ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW Hardcore TV October 15th, 1999 West Wego, LA In the back, The Impact Players cut a promo. Justin asks what they haven't done, and says they ran off a Franchise, a Sandman, they shopped down a seven foot giant named Sid, they took years off of Jerry Lynn's career, and decades off Tommy Dreamer's life. Lance Storm says the only thing left is the Tag Team Titles, and those titles shouldn't be on a garbage team, but a team of impact players. Lance says the title should go to CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA. Justin drops the phrase and says to come get some. No, you're the challengers, you have to go get some. Fucking moron. Match #1: Jason vs. Jazz Of course they needed a 10 minute rematch on TV. OF COURSE. Jazz wins again. Andy's DD Output The Camp Corino vs. New Orleans Saints angle airs. In the ring, Simon Diamond says that he has a problem, he's brought his close personal friend, Dick. Dick will be watching his rear at all times. He makes him wish him good luck, but Dick says to get 'em tiger, and slaps him on the ass. Tajiri and Guido come out for the match and Simon asks Tajiri to say some English, so he says "DIAMOND SUCKS DICKS." Match #2: Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Little Guido vs. Simon Diamond [Three Way Dance] All the usuals are on the floor. Simon is more out of place in a Guido/Tajiri match than Guido was in a Crazy/Tajiri match. He's not really bad or anything, but his basic heeling is so not what these matches are about. Guido eliminates Diamodn with the Unprettier, and Tajiri gets to carry Guido some more. This is their best match against each other since Hardcore Heaven though. Tajiri wins with the Brainbuster. **1/2 They show the Corino/Tajiri beatdown of Lynn from TNN. Match #3: Rob Van Dam [c] w/ Bill Alfonso vs. Spike Dudley [ECW Television Championship] Another far too long for a blatant showcase match RVD title defense. Some fun stuff, but nothing really new and it felt like RVD was just going through his motions. Stuff happened and RVD got the win with the top rope Van Daminator and the Five Star Frog Splash. **1/4 |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW on TNN October 22nd, 1999 West Wego, LA Match #1: Mike Awesome [c] w/ Judge Jeff Jones vs. New Jack [ECW World Heavyweight Championship] FUCK YEAH. THE MERE EXISTENCE OF THIS IS GREAT. The match itself wasn't, since it's just New Jack throwing everything at Awesome and the champion pulling through to get him over even more as unstoppable. Awesome tosses him over the top and through the timekeeper's table with the Awesome Bomb, and then brings him in to hit the Awesome Splash for the win. **1/2 Match #2: Chris Candido w/ Tammy Lynn Sytch vs. Nova This is fine and all for a few minutes, but then doring, Roadkill, and Ms. Congeniality hit the ring and attack Nova for the DQ. *1/2 Candido helps Nova run them off, but Lance Storm and Dawn Marie come out for a distraction. Doring and Roakill jump Candido and Lita jumps Sunny. Lance stomps on Candido and Lita holds Tammy for Dawn to spank with a paddle. Then Dawn slaps her and throws her out too. Dawn says that's two down and one to go, and she calls out Francine so she can show her the real Queen of Extreme. Francine and Tommy Dreamer come out and Tommy holds her back. Lance asks who's holding who back because since he broke Tommy's back, he can't be much good to her. They both hit the ring to fight and Justin Credible runs out to cane Tommy. BUT RAVEN ACTUALLY COMES OUT TO SAVE? LANCE DRAWS THE LINE WITH HIS FOOT AS CREDIBLE READIES THE CANE BEHIND HIM, BUT TOMMY RUNS AND HITS CREDIBLE FIRST! HOLY SHIT THIS IS FUCKING GREAT SUDDENLY. RAVEN AND TOMMY RUN THEM OFF, BUT BACK INTO EACH OTHER, AND RAVEN SWINGS AROUND AND HITS THE EVENFLOW ON INSTINCT. Coming off the break, Tommy is up with the mic and he calls Raven out to the ring to finish this thing. Raven comes out and actually gets in the ring this time, but immediately walks out. Match #3: Rhino w/ Steve Corino & Jack Victory vs. David Kash Kid Kash is back to doing weird babyface stuff, so that's upsetting. Kash eats a killer GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE and Rhino then hits a Piledriver to win. *1/2 Corino gets on the mic after the match and says the way he sees it, there's nobody left for Rhino to destroy except for one. Corino says they're going to take out the originator of ECW and he calls out the hardcore legend because RHINO WANTS SABU! FUCK YEAH! SABU COMES OUT! Match #4: Sabu vs. Rhino Everyone is ringside and this RULES. Sabu does a Sabu Match and basically makes Rhino from nothing. Lots of big bumps and spots, but he has to do some big stuff just to get offense in, and Rhino has several key counters to Sabu trademarks. Sabu hits the Poetry in Motion thing to the back of Rhino as he leans against a table, so that's a cool one. Corino tries to shield Rhino at the end to save it, but Sabu hits him with the Arabian Facebuster but to the back of the head. He hits one on rhino too, and then the Triple Jump Moonsault to win. *** NEXT WEEK: SABU VS. TAZ! A recap of all the recent ECW stuff airs to "Whatever" by Godsmack. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW Hardcore TV October 22nd, 1999 West Wego, LA In the back, RVD and Fonzie cut a promo and something's fucked up because their voices are super high. RVD says nobody can beat him anywhere, and not even Sabu. Fonzie says Sabu is tough DADDY and puts him over, and RVD says that's cool, but he's not Rob Van Dam. SABU GETS IN AND HAS TO BE HELD BACK BY SECURITY. RVD says he knows Sabu likes to share the camera and the ring with him and says they need to do this, and he challenges his ass to get in the ring. Only the talking is weird, as the ring stuff seems to sound fine. Match #1: Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney vs. CW Anderson/Bill Wiles Solid little ROTTEN BALLS squash. CW shows a lot of potential, but eats a chair shot to the back from Axl and one to the head from Balls for the win. *1/2 Da Baldies come on the ramp and they say they've come to take them out, because they are Da Baldies. The Impact Players/Candido/Tommy/Raven segment from TNN airs. Match #2: The Impact Players vs. Danny Doring/Roadkill All the usuals are on the floor. Doring and Roadkill being turned babyface for the night is a unique thing that makes this fun. It's not great or anything, but it's a solid showcase for the Players. Lance gets some good work out of Doring. They pick it up big time in the final minute or so, as Roadkill throws Credible through a table in the corner. Jason gets involved, but Lita low blows him. Joey says she got him in the inner thigh far away from the crotch but that still hit. So Joey's telling us that Jason has a huge cock. Awesome, thanks for that. Dawn gets rid of her, and when Lance gets rid of Doring when he goes after her. Roadkill eats a Superkick from Lance and then the cane shot from Credible and that's the end. **1/2 |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW on TNN October 29th, 1999 Poughkeepsie, NY Match #1: Taz vs. Sabu w/ Bill Alfonso This is yet again very good and probably their best non-Barely Legal match together, but never hits that level. Feels pretty held back on Taz's end, as he doesn't get a lot of offense and comes across like a warm body in there for a 10 minute Sabu showcase. He has some stuff and it's all good, but it's a long way from this dominating force of nature he'd been for the last 4 years. Sabu wins with a Flying Legdrop through a table. **3/4 The Impact Players hit the ring to attack Sabu but Rob Van Dam runs out to save! Lance and Justin immediately bail and Sabu and RVD fight. Sabu punches RVD AND HE FALLS BACK INTO THE TAZMISSION! YEAH! Joey yells that he did it from behind, but that's literally the only way to put the hold on. Taz lets go and Sabu stomps on RVD. He even shoves down Fonzie and Sabu keeps stomping on RVD. In the back, Joey announces RVD/Taz for N2R. Sign Guy is now Lou E. Dangerously, and on Hardcore TV this week, he brings back Mikey Whipwreck! Match #2: Lance Storm vs. Tommy Dreamer Women are on the floor. This is a match that happens for a bit. A ladder gets used as Tommy misses an elbow drop on it. Tommy hits the DVD on Lance, but then there's a catfight. Raven comes out and hits Tommy with the Evenflow and sits in the corner for Lance to pin Tommy, since he only wants Tommy to win when he does. ** Justin Credible comes out and he canes Raven to bust him open. They beat Raven down in the ring and Justin drops his lines. Tommy then runs them off with a chair. Coming back from break, Raven is sitting in the corner and has the mic. Tommy is still in the ring, and Raven says he may hate those too, but he hates him even fucking worse. He says he wants to leech off his stardom like everyone else and he's a dirtbag like all of them. He says all Tommy wants to be is him, but then Raven cheapshots Tommy with the mic. They fight, and Tommy hits Raven with the DDT. In the back, Nova says his partner was hurt at Anarchy Rulz and dedicates every match he wrestle to his partner and his best friend, Chris Chetti. Faggot. Da Baldies vs. Nova and David Cash is up next, but Da Baldies beat down Future Kid Kash on the floor, and Doring and Roadkill come to beat down Nova. Da Baldies beat up Nova too, and Balls, Axl, and Jazz come out to save. Jazz lays out Lita with a chair to the back and then celebrates with Balls and Axl. In the back, Joey and Gertner announce Tommy & Raven vs. The Impact Players for N2R for the belts. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW Hardcore TV October 29th, 1999 Philadelphia, PA In the ring, Joey introduces the show.Sign in the front row: "TAZ FEARS HHH". DIS BUILD. Sign Guy Dudley comes out in normal clothes and says it's not Sign Guy. He says he did everything and paid his dues to become a part of ECW and he was a part of the hottest act in pro wrestling. He puts on an ECW hat and sportcoat and looks like Paul, and says he's Lou E. Dangerously. He says here's here to confirm rumors and he has a former Heavyweight Champion, AND HE BRINGS MIKEY WHIPWRECK! YEAH! Match #1: Mike Awesome [c] vs. Mikey Whipwreck [ECW World Heavyweight Championship] Jeff Jones and Lou are on the floor. This is the same as usual, total Awesome showcase and it's lots of fun. Awesome Bomb to a floor table and then the Awesome Splash does it again. ** Apparently the Impact Players vs. Tommy/Raven title match is tonight, so I fucked up. Match #2: Jerry Lynn vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri w/ Steve Corino & Jack Victory UGH. Jerry dropped a great short match focusing on his taped up ribs against Tajiri's slight inferior, Super Crazy. So naturally with his ribs taped up here and getting 15 instead of 10...they have a really average match. Lynn isn't selling much of anything and makes Tajiri play around with his bullshit offense and sequences. Corino eats a Cradle Piledriver and Lynn dives onto Victory. Tajiri gets him with red mist and hits the Brainbuster to win. **1/4 Before the match, Joey announces a six man tag for N2R with Impact Players vs. Raven & Tommy, each team having a mystery partner. Match #3: Raven/Tommy Dreamer [c] vs. The Impact Players [ECW World Tag Tean Championship] This is fine enough as a match that's about 5-7 minutes long and a blatant set up for a huge angle. Raven and Tommy have some fun spots where they're messing with each other, but neither wants to actually lose the titles. Things break down at the end with a ref bump and Rhino comes in to stop Tommy from DDT'ing Dawn Marie. Joey yells that that's their third man. Raven gets caned and hit with That's Incredible as Lance hits Tommy with the Cradle Piledriver. The ref counts, BUT THE LIGHTS GO OUT. MATCH IS OVER. ** THE SANDMAN IS IN THE EAGLE'S NEST. FUCK YEAH! SANDMAN CANES PEOPLE AND THE HEELS HAVE TO DRAG RHINO AWAY! The crowd sings on and this is the best part of 1999 so far. Raven just leaves and Tommy looks like he's got his best friend back as the drink and sing. I care a lot more about ECW now. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW on TNN November 5th, 1999 Philadelphia, PA The Sandman return opens the show. In the N2R rundown, Lynn/Tajiri/Crazy is made along with Sabu/Candido. Da Baldies are in the ring with chairs and they challenge Balls and Axl so they can show them who the hardcore chair swinging freaks really are. Balls and Axl come out and run off Angel and Devito. Skull stands up and Balls challenges him to a chair shot contest, but Axl hits him in the back. Balls lays him out with a chair shot to the head, but PN News comes out and joins Da Baldies to help them beat down Balls and Axl. New Jack runs out to save and does stuff, BUT ANGEL STAPLES NEW JACK IN THE EYE. They bail as everyone tends to New Jack. On the streets, Da Baldies cut a promo. Skull says New Jack's name is on the streets no more, and they thought he was a tough guy. The streets ate him up alive, and the streets belong to Da Baldies now. Match #1: Super Crazy vs. Spike Dudley vs. Little Guido w/ Sal E. Graziano [Three Way Dance] It's a rare thing where ECW matches feel totally out of control and legit chaotic, or even parts of a match. They try to present chaos but it's usually so obvious that it never feels that way. But there's stuff like the Sandman/Cactus barbed wire match, the Raven/Terry Gordy match, 5 minutes of the first Eliminators/RVD & Sabu match, etc. that feel totally wild and out of control in a very organic way. This starts off like that. Spike has a weird female fan dressed like him and Guido insults her, AND SPIKE RANDOMLY DECIDES TO HAVE AN AMAZING BRAWL WITH BOTH GUYS. INSANE DIVES FROM SPIKE AND CRAZY. INSANE CHAIR SHOTS. SPIKE PUTS SAL THROUGH THE TIMEKEEPER'S TABLE WITH THE ACID DROP! And then because ECW is fundamentally fucking broken on a deep level, Spike's reward for making this one of the best matches of the year is being eliminated first with the Unprettier. Crazy then gets the best out of Guido so far in 1999, not letting him do technical stuff to pretend this isn't a total spotfest. He takes out Sal again, AND GUIDO KICKS OUT OF THE BRAINBUSTER! WHOA! Crazy ends it with a brutal Liger Bomb, and that is one of the best spotfests in ECW history. Fuck it, one of the best MATCHES in ECW history. ***1/2 PULP FICTION: -RVD says he's the top guy in the company, and he was even when Taz was the champion. He knows he wants to punish him for that, but it's not going to happen. He's the best wrestler in the whole fucking world and nobody ever said that about him about his 4 minute title matches. He outperformed him and outshined him EVERY night for the 8 months they were both champions. Survive if HE lets you. -Simon Diamond says he always brings his big Dick -Danny Doring cries and says his woman is gone and it'll take him at least two hours to get over it. He then seriouses up and says any women who want some of the Danoconda now that he's single again, he's staying at room 600 in the Marriott. He says it all tastes like -- and Roadkill bursts in to say CHICKENS. -Fonzie is with Sabu and says Chris Candido won't make his big comeback against Sabu and he must be crazy and he's gonna put him through a table and he won't even come back to the dressing room. -Diamond is bringing his big Dick to Buffalo, and they're coming together -Jerry Lynn says the next time he meets Tajiri, it'll be his honor and pleasure, because he'll kick his ass real good. Horrible. Take your fucking reading glasses off when you're trying to cut a badass promo. -Da Baldies are there. Devito asks if New Jack is looking for them, and they mock him having one eye now. Angel says it could be worse, because he could actually find them. DA BALDIES. -Diamond says if you play with him, you'll have to play with his big Dick, and his big Dick is real stuff -Steve Corino says this is the biggest N2R of all time and there's gonna be some winners and losers. He says The Sandman brought his cane, cigarettes, and beer, and he brought his ass too, and Rhino's going to hand that back to him. Rhino says he doesn't owe Sandman any respect or admiration and all he owes him is an ass kicking. Rhino says they'll know his name, and Corino says that's his monster. -Raven asks Tommy how he could do it, letting The Sandman into their little happy family. He says Lance Storm is a primadonna at best but he'll look pretty with a face full of blood, and he can't wait to hurt Justin Credible. He says he would sooner watch his mother die than let Credible beat him because it's better to have a condemned soul than to have none at all. Quote the Raven, nevermore. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW Hardcore TV November 5th, 1999 Philadelphia, PA In the back, Camp Corino cuts a promo. Steve Corino says the plan was perfect, as the Tag Team Titles were about to change as the Impact Players fulfilled their destiny, but it went dark. The lights went out, and then up on the Eagle's Nest in all his glory and splendor, The Sandman was back in ECW. Everybody's hero was back, but one man wasn't afraid and ready to take the challenge, and the nightmare's name is Rhino. He says he wasn't here for the glory days and he doesn't know him and he doesn't owe him anything either, besides an ass kicking. He says he's going to make a name off of him and kick the living shit out of him, and he'll know the name Rhino. The Sandman's return is aired again. The final moments and post-match of Sabu/Taz from TNN air. In the back, RVD and Fonzie cut a promo. Fonzie says his man's gonna take it all out on Taz. RVD says he knows Taz wants a piece of Sabu and he does too, but he's got to worry about Rob Van Dam on PPV. He might know that name, because it's what the fans have been chanting at him for 2 years while he's carried the TV Title and the company while Taz was the Heavyweight Champion. He says he's more popular than everyone, so it's not personal against Taz. Fonzie says nobody comes close. RVD says if he can beat him, he'll be The Man finally, because he's the Whole Fucking Show. The New Jack/Da Baldies angle airs. In the back, Balls and Axl cut a promo. Axl says he looks at ECW and what it's become and he knows everyone is out to make a name for themselves, but doing what they did to Jerome is ridiculous. SHOOT NAMES. Balls says he shared cars and laundromats and even apartments with New Jack. He says you don't make a name for yourselves like this. Axl says they made this personal now. In the back, Joey announces Balls and Axl vs. Da Baldies for N2R and says New Jack has promised to be there. The original Lynn/Tajiri/Corino angle airs. Pulp Fiction from TNN airs. "NOVEMBER RAIN" VIDEO. YEAH. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ![]() ECW NOVEMBER 2 REMEMBER 1999 NOVEMBER 7TH, 1999 BUFFALO, NY In the ring, Joey Styles and Cyrus introduce the show. Cyrus has a glove on and says Buffalo is the bacteria capitol of the world, and says it's that time once again for the man that's so good on the mic that he only works once every eight weeks because Cyrus is back on PPV. Joel "I'm The One They Want to Pork When They're in Buffalo, New York" Gertner also comes out to host, and Taz comes out. He says Joey hasn't returned any phone calls or messages or e-mails and asks where the god damned heat is. Joey says he called him last and Taz says he's a lying bastard and he knows he tried to punk him out on TNN by implying he choked out RVD from behind and did a cowardly act. Joey says he did AND TAZ SAYS THAT'S HOW YOU PUT THE MOVE ON. FUCK YEAH. EAT SHIT YOU FUCKING HACK. He says he does what he wants and if Joey wants to punk him out, it means he wants to fight. Taz lets him leave, so Joey bails. Taz asks if ECW is going to fire him and asks Gertner why he didn't stop Joey from talking shit, and calls him a bitch. Taz chokes him out when he turns to leave, and Cyrus is the only one left. HE IS TAZ. THE HUMAN SUPLEX MACHINE. BEAT HIM IF YOU CAN. SURVIVE IF HE LETS YOU. Cyrus thanks Taz, and they shake hands. Taz says no, and thanks Cyrus. Simon Diamond and Dick Hertz are in the ring after the intro video. He says it's a sad day when two clean cut good looking guys can't hang out and be friends without derogatory comments. He has Dick remove his robe and Dick says to go get them tiger, and slaps his ass. He says he'll let Dick slide, and says to look at his huge, vascular Dick. Jazz comes out and attacks diamond, but Dick lays her out with a shitty move. Diamond says that's his giant killer. Spike Dudley then comes out and hits Dick in the balls and hits the Acid Drop. A match breaks out. Match #1: Spike Dudley vs. Simon Diamond w/ Dick Hertz Spike continues his crazy steak with an awesome three minute squash of Diamond. The brief bits of offense he got in were fun, actually, as Spike gets the best out of a guy. Spike wins with the Acid Drop. ** Little Guido and Sal come out to attack Spike. Nova comes out to save and a match breaks out again. SO INVENTIVE. Match #2: Little Guido w/ Sal E. Graziano vs. Nova This gets 4 minutes thankfully. Nova has his awesome dive and then everything else is horrible. Sal interferes and Guido wins with the Unprettier. *3/4 Chris Chetti makes his return to save. Doring and Roadkill then come out to beat him down. Doring hits a Butterfly Edgacution, and Roadkill hits a big splash off the top to his back. Before the match, Corino proclaims Tajiri the GOD of the three way dance. Match #3: Jerry Lynn vs. Super Crazy vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri w/ Steve Corino & Jack Victory [Three Way Dance] Ruled, as usual. Not great though, Lynn stays out of the way in the first half and Tajiri and Crazy do their thing. Crazy does a balcony Moonsault in the crowd, and they go back in for a lot more spots. Lynn hits Super Crazy with the Cradle Piledriver, but Tajiri saves, and hits Crazy with the Brainbuster for the elim. Lynn then slows everything WAY down because he can't go at Tajiri's level. He wins with the Cradle Piledriver. **3/4 Steve Corino attack Lynn post-match, but he gets hit with the Cradle Piledriver. Footage of Da Baldies attacking New Jack airs. Match #4: Da Baldies vs. New Jack/Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney Handicap match! New Jack doesn't come in for a few minutes, but this is fun enough for what it is. Angel gets a not-pulled-at-all VACUUM CLEANER TO THE DICK. This is also the show where he does his insane dive off a basketball board. He staples Skull, but Angel hits him with the guitar from behind, and pins New Jack to win. Cyrus dubs him the king of the streets. ** In the back, Fonzie is with Sabu and he says Sabu dedicates the match to his friend who just died, Ticho. Match #5: Sabu vs. Chris Candido Fonzie and Tammy are on the floor. This is the least of all their matches, as something just feels off and held back. It's like a 75% speed Sabu match before it kicks up a notch in the second half with chair and table stuff. Through the match, the fans mostly chant "SHOW YOUR TITS" and