Her hells clicked against the concrete floor of the street. She was feeling hesitant but she knew she need it to get this done and over with anytime in her life, if she was even thinking of her and Cyprus being a couple again. She didn't know what she feared the most, if it was the fact that she was going to see Lynn again after that time where she gave her a dress or if Cyprus was going to act like a stranger to her again.

And he looked so amazing! Time really has done something to him, he just looked so good. Just thinking about it made her warm and tingles all over and smiled, coyly at the thoughts going through her head.

She finally made it to the door and went inside. The place looked amazing. Nothing like the last time she was here. She walked, slowly, peeking to see if she saw any familiar face, but as she made her head look up, she saw the window of the office, the blinds were closed and her heart sunk. It was what happened in that room that made things is differently. It was that room that made them become apart, but now the question remains, was it worth it?

Was the space, the pain and the bad thoughts worth the uncomfortable silence between Cyprus and Kathleen? And all of the sudden, she felt guilty. For if she made things different between Cyprus and Lynn, she would never forgave herself. She was like a sister to Cyprus and the only one she confided in.

She looked down and sighed. Maybe it wasn’t a very good idea that she was here…

The music was already pulsing through the speakers, though kept at a lower volume then usual so the early birds could still talk over their drinks. The night was going to be a busy one, but he wasn’t going to stay and make sure everything went ok because he was going to dinner with Kathleen, and he would make sure nothing go in the way of that.
This was important.

He pulled his vest from the chair at his desk, slipped it over his shoulders as he moved towards the door. The whole room was still scattered with numerous fabrics, although he’d allowed Cas to take some home with her to look through. He opened the door to the office, closed it behind him, locked it and headed for the spiral staircase. Lynn had called moments ago to tell him she’d be there tonight, just not until later so he stopped at the bar to tell the girls he was leaving for the evening. They knew how to handle things until Lynn got there.

He buttons his dress vest as he crossed the room, ignoring a curious glance from a group of girls – who seemed to be out having a hen night by the odd clothes they were wearing – and was about to head over to talk to Kyle, the bouncer stationed at the bottom of the stairs when he noticed a familiar women hovering around the vicinity.

He moved quickly over to her without hesitation.

“Kathleen.” He addressed, something in his tone that suggested he was glad she showed up. He bent to kiss her cheek after a moment of hesitation – not sure she would find it appropriate – “glad you came.” He told her brightly, leaning back to show her the playing grin on her face before smiling. “I hope you don’t mind incredibly high hopes for super tonight… I was thinking of something less conventional.”

Kathleen turned around when she heard Cyprus and smiled, happy to see that he was here already before she could bump into anyone familiar. She placed her hand upon his cheek, bringing his face closer to hers and kissed him back on the cheek. A strange feeling creep, feeling confused. They were so close and loved each other and now it came to this, a kiss on the cheek?

She tried to put those feelings behind her and smiled at him. He looked dressed up but she wasn’t. She was wearing heels, jeans and a black shirt. But the word conventional sparked a curious smile on her face

“Something less conventional? Cyprus what do you have in mind?”

She was dying to find out what he had planned for them this evening and she couldn’t hide it. All of the sudden, the nervousness and anxiety slowly faded away.

He had been planning on taking her to his place for supper, but he'd worried that one of his cousins would make an appearence and spoil the atmosphere, or maybe she would feel pressured to do something in such a situation? He'd been mauling it over for a while now, and had ultimately decided something a bit simpler and less formal would make a huge difference, and possibly ease any tension between them.

Besides, he wanted to show her what he'd been spending most of his time on lately.

"Alright, we'll have to head up to the street first."

He carefully -- a bit nervously -- took her hand in his and led her back up the stairway to the street. It was an odd night, the sounds of the night life starting to pick up. He held the heavy metal door open for her before letting it close behind him, leading the way down the street, stopping at the next door (a rather dull looking metal door like the club enterance one) before pulling out a set of keys.
He passed a quick grin in her direction before unlocking the door and pushing it open. The place smelt like new hardwood, drywall and cement. A large room that had newly been renovated from several apartment style rooms into one large open space. The low ceilings had been knocked away to make room for high twelve foot and wood beamed ceilings, and hardwood had been installed.

There were no tables yet. In fact, there was nothing yet. The kitchen in the back was still in progress, as were the large windows that were going to look out onto the street once it was done.

He led her into the middle and spoke quietly, knowing his voice would carry in the large space. "It's not done yet by any means... but this will eventually be my restaurant." He smiled in a shy way. "I just hired someone to work on it, and the designs are underway."

Her steps were cautious in the dark but felt reassurance with the touch of his hand. She looked around amazed to what he was doing and beamed, not being able to control the urge to hug him. With her arms around him, she looked straight into his eyes and said softly enough for him to hear

“Your restaurant. That is amazing, Cy. I’ve always admired you so much. You always see the positive side of everything. This place right now is nothing much than an empty and unsightly place, but you and your imagination can make it be the most incredible place to be. And if you want me to, I can help you. I can come by after class and help you in anything you need.”

She pulled back away from him and walked further ahead, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt and took a deep breath before talking again.

“What kind of food are you going to be serving? Are we going to eat here?”

The floors looked amazing and everywhere she turned had potential. Among other things, Kathleen felt happy that he was being honest with her and couldn’t help but think that maybe she did acted childish for not believing him. In the midst of a dark establishment, she was finally seeing things clearly for what they were. He loved her and wanted to be only with her.

He felt his whole face flush as she wrapped her arms around him, met his gaze and continued to spout off those comments that always made him feel extremely flattered and embarrased. She was very good at that actually, and he turned his gaze to the ground for a moment, giving a slightly embarrased chuckle before she let go and moved about in the room.
He watched her progress, and tried to see the room through her eyes, but only found that it didn't look very nice that way -- though was sure he was just doing it wrong.

He would build on this. Make it better. He had to, for himself.

"Well actually... yeah we're eating here. I hope you don't mind..."

He smiled shyly at her before moving to the other side of the room and pulling up a plastic bag and a blanket he'd hidden behind the brick half-wall still standing from the original building structure. "I hope you don't mind chinese food... I really did mean it when I said unconventional. But I wanted to take you out for desert somewhere." He reached down again and pulled up a bottle of chilled, white wine and brought all over to her.
He carefully set the blanket out over the hardwood before motioning for her to have a seat.

After setting the chinese food down he pulled his wand from his pocket, conjured up two long stemmed wine glasses and poured them both a measure of wine, carefully handing hers to her.

She watched him quietly setting up the blanket on the floor and walked over to help him, taking a seat in front of him shortly after

“It’s fine by me. You might think is crazy, but I was actually craving Chinese food today.”

She shrugged beaming. Chinese food always reminded her of the times she would go over his apartment and ate take out as they cuddle in the couch and watched muggle films. However, she wasn’t going to get gloomy about it. Obviously the reason why they were seating in front of each other was because of her stupid thoughts and for being so quick to jump to conclusions. He might need time to trust her again or know that she won’t be as judgmental as before, which is something she understood. But if she did think it his decisions were wise, why did it felt wrong?

Pushing those thoughts aside, she accepted the glass of wine handed to her “Thanks.” She said softly and took a drink of it, looking around the empty and dim place and trying to push her ideas aside and make the best of this ‘polite’ meeting, pressing her lips together from keeping her from saying more things because she was being impatient.

At this point, seeing him being as courteous as she remembered him and serving her food, she was very close of saying screw the food and kiss him right at that moment.

Why was it that going against her will always seemed most difficult?
