on the floor with his arms folded, forcing this to be an all Kane match. Kane wrestles by himself and Rock's bumping and selling make this passable. Kurt tags himself in finally, so Kane Chokeslams him. Rock hits the Rock Bottom, and then Rikishi hits the Banzai Drop to win.
**

Commissioner Foley immediately comes out and presents all the evidence against The Rock, but turns to Rikishi, and says he wasn't even on TV yet at the Survivor Series, and the car was adjusted to fit a big guy, AND RIKISHI SAYS HE DID IT WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT! "I DID IT FOR THE ROCK. I DID IT FOR THE PEOPLE." Rikishi goes on a diatribe about how the WWF has always been about the great white hope defeating "outsiders" from Bruno to Backlund to Hogan, and the man ALWAYS held the island boys back. JR pretending there is no racism in pro wrestling after breaking in in fucking Mid-South is the best part of this. Rikishi says he did this on his own, and Rock does a fantastic job being shocked, confused, and then disgusted by this. Rikishi says he expects nothing in return, but Rock having his spot right now is good enough for all of them, and Rikishi says he would run down Austin again. He leaves and everyone's pretty astounded.

In the parking lot, Austin's truck is parked and waiting for Rikishi, because he's going to kill him.

Los Conquistadores come down to do commentary, and it's clearly Edge & Christian.

[n]Match #1: The Dudley Boyz vs. Lo Down [Table Match][/b]
This sure is random. Of course, it's Dudleyz vs. Lo Down for something like five to six minutes, so they make it work and it's a lot of fun, but it's still totally appropo of nothing going on. Los Conquistadores at ringside keep saying SI! and OLE! and the 3D through the table wins.
**1/2

A video airs on the Eddie/Chyna breakup.

An interview from earlier today with JR and The Rock. He says he hates that Rikishi says he did it for him because it casts doubt on him and everything he's worked hard for. He says he was given the same opportunities as everyone else, and that he would still be where he is as the WWF Champion with Steve Austin here for the last year or not, and he's talked to Austin since Monday. He says Rikishi will get what's coming to him, but he hopes Austin doesn't do anything he'll regret.

In the back, Eddie Guerrero attacks Billy Gunn with a tire iron and lays him out, putting Eddie/Pac vs. Gunn/Jericho in jeopardy. OH NO!

After break, Foley tends to Gunn with the EMTs, and Eddie comes by to talk shit and asks if he slipped and fell. Foley says it's now a triple threat match for his IC Title.

Match #2: Eddie Guerrero [c] vs. Chris Jericho vs. X-Pac [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
The Eddie/Jericho parts were fantastic, but this was one of the many nights in 2000 when X-Pac clearly did not give a fuck. This on top of it being only like 4 minutes held this back, in spite of the awesome Eddie/Jericho stuff. He hit the X-Factor on Jericho, and Eddie threw him to the floor and pinned.
**1/4

Post-match, Pac and Jericho have to be pulled apart by referees. END THE FEUD. FUCK.

In the parking lot, Austin is still waiting. Cops show up and lecture him that this is premeditated murder, and can be 25 to life, and he just rolls up the window. The cops then leave and do nothing. Great work, guys.

In the back, Kurt talks to the Right to Censor. He says one of them should challenge The Rock tonight since he's very emotional, so that at No Mercy, the fans could get a good clean match, and a champion they could all be proud of. Steven likes it, and he shakes hands with Kurt.

William Regal joins us at ringside as the best goodwill ambassador ever. Al Snow comes out representing Hong Kong, and Regal points out that not only is that not a country, but it is not in Europe. This is my favorite feud on the undercard right now. Al throws fortune cookies to the crowd, and has a picture of Hong Kong Phooey with him. This is the best thing Al Snow has ever done, I stand by that.

Match #3: Al Snow [c] vs. Albert w/ Trish Stratus [WWF European Championship]
Regal describes Trish as a buxom wench. Regal is the best commentator, even 11 years before he took it up regularly. Albert was awesome here, but Regal again stole this on commentary. Al won with a Huracanrana out of the Baldo Bomb.
**

Albert tries to use Head, but Al ducks and hits him with Head. Regal then comes in in and beats up Al Snow, and throws him to the floor.

In the parking lot, JR tries to talk to Austin and use reason and says he doesn't have to do this outside of the ring, but Austin glares at him and rolls the window back up.

During the entrances for the next match, Cole announces The Rock vs. Val Venis for the title in the main event.

Match #4: Triple H/Road Dogg vs. Chris Benoit/Perry Saturn w/ Terri
So this was really really good, largely due to Benoit being amazing here. Benoit/H really clicked as a match-up early on, and Benoit vs. Road Dogg ruled too now that they got more than just 2-3 minutes. Dogg was an outstanding face in peril, and Saturn and Benoit again made a fantastic heel team with good cut offs. Triple H has a quality hot tag since he can do no wrong in the ring in 2000. H's finishing run was good most of the time, but he and Saturn really didn't click as well as any other pairing. The H/Dogg interplay and teamwork was a ton of fun too as Triple H joined Dogg for the jabs. Benoit hit Road Dogg with a chair on the floor, but Triple H whipped Saturn into Benoit on the apron, and he Pedigree'd Perry to win.
***

Post-match, Benoit puts H in the Crossface until referees and Dogg pull him off.

In the back, Steph asks one last time to go out to the ring with tRIPLE H, and he asks what part of no she doesn't get. She says she understands, and leaves, pissed off.

Commissioner Foley comes out and reinstates Austin, and says if Austin comes out of the parking lot, he'll deliver Rikishi to Austin. After a little bit, Austin finally comes down to the ring, and Foley says he'll give him Rikishi at No Mercy with anything goes, and Austin asks if ANYTHING is legal. Foley says yes, so Austin accepts.

Match #5: The Hardy Boyz [c] w/ Lita vs. Raven/Tazz [WWF Tag Team Championship]
The Hardys again perfect an under five minute match, as this gets about 4:30 and just completely rules. Raven and Tazz were actually on point, and Jeff died to get them a little more over, and broke out their AMAZING Poetry in Motion dive. The hot tag and finishing run ruled again with some great reversals and double teams. Los Conquistadores ran down and Dos hit Matt with the Falling Reverse DDT that Christian does. HEY WAIT A MINUTE. Tazz gets the Tazzmission on Matt with him face down on the mat, but Jeff hits the Swanton Bomb, and Matt rolls on top to retain.
***

Stephanie comes down and introduces the man who she will now be managing, KURT ANGLE!

Match #6: Kurt Angle w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. Kane
By far their best match yet, although not on the level of what they'd do in late 2001. Kurt's bumping and dramatic selling here may have been his best to date, and it really added to the match and Kane seemed to be trying too. Stephanie distracted Kane, and Kurt got a rollup holding the ropes to win.
**1/2

Post-match, referees try to calm Kane down, and he Chokeslams two of them.

In the back, Austin asks Too Cool where Rikishi is. S2H says they haven't seen or heard from him since Monday. Sexay talks in slang about how Rikishi hitting Austin was his own thing, g. Austin takes offense to the retard talk and punches Sexay and stomps the shit out of him. Fair enough.

Match #7: The Rock [c] vs. Val Venis w/ Steven Richards [WWF Championship]
Kurt and Stephanie watch from the stage. Val and Rock have an awesome match for close to 10 minutes, and Steven is a really great heel manager as usual. He usually doesn't get to show it in the RTC run, but here it's just Val, so they get a decent match for him to run interference on. Rock's selling and bumping and fire was fantastic as usual, and they had a number of really good false finishes on both sides. Rock hit the PINEBUSTER and People's Elbow to win.
***

Post-match, Kurt and Stephanie run down and attack Rock. He tries to Rock Bottom the girl, but Kurt hits a low blow and the Angle Slam. He then hits another Angle Slam and celebrates to end the show.

WWF Raw is War
October 16th, 2000
Detroit, MI

R.I.P. YOKOZUNA. :(

Eddie Guerrero comes out and cuts a great promo about how he kicked Chyna out of his life and he get sick of her whining and crying, "NO EDDIE, DON'T DO THAT! DON'T BE YOURSELF, EDDIE!", just like everyone else, and tells Billy Gunn to stay out of his business. He calls Jericho out for their scheduled IC Title match, and Jericho comes out. He says for the first time in like a month, Raw isn't starting with a boring twenty minute promo and he'd like to keep that trend going since that only took about five minutes, so he asks him to PLEASE SHUT THE HELL UP.

Match #1: Eddie Guerrero [c] vs. Chris Jericho [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
This is a minute long, as Eddie hits right on his head off of a Monkey Flip bump when he underrotates. He's clearly knocked out on his feet, and the ref stops the match. :(
3/4*

Post-match, X-Pac runs down and attacks Jericho, and JR says they have a Cage Match at No Mercy. Fuck everything. Billy Gunn runs down and clears X-Pac from the ring.

In the parking lot, Kurt greets Stephanie, and they walk into the arena and discuss strategery tonight. Kurt even grabs her bag for her.

An interview with Rikishi from earlier today in a hotel aired, and he said his people honor him as a visionary who made change now. Commissioner Foley has banned him from the building tonight, the same one where he ran down Steve Austin eleven months ago, and Rikishi says that Foley's doing it to protect Austin, just like the company always protects people like him from the island boys. He says he knows Rock is confused and what Rock said hurt him, but he feels that deep inside, Rock is grateful for what he did, and he will always be here to help The Rock, because blood is thicker than water. He then says nobody cares about Steve Austin anymore, and he'll slap him down at No Mercy.

On HeAT, there was an APA/T & A poker match. Trish came in, so it was made into strip poker and instantly became stuff of legend. The APA kept winning, and understandably were mesmerized by Trish's breasts, and T & A beat the shit out of them and trashed the office.

Match #2: The Acolytes vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus
While this wasn't great, I do like that it at least got time to develop into a real match for 5 minutes. The Bradshaw/Albert parts were fun, since they beat the shit out of each other. Albert ate the big Spinebuster, and then the Clothesline From Hell, and the APA won.
**1/4

In the back, Triple H and Stephanie talk, and he says if something happens when she's out there with Kurt, he doesn't know what he would do, and she says she needs to be out at ringside to help somebody, because her talents are going to waste sitting in the back.

Back from break, Kurt and Stephanie talk business, and H comes in. Kurt has this face like he's trying to conceal a boner, and it's so fucking hilarious. Triple H tells Stephanie to leave, and tells Kurt to sit down because they need to have a talk now.

Al Snow comes out to the 1812 Overture representing England with a monocle, a cane, a bowler hat, and a framed photo of Regal making a goofy face. He asks what everyone needs, and when "HEAD!" is yelled back, he responds, "indubitably!"

Match #3: Al Snow [c] vs. William Regal [WWF European Championship]
So, this was mostly good, at least on Regal's part. Al was not good, but Regal was Regal for three minutes. Regal got his knees up on a Moonsault, and got the Regal Stretch to win the title! On one hand, this is the end of Al's epic gimmick, ut that could only go on so long, I suppose. On the other hand, Regal will make for much better title defenses.
**

In the back, Triple H tells Kurt that Steph is his responsibility to watch at ringside, and if anything happens to her, it's her ass. The second thing, if he tries to make this more than a business relationship, it'll be the last thing he ever does. Kurt says of course, and Triple H says he's wasted enough time on him, and Kurt just laughs when he leaves.

Chris Benoit comes down and does commentary.

Match #4: Triple H vs. Kane
Triple H is getting full blown babyface reactions now, but this still isn't good. JR claims to Benoit that a lot of people think Triple H is a better technical wrestler than Benoit. WHO THE FUCK SAYS THAT? WHO COULD EVER POSSIBLY SAY THAT? THIS FUCKING MYTH IS ONLY PERPETRATED BY YOU, JR, YOU FUTURE STROKE VICTIM. Anyways, they have their usual boring match where H tries to play Flair, and Kane is like the ONE dude who he can't pull this off against in 2000. He then randomly attacks Benoit at ringside, so Benoit hits him with a chair for the DQ.
**

Benoit puts on the Crossface in the ring, and Triple H taps.

Michael Cole is in the ring, and he brings out Steve Austin for an interview and asks about being back at the scene of the crime. Austin says he's happy to be back in Detroit, but he's a lot pissed off because this is where he got put out for 10-11 months and 10-11 months of the doctor saying "No, Stone Cold. Not yet." And he's not trying to get sympathy, but he's painting a picture of how he's going to compress 10 months of frustration into the single biggest ass kicking of his life. He says Rikishi's interview was a load of crap, and he doesn't need protection. Rikishi is in the parking lot, the very same one as Austin being ran down in, and challenges him to come fight him there, since he can't go in the building. Austin goes out there, and Rikishi tries to run him down again, but Austin dives out of the way, and Rikishi drives off.

X-Pac comes down and calls out Billy Gunn, but Eddie attacks Billy from behind and leaves. Pac beats on him in the ring, and Jericho runs down to save and they get pulled apart by refs.

In the back, Gunn demands Eddie, so Foley books it in a match for No Mercy. NO.

On HeAT, Los Conquistadores cost E & C a match, and JR still thinks they're Edge & Christian. Ridiculous claim.

Match #5: The Dudley Boyz vs. Los Conquistadores
They get 7 minuetes, so this was really entertaining. Los Conquistadores were awesome here in the control segment, and D-Von is really putting on a number of great performances recently, with a lot of great babyface fire. The Dudleyz get too caught up in trying to unmask them when they make the comeback, and Uno schoolboys Bubba for the upset.
**3/4

Chyna was on Jay Leno. They should both die.

Match #6: Road Dogg vs. Val Venis w/ Steven Richards
They have a good solid match as expected, although nothing topping the frenzied greatness of their 1999 sprints. Naked Mideon does a run in and dance, and the ref and Dogg are distracted, so Val gets a low blow and an inside cradle to win.
**1/2

Stephanie introduces Kurt for the main event as the NEXT WWF Champion. Kurt says nobody cares about this being the arena of Survivor Series 1999 for Austin getting run down in the parking lot, but this is the arena where Kurt Angle debuted on TV! It's true! It's true! Stephanie says this is known as the Motor City, and Kurt says it's fitting because this is the city where The Rock just HAPPENED to leave his bag open and his pal Rikishi just HAPPENED to MOTOR down Stone Cold! Stephanie says The Rock has a lot of excuses, but he'll have no excuses after this Sunday. Kurt says he'll have won the Intercontinental, European, King of the Ring, and WWF Titles all in one year, much quicker than anyone else, including Triple H and the Rock, and THAT is true.

