Match #1: Sami Zayn/Tyson Kidd vs. Antonio Cesaro/Leo Kruger

This was decent, but nothing more. Cesaro and Sami barely get to do anything and Kidd is working 95% of this. He has lost like a million steps because of knee surgery, and while it's sad, it's something that we all need to acknowledge so he can stop getting these kinds of matches that could go to better and more athletic and more over people. Sami gets in for a like a minute and after a shitty Tope Con Hello from Kidd to Cesaro, Sami hits Leo with the Helluva Kick to win.
**

In the back, Nattie is watching and Emma dances. Nattie says to watch her dancing and says she's watching Tyson's match, Well, no. It's over now. Emma says she's changed since she got famous, and accuses her of vulturing a title shot now that she's famous. Nattie says she won a title shot through dancing, so she can shut up and do her silly dancing. Emma says dancing is in her blood and Nattie says wrestling is in hers. Emma check mates her by saying wrestling brought her to the dance, so bam. Nattie says she would love to tango with her and find out who deserves the next title shot. Emma dances and Nattie leaves. What a bitch.

Match #2: Paige vs. Sasha Banks w/ Summer Rae
This is another one of those NXT womens matches that is good, but super short and held back by that. Basic stuff down well, a few nice spots, etc. Sasha accidentally hits Summer and then Paige wins with the Paige Turner.
*1/2

One of the best NXT segments of all time airs with Enzo, Cass, and Aiden: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd97LapDpvw

The Ascension has their open challenge AND GOD DAMNIT, I HAVE TO GIVE HIM MORE POINTS. FUCK.

Posted Image

It's "The American Pitbulls". Nope.

Match #3: The Ascension vs. The American Wolves
This is the only match the Wolves have in WWE. It's their tryout and they look super polished compared to everyone and great, but Victor drops Davey on his head accidentally and they get blamed for it. WWE also gets mad because they don't immediately finish after that because Davey wasn't that badly hurt and they wanted to do the actual finish. It turns out Davey's stated he didn't want to sign anyways and wanted to take the TNA deal, and Eddie was the one who really wanted this. Poor Eddie. He deserves to be in a real company and finally free of this fucking anchor. Oh well. Davey gets beaten with the Fall of Man after a good finishing run.
**

Post-match, they hit Eddie with it too.

NEXT WEEK: REGAL/CESARO

Match #4: Bo Dallas [c] vs. Adrian Neville [NXT Championship - Lumberjack Match]
Again, this is absolutely a match that takes place. Bo is whatever, and it's also a lumberjack match, and those almost always suck. Neville hits Tyler Breeze on the floor at a point in one of the lumberjack messes early on. Bo tries to bail at the end, and Neville dives onto him and everyone. He takes him back in and tries the Red Arrow, but Tyler pulls Bo away from it, and Bo then covers Neville after he misses and gets the pin.

WWE Smackdown
December 20th, 2013
San Antonio, TX

Randy Orton comes out to open the show, and he says some stuff. He brags about beating John Cena to become Champion of Champions and John Cena comes out. Orton goes on about how he beat John and it's his spotlight now. Cena says he's not out here for that and says their match at TLC was historic because he unified the titles and everyone should envy him and he's now the center of the WWE. That means everyone is watching every little thing he does and he can't get away with being lazy or pulling his tricks anymore, and says this is his chance to either be remembered as a great champion or as a giant coward who escaped with the title. Cena says Daniel Bryan beat him AGAIN and he thought Randy was back for good at TLC, but then it all went away a day later when he took the easy way out. Orton says Bryan won't get any more rematches and he doesn't deserve it. Daniel Bryan comes out and says he gets it. He's afraid of him and can't beat him and when he DOES beat him, he's going to tear down all those myths Randy's been told for 10 years about how special he is. HE IS NOT BETTER THAN HIM, AND HE DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE THE WORLD CHAMPION. Bryan says when John Cena gets his rematch, he'll win and give him the title shot he deserves. Orton says that won't ever happen and The Authority won't let it happen and they know he is superior and the face of the WWE. Bryan asks if he really is and the fans NO. The Shield comes out and Orton slides out. CM Punk comes out to even it up though, and The Shield stays on the floor. Vickie comes out and books The Shield vs. Cena, Punk, and Bryan. HNGH.

Match #1: Big E. Langston vs. Jack Swagger
This happens for two minutes. It's not as good as their PPV match in 2014 since Big E. isn't taking his insane PPV bumps here. Cesaro and Mark Henry are both on the floor. Mark cuts off Cesaro's interference and Big E. wins with the Big Ending.
3/4*

Match #2: Brie Bella vs. Tamina

BTB and AJ are on the floor, and AJ does commentary. This is terrible apart from DAT SUPERKICK from Tamina. Brie then sort of gets her knees up on the Dad Splash and covers to win.
1/2*

Post-match, Brie and Nikki push AJ out of her chair at ringside and quickly celebrate to the back. Terrible terrible people.

Match #3: Sin Cara II vs. Drew McIntyre
This is pretty great, as tends to happens when great wrestlers face each other. It's only like 90 seconds, but it's awesome for what it gets. Drew has some great kicks and Sin Cara does fancier lucha than he did before he had that tattoo. Curious. Senton Bomb gets the win.
*3/4

Match #4: Tensai vs. Brodus Clay

TENSAI EXPLODES WITH ANGER! It's the best he's looked in like a year and a half since his push died in 2012. Brodus hits two big splashes, but Xavier Woods comes out with the women and Tensai schoolboys him to win. Shame that was only also ninety seconds.
*

Post-match, Xavier Woods runs off Brodus and dance.

Match #5: DEM FIGHTING RHODES BOYS vs. The Wyatt Family w/ Bray Wyatt
This is better than their last one, as this is more of a slugfest. Brodie vs. Goldust punch offs are the absolute best. Rowan does his job as your powerhouse, and Cody tries his hand too. Cody has an awesome hot tag after the usually incredible FIP run from Dustin. Goldust takes out Rowan on the floor with his flip dive off the apron, but Brodie wipes out Goldust with the bewt. Bray shoves Cody into the post and back inside though, and Harper hits the Discus Lariat to win.
***

Bray comes in post-match, but Daniel Bryan runs out and clears the ring.

There is a Sadnow/Miz mic thing, which I skipped.

Match #6: The Miz vs. Damien Sadnow
This is horrible, but at least under two minutes. Sandow wins with a schoolboy with the tights.
1/2*

Match #7: Kofi Kingston vs. Fandango w/ Summer Rae

HEY WHAT THE FUCK, SMACKDOWN? THIS IS ALSO HORRIBLE. Kofi botches stuff and looks horribly doing all of his high flying, and Summer interferes. Fandango wins with the Flying Legdrop.
1/2*

In the back, The Wyatt Family attacks Bryan before the main event. Bray says they could have been friends, and Bryan tries to fight, so Bray and Rowan take him backwards near a loading dock AND THROW HIM OFF THE EDGE. ASHES. ASHES. THEY ALL FALL DOWN.

Match #8: John Cena/CM Punk vs. The Shield
This could have been a bunch better with Bryan in there. Cena's taking it easy on a b-show and Punk is late 2013 Punk, and the Shield aren't given a ton to work with there, but Bryan vs. Shield is always magic. Cena is isolated and it's not the best Shield work ever. Cena has an awesome comeback though at least and Punk has a rare hot tag where he's actually trying. The Shield all gang up on Punk and that's a flimsy excuse for the DQ.
**1/4

They beat them down, and Big E. Langston runs to save. The faces run off The Shield.

WWE Raw Christmas
December 23rd, 2011
Austin, TX

TONIGHT: MOK CLAUS VS. SADNOW CLAUS

The Authority and Kane come out and have an intern holding a sack of gifts for Kane to pass out to fans. They get to the ring and put over Christmas and announce The Wyatts vs. Bryan/DFRB and a main event of the Shield vs. Cena, Punk, and Big E. Langston. Randy Orton comes out and thanks them for all their support and says their faith in him inspired his performance at TLC and he's in a very good mood. He says he has a Christmas present for them and it's that he is the WWE World Champion. Their smiles clearly fade and Triple H has this look of "God damnit, Randy." that is one of the best looks he has in his arsenal. He thanks them for the night off, and leaves. Kane wishes a Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night, and lights off pyro.

AJ Lee is on commentary again.

Match #1: The Bella Twins/The Funkadactyls/Natalya/Eva Marie vs. Vickie Guerrero/Kaitlyn/Foxana/Summer Rae/Tamina [Christmas Costume Match]
This is whatever. Too short with too many people to be anything more than an excuse to put a bunch of divas in Christmas attire. Natalya makes Aksana tap out to the Sharpshooter.
45/Poop

Match #2: Sin Cara II vs. Curtis Axel

Another quality Hunico showcase. Axel is absolutely just a dude again and this is needlessly five minutes so we can pretend Curtis Axel is still a thing. Sin Cara wins again with a Senton Bomb.
*1/2

THE RARE SMOCKDAWN REBOUND

In the back, Sadnow terrorizes children, and whatever.

BATISTA RETURNS: JANUARY 20TH!

A video airs of earlier today, where Bad News Barrett was downtown ringing a bell for donations.

Match #3: Daniel Bryan/DEM FIGHTING RHODES BOYS vs. The Wyatt Family
This is fantastic. It got 15+ minutes and had the multiple control segment deal going for it, so I loved it. Goldust had a great FIP segment, and all three Wyatts are pretty awesome in their roles at this point. Rowan is willing to work stiff at points and Harper is the best big man in the company. Bryan has an amazing hot tag again, but gets distracted by Bray, and Rowan runs him down. They isolate Bryan next and that's also awesome. This time there's a lot more Bray in, and he has some really violent seeming stuff. Cody is in last for another great hot tag. Really well laid out finishing run. Bryan hits Bray with the Tope, and then is hurled into the barricade by Rowan. Goldust hits the flip dive to Rowan, and Cody hits Harper with the Disaster kick in the ring. Bray's made the blind tag though and hits Cody with Sister Abigail to win.
***

Post-match, Rowan throws Bryan in and they beat on him.

More footage airs of Wade accepting money for charity.

There is a singing contest, and whatever.

Match #4: Dolph Ziggler vs. Fandango w/ Summer Rae [IC Title #1 Contender's Match - Christmas Present on a Pole Match]
This is a mess as with all pole matches. Fandango wins clean after knocking Ziggler to the floor, because fuck Dolph Ziggler's career for whatever stupid and ultimately true thing he said on Twitter or in a media interview this week.
*1/2

Match #5: The Usos vs. The Prime Time Players

THE TWO YEAR BATTLE CONTINUES. This is very much just a match that happens. PTP mostly blend in aside from a Titus chant and then the Usos have their whole deal and win with the Flying Splash.
**

Match #6: Mark Henry Claus vs. Damien Sadnow Claus [BATTLE FOR CHRISTMAS]

MOK basically squashes evil boring Santa and everything is great. Santa's Strongest Slam wins. This was no Santahiro Tajiri vs. Bubba Claus.
*

In the back, Renee interviews CM Punk. He says he asked Santa for two partners against The Shield, and Mark's come through with Big E. Langston. He comes in and says this year, he's handing out beatings. Punk then brings in John Cena, and it kills me to see them being best friends now. Cena says Big E will release The Langston, and he's found the Christmas list of The Shield. All Roman wants is for his teeth to be knocked in, Rollins wants an attitude adjustment, and all Ambrose wants is to go to sleep. He says to believe in that.

Before the next match, Zeb says Santa Claus is an illegal immigrant.

Match #7: The Real Americans vs. Los Matadores
Zeb and El Torito are here. Again, not enough Cesaro and it's only a few minutes. The bull gores Cesaro in the stomach post match, and one of them beats Swagger with a Crossbody.
*1/4

Match #8: Ryback vs. Kofi Kingston

This is not going to result in points or any kind of positive feelings, so why even bother? Ryback wins.

At ringside, Bad News Barrett has the collection and says he's been out all day raising money from the residents of this fine city. And their generation has raised thousands and thousands of dollars BUT HE'S AFRAID HE'S GOT SOME BAD NEWS. FUCK YEAH. See, he's not affiliated with any charities so this money is coming home with him. It's going to be a very happy holiday season at the Barrett household.

Match #8: John Cena/CM Punk/Big E. Langston vs. The Shield
This was a house show kind of deal as in 2013, the WWE reverted to their fun time killing in the second half of December like they had from 1997-2001. That being said, it's a lot better of a house show deal than on Smackdown and ends up being a low level great match. Cena has a good FIP segment to begin, and then Punk has a solid hot tag. He gets cut off for the longer control seg, and Big E. has a killer hot tag. Big finishing run and Big E. hits Ambrose with the Big Ending. Reigns and Ambrose both save and that's somehow a DQ. At least use a fucking weapon or something to earn the DQ, that was ridiculous.
***

The faces run them off post-match, because Christmas.

WWE NXT
December 25th, 2013
Orlando, FL

This is mostly a clip show, except for Regal/Cesaro.

In a pretape, Antonio Cesaro cuts a promo. He says out of the small crop of wrestlers he admired, Regal was the only one he ever truly respected. His ruthlessness and evil genius was an inspiration for his whole career and he was so happy when he helped him get his job here in the WWE, but just because he did that and knows him very well, he had to know that this day would come. The day where there's only room for one of them, and that's the younger, stronger, and far, far better man.

In a pretape, William Regal cuts a promo. He says he's in the late autumn of his thirty year career and he's been pondering over his legacy lately. What's it all been about? He's a vicious, sadistic, and spiteful fighter. He's been a unique entertainer. He never achieved the one thing that he coveted the most, and that was to become the World Heavyweight Champion, but that's his fault. Because he has a wonderful knack for getting himself into a lot of trouble. But for the people who really know, he's always been a second to none world class technical wrestler. That was until Antonio Cesaro came along. Because even on his best day, he's ten times the wrestler and fighter that he's ever been and he knows that and that's what this is really all about. He has an intense desire to prove it and he's going into this match knowing the only chance he has of surviving or winning it is a miracle, and that's not coming to a faithless old villain like himself. He's not worried or scared, and in fact, he's relishing the thought. He's going to compete with every drop of violent venom that he's got left, and if this is the end, he can't thing of a more noble way to go.

Match #1: Antonio Cesaro vs. William Regal
As of July 7th, 2014, this is Regal's last televised match to date. He steps in there with probably the second best wrestler in the WWE and arguably the best, and Regal STILL looks like a top five wrestler in the world. Another god damned classic here. You get the super awesome matwork with a ton of struggle. Regal is better than Cesaro expected so he goes to the power to take over. He works on Regal's knee with some awesome work, and there's again struggle over every little thing. Regal tries his uppercuts to come back, but Cesaro smokes him with his superior ones, SO REGAL ATTACKS BOTH BICEPS! FUCK YEAH! CESARO IS HANDICAPPED WITHOUT IT, AND REGAL SETS UP FOR THE KNEE TREMBLER, BUT HE CAN'T RUN AND CESARO HEADBUTTS HIM IN THE CHIN. FUCK. Regal almost pulls off both the Tiger Bomb and Regal Stretch, but Cesaro barely blocks them before he gets Regal down and hits a nasty Double Stomp to the head. Cesaro then eventually hits the Neutralizer for the win. Perfect retirement match if that's what this ends up being.

WWE Smackdown
December 27th, 2013
Corpus Christi, TX

Match #1: The Usos vs. The Wyatt Family w/ Bray Wyatt

This is basically a two minute sprint and it's SO good. Constant action since they basically just decide to do a finishing run as the entire match. Harper hits the Discus Lariat followed by Rowan's Big Splash to win.
*1/2

John Cena comes next and for some reason, he starts giving his traditional New Years' promo with a bunch of resolutions, despite that it's not 2014 and that a December 30th Raw would be infinitely more appropriate for that. Anyways, he wants a rematch with Randy Orton and calls him out. Instead, The Shield comes out. Big E. Langston comes to save, but since CM Punk isn't here tonight, Mark Henry comes out instead and they hold off The Shield. Kane comes out and says they have issues to settle and books Cena/Rollins, Ambrose/Langston, and Reigns/MOK!

BIG DAVE: JANUARY 20TH!

Match #2: Antonio Cesaro vs. Cody Rhodes
Everyone is on the floor, and this is an enjoyable four minutes. Cesaro again gets the best out of somebody and it ends disappointingly with a schoolboy from Cesaro after Swagger distracts Cody.
**

Match #3: Rybaxel vs. The Prime Time Players

OH MY GOD FUCK YOU. This one somehow gets five minutes because someone confused this with Usos/Wyatts apparently. It's pretty terrible as PTP are solid against great teams and terrible against terrible teams. Ryback and Axel are a terrible team and super fucking boring and dull. Nothing they do is good. Darren rolls up Curtis to win, because that's how matches end tonight.
3/4*

Match #4: Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler

This gets 10ish minutes, so this one is great. Ziggler gets a shot at the top heel so he, in typical Dolph Ziggler fashion, goes apeshit with the bumping and offense to try and make a statement that he belongs in the main event. It's a statement nobody is listening to or cares about, but the statement obviously lands because this is awesome. Good foundations and then there's a killer finishing run. Orton brings back one of his best ORTONLOCKS in a while during the contol. Stuff happens and Orton eventually catches the RKOUTTANOWHERE to win.
***

They randomly replay the Divas debacle from Raw.

In the back, The Shield cuts a promo. Ambrose says this is an evolutionary machine and they will continue to wreak havoc in 2014. He says Langston got a little taste of The Shield, and tonight he's bitten off more than he can chew. Reigns says tonight, Mark Henry steps into his ring and he gives pain a whole new meaning. Rollins says that brings them to John Cena, who believes in hustle, loyalty, and respect. He believes that there is nothing more important than putting his boot in the back of his head. Believe in that. And believe in The Shield.

Match #5: Daniel Bryan vs. Damien Sadnow
Four minute showcase for D-Bry. Sadnow makes sure to make his brief control segment super boring before Bryan comes back and he wins with The Knee.
*3/4

Match #6: Big E. Langston vs. Dean Ambrose

Cena, MOK, and the other two Shield guys are at ringside. This one is only three minutes, so it's not what it could be. Still, both men work pretty hard so it's an enjoyable few moments before it breaks down. Big E. wins with the Big Ending.
*3/4

Match #7: Mark Henry vs. Roman Reigns

Good power fight. As a Samoan, Roman is the only one who can headbutt MOK. He also pulls off a Samoan Drop or just Drop later on that's super impressive. He gets the Superman Punch after that and then the Spear for the win.
**

Match #8: John Cena vs. Seth Rollins

This one is the best of the bunch. It's one of those matches where Cena tries super hard to make someone look awesome in a loss. Rollins does his control segment that's full of basic stuff but actual good basic stuff that looks mean and nasty. This shows signs of his current problem where he has trouble filling space in a singles environment, but Cena comes back before he can be exposed too bad, and the finishing run is pretty awesome. The faces cut off Ambrose and Reigns' interference and Cena catches Rollins off the top and adjusts to hit the FU to win.

CM Punk comes out to open the show and gets on the mic. He says a year ago, he was in the middle of his WWE Title reign, and 2013 hasn't been the best year all around. He lost to The Rock and The Undertaker, and then got rid of Paul Heyman, and he's had his problems with The Shield. He says they've had a great 2013 too and he calls them out because he has a challenge. The Shield comes down to ringside and Punk says he wants to face the best member of The Shield. Ambrose tries it, but Punk says he's beaten him and he's the weak link, and tells Rollins and Reigns to decide which of them is the best. AMAZING. They argue and Maddox comes out and puts Rollins in.

Match #1: CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins w/ The Shield
This is terrible. This is sloppy and awkward and kind of slow and it was such a mess that Punk actually went on Twitter and apologized for the match. There's a few nice moments and the finishing run is good, but this just didn't work. It happens sometimes, but you hate to see it. I blame Seth Rollins and Andy and Shawn Michaels and gypsies. Punk catches Seth on a springboard, sort of, and hits the GTS for the win.
**

In the back, Bryan goes up to The Authority and Maddox and says he wants Bray Wyatt. Maddox books Bryan against Harper and then if he wins, he can face Rowan, and if he wins, then he can get Bray Wyatt. Stephanie says that's good, and says to watch as she announces the Royal Rumble main event.

Stephanie comes onto the stage and announces Orton/Cena for the title at the Rumble and it can only end in pinfall or submission. OH JOY.

BIG DAVE TISTA: JANUARY 19th + 1

Match #2: Dolph Ziggler vs. Curtis Axel
Ziggler gets to win again as a reward for SD, I guess? This is not good. Axel does too much control stuff for a four minute match, and Ziggler hits the PEACE ZIG OUTTA NOWHERE for the win.
*1/2

There's a voting match to see who beats Sadnow tonight, but it's between Kofi. Khali, and Miz. GROSS. SO GROSS.

Match #3: Big E. Langston [c] vs. Fandango w/ Summer Rae [WWE Intercontinental Championship]
This didn't need 10 minutes because there's no chance at all that Fandango will win, but he has some nice offense and Big E does his thing. The Fandango randomly started trying knee work halfway through and it sucked. Big E's legs might be too big for Fandango to apply any sort of good looking holds n them. Big E.'s weakness in that he refuses to sell limbs is finally exposed too, so thanks Fandango. Fucking moron. Big E makes his comeback anyways, and wins with the Big Ending.
*3/4

NEXT WEEK ON OLD SCHOOL RAW: PUNK/REIGNS

featured a segment in which Booker T brought out a large portion of the roster, who blew noise makers and wore party hats in celebration of the new year; as he prepared to do a New Year's Spinaroonie, Wade Barrett interrupted from an elevated podium nearby and talked about all the reasons 2014 would be more bad news for the wrestlers and the fans

In the back, Sadnow says he will quit if he can't win tonight and end the year on a high note. GROSS HE'S WINNING SOMETHING. BOO.

Khali is voted in.

Match #4: Damien Sandow vs. The Great Khali
This is super terrible. It makes sense because Khali is terrible and Sandow is totally just a dude. He sends Khali into the top buckle and gets a schoolboy to win, despite Khali's shoulder clearly being up for the entire count. Great work on all accounts. Shame Khali didn't win and send this mediocre asshole back to the abyss where he belongs.
1/4*

Xavier Woods comes to do commentary.

Match #5: R-Truth vs. Brodus Clay
Also horrible! Brodus does plodding and awkward big man clubbing. Xavier gets on the table and brings out The Funkadactyls for the distraction, and Truth hits Black Finisher to win.
3/4*

Triple H comes out and he gets on the mic. He says he has a big announcement of his own and says 2014 will be a year like no other. He says he's done something that's best for business truly, despite how he feels about the man personally, and says someone is coming back right now. BROCK LESNAR COMES OUT WITH PAUL HEYMAN. OH FUCK. Brock and H shake hands, and H leaves to give them the floor. Paul gets the mic and says the beast is back. He says his client has authorized him to inform you of his mission statement in WWE in 2014. He has no old scores to settle, because if you fight Brock Lesnar, you lose to Brock Lesnar, and Brock forgets about you. What's best for business is this. His client Brock Lesnar hereby declares his desire to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and is calling out either John Cena or Randy Orton after the Royal Rumble. Brock says he doesn't care who the champion is and there's nobody in this company or building that can stop him. He doesn't have to win the Royal Rumble to be deserving of a title match or stand in some mysterious line for a title shot, and that line starts behind him. He dares anybody to come to try and do something about that. Heyman says nobody will come out and Brock's life is like a t-shirt. EAT. SLEEP. CONQUER. REPEAT. MARK HENRY COMES OUT AND THEY HAVE AN AMAZING BRAWL. BORK HITS THE F5 ONTO THE COMMENTARY TABLE.

Match #6: The Bella Twins/The Funkadactyls/Eva Marie vs. Kaitlyn/Foxana/Summer Rae/Rosa Mendes
This is overly long and not very good because there's only one good wrestler on the "babyface" side. Out of five minute, maybe one isn't total dogshit, but at least we get DAT AKSANA SPINEBUSTER. Aksana beats Big Titty Bella with a sort of reverse Final Cut.
3/4*

WWE hearts the troops. Never fiveget.

included a backstage segment in which Maddox told Triple H and Stephanie that the referee call in the Sandow vs. Great Khali match wouldn't happen again and he had their favorites lined up for Old School Raw, including Ric Flair

THIS WEEK ON SD: DFRB VS. WYATTS FOR THE TAG TITLES

Match #7: Daniel Bryan vs. Luke Harper w/ The Wyatt Family
This is the best of the matches in this gauntlet, obviously. This gets fifteenish minutes. Bryan has a ton of fire and they have the wonderful big/small slugfest that they always had in them but never really got the time to produce during the first part of the Wyatts/Bryan feud. Bryan brings DAT COMEBACK including multiple Tope Suicidas and all those kicks. Lots of great false finishes near the end including a Super Liger Bomb from Harper. Bryan manages the Knee for the win.
***1/4

Match #8: Daniel Bryan vs. Erick Rowan w/ The Wyatt Family

This one is shorter, at only three or four minutes, but it was also really good. Not as great as their other longer singles match, but it has a lot of the same elements. Bryan brings out the best in Rowan and the big guy has cool power throws and gets stiff sometimes. He has a sweet Super Fallaway Slam too. Bryan gets the perfect inside cradle for the win though.
**

Rowan attacks post-match, but Harper comes in to pull him back, and Bray gets in.

Match #9: Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt
Bray turns his back, but then Harper and Rowan immediately attack for the DQ.

They swarm on Bryan after the bell and throw him into the barricade a bunch before throwing him back in. Harper hits the Discus Lariat, and and the two hit a Double Chokeslam. Bray gets on the mic and sings a gospel song and it ends with "walk with the reapers and leave this world behind". Bray says this is where their story ends, and he has no mercy left to give. This is his fault and he's going to punish him. He holds him up and yells to open his eyes and says this is the end. Bryan says he's right and Bray lets go. Bray yells to say it again and Bryan says he's right. No matter how many matches he won or how loud these people cheered for him, the machine would never let him win. No matter what. They've chanted YES in every building every night for a years, and they don't care, so he's theirs. Bray hits Sister Abigail as an initiation and they take him to the back. Bryan stands up on the stage and everyone NOs but he leaves with the Wyatts.

This is again, the WWE basically attempting to kill off Bryan as a top guy before the crowd turned on it so they did a quick 180 in a few weeks. Appropriate that 2013 ends with this.

This was up in the air for a while. Dolph Ziggler was getting a push and time every week for the first four months. Antonio Cesaro got time every week and wasn't anchored down in a stupid tag team for the first six months. The Shield was doing stuff, Sheamus had his best in-ring year ever, ADR was trying etc. Randy Orton was also an all-time great points vulture again, leeching off the two hottest acts of the year in expert ways like only he can. But in the end, the best wrestler of his generation has the most consistent, if not outright best, year of his career, and has the second greatest year of any wrestler ever in the 30ish years all these reviews span.