it takes away from the match a lot. Fucking mutants. Candido sacrifices himself to get Tammy out of Sabu's path and gets Legdropped through a table. Camel Clutch then gives Sabu the win. **3/4 Clips air of Lou Dangerously firing random people in the back. Match #6: Mike Awesome [c] w/ Judge Jeff Jones vs. Mike Awesome [ECW World Heavyweight Championship] This was absolutely an Awesome/Tanaka match. Mike Awesome and Masato Tanaka had a wrestling match, and by now, you know what that entails. No sells in a fun manner, tables being broken, chair shots, head drops, etc. It's all really good, but there's nothing you can say in regards to story or selling or psychology without recapping the match and that's boring. Awesome wins with a Super Liger Bomb. *** Match #7: Rob Van Dam [c] w/ Bill Alfonso vs. Taz [ECW Television Championship] For once I wish an RVD match went longer. They got 14-15 here, but it felt like it ended as it was becoming a classic, so it's only a low level great match. Awesome start with Taz trying to embarrass RVD on the mat, and then getting mad when RVD didn't care, so he roughed him up. Lots of cool spots after that as RVD comes back, including a Capture Suplex through a table in the corner. RVD pulls through and hits the Five Star Frog Splash for the win. *** They high five after the match and Taz leaves. This is Taz's last ECW appearance, but not his last match since he worked a TV taping a few days prior. Match #8: Raven/Tommy Dreamer/The Sandman vs. The Impact Players/Rhino Everyone is at ringside. This was only 10 minutes and the entrances lasted longer than the match, but it was a good little deal. Raven can't get along with anyone. They mostly tease future Sandman and Rhino matches here without delivering on anything. Raven hits Tommy with the toe hold into the chair, and accidentally canes Sandman. Justin hits Sandman with That's Incredible to AGAIN pin him to try and get over, and Raven lets it happen. **1/4 |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW on TNN November 12th, 1999 Dayton, OH In the back, Justin, Lance, and Dawn Marie arrive. Jason says Sandman is drunk and crazy and he says he's taking them out one by one, and he's already caned some people for no reason. Rhino comes over and says he'll eliminate The Sandman, and Lance and Dawn say they're not staying for this, and they leave. Jason tried to get Credible to leave, but he's staying. TONIGHT: HAVE THE IMPACT PLAYERS BROKEN UP?! (wat?) LYNN/CORINO! TAJIRI/CRAZY! SANDMAN/RHINO! In the bathroom, Tommy Dreamer cuts a promo and mocks Raven's usual schtick at first. He says he wants to hide himself behind piercings and tattoos, but that means he fits in here, and is just like all of them. Nobody's perfect, life sucks, take it on the chin. He asks what Raven could do now that he hasn't done before. He'll beat him? So what. He says he doesn't care about his body and busts himself open by slamming his head against the stall wall. They're bound by blood now, and tells Scotty to do the right thing. Before his match, Steve Corino gets on the mic. He says a lot of things in ECW make him sick, but the thing that makes him sickest is people that cry and whine and people who are scared to wrestle hurt. He says to look at him and he's been wrestling with a broken appendix for nine months now! And Jerry Lynn has a few bruised ribs and he has to tape himself up every match, and calls his crippled ass out so he can end his career finally. Match #1: Jerry Lynn vs. Steve Corino w/ Jack Victory This is a 4 minute thing to put Lynn over, which kind of sucks given that Corino carried this. He had some awesome rib work that Lynn blew off when he came back, particularly these great right hands to the side and the stomach. Lynn shrugged it off and hit the Cradle Piledriver to win. Fuck you. *3/4 Tajiri hits the ring and they fight, but Lynn gets the green mist. Jack Victory gets in to hold Lynn up so that Tajiri can kick at his ribs, but Super Crazy runs out to save. Camp Corino leaves, and the blinded Lynn hits Super Crazy, and they fight. In an office, Cyrus is on the phone. He says neither or he or Paul is happy with it, so it has to change and says to try and make him look less fat on TV. He sees the camera and hangs up. He says on behalf of the creative department, he has a review of the commentary situation. He says Joey is good, but Joel Gertner has heat with the boys because he gets himself over at the expense of the talent, and he misbehaved at N2R by getting into a fight with talent. He says he's calling a meeting and he'd like Joel Gertner to come to the office so they can discuss his future, and he may want to explore other options. Onward and upward. In the back, Joel is paranoid and Joey says there is no creative department or office. Shit dude, don't say that on the air. Match #2: Yoshihiro Tajiri [3] vs. Super Crazy [6] [Best of Forever Series - Match #10] This is their worst match together so far, since it was like 5 minutes total and held back as blatant set up for an angle. They did their cool low key type stuff without a finishing run, and there was a ref bump. Jerry Lynn came out to attack Tajiri, but Super Crazy pulled him back so he could. So Lynn hit him with the Cradle Piledriver, allowing Tajiri to hit a Standing Moonsault and win. GREAT WORK, JERRY. He is the opposite of Batman. He is the Andy of wrestlers. **1/4 Before the main event, Corino says it's time for Rhino to go from the greatest rookie to the Next Big Thing! Raven is in the back and stands up. In the back, Da Baldies jump Balls and Axl. Match #3: The Sandman vs. Rhino w/ Steve Corino & Jack Victory God damnit, I missed The Sandman. This isn't much, but he's so fun to watch. Corino gets involved, and then Justin Credible and Jason come out to interfere. Sandman gets caned in the back of the neck and that brings out Tommy Dreamer. He fights them, but Rhino gets involved again and it's like 5 on 2. Raven finally comes out and helps run off the heels, because only he can beat up Tommy and Sandman. They run them off and the match ends. ** Raven helps up Tommy, but Sandman then canes him in the face. He goes wild with the cane in spite of Tommy trying to pull him off. In the back, Raven says he did the right thing, and asks why Tommy let the drunk beat him up. He did the right thing. Why'd he let the drunk beat him up? It's like when he was 7 and he came home with an A- and his dad beat the crap out of him. He did the right thing. His mom said he's lucky that's all he did, and Tommy and his mom let that drunk beat him up. He keeps repeating that he did the right thing. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW Hardcore TV November 12th, 1999 Dayton, OH In the parking lot, Raven is sitting down, and Paul Heyman sits next to him. He asks why he ever brought The Sandman back, and says that drunk is going to drive him insane. Dreamer bitches about the team, and everyone's critical. He has to come up with something new every week, god damnit. He says he's as miserable as Raven is. Raven asks why he's telling him. Heyman says he doesn't know, and says "Quote the Heyman, nevermore." That was weird and awesome. Tommy's promo from TNN airs. Then the end of Sandman vs. Rhino, and Raven's post-match promo. Match #1: Rob Van Dam [c] vs. Little Guido [ECW Television Championship] Fonzie and Sal are on the floor. Your token obvious RVD defense, but this is at least a new match up. Joey tried to sell it like if RVD wrestled with Guido, he would lose the title because he's not a SHOOTAH like Guido, but RVD was just as good as Guido on the mat and probably carried him through it a little. RVD did his thing and it went on way too long. RVD hits the top rope Van Daminator and then the Five Star Frog Splash to retain. ** Match #2: Danny Doring/Roadkill vs. CW Anderson/Bill Wiles This is a dark match from N2R. Another good little Doring/Roadkill showcase they improve. CW Anderson again shows a lot. Doring hits a sweet Flying Legdrop, and Roadkill follows with the Flying Splash from the opposite side for the win. ** Match #3: Mike Awesome [c] w/ Judge Jeff Jones vs. Taz [ECW World Heavyweight Championship] This is Taz's last match in terms of airdate, I guess. And it is a MASSIVE disappointment. They get like 8 minutes tops and 5-6 of that is a shitty arena brawl. Lots a of generic clubbering and dragging each other around. ECW's all about accentuating positives and hiding negatives supposedly, but god damn, these matches accentuate negatives in the worst way. They do a few things back in the ring, and Awesome hits the Awesome Bomb through a table. Taz kicks out, but Awesome hits the Awesome Splash to win. **1/4 |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW on TNN November 19th, 1999 Binghamton, NY In the ring, Joey and Gertner open the show but Rhino comes out to interrupt. Joey announces the main event of Tommy & Raven vs. Credible & Rhino for the titles, and asks if they're the new Impact Players. Rhino says no, because Credible is like his partner Lance Storm, he's a pussy. He says they might be afraid of Tommy and Raven, but he's not afraid of anyone and he's gonna kick the shit out of both of them by himself for the titles. In the back, Tammy hits on Rhino and says they should go to the janitor's closet and negotiate. In the NYC subway, Angel and Devito of Da Baldies are looking for New Jack. Devito says their boys News and Skull are going to take out Balls and Axl in the ring tonight. Devito says he hears New Jack is back on the streets to get his edge back, but if he wants to come here tonight and they find his ass, they're gonna take him out. If they have to spend 20 years to take his ass out, it would be worth it. Match #1: Super Crazy vs. Jerry Lynn Joey says that in that tag later, the loser of the fall has to leave ECW. This is more of a Lynn match, which means a lot of stuff done without much thought or order. Steve Corino comes out and gets punched by the ref, and Tajiri then mists the ref. He hits Super Crazy with a Brainbuster, and Lynn covers after they leave for the win. ** In New York, Da Baldies get on the L train and Angel challenges New Jack to get them. He says they'll keep an EYE out for him. In the back, Steve Corino's head is taped up and he says he's dying. Jack Victory comes and gets a (sinister) minister. He says one line of Latin then makes up some words. Corino says he's healed and born again and leaves. Jack Victory says he just blew a million dollars and leaves. The minister calls him a shmuck and takes off the collar. He says this gig sucks, but it beans managing Mortis and Wrath. Match #2: Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney vs. Vito Logrosso/PN News [Loser of the Fall Leaves ECW] This absolutely happened! Short ROTTEN BALLS squash and Vito gets beat with the Nutcracker Suite so he can go to WCW. * In the back, Corino and Victory find Rhino with Chris Candido and Tammy. He says the plan's under control, and he's teaming with Chris now. Corino asks what about Credible, and Candido says he's better. Rhino says Tammy's a hell of a negotiator, and Corino shrugs while Victory nods and smiles. They kick the camera out. On the train, Devito has stolen some dude's wallet. They shit on Skull for being gone, and Angel challenges New Jack to meet him on the subway next week. Match #3: Raven/Tommy Dreamer [c] vs. Chris Candido/Rhino [ECW World Tag Team Championship] The usuals are on the floor. All the Candido stuff ruled, and Raven and Tommy actually work together at points. Rhino/Raven ruled and there was a catfight. Tommy hits Candido with the DDT for the win. **1/2 Corino, Rhino, and Victory attack post-match, along with Candido. The Sandman slowly comes out to sort of save and he runs them off. BUT RAVEN ATTACKS SANDMAN IN REVENGE! Tommy holds him back, and The Impact Players come from the crowd to attack them. Rhino gets back in and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORES Sandman. The Impact Players drop the phrase. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW Hardcore TV November 19th, 1999 Philadelphia, PA Match #1: Rob Van Dam [c] vs. Sabu [ECW Television Championship] Fonzie is obviously on the floor. This goes to a thirty minute draw AGAIN. They start with sloppy matworks and the traditional spotfest standoff. Ugh. Joey Styles yells, asking if it gets any better than this. IT GETS SO MUCH BETTER. They do some fun spots, but it's both way too long, and this entire style is getting old. RVD isn't changing it up much like he used to from 97-mid 99, and the style peaked with the RVD/Lynn stuff (Hardcore Heaven being the shitty exception). They also clip this a lot with commercials so we maybe get like 15-20 out of 30, and knowing ECW, that means the missing stuff was pretty bad. They randomly go back on the mat at the end before the bell rings. RVD gets on the mic and says between them there's something different, and he needs to beat his ass because he knows he can do it in five more minutes. Sabu hits him and they have a good five minutes that probably saves the match with cool chair stuff from Sabu. They go to another draw. An ECW on TNN recap airs. Back in the arena, RVD walks off with the belt, but Sabu dives on him. The bell rings and apparently it's ANOTHER overtime. They go back to random limb and matwork here and it's not particularly great and isn't sold. Sabu going for covers on everything and desperately hurling himself at RVD in new ways was cool, but the match ends again, and the ref walks out. ** Sabu gets hurt, and Fonzie raises both their hands. RVD applauds and goes for a handshake, but Sabu points up instead and gives RVD the finger. They want to fight again to end the show. They finally came through on my worst fear and gave the entire hour to RVD. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW on TNN November 26th, 1999 Chicago, IL In the ring, Joey and Gertner intro the show and they bring out Jerry Lynn to be their guest for some reason. Joey asks if he's in cahoots with Tajiri, and Jerry asks how he can question his integrity. He says "fuck you" and calls out Tajiri going into the intro. At the interview set, Joey Styles announces a six man rematch of the N2R six man and Rhino, Candido, and Tammy come over. Rhino says they promised him a warm up match and if he doesn't get one, he'll warm up all over his punk ass. He puts Tammy in the way and she says to give them 10 minutes to find someone. On a train platform in New York, New Jack curses a lot and says he doesn't see them anywhere. He gets on the train and says he's gonna find Angel and treat him like he's in prison. He says he's gonna put him down and make him his bitch and his name won't be Angel, it'll be some faggot named Leshawn, and he'll be his ho by the end of the night. He says he's not leaving New York until he finds them. Match #1: Rob Van Dam [c] w/ Bill Alfonso vs. CW Anderson [ECW Television Championship] The title is now announced to have a 60 minute time limit, five days after a thirty minute draw and then that's less than a year after RVD/Lynn was a twenty minute draw. This is actually pretty good though, as RVD does some cool new stuff and CW shows enough potential for 5 minutes. RVD wins with the Five Star Frog Splash. **1/4 On the subway, New Jack is still looking for Da Baldies and says they don't want none. In the ring, Sabu has come out and attacks RVD. They fight and the ref starts counting falls, so this is entirely unfair. Match #2: Rob Van Dam [c] vs. Sabu [ECW Television Championship] This is actually really good, but only like 5-6 minutes. They go wild with the spots and attempt absolutely nothing else, so it works really well. RVD has a great crowd dive, and Sabu does his thing. RVD trips Sabu as he tries to jump off a chair, and it causes Sabu's leg to go through it. RVD attacks the leg until Rhino and Candido come out. They clear off the heels, and RVD dives on them. He holds them for Sabu to do the same, but he can't run on the leg. RVD gets back in and goes after the leg again. He hits the Frog Splash to a chair over Sabu's knee and puts on a kind of Last Chancery to the leg. Fonzie throws the towel in, but Sabu throws it out. Fonzie walks around and throws it over Sabu to end the match. **3/4 On the subway system, New Jack is back on the platform and says he's gonna be on the #6 and tells them to come get him, because he'll be here all night until they do. Match #3: Super Crazy vs. Little Guido w/ Sal E. Graziano This is alright, but it's basically a Guido showcase and whatever to that. He comes back and there's a ref bump like 30 seconds into that. Tajiri comes out to attack him, but it brings out Jerry Lynn. He tries a clothesline, but Tajiri moves and he hits Crazy! Guido dropkicks Jerry out, and Tajiri hits Super Crazy with the Brainbuster. Lynn chases him away, but Guido covers to win. ** On the subway, New Jack is waiting. He gets off and a train passes by with Angel and Devito giving him the finger. Match #4: Raven/Tommy Dreamer/The Sandman vs. The Impact Players/Rhino Lots of people on the floor. This is a fun little 5 minute thing, but nothing great. Lots of finishers, a CATFIGHT~, etc. Sandman canes Raven on purpose after earlier miscommunication, and Credible crawls on top for the win. ** On the subway system, New Jack gets off and finds Devito on the platform. He challenges him, but Angel lays out New Jack with a weapon from behind. They say the city belongs to DA BALDIES. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW Hardcore TV November 26th, 1999 Chicago, IL In the back, Rhino says if you stand in his way, he'll gore you down. In the back, Joey Styles says Limp Bizkit and Steve Corino got into an altercation and promises video in the coming weeks. Match #1: Danny Doring/Roadkill vs. The Dupps The Dupps are the worst. Bo Dupp keeps itching his asshole. Doring and Roadkill do their thing and it's increasingly good. Doring's Flying Legdrop followed by Roadkill's Flying Splash gets the win. *1/2 They play the New Jack/Baldies segments from TNN throughout the show. Before his match, Diamond gets on the mic. DIAMOND HAS A PROBLEM. He says Dick and he come out here and have to listen to their opinion about their alternative lifestyle. LOOK AT SIMON'S BIG DICK. Match #2: Chris Candido vs. Simon Diamond Tammy and Dick are at ringside. The main value of this is all the puns Joey can make like "If anyone can handle Dick, it's Tammy" and "Tammy's seen enough of Simon's Dick for the night". Which makes me sad. This is basically a Candido showcase and he does hit thing before winning with the Diving Headbutt. ** Joey says the Durst/Corino incident will air on TNN this week. In the back, The Impact Players cut a promo. Dawn says Franny wants to be just like her, but she's all T & A. Except she has no ass. Lance says she does, she has Tommy. HA. Jason says that's a mighty big ass. Justin then drops his phrase to finish that, because that's literally all he knows how to say half the time. a RVD highlight reel airs. Match #3: Axl Rotten/Balls Mahoney vs. Angel/Tony Devito This was alright. Balls and Axl get to do their thing, and Da Baldies do alright for themselves, but this is 4 minutes so nothing's really going to be much good about this. They do the Rude/Warrior spot to get Da Baldies the win. *1/4 New Jack comes out and they kill Da Baldies for a while. They put New Jack on the stage on a table, and New Jack goes up in the balcony and does a dive off to put him through the table. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW Hardcore TV December 3rd, 1999 Philadelphia, PA A video on the Raven/Sandman history opens the show because they have a match on this episode! In the ring, Joey and Gertner intro the show, and they bring out The Impact Players. Credible says they're the World Tag Team Champions and Joey says that's jumping the gun. Credible says guys like Candido and Rhino take the bullet for guys like them, and that brings out Chris Candido and Rhino. He says he's only here because he carried Lance's stupid Canadian ass so he could carry him now, and says he and his friend Rhino are using them. Rhino wants to fight and it turns into a brawl that gets pulled apart. In the back at Peoria, IL, Steve Corino complains to Jack Victory that he can't concentrate because of the Limp Bizkit concert next door. He says Rhino's not paying attention to him, Tajiri lost at the pay per view, and he doesn't know what's going on, so he's going to go tell everyone in that stupid concert what he's all about. Victory refuses, so Corino storms off. The camera follows him and Corino says he hates Limp Bizkit. In the back, Joey says Tommy Dreamer is the referee for Raven/Sandman. Match #1: Super Crazy vs. Ikuto Hidaka HIDAKA! YEAH! Awesome 6 minute spotfest. Hidaka already has a ton of cool highspots and even when this is a Super Crazy showcase, he's the one who shined the most. Super Crazy catches him with a Liger Bomb, and then hits a Springboard Moonsault to win. *** In the concert hall, Steve Corino says he's not comedy hour and he's going to prove that he's a force to be taken seriously in ECW. Coming back, Corino is watching the concert from the crowd and yells about how horrible it is. In the back, Raven cuts a promo and now has muttonchops. He says the Sandman is an abusive drunk just like his father, and his father used to come home and beat the crap out of him and whip him and slap him. He says it's real tough to beat up a 7 year old kid, but that's his dad, he failed at everything in his life. He lost his mom and lost him, just like the Sandman lost his wife and kid. The only reason that bastard died when he did because he hadn't grown up and figured out how to kill him and get away with it. The Sandman isn't dead yet, but he's going to wish he was. Quote the Raven, nevermore. At the concert, Steve Corino takes the stage and insults a groupie, so he moons him. Durst says to shut the fuck up and Steve Corino introduces himself to the crowd as the King of Old School. He says each and every one of them watches him on ECW, which probably is a lie. He says all he could hear across the street was 15,000 drunk obnoxious idiots. Durst gets the crowd to yell "FUCK YOU". In the back, Cyrus asks Jerry Lynn what the deal with he and Tajiri is, because they can't have talent booking their own angles. Jerry says if he 's so smart, he can figure it out. Cyrus says to tell him, and Jerry says no and leaves. Okay then. Match #2: Raven vs. The Sandman [Special Referee: Tommy Dreamer] Fun under 10 minute thing. It's not particularly great as it's Sandman and Raven in 1999 ECW, but there's a lot of entertaining stuff with tables and chairs. Candido and Rhino come out, and they attack Dreamer. Sandman gets GORED through a table, but then Raven fights them off. Lori Fullington comes back during a double down, and she low blows Raven. But he fights back to hit the Evenflow, and the Impact Players come down to pull Tommy out of the ring. Raven dives on them to save, but back in, Sandman hits the White Russian Leg Sweep after Credible canes Raven from the other side, and Tommy counts to three. **1/2 At the concert, Axl and Balls also hit the stage and lay out Corino with chair shots. He blades. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW Hardcore TV December 3rd, 1999 Philadelphia, PA In the back, Danny Doring cuts a promo with some ugly Mexican girl lying on a crate behind him. He says he has to wonder how he scores so many beautiful women in so many towns like this and puts over her body. Roadkill looks for a place to stand, and puts his head between her knees. Doring feels her up and gets to the beard, and says to cut it out, because she's with the Danaconda. He carries her off, and Roadkill says CHIKENS. Match #1: Kid Kash/Nova vs. The Dupps GOD DAMNIT. Kid Kash officially has this gimmick, but I can't tell if it's good or bad because the fucking Dupps are here. They got like 10 minutes and most of the offense. I'm not actually watching this anymore. Sorry. The Candido/Rhino/Impact Players seg airs. The Corino/Limp Bizkit stuff airs. In the back, The Impact Players cut a promo. They call Candido a loser and themselves winners, and say Tammy is a hooker and Dawn Marie is hot as hell. Lance says Rhino can have the choice to switch teams now and be smart about it, or switch teams later and feel the impact. Catchphrase. Before the match, RVD sees Sabu watching on the stage. He calls him out there and says he'd love to give him another shot, but he can't even walk. Sabu is held back by everyone and RVD dedicates this match to him. He says this goes out to the homicidal, suicidal, FRAGILE, FUCK UP OF A PARTNER, FONZIE'S FRIEND AND THE SECOND FAVORITE WRESTLER OF THE SHEIK, SABU! Match #2: Rob Van Dam [c] w/ Bill Alfonso vs. Uganda [ECW Television Championship] Solid enough RVD showcase. Uganda's power and fat brings a little something new to the usual proceedings. RVD does some new stuff to deal with it too, and they fight up to the stage. RVD puts him on a table and climbs up to the high stage, but Sabu throws a chair at him and puts Uganda through the table just as a "fuck you" on one leg. Fonzie keeps them apart barely, and it goes back to the ring. RVD hits the Van Darninator and hits the Four and a Half Star Frog Splash to win. **1/2 |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW on TNN December 10th, 1999 Atlanta, GA The RVD/Sabu stuff from the ECW Arena show opens the show, in highlight form. Then Corino/Fred Durst again. In the ring, Joey and Gertner are with Corino and Jack Victory. Corino says he proved that not only is hardcore wrestling bad, but hardcore music is even worse. He says The Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, and his favorite, Britney Spears, are all acceptable real musicians and not generated to high school dropouts like ECW fans. He says there's one man that was stupid enough to start the hardcore revolution and that man is Dusty Rhodes! YES! He's in the crowd near the back and Corino thanks Dusty for ruining each and every one of these people's lives because 90% of them are probably drunk right now. Dusty leaves and Corino says he left his spine at the last place he killed. Dusty comes down the ramp and Joey tries to tell him to ignore Corino. He says he's a big boy and he's beaten everyone up in the last year and he won't let an old fossil push him around. Corino says this isn't 1985 and he's not the Bull of the Woods in his territory. He asks if he has anything to say now, but says he didn't think so. He says he has no respect for him and says to look at him when he's talking, AND DUSTY GOES WILD ON CORINO AND VICTORY WITH THE ELBOWS. BIONIC ELBOW! FLIP FLOP AND FLY! YEAH! TONIGHT: SANDMAN VS. CREDIBLE! In the back, Justin Credible says when you're a master, it's not hard to figure out. He says he's the master of the Singapore cane and he's the only true Hardcore Icon. He beat him once and he'll beat him again, and he'll do it all by himself. He says he doesn't need anybody's help. Lance says just because they run together doesn't mean they can't stand alone. Being Impact Players is who they are and what they do. Justin says to COME AND GET SOME. CATCHPHRASE. Match #1: Spike Dudley vs. Uganda DICK KICK. ACID DROP. WIN. HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHWAY TO HELL In the back, RVD cuts a promo. He says back when he and Sabu were partners and he carried him, he never liked sharing the ring with him. He's always in the spotlight, and Sabu had to keep getting in the way and casting a shadow in his spotlight. He says it was a pleasure sending him out of Chicago with an injury and he knows he's not gone for long, but he'll keep beating his ass. He says he's not going to take this from him like everyone else has been trying to do for 2 years. He's Mr. PPV, The Sheik's favorite, and the Whole Fucking Show. Match #2: Mike Awesome [c] vs. 2 Cold Scorpio [ECW World Heavyweight Championship] Jazz is with 2 Cold, and as always, JJJ is with Awesome. This is Awesome's first "real" match for the title, structure wise, since it's either been squashes or these bombfests, so it's nice to see him capable of this type of thing. Of course, it's Scorpio in there, and he's a top 5 wrestler in ECW history and can get a great match in any style out of anybody, so it's hard to tell who's more responsible. Scorp has awesome highspots and dies on all the bumps to get Awesome even more over. Some great nearfalls, and Awesome hits a top rope Awesome Bomb through a table to win. ***1/4 Before the main event, Jason announces that they have the only Singapore Cane in the building tonight. Match #3: The Sandman vs. Justin Credible w/ Jason Solid 5-6 minutes. Nothing great, but nothing horrible. Sandman Sandman's it up, which is always entertaining. Sandman is in a Sleeper in front of a corner table, and Rhino comes out AND GORES BOTH SANDMAN AND CREDIBLE THROUGH THE TABLE! He leaves and Jason comes in with the cane. He misses and Sandman gets the White Russian Legsweep to regain the cane. He goes for it on Credible, but he has a chair and this somehow blocks it. He holds it up in front of Sandman and Lance runs out to hit a Missile Dropkick into the chair into his face. Credible covers to win. GOD DAMNIT REACT TO HIM ALREADY SO THIS FUCKING PUSH STOPS. **1/4 Tommy Dreamer comes out to save, but he gets laid out. Catchphrase. This is becoming tiresome. |

Ikuto Hidaka vs. Tom Marquez is happening, but Raven comes out and beats up them both. He throws a bunch of chairs in the ring and hits Marquez with the drop toe hold into the chair. He brings Hidaka back in to hit the Evenflow, and Joey yells that Raven finally snapped. ECW GUILTY AS CHARGED: JANUARY 9TH! Corino/Durst video AGAIN. Match #1: Super Crazy vs. Super Calo YEAH! SUPER CALO! DEM SUNGLASSES. He's not amazing or anything, but he's good enough to hang in there with Super Crazy long enough for them do to a nice little US style lucha match with constant motion and tons of highspots. CALO DOES A HILO OVER THE TOP TO THE FLOOR ONTO A DOWN SUPER CRAZY! They do more stuff, and Calo gets hit with the Liger Bomb. Crazy then hits the triple Moonsaults for the win. **3/4 In the back, Bill Alfonso is about to say how he'll fix the problems in his camp, but then Francine runs over and says to go get someone. Tommy runs into the locker room as Raven is banging his head against the wall. He yells to stop and that he did the right thing and he's come so far. SUNSHINE NETWORK PRESENTS THE FACTS ABOUT Y2K: COMING UP ON THE NEWS! In the back, The Impact Players cut a promo. Lance says all the old guns are terrified. The Sandman wants to regain a gimmick, Raven and Tommy are terrified of the titles, and Chris Candido wants to regain a name for himself by dragging along Rhino who wants to make a name for himself, both coming for the Impact Players. Credible says they're the hottest commodity in pro wrestling and they got their asses kissed by the suits in the CNN center, and corporate wrestling makes him sick. Lance just shrugs. AMAZING. Catchphrase. The RVD promo from TNN airs. Match #2: Rob Van Dam [c] w/ Bill Alfonso vs. Tracy Smothers w/ Tommy Rich [ECW Television Championship] FUCK YEAH THE REAL FBI IS BACK! This is obviously a token RVD defense and showcase, but Tracy is the best of all the non-serious defenses recently. He added a wonderful element of old school legitimacy to RVD's stuff as it actually baffled him and he did all this awesome basic stuff so RVD stood out more. Tracy is the best. Some cool finishing stuff, and RVD hits the top rope Van Daminator and Four and One Quarter Star Frog Splash to win. **1/2 |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW on TNN December 17th, 1999 Richmond, VA In the back, The Impact Players say they have to beat Candido and Rhino tonight to earn a title shot, and that's ridiculous. Lance says since they do, they're going to victimize his old friend Chris Candido. And since Rhino decided to stand in front of them instead of beside them, he's in the way. Dawn says Tammy's been victimizing herself for years. Lance says they're not just looking past them, they're looking through them. Credible says on January 9th, they FINALLY become the World Tag Team Champions. Catchphrase. In the back, Chris Chetti wants to wrestle, but Nova says his back is still hurt. He says he's the one who picked Kid Kash to replace him until he can wrestle again. Chetti tells Kash not to screw it up and leaves. He turns around and accuses Kash of looking at his ass, and says he could turn a straight man gay. He leaves and Kash asks what that was. Nova says he got dropped on his head a lot. Plus, his family's crazy. In the ring, Da Baldies say the streets of Virginia belong to DA BALDIES. Devito issues an open challenge and New Jack comes out. Match #1: New Jack vs. Tony Devito w/ Da Baldies This is maybe two minutes tops and New Jack wins with EL KABONG~ * New Jack pulls out a fork, but News and Angel attack to save. They hold New Jack back and Angel pulls out the gun, AND STAPLES NEW JACK'S EAR! AWESOME! Coming back, Devito challenges someone to fight their new and totally unannounced replacement for News, Vic Grimes, AND MIKE AWESOME COMES OUT. Match #2: Mike Awesome [c] vs. Vic Grimes [ECW World Heavyweight Championship] GREAT Awesome showcase, since Grimes being a bigger guy makes Awesome's power spots so much more impressive. Awesome also dispatches the other two Baldies when they try to interfere. Awesome just about murders Vic Grimes with the Awesome Bomb through a table on the floor and pins him in the ring to win. ** Judge Jeff Jones gets on the mic and says he is the most awesome giant, champion, and man in professional wrestling. BUT SPIKE DUDLEY COMES OUT. HE SAID GIANT. FUCK YES. SPIKE GETS A DICK KICK AND THE ACID DROP. FUCK YEAH SPIKE DUDLEY! Spike leaves, and Awesome gets up and is infuriated. In the bathroom, Danny Doring says he doesn't care about Nova's new partner or Chetti's back, because tonight, he cashes in on the fringe benefits of being a wrestler and Random Latina With Huge Tits comes in wearing a towel. She walks away and throws the towel at him, and he says here comes the Danaconda. He goes over, but Francine is going to try and shower. She sees Doring about to enter a stall, and says to tell her when she's done, because she doesn't want to hear anything when she showers. She leaves and the other girl asks who that was. Doring says nobody, and the girl says if she catches him looking at another girl, she'll cut off the Danaconda. Roadkill pops out from the next stall and says CHICKENS. Match #3: Ikuto Hidaka vs. Super Calo vs. Tom Marquez Why is Tom Marquez there? Where the fuck is Tajiri? This is his spot. Or not, because ninety seconds in, Sabu comes out on a crutch and kills them all with it and a chair. 45/Poop Sabu puts all three through the same table. Match #4: The Impact Players vs. Chris Candido/Rhino [#1 Contender's Match] Everyone is on the floor. Candido/Lance is a wonderful match up yet again and they get probably a majority of the match to shine, making this great. Rhino is already good enough that he and Credible are about the same level of skill. It breaks down and a catfight occurs. Credible canes Candido in the back and then Lance dodges Rhino, AND RHINO GORES CANDIDO! Lance hits him with a Superkick and Candido gets covered by Credible for the win. **3/4 Candido and Rhino argue to the back. Lance gets on the mic and say they can't be denied any longer and says Justin Credible being the hardcore icon also can't be denied. The Sandman comes out and everyone bails but Jason. Sandman canes Jason in the face and then on the mat, but Justin Credible comes back around and canes Sandman from behind. Lance sets up a table in the corner but Credible misses with the cane and hits Lance! Sandman hits Credible with the White Russian Legsweep, BUT RHINO IS BACK AND GORES SANDMAN THROUGH THE TABLE! In the back, Raven is talking to someone. He says he needs him to understand that he's trying so hard to do the right thing, and says it's Tommy. He says if this doesn't work out, he's not going to fight him again because it took too much out of him the first time and after everything, he's not doing it again. He says the funny thing is, he always figured he'd lure Tommy over to his side, but it ended up the other way. He says he needs them to understand that he'll be there and he's trying, but the camera pans back to reveal that it's just Francine there. |

ECW World Heavyweight Champion: Mike Awesome, Since 9/19/1999 ECW Television Champion: Rob Van Dam, Since 4/4/1998 - LONGEST REIGNING CURRENT CHAMPION ECW World Tag Team Champions: Raven/Tommy Dreamer, Since 8/26/1999 ECW Hardcore TV December 17th, 1999 Richmond, VA In the back, Tommy Dreamer is standing while Raven is on the couch. He says he's been trying to talk to him for 20 minutes and he won't open his mouth, look at him, take off his sunglasses, and he's trying to talk about the PPV. Raven says to get out of his way because he's blocking the view. Tommy leaves, and the camera reveals that Raven's just watching static on the TV. CW Anderson comes out with Lou E. Dangerously for his match. Joey says CW is the Enforcer of Lou's Dangerous Alliance. Lou says this is not a tribute to Paul, and Paul is as useless as a woman from Virginia. Match #1: Mikey Whipwreck vs. CW Anderson w/ Lou E. Dangerously this is fun. Mikey is good as always, and CW does well for himself using lots of interference. Anderson embraces the name by going after the arm, and Mikey takes some awesome arm bumps. ANDERSON DOES THE SPINEBUSTER! YEAH! Lou accidentally hits CW with the cell phone and Mikey hits a rolling Whippersnapper to win. **1/4 The end of TNN's main event and the post-match airs. In the back, Rhino says he doesn't respect The Sandman and he's not too impressed with what he's done since he's been back. He's put him through a table so many times that it's starting to lose its satisfaction, and he'll be the first of many to remember the name Rhino. In the back, Joey announces that the PPV will take place from Birmingham, AL. In the ring, Simon Diamond has the mic and he has a problem. He says his closer personal friend, Hertz, is not with him tonight, so it means he's Dickless. Match #2: Simon Diamond vs. Jazz Awful. Diamond wins with a fireman's carry dropped down and then hit with a Reverse DDT. 1/2* To hype Awesome/Tanaka on TNN this week, they air their N2R match in full. |