Match #7: The Rock/The Hardy Boyz vs. Kurt Angle/Edge & Christian
Lita and Stephanie are ringside. So, this was as awesome an 10 minute match as you could expect. They spent basically all of it building to Kurt/Rock, which was great focus. Jeff was king sized early on with his frantic dives and lunatic bumps, and then Matt was a great face in peril, and E&C vs. Hardyz is still a great feud. Rock and Kurt finally got in, and the finishing run was amazing. E&C attacked Rock on the floor, and Jeff tried the Swanton, but Steph pushes him off the top! Kurt then hits the Angle Slam to win.
***1/4

Kurt and Steph leave, and Rock hits the Rock Bottom on Christian. They stare at each other to end the show.

There's a bunch of tag teams in the ring (basically everyone but the Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian), and Foley comes out. He says it's a tag battle royal, with the winners facing the Hardyz for the belts at No Mercy.

Match #1: The Dudley Boyz vs. Too Cool vs. Los Conquistadores vs. The Acolytes vs. Lo Down vs. T & A vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan [#1 Contender's Battle Royal]
Test is thrown out by APA quickly, and this is mostly meandering clubbering, and T & A pulls the APA out. Too Cool throws out RTC, and then it's only good teams left. Too Cool & Lo Down accidentally eliminate each other, and Tiger Ali Singh watches from the crowd, waiting to ruin Lo Down. They brawl on the ramp, and the ref doesn't see Conquistadores being eliminated, but Uno sneaks back in and throws Bubba out by the ref, and the luchadors win.
*3/4

In the back, Edge and Christian congratulate Los Conquistadors on the win, and say they can't wait to challenge them for the titles.

In the back, Triple H and Stephanie freak when Earl tells them it's Rock vs. H vs. Kurt vs. Benoit tonight, and they storm off to see Foley.

Match #2: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Tazz [WWF Hardcore Championship]
Blackman's done way way better, this kind of just happened for three minutes. He won with a kendo stick shot off the top. What happened to that Tazz/Raven team? That was a fun little deal.
**

In the back, Triple H, Kurt Angle, & Steph complain to Commissioner Foley as he's trying to read WWF Magazine, and he says his job is to make WWF fans happy and want to come back the next time the WWF is in town and watch future shows, and the match will make the fans happy, so his job is done, and that is FINAL!

Eddie Guerrero comes out on a crutch and calls Billy Gunn out to kick his ass now that he's hurt since that's the kind of man he is, but Chyna comes out. She slaps Eddie because it's okay to beat up injured dudes, and the Right to Censor comes out. Steven says she has not heeded their warnings, and her actions lead to their reactions, so he Steviekicks her. Gunn tries to save, but falls to a 4 on 1, and Eddie chokes Chyna with his crutch.

Match #3: William Regal [c] vs. Al Snow vs. Perry Saturn [WWF European Championship]
Good back and forth four minute three way with cool spots. Al hits Saturn with Head, and then Regal makes Al tap out to the Regal Stretch again.
**1/4

In the parking lot, Rikishi destroys Austin's truck with a SLEDGEHAMMER~ (SO obvious in retrospect!), and he pours all Austin's beer out and throws it in his car. Austin sees it in the backstage area and storms out. A car drives off, and Austin hops in his damaged truck and chases him. JR comes out to try and get Austin, but he's too late. Rikishi comes out though and throws JR into a car. He tries to hit JR with the sledgehammer, but Foley comes over and says if he does it, he doesn't get Austin. Rikishi drops the hammer, and he leaves.

Match #4: Road Dogg vs. Raven
This sure happened. Neither man was really on tonight, and Raven in WWF is really disappointing so far outside of the Hardys match. He find his niche briefly in 2001, so I guess that's okay, considering he wasn't ever supposed to be signed as it was. Dogg wins with the Pumphandle Slam.
**

In the back, Kurt and Stephanie talk, and he is concerned for her safety out there, as well as the potential conflict of interest. She says if it comes down to Kurt and Triple H, she'll do the right thing. She leaves, and he's relieved. Kurt then gets confused and asks what the right thing is.

In the back, Austin speed backs into the parking lot, and gets out of his truck, pissed off, unable to find Rikishi.

Match #5: Chris Jericho/The Hardy Boyz vs. X-Pac/Edge & Christian
So, as predicted, Austin ran in and killed everyone, but to show the improvement from 1999, they gave the match 7 minutes before that point, instead of 90 seconds. X-Pac was on with his strikes and bumping here, but Jeff was on another level as a face in peril, just dying on everything. At some point in the fall of 2000, both Hardys have started to become actual good singles wrestlers. While they're not GREAT or anything yet, they do enough great stuff on their own and the matches need not just be lunatic spotfests anymore to work. Jericho had a fantastic hot tag with that BABYFACE FLYING FOREARM and cleaning house run, before Austin ran down and murdered everyone with a chair for the no contest.
***

Austin then leaves it at that and walks out.

In the back, Coach interviews The Rock, and he talks about how he was mad and confused, and Angle helped him snap out of that, and he's back. THE ROCK IS BACK. THE GREAT ONE IS BACK. He does the epic "drinking milk is good or your body! it's true!" Kurt Angle impression for the first time two. He says the People's Champion does a body bad, and at No Mercy, it's gonna more than even out all that milk, if ya smell what The Rock is cooking.

Match #6: Lita [c] vs. Trish Stratus [WWF Women's Championship]
This is maybe a minute before T & A runs down and interferes for the DQ.
1/2*

They hold Lita and Trish slaps her, but the APA runs out and clears the ring.

In the back, Triple H tells Steph not to come out because it's a conflict of interest, but she says she made a business decision to be in Kurt's corner. He tells her to remember who she's going home with, and she says if it comes down to he and Kurt, she'll do the right thing. He smiles, and then realizes that he has no idea what she means by right thing.

Match #7: The Rock vs. Triple H vs. Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley
So, Benoit/Rock is again awesome. This is pretty much worked as a tag match for 75% of the match, until it breaks down. Triple H and Rock have an awesome contest of slamming their guy's face off the steps harder, and it eventually breaks down into Rock vs. Triple H in the ring, which is also wonderful. Kurt hits Triple H with the Angle Slam, but Benoit throws him out and hits the Diving Headbutt. Rock throws him out and hits H with the People's Elbow. Stephanie pulls Rock off, and he chases her, but Benoit attacks him on the floor. During this time, Kurt sneaks in and pins Triple H!
***

Post-match, Benoit puts Triple H in the Crossface, and Stephanie tells Kurt to break it, but Rock goes after her. Kurt stops that instead, and Rock puts him into the Sharpshooter. Officials come down to break both holds, and Benoit then puts Rock in the Crossface before leaving.

WWF NO MERCY 2000
OCTOBER 22ND, 2000
ALBANY, NY

Match #1: Too Cool vs. Lo Down vs. Raven/Tazz vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan [Table Gauntlet Match]

This is clearly thrown together to get the Dudleys on PPV, so whatever. I wrote the teams in order of entry. Too Cool vs. Lo Down is a fun pairing for the first three or four minutes, and both D'Lo and Chaz miss Splashes and go through tables. Raven and Tazz then get to use weapons and shit, so they look better than they would otherwise. A Double Suplex puts Scotty through, and The Dudleys are next. This is easily the best pairing, but is also really rushed like every other pairing. D-Von puts Tazz through with a Flying Legdrop. RTC is last and this blows. Goodfather eats the 3D and the Dudleys win. Each pairing only got like 3 minutes and they were held back big time, so this could have been MUCH better.
*3/4

In the back, Rikishi is waiting with a sledgehammer and Stone Cold still isn't here. JR says that on Heat, Rikishi said he was going to turn Austin into roadkill.

T & A and Trish Stratus vs. Lita & The Acolytes is supposed to be up next. The Acolytes never join Lita, since they're being beaten up in the back by Test and Albert, and they target Faarooq's knee in particular before leaving. The heels hit the ring for a 3 on 1 on Lita, but The Hardy Boyz run out to save looking like they just got to the building, and they clear the heels out of the ring.

In the back, Lillian is with Edge and Christian and says they complained of food poisoning earlier and didn't wrestle in the Tables Invitational, and Christian says they were sick. Edge says it was only a passing virus though, and they're fine enough to cheer on Los Conquistadors tonight, and high five.

Match #2: Chris Jericho vs. X-Pac [Steel Cage Match - Escape Only]
This was alright. They only get 10 minutes, and this lacks the kind of hate that they've had in their TV brawls over the last month. But they do some great basic cage bumps, since both men are bump freaks at this point. The best is X-Pac eating a Superbomb, but since he was so high up, it's basically like from the top of the cage. This felt like they had a cage around them in a normal match for the most part though, which was disappointing. Really inventive finish though. X-Pac was climbing out and has balanced on the open door to avoid getting knocked over, but Jericho pulled it back. X-Pac got crotched on the door, and Jericho climbed out to win.
**3/4

In the back, Rikishi asks Foley why Austin isn't here yet. Foley says he doesn't know, but if Austin doesn't show, he'll personally raise Rikishi's hand in the ring by forfeit, because that's how far fetched that is. He tells Rikishi to watch himself because Stone Cold is always closer than you would think.

On HeAT, Eddie was declared too hurt to defend the IC Title after Raw, so Commissioner Foley made it Gunn and Chyna vs. RTC. God damnit.

Match #3: Billy Gunn/Chyna vs. Val Venis/Steven Richards [Mixed Tag Match]
This was horrible. Val Venis tried, but he's with a rusty 2000 Billy Gunn and Chyna, so that wasn't going to result in anything decent at all. Eddie Guerrero came out with a bunch of roses, and he hits Chyna with it. AND THERE'S A PIPE IN THERE. CALLBACK SPOT. Goodfather and Bull come out to cut off Gunn, and Steven gets the cover to win.
3/4*

In the back, Stephanie goes to Triple H and asks him to reconsider and let her at ringside. Triple H says no again, especially not when he's wrestling Chris Benoit. She then gives him a tape and says she has to go take care of business, but that's a tape of the Crossface with something that might interest him. He takes it and again tells her to warn Kurt that if anything happened to her, he was dead.

A hype video for Austin/Rikishi airs.

Rikishi comes out with the sledgehammer, and Steve Austin still isn't here, according to JR and Lawler. Commissioner Foley comes out after Rikishi demands that he be announced as the winner by forfeit, BUT BAH GAWD STONE COLD'S MUSIC HITS. STONE COLD STONE COLD STONE COLD DRIVES THE TRUCK TO RINGSIDE!

Match #4: Steve Austin vs. Rikishi [No Holds Barred]
This might not be a match, but it was 10 minutes of one on one violence and it totally ruled. Austin brought the hate like never before which makes a ton of sense, and Rikishi hung with him a surprising amount. Austin exploded with like 10-20 chair shots to the face, and he put Rikishi in the back of the truck, and he left the building. He put him against a wall outside the building, and tried to murder him, but the cops surrounded him, and I assume Austin being arrested for attempted murder counts as the end of the match. I severely overrated this the first time because it was such a shock, but this is still great stuff.
***1/4

After Stone Cold gets driven away by police, EMTs come and stretcher out Rikishi.

William Regal comes out for his match apparently against Mideon and says he demanded that Commissioner Foley makes Mideon wear clothes if he has to defend his European Championship against him. Regal said that running around naked through the street may be fine in impoverished towns like this, but it will not besmirch his title reign.

Match #5: William Regal [c] vs. Mideon [WWF European Championship]
Mideon is wearing an American Badass Taker t-shirt and breakaway warm up pants. This had Mideon trying to be a good wrestler, so it sucked. He then stripped and had a small thong on to cover his cock, balls, and asshole. It didn't, and we saw brief flashes of a ballsack and a cock head. God damnit. Regal refused to use the Regal Stretch on a nude man, and he hit the Regal Cutter instead.
*1/2

The clearly fake but also clearly amazing Kurt Angle/Rock interview from Heat airs, with clips edited together so it looks like Rock admitting he ordered Rikishi hit Austin. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0piyaanzrZo

In the back, Kevin Kelly interviews Los Conquistadors. Dos just says "Dos" in reply to everything, and Kevin Kelly asks stuff, and Uno just yells SI SENOR~. He asks if they're Edge and Christian, so they yell ARRIBA and run away.

Match #6: The Hardy Boyz [c] vs. Los Conquistadors [WWF Tag Team Championship]
Edge and Christian didn't work nearly as well as fake luchadors here. They mostly just did generic wrestling moves since they don't know actual lucha stuff and for whatever reason, didn't embrace the joke and just do a bunch of Edge and Christian offensive staples and work a generic Hardys showcase with a different ending. The champions get focused on unmasking them. Uno got unmasked, but he had a second mask on, and Dos hit Matt with the Unprettier for the titles!
**1/4

In the back, Triple H is watching the tape, and smiles at something before he walks off.

Match #7: Triple H vs. Chris Benoit
JR finally drops this act and says that if Triple H isn't in Benoit's league as a technician, then nobody in the WWF is. This is an amazing match and an amazing Benoit performance. It's laid out really well too, and the only thing holding it back from being a true classic is Triple H being in the position of a babyface selling a limb. Anyways, he goes after Benoit's knee to start, and it's all really good stuff. Benoit sells a ton and Triple H breaks out all sorts of cool knee related offense. Benoit comes back with arm work, and continues to sell the knee all match. He has great arm stuff, but when it's time for H to come back, that arm is forgotten almost immediately, illustrating the difference between an all-time great and merely a really good wrestler. However, it's not a huge deal, as they go into the finish very quickly after that. Stephanie comes out while Triple H and Benoit fight between the Pedigree and Crossface, and it lets Triple H sneak in a low blow, and he can then hit the Pedigree for the win.
***3/4

Stephanie immediately walks to the back.

A hype video airs for Rock/Angle.

Match #8: The Rock [c] vs. Kurt Angle w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley [WWF Championship - No DQ]
Random No DQ addition because Attitude Era! It's Rock and Angle for 22 minutes, so it's great. Lots of quality exchanges and spots between them before lots of booking happens. They go to the standby time killing spot of aimless brawling around ringside and the ramp too often, as it veers into them just throwing each other into things. It takes them a while to get going, but once they get hot, this is fantastic. Stephanie blocks the People's Elbow, so The Rock hits her with the Rock Bottom! Kurt fights back, but Triple H comes back. He beats Kurt out, and hits Rocky with the Pedigree! He takes Stephanie away, and Kurt covers, but Rock kicks out. MORE RANDOM BRAWLING. They get back in, and Rikishi comes out! RIKISHI GOES FOR A SUPERKICK, BUT ANGLE MOVES AND HE HITS ROCKY! ANGLE SLAM TO RIKISHI! AND ONE TO ROCK, AND ANGLE WINS THE TITLE!

WWF Raw is War
October 23rd, 2000
Hartford, CT

R.I.P. YOKOZUNA :(

Rikishi comes out, and he gets on the mic. He asks where the big badass is, and says he pressed charges on Austin, and now he's sitting in jail trying to make bail. He apologizes to The Rock, and says they can get the title back and they will win the war. The Rock comes out and says there is no we, he wants nothing to do with his apology, and he wants nothing to do with Rikishi. Rikishi says he knows he's upset, but he's really starting to hurt his feelings, and he'll always be there for him. He says he gets it, but he has to do what he has to do, no matter if he likes it or not. The Rock says he feels the same way, so Rock gives him a Rock Bottom.

Match #1: Lita [c] vs. Trish Stratus [WWF Women's Championship - Bra & Panties Match]
How do I rate this? My dick says it was MOTN. Anyways, Lita won.
Well Hard

The Right to Censor comes out post-match and Steven berates both women, before bringing out the newest RTC member...IVORY! She says dressing like whores is not what men want. Immediately after that, a fan yells, "TAKE YOUR FUCKING SHIRT OFF!" and I fucking lose it. She says she is standing up for all women when she says "no more".

In the back, Edge and Christian meet Los Conquistadores and they touch hands to prove they're the same people before the tag title match tonight.

Chris Benoit comes out to get on the mic, and says he's learned some things in the WWF. Talent doesn't matter. Sheer force of will and skill doesn't matter. Determination is useless. And being THE BEST WRESTLER IN THE WORLD doesn't mean one damn thing. This is weirdly eerie to Punk's pre-2013 Rumble promo. He says in the WWF, wrestling ability doesn't matter, and says to look at Triple H. He says all Triple H showed last night was that he needed his wife to beat him, and that he didn't prove him wrong, he only pissed him off. He says that things are changing around here, and his time...his time...his tiiiiiiiiiiiime as that stupid music says, is now. PROVE HIM WRONG.

Match #2: Chris Benoit vs. Road Dogg
They have an awesome awesome awesome match for 2 minutes yet again. Benoit is vicious like a guy who would kill his family here, and Dogg's comeback was good as usual. Dean Malenko ran down to distract Dogg, and Benoit then took him into the Crossface, and he tapped. YEAH RADICALZ!
**

In the back, Rikishi says he's gonna be here all night whether anyone likes it or not.

In the back, Triple H says that Benoit is a better technician and maybe a better wrestler, but last night proved that he's the better man. He then says that Kurt Angle LET Stephanie get attacked, so he's gonna hurt Kurt. And if Rock lays his hands on her again, then like it or not, he'll go after The Rock.

In the APA office, Crash Holly is on the phone and tells Mr. Bradshaw that he can keep watch over this while they're gone. Amazing. T & A come in and throw him out, and say this place has some potential.

In the back, Jericho accidentally spills coffee on Kane, and says he hopes that didn't burn him -- ...sorry. Kane freaks out and throws shit and says he has no idea what it's like to be burned. So this is happening now.

It's supposed to be Regal vs. Jericho for the European Title, but the tape cuts out and comes back with Kane standing over Jericho in the ring. Goddamnit.

In the APA office, T & A try to figure out a name for their protection agency.

In the parking lot, Stephanie & the NEW WWF Champion Kurt Angle arrive. I remember getting home when I was 10, turning on Raw after not seeing or hearing about No Mercy, and seeing Kurt with the WWF Title, and being like :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Kurt Angle & Stephanie come down to the ring, and red, white, and blue confetti falls from the ceiling. He talks up his epic year through his undefeated streak, being EuroContinental Champion, King of the Ring, and now, the WWF Champion, and notes that everyone knows D'Lo doesn't count, so he was also the first Eurocontinental Champion. Foley comes out and hugs Kurt and congratulates him on his first WWF Title win -- AND DEFENSE VS. THE ROCK VS. TRIPLE H TONIGHT IN A TRIPLE THREAT! HAVE A NICE DAY!

In the back, Chyna beats the shit out of the two hos that Eddie fucked in the shower. What a bitch.

Match #3: Too Cool vs. Raven/Tazz
This is pretty much the definition of a solid midcard match for five minutes. Solid work all around, and the finishing run was quite well put together. Raven interrupted the Worm with the Evenflow, and Tazz covered to win.
**1/4

In the back, Christian is picking out the proper sunglasses for tonight, and Pete Gas says Foley wants to see one of them in his office. Edge leaves, and the real shocker is that Pete Gas is still employed in late 2000.

Back from break, Edge comes back and Christian is lying on the ground over a broken table. He says the Dudleyz got him and his shoulder is hurt. Edge says it's only the Conquistadors, and he can handle it.

Match #4: Billy Gunn vs. Val Venis
Chyna and Stevie are both on the floor. Eddie watches from the ramp. Otherwise, this sure as fuck happened. Gunn fought off both RTC members and hit the Fameasser on Val to win.
*1/2

In the back, Stephanie says she'd love to be in H's corner tonight, and he again says no.

Match #5: Los Conquistadores [c] vs. Edge [WWF Tag Team Championship]
The champions do not lie down on basic moves, and Edge gets pissed. They hit the Poetry in Motion, Twist of Fate, and Swanton to win, and I remember being all like "AHAHAHA YEAH TAKE THAT!" as a kid. Nothing match, but awesome angle.
*1/2

On the stage, they unmask as THE HARDY BOYZ! Commissioner Foley comes out and shows footage from earlier of E & C telling the impostor Conquistadores that they looked better in the costumes then them when they won the titles last night. BUSTED! Foley says both title victories stand, and your NEW champions, the Hardy Boyz!

In the back, Rikishi says he's still here and will help The Rock, because he said they'd make this right.

Match #6: Kurt Angle [c] w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. The Rock vs. Triple H [WWF Championship]
This is quite good for an eight minute Attitude Era style main event brawl. A ton of great false finishes, and they changed it up by working an angle where Triple H got KO'd by the ring bell and almost stretchered out, but he got off on the ramp and fought back in. Angle hit both men with the title belt right in front of Hebner, and then Rikishi ran down and attacked Angle, and that's a DQ. Oh, okay. Earl is the worst.
***

Kurt bailed out, and Steve Austin came down. He hit Kurt on the way down, and he and Rikishi went at it. Kurt came back in and attacked him, but Austin hit Kurt with the Stunner, and Rikishi got away.

TONIGHT: ANGLE DEFENDS THE WWF TITLE! HARDYS/DUDLEYS FOR THE TAG TITLES!

Steve Austin comes out to open the show and he gets on the mic. He says he came out to clear up a little misunderstanding with the authorities on what his intentions were with Rikishi at No Mercy. See, what happened after a spirited contest was that he offered Rikishi a ride to the parking lot in his truck. After he got him out, he fell and couldn't get up, and the cops thought that maybe he was trying to run over Rikishi like some big fat-ass speed bump. He says Stone Cold's not the kind of man to bear a grudge like that, and he accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the breaks and hit that cruiser. And when he did it again, it was an accident too, but he will NOT press charges on the police for getting in his way! So basically, he got a big ass fine for leaving 400 pounds of shit on the side of the road. He says he made a promise that he wouldn't lay another hand on Rikishi unless he was positively provoked, and he'll live up to this as long as Mick lives up to his word that he's got Rikishi's fat ass in a cage on Raw! He says if Rikishi provokes him here, he's primed to open another can of whoop ass, and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so!

In the back, Too Cool goes up to Rikishi and ask if he's gonna provoke him, and Rikishi just nods. Scotty says to just let this thing die, and Rikishi asks if they're worried about him. He asks if he looks like he's afraid of Stone Cold, and stands up. He says they would be nowhere if it wasn't for him, and they need to mind their own business, and he walks off.

Match #1: The Hardy Boyz [c] w/ Lita vs. The Dudley Boyz [WWF Tag Team Championship]
This was a decent five minutes. They clearly held back on big stuff, but still did a good amount of shit, because it's these two teams in 2000, and even if they're turned down a bit, they're still working at a really good level all the time. The Dudleys finally get over their weird hump against the Hardys and seem to be about to hit the 3D, but Edge and Christian run out and hit them with chairs for the DQ!
**1/2

Post-match, they lay out The Hardys with shots too.

In the back, Lillian interviews Kurt Angle and Stephanie and asks about the defense against a mystery opponent. Kurt says he already won the title this week AND defended it on Raw against two men, and this is unfair. Stephanie said this is why Commissioner Foley should be impeached.

Right to Censor comes out and Steven gets on the mic. He says in an effort to desensitize the millions of fans, the WWF has force-fed them a diet of corruption, greed, vulgarity, and scantily clad women. He says they're all hungry for the next plate of immorality, and they understand their reactions to the RTC because the truth hurts. Ivory says they're embracing the depths of depravity and with every bra and panties match, No Holds Barred, Hell in the Cell, they lose a part of themselves. She says the WWF will make heroes out of egotism and icons out of vulgarity and it will continue to exploit its female talent for ratings. She blames The Rock for talking about pie and says he should be censored. The Rock comes out and asks what makes them think they have the right to decide what they hear, say, or do. He says since Ivory is the one who called him out, he asks in front of his People if Ivory likes pie as well. She yells that women aren't pieces of meat, and Chyna comes out. She says she and the other women don't appreciate a self-righteous uptight woman telling them anything. Ivory calls her cheap, and Billy Gunn comes out eating a pie. He says he loves pie, so Steven challenges them to fight all four of them, and it's on. Waste of Rock.

In the back, Rikishi and Too Cool are arguing, so Mick Foley books a handicap match.

Match #2: Triple H/Road Dogg vs. Chris Benoit/Dean Malenko
This ruled for the four and a half minutes it got. Benoit and Triple H immediately went nuts on each other, and Malenko and Road Dogg did alright too. They had a good finishing run against each other as Benoit and H brawled on the floor. Saturn ran down and hit Road Dogg from the apron, so Malenko put on the Texas Cloverleaf for the win.
**1/2

In the back, T&A are moving stuff around in the APA office. Albert takes a beer out of the filing cabinet and Crash Holly comes through the door, because he has proper respect. He says Mr. Bradshaw and Mr. Faarooq told him to watch over the office while they were gone, and he's telling them to leave. Trish says he's so cute, so he slaps Albert's beer away and says he's fighting one of them.

Kurt Angle comes out for the mystery defense, and it's Jericho.

Match #3: Kurt Angle [c] w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs. Chris Jericho [WWF Championship]
This was an insane 5 minutes of stuff before booking happened, so I'll go three on it. Angle broke out insanely crisp Suplexes, Jericho was really stiff on his chops and had a ton of energy, and it really shows how far they've both come in 2000 that this can be as good as it was. Jericho gets the Walls of Jericho on, but Kane comes out and attacks him for the DQ.
***

Kane hits Jericho with the Chokeslam.

Match #4: Crash Holly vs. Albert w/ Trish Stratus [Hardcore Rules]
Really enjoyable five minutes. Crash runs away and uses weapons, and Albert is an awesome big guy. Crash tries to blind Albert with a fire extinguisher, but Albert blocks it by ducking behind the steps. He kills Crash with a trash can lid, and then hits a Butterfly Slam for the win.
**1/2

In the back, Coach asks Rikishi about what Austin said earlier. He says Stone Cold is a lair and there is no misunderstanding. Not tonight and not on Monday and when he calls out Stone Cold tonight to face him. He says he is the force here in the WWF, and there is no misunderstanding that Stone Cold is going to be a bloody mess tonight.

Match #5: The Rock/Billy Gunn/Chyna vs. Val Venis/The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan/Steven Richards w/ Ivory
This happened and was not good. The Rock is the only one involved who's actually trying, and Chyna was FIP, so this was the worst. Rock makes Bull tap out to the Sharpshooter, and it finally ends.
*3/4

A video airs on the WWF taking over Wall Street.

Match #6: Raven w/ Tazz vs. Al Snow
Decent 2-3 minutes. Al Snow gets distracted with Tazz, and turns into the Evenflow for the loss.
*3/4

They both beat on him, and Jerry Lawler runs in to fight them off.

Match #7: Rikishi vs. Too Cool
This was a short squash, but it was really entertaining for a few minutes. Rikishi takes off Scotty's head after The Worm with a Superkick, and then hits the Bonzai Drop to win.
*3/4

Post-match, Rikishi calls Austin down and says he's about to provoke him, but someone hit Austin with a wrench right as he turned around to walk out of his locker room and he was busted open. He staggered to the ring and Rikishi beat him up and hit the Bonzai Drop.

TONIGHT: AUSTIN/RIKISHI IN A CAGE! ROCK/JERICHO IN A #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH FOR SMACKDOWN!

Chyna comes out and shows footage from Heat of Eddie making out with The Kat, dressed in Chyna gear. She calls out Eddie for an IC Title match, and he comes out with The Kat, and presents flowers to her like he used to do for Chyna. This is all horrible, but at least Eddie's back from injury.

Match #1: Eddie Guerrero [c] w/ The Kat vs. Chyna [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
This is all Eddie bumping for Chyna, until Steven Richards runs down and hits Chyna with the Stevenkick behind the ref's back to win. This is horrible. Eddie fucking Guerrero needs help to beat Chyna. So much is wrong with this.
*3/4

Billy Gunn, with a newer and shorter haircut, comes out and punches at Eddie to drive him away, and he helps Chyna up.

