Hi! My name is Joe Bordonaro. I've been reenacting since 1999, and have been a member of the CVG, Company E, since April of 2010.

Hey Joe! I like the Introduction idea, so I'm gonna roll with it too. I'm Eric David "Scumdog" Wilson. I've been in the hobby since '97/'98 and started in a group called the 8th Kansas from Geneseo, IL. (the real 8th was made up of IL men from my hometown). I joined the CVG in 2008 and helped form Company E in 2009. |

OK... guess I can do this, too. I started more recently than you all -- in 2002, right after attending the 140th Antietam (evidently a fiasco), thinking, "Hey, I can do this!" So I did. Never looked back, or had a 2nd thought. Joey B & I were actually in the same unit together, back in the early 00's -- Co. K, 1st Pa Res of the Nat'l Reg't. Been with Co. A of the CVG... well, since it first formed. Am also a member of Co. H, 2nd Maryland (PACS), and Co. A, 1st Maryland (Nat'l Reg't). |

Hey all, Im Sean O'Malley, I started this hobby at the 135th Sharpsburg and have'nt looked back. I fall in with company E because no else will have me. I dont listen to my sergeants or captain because they never have anything good to say anyhow. |

Well I started in the early '70s with my family. My dad and a group of others started a reenactment group out in Indiana, can't remember what company (I believe the 4th Va, Liberty Hall Volunteers). When I think back on it, pretty sure it was major farbfest (we camped in regular modern tents, my dad wore cowboy boots, and coolers everywhere!) but it was common to use original items at the events, my dad used a late war federal cartridge box (which I have now). I think back then, people was just giving the stuff away. I joined the military in '83, and totally forgot about reenactment until July ‘94 when I saw Gettysburg on TV. But it wasn’t until 1999 when I was stationed in Fort Meade, Maryland that I joined the Stonewall Brigade, 33rd Va Co. E. dropped out when I was stationed in New Jersey. But then in 2006 got back in, joined the 3rd Arkansas that changed eventually to CVG Co. C. