WWF World Champion: Kurt Angle, Since 10/22/2000 WWF Intercontinental Champion: Billy Gunn, Since 11/23/2000 WWF Tag Team Champions: The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan, Since 11/6/2000 WWF European Champion: Crash Holly, Since 12/2/2000 WWF Hardcore Champion: Steve Blackman, Since 8/27/2000 - LONGEST REIGNING REAL CHAMPION WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Dean Malenko, Since 4/27/2000 WWF Women's Champion: Ivory, Since 11/2/2000 WWF Raw is War December 4th, 2000 East Rutherford, NJ Match #1: The Undertaker vs. Rikishi Very entertaining 5 minute big man match, with some awesome Rikishi bumping for most of it. Also, Taker learns that even he cannot headbutt a Samoan. Angle comes out to ringside and The Undertaker repeatedly attacks him when he gets close. He knocks Kurt off the apron, but turns into a Superkick. Taker kicks out of a Legdrop, but another Superkick and the Bonzai Drop wins for Rikishi. YEAH! **3/4 Post-match, Kurt beats down on Taker now that he's weak, and hits the Angle Slam. TONIGHT: THE STATE OF THE WWF ADDRESS FROM VINCE MCMAHON! In the back, Debra says Mick is stuck in traffic and should be here shortly. Before the next match, the referee ejects Val, Steven, and Ivory from ringside. Match #2: The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan [c] vs. The Hardy Boyz w/ Lita [WWF Tag Team Championship] Well, it should be common knowledge now that the Hardyz are the clear best team in the WWF if not the world and the kings of these five minute TV springs, so they make this worthwhile with big moves and bumping. The Dudley Boyz come down in white shirts and black ties to distract the ref, and Bull hits Jeff with the Scissors Kick behind the ref's back, and Goodfather covers to win. The Dudleyz leave on their own, and RTC is pleased. **1/2 In the back, Road Dogg & Truth tell Debra they deserve a rematch after Smackdown, and she agrees. Edge & Christian come over, and they say they haven't had one title shot at the Right to Censor, and ask how these reekazoids get continuous title shots. Dogg challenges them to a tag match, and Christian asks why they dress like they're seven. Debra books a match between them and says it has title implications. In the back, Dean Malenko gives Lita flowers and says she should get to know him, and he's not a bad guy. She thinks about it and slaps him with the flowers. The Hardyz throw him out of the locker room and slam the door. That was very rude. In the back, Triple H and Rikishi talk and Triple H proposes an alliance for HIAC. Rikishi is on board, but unfortunately did not respond with "absolutely, I do" or pull out a variety of stakes to kill bats. Animals don't have feelings. Chris Benoit comes out and talks shit about Billy Gunn going into their IC Title match at Guitarmageddon, and he says he wouldn't know a wristlock from a wrist watch, and he's going to embarrass him. Hardcore Holly comes out and says his definition of "The One" is Benoit lying on the mat knocked out after he's done beating up the best technical moron on the WWF. That doesn't even make sense, Bobcore. Shut the fuck up. Match #3: Chris Benoit vs. Hardcore Holly Benoit immediately punches Holly in the face for being a stupid faggot. They work this off of Benoit being loopy from Holly's LOADED FOREARM due to surgery, but unfortunately it stops there and he doesn't go insane and think he's Lex Luger. Benoit then gets the Crossface out of nowhere to win. ** In the parking lot, Vince McMahon arrives. Back from break, Mick Foley arrives. BAH GAWD. I'm glad they eventually stopped with the camera shots on the parking lot, it's getting to be a little mich. In the back, Triple H explains himself to Vince and says Vince should know how Austin can get in someone's head, and he's sorry. Vince reminds Triple H of how last year's Armageddon went and he leaves. Let's bring up how an old man beat the shit out of the WWF's top heel for 30 minutes before only losing because his daughter turned on him. God damnit. In the back, The Rock cuts a legendary promo just SHITTING all over everyone in the Cell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49svbAjwbDw In the back, Foley books Kurt Angle to defend his title against Chris Jericho tonight as punishment for interfering, and said he warned him, and now he has to pay, AND THAT IS. FINAL. In the back, Dean offers Lita a Light Heavyweight title shot tonight, but if she loses, she has to go on a date with him on Smackdown, and she accepts. Edge and Christian come out and have a rap of their own: "We're Edge & Christian, and we're total bliss that's cause we reek of awesomeness Now we're the E to the C, and you're in liggity luck Gonna beat Dogg & Krush, cause they totally suck Now even though we're in Jersey, a state with skanky ho's We'll still break it down for a FIVE SECOND POSE!" Match #4: Edge & Christian vs. Road Dogg/K-Kwik This was good, but cut short as it was getting going so it only got three or four minutes of great stuff. Edge hit Dogg behind the ref's back with the Edge o Matic, and Christian covered to win. ** In the back, Kurt tries to convince Triple H & Rikishi to let him in on their alliance and says he's a real trustworthy guy. Triple H rolls his eyes obviously, and Kurt says their alliance should start tonight in his title match, and they say they'll think about it. In the back, Vince tells Austin that he doesn't like him personally or give a damn about most of them, but he has six different investments going into the most dangerous match in the world, and he doesn't like this. He wants to protect his investments, and tells him to reconsider this match. He says this is his first HIAC match, but it could be Austin's last one too, and says to think about the future. Kurt Angle comes out and says New Jersey isn't known for winners, but he needs at least a few minutes of preparation to defend his WWF Title. They flash to a sign that says "KIRT, STOP WHINING", and JR adds in, "Or good spellers." Jericho comes out for the match and cuts Angle off. Match #5: Kurt Angle [c] vs. Chris Jericho [WWF Championship] They do their thing for six or seven minutes and it rules. These two are also becoming masters of the five minute sprint, as the just go completely nuts. Another ref comes out when Jericho has the Walls on, but Kane comes and pulls him out. Jericho knocks Kane off the apron into referee #2, but Kurt gets a low blow and the Angle Slam. Earl crawls over and counts the win or Angle. *** Post-match, Kane hits Jericho with a Chokeslam, because they remembered this feud again. In the back, Kurt yells at Triple H and Rikishi for not helping him. Triple H says Stephanie was right and Kurt was right a few weeks ago when they both said that Kurt doesn't need help, but the alliance is a good idea. Match #6: Billy Gunn [c] vs. Val Venis [WWF Intercontinental Championship] Chyna and Ivory are at ringside. This wasn't entirely worthless, largely because Val decided to try. Gunn is still horrible though, so I have trouble seeing this as good at all. Val used Ivory's title belt on Gunn, but Chyna ran in and attacked him to save Billy's title. *3/4 Chyna attacks Ivory now, and Val attacks her from behind. They take out Chyna, and then Val stomps on Gunn more. In the back, Vince goes to The Rock to try and talk next. He says he might be the most intelligent of the WWF Superstars and says he has more to lose than anyone else in this match. He has his entire career in front of him, and he has the ability to tell Mick Foley to go to Hell, because Mick will forgive him. The Rock says he appreciates the concern, and says thank you. Vince thinks that's a good outcome, and leaves. Match #7: Dean Malenko [c] vs. Lita [WWF Light Heavyweight Championship] This wasn't bad, largely due to Dean making Lita look AMAZING for three minutes before he killed her with a Powerbomb