(OOC: Finally ...) Juno looked away from Tel to the western horizon, where the sea was just visible over the dark walls of the Keep. "Difficult? I suppose it is, wot ... hadn't really had the time to think about it much. Still, the grub's better here than at the old Fire Mountain - speaking of which!" Completely absorbed for a few minutes in the highly important art of organising lunch, Juno ruffled Telo's ears gratefully and sent him packing. Accepting the mug of tea from Teltoli, she passed him half a cheddar and set to breaking up the bread. She grinned slightly at the other hare's words. "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't, wot. What was the worst meal you've ever eaten?" |

Tel listened intently as Juno spoke and was slightly chagrined when the food arrived. He had hoped to hear a bit more, but well, it was food and so he was not downcast for more than a second or so. "Hi say! Excellent supplies you've brought us young Telo! Good show eh wot wot!" The ruddy hare watched as Juno expertly took apart the rations, splitting them up and preparing them to be eaten. The hare's stomach gurgled audibly as she passed his some cheese. It was all he could do not to scoff it right then and there. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't, wot. What was the worst meal you've ever eaten? Tel nodded in agreement. Aside from the comradery, the guardsbeast bunks, and the chance to serve in a military fashion, the food in itself was indeed a good reason to call Black Arch home. "Worst meal eh?" He tapped his chin reflectively, trying to remember bygone suppers. "Well, Hi wouldn't say for sure if it was the worst but Hi remember during my training days with the Fur and Footpaw Freedom Fighters. Our marching Sargent happened to be me own pater Hi being a Rivahbuck 'n all that. Well, me pater assigned a wet behind the ears hare chap named Duffer to cook's details. The rotter accidentally made a trailside apple crumble with salt instead 'o sugar. Me pater was nevah one to waste and so our unit was forced to finish the lot off. Worst bally thing Hi kin remember. And the thirst afterwards?" He wiped a paw across his mouth. "Unbearable to think of wot! Must 'ave drank an entire pond full next time we stopped don't cha know!" The hare chuckled dryly as he remembered his younger days. Now Tel reached for bread and cheese as Juno began to do the same. He muched away happily and asked a question of the hare maid between mouthfuls. "'Ow 'bout you miss Juno? Whot's the worst scoff you've evah had yer mouth around eh?" |
