ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mikey Whipwreck, Since 10/28/1995 ECW Television Champion: 2 Cold Scorpio, Since 8/25/1995 ECW Tag Team Champions: The Sandman/2 Cold Scorpio, Since 10/28/1995 ECW Hardcore TV December 5th, 1995 Philadelphia, PA Dreamer/Funk vs. Raven/Cactus opens the show. In the back, Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk cut a promo after the match. Terry says he loves the hardcore wrestlers and fans, and puts over Tommy as a good kid. He says he might not be back anymore inside a wrestling ring, and maybe he might, but he'll still visit. Tommy says he'll never forget what he's done for him, and Terry says they both just gotta keep going down their respective roads, and says he'll seem him again before he knows it. An amazing music video airs of Terry Funk set to "Desperado". A video airs on the Sandman/Mikey/Austin feud to hype up the 12/9 show. Match #1: Public Enemy vs. Bubba Ray Dudley/Dances With Dudley This is from Salisbury Beach, MA. The ECW Fan Cam graphic stays on all match and it's so fucking annoying. Bubba does some sensational comedy and it makes this the most entertaining PE match since the Gangstas carryjob. I didn't say best, because it's not good, but whatever. It's like two minutes clipped, and the rest of the Dudleys and Stevie Richards come out to interfere. It fails, as PE wins with a roll up. Fart/Dick It turns into a brawl between Stevie/Raven/Eliminators vs. Tommy/PE/Pitbulls that in typical ECW factions goes on WAY too long. HOWEVER, THE FUCKING HEAVENLY BODIES COME OUT TO HELP RAVEN AND THE DUDLEYS AND THEIR SIDE, AND RAVEN SAYS THE HEAVENLY BODIES WILL BE ON HIS ULTIMATE JEOPARDY TEAM! I wish that match made air at any point, because it sounds great. As it is, the faces won and Stevie lost, so nothing really big happened but him being beat up a lot. HOLIDAY HELL - 12/29/1995 - QUEENS, NY BUY NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER. Awesome recap video set to "November Rain". They've gotten significantly better at the promo videos for tapes since Gangstas Paradise. They air the Heavenly Bodies angle again. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mikey Whipwreck, Since 10/28/1995 ECW Television Champion: 2 Cold Scorpio, Since 8/25/1995 ECW Tag Team Champions: The Sandman/2 Cold Scorpio, Since 10/28/1995 ECW Hardcore TV December 12th, 1995 Philadelphia, PA TONIGHT: Matches from December to Dismember matches! Mikey vs. The Sandman vs. Steve Austin for the ECW Title! DECEMBER 29TH - HOLIDAY HELL: -SABU VS. CACTUS JACK Match #1: Bubba Ray Dudley/Dances With Dudley w/ Sign Guy, Chubby, & Big Dick Dudley vs. The Bad Crew Squash. The Bad Crew are generic biker jobbers, and this goes on WAY too long before Bubba uses THE MOTHERFUCKING POWERBOMB to win. * Bubba tries to sign autographs for fans, but Big Dick won't let him. Bubba is easily the best current character in ECW. Match #2: Mikey Whipwreck [c] vs. Steve Austin vs. The Sandman w/ Woman [ECW World Heavyweight Championship] This got a lot of time, so it was good fun. Austin's now shaved his head mostly. The rules are weird, as they start with Austin/Mikey and then after 5 minutes, Sandman is in. Awesome Austin/Mikey stuff, as Mikey slowly starts to hold his own against Austin, causing him to flip out and kill him. Great chaos when all three are in. No discernible story or anything, but cool spots and quality selling. Austin hits Mikey with the Stun Gun to eliminate him and guarantee a new champion. They have a great brawl, and Austin has it won, but mocks Sandman instead. He pours beer on him to mock him, BUT IT REVIVES SANDMAN! FUCK YEAH DRUNK POPEYE! They do some stuff, and Austin gets brass knucks out. Sandman takes them, AND HITS AUSTIN WITH THEM TO REGAIN THE TITLE! Austin's foot was on the ropes, but whatever. Feels like Sandman FINALLY turned face. *** PULP FICTION: -The Heavenly Bodies hit on Beulah and say they've heard all about her box -Alfonso yells and Taz is wearing a towel on his head now -Dances With Dudley sings "Feliz Navidad" -The Pitbulls say they're too much mad dog for The Eliminators, and Francine says she thought Beulah was a bitch, but Jason is something else -BUH BUH BUH BUH BUH -PE are going to eat someone's heart In the back, Joey Styles says The Sandman's hand was broken winning the title, but he's already signed to defend the title at Holiday Hell. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: The Sandman, Since 12/9/1995 ECW Television Champion: 2 Cold Scorpio, Since 8/25/1995 ECW Tag Team Champions: The Sandman/2 Cold Scorpio, Since 10/28/1995 ECW Hardcore TV December 19th, 1995 Philadelphia, PA The last five minutes of the three way dance from last week airs. Joey Styles says that on 12/29, it's Sandman vs. Steve Austin for the ECW Title, and on 1/5/1996 at HOUSE PARTY~, he'll face Konnan. In a pretape, Steve Austin cuts a promo. He says everyone's heard him sing a sad song about WCW and bitch and complain, about how he never got a shot. But he comes right into ECW, runs his mouth a little bit, and gets two title shots. AND MAN, HE DROPPED THE DAMN BALL. He says he got pinned by Mikey and The Sandman, and he just got off a long layoff. He says when Mikey beat him, he beat a man with one arm, who hadn't rehabbed for shit, but he still beat one of the best wrestlers alive, and that's the bottom line. Same goes for The Sandman. It makes him wanna sit back and take a few more weeks off, because maybe he can't cut it anymore. Maybe he'll never be the Superstar he thought he would be. He begs Eric to take him back, because he ain't got what it takes to make it in the ECW, brother. Yeah, that's what he should do, but he ain't gonna do that. He's better than that, he's better than everyone here. He's rusty as hell, but he's better than the people in the back and that buy the tickets. He says he's disgusted with himself, so he'll take a week off. He's gonna get his act together, because the only person that can deny him is himself. Of course, Austin ends up signing with the WWF, so this match never happens. Match #1: Taz w/ Bill Alfonso vs. El Puerto Ricano Fun squash. They get 3 minutes and EPR gets to show off some quality rookie stuff before Taz begins to kill him. Taz puts on the Tazzmission to win. *1/2 Alfonso gets on the mic and says he's ready for anyone, including 911 and Sabu. Taz gets on the mic and says that fuck is in Japan in front of people who appreciate hard wrestling, and he doesn't give a fuck about them, and neither does Taz or Fonzie. ECW HOUSE PARTY 96 - 1/5/96: THE FAREWELL TO THE PUBLIC ENEMY! OH MY GOD YES! FINALLY! A video airs of previous Cactus/Sabu matches, again set to "Grind". When PE comes out and dances, BUBBA RAY DUDLEY RUNS OUT TO DANCE TOO! FUCK YEAH! His dancing is immediately 100x better, and The Heavenly Bodies run out to attack him, but PE saves and the match starts. Match #2: Public Enemy vs. The Heavenly Bodies The Bodies do what they can, but the PE level of awful is a unique awful that is rarely ever salvaged, even by the best teams. But the Bodies rule here enough to make it ALMOST great. Awesome punches, bumping, selling, offense, creative transitions, etc. A rare PE match that actually feels like a huge fight, and it's better than the Gangstas match. Rocco crotches Del Ray on the top to block the Moonsault, and then clotheslines Dr. Tom down. Grunge gets a Jackknife Pin to win. **3/4 A music video of ECW's 1995 airs to an instrumental of "Joy to the World". |