and the Cloverleaf to win. **1/4 In the back, Vince tries to get The Undertaker to get out of Hell in a Cell, but before he can say much, Taker spits chew on Vince's jacket. Match #8: Crash Holly [c] w/ Molly Holly vs. William Regal [WWF European Championship] They do stuff and it's only like two minutes. Regal gets really really brutal with Crash, again showing off those sweet ass European Uppercuts and forearms. Regal regains with the Regal Stretch. ** He keeps beating on Crash, and Molly is involved, so Regal puts her in the Stretch too. Bobcore comes out to ruin everything like always/to save. In the back, Foley books Regal vs. Bobcore for the Euro Title, and Jericho vs. Kane in a Last Man Standing match for Armageddon. Vince McMahon comes out and says he's supposed to address the state of the WWF, and while business is booming, the state of WWF under Foley SUCKS, and this is out of control. Commissioner Foley comes out and lists all the horrible things Vince did and says he's the one responsible for Patterson vs. Brisco in an Evening Gown Match, so he really doesn't have the right to criticize ANYTHING. Vince blames Commissioner Foley for him being attacked on Smackdown, and Austin comes out. He says he appreciates Vince's concern about his well being, but he has cause to have concern about Vince's well being too, and gives Vince a Stunner, and leaves. Rock comes out and hits Vince with a Rock Bottom and leaves. Taker comes out and hits the Last Ride and leaves. Foley then tells him to kiss his ass and have a nice day! In the back, H, Kurt, and Rikishi attacked all three as they walked through the back, and have laid them all at in the back to end the show. |

WWF World Champion: Kurt Angle, Since 10/22/2000 WWF Intercontinental Champion: Billy Gunn, Since 11/23/2000 WWF Tag Team Champions: The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan, Since 11/6/2000 WWF European Champion: Crash Holly, Since 12/2/2000 WWF Hardcore Champion: Steve Blackman, Since 8/27/2000 - LONGEST REIGNING REAL CHAMPION WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Dean Malenko, Since 4/27/2000 WWF Women's Champion: Ivory, Since 11/2/2000 WWF Smackdown December 10th, 2000 Madison Square Garden New York, NY In the parking lot, the new alliance of Triple H, Stephanie, Kurt Angle, and Rikishi gets out of a limo and Foley greets them. He snaps and suspends Triple H & Rikishi for the night, and then says Kurt will defend the title tonight in a four way against Rock, Austin, & The Undertaker! Match #1: Billy Gunn/Chyna vs. Val Venis/Ivory I'll just say this sucked and move on. Benoit attacked Gunn on the floor and Ivory hit the other man with the women's title and Val won. 3/4* Post-match, Benoit puts Gunn in the Crossface on the floor and has to be pulled off. LOVE that Gunn's gotten in nothing. In the back, Dean picks up Lita for their date. Matt says if he lays a hand on her, and Lita says it's under control. Jeff says to call them if there's a problem, and Dean says she's in good hands, and she'll never forget tonight. Dean says not to wait up. In the cab, Lita refuses to take Dean's jacket when she's cold, and she yells at him to just get to the restaurant. Steve Austin comes out and he gets on the mic. He says people ask him everywhere he goes if he's ready and he has to say OH HELL YEAH. He says the Rock paints a little different picture than what he had in his mind, so he's gonna remind him not to take this too lightly. Kurt Angle is a milk and cookie loving bastard, but he's the son of a bitch who took the WWF Title from him and he hasn't got it back yet. Rikishi's got a big fat ass, yes, but if he doesn't roll in willing to do WHATEVER it takes to be the WWF Champion, he might as well not even show up. He takes Triple H lightly, but he doesn't have to remind anyone that he's the bastard that put him out for a year, and he's the same son of a bitch that dominated the WWF for the past year (this talking point is curious, as he's been unable to really get his way for the last half-year). If Rock wants to talk about the Bad Ass, a Decade of Destruction sums it up real well, and he's coming to Armageddon wanting to be the WWF Champion once again, and if that's not true, he'll kiss someone's ass in the middle of this ring. He says every Cell match he's seen has been a bloodbath, and says Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley are no longer with us BECAUSE of The Undertaker in that Cell. He says he's willing to suffer, bleed, suffer, and bleed some more, just like everyone else, and he's coming for the WWF Title. AND THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE -- Kurt Angle comes out onto the stage to interrupt, and Austin chucks cans of beer at him until he leaves. BECAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO. Awesome. The audio then fucks up like last time after a static cut on the tape. I found this episode on youtube as well, and it's the same way there. So on the date, The Hardy Boyz attack Dean in a trap set up, and here's the rest of the results: Molly Holly defeated Trish Stratus via disqualification when Trish hit Molly with a trash can lid; due to pre-match stipulations, Molly became the #1 contender to the Women's title Chris Jericho & Hardcore Holly defeated Kane & WWF European Champion William Regal when Regal submitted to a sleeper by Holly The Road Dogg & K-Kwick defeated Edge & Christian when Road Dogg pinned Edge after Edge sustained a spin kick from Kwick WWF World Champion Kurt Angle, Steve Austin, the Rock, and the Undertaker fought to a no contest when Triple H and Rikishi interfered and a brawl ensued involving all six men, with Triple H remaining as the last man standing |

WWF World Champion: Kurt Angle, Since 10/22/2000 WWF Intercontinental Champion: Billy Gunn, Since 11/23/2000 WWF Tag Team Champions: The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan, Since 11/6/2000 WWF European Champion: Crash Holly, Since 12/2/2000 WWF Hardcore Champion: Steve Blackman, Since 8/27/2000 - LONGEST REIGNING REAL CHAMPION WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Dean Malenko, Since 4/27/2000 WWF Women's Champion: Ivory, Since 11/2/2000 ![]() WWF ARMAGEDDON 2000 DECEMBER 10TH, 2000 BIRMINGHAM, AL This PPV is the debut of "THE END IS HERE" as an intro song, which is a landmark thing in my opinion. To open the show, JR and Lawler yell that on Heat, Commissioner Foley was pressed about his booking of the Hell in a Cell match and said if anyone is SERIOUSLY injured inside Hell in a Cell, he would resign as WWF Commissioner! In the parking lot, Vince arrives in the parking lot with the Stooges and says that cell isn't up for long. Match #1: The Hardy Boyz/Lita vs. Eddie Guerrero/Dean Malenko/Perry Saturn w/ Terri [Elimination Match] This was good, but SUPER rushed, since they tried to fit a full elimination match in eight minutes when a normal six person would have accomplished possibly the same thing if done right. There was the usual fun Radicalz/Hardyz interaction, and Eddie was shamefully out first after the Swanton Bomb in like two minutes. Saturn eliminates Jeff with the DVD, and Matt gets rid of Saturn with the Twist of Fate, and the quick eliminations end when Dean rolls up Matt. It ended with Dean vs. Lita which was again entertaining, and he made her tap to the Cloverleaf again to win. **1/2 Post-match, The Hardys run off Malenko. Lita says she knows she can beat him when Cole interviews her. In the back, Kurt Angle is doing squats when Lillian interviews him. Kurt says nothing in his career has prepared him for this, and he deserves better, but he will win. He's not worried about being made famous inside Hell in a Cell, because he's already famous. His career isn't over by a long shot, and after his victory, he's going to take a shower and have a glass of 99% fat-free milk, and get the hell out of Alabama. And that is true. William Regal comes out and says he knows they will cheer his opponent because he is from here, but he cares about them more. He tells the people to try washing their overalls once a week and to stop loving farm animals. Match #2: William Regal [c] vs. Hardcore Holly [WWF European Championship] Better than their other matches, which brings it to just below average, . Holly is still terrible and there's not really much Regal can do with him. The ref tends to Regal, and Raven sneaks in and Evenflows Holly in revenge for Monday on Raw. He leaves and Regal gets the pin to retain. **1/4 On Smackdown, Kurt broke the alliance by attacking Rikishi with the WWF Title. In the back, Rikishi says he's not worried tonight because it's every man for himself and he'll run through everyone. Match #3: Val Venis w/ Ivory vs. Chyna Val was good here, and did his best to make this not terrible for five minutes. Of course, Chyna was there in usual terrible form, which didn't allow this to be anything more than not terrible. Val gets the Fisherman's Suplex to win. ** Apparently on SD, I missed the epic "I WANT A DIVORCE" segment, as it is mentioned in the next segment. In the back, Stephanie tells Vince she's not worried about the divorce right now, as she's seriously concerned for H's safety tonight in Hell in a Cell, and she can't even process the grief for her parents' marriage on top of that. Vince says he'll go see Foley and put a stop to this now. A wonderful Undertaker promo from HeAT airs, with him in the cell talking about horrible shit he did to Shawn and Foley in here and showing clips (ignoring perhaps the most horrible thing ever in a Hell in a Cell until it became a yearly thing and forced Orton/Sheamus and Kane/Taker upon us-- Taker vs. Bossman), and wondering who he'll make famous tonight. Vince McMahon and the stooges come out, with Vince using a cane to walk after Raw, and Vince takes the microphone. He says he meant everything he said on Smackdown, when he said he gave the fans his life, when he said he wanted a divorce, when he said to his wife that she was never good enough for him, and he also meant it when he expressed genuine concern for the six WWF superstars FORCED to compete in this match. He says his sympathies have fallen on deaf ears and his concern has been rebuked and trivialized by Commissioner Foley. He says he's here as Vince McMahon, a concerned humanitarian, and asks the fans to come forward and show their support and send a message to Mick Foley and America. This goes on FOREVER before he turns on the crowd for not supporting him, and says this is on THEIR heads for what happens tonight, because he tried. Match #4: Chris Jericho vs. Kane [Last Man Standing Match] This was horrible. No real drama and because fucking HIAC is the main, they couldn't go all out with blood and brutality and all that shit to make a really great hardcore brawl. Not even sure why they even tried with another brawl on this show. So they did boring shit and horrible spots that nobody bought as the end. Then they battled near the stage and Jericho pushed a bunch of barrels on Kane, but they clearly didn't hit him, and rested on stuff behind him. Jericho stood on the barrels to win. At least this bad feud is over. **1/4 In the back, Coach asks Foley about second thoughts. Foley says he feels responsible for anyone, and that last match wasn't a great omen. Foley says the people WANT this match, so Hell in a Cell will go on and he knows he's right no to cancel it, but he'll be real happy when it's over with. Clips from Taker/Mankind HIAC are shown. Apparently, i also missed the epic angle on SD where the Dudleyz pretend to join the RTC, but come back with "IF PUTTING PEOPLE THROUGH TABLES IS WRONG...THEN I DON'T WANT TO BE RIGHT!" Match #5: The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan [c] w/ Steven Richards vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian vs. Road Dogg/K-Kwik [WWF Tag Team Championship] This happened for a while. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much RTC here, and not nearly enough Dudleys and E&C. Dudleyz and E & C were good here when they got the shot, and E&C won after Stevie DDT's D-Von on the floor, and they hit Bubba with the Unprettier and become 4 time champions. And the Tag Title picture makes sense again. ** In the back, Stephanie talks to Triple H about tonight and says surviving Survivor Series was a miracle, and tonight is too far. Triple H says he NEEDS the WWF Title, and if he's not the best in the world, he sees no point in wrestling. He's clearly a liar, but hey. Match #6: Billy Gunn [c] vs. Chris Benoit [WWF Intercontinental Championship] Billy Gunn is wearing two women's earrings here, continuing his quest to be the most flamboyant gay that ever gayed. Benoit kills his knee, and Gunn of course, no-sells it entirely and proceeds to be awful. Benoit bumps around big for him, desperate to get something out of this match. Gunn continues to be stunningly terrible, and the only solace is that Benoit wins with the Crossface for his 3rd IC Title. Probably his worst PPV match of 2000 though. **1/4 Earlier tonight, JR interviewed Steve Austin, who said Triple H and Rikishi in there is motivation, but he needs to not forget that the WWF Title is on the line, and he needs that title. He needs that more than anything else, and that's all the motivation he really needs. Match #7: Ivory [c] vs. Trish Stratus vs. Molly Holly [WWF Women's Championship] This was actually good for the two minutes that it lasted. Trish continues to improve, and the Trish vs. Molly stuff was all very good. Molly hit a Liger Bomb, but Ivory stole the pin to retain. *3/4 T & A comes down to attack Molly, but Crash saves. He gets in the ring and tells them to bring it, BUT THE MOTHERFUCKING APA IS BACK SHIT YEAH! They clean house and Albert DIES on the Clothesline From Hell. FUCK YEAH ACOLYTES! Match #8: Kurt Angle [c] vs. The Rock vs. Steve Austin vs. Triple H vs. The Undertaker vs. Rikishi [WWF Championship - Hell in a Cell Match] This was 38 minutes, and about 25-30 of that was AWESOME. Great brawling and hate and tons of fire. It's just the chaotic mess that these six locked inside the Cell should be. Vince came out with construction workers and a hay truck, but Foley came out and had Vince taken to the back. However, he already ripped the door off, so it spilled out to the entrance stage with beat up cars, which had cool spots but went on a little too long. They then did a ton of stuff on top of the cell with a few brutal spots, and Rikishi got thrown off into the hay truck by Taker, and blows up his gall bladder. After that, it was all fucking awesome. They built to an outstanding Rock/Austin showdown at the end, and Austin hit Rock with the Stunner. Triple H and Austin took each other out and Angle got a hand on Rock to BARELY retain. Gigantic overbooked mess that just about personifies the Attitude Era imo. I'll take the GREAT majority over the somewhat middling and boring minority at times and give this a good rating. ***1/2 |

WWF World Champion: Kurt Angle, Since 10/22/2000 WWF Intercontinental Champion: Chris Benoit, Since 12/10/2000 WWF Tag Team Champions: Edge & Christian, Since 12/10/2000 WWF European Champion: William Regal, Since 12/4/2000 WWF Hardcore Champion: Steve Blackman, Since 8/27/2000 - LONGEST REIGNING REAL CHAMPION WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Dean Malenko, Since 4/27/2000 WWF Women's Champion: Ivory, Since 11/2/2000 WWF Raw is PAMIS December 11th, 2000 Memphis, TN Kurt Angle, Edge, & Christian come down to open the show. Kurt says at the end of 2000, he's had the greatest rookie year in the history of any sport, having won KOTR, the European, Intercontinental, AND WWF Titles, as well as surviving the most grueling match in WWF history last night and remaining YOUR WWF Champion and Olympic Hero, and The Rock comes out. Rock challenges Kurt to a title match, but he opts out and challenges him to a 6 man with any match Rock wants. They note that Rock has no friends, and The Dudleyz come out! Rock says it will be a table match, and Kurt is mad, but has to accept. They go down to the ring to fight, but the heels bail out. LATER! Also: WILL MICK FOLEY RESIGN?! Match #1: The Hardy Boyz vs. Dean Malenko/Perry Saturn Good 4 minute match as we can expect from a Hardys/Radicalz match. Both women are on the floor. Matt's arm being killed was good and he sold it well, but too short. The Jeff hot tag was great as usual, and yeah. Dean took out Jeff on the floor and Tim White did the world's quickest 10 count for a countout win. I got so used to 5-10 minute Hardyz TV matches that going back to 4 minutes is kind of upsetting. Still, they made it rule. **1/4 Post-match, Lita is taken out on the floor, and Dean kisses her. In the back, Vince arrives and responds to Patterson saying the weather sucks by yelling THIS IS FOOTBALL WEATHER! XFL! FOOTBALL WEATHER! Back from break, Vince says that Triple H has herniated discs in his back and Rikishi has a ruptured spleen, so he's holding Foley to his word, and accepts that letter of resignation in the ring tonight. Match #2: Chris Benoit [c] vs. Billy Gunn [WWF Intercontinental Championship] Eddie comes down to watch, and they have an average match because Gunn is terrible on free TV, I guess. I mean, he's still horrible on PPV, but he at least tries a little bit there. He hits Benoit with the title belt, but Benoit kicks out because FUCK Billy Gunn. He hits the Fameasser, and Eddie interferes for the DQ to stop a miscarriage of justice. ** Post-match, Gunn is put in the Crossface as Eddie talks shit. In the back, Foley refuses to answer questions from Coach about whether he will resign. In the back, Cole interviews The Undertaker , and he says he liked what he did to Rikishi. He said ruptured spleen or not, he did what he always does in the Cell, and he made that fat ass famous. And he gave everybody watching a reminder that that ring is his yard, and he's the big dog that runs it. In the back, Al Snow asks Foley for a hardcore match vs. Raven, and Foley gives it to him against his better judgment since Al has a broken wrist, and Al tells him not to resign. Match #3: The Rock/The Dudley Boyz vs. Kurt Angle/Edge & Christian [Table Match] This was good and got something like eight minutes, but they did the horrible thing where they enforced legal man rules in a tables match without DQs or anything. They being said, they did it well and built up a hot tag awesomely, and the hot tag and finishing run of teased table spots ruled. Edge ate the Rock Bottom through a table to lose. **3/4 Post-match, Christian eats a Superbomb through a table, and Kurt escapes with his title. In the back, Vince asks Brisco to go get the papers, because the sooner he has those, the sooner he can get rid of Foley. Chyna comes out, and she gets on the mic. She calls out Ivory and says she's not interested in the women's title, and just wants to fight her. Ivory and Steven come out to fight, and Val runs down to help. VAL AND IVORY HIT CHYNA WITH THE SPIKE PILEDRIVER AND LEAVE! EMTS TEND TO CHYNA AND STRETCHER HER OUT! YES! YES! YEEEEEEEEEEEEES! SHE'S DONE FIGHTING MEN AND BASICALLY DONE IN THE RING TOO! I WIN! Back from break, that slag is loaded on a stretcher and Billy Gunn yells at Mick that this is all his fault. Match #4: The Acolytes vs. T & A w/ Trish Stratus Not bad, but basically the APA murdering T & A for 2 minutes to end the feud seemingly. Albert got pinned after the Clothesline From Hell. *3/4 In the back, Brisco brings Vince his papers, and it's a resignation form. Vince says Foley will sign this by the end of the night. A wonderful commercial airs for the masterpiece, "Dude, Where's My Car?" Jerry Lawler brings out the Memphis Maniax cheerleaders to dance with him to promote the XFL, and The RTC comes out and talks shit, and then Dogg & K-Kwik come out for the a match that probably will suck. Except wait -- this is Memphis, SO LAWLER WRESTLES! SAVES EVERYTHING! Match #5: Jerry Lawler/Road Dogg/K-Kwik vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan/Steven Richards This is Lawler cleaning house with punches and then THE STRAP COMES DOWN FUCK YEAH. Lawler pins Steven with the Fist Drop in a minute or so. * In the back, Foley is feeling the pressure and tries to cancel Snow/Raven, but Al tells him he's going to be fine, and Foley asks him to not do anything stupid. In the back, Austin says he feels horrible and he's got a million stitches and his face is all cut up and he hurts all over, but he takes pleasure in knowing that Triple H is lying up in a hospital bed in traction and is even worse off than him. Match #6: Raven vs. Al Snow [Hardcore Match] They do some cool backstage fighting and brawl to the street. Lo Down attacks Al for no real reason and Raven breaks a cinder block on Al, knocking him out, and Raven covers to win. **1/4 Back from break, Al is loaded onto a stretcher. By the ambulance, Vince yells that this is all on Foley's head. Vince McMahon comes out and calls out Commissioner Foley. He comes out and Vince gets the resignation papers and says Mick is a man of his word and should go care for his pregnant wife, and this job is beyond him as the last six months have proven. Foley thinks about it and William Regal comes out. He says he speaks for all the wrestlers in saying they HATE Mick Foley. Steve Austin comes out and says he'll speak for himself, and he doesn't think he should resign. Regal and the stooges get Stunners, and Austin tells Foley not to do it. Vince also gets a Stunner, and Foley tears up the resignation letter! YEAH! AWESOME ANGLE'S A WEEK AWAY! |

WWF World Champion: Kurt Angle, Since 10/22/2000 WWF Intercontinental Champion: Chris Benoit, Since 12/10/2000 WWF Tag Team Champions: Edge & Christian, Since 12/10/2000 WWF European Champion: William Regal, Since 12/4/2000 WWF Hardcore Champion: Steve Blackman, Since 8/27/2000 - LONGEST REIGNING REAL CHAMPION WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Dean Malenko, Since 4/27/2000 WWF Women's Champion: Ivory, Since 11/2/2000 WWF Smackdown December 14th, 2000 Little Rock, AR In the back, Stephanie tells Commissioner Foley that Linda hasn't taken the divorce well and is very sick, and asks him to take it easy on Vince, because he takes it out on Linda. Mick says that out of respect for Linda, he'll try, but her dad doesn't make it easy. Match #1: Edge & Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz Solid tag, but clearly not their best and a set up for a future tag match probably. E & C do stuff to D-Von, and then Bubba cleans house with increasingly Dusty-esque babyface stuff. They run through their offense on Christian with the WASSUP Headbutt and hit the 3D, but Edge KO's Bubba with the title belt behind the ref's back and Christian gets rolled on top to win. **1/2 In the parking lot, Foley greets Vince and says he's here as the Commissioner for the long haul and that they should try to coexist. Vince says he'll put it under consideration, but does not sound happy, and quickly walks away. Kurt Angle comes out and he gets on the mic. He says he's survived a lot this week and he'd think that finally he'll have earned a little bit of respect from the people. He says he's in Arkansas, so that's probably not going to happen unless he gains fifty pounds or has his way with some interns. He asks what's wrong with all of them and says that's not going to happen, and speaking of leadership, he's here to address the WWF Commissioner. He calls Foley a hypocrite for not resigning, and Foley comes out. He calls Kurt a whining conniving sniveling crybaby and says Rikishi was injured NOT because of the Cell, but because of Vince