Jacen was as usual 'Johnny on the spot' when it came to needing to be in the right spot at the right time, it had only taken a few minutes from when she called to when he pulled up and that proved to be a big help in not attracting the eyes of the cop that Bryn had been keeping busy once they went out into the cruiser. Once Jcen had pulled away she gave him the quick version of what happened to get Bryn arrested and how he could probably get her out before he dropped her off at the front doors of her apartment building.
Electing to take the stairs instead of the elevator she climbed up to the third floor and walked down to the end of the hallways where her place was and used her keys to unlock the deadbolt and the door lock before quietly opening the door. The TV quietly playing in the other room brought up a little bit of a smile as she slipped out of her shoes and locked the door behind her before she peeked into the main room where she found Jesse lightly sleeping on the couch. Going into her room she pulled a blanket out of the closet and carefully covered the woman with it before she headed to the bathroom to shower off some of the smoke from her skin.
After towelling off her hair as much as she could Alex put on a pair of sweat pants and a tee-shirt before leaving the bathroom and headed for the main area to check on Jesse, seeing movement she walked over to the couch again and knelt down in front her.
Back in one piece as promised. I can give you a ride home or you can crash here if you want, though I should warn you that I have a lot of cheesy movies and no where to be tomorrow morning if you stay.

Jesse heard the door unlock but she was in that state where she couldn't quite muster a response. She thought she had, but the fact that Alexandra didn't respond and headed for the shower told Jesse she hadn't managed to vocalize. She fell back under for a bit, warmed by both the blanket and the gesture.
When Lex returned, this time Jesse managed to get her faculties together enough to peek at her the Russian through a pair of sleepy but content eyes. Jessing pulled the blanket a touch closer around her as she smiled at Lex but then uncurled and reached out to hug Lex, as if affirming she really was there and safe as promised.
I take it Bryn's fine too?
She knew that Lex wouldn't leave Bryn but as she hadn't brought her home... It was more a need for verbal confirmation than thinking that Lex would let anything happen to Bryn and then just come home like nothing went down.
After getting an affirming nod from Lex, Jesse pushed herself up some to make space for Lex.
What kind of cheesy are you offering up?
There was clearly a hint of interest in the statement and Jesse shifted about a little more to wake herself. This was a prospect she was all over.

I had been a while since there had been anyone to worry over her and it would be a lie to say that she didn't feel some guilt over being the cause of it, she was so used to being out on her own and never had much cause to be concerned how the choices she made could impact others until recently. Unfortunately this one couldn't really have been avoided in that leaving Bryn without help wasn't an option but now maybe she could just go back to avoiding trouble and save them all some stress. With a big of a nod she gave Jesse a little more on it.
Bryn should be fine, probably gone for a drink or two. I owe her a little on this one.
Not that keeping track of things was something either of them did but Alex didn't need to be told that Bryn did her a solid in taking the focus of that cop, forget the idea that Lex needed a clean record because it would have been Red who responded to being trapped and that barrier in the car wouldn't have been enough to stop a very angry wolf from getting to Owen.
Once there was room on the couch she sat down next to Jesse and reworked the blanket so that it could cover them both, then once she had the remote and could bring up the saved movies on the list that she had managed to collect over the years and then handed the remote to Jesse.
An unhealthy amount of late night B rated movies, lot of old kung-fu because I'm weird like that and some foreign stuff.
She hadn't even seen the majority of it but had recorded it for the purpose of background noise and random movie nights.

Jesse gave herself a bit of a shuffle to be leaning toward Lex rather than away and wrinkled her nose a touch in thought, biting at her lip.
To be honest, I'm too tired to try and follow anything foreign. B rated sounds good to me.
Jesse gave Alex that odd smile again, the one she'd given her out at the park. She and Eric used to hunker down under the blankets and watch bad movies, old music videos and anything funny or groan-worthy they could get their hands on. It was nice to have the chance to share that with someone again.
She watched Lex flip through the options, voicing an opinion when it warranted. Some she had seen, a few she cautioned they avoid but most of what Lex had as choices Jesse hadn't seen and was up for any of them. The company was really the more important part.

Before Lex settled in too much she waited for Jesse to give her an indication on what movie they wanted before she found on that looked agreeable and got it playing. Setting the remote down she pulled the blanket up a little get comfortable before she snuck an arm around her shoulders and the other underneath the blanket to rest across her waist in a loose 'watching movies on the couch' hug.
If you're tired enough you can have my bed.
She didn't want to make it sound as if Jesse needed to stay up with her and certainly didn't want to make it sound like she was presuming anything other then a nights rest before daybreak, at this point she wasn't even sure how long (or how quickly) she was going to end up falling asleep either but certainly wasn't going to complain if that meant falling asleep like this.
As the movie played on she wasn't sure if Jesse had fallen asleep or not but Alex was probably going to drift off soon anyway so she wasn't going to risk checking, closing her eyes she focused more on their breathing then the voices from the TV and was about to fall asleep when she heard something by the door. It wasn't unusual to hear your neighbours through the front door if they accidentally dropped something or where speaking loudly but this was a sound that was unusual. A click of sorts that was suddenly followed by the sound of a key turning a lock, alarms rang in her head as she started to slip out from Jesse's grasp as the door to the apartment was opened.
The only keys she had ever asked for where sitting on the kitchen table and never had any spares made so there was immediate concern over what was happening but as her eyes adjusted to the bright light shining into the room she saw a glimpse of the buildings owner collapse in the hallway before figures entered the apartment.

Irritated wasn't a complete fill to describe what she felt when she returned to the club after what was supposed to be the big night, she had decided much earlier in the daylight that being in a room filled up VIP's wasn't really her thing so she had left to go get something a little more 'gamey' to eat from one of the locals. There was just something that fear did to the blood that made it all the more tantalizing and it was hard to replicate in the bar where dinner was willing.
On her return she had quickly learned of what had happened and she barely saw the carnage left over from it before she was in the security room to watch the footage, it was easy enough to figure out the two teams and she recognized Kae, Bryn and Kerik immediately but she knew that there was little point in chasing them down now when they where probably hiding behind the manors gates but the red head was different. Rayv hadn't really paid much attention to the stray other then tracking down her den but she had no real reason to look into it until now.
With Dirk's blessing she headed out with a few tag along s that could maybe be useful in holding a door or something and had them pile into the bed of the truck before she sped off, she remembered vaguely where the stray lived so it didn't take long for her to figure out where the apartment building was. Sending in the idiots she had them track down the owner of the building that was living on the main floor and made sure he wouldn't be an issue, once done they where also able to find the spare set of keys for the whole of the place and brought them back to Rayven.
Oddly pleased with the youngsters she decided that they could come inside as long as they where quiet and behaved themselves. Following the scent of dog she walked up through the hallways until the smell got strong enough that she only had to pick from a few doors, listening through the door of the first apartment she heard nothing in the first one, a loud party in the second one and finally at the end of the hallway one with only the sound of a tv. Quietly she had one of the youngsters find the right key to the door and then had him unlock it for her, stepping inside she didn't bother to turn on the lights but she did pull the gun from her hip and levelled the barrel at Lex before letting her aim slide to Jesse.
Oops, don't mean to interrupt. It's so rude when that happens.

Jesse didn't answer Lex's offer, just gave a silent nod. They could figure that out later. Dropping her head to Lex's shoulder once the red head had put her arm around her, Jesse settled in to watch the movie. Occasionally she closed her eyes and just listened but she wasn't all that tired. It seemed to her that Lex was drifting though, and so Jesse remained still, the hint of a smile on her lips as the movie marched on oblivious to the girls' mixed state of fatigue.
When Lex tensed, Jesse consciously stayed still. When she started to sit up though, Jesse did as well and turned to look over the back of the couch at the door. She had no idea who, or what, just walked in but Lex didn't like it, that much she could tell.
That clearly didn't stop you.
She'd learn later that wasn't likely the best response but Jesse was no stranger to nasty words and stalkers. This wasn't even the first time she'd had a gun pulled on her. This would mark the first time she'd had a gun pulled on her by a psychopath vampire but again, tings she'd learn in time.

Alex hadn't previously met or had any encounters at all with this particular blonde vampire but it wasn't much of a stretch at all for her to figure out who it was, Bryn had mentioned her more then once in past problems that they had with the vampire and that she had been the one that shot Kyle but until now she had yet to meet her. Eventually she was bound to end up face to face with the vampire but doing so by having the damn thing standing in her home was certainly not how she wanted it to go down and she certainly hadn't wanted Jesse to end up being in harms way when it happened.
She took a step towards Rayven as the gun was pulled out but immediately froze when the barrel found Jesse, from how she had been warned Lex knew that the vampire was a lose canon and needed very little encouragement to maim whoever was nearest and she was sure as hell wasn't going to let that target become Jesse. As she heard Jesse's little retort from just behind her, she took a step to the side to try and stay directly between the two of them.
What do you want?

Jesse's snappy little reply got a little touch of reaction from Rayven as a smirk spread across her lips while she turned her attention to the girl, she didn't necessary care who she was or why she was here but there was certainly a good guess floating around and Rayv had no problem putting it to her own advantage.
She didn't miss the intent of the red head's move to keep between them but didn't make any move to stop it from happening, it didn't matter where either of them stood because in the end it didn't matter which one of them was first.
I just thought I'd introduce myself.
Her eyes stayed put on Lex until a very deliberate shift of her eyes to where she glanced at Jesse and with a smile, fired her weapon at the girl with the gun in one hand and her other hand reaching for the dagger that she had on the back of her belt. Alex had come forward quickly as she saw Rayv's eyes find Jesse and had gotten there in time to use a hand to strike upward on the wrist holding gun to throw off the shot, being this close left an opportunity to connect with a second hit and while she knew better Lex made the calculated risk and took the attempt at trying to land a hit on the vampire's face.
Rayven had been aimed directly at Jesse when her wrist was hit and forced up as she pulled the trigger but she wasn't overly annoyed with it, instead she brought up her dagger and used the blade on Lex' arm to deflect it and then took a good slice into it to force red back a few steps.
I don't think so, little hero.

Well shit. Sure Jesse had been held at gunpoint before, hell, she'd even been robbed before but this would definitely go down as a first, actually being shot at. She ducked as soon as Lex started moving and rolled herself off the couch to hit the floor. Immediately peaking under the couch to watch their feet she found something under there. Reaching, at this point ready to use just about anything she could find so she wasn't empty handed, Jesse's hand wrapped around the hilt of a.. sword? Good thing she hadn't reached in where the blade was. Jesse pulled the blade from under the couch. Well, she was going to be right useless with that, but she guessed Alexandra had it for a reason.
Using her free hand to push up on the couch cushion, Jesse peaked up enough to see Lex and called out before tossing the blade over the couch to her and making a b-line for the bedroom.
Magic!
She made it as far as the doorway before one of Rayven's lackey's grabbed her arm and swung her around, to grab her hair and pin her back against his chest. he immediately opened his mouth with a faint hiss to bite her.
Don't!
Her outburst caused him to pause and she took advantage of that, completely unable to keep track of what Alexandra and Rayven were up to.
You really don't want to do that. I'm Canadian, you know, land of frozen nothing and igloos? We've got ice for blood, really not a good choice. Hasn't she told you what that can do to you?
Bullshitting through her teeth, it worked enough to confuse the fang, showing just what kind of an idiot he was. That gave her just enough distraction for her to slam her heel down on the bridge of his foot with all her strength and he yelled in pain as she managed to break more then a few bones in his foot. There were so many to choose from in the foot. This loosened his grip on her and she threw her elbow back to crack him in the jaw and he stumbled back from her as she turned to drop her elbow into his kidney when he doubled over.

Gunpoint was definitely something new for the Russian but she was no stranger to having other weapons waved in her face and even if it had been more then a few years since it had last happened, she was still feeling the same old aggravation at the entire notion of it. The fact that this Rayven chick barged into her home and then fired a weapon at someone who was completely innocent really set the tone for how this was all going to go down if Alex didn't do something to get rid of the unwanted company.
One source of help she hadn't planned on came from Jesse when she had just happened to come across a particular little object. Alex had been focused on avoiding the blade that Rayven had been welding and splitting her attention to keep an eye on the other vampires in the room when Jesse Called her name, for a split second her heart sank to her stomach in thinking she'd been hurt but instead was met with the sword that she had stashed under the couch.
In the same fluid motion she grabbed the hilt with her right hand and spun around to take a broad swing at Rayv with the only intent being to push the vampire back a step or two before she came back around with the goal of removing the hand that held the gun. Luckily for the vampire the added speed that came with being the undead spared her the ordeal of losing a limb but the sword did catch the gun and sent it clattering across the floor.
With her eyes on Rayven she pointed the tip of the sword at the vampire that had tried to bite Jesse and issued him a very clear warning.
Play nice.
Bringing the sword back she took the hilt with both hands and made the mental note to remember that her left hand had a tremble and wouldn't be able to trust it on it's own, it also meant she needed to end this right fast. Pressing in she shifted her position to regain the centre spot where she was able to take off the vampire's head that had gone for Jesse earlier.
I got your old man, you got me. Lets call this a night.

There was no intention to be loosing limbs in this shitty little dog's den so she backed off as the red head pushed forward, every step back only served to irritate her further so when she bumped into one of the new vampires who had come with her she grabbed him and pulled him around so that he was between them and then gave him a good hard push at the sword. At this point she hadn't really been paying attention to what the other wolf was doing but she did see the flash of the phone and that was more then enough reason to change her focus.
The vampire that she had shoved towards Lex had ended up skewered on the sword but most importantly he had given the red one something else to focus on while Rayven headed for Jesse, with dagger in hand she smacked the phone out of the girls hand and then put the already bloodied blade to Jesse's throat as she used the girl as a shield. Your girlfriend is a little cute, I wonder what her insides look like. There was no keeping her mouth shut when she knew she had the upperhand on any situation, the clock was ticking and it was only a matter of time before that silver wound dropped Lex but she wasn't going to dismiss the possibility that the dog she had at knife point now may have called for help. Moving the two of them across the room she kept sure that Lex was held off with the threat of harming Jesse until she was able to pick up the gun. At that point she let go of Jesse and gave her a good shove towards Lex before she aimed the gun at the two of them as she backed more towards the door.
You know this isn't the end, right? I'm going to keep coming back until your both dead.
There was a car door slammed shut out front of the building and there was no way for Rayven to be able to tell if it was just some random vehicle or if it was more little dogs coming out to play but she didn't really feel like taking that risk when she could just come back another time. She backed out through the door and then with her gun still in hand she took off down through the fire exit.

There was some expectation as to what Rayven was about to do with the vampire she had bumped into so there wasn't much of a guessing game by the time that it was shoved towards her, she held the sword in a defensive stance as always but when he was pushed forward she made sure he found the pointy end and trust it in deep to sever the spine and as he dropped to the ground she pulled it free and finished the guy off with the sword to the guys neck.
Her left hand was starting to fumble the grip on the hilt and no one needed to tell her that she was running out of time, she could feel the burning spreading up her arm and the muscle spasms within it that was making holding the sword impossible. She had to switch to one hand as she held her stance and followed Rayven as she moved across the room with Jesse. There wasn't much of anything she could say at this point that wouldn't make this worse so she kept quiet and waited for an opportunity but then Rayv shoved Jesse towards her. Lowering the sword she caught Jesse in her good arm and then made sure she stayed between Rayv and Jesse until the ass hole made the exit.
First aid kit under the bathroom sink.
Dropping the sword she pushed herself to the kitchen sink where she pulled back her sweatshirt and ran water over her arm until she could see how deep Rayven had gotten her.
I need to get to the manor.
Alex didn't want to scare Jesse more then what Rayven already had but she already knew how fast silver moved through her body and that she was running out of time before she wasn't going to be able to walk let alone operate a bike. She was already feeling the weakness in her legs and ended up sitting on the floor of the kitchen to try and avoid wasting energy in fighting to stay standing.

While Jesse's first call had been a bluff, the next call out of Alexandra's cell reached Azreal's phone, intentionally. The Russian had instructed her before starting with the first aid kit, because they really didn't need a bike wreck on top of everything while trying to get home. Lex's voice was slurred somewhat but the gist got across, and the captain grumbled something about an ETA and hung up.
Exiting his office, he grabbed his keys and when he passed by Owen's desk in the bullpen, called to the new officer.
Off hours call- take your squad and follow me.
Owen could always go back on patrol after this but, he had the idea he'd need another able body to help clean up whatever mess he found in that apartment. Offering no other explanation, he continued out to the parking lot and got into his modest Cadillac- it was a nice enough car, but he'd intentionally downplayed the paint job and minimized the chrome. He stood out enough in a crowd, he didn't need his car to.
Keeping an eye on his rear view, he made sure Owen kept up, and parked on the offside of the apartment building. Exiting the driver's side, he went to the boot and collected a heavy, black canvas duffel bag. Pausing for a moment to let Owen catch up, he led him into the side entrance of the apartment and headed up the nearer stair case up to where Alexandra's apartment was. Azreal had never been there personaly but it didn't mean he didn't know where all his kids were. In theory. Black was more eellike, but, he could usually figure out where to find him when he needed to.
His heavy hand knocked twice on Lex's doorframe before continuing in the apartment. Finding the door open was never a good sign. His wiry brows rose slightly at the sight inside- two headless bodies, quite a bit of foul smelling blood and a...sword. Certainly not what he would have had money on, but, lifting a shoulder he went back and shut the door behind Owen and then ignored the officer to proceed into the kitchen. He'd let the Scotsman take in the scene and update him after he evaluated his favorite Russian.
Bad company ain't just a song, mm? You hurt anywhere else- what about you?
He took up most of the rest of the small apartment's kitchen, his voice as gruff as his expression, but his grip on Alexandra's wrist to turn her arm over the sink and inspect the damage was surprisingly gentle. He glanced at Jesse with his second question. He could get the how later, right now he needed to know what they were working with.

Things were happening faster than she could really manage to react to. It wasn't like she was trained like Bryn and Lex were. She'd managed to get to one of their phones but only just before Rayven knocked it away from her. After that she was straight up useless until the vampire decided not to slit her throat.
Jesse didn't waste any time, leaving Alexandra's arms as soon as she was told where to get the first aid kit. On her way back, after pausing a second to find Lex, she went for the dropped phone, Lex's by chance, and grabbed that before kicking the door mostly shut. They didn't need anyone walking by the finding two headless bodies. On that note... Jesse deliberately avoided looking at or acknowledging the two dead bodies. She wasn't entirely sure how to process that just yet.
Jesse handed over the phone to Lex and dropped to her knees in front of her opening the medical kit. She grabbed the gauze and a triangle bandage. Thankfully the vampire didn’t seem to have any good idea how to actually bleed someone out and had cut her across the wrist rather than up the arm. With the triangle bandage still wrapped in a long strip, Jesse tied it tight around Lex’s arm just above the elbow. She didn’t know about the silver issue but she’d had to stop a major bleed in a pinch before. Best to reduce the blood flow down to the arm, and in turn, to the heart.
After that it was mostly just pressing gauze to the cut and working on Keeping Lex focused on her. Jesse couldn’t help but stiffed when the door was pushed open and Azreal came in. She’d hadn’t met him, hadn’t seen him before and he was followed by an on duty officer. Great! Lex wasn’t really responsive and when the big man stepped in to look Lex over she had to figure that was who the Russian had called. Jesse stepped back to allow Az room and when asked she shook her head, not realizing she had a line of Lex’s dried blood across her neck from the dagger.
When Azreal turned his attention back to Lex, Jesse left the kitchen, heading for the bedroom. She found Lex’s backpack she usually wore on the bike and then started rummaging through drawers to find her a change of clothes, just grabbing the first things she could find. They could come back later, right now Jesse was determined to get her enough that they didn’t have to come back too soon. Jesse found Lex’s keys on the dresser and grabbed those, throwing the wallet in the bag as well as her own phone. She tried to keep herself focused on her task but it all caught up, the adrenaline, the fear, the blood… the smell. Jesse dropped the backpack on Lex’s bed and bolted for the attached bathroom. She made it to the toilet just before her stomach betrayed her and she didn’t even try to fight it. One hand braced on the counter, the other holding her hair back, Jesse continued to wretch long after her stomach was empty of anything.