In the parking lot, Kurt, Edge, Christian, and Steph get out of the limo, and it is Edge's birthday. Steph is crying and doesn't feel like celebrating as she claims she is sick. Kurt follows her off, and Christian wins the night with "DUDE YOU WERE SO TOTALLY BORN TODAY!" If this is the episode I think it is, it is the best E & C episode ever.

Al Snow comes out with a tray of candy for Lawler to be his partner vs. Raven/Tazz, and King says he'll think about it

Right to Censor comes out and Ivory says Lita sends a message that all women are objects. THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Match #2: The Hardy Boyz/Lita vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan/Ivory w/ Steven Richards
This happened. the Hardyz didn't bump like total freaks, which combined with the RTC being SO FUCKING HORRIBLE in the ring, made this not so good. They had a good finishing run, and Steven snuck in to Stevenkick Jeff, and he pulled Ivory on top to win.
**

In the back, Edge's birthday party is underway. Stephanie refuses to see a doctor and wants Kurt to enjoy the party for his friend, and says it's her treat. Christian gives Edge their brand new t-shirt. Triple H comes in, and apparently, they're using his locker room for this party. Edge suggests that since The Game is here, they should play some. He says Steph has the flu, but she says tonight is too important. She holds her stomach and runs off to the bathroom. Meanwhile, SCISSORS TOTALLY CUTS PAPER! YEAH!

In the back, Rikishi tells agent Tony Garea that if Rock doesn't want to see him, he'll go find The Rock.

William Regal comes out and is mad about the Boston Tea Party. He has a list of 127 ways Bostonians could act like civilized people, but The Undertaker returns to come out, and he gives Regal the Last Ride. Taker gets on the mic and says he thinks Regal talks funny and he doesn't like it.

In the back, Rikishi finds Rock, and The Rock says he wants Rikishi out of his life and he mad that very clear. Rikishi asks if he has his back tonight, since Rock owes him. Rock looks at him like he's retarded and then says he's got his back, but very very sarcastically.

Earlier today, Trish redecorated the newly renamed T&APA office with a table cloth and centerpiece. Crash stormed in and threw that all away and challenged Test, who then claimed Crash was Max Mini and he doesn't wrestle midgets.

Match #3: Test w/ Trish Stratus vs. Crash Holly [Hardcore Match]
This was good, but not as good as Albert/Crash, since Test is not as good as Albert. Great night for comedy, bad night for the pro wrestling. Test wins with a Flying Elbow off the top while Crash was in a trash can.
**

In the back, Stephanie is still sick, and Edge and Christian play their theme on kazoos. YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME! YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME! Triple H get pissed, so they play "My Time" on kazoos and he makes them leave.

In the back, Austin says he didn't see who hit him with a wrench on Thursday, but he's gonna leave Rikishi bloodier tonight than he left him on Thursday.

In the back, Triple H gets Stephanie to finally go back to the hotel, but she wants to watch the cage match before she does, and they let that happen.

Match #4: Steve Austin vs. Rikishi [Steel Cage Match]
This was disappointing. There was a brutal cage door shot on the floor to Rikishi's face, and it seemed like he was legit knocked loopy all match, because he seemed very out of it. Austin got the Stunner to win after beating Rikishi up for most of the match. Really violent squash at least.
**1/2

In the back, Kurt and Triple H see Steph to the limo and she drives away. Triple H stops smiling and tells Kurt he hopes he brought his gear, because he's in for a long night.

Al Snow brings Lawler a pitcher of lemonade and a stack of Playboys to try to bribe him into being his partner tonight.

Steven Richards challenges Billy Gunn to put up his Mr. Ass moniker. Gunn accepts if Steven will kiss his ass if he wins, and it r on.

Match #5: Billy Gunn w/ Chyna vs. Steven Richards w/ Val Venis
Hey, so Billy Gunn is a terrible wrestler by now. Not shocking, but it warrants saying, since he's pretty horrible here. A parade of bullshit happened on the floor, and Eddie ran down to hit Gunn with the IC Title and Steven covered to win.
3/4*

In the commish office, Foley tells Jericho that he sent Kane home, so it's 1 on 1 tonight with him vs. The Rock. H comes in as Jericho leaves. H wants Kurt tonight in a non-title match to prove who the man is, and he does the cheap pop along with Foley which is fantastic. Foley give him the match, and they high five.

Foley comes out and introduces his new Lt. Commissioner as Debra!

Match #6: Triple H vs. Kurt Angle
This is Triple H beating the shit out of Kurt all match and Pedigreeing him through the table. He rolls him back in and keeps it up and shoves the ref down for a DQ. This was not necessary at all, and undid a ton of Kurt's recent build for pretty much no reason. Triple H is already super super over, and this is just a glimpse at the post-injury super burial mode H. Your WWF Champion just got the shit kicked out of him and made to look like a bitch with no offense.
**

He gets a chair and then Pedigrees the ref. Kurt gets a chair shot, as do Edge & Christian for trying to help Kurt. I do not understand.

Match #7: The Rock vs. Chris Jericho [#1 Contender's Match]
In the back, Rikishi watches. They have a pretty good 6 minute match with random aimless brawling (but good random aimless brawling) for 1/3rd of the match, before they do big ref bumps and finisher reversals and shit. Jericho gets a visual pin off the Lionsault, which helps him a lot. Rock gets the Rock Bottom to win.
***

Rikishi runs down now, and he attacks The Rock, and he lays him out with a Superkick and the Bonzai Drop. He gets on the mic, and he says he lied to Austin and the people. He says that The Rock knew he did it all along, and was the one who asked him to run down Austin!

November 2nd, 2000

The Rock comes down to the ring to open the show, and calls out Stone Cold Steve Austin. He comes out, and Rock says he's going to say one more time that Rikishi is a liar. Austin says that's well and good, but he's got a little motto that reads DTA. DON'T TRUST ANYBODY, so he doesn't believe that or anything he's got to say, because it could have been anyone who attacked him a week ago with that wrench. Rikishi comes out onto the stage and reiterates that Rock told him to do it at the Survivor Series, and Rock tells Austin he's always done things face to face. Kurt Angle comes out and compares Rock to OJ Simpson and says their title match tonight should be called off because he doesn't want to wrestle a criminal. Rock challenges them both to come down now, but Rikishi refuses and says nobody trusts The Rock. AND ROCK TURNS AROUND INTO THE STUNNER! WHOA!

Match #1: T & A vs. Crash Holly [Hardcore Match]
Blackman watches in the back, and they fight off to the back, basically killing Crash. They try to throw Crash off the loading dock, but Blackman comes over and kicks Albert off. He KO's Test with the kendo stick and throws Crash on top to win.
**

In the back, Debra is talking to Lita. Ivory interrupts, as does Trish, and Jackie, so Debra books a four way for the title. And nobody from the Hardy Boyz, T & A, or Right To Censor can interfere.

Steven Richards comes out and tells people to vote for censorship. The Undertaker comes down, and Steven asks him to join the RTC. He responds by killing him with the Last Ride.

Earlier today, Adam Sandler met with many different superstars to promote LITTLE NICKY~, and he said his favorite was Earl Hebner. You're the worst.

In the back, since Foley isn't here, Edge & Christian try to get a title match vs. The Hardy Boyz. She says she's not an idiot, and says it is DENIED! GAVEL BANG! YEAH!

Match #2: Lita [c] vs. Ivory vs. Trish Stratus vs. Jackie [WWF Women's Championship]
This happened alright. While the ref was distracted, Edge & Christian run in and hit Lita with a Sidewalk Slam/Reverse DDT combo and Ivory covers to win. Cole then yells "WHAT A CROCK!"
3/4*

In the back, Rikishi says that Rock did it once to Austin, and he'll do it again.

Match #3: Chris Jericho vs. Rikishi
This was pretty fun for four minutes, but not as good as their match in January, probably because Rikishi is proving to be a much better face than heel. It good really entertaining by the end with Jericho having to throw everything at Rikishi, but then Kane ran down and Chokeslammed Jericho.
**1/4

Kane left, and Rikishi hit a Bonzai Drop just because. HE'S A BAD MAN. PRINCE AMONG THIEVES AND CROOKS.

In the back, KK asks Kane about this. Kane says this isn't just about coffee.

Match #4: Eddie Guerrero/Val Venis vs. Billy G/Chyna
Eddie and Val tried their best to bump around, but it seemed like Chyna and the newly rechristened "Billy G" were on a fucking mission to be as terrible as they possibly could. They succeeded. Chyna pinned Eddie after a Sleeper Slam, because fuck everything.
*1/2

In the back, a crate drops from the balcony right behind Austin, and when he looks up, there's nobody there.

In the back, Coach goes into Rock's locker room to try and get a word from him, but nobody is there. This does not look good.

Raven joins commentary for the next match. Al Snow comes down and gives King a jewel bedazzled toilet seat.

Match #5: Al Snow vs. Tazz w/ Raven
This happened. Raven got on the apron but Tazz missed Snow and hit him, and Al got a rollup to win. Al is still not good.
*1/2

It's a 2 on 1 until Lawler saves by using the toilet seat, and he and Al run off Raven and Tazz again.

In the back, Triple H says he's taking care of all his unfinished business this week while his wife his sick. Monday, it was Kurt, and tonight, it's Chris Benoit.

Match #6: Triple H vs. Chris Benoit
So, this only got 3 minutes, which is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointing, but the angle was pretty cool. They went back and forth and Benoit was more violent than usual. The ref got hit, and Triple H hit the Pedigree. Dean and Saturn came down but were taken out, and then Eddie Guerrero snuck down and hit H with the IC Title and Benoit pinned.
**1/2

The reunited Radicalz stomp on the man who signed them to the WWF. Triple H comes back in with a chair though, and he runs them off. OH, OKAY. THAT BASICALLY NEUTRALIZES THAT ENTIRE THING. CAN YOU JUST...GOD. TURN HEEL AGAIN, YOU'RE TERRIBLE AT THIS.

In the back, The Rock says his whereabouts earlier are nobody's business, and warns Kevin Kelly not to ever concern himself with Rock's business again.

Match #7: Kurt Angle [c] vs. The Rock [WWF Championship]
They have eight minutes, and it's awesome as usual. Actually better than the PPV due to the lack of wasted time. Usual great bumping from both men, and Kurt's punches are largely improved by now. They do something in a refreshing change of pace as Kurt tries to get counted out twice. A good old chickenshit heel champion hadn't been in the WWF since like Ric Flair. Which is another reason Kurt's first WWF Title run is amazing. Anyways, Rikishi comes down and attacks The Rock for the DQ.
***

It's a 2 on 1, until Steve Austin runs down and clears the ring. He then turns into a Rock Bottom as a receipt for earlier.

TONIGHT: ROCK/AUSTIN VS. ANGLE/RIKISHI!

VINCE MCMAHON WALKS OUT TO THE RING FUCK YEAH! He gets on the mic, and after four months away, he...he...tells people to vote in the election. After an absurdly long time for a voting PSA, Steve Austin comes out and says he's thought about it, and he's come to realize that some evil mastermind had to be behind Rikishi hitting him with a car, and when he thinks "evil mastermind" he thinks Vince McMahon. Before he can reply, Kurt and Stephanie come out, and Kurt tells Austin not to talk to Vince like that, bucko. He blames George W. Bush for this, since Austin blames everyone since everyone wants to hit him with a car these days. Kurt says he is renouncing his ties to the state of Texas as an Olympian and WWF Champion, because if they want to cheer a loser like Austin, he's done. Stephanie asks Austin who he thinks he is exactly, and Kurt attacks from behind. He gets a Stunner, and Vince and Stephanie leave.

In the parking lot, Vince says something momentous will happen tonight, and he wants Stephanie out of here. Kurt says there's no title defense and he'll be fine. Vince and Stephanie leave in the limo. Kurt says to himself that this will be a night like no other, especially for Triple H.

Match #1: The Undertaker vs. Val Venis
RTC is banned from ringside, otherwise they lose their tag title match later. So that's the night that happens. God damnit. Val tries real hard and puts up a great fight for five minutes, but Taker kills him in the end with the Last Ride.
**3/4

In the back, Triple H asks Foley for The Radicalz tonight. Foley says he can have it if he can find 3 other guys to team with, and H says he can do it. Austin comes up, and asks what the deal is booking that tag match tonight. Foley says he knows Rock isn't the mastermind so he booked this to try and smooth things over. H pats Austin on the shoulder, and says it's like Austin always says, "Don't trust anybody." Triple H then leaves, and Austin says if Rock was behind it, he's coming for Foley too for booking this.

In the back, Kane cuts a promo about how society doesn't want to see him, but they want someone pretty like Jericho, and that's why he hates Jericho.

In the back, Triple H asks Road Dogg, and he says he's always got his back. They discuss someone else, and they both say they haven't talked to him since he returned, so they go to ask him. They obviously need Regal on their team, I can hope.

In the back, Dogg and Hunter go to Gunn and Chyna. Goddamnit. They agree to team up one more time to get their hands on Eddie. God damnit. IF YOU WANTED A DX REUNION, MAYBE GET THE MEMBER WHO WAS FUCKING AWESOME, AND NOT THE USELESS SLAG.

Match #2: Too Cool vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus
They have a solid little basic match with both Albert and Sexay being really on their games here. Albert hits Sexay with the Baldo Bomb behind the ref's back and T & A win.
**1/4

They beat on Too Cool post match, until Crash Holly and the debuting Molly Holly come down to make the save.

Match #3: Triple H/The New Age Outlaws/Chyna vs. Chris Benoit/Eddie Guerrero/Dean Malenko/Perry Saturn w/ Terri
HUUUUUUGE pop for DX. This was super super fucking awesome for 5 minutes and the best match Chyna's probably in until she leaves. Billy Gunn was really motivated here since he's back with DX for the night, and he and Eddie had a great exchange to open. Eddie seems back in form too. The Radicalz beatdown on Road Dogg was brutal and amazing like old times, and Dogg was a fantastic face in peril as always. Triple H's hot tag ruled again, and he Pedigree'd Dean to win.
***

The Radicalz beat on DX post-match, and Kurt Angle runs down, and he lays out Triple H with the WWF Title and joins in the group stomping of DX.

In the parking lot, The Rock arrives.

Match #4: The Hardy Boyz [c] w/ Lita vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan w/ Steven Richards & Ivory [WWF Tag Team Championship]
Total Hardyz carryjob for five minutes, ans easily the best straight RTC tag. Matt bumped huge for a change during the face in peril seg, and Jeff's hot tag and fiery finishing run ruled. Lita and Ivory brawled to the back, and the ref got bumped. Matt took out Good Dad and Steven on the floor, and Bull ate the Swanton. Edge and Christian ran down, but the Hardyz got rid of them. Steven nailed Jeff with the title from the apron, and Bull covered AND THE RTC WON THE TAG TITLE FUCK NO. I remember that until the fall of 2001, my bedtime was 9 central, so I only ever saw the first hour. I snuck back out of bed on this night, wanting to see the main event. However, when this happened, I was a HUGE Hardy mark because of flips and bright colors, and I yelled "NOOOOOOOO!" after the decision. Like, in my mind, it was one of those moments when everything slowed down. Anyways, my mom heard me and made me go to bed. :( . Good match though.
**3/4

In the back, Kurt Angle storms into Rock's locker room, and nails him with the title and beats the shit out of him before agents and referees pull him off. KURT ANGLE, ON A TEAR WITHOUT STEPHANIE TONIGHT.

In the back, Edge & Christian celebrate with a kazoo version of Benoit's song. Foley comes over and makes them vs. Dudleyz tonight in a table match since they clearly want to see in-ring action tonight, and then adds lyrics to his own theme song.

Match #5: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Kane [WWF Hardcore Championship]
This was good fun, in a monster vs. hardcore innovation kung fu man with reverse charisma kind of way. Which is a very unique situation, I realize now. Chris Jericho ran down with a chair as Kane had the steps, and he hit the steps into his face with the chair, and Blackman covered to win.
**1/4

In the back, Rock finds Austin and says he will always handle his business man to man like he proved on Smackdown, and he doesn't need to hide from anything. Austin says he made his style real clear too with that Stunner, and he don't trust anybody and he ain't playing hide and seek, but SOMEONE is getting one hell of a serious ass whooping. Rock says he had nothing to do with it, but he hopes Austin does whoop the ass of whoever the accomplice is.

Match #6: Jerry Lawler vs. Raven w/ Tazz
Fuck yeah. Tazz does commentary and says he's gonna carry JR. They were having an awesome match for 2 minutes, and Lawler hit a great dropkick. He had Raven set for the Piledriver, and Tazz got in and attacked for the 2 on 1.
**

Al Snow runs down to save with Head, and then another Head with a crown on it. Awesome. King and Al Snow clean house.

In the back, RTC says they are in control. JR's venom in this is amazing. "YEAH, THAT'S ONE HELL OF A PARTY RTC, LOOK LIKE YOU'RE HAVING A LOT OF FUN. HAVE ANOTHER GLASS OF KOOL AID, YOU IDIOTS." He failed to yell about Steven's white socks and call them nerds, but it was still wonderful.

Match #7: The Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian [Table Match]
This was good fun for 3 minutes, but not a lot else. E & C bump around and take over with cheating. The Hardy Boyz run down and throw Edge out. Lita hits Christian with the Flying Huracanana, and he eats a 3D through the table to win.
**

The Hardyz put Edge on a table on the floor, and Jeff puts him through with a Swanton Bomb off the top.

In the back, Rikishi says tonight won't be a tag match, it'll be he & Kurt vs. Austin, and the truth will come out.

In the back, The Rock WALKS~, and a cart is rolled into him at a high speed, and crushes him against the wall. The camera doesn't catch who did it. The real problem here is horrible camera men.

During break, EMTs and Foley checked on Rock, and he couldn't stand, so Foley ordered them to stretcher him out.

Match #8: Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle/Rikishi
This was all well and fun for three or four minutes, but the angle makes this awesome and it's all set up to that. Triple H runs down near the end after Rikishi brings a slegehammer in and he fights Kurt off. H gets the sledgehammer AND TRIPLE H HITS AUSTIN IN THE FACE WITH THE SLEDGEHAMMER
**

Triple H puts on a black glove to punch Austin, and he and Rikishi beat the shit out of a now bloodied Austin. Rikishi hits the Bonzai Drop and Triple H gets the mic. He says Austin's search is over, because now he knows.

TONIGHT: TAKER VS. BENOIT VS. KANE VS. JERICHO IN A #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH!

Triple H comes out and gets on the mic. He asks where the cheers are now, and says he's glad he makes the fans sick, because the last few months of being cheered by them made HIM sick. He asks who ran down Stone Cold, and asks who could do such a thing and could be that sick. Who could mastermind such a plan? He introduces the man who got into the cat, Rikishi, who comes out. He says he never gave a damn about The Rock. He was just an excuse, and says this is how he got his big break and got into the WWF. He says The Rock can never be family, and he's just another joke. Triple H says the wrench guy, the guy throwing crates was all him. Who gained the most in Austin's absence? HE DID. HE HELD THE TITLE LONGER THAN ANYONE ELSE. HE MARRIED THE BOSS' DAUGHTER. HE RAN THE WWF, ALL IN AUSTIN'S ABSENCE. Foley comes out and says he's disappointed because he was starting to like Triple H. He books Triple H vs. Austin and Rikishi vs. Rock for Survivor Series, and Rock/Austin vs. H/Rikishi tonight!

Match #1: Eddie Guerrero [c] w/ Perry Saturn & Terri vs. Billy Gunn w/ Chyna [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
THE DEBUT OF "THE ONE" BILLY GUNN! I'VE GOT IT AAAAAAALL~~ This is all Eddie bumping around for a minute or two until Saturn runs in for the DQ.
*3/4

Benoit and Dean also run out to attack, and Road Dogg tries to save but fails. Benoit holds Chyna in the Crossface for a bit before they leave.

Chris Jericho comes out to the stage and shows slides of famous celebrities with Kane masks plastered on.

In the parking lot, Kurt Angle arrives and sees Lillian Garcia waiting, and is upset when Lillian says she was actually waiting for Rock or Austin.

Match #2: The Hardy Boyz w/ Lita vs. Edge & Christian
Really fun and good 4 minute tag. Jeff is isolated and has his arm worked over, and his selling as usual in this time is really good and he bumps like crazy. Matt's hot tag ruled, and Jeff hit the Swanton on Christian and Matt covered to win. It's kind of upsetting that this pairing never gets a TV tag that's over like 5 minutes.
**3/4

Match #3: The Undertaker vs. Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kane [#1 Contender's Match]

We get a solid minute and a half of Benoit vs. Jericho being wonderful to start, so that's always good. The rest of this was less awesome, but still pretty fun, with an enjoyable finishing run. They worked a story where Kane wanted to hurt Jericho more than he wanted to win, and kept actively costing Jericho the match. This led to Taker throwing Kane out, and hitting a beaten up Jericho with the Last Ride to win.
***

In the parking lot, The Rock gets here but refuses an interview and storms off.

Match #4: The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan [c] w/ Steven Richards & Ivory vs. The Dudley Boyz [WWF Tag Team Championship]
This sucked. RTC are terrible, and while the Dudleys are in their prime, they're not going to pull off the lunatic bumping and offense to get something interesting out of the RTC. So this was bland as shit. Val ran down and KO'd Bubba with the title belt, and Goodfather covered to win.
*1/2

Kurt Angle comes out, and says that he told people for months that Triple H was a horrible person, and he was right. However, with Triple H out of the picture and the world now seeing the kind of man that he is, the people need a hero, and Kurt Angle is that hero. Beer guzzling rednecks don't cut it, and losers don't cut it, so Stone Cold and the Rock are out, and he's the hero America needs. He says until the Cowboys stop sucking, consider him the one man equivalent to America's Team. The Undertaker comes out, and says Kurt is in his yard, and at Survivor Series, Kurt becomes the first casualty of Deadman Inc.

Match #6: Steve Blackman/Crash Holly w/ Molly Holly vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus [Hardcore Match]
This was very enjoyable and had a ton of really fun things like T & A murdering Crash on stuff, and Blackman teaching Crash how to do some of his insane kung fu hardcore spots. Molly got involved with a trash can lid to Trish and a Frankensteiner to Test. Crash hit Test with a kendo stick shot off the top rope to win.
**1/2

Footage of the WrestleMania X-7 press conference aired.

In the back, Kevin Kelly interviews the Rock. He says Triple H runs his mouth about being so smart, but it doesn't take knowledge to ambush someone from behind and take them out, but it does take a set of testicles so small that it would make Kevin Kelly look well endowed. He says Rikishi runs his mouth too about how they can't be family, but whether he likes it or not, they ARE related. He's the Brahma Bull, and since Rikishi is full of bullshit, the Rock is his daddy and at Survivor Series, he's going one on one with the Great One. He says tonight's the night the law of the jungle takes over, and the Rattlesnake takes a bite out of Triple H and the Brahma Bull takes his horns, shines them up real nice, and he'll stick them straight up their candy asses. If you smellllllllllllllllllllllllllllll what The Rock is cookin.

The main event tag never has a bell ring and is a brawl, but The Radicalz run down to attack the faces, and H and Rikishi bail to the stage. Rock and Austin fight off a fucking 4 on 2 somehow, and The Radicalz make a human wall on the floor between Rock/Austin and H/Rikishi to end the show.

November 13th, 2000

Kurt Angle comes down and says he's accepted a challenge for his WWF Championship, and will fight a very tough young man from a stubborn but famous family who says they can fight with one hand tied behind their back. Crash Holly comes out.

Match #1: Kurt Angle [c] vs. Crash Holly w/ Molly Holly [WWF Championship]
The rope on Crash's arm falls off in under a minute, so it's a normal match. They have pretty decent chemistry as KOTR showed, and Angle bumps around big to create a few great nearfalls in a 3 minute match. He gets on the Ankle Lock, and Crash taps, marking the debut of that.
**1/2

He hits Crash with a chair, and HARDCORE HOLLY RETURNS! GOD DAMNIT. Fuck. He beats on Kurt in revenge for the arm injury, and Edge & Christian run down to save. The Undertaker then comes down and disposes of E & C, but Angle gets away before Taker can get him.

In the back, Trish tells T & A that one of them has to team with Kane tonight according Foley. A coin toss is had, and Test loses.

In the back, Kurt, Edge, & Christian complain to Foley about what happened and Edge says the heinousifications are endless. Christian just yells INTERFERENCE INTERFERENCE INTERFERENCE like JR. Kurt says this isn't fair, so Foley books a six man with them vs. Taker & The Hollys so nobody would interfere. AND THAT IS FINAL. GAVEL BANG. YEAH.

Match #2: Chris Jericho/Steve Blackman vs. Kane/Test w/ Trish Stratus [Hardcore Match]
This was good enough for 4 minutes. Usual epic Blackman spots with weapons, especially garbage cans and kendo sticks. Test accidentally hit Kane with a kendo stick, and Jericho hit the Lionsault to win.
**1/4

Post-match, Kane hit Test with the Chokeslam for his failure.

The Radicalz come down to the ring and get the mic. Benoit says he used to not get along with Triple H, but after wrestling him, and after last week on Raw, learning just how far Triple H would go to get ahead, that gave him new respect for Triple H, and they've joined forces again. He shows the footage from Smackdown, and said Triple H came to them for help after last Monday night, and they didn't think twice about it, because they've learned how to play the game too. Foley comes out and books them vs. The Rock/Austin/Billy Gunn/Chyna in the main event!

In the back, Kane attacks Jericho and throws him through a glass window.

Match #3: The Dudley Boyz vs. Raven/Tazz
This happened for five minutes. I like the moderate uptick in match times, since it lets them do something close to actual match strcture. Raven and Tazz keep accidentally hitting each other, and the Dudley Boyz hit Tazz with the 3D to win.
**1/4

Post-match, Tazz puts Raven through a table with the Exploder. Well, that was a fun team while it lasted.

In the back, Lo Down talks to Tiger Ali Singh. GOD DAMNIT. Back from break, they try to cut a promo but Jericho interrupts and storms on the interview set with his head bandaged up, and they leave. He says he wants Kane at Survivor Series.

Match #4: Kurt Angle/Edge & Christian vs. The Undertaker/The Hollys w/ Molly Holly
This got seven minutes, so they also got to develop shit. Mostly Crash being an awesome little guy, and then all three of the heels bumping around big time. They seemed like they were trying to compete, but it's not a competition at all, and Kurt is the king heel bumper by this point in the company. Kurt got the Chokeslam and Last Ride, and Taker won for his team.
**3/4

In the back, Debra tells the Hardy Boyz & Lita that they have rematches for both of their titles tonight in a 6 person tag.

Match #5: The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan/Ivory [c] vs. The Hardy Boyz/Lita [WWF Tag Team & Women's Championships]
This was good fun, although it was pretty much just the Hardyz running through offense for three minutes before Goodfather pulled the ref out and pushed him down for the cheap DQ. They gave a lot of matches more time than the usual 3-4 minutes tonight, and this was absolutely the right choice to take time away from. The time management skills in the WWF are improving a lot over the last few months.
**

Val Venis came down after the match, and with his help the RTC layed out Team Xtreme.

In the back, Benoit was on the phone with someone, and he said all was going as planned. JR yelled that it's Triple H, since he's not here tonight.

William Regal comes out and says since the U.S. can't do an election right, maybe they should adopt a monarchy.

Match #6: William Regal [c] vs. Road Dogg [WWF European Championship]
This is AWESOME, and Regal finally gets actually violent in the WWF. Road Dogg has an awesome comeback, and then something awful happens. K-KWIK~ runs out and attacks Regal for the DQ. This was a victim of the night as it got two and a half minutes, but it was so entertaining besides the terrible end.
**1/4

Dogg is okay with this despite being cost the title belt, and K-Kwik says it's time to rap, and they sing GETTIN' ROWDY! Holy shit, so I guess something happened on Heat?

In the back, Cole is with Steve Austin for an interview. Austin says all hell's gonna break loose, but says he's got a funny feeling in his gut. He pauses and looks around, and says something ain't right.

In the back, Foley and Debra book Jericho vs. Kane, Blackman/Crash/Trish vs. T & A/Trish, Ivory vs. Lita for the Women's Title, Hardyz/Dudleys vs. Edge/Christian/Goodfather/Bull in a SurSer tag, all for Survivor Series.

Match #7: The Rock/Steve Austin/Billy Gunn/Chyna vs. Chris Benoit/Eddie Guerrero/Dean Malenko/Perry Saturn w/ Terri
This is 10 minutes, and pretty awesome. Awesome bursts from Rock & Austin, and Chyna was isolated for most of the match, which means that she couldn't do offense and was out of the way for the finishing run. The Radicalz didn't hold back Rock and Benoit brawled off to the back, and Austin stomped Eddie in the corner for like a minute straight, and he hit the Stunner to win.
***

In the back, Rock & Benoit keep brawling, and go into the parking lot. Benoit throws him into a wall, and signals for someone. A car driven by Triple H, with Rikishi in the passenger side, comes speeding over, and Rikishi hits Rock in the chest with a sledgehammer! Rock takes a totally insane bump on the cement and Rikishi says that's the way it's gonna be with his punk ass, and they drive away.

November 16th, 2000
Indianapolis, IN

Rikishi comes down with a sledgehammer, and he gets on the mic. He says that The Rock isn't here because he had a little accident on Raw, and couldn't do anything even if he was. Commissioner Foley comes out and says if Rock might not be here, he doesn't want Rikishi here either, because he makes everyone sick. He brings cops down, and they escort Rikishi out.

Match #1: T & A vs. The Hollys
The women are at ringside. This is good as long as it's Albert vs. Crash, but that wasn't nearly a long enough portion. The Hardcore vs. Test part at the end was brutal in a bad way. Bobcore gets a horribly botched rollup on Test to win.
*3/4

Post-match, T & A lay out The Hollys.

From the WWE TV studios, Triple H cut a promo going over his grand plan again with clips. There's really nothing new said here, and he just keeps saying that nobody saw it coming.

Match #2: Too Cool vs. Raven/Tazz
This sure happened. Maybe 2 minutes tops, and Raven hits Tazz with the Evenflow in revenge for Raw, and Too Cool wins. No idea why Tazz agreed to team with Raven again after Raw, this seems like the most obvious double cross.
*1/2

Post-match, Raven hits Tazz with the Evenflow onto the seat of an open chair.

In the back, The Radicalz prepare for Eddie vs. Austin, and say the plan is in motion.

Eddie Guerrero comes out and calls out Austin, but nobody comes. In the back, the other three watch, and Austin comes into their room disguised as a waiter and kills them all with a cookie sheet. He then gets them inside and puts a tractor or something against the door to keep them locked there.

Match #3: Steve Austin vs. Eddie Guerrero
So, this was a squash for three minutes, and while that's really shitty, it was a great squash. Eddie can't even sustain an advantage after he uses a chair on Austin's knee and the Stunner wins in around 3 minutes.
**

In the parking lot, The Rock arrives.

In the back, The Radicalz are recovering. Foley comes in and books Dean/Saturn vs. Road Dogg/K-Kwik, and Benoit vs. The Rock!

Edge & Christian come down to do commentary.

Match #4: The Hardy Boyz/The Dudley Boyz vs. Val Venis/Steven Richards/The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan
Ivory and Lita are ringside and both interfere before Lita attacks Ivory. This is actually just 2 minutes long, because fuck matches tonight, and fuck that thing I said on Raw about better time management. The faces clean house and a 3D/Swanton combo wins over Good Dad.
**

Post-match, it's a 6 on 4, and the RTC lays out all four faces with title belt shots. Lita gets in, and Ivory nails her from behind with the women's title belt.

In the back, Kurt tries to talk tag strategy with Kane and asks if he has any double teams he'd like to try, but he just walks off.

Match #5: The Undertaker/Chris Jericho vs. Kurt Angle/Kane [No Disqualification Match]
This was rather enjoyable. Jericho's hate for Kane brought out that wonderful babyface fire of his, and yeah, good No DQ shit happening, although low grade stuff to save for PPV. Jericho got Chokeslammed through the announce table, and then it was a 2 on 1. Kane killed Taker with a chair and Kurt covered to win.
**3/4

For the next match, Road Dogg is now wearing jean overalls and a baseball jersey. and they do the awful GETTING ROWDY~ rap on the way down. God fucking damnit.

Match #6: Dean Malenko/Perry Saturn w/ Terri vs. Road Dogg/K-Kwik
R-Truth was pretty good here actually, with great energy, and the Radicalz beatdown on Road Dogg ruled as usual. Truth got a blind tag and a top rope splash on Malenko to get the upset.
**1/2

In the back, Foley books Radicalz vs. Outlaws/Chyna/Kwik in an elimination match for Survivor Series.

Jessie Ventura will be your XFL commentator. CANNOT WAIT.

Match #7: The Rock vs. Chris Benoit
They got 11 minutes one on one, so it ruled as always. A lot of work on Rock's hurt chest and midsection, and the general amazing chemistry that these two have vs. each other. At around 11 minutes, Rikishi comes down through the crowd and attacks The Rock, leading to the end of the match. If Earl Hebner was a competent official, he would call for a DQ, but he doesn't.
***1/4

Benoit and Rikishi beat up Rock, and he gets a Bonzai Drop. Rock is bleeding internally and coughing up blood to end the show.

WWF SURVIVOR SERIES 2000
NOVEMBER 19TH, 2000
TAMPA, FL

Match #1: Steve Blackman/Crash Holly/Molly Holly vs. T & A/Trish Stratus

This was only five minutes, so there's not a ton to talk about here. When Albert was in, it was a lot of fun, since he matches up well with Crash and Blackman. Test hasn't really looked good since the end of the Hardys feud, but he looked pretty good here bumping around for Crash and hitting DAT BOOT. But then he sucked against Blackman, so Heel Test might just rule against small wrestlers. Molly gets Trish with a sunset flip off the top to win.
**

In the back, Kurt finds Edge & Christian and asks how they are. Edge says they'd love to help him against The Undertaker, but their match is RIGHT after his, and he thinks Christian might be coming down with something too. He says he had some bad chili, and Kurt says that won't be necessary, because he owns The Undertaker. He just wants to know if they wanted to go celebrate tonight, and he'll see them later.

In the back, Lo Down & Tiger Ali Singh weren't cleared by security to go backstage and were escorted out.

Match #2: Chris Benoit/Eddie Guerrero/Dean Malenko/Perry Saturn w/ Terri vs. Road Dogg/Billy Gunn/Chyna/K-Kwik [Elimination Match]
The Radicalz did the best they could for 12 minutes. Chyna goes out first after Eddie hits her with the IC Title. Eddie did some fun bumping, and Gunn eliminated him with a Sleeper Slam. There was an AWESOME K-Kwik vs. Benoit exchange, and Benoit eliminated him with a German Suplex. Unfortunately, we don't get much of the Outlaws, since Dogg makes a brief comeback, but Saturn hits a Northern Lights Suplex to eliminate him, and it's 3 on 1. They do stuff and Gunn still sucks. He eliminates Malenko with the Fameasser, but Benoit & Saturn get the old "hold his foot down from the outside on a pin" thing to eliminate him and win. This was mostly Saturn & Gunn in the ring until the final minutes. Saturn's not bad or anything, but is clearly the least of the four.
**1/2

In the back, The Rock refuses an interview as he walks in.

In the back, Cole interviews Chris Jericho. He says he thought this was about coffee, but then he realized this is a man with a burning rage, who can't look into the mirror without seeing the ugly bitter monster waiting to escape. And that's not Kane, it's him.

Match #3: Chris Jericho vs. Kane
This was pretty awesome, actually. Jericho got the best singles Kane match of the year, probably. Kane tried to just punish Jericho, but when Jericho started to come back, he ended it as soon as he could. A ton of great big/little spots, and the real best comparison would be Punk/Kane from Backlash 2009, minus the arm work, as Jericho slowly chips away at Kane before throwing out everything at the end. Kane caught Jericho in mid-Lionsault with a Chokeslam to win.
***

In the back, The Radicalz receive word from Terri that Triple H is here and will meet up with them later.

William Regal comes out and gets the mic before his match. He says it's easy to harp on the fact that they can't do a simple thing like elect a President, but that's the least of their worries. They can't even grasp decent manners and the concepts of "please" and "thank you", but then Bobcore comes out to interrupt him for the match.

Match #4: William Regal [c] vs. Hardcore Holly [WWF European Championship]
Hardcore Holly is pretty terrible in a real match yet again. This is all Regal killing his arm in awesome fashion, and him not selling until the end. He then hits Regal with the title for the DQ.
*3/4

In the back, Trish comes onto Kurt, saying she can give him special assistance. He continues to be totally clueless, and he says he doesn't need Test or Albert's help tonight, but thanks her for asking.

Match #5: The Rock vs. Rikishi
This is awesome, largely due to Rikishi's great bumping in the finishing run, and The Rock selling everything like death. Perhaps the best selling of his career, in regards to the constant pain in his chest. Rikishi gets ridiculously violent in the control segment, and Rock can barely make a comeback. He gets the Pinebuster and People's Elbow to win.
***1/2

Post-match, Rikishi hits Rock with FOUR Banzai Drops, and takes out the refs who try to stop it.

In the back, Foley tells Triple H and The Radicalz that all of The Radiczlaz are banned from ringside, and it's No Disqualifications for the main event. Triple H says he's fine with that, and Foley leaves. He then says they'll see how Austin likes not having use of his legs, because he's going to finish the job this year.

Match #6: Ivory [c] vs. Lita [WWF Women's Championship]
Not great, but they tried very hard for three minutes. Lita got a nasty cut over her eye here, and probably is why this was sloppy down the stretch. Steven came down for a distraction, and Ivory blocked the Moonsault with the title belt to retain.
*

In the back, Jericho attacks Kane and breaks a 2x4 on his face and whips him with it.

In the back, The Undertaker says Kurt becomes a victim of Deadman Inc. as the Decade of Destruction rolls on.

Match #7: Kurt Angle [c] vs. The Undertaker [WWF Championship]
This was entertaining, but not the best they're capable of. A festival of Kurt being a chickenshit heel, without any of the great bumping he showed in the last month or so, or against Taker on TV in September. Edge and Christian came down at a point to distract the ref as Kurt tapped out. They then got taken out by Taker, and the ref missed Taker having the pin on a Chokeslam. Kurt crawled under the ring, and Taker pulled him out and hit the Last Ride in the ring. He had it, but the ref said it wasn't Kurt. The REAL Angle came from the other side and got a schoolboy with the tights to win.
**1/2

Angle ran away, and Taker figured it out and stormed off. In the parking lot, Kurt immediately ran to his car and drove away.

Match #8: The Hardy Boyz/The Dudley Boyz vs. Edge/Christian/The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan w/ Val Venis [Elimination Match]
The crowd is DEAD for this. I blame the RTC. And Andy. It really takes away from what is a very well booked elimination tag. It was too short at only 10 minutes, but it was really good for a match involving the RTC. The Hardyz wore camo tops in a neat team thing. E & C eliminated D-Von & Matt early on leaving it as 4 on 2. Edge accidentally Speared Bull and Bubba pinned BB. He got a Bubba Bomb on Edge, and Christian missed a splash off the top and hit Edge, and Bubba then pinned Edge. The Pimp Drop from Gooddad pinned Bubba then, and it's 2 on 1. Jeff got the Swanton on Christian to get rid of him, and Val missed a clothesline fro mthe apron and hit Goodfather, and Jeff won. Like I said, this was worked fine, but it was too short for this kind of match and the crowd was dead.
**1/4

Post-match, Steven and Bull come out to beat on Jeff, but Matt & The Dudleyz ran to save and cleaned house. They got tables in, and Matt put Val through with a Flying Legdrop, and Steven ate the Superbomb through a table from The Dudley Boyz.

Match #9: Steve Austin vs. Triple H
This wasn't good. Random aimless brawling with a few cool spots thrown in, but Jesus Christ, this was 25 minutes and they were clearly just doing stuff before the angle happened. They go to the back, and The Radicalz attack Austin. They get them off, and Triple H is waiting in a car in the parking lot. He waits for Austin to come outside, but Austin is in a forklift, and he lifts H like 20 feet in the air at least probably more. Triple H begs, and Austin drops the car upside down to the parking lot. I guess that's the end of the match?
**

Yeah, a homicide ends the show, so hey.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley returns and comes down to open the show. I note that the sound quality on this is TERRIBLE, so you can watch the matches fine, but the mic work isn't easy to follow. She says it's a miracle that Triple H is alive, and Austin is a horrible person, WHAT THE HELL THAT IS MURDER, etc. She says he has no broken bones, but many cuts and bruises. She said H told her to publicly apologize on his behalf to all the fans and Steve Austin for his conduct, and he holds nothing against Austin. She calls out Austin to accept her apology and end this feud before it ends all of them. Austin comes out and says he's sorry he didn't do it again and kill him. POP. He runs her out by saying he's going to go just a little farther next time, etc. Chris Benoit then comes onto the stage. He challenges Austin to a wrestling match tonight, because he's the best WRESTLER in the WWF, and it's made.

RTC comes out and says they cannot allow the Dudleyz to put people through tables and promote unnecessary violence. I guess the right to use tables is on the line? I can't really hear a thing on this.

Match #1: The Goodather/Bull Buchanan [c] w/ Steven Richards vs. The Dudley Boyz [WWF Tag Team Championship]
This happened. And it sucked. The RTC are really horrible and this got about three minutes. The 3D was hit, but Steven caused the DQ.
*3/4

Post-match, Steven is Superbombed through a table.

In the back, Regal buys protection from the T & APA for his Hardcore Rules match against Bobcore and calls Trish a comely lass. Hardcore Holly sees this on the monitor. Crash says he has his back, and Hardcore calls him a dumb bastard and says he's fine.

In the back, Earl Hebner goes over the Kurt/Taker finish and says he can't count a pin on someone not in the match.

Match #2: William Regal vs. Hardcore Holly [Hardcore Match]
So hey, Holly is still awful. Total prop for an angle, as they got to the back in about two minutes tops and T & A helped Regal win.
*1/2

Blackman and Crash attack T & A now, and they flee on a golf cart. AMAZING PAYOFF.

In the back, Lo Down & Tiger Ali Singh are again not let in the building.

Match #3: The Rock/Chris Jericho vs. Rikishi/Kane
This was good fun, but not overly great, since Kane was back to Kane'ing it up all over the place. Rock was on in his selling and Jericho's hate for Kane was very good. It got awesome in the finishing run, and Jericho hit Kane with a chair, and he then ate the Rock Bottom to win.
**1/2

Jericho puts Kane in the Walls of Jericho, and Rock puts Rikishi in the Sharpshooter. Referees come down to pull them off, and Kane gets the Lionsault, and Rikishi gets a Rock Bottom.

Kurt Angle comes out with his clone from Survivor Series, and says it's his brother Eric, and Eric was under the ring at Survivor Series merely to surprise him when he won. It's true. IT'S TRUE. He asks Eric if that's accurate, and he also says it's true. It's true. The Undertaker comes out and Chokeslams Eric. He beats Kurt up to the stage, and he Chokeslams Kurt off the stage and through a table. Taker then walks right back without saying a single word.

In the back, Taker demands that Foley book him vs. both Angles.

Match #4: Eddie Guerrero/Dean Malenko/Perry Saturn w/ Terri vs. The New Age Outlaws/K-Kwik
This was good while it lasted, which was just over four minutes. Eddie's bumping was great as he's really back to form and looking fully recovered from that elbow injury at last and no longer having to be a babyface, and Road Dogg was fantastic as well, since he cared again for some reason. It broke down, and Gunn hit Saturn with the Fameasser, and kwik hit Saturn with a 450 Splash to win. R-TRUTH WITH THE FLIPS.
**1/4

In the back, Edge & Christian ask Commissioner Foley to tell Mr. Taker that they meant no ill will last night when they helped Kurt, and present an urn as a token of their appreciation. Foley then books Taker vs. Edge/Christian tonight.

Chyna comes down to do commentary.

Mach #5: Ivory [c] vs. Molly Holly [WWF Women's Championship]
This happened for 90 seconds! Trish Stratus ran out and DDT'd Molly on the floor behind the ref's back and Ivory pinned inside.
1/2*

Match #6: The Undertaker vs. Edge & Christian

This was also 90 seconds and a total squash, but Edge and Christian both took lunatic bumps and made Taker look godly. Christian falls to the Last Ride.
*3/4

In the back, The Radicalz pump up Benoit and pat him on the back as he WALKS~.

Match #7: Steve Austin vs. Chris Benoit
So yeah, this was fucking AWESOME. Austin goes out and WRESTLES Benoit to really throw him off, since Benoit's now used to having to force brawlers onto the mat after dealing with Rock and Triple H or forcing high flyers to slow down like Jericho and the Hardys. It's just a rough fight, and I overrated it the first time because of how much it caught me by surprise, but it was a killer eight minutes before Austin gets the flash Stunner to win.
***1/4

Austin drinks beer to end the show.

WWF Smackdown

Match #1: Eddie Guerrero [c] vs. Billy Gunn [WWF Intercontinental Championship]

Apparently, all outside parties are banned from ringside. This is four minutes and was really good in spite of the shitty outsome, as Eddie is back in form in a big way. Gunn decides to kick out of a fucking DDT on the belt, and then the Frog Splash. Fuck Billy Gunn. After 4 minutes of finisher kickouts and great bumping by Eddie, Billy Gunn hits the Sleeper Slam to win the IC Title. Fuck this company. He loses it in like two weeks, but still, man.
**1/4

In the back, Mick & Debra are hosting a Thanksgiving feast for everyone.

In the back, Eddie throws stuff and is upset.

William Regal comes down, and he gets on the mic. He says that being an ambassador of goodwill, he's here to tell you that it represents everything wrong with this country. Firstly, it started when several pilgrims, KICKED OUT OF ENGLAND BY THE WAY, broke bred with Native fellows, slaughtered turkeys, and had a merry old time. This is why they give thanks and foolishly think the world is peaceful and harmonious for a day, and that is bloody rubbish. He says all it means now is overweight disgusting dysfunctional families sitting on their bums watching cartoon balloons parade, and asks what a Rugrat is, and The Rock comes out. The Rock calls him a punk-ass bitch, and challenges him to a match tonight. Regal feels besmirched, and accepts.

In the back, Mick Foley is upset that Al Snow showed up for Thanksgiving.

Match #2: T & A vs. The Hollys [Hardcore Match]
Short and not a ton going on here. Way too much Bobcore and not enough of Crash. Test killed Crash with DAT BIG BOOT at the end to win.
*3/4

In the back, Too Cool joins the thanksgiving feast and they dance.

Val Venis & Steven Richards of the RTC come out for the match, and tell people to turn the channel, and instead of getting rowdy, people should be getting morality. FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.

Match #3: Val Venis vs. K-Kwik
Steven and Road Dogg are both at ringside. Parts of this were really good, like Val on offense and Truth's run of flippy stuff at the beginning. Goodfather and Bull ran down to attack Road Dogg, and Steven used it to sneak in and DDT Ron Killings so Val covered to win.
**1/4

In the back, the feast continues without a ton happening.

Kurt Angle comes out in a neck brace, and says unlike The Undertaker, he loves his brother and would never set Eric's face on fire or kill their parents or try to light him on fire again or steal his mask. He says The Undertaker walks around like a hero for what he did, and he can call himself an American Bad Ass, because yours truly is a REAL Americna Hero. He says if The Undertaker doubts this, he has a question for him. WHERE ARE YOUR GOLD MEDALS? The Undertaker comes out, and Kurt is upset now. Taker attacks Kurt, and Edge and Christian attack from behind. Taker fights off all three, and they bail out.

Match #4: The Rock vs. William Regal
Rikishi watches from the stage. This is good, but failed to meet the high high expectations I had in my head for the Rock and William Regal, even if I didn't remember this at all the first time. It's still really good, but it's only like 5-6 minutes and kind of a b-show effort in regards to a finish. Rock comes back with ease, and wins with his horrible Sharpshooter.
**1/2

Rock stares down Rikishi, who leaves. He then gives Regal the Rock Bottom, just because.

In the back, Mideon brings soup to the party.

Match #5: Raven vs. Tazz
This happened. They did some reversals, and Raven got the Evenflow to win.
**

In the back, The Dudleyz bring chicken dumplings from Dudleyville, and Mick asks them to not put Funaki through a table because Debra would be mad.

In the back, Coach interviews Chris Benoit and he says that Austin got lucky on Raw, and tonight he will show Austin that it's his night. PROVE ME WRONG.

Match #6: Molly Holly vs. Trish Stratus
They actually both tried really hard and this wasn't horrible. Not good due to Trish still being very inexperienced, but could have been way worse. Molly debuted the Molly Go Round to win.
*1/4

In the back, Debra comes in holding pie and Funaki loudly says that he wants her pie. Singh & Lo Down arrive and protest not being invited and he throws a pie backwards. It has hit Blackman who kills them all. Tiger eats a 3D through a table, and Bubba calls for a food fight.

Match #7: Steve Austin/Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit/Kane
This has a minute of Benoit vs. Jericho being awesome...and then it cuts out since the file is STILL only 1:20 like the first time I reviewed this. WWE recently broke this episode up into parts and uploaded all the matches on Youtube, but since Benoit's in this, they didn't put the main event up. This was probably great, but it's now lost to time forever.

The internet says it went to a no contest when Austin went nuts and gave everyone Stunners.

Kurt Angle comes out and gets on the mic. He says when the people are here out at work milking cows or growing corn or whatever they do, they're not in danger of being attacked just because someone can. Because that's what it means right now to be a WWF Superstar, as people get attacked without remorse or punishment, and nobody has any control. Between The Undertaker's attacks on him, Triple H masterminding a hit and run attack, Stone Cold trying to kill Triple H at Survivor Series, and says it's out of control. It's true, it's true. He says this should be a national scandal, and he's had it. He's tried to preach the Three I's, but the more time he spends here, the more he sees his integrity in jeopardy, and the more people see him as a "sports entertainer", but he's a wrestler. That's what he won a medal for, and why he's the WWF Champion. He did nto sign up to get thrown off of a stage or to see his brother attacked or to witness a hit and run or a forklift attack or God knows what else. He says if this doesn't end, he's taking his title and he's going home. Commissioner Foley and Debra come out, and Mick says things ARE out of hand, but Kurt can't talk about integrity when Stephanie interferes in almost all his matches. He says she's been gone for a month now, he's still a champion, and he doesn't really need her that bad. Foley says Triple H & Stephanie have run into travel difficulties, and there's a Rock vs. Rikishi #1 Contender's match tonight. Also, Kurt will defend the WWF Title as well! AND THAT IS FINAL.

In the back, Kurt and E & C talk. They say Foley will obviously make him fight The Undertaker in a rematch, and Kurt says not if he can help it.

Match #1: T & A/Trish Stratus vs. The Hollys/Molly Holly
Hardcore Holly was the worst person in this match. That's less of a compliment to Trish's improvement as it is a statement of how much Hardcore Holly sucks, but whatever, it's still good for her. Albert vs. Crash was again a very fun pairing. and Hardcore pins Albert with a fucking dropkick. I hate Bobcore so much.
**

In the back, Kurt talks shit to Kane about how Undertaker doesn't love him and didn't invite him over for Thanksgiving, trying to get him to attack Taker. He said he didn't need an excuse, and walks off.

In the back, Kane charges Taker and beats the shit out of him.

Match #2: Billy Gunn [c] vs. Eddie Guerrero [WWF Intercontinental Championship]
This was better than SD, since they at least worked with some kind of a structure and had about a minute and a half longer, so Eddie got to do actual offense instead of just saving the match with bumps. Eddie bumps big, Gunn is terrible, etc. The Radicalz run down, but Gunn throws Eddie into Dean and he hits his stupid little Sleeper Slam to retain.
**1/2

Gunn is beaten down in a 4 on 1, and Benoit hits the Diving Headbutt.

TONIGHT: THE UNDERTAKER VS. KANE!

Kurt Angle comes down to do commentary.

Match #3: The Rock vs. Rikishi [#1 Contender's Match]
They have an awesome little three minute match of all offense until Kurt runs in and hits Rock with the Angle Slam for the DQ.
**

Post-match, Rikishi hits The Rock with the Bonzai Drop.

In the back, Dean tries to hit on Lita, but she turns him down. Benoit then knocks her into the wall by opening the door, and they walk off. The Hardyz show up, so The Radicalz beat the shit out of them in a 4 on 2.

Match #4: The Undertaker vs. Kane
Good brawl with some great punches on Taker's end for four minutes, but that's about all there was to this. Edge and Christian ran in and attacked The Undertaker for the DQ.
**1/4

Kurt also runs down and a 4 on 1 lays out The Undertaker.

In the back, Commissioner Foley is waiting for Kurt in his locker room. He says he didn't see a lot of integrity going on tonight, between attacking The Undertaker, The Rock, AND Rikishi and Kurt says he's keeping this title, no matter what. Foley says he's still defending the title tonight, and his opponent might not deserve it due to being out of control, but he's of the mind right now to let him loose on his other biggest problem right now, so as of right now, his challenger is Steve Austin!

Apparently, there's also a six man made with Radicalz vs. Hardyz/a mystery partner

Match #5: Road Dogg/K-Kwik vs. Val Venis/Steven Richards w/ Ivory
Not awful, but nothing special. They got 5 minutes to play with, which was a nice thing. Young Truth continues to be a strangely great hot tag, but not much else, since he's basically all offense. He hits Steven with a sit-out gourdbuster to win.
**1/4

In the parking lot, Foley is getting fresh air, and Lo Down and Tiger go up and demand a match. Foley is mad, but he says he knows they want title shots, so he books Blackman vs. Tiger Ali Singh for the Hardcore Title and bans Lo Down from the building.

The Hardy Boyz come out, and they bring their old standby partner, Chris Jericho!

Match #6: The Hardy Boyz/Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit/Dean Malenko/Perry Saturn w/ Terri
For all the time management issues, as long as a Benoit/Jericho/Hardys combo gets 5 minutes, I'm going to love it. They fucking destroy Jeff and his knee, and his selling is real sympathetic and actually GOOD which is surprising given post-2001 Jeff's selling even when he ruled again in 07-09, and Jericho's hot tag is wonderful. The Hardyz hit big dives (with Jeff selling his leg while climbing and after), and Jericho gets the Walls of Jericho on Dean to win.
***

Eddie runs down for a 4 on 3. Benoit holds Jericho in the Crossface, and Saturn and Dean stretch Jeff out, and Eddie hits the Frog Splash. FUCK YEAH RADICALZ!

Match #7: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Tiger Ali Singh [WWF Hardcore Championship]
Tiger was publicly murdered with a kendo stick, so that was cool.
*1/2

In the back, Edge & Christian tell Angle that Foley banned them from ringside, but they have a carton of milk with his name on it when he gets back. They walk, and The Rock attacks all three of them. It turns into a 3 on 1, but The Dudleyz run over to help. Officials and Foley come and break it up, and Foley orders Rock out of here.

Match #8: Kurt Angle [c] vs. Steve Austin [WWF Championship]
This was great, as they got about 10 minutes and have immediate chemistry. Like Benoit last week, Kurt tried to look down on Austin's technical skills, so he schooled Angle on the mat and then beat him up. Angle went back to holds to take over again, to prove a point. Austin's comebck and the finishing run rules. Austin hits the Stunner as Stephanie walks down, and H attacks from behind for the DQ.
***1/4

Angle leaves with the belt, and Triple H beats the shit out of Austin. He hits a Neckbreaker on a steel chair and poses to end the show.

WWF Smackdown
November 30th, 2000
Minneapolis, IN

Earlier today, Foley had separate talks with The Rock, Taker, H, Rikishi, & Austin and promised a WWF Title shot to each of them.

Match #1: The Hardy Boyz/Lita vs. Eddie Guerrero/Dean Malenko/Perry Saturn w/ Terri
This hardly seems fair. Except it was pretty awesome, and Lita just did high flying to stay alive. The Hardys continue to master these five minute sprints like practically nobody else on the roster, and did this awesome spot where Saturn caught Jeff in mid-air on a Railrunner Plancha, and then turned into a Tope Suicida from Matt knocking all three down. Lita hit Dean with the Moonsault in the ring, and Eddie then hit her with the Frog Splash, and pulled Dean on top to win.
***

Post-match, Dean looks concerned with Lita.

Commissioner Foley comes out and gets on the mic. He calls out The Rock, The Undertaker, Steve Austin, Triple H, and Rikishi, and they come out with faces in the ring and heels on the stage. He says they all have a right to a title match or rematch, and they've all been screwed either by one another or Kurt Angle, so he's making a SIX MAN HELL IN THE CELL MATCH at Armageddon for the WWF Title, and if any of them attack each other outside of a match tonight, they're out of match. This came off like THE biggest deal ever to me as a ten year old, like there was absolutely no way Kurt couldn't lose the title. Kurt comes out and says this is unfair, and Foley says if he does anymore attacks, he's stripped of the title! H gets on the mic, and brings Stephanie out. H says it's their anniversary (of him drugging and date-raping/marrying her), so they areout of here.

In the back, H and Stephanie have a special dinner, and H tells security that he's expecting a special surprise guest.

Match #2: The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan [c] w/ RTC vs. Road Dogg/K-Kwik [WWF Tag Team Championship]
This happened. Steven got ejected but they still had Ivory and Val to run interference, and R-Truth had another fun hot tag segment. He hit Bull with the 450 Splash, but Ivory hit him with the women's title belt behind the ref's back and Bull covered to win.
*3/4

In the back, Kurt tries to get Foley to cancel HIAC, but Foley yells at him that he did this to himself, he's had enough of it, and refuses because that is FINAL.

Match #3: William Regal [c] vs. Scotty 2 Hotty [WWF European Championship]
They did stuff and the Regal Cutter won.
**

In the back, Benoit offers to kick Austin's ass as a anniversary present to his new friend Triple H. He tells Benoit to focus on killing Chris Jericho & Billy Gunn, and in time, Austin will come to them. This loses points for Benoit not believing him and Triple H saying that he has foreseen it. Although H and Benoit as Palpatine and Vader seems weirdly fitting.

Match #4: Chris Jericho/Billy Gunn vs. Chris Benoit/Kane
This was decent Jericho and Benoit bumped big for their shitty opponents and made this not entirely useless, although not actively great or anything. Gunn tapped to the Crossface because he's a total bitch and will be bitched out on the way to dropping a title he never should have had.
**1/4

In the back, Kurt tries to get Stephanie back in his corner for Armageddon, but she says she needs to watch over Triple H and his injuries. He says he understands, and hugs her. Triple H walks out of the bathroom, and sees Kurt step back. Kurt congratulates them on the anniversary and leaves, and H is pissed again.

In the back, Lo Down and Singh try to get Debra to get Foley and Tiger calls her a good little obedient woman but says they need to talk to a man. In response, she books them vs. Dudleyz & Blackman in a Table Match.

In the back, Austin gets interviewed by Coach on Armageddon and says if the title is on the line inside Hell, then Hell is where he wants to be. Coach says Triple H is almost inviting him to the anniversary party to attack him and lose out on Hell in a Cell, and Austin says nobody tells him what to do. Austin leaves and Cole asks if that means Foley or Triple H.

In the back, H and Stephanie watch the TV, and H says Austin will be joining them soon.

In the back, Trish & Test come to wish Triple H & Stephanie a happy anniversary. Stephanie still hates Trish and says to leave, and Test says he really dodged a bullet last year in retrospect. Trish implies that she'd also fuck H, and they leave. H is like "fuck yeah", and Steph slaps him on the arm. Wonder who wrote this!

Match #5: The Dudley Boyz/Steve Blackman vs. Lo Down/Tiger Ali Singh [Table Match]
Lo Down is now in turbans and have been ruined. This happened as well, since D'Lo isn't trying anymore for obvious reasons, and it was mostly a squash until the end. The Dudz got distracted by Tiger on the floor, and Lo Down put Blackman through a table to win. Wait, what? Does this lead to Blackman/D'Lo?
**

In the back, Rikishi comes into Triple H's locker room, and they agree to kick some ass at Armageddon before it gets down to every man for himself and just the two of them.

In the back, Edge and Christian tell Kurt they're also getting sick of Commissioner Foley too, and Christian asks where their title shots are, and will help him take out Undertaker & Rock in the ring tonight.

In the back, Raven is pissed at Hardcore Holly for throwing his bags off the bench in the locker room. Holly says he's more hardcore than Raven (lol), and challenges him to a match.

In the back, a bald dude in a camo hat comes into H's room with a cake. H raises a bottle to get him, but it's not Austin. Just some jackass, so H kicks him out.

Match #6: Raven vs. Hardcore Holly [Hardcore Match]
They begin on the stage and fight in the back and out to the streets. More entertaining than good. Holly randomly attacks the Posse, Essa Rios, and Just Joe in the back. On the street, they use parked cars and a car with someone about to drive of as a weapon. Holly KO's Raven with a stop sign to win. God damnit.
**

Match #7: The Rock/The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle/Edge & Christian

This was as great as you'd expect. Epic bumping by Christian and Rock and Angle here, and Rock was a solid FIP. I love how the WWF separates teams a lot of the times, as you see when E&C face non-tag division guys, it's usually Rock, Taker, or Kane. When the Hardys do, it's usually the Radicalz in some form. E&C don't often do as well with it since they're just now developing actual offense for control segments and not just stomps and shit. Weirdly, they manage to be overrated as an in-ring team, and underrated for entertainment value. Taker has a killer hot tag and a ton of great false finishes at the end. They played up the handicap thing perfectly to help Team ECK look like they might have this, and Taker pinned Kurt after the Last Ride.
***

In the back, H turns out the lights and waits for someone to walk in. The door opens and Triple H tackles the person and beats the shit out of them. Either that or he violently rapes them, because the lights are out, and I can't tell. The door opens again, and this time it's Austin. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, JACKASS~! The lights come on and Triple H just beat the shit out of Vince McMahon, and Austin leaves.

WWF REBELLION 2000
DECEMBER 2ND, 2000
SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND

Commissioner Foley comes out to open the show with Debra and says it's great to be RIGHT HERE IN SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND! YEAH! He says Triple H will NOT be here tonight, as he refused to make the flight over if he wasn't in the main event, and as a way to make that up to them, the previously scheduled main event of Angle vs. Rock vs. Austin vs. Rikishi for the WWF Title is now a No Disqualification Match! Kurt Angle comes out and says that's not fair, and Foley says the decision is FINAL.

TONIGHT: BENOIT/TAKER! HOLY SHIT REALLY?! JERICHO/KANE!

Match #1: The Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus [Elimination Table Match]
Solid house show affair. Albert ruled as usual and managed to hit a Bicycle Kick through a table that both Dudleys were holding up, and Dudleys vs. Edge & Christian was incredibly entertaining once again. Things break down, and Edge and Christian grab Albert on the ropes and hit a double Powerbomb through a table to eliminate him! More stuff happens, and predictably, Christian gets put through a table with the 3D and the Dudleys win.
**1/2

Before the next match, Steven Richards gets on the mic. He says the RTC has accomplished so much in the United States that they've decided to expand their reach tonight at Rebellion. He says this is the place where they filmed The Full Monty, and the cheering for that is why they are here. Steven says nudity of any nature is wrong and having a pub on every street corner is wrong and having a monarchy that lets it happen is not only wrong, but it is unacceptable.

Match #2: Ivory [c] w/ Steven Richards vs. Lita [WWF Women's Championship]
This is fairly short once again. Lita tries a sunset flip, but Ivory grabs Steven's hands on the floor to sit down on it to win.
*

In the back, Cole interviews The Rock. FINALLY THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO SHEFFIELD. He says tonight's the night of the fatal four way match for the WWF Title and quite frankly speaking, tonight's the night that Kurt Angle loses the WWF Title. He says he's an equal opportunist and Kurt can have the front of The Rock's hand or the back, so The Rock can layeth the smacketh down all over his candy bum. And seeing as they're right in the holiday season, The Rock has a special gift for him, the gift of whooping that candy ass all over Sheffield. If you smellllllllllalalalau what The Rock is cooking.

Match #3: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Perry Saturn [WWF Hardcore Championship]
Fun stuff. They used chairs and kendo sticks and trash cans and Blackman yet again does his thing and just plugs in some of Saturn's cool offense to his formula. Saturn gets a chair, but Blackman recovers and hits a Bicycle Kick to send the chair in his face for the win.
**3/4

In the back, Cole interviews William Regal about being home. He says it's been a pleasure to come back here and have his family and friends here and to come back a champion. He says every week in the WWF, he's gone out and achieved something, including the European Title. He says it's great to represent Great Britain, because they don't have any real sports heroes in England. He says he's proud to represent them all with pride and he will tell the Americans how to eat correctly, have proper manners, and he'll do his best not to remind people here about their terrible hygiene, dental maintenance, and how most of them are on the dole. It's very sad, but he won't rub that in tonight. Regal is GOD.

Match #4: William Regal [c] vs. Crash Holly w/ Molly Holly [WWF European Championship]
This only got five minutes, but was fantastic. Crash takes a beating, and Regal is Regal. He throws some nasty European Uppercuts and knees and even straight forearms. Even does a quasi Backdrop Driver due to Crash's nasty bump off of it. Regal pulls Crash off the top and has the cover, but Crash's foot is on the rope. Molly shows the ref, so he restarts it. Regal doesn't know until he sees Molly and he shoves her as the ref tells the announcer, AND MOLLY HITS A MISSILE DROPKICK ON REGAL! CRASH COVERS AND THEY STEAL THE TITLE! FUCK YEAH!
**

Post-match, Regal lays them both out, and steals his title back.

In the back, Kurt Angle asks Chris Benoit for help tonight, and says he should be in the match tonight to make it a five way, and they both got screwed. He says Chris should lend him some support tonight, because if he does, then Mick Foley can't deny Chris Benoit a title shot again. In some accidental groundwork laying, Chris Benoit doesn't buy into Angle's bullshit for a second, and says nothing until Kurt leaves.

Match #5: Eddie Guerrero/Dean Malenko vs. Billy Gunn/Chyna
Eddie and Dean tried their best, but even worse than regular Gunn and Chyna is House Show Billy Gunn and Chyna, seemingly trying incredibly hard to not try at all. As little sense as that makes, they put in such little effort that it has to be intentional. Anyways, Gunn throws Dean into Eddie and hits THE ONE AND ONLY on Malenko to win, because life is bullshit.
*3/4

A hype video airs for Kane/Jericho.

Match #6: Chris Jericho vs. Kane
This is basically a dumbed down house show version of their Survivor Series match, which means that while that was great, this is only good since Kane isn't trying tonight. Jericho has a solid comeback, but Kane gets his knees up to block the Walls of Jericho, and hits the Chokeslam to win. Even the finish was a lazier version of the one at Survivor Series.
**1/2

After the match, Jericho grabs a chair and beats the shit out of Kane with it on the ramp and stage. He puts on the Walls of Jericho until agents and referees pull him off.

Match #7: The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan [c] w/ Val Venis vs. The Hardy Boyz [WWF Tag Team Championship]
HOUSE SHOW MODE. I review the UK PPVs because occasionally you get gems like Rock/H in a cage, Benoit/Angle and Jericho/Regal and Austin/Rock from 2001, etc., but it can get real frustrating at times due to how little effort like 90% of the roster will put in. The Hardys took some bigish bumps to keep this from being HORRIBLE, but it wasn't great at all. The Goodfather eats the Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb, but Bull distracts the ref. Val hits the Money Shot to Jeff, and rolls Goodfather on top for the win.
**

Some asshole in the front row has an EC F'N W sign. It's over, guy.

In the back, Kurt finds Edge and Christian, and Christian is selling his ribs from the 3D. He asks for their support tonight and Christian says he's hurt. Kurt asks when they got so selfish and says he'd help them if he went through a table.

In the back, The Undertaker WALKS~, but Benoit walks up to him. He asks if he's ready, and Taker says he's ready to kick his ass, BUT THE OTHER THREE RADICALZ ATTACK! BENOIT HITS TAKER'S KNEE WITH A TRASH CAN AND THEY ALL STOMP ON IT. Referees make them leave, and Taker struggles to get up.

Chris Benoit comes out for the match, and The Undertaker fails to come out the first time his music plays. He fails to come out a second time, so Benoit gets on the mic and says he should win this match by forfeit, and says he thought the American Bad Ass was a little tougher than that. His music plays again, and now Taker comes out!

Match #8: Chris Benoit vs. The Undertaker
This is the only one on one match of any real length (12 minutes) that these two ever got, so it's worth seeing for that reason. Due to that angle, it's entirely about Taker's knee and not the big epic that it could have been at a point in 2002-7 when both men were at their peaks. Still, Benoit can destroy a body part with the best of them, and Taker sells really well. The leg kept Taker from pulling off his big finishers, but in something I had to see to believe, Taker blocks a Figure Four with a cradle to win.
***

Match #9: Kurt Angle [c] vs. The Rock vs. Steve Austin vs. Rikishi [WWF Championship - No Disqualification Match]

This is only eight or nine minutes, but works well as a TV main event style Attitude brawl. Rock/Angle and Austin/Angle were both pretty awesome, and they did a good job keeping Rock and Austin apart for the most part without it being too obvious that they were saving that pairing for a show that matters. Rock hits Rikishi with the Rock Bottom, but Edge and Christian come out to pull him away! Austin hits Rikishi with the Stunner, but Saturn and Eddie come out to pull him out, and both faces fight the heels on the floor. Angle then hits Rikishi with the Angle Slam to win.
**3/4

Dean and Benoit also come out, and it becomes Austin and Rock vs. The Radicalz, until they can run them out of the ring. Austin and Rock drink to end the show.