bringing a truck down and ripping off the door allowing the Cell to be climbed, and Triple H's injuries have been building up all year, so nobody was injured as a result of Hell in the Cell in and of itself. He says things would be worse with Vince in charge, and William Regal comes down to the ring. He says Foley is biased toward his favorites and asks where Foley was when he was attacked by Austin and The Rock. Kurt agrees, so Foley books them vs. The Rock/Austin tonight since they want some revenge. In the back, Vince is on the phone with divorce lawyers and says to keep sending documents to the mansion, and makes sure Linda can't touch his offshore account. Stephanie comes in to try and talk about Linda, but Vince says he'll not have his night ruined, and politely shoves her out of the office and shuts the door. Match #2: Ivory [c] vs. Lita [WWF Women's Championship] Lita is clearly still hurt from Armageddon and Raw. This is a minute of her being slow to sell it, and Dean Malenko comes down. Lita attacks him on the floor, but he throws her back in and Ivory hits a Back Suplex to win. 1/2* In the back, Foley has summoned Raven. He says he doesn't want to be vindictive, but he put his friend out of action and went over the line on Raw hitting a man with a cinder block, so tonight he has a hardcore match against someone who has never technically been in one. Raven is cool with that until Foley says he's facing The Undertaker. In the back, Stephanie again talks to Vince. She says Linda's lost a lot of weight, and Vince says that's a good thing because she needed to lose weight anyways. She says Linda barely even talked when she saw her. Vince says that's also good. Stephanie says she was just lying in bed motionless, and Vince says that's nothing new. Stephanie calls him disgusting and leaves. Vince is amazing now. Match #3: Billy Gunn vs. Val Venis w/ Ivory This was okay. They again fail to live up to their surprisingly good match in spring 1999. Mostly because Gunn so doesn't give a shit at all, and Val has no heat anymore at all, and he was always a guy that got helped by a hot crowd. Ivory throws the women's title in and Gunn uses it for the DQ, and RTC bails. ** In the back, Stephanie knocks on Vince's door. He comes out and she says he needs to come home and talk to mom. In an epic moment, he sneers and yells "I'M NEVER COMING HOME" like he is 8 years old. She says maybe this will have to be done in public and walks away. BITCH YOU'RE ON TV, THIS IS IN PUBLIC After the break, Stephanie McMahon comes down to the ring, and she says she's not leaving until Vince comes down here. Vince comes out with the stooges and Steph cuts a super long and theoretically emotional promo on how Vince & Linda is the perfect fairtytale marriage and what she measures true love by. Vince responds by saying she doesn't know a lot about her mom, so he'll tell her. Linda was a slut when she was younger and gave it up on the first date. He says Linda only loved his money, and when he looks at Stephanie, he sees the same spoiled ungrateful little bitch that Linda is. HOLY SHIT VINCE IS SO AWFUL/AWESOME. He tells her to get the hell out of his life, and to tell Linda that there's going to be a new Mrs. McMahon who is about Stephanie's age, with a huge rack, and who can keep up with his sexual prowess. This storyline might be my biggest guilty pleasure in wrestling. It's so completely overblown that it goes all the way back around and becomes amazing. Match #4: The Undertaker vs. Raven [Hardcore Match] Total squash, but it ruled. Taker gets ridiculously violent with Raven and pulls absolutely nothing. Really brutal punches, weapon shots without protection, throwing the chairs into the back of Raven's head, etc. Raven bled a ton and ate the Last Ride through the announce table as the finish. ** Match #5: The Hardy Boyz vs. Chris Benoit/Perry Saturn w/ Terri This is only 90 seconds, unfortunately, so they don't top the awesome spotfest from the spring. There's one Jeff bump of being thrown across the ring, under the bottom rope and into the table, but still. This was maybe 90 seconds, and Jeff got a flash pin to beat Benoit in a shocker. I remember this! *3/4 In the back, Foley tells Vince that he's garbage for the way he treated his daughter and that Vince is a horrible awful human being. Foley leaves and Vince gets a creepy smile on his face. Best non-wrestling heel ever. Dean Malenko comes out and says his lips are for Lita alone, and Chris Jericho comes out. He asks Dean to please shut the hell up, and if he wants something to kiss, he may kiss his ass. Match #6: Chris Jericho vs. Dean Malenko Eddie came out to watch and this was like 2 minutes Eddie pushed Jericho off in mid-Lionsault and Dean covered to win. I am disappoint.** Jericho throws Dean out, and he puts Eddie in the Walls until referees pull him off. In the back, Angle apologizes to Regal for the Revolutionary War, but uses it to say that they can get along tonight, unlike Rock and Austin. Kane comes down to the ring with Kurt and Regal for the main event. Match #7: The Rock/Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle/William Regal w/ Kane Good under 10 minute main event. Austin doing a good amount of hold for hold wrestling upon his return is both weird as shit and really awesome. Rock was great as usual, and Regal really stepped up in the spotlight, unlike his not so good performances on the midcard against awful wrestlers. Kane got involved a bit, but Austin and Rock took him out long enough for Regal to eat a Stunner to lose. *** Angle retreats with the title. In the back, Vince gets a phone call from Shane, and he finds out Linda is in the hospital. He hunches over the sink breathing heavily, and he slowly brings his head up looking at the mirror with a legit horrifyingly evil smile on his face, like he's fucking possessed by Satan and shit. Vince McMahon is the best. |

WWF World Champion: Kurt Angle, Since 10/22/2000 WWF Intercontinental Champion: Chris Benoit, Since 12/10/2000 WWF Tag Team Champions: Edge & Christian, Since 12/10/2000 WWF European Champion: William Regal, Since 12/4/2000 WWF Hardcore Champion: Steve Blackman, Since 8/27/2000 - LONGEST REIGNING REAL CHAMPION WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Dean Malenko, Since 4/27/2000 WWF Women's Champion: Ivory, Since 11/2/2000 WWE Raw is War December 18th, 2000 Greenville, SC Vince McMahon comes out to open the show, and says he will make things right both personally and professionally tonight. He blames Mick Foley and Stephanie for the nervous breakdown his soon to be ex-wife suffered on SD, but also says Linda takes most of the blame, and he has TEMPORARILY stopped the divorce proceedings until she is better. Stephanie comes out and says how he treats mom is awful, and she's proud to be more like Linda than Vince and calls him an old bastard. He tells another story ABOUT HOW DIDN'T WANT TO MARRY THAT BITCH, BUT IF HE DIDN'T, SHANE WOULD HAVE BEEN A BASTARD. VINCE I LOVE YOU. Kurt Angle comes out and says children should respect their parents, and Foley comes out. He says Vince is lower than garbage, and Angle sides with Vince. Foley says tonight Kurt will defend the title against a former WWF Champion...VINCE MCMAHON! In the back, Matt hypes up Jeff Hardy for his IC Title match tonight. Match #1: Chris Benoit [c] vs. Jeff Hardy [WWF Intercontinental Championship] So, this was awesome and one of my favorite four minute matches ever, right up there with Owen/Kid. Jeff bumps like a lunatic who will be moving like a broken down old man in a decade. His bumping was great as well, and he murdered Jeff on almost everything. Jeff's comebacks were awesome and hit super clean, and yeah. Great 4 minute match, and Benoit got the Crossface to win. *** In the back, Vince and Kurt talk. Vince tries to convince Kurt that he should win the title. He says this would humiliate Foley more than anything and says to think about it, but Kurt looks at him like he's finally realized Vince is insane, and he leaves quickly. In the back, Kurt finds Edge & Christian and says Foley likes them for all the crazy things he makes them do. Edge says he also likes Pop Tarts and scratching himself, but Kurt says to help him, and asks them to get the match called off. Christian says they could try and give him cotton candy, and Kurt says he owes them one. A recap of RTC killing Chyna airs. In the back, Edge and Christian go to the Commissioner's office-cage, and play Foley's theme on the kazoo. Edge calls them beauty and the beast and says no offense to Debra, and everyone high fives. Christian says he loved his book, and says he saw the main event. Edge says Kurt is really worried, but this isn't a good idea, and Vince is pretty fragile now. Mick says no, and Edge says they're being serious, and Foley says no, but since they're here with the kazoos and sunglasses, he's got a Connect Four game. Christian says they're more than sunglasses and kazoos and Edge says to stop treating them like jokes. He says if they want to be taken seriously, he'll give them a title match tonight, and they say they've beaten everyone. So he then books them vs. Rock & Undertaker and that is FINAL! Match #2: Billy Gunn/The Dudley Boyz vs. Val Venis/The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan w/ RTC Not bad, surprisingly. The crowd heat made it good, and Gunn had an insane amount of energy here, like he had been intentionally awful for the last 2 months and saving for this match. He tried to Piledrive Ivory in revenge for last week when she interfered, but he got hit with the Stevenkick behind the ref's back, and Val pinned Billy with the Fisherman's Suplex. ** In the back, Kurt talks to Vince again and says he's not laying down for him. Vince reminds him who he works for, and Kurt then asks where Vince's gold medals are, and that he's not giving up his WWF Title. Match #3: Edge & Christian [c] vs. The Rock/The Undertaker [WWF Tag Team Championship] This was awesome. Great 9 minute match with Rock being awesome, and the champions bumping around HUGE for Rock and especially Taker. A bunch of really great nearfalls and double hot tag segments, and E&C look a lot more legit than in the first pairing of these teams in September. Rock managed to get the Pinebuster and People's Elbow on Edge to win the titles. WHOA. *** Apparently, Eddie Guerrero was injured by Jericho on Smackdown. Match #4: Chris Jericho vs. Perry Saturn w/ Terri Good for about two and a half minutes, but that's all they got. Jericho won with the Walls of Jericho. ** Terri attacks him, so he tries the Walls on her, but Benoit and Malenko come down and they all beat the shit out of Jericho for injuring Eddie. Malenko puts Jericho in the Texas Cloverleaf, and holds him there for the Diving Headbutt from Benoit and a Flying Elbow from Saturn. Benoit then puts Jericho into the Crossface for a while. In the back, Trish meets Vince and says she likes the way he took charge out there and wishes him luck. In the APA office, they talk to Jackie about tonight's tag and she says she'll kill blondie. Worth noting is that the APA now wear the hilariously awful "APA - ALWAYS POUNDING ASS" t-shirt. Match #5: Steve Austin vs. William Regal They have an awesome 5 minute brawl with a ton of fire from Austin, and a ref bump happens. Regal tries to use his title belt, but Austin hits the Stunner. He grabs the title belt, and the ref gets up to see Austin over Regal with the title belt, and he calls for the DQ. **3/4 Post-match, the ref eats a Stunner and Regal escapes with the belt. In the back, Kurt consoles Edge & Christian and says they need to now think about how he'll keep his title. Edge says if Kurt wasn't always thinking about himself, they might still have the titles, and they storm off. Kurt says there's more to it than this, and walks after them. Match #6: The Acolytes/Jackie vs. T & A/Trish Stratus This was like 90 seconds and had too much women's wrestling that sucked, not enough of APA killing Test with retardedly stiff offense. Jackie won with a DDT on Trish. 3/4* In the back, Kurt asks Foley one last time to call off the match. He says Vince has something up his sleeve tonight OR he has to beat up and humiliate the owner of this company. He mocks Kurt for crying by saying if he had to call off the match, he'd probably break down right here, and says no. Kurt says he won't forget this. In the back, Vince says when Cole asked about the match that he said he would make things right both personally & professionally and that it is the holiday season. Mick Foley comes out to be the guest ring announcer for the main event. Kurt and Vince come down and this isn't a match but a FUCKING AWESOME angle. Vince goes to the floor and gets on the mic. He thanks Mick for booking this match AND HE NAILS FOLEY WITH THE MIC! KURT AND VINCE BEAT ON FOLEY! He comes back and gets the Socko Claw on Vince, but Kurt hits him with a chair! Edge and Christian run down and in a move building for half the year, FOLEY GETS THE CONCHAIRTO! Stephanie runs down with documents and says the Board has found Linda mentally incompetent to be CEO, so Vince has been given full power back. IN HIS FIRST ACT, HE FIRES MICK FOLEY OH FUCK YOU! Mick tries to charge him, but Angle nails him again with the chair. The five leave, and Vince wishes Mick a Merry Christmas. This still feels like the ultimate heel victory. |

WWF World Champion: Kurt Angle, Since 10/22/2000 WWF Intercontinental Champion: Chris Benoit, Since 12/10/2000 WWF Tag Team Champions: The Rock/The Undertaker, Since 12/18/2000 WWF European Champion: William Regal, Since 12/4/2000 WWF Hardcore Champion: Steve Blackman, Since 8/27/2000 - LONGEST REIGNING REAL CHAMPION WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Dean Malenko, Since 4/27/2000 WWF Women's Champion: Ivory, Since 11/2/2000 WWF Smackdown December 21st, 2000 Charlotte, NC Vince & Stephanie come out to the ring to open the show. Vince says what he did is ok because he's Vince McMahon, damnit. Etc. Etc. More endless recapping of stuff that already got a recap video, divorce stuff, etc. SNIFF. YOU KNOW HOW THIS ENDS. TONIGHT: ROCK/TAKER VS. EDGE & CHRISTIAN IN A REMATCH! In the parking lot, Vince bids Stephanie farewell to watch over Triple H while he's injured because taking care of a sick spouse is important to a McMahon. As the limo leaves, Trish comes over and gets Vince to make Ivory vs. Jackie tonight. Vince says they should go where it's warmer and they walk off, arm in arm. Dis angle. Match #1: The Dudley Boyz vs. Lo Down w/ Tiger Ali Singh Not bad, but Tiger's presence seems to be an albatross to Lo Down. They were super aggressive and hungry in the summer and fall when they got chances, but they're resigned to jobbing forever now that Tiger's with them. The Dudleyz won with a 3D on Chaz Hayashi. *3/4 In the back, Vince asks Tim White how he is after the Stunner on Raw. He says he's good, and Vince says that under his watch, the referees will be treated with respect. Match #2: Ivory [c] vs. Jackie [WWF Women's Championship] Not awful, but not good. The RTC came down to distract Jackie so Ivory gets a schoolgirl to win. *1/4 The APA runs down to run off RTC. In the back, Vince finds Debra and asks her to stay on as Lt. Commissioner. She books Billy Gunn vs. Steven Richards, and then Vince agrees to it and says she's already doing a great job. She rolls her eyes once he leaves. In the back, Vince tells Austin that to learn what it's like to be a referee so that he shows them a little more respect in the future, he's going to referee Regal vs. Holly tonight for the European Championship. Before the next match, Jericho congratulates Benoit on finding love, and shows a picture of Benoit & the maid