- the wii, ps3 and 360 all have had their cpu(s) manufactured by ibm. during the 6th gen it was only the gamecube who stood out as the sole ibm-featured device (the original xbox had a pentium 3 processor, the ps2 sony's selfmade "emotion engine", the dreamcast a superH 4) - all of those 3 have conventional (only slightly remodeled) pc graphics cards, so nth special here either (for the ps2, sony actually bothered to design a "graphics synthesizer" just for that one console) - ps3 and 360 controllers are basically reused concepts from the previous gen. wiimotes? le sticks 2006 from a technical perspective, 7th gen consoles are unimpressive ones. |
