Lex had no problem in letting Jesse take care of trying to slow the bleeding down and as she worked at it, the Russian leaned back against the cabinets and closed her eyes to try and focus on calming down enough so that her heart rate slowed down to help stop the silver from spreading any further then it already had. Azreal's knock at the door was still heard but she didn't respond to it until she opened her eyes and saw the new set concerns in Jesse's eyes, she gave her a little smile and tried to tell her it was ok but she seemed to figure it out fast enough on her own.

Just my pride.

She never should have taken that injury so easily, she knew better then to leave her guard open like that and it was probably going to gnaw away at the back of her mind for a while, this situation could have ended a lot worse and she knew it. The arm that had taken the hit was flush with a rash a this point and the veins in the arm where showing up on the surface of her skin as an angry dark red, as Az took hold of it she didn't resist it but she did cringe as he turned it to get a better view of the damage. It was that same arm back in school that had taken the big cut with a silver dagger and then gone without treatment for a time, there was only the long scar up the underside from wrist to elbow now but the arm itself was now overly sensitive to it. The pain that shot up her arm had her sweating and she couldn't warn him about the silver until he let go.

Don't suppose you have any of the silver detox on you.

Azreal had her attention enough now that she didn't notice Owen or the fact that Jesse was dealing with a little shock from just having been through something so stressful but there wasn't a whole lot she could do to help her anyway. At least not until she was given something to stop the poison that was trying to sneak through her body.

He nodded absently to the other girl, one of the Basin kids, he couldn't recall her first name but that was probably for the best for her. Good, one less problem. Frowning at the arm, he noted the pale scar tissue, but was more concerned with the heat and rash spreading from the angry, new wound. He gave a low chuckle to her wounded pride comment, that was par for the course, and he was about to voice his concerns about silver when she answered that for him with a question of her own.

Regretably, no I do not. I'll wrap this snug, see if we can't slow it down some, at least to get you back to the manor.

Finishing the wrapping job, he caught movement out of the corner of his eye as Jesse went around to gather things and shove them into the bag, already planning on getting our of here. Glancing over, he saw Owen toeing one of the severed head with a curious look and figured he didn't have to worry about the probie all that much. That was when Jesse made a dash for the bathroom.

Offering Red an arm, he helped support her and guide her out to the living room.

Owen, if you wouldn't mind running the girls out to the manor, I'll clean up here.

He'd been hoping to initiate the newbie in the side job they had out of necessity, but he also knew Alexandra getting treatment was priority. There'd be time enough for lessons. Momentarily forgetting that these two might have met a bit earlier in the night under less than ideal conditions he left Lex to support herself against the couch with her good arm and went to the bathroom to check on the other one.

If he'd taken up a lot of the kitchen, it was almost comical how he sidled into the small bathroom. Setting one hand on her back gently, his voice was low and while it was gravelly and harsh it was kind.

You think you can make it back to the manor with them? Officer Finlay's going to need directions and I think Red could use the company.

If not, she could always stay here and he could take her when he was done. She didn't need to help him, there was a door on the bathroom and the bedroom, and both would shield her enough from what he needed to do, but he felt she'd probably rather stay with Alexandra and go home.

Jesse heard Azreal before she felt his hand on her back. She took a second to get herself under control and flushed the toilet, turning on the sink to rinse her mouth out. Spitting the water out she finally looked up to Azreal.

Sorry. I'm good.

She gave her head a shake and pushed her hand back through her hair.

Um, yeah, if you need me to. But... you're going to need help cleaning up.

She watched the big man as he seemed to be turning something over, maybe measuring her up. He gave a shrug and moved out of the bathroom for her to follow him. Jesse did so, following him back to the living room and setting her dark eyes on Lex. She really didn't look good.

Owen left the head where he'd found it and took up Alexandra's arm as Azreal left him with her. He gave a nod. He knew where the manor was, he'd been there, only a time or two so far but he knew where it was.

C'mon Lass

It really was easiest if he just picked her up. He gave her a warning and swept his arm under her knees. When Azreal came back out from the bedroom he gave a shrug with Lex in his arms.

I know how ta get there, Cap. Ye comin' Lassy?

Jesse gave a shake of her head and he nodded. He knew what silver could do to them and so once Azreal gave him the go ahead, with a note to put her in the front seat, Owen headed for the staircase and his squad car.