With commercials, this kills half the show. HOUSE PARTY: -ELIMINATORS VS. REY/911 Highlights air of Eliminators/Pitbulls from 12/9, where The Eliminators won this time. HOLIDAY HELL: -RAVEN VS. TOMMY! -PUBLIC ENEMY VS. THE GANGSTAS PULP FICTION: -The Sandman pulls his soft cast off and asks if anyone thinks he cares about this -Cactus Jack is totally clean shaven and in his house in a suit and yells that he's hardcore as he sits by Christmas stuff -Alfonso yells -Sandman says he's gonna rip Konnan's face off and says he hopes he drinks the Mexican water -Clips from Austin's promo last week air too -Cactus is at Santa's Village on a ride and yells "I'M HARDCORE!" on a basic kids ride with his child -Clips air of Taz murdering El Puerto Ricano |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: The Sandman, Since 12/9/1995 ECW Television Champion: 2 Cold Scorpio, Since 8/25/1995 ECW Tag Team Champions: The Sandman/2 Cold Scorpio, Since 10/28/1995 ![]() ECW Holiday Hell December 29th, 1995 Queens, NY This is the first big show they've done outside the ECW Arena that actually got put out on tape. "THIS IS EXTREME" FINALLY DEBUTS! Stevie Richards and The Blue Meanie come out to open the show with Joey Styles in the ring. They find Missy Hyatt in the front row and she does not look good at all. Stevie hits on her to no avail, but says she can get her a date with Raven if she plays along, so she makes out with him. Huge downgrade for Stevie from dat prime young Francine to this. Poor Stevie. FUCK ME HOT STUFF, FUCK ME. Match #1: Taz w/ Bill Alfonso vs. Koji Nakagawa This isn't Yuji Nagata, Biggie. Did you just pick a Japanese person because you didn't hear the name? He looks nothing like Yuji Nagata. This is a Taz squash though, and that rules. Taz wins with the Tazmission. *3/4 Alfonso gets on the mic and says everyone in Queens is a pussy. Taz gets the mic and says unlike everyone here, he's a New Yorker who actually made something of himself. They chant for Sabu, and Taz says he ain't coming out, and says that pussy is hiding in the back. Match #2: Hack Myers vs. JT Smith JT botches and shit, but apart from that, he's awesome. He fucks up a Split-Legged Moonsault and Hack hits the Protogree to win. ** Before their match, Mikey challenges Scorpio to also put up the tag titles, and he does! Match #3: 2 Cold Scorpio [c/c] vs. Mikey Whipwreck [ECW Television & Tag Team Championship] Awesome match. Scorp just KILLS Mikey to start off. Mikey has some comebacks and gets in so much more than he would have a year ago, but still isn't on Scorpio's level and the match is about that. He's good enough to piss Scorpio off though, so 2 Cold makes him pay when he could have just won. The ref gets bumped, so Scorp slaughters Mikey with a Powerbomb, BUT CACTUS COMES OUT AND HITS THE DOUBLE ARM DDT! He throws Mikey on top for the three and the title.s *** Cactus gets them the three belts, and Mikey shakes his head AND THROWS THE TAG TITLE TO SCORPIO HAHAHAHAHAH. Cactus gets rid of him and makes Mikey take the titles, and he's too scared to refuse again. Awesome. Match #4: The Pitbulls vs. The Eliminators As always, Francine and Jason are there on the floor. They have another good but not great power fight. The big spots are still cool and they do a better job filling time between them this time, as it breaks down into a total brawl, and The Pitbulls are much more at home doing that, and Saturn and Kronus can hang there too. Only thing keeping this from greatness in the first half was them being awkward on a few spots. It starts to drag though, as The Pitbulls control for way too long and this gets 16 minutes for some reason. Finishing run is quality though. Jason slams Francine on the concrete, and #1 attacks him, but it allows #2 to get caught with the TOTAL ELIMINATION~ for the win. **1/2 Tommy Dreamer comes out to fight Raven in a #1 Contender's Match where the winner gets their shot in the main event, but Stevie Richards, Beulah, and the Blue Meanie come out instead of Raven. Stevie says this match can't happen, because Raven broke his leg. Tommy says that's bullshit and everyone knows it, and says to give him Raven. Stevie says Raven gave him orders to book Tommy vs. Meanie instead, AND TOMMY IMMEDIATELY DDTS HIM AND PINS HIM! Stevie attacks from behind, and it shows how far both have come in 1995 as it's SO much better than their horrible match from January's TV. Dreamer DDTs him too, and also pins Stevie. Beulah comes in and slaps at his back. Tommy gets her up for the Piledriver, BUT A FUCKING LUNCH CART FLIES INTO THE RING AND HITS HIM IN THE BACK! IT'S RAVEN AND THE MATCH IS ON! Match #5: Raven vs. Tommy Dreamer [#1 Contender's Match] Their feud cooled down HUGE over the last 4-5 months, but this picks it right back up with how great it is. Easily their best match of the four they've had in 1995. Great brawling control segment by Raven, and Tommy takes some nasty bumps. AND RAVEN HITS A PLANCHA ONTO TOMMY THROUGH A TABLE! I love the recklessness of Raven's dive. He keeps in control, BUT TOMMY HAS AN AMAZING COMEBACK! DDT! STEVIE COMES BACK OUT TO EAT ONE TOO! TOMMY HITS A SECOND DDT ON RAVEN, BUT STEVIE DIVES IN THE WAY OF THE COVER! Stevie eats a second one too as Raven rolls out. Tommy beats him to the outside of the building, and back in, and there's another ref bump. Beulah gets hairspray again, BUT TOMMY DUCKS AND SHE BLINDS RAVEN! RAVEN ACCIDENTALLY HITS STEVIE WITH THE EVENFLOW! DDT ON RAVEN, BUT HE KICKS OUT! Tommy then hits a Piledriver on a piece of wood, and Raven kicks out again. Raven pulls the ref in the way of Tommy in the corner, AND STEVIE HITS TOMMY WITH THE STEVIEKICK! An Evenflow right after that would have been perfect, but they do the Meanie missed Moonsault spot to tease another comeback, but Raven hits an Evenflow on the chair right after to win. Close enough. ***1/4 The Nest helps Raven to the back. Match #6: El Puerto Ricano vs. Bruiser Mastino Goddamnit. This show really felt like ECW flipped a switch and delivered a great show, and this happens. Mastino is fucking Mantaur, and EPR dies to make it decent. Mastino catches EPR off the top and hits a world's strongest-style slam to win. *1/4 He keeps on the attack, AND 911 COMES OUT TO SAVE AND HITS A CHOKESLAM! FUCK YOU MANTAUR. Bill Alfonso comes out and blows the whistle since he still wants the Chokeslam banned, and Taz comes out. They get pulled apart, AND UGH ANOTHER GORDON/ALFONSO BRAWL. Taz pulls Alfonso out to safety, and 911 Chokeslams JT Smith for good fun, since he was one of the people who broke up the brawl. 911 leaves, but Stevie, Meanie, and the Dudleys stay out and dance. It is amazing. Stevie and Meanie get mad when Bubba outdances them, and they argue. Stevie gets on the mic and says Raven is not going to be happy with him, and Bubba is sad, and Stevie says he is not happy either. Bubba says his name is BUH BUH BUH BUH, and Stevie slaps him! Big Dick is mad and Stevie says this is how it goes, Buh-Buh-Bubba. He says if he can't beat his Blue Meanie, Raven and he are going to fire him! BUBBA SAYS FUCK HIM AND HIS BLUE MEANIE! YEAH! Match #7: The Blue Meanie vs. Bubba Ray Dudley w/ Big Dick, Dances With, & Sign Guy Dudley This is only a minute, but it was part of an entertaining segment, so I'll give them the points. Stevie leaves immediately, and Bubba fights back. He hits an awesome Splash off the top to win. *1/4 Big Dick gives Meanie a Chokeslam, and DW hits an elbow drop followed by running around the ring signaling for a tomahawk chop. Bubba goes back up and hits another awesome Flying Splash. Stevie comes back out and says he knew he could do it, and he's #1, and the Dudleys are all great. He says he loves them all, especially Big Dick, because he loves Big Dick. They walk out on him and Stevie says he loves them, and Meanie ain't shit. Bubba celebrates to the back as the greatest babyface ever, and the ECW fans finally put on an amazing chant with "OH STEVIE YOU'RE SO FINE YOU'RE SO FINE YOU SUCK BIG COCK HEY STEVIE!" Stevie tells them to go talk to Raven, and they all go to the back. Stevie then hugs Meanie and helps him up. This is all amazing. Match #8: The Sandman [c] w/ Woman vs. Raven w/ Stevie Richards & Beulah McGillicutty [ECW World Heavyweight Championship] Weird and disappointing match. Sandman was clearly fucking tanked to the point of being unable to do a lot here, and Raven isn't the carrying type, at least not when it comes to taking the bulk of the workload. They both sort of worked heel, and hey, ANOTHER REF BUMP. I always remembered Raven's shoots and how he liked ref distractions and bumps because even in a promotion with loose rules, the ref missing something made people feel like they were still doing illegal things. So why not distract the ref in one of these matches tonight instead? Raven sort of works face at the end as they fight off Woman and he hits the Evenflow, but the ref is out. Tommy comes out to cane both men, and he hits Raven with a DDT on the chair in revenge. AND THEN IT'S NOT EVEN THE END? SO WHY DO IT? WHY HAVE RAVEN WORK FACE WHEN HE'S FEUDING WITH YOUR TOP BABYFACE WHO INTERFERES IN THE MATCH?! WHY HAVE HIM INTERFERE IUEBGRPHREIUTP,HEIUBFD FUCK YOU. THIS SHOW WAS GOING SO SO SO GOOD. LEGITIMATELY GREAT SHOW. THEN THIS. IT'S NOT EVEN A HORRIBLE MATCH, IT'S JUST SO TERRIBLY BOOKED! AND RAVEN IS UP FIRST TOO. Sandman survives the Evenflow, and within a minute, knocks Raven off the top and hits the Rolling Rock Legdrop to retain. Decent wrestling, just...god damnit. **1/4 That was fucking terrible and really put a damper on my enjoyment of this, even if it is the show of the year. Match #9: The Gangstas vs. Public Enemy At least The Gangstas are back now. This is at least only 8 minutes, so ECW is either finally practicing time management or doing it as a "fuck you" to PE for leaving. Either way, it's long overdue. The crowd chants for PE not to go, because they're idiots. However, this match blows. Not the miracle of their first match, just PE style aimless bullshit hardcore stuff with no passion or flow or creativity or anything that can make this style good. The referee argues with Grunge and Jack for not being in the ring despite ALL OF THEIR FUCKING MATCHES BEING LIKE THIS. It's clearly just to set up the finish as Rocco leans out to do something and Jack hits him with a chair. Mustafa roll him up to win. *1/4 The fans now chant that PE sold out. After that match, I would turn on them too, although I have no idea how it took 2-3 years for them to figure out that PE is the worst tag team/major act in any wrestling promotion EVER. Before the main event, Cactus Jack gets on the mic and says WCW sucks, and makes the face that will later follow his trademark cheap pop attempts. He says he enjoys being their Tag Team Champion and he loves being hardcore and he wants them to know all the bad things he said were about Philadelphia, because he'd never put down his fellow New York homeboys. He says he wants to tell a story that New Yorkers can appreciate. He says there's a friend of his in a wheelchair on ECW shows, and he's in a wheelchair. Sometimes he hands a crutch to the wrestlers, and one time, he told John he'll see him at the show, but John said with a tear in his eye that he couldn't make it because he doesn't have a ride. He asks them to stop chanting for Sabu because it's disrespectful to his friend. He said he would give John a ride and on the way back, John told him it was a dream of his to drive with him, and tonight, they're going to make another dream come true because when Sabu left earlier, he was under the impression that everyone thought he could only use chairs and break tables. And tonight, they would fulfill Sabu's dream and not use chairs or tables, but he'll bring that young man out here, AND THEY WOULD HAVE ONE HELL OF AN OLYMPIC RULES WRESTLING MATCH! Mick Foley is a fucking genius for this latest turn of events, showing him being a family man and helping out the handicapped to exploit what disgusting and deplorable human beings ECW fans were/are. He brings out referee Pee Wee Moore, and he goes over the rules of the NCAA. 911 comes out to Chokeslam Pee Wee More, and he is the new referee. Match #10: Cactus Jack vs. Sabu [Special Referee: 911] This was good, it's what you want from fucking Cactus vs. Sabu. Violent, chaotic, out of control, sloppy in that wonderful Foley and Sabu kind of way where it adds to the match, etc. The spot where Cactus gets his head caught in the ropes never gets old. Cactus takes a nasty spill through an ungimmicked table off a Sabu crossbody. They get increasingly more crazy and it is fantastic. Sabu wins with a Flying Arabian Facebuster. **3/4 |