from the Jetsons. Well, we know that's not true because she's still alive. Match #3: Chris Jericho/The Hardy Boyz vs. Chris Benoit/Dean Malenko/Perry Saturn Lita and Terri are on the floor. Good match, but it didn't get to really develop much outside of the four or so minutes it got. It was mostly Radicalz bumping around for high flying. Lita throws Dean into the steps, and in the ring, Jericho hits him with the Lionsault to win. **1/2 In the back, Vince tells Raven that he was impressed with how he fared against Taker and rewards him with a Hardcore Title match tonight. In the back, Austin is given a referee shirt for tonight, and he says it needs customizing and this isn't gonna work. Match #4: William Regal [c] vs. Hardcore Holly [WWF European Championship - Special Referee: Steve Austin] This isn't a match, so much as some moves done while Austin drinks beer, so that was entertaining enough. He hits both men with a Stunner and counts them out. 3/4* Kane comes down and Austin attacks him as soon as he gets into the ring. Regal hits Austin from behind and Kane Chokeslams Austin. In the back, Austin blames Vince for sending Kane. He denies it and says Austin can fight Kane on Raw if he has a score to settle. Kaientai debuts the epic voice dubbing gimmick. INDEED! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVIL. Match #5: TAKA Michinoku/Sho Funaki vs. Crash Holly/Molly Holly This happened for 90 seconds, but 90 seconds of KDX is better than none. Crash beat Funaki with a Tornado Bulldog. *1/2 In the back, Edge and Christian are worried that their rematch tonight won't be fair. Match #6: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Raven [WWF Hardcore Championship] This was amazing and is now Raven's best WWF match so far. The fact that this began with a kendo stick swordfight with Raven using a trash can lid as a shield kind of says it all. Crazy Blackman spots as usual, and Raven bumped great and brought some good hardcore stuff of his own, almost forcing a styles clash between Blackman's weird ass kung fu hardcore and Raven's more traditional brawling spots. They had an awesome finish where Blackman DDT'd Raven off the top onto a standing garbage can to win. This is easily the best Blackman title defense in a while. *** In the back, Kurt tells Vince that Edge & Christian are worried about fairness in the main event with how upset The Rock and The Undertaker always are with them, and Vince says he'll ensure that everything works for the main event. IN THE INTEREST OF FAIRNESS. Match #7: Billy Gunn vs. Steven Richards Hey, this sucked. Basically just a Gunn squash, and he wins with the One and Only. 1/2* Before the main event, Kurt Angle is announced as the special guest referee! IN THE INTEREST OF FAIRNESS. Match #8: The Rock/The Undertaker [c] vs. Edge/Christian [WWF Tag Team Championship - Special Referee: Kurt Angle] Good match, but this was shorter than on Raw and with a less insane crowd to elevate stuff. Kurt was a good ref who didn't get involved hardly at all, except trying to enforce legal man rules. This meant he missed a pin so Rock hit him with the Rock Bottom. Hebner ran down and false finishes happen. Hebner was on the floor and Angle hit Rock with the Angle Slam and pulled Christian on top and counted the pin to regain the belts. **3/4 |

WWF World Champion: Kurt Angle, Since 10/22/2000 WWF Intercontinental Champion: Chris Benoit, Since 12/10/2000 WWF Tag Team Champions: Edge & Christian, Since 12/21/2000 WWF European Champion: William Regal, Since 12/4/2000 WWF Hardcore Champion: Steve Blackman, Since 8/27/2000 - LONGEST REIGNING REAL CHAMPION WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Dean Malenko, Since 4/27/2000 WWF Women's Champion: Ivory, Since 11/2/2000 WWF Raw is Christmas December 25th, 2000 Chatanooga, TN This is another show with atrocious sound quality, but the audio matches up, so it's good. Stephanie comes out to open the show, and she books Rock vs. Undertaker tonight. She says Vince is volunteering at a soup kitchen, and she's in charge of the show. She invites Kurt & Edge & Christian out, and Kurt says as a present to himself, he flew out the entire Angle family! A bunch of people in matching track suits come out to the ring and they all sing Winter Wonderland and it is AMAZING, but Jericho comes out. He asks them to shut the hell up and wants a title match. Angle refuses, so a 6 man is made, and Jericho says his partners will be the Dudley Boyz! In the back, Kurt shows his family around the building. He introduces his good friend, K-Kwik. He's a rap singer. They all say hi, and Kurt leads his family away. In the back, Matt tries to get Lita to not come out while Malenko is there, but she refuses and he's whipped, so he gives in. Match #1: The Hardy Boyz w/ Lita vs. Chris Benoit/Dean Malenko Yet another insanely great five minutr sprint. Jeff had great knee selling here, which was helped by Dean and Chris being super vigilant on the knee. Matt's hot tag and total hate for Dean was awesome here. Lita got Dean with a low blow when he tried to go up top, and Matt hit the Flying Legdrop to win. **1/2 Post-match, Benoit kills Matt in the ring and then Jeff on the floor. Dean puts Matt in the Cloverleaf, and then Benoit puts Lita in the Crossface until referees pull them off. In the back, Lita is being tended to by officials and the Hardyz. Benoit walks over to ask how her neck is, and Matt tackles him, and they have to be pulled apart. In the back, Debra says Commissioner Foley taught her how to be fair, so she books Steve Blackman vs. Raven vs. Hardcore Holly for the Hardcore Title tonight. That's not fair at all. Bobcore is horrible and Raven just lost a title match. In the back, Stephanie has Vince on speaker phone. He claims to be at the soup kitchen, but Trish's voice is heard, and Vince quickly has to go. FUCK YEAH VINCE GET IT IN. Match #2: Steve Blackman [c] vs. Raven vs. Hardcore Holly [WWF Hardcore Championship] They have an alright match through the back and outside. Blackman hits an amazing looking German Suplex to Holly on a car hood to retain, managing to hold the bridge entirely in the air. ** Blackman walks through the back AND RAVEN BREAKS A 2X4 ON HIS HEAD AND COVERS TO WIN THE HARDCORE TITLE! THIS IS THE WORST CHRISTMAS EVER. GOD DAMNIT. I love Raven as much as the next guy who started watching wrestling in the late 90s, but fuck him for ending the best Hardcore Title reign ever. William Regal comes out and lectures the crowd on not being pigs during the holiday season, and stands ringside or Austin/Kane. Match #3: Steve Austin vs. Kane This happened. It wasn't really bad or good, it was the definition of a match that happened. They got seven minutes, but these two don't really mesh together at any point in their careers. Regal got involved for the DQ. **1/4 It was a 2 on 1, until Regal brought in a chair. Austin got the chair away from him and killed both men with the chair and left. In the back, Cole interviews The Undertaker and asks about the match tonight. Taker said Rock is all bark, and he had a big bite, and with two big dogs in the yard, it should be interesting. He says Rocky's made a big name for himself, but if he tries him tonight, he'll make him famous. In the back, Stephanie asks T & A where Trish is. Test says she's not here and it's none of her business where their manager is. Stephanie leaves, and Test says he thinks she's at a certain "soup kitchen". Match #4: T & A vs. Too Cool This happened, and was your technically fine but total filler three minute match of the week. Albert ruled as usual, but that's about it. Stephanie came out to watch, and tripped up Test, allowing Sexay to roll him up and win. *3/4 In the back, Albert comes into Stephanie's office, and says Test is a hothead, and if she needs anything, he's her man. R.I.P. T & A. Match #5: Chris Jericho/The Dudley Boyz vs. Kurt Angle/Edge & Christian Real fun five minute match or so, but it's mostly the faces running through offense. The Angle Family in the front row gets into it with Jericho and the Dudleyz, and Eric Angle is Powerbombed through a table. The two tag teams brawl up the ramp, and Angle gets his knees up on a Lionsault, and he hits the Angle Slam to win. **3/4 The Angles beat on Jericho, until the Dudleyz run back in and they all bail. In the back, Kurt and E&C check on Eric, and say they will get even with the Dudleyz for this. The RTC comes out and says the internet is a horrible place full of filth and immorality. AND IT'S AMAZING. Match #6: The Acolytes w/ Jackie vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan w/ RTC This is better than usual, as the APA get Bull and Goodfather to actually smack each other really hard. Steven ate the Clothesline From Hell, but then Val got a DDT behind the ref's back, and Bull's Scissors Kick pinned B-Shaw. **1/2 A sit-down interview with JR and Chyna airs, and she says she has a broken neck and has to retire, and she cries a lot. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON'T CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARE. Match #7: The Rock vs. The Undertaker They gave this close to ten minutes, and it was very good as expected. Taker was really brutal and almost at his 2002-3 level of violence in his work on the kidneys and back, and Rock had his usual fiery comebacks and dramatic selling at the end. Great nearfalls, and Rikishi came down and attacked both men for the no contest. ***1/4 Rikishi Superkicks both men and hits them with Bonzai Drops to end the show. |

WWF World Champion: Kurt Angle, Since 10/22/2000 - LONGEST REIGNING REAL CHAMPION WWF Intercontinental Champion: Chris Benoit, Since 12/10/2000 WWF Tag Team Champions: Edge & Christian, Since 12/21/2000 WWF European Champion: William Regal, Since 12/4/2000 WWF Hardcore Champion: Raven, Since 12/25/2000 WWF Light Heavyweight Champion: Dean Malenko, Since 4/27/2000 WWF Women's Champion: Ivory, Since 11/2/2000 WWF Smackdown December 28th, 2000 Nashville, TN In the back, Stephanie has JR stand witness to her mission statement, which is to get the respect she deserves as a McMahon and the one in charge of running the show this week. She books Chris Jericho vs. Edge & Christian, Angle vs. Bubba for the WWF Title, The Rock/Undertaker vs. Rikishi, and she says tonight is about her. Match #1: Chris Jericho vs. Edge & Christian Decent stuff, but this was just kind of there for four minutes, and pretty held back as a result. Stephanie McMahon came out and distracted Jericho, and the Unprettier allowed Christian to get the pin. **1/4 Post-match, they hold Jericho up, and Stephanie repeatedly slaps him. Match #2: Chris Benoit [c] vs. Matt Hardy [WWF Intercontinental Championship] I overrated this due to surprise, but this is still really great. 7 minutes and fucking ruled. Matt's fire and hate early on were great and he even broke out a rare dive for him, and Benoit's bumping here was amazing. Benoit got control and beat the absolute shit out of Matt, with a ton of brutal shit. Matt's comeback also ruled, and had a great fiery underdog quality to it. A bunch of great nearfalls that I totally got into, and an epic finish. Benoit turns himself as Matt spun for a Tornado DDT, and took Matt down into the Crossface for the tapout. *** In the back, Coach tells an arriving Undertaker of his match tonight, and he responds with "...cool. Payback's gon' be a bitch." A video airs of Val & Ivory mocking the JR/Chyna interview, and it is a thing. Match #3: Kurt Angle [c] vs. Bubba Ray Dudley [WWF Championship] Not bad. Mostly a festival of Angle bumping around and being all dramatic and shit before getting a low blow and a cradle to win. There's the logic in the fact that the fucking World Champion shouldn't need that to beat a midcard tag wrestler, but Kurt's also pretty much a perfect coward champion, and this was still good times. **1/2 Edge and Christian run down to beat on Bubba, but D-Von comes to save. They clean house and set up a table, but E&C pull D-Von out, and Bubba eats the Angle Slam through a table. Stephanie comes out to the ring, and says she's changed her mind and will share her New Year's Resolutions. It is to get the respect she deserves. Okay, but you already said tonight was about that, so wat. Steve Austin comes down to the ring now and says he wants a WWF Title match vs. Angle, and that's all. She says he doesn't deserve one, so he decides he'll just drink some beer. He says they can drink together, and he gives her a beer. He toasts her and it spills on her dress. He asks if she doesn't like beer, and she says she does. He says that she's wasting his beer, and he'll join in, and he pours a beer over her head and leaves. Match #4: The Acolytes/Jackie vs. The Goodfather/Bull Buchanan/Ivory w/ Steven Richards This sucked. Okay? Let's leave it there. Ivory rolled up Jackie to win. 3/4* The RTC did a 3 on 2, until Billy Gunn ran down and cleared the ring. In the back, Albert tells Test they need to be on Stephanie's good side if they want their jobs. Test says it's Trish's fault, and Albert says she's home for the holidays. Test asks if her home is in Connecticut too, and Albert says not to cross the boss. Match #5: Raven [c] vs. Jeff Hardy [WWF Hardcore Championship] Good hardcore match. Not as good as the best Blackman defenses, but Blackman is the best Hardore Champion ever, so yeah. Cool spots, and a ladder was used. Raven blinded Jeff using a fire extinguisher, and he hit the Evenflow to retain. **3/4 In the back, Rikishi says Taker didn't make him famous, but he did that himself by running down Steve Austin and by taking out The Rock. He says that tonight, whatever he does is on Stephanie's head. Match #6: T & A vs. Too Cool Better than Raw, due to Test actually trying here and Albert being awesome as usual. Sexay hit the Hip Hop Drop, but Test hit him with the Flying Elbow as he covered, and Albert covered to win. **1/4 Post-match, ALBERT HIT TEST WITH A BICYCLE KICK! AND NOW T& A is dead. Stephanie is pleased in the back, and Albert leaves Test down in the ring. In the back, The Rock cuts a promo saying his resolutions are three-fold. One, regain the WWF Title. Two, go on to be the greatest sports-entertainer of ALL TIME. And three, is to raise the money to finally buy Kevin Kelly's sex change, and that he went to high school here in Nashville, and he's going to school on Rikishi's big fat candy ass. Rikishi is coming out for the main, but Stephanie comes out and says it's still a handicap match, but Rikishi now has two partners in Regal and Kane! Match #7: The Rock/The Undertaker vs. Rikishi/William Regal/Kane Regal vs. Taker was really great for a match up that never really happens again to my knowledge, and Rock has his usual bumping and dramatic selling as he continues to be basically unstoppable in the ring in 2000-1. Regal continued to rule shit all match, and this was real good shit for about five minutes. Everyone was motivated, and a bunch of great nearfalls happened down the finishing run. Kane missed Rock with a chair and hit Regal with it, and Rock DDT'd Regal to win. **3/4 A 3 on 2 happens, and Taker eats two Bonzai Drops. Rock is Chokeslammed and the three heels celebrate to end the final show of the year. |

TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR: This should shock nobody. As I mentioned, they split up the Big Three teams in various ways. The Dudley Boyz fought RTC and T & A and random midcard average guys when they got split, which did them no favors. Edge & Christian fought main eventers due to the alliance with Kurt Angle, but The Hardy Boyz got put against the fucking Radicalz, so this isn't a surprising win. ![]() 1. Eddie pushed Jericho off in mid-Lionsault and Dean covered to win. I am disappoint.