Jesse watched the pair leave and then moved across the room to close and lock the door behind them but paused when she saw the forgotten spare key in the door. She removed it then closed the door and bolted it. With her back set against the door she tossed the spare key on the kitchen counter and pushed her sleeves up.

Do they always come off so easy?

He motioned with a nod of her jaw toward one of the heads, now more than a foot away from its body.

He gave the young woman room to wash her mouth out and was slightly surprised by her offer to stay. Contemplating her for a moment, he shrugged and let her out of the bathroom, moving to eye how Finlay and Red were getting along. This would be an interesting "trial run" as it were. If they both made it to the manor alive he'd take it as a success. Nodding to Owen's comment about knowing the way, he glanced at Jesse and let her choose if she were staying or not. When she did, he decided a little guidance this time was better than when he'd sent him to tail the girls earlier.

Finlay? Front seat with that one.

He could almost hear the Scot groan as the pair left. Gathering his duffel bag he set it on the couch and opened it, procuring a plastic tarp, neatly folded. Laying it out on the floor he paused before handling any of the bodies at her question. Looking at the head she had nodded at he lifted a shoulder slightly, and replied with a slightly amused voice.

If you use a sharp enough blade and enough strength, it looks easy.

Practice made perfect. Red hadn't been hunting very much but she'd clearly trained with her blade enough to be very efficient with it. There was a certain amount of resistance you met with when cutting flesh- let alone ligaments and bone. Adrenaline helped in cases like Alexandra's. Pulling his phone from his pocket he called Keadek, who answered a bit later than usual, which was understandable.

I'm sure you've got your hands full with Riley at the moment, but, you have another patient headed your way. Couple of fangs paid Alexandra a visit, and she's in need of silver serum. Wound itself is nasty but not critical, the silver infection is. I'm sending her over with Owen, I'm here with-

He paused and lifted a brow at Jesse, who took a moment to click that he was waiting for her name and gave it.

Jesse, she isn't wounded, so she's going to help me tidy the apartment and get some things to bring over for Alexandra. I think we both agree on her staying with you for a bit.

Az paused a minute, listening to Keadek's update on the situation and after a moment bid her a fond goodbye and slid the phone back in his pocket. Returning to the duffel he produced two pairs of nitrile gloves, though they'd likely be a bit big on Jesse, it was better than nothing.

I'll roll the bodies on the tarp, if you'll collect the heads.

Azreal was more cut out for heavy lifting and seeing as she'd just turned her guts inside out, he wasn't going to tax her more than he had to in terms of energy. Couldn't help the gore though. That was what it was. Once that was done and Jesse was collecting the heads, he set up a high power UVA-UVB lamp and set it to shine over the bodies. He'd swiped it from the lab connected with the morgue, they'd gotten a new one to sterilize equipment and he figured it would serve a fine second life as a part of his clean up kit. Normally he'd move the bodies somewhere out of the way and let the sun do the dirty work, but, that would be a bit difficult, considering where Red's apartment was. This way took longer, but it worked.

Cracking a window, he cast a glance at Jesse, unsure how familiar she was with the apartment.

Know if Red has a mop bucket and bleach?

Once she saw that Lex was being taken care of, she turned her attention to Azreal. When he paused to call Keadek, Jesse had gone to collect the discarded sword and picked up a now ruined blanket, using the still clean half to take off the majority of the blood. It would need a proper clean but at least it wouldn't be left covered in dried blood. When Azreal paused and looked at her, it took a second to realize what he was waiting for.

Jesse

She supplied and set the blade aside as he finished his conversation. Taking the gloved from him she put them on and gave a nod, turning to look for the heads. Glad she had little left in her stomach, Jesse grabbed one head by the hair and picked it up, trying to touch it as little as possible. That went out the window when the blood poured from it when she lifted it and she reacted by reaching out to tip the head upside down again. So much for not touching it.

Seriously!?

The words were almost a groan but she wasn't wussing out on Azreal or getting faint. She brought the first head over and placed it down on the tarp and moved past the big man to locate the other one. When she did, Jesse paused and looked back at where the associated body was. Damn, this one had rolled. She picked this one up with more care and deposited where indicated.

When Azreal asked her about the mop, Jesse gave a shrug of her shoulders but was already looking around.

Actually, this was my first visit, I couldn't even tell you where the cups are but I'll find something.

She went first for under the kitchen sink, almost slipping at her first step onto the tiled flood for the blood on the bottom of her socks. Pausing, she peeled her socks off and threw them in a ball to the side so she could toss them later, along with what she was wearing. Jesse only realized now that she'd gotten well splattered when Lex had gone after the first vampire.

The kitchen sink turned up the bleach and more digging around in a closet resulted in a broom but there was no bucket so Jesse instead ran some water in the tub.

No bucket but bleach and a mop, tub's running too.

Looking at the amount of blood, Jesse gave another shake of her head. This just didn't seem like an ordinary amount.... at all. She just started in with the mop, soaking up the blood and heading for the tub to rinse out the mop head. No point in the bleach until the majority of the blood was off the floor.

Azreal nodded to Jesse. The tub would have to do. Taking the mop and bleach from her, he nodded to the bedroom.

Go ahead and finish packing what you started. Plan for her to be staying at the manor a couple days. I'll swing by every day to put an eye on the place and make sure no one's been back. But she'll need rest and proper dressing to that arm, so don't let her argue her way into coming back sooner than Keadek says.

Keadek was an alpha, and typically didn't have too many of the pups rebel against her, though, she had a habit of collecting exceptionally hard headed females that were a bit too much like her for her own good. Bryn had settled with time to be mostly civilized and respective, at least to Keadek, but Alexandra was an outsider, intentionally. She didn't flow with pack life so well, from what she'd told him. So maybe having a ...friend help to strong arm her into staying for a while would help.

Once the tub was more red than pink, he drained it and refilled it halfway, emptying half the small bottle of bleach into it and went over the floor again. Luckily the apartment was small but, unfortunately, vampires bled a /lot/ so, it may even take one more pass with clean water to make sure everything was up. Glancing over at the tarp, the bodies were smoking faintly, a sign the light was working, though it may take the second light to expedite things. And maybe a fan, to get the smell out.

When you're done in there, would you mind pulling the fan out of that duffel and setting it up to blow that garbage fire smoke out the window?

It was a small fan but it was far better than letting the smoke build up in the small living room.

Jesse handed over the mop to Azreal when he asked for it and instead of immediately leaving to the bedroom, Jesse picked up the sword she'd put down and took it to the kitchen, hunting for a towel to soak and set to getting the rest of the blood off of it. She then dried it and headed for the bedroom, taking more time to hunt through the drawers this time. She grabbed a few t-shirts, a air of jeans and the rest was mostly lounge pants and a sweater.

Looking around for anything else, she noticed the clutch that Lex had taken out that night. Opening it, she found another phone, confused for a moment knowing she'd already packed two phones in the bag. With a shrug she packed that phone too. Figuring anything else Lex was missing could be borrowed, Jesse zipped up the bag and returned to the living room to help Azreal.

Pulling out the fan from the bag, Jesse plugged it in and positioned it to send the stench out the window. He didn't have to ask her twice to help get rid of that smell.

Standing from her crouched position, Jesse pushed her hair back from her face with the back of her wrist and looked around. Noticing the sword still on the counter, Jesse retrieved it and placed it under the bed. It didn't need to come with them but it didn't seem right to just leave it sitting there either.

Azreal set up the second UV lamp while Jesse set up the fan, and then finished cleaning up the bathroom of residual blood. He handed a bleach water soaked washcloth to Jesse to touch up anything he'd missed in the living room. It didn't take long for their cleanup efforts to be wrapped up, but they had to wait a few more minutes for the lights to do their job fully and to make sure the fan got the bulk of the smell out. He'd still leave the window cracked over night. It wasn't supposed to rain and no one was going to get in through it.

Funnelling the dust remains of their unexpected guests into the kitchen trash, he dusted off the remaining clothes and threw them in a separate trash bag, tied it off, then folded the tarp back up and put it and the clothes in the trash bag into the duffel. Making sure Jesse was good to go, and had the backpack, he grabbed the trash bag from the kitchen and let the girl grab the spare keys and lock up behind them.

Tossing the trash bag into the dumpster, he led Jesse to his car, unlocked it and motioned for her to get into the passenger seat, taking the backpack from her and throwing it with the duffel in the backseat. Then it was the long, not so frantic as Owen's journey to the Manor. He was sure Keadek would have words for him, and he wasn't looking forward to not having answers yet, but, he'd have them soon enough.
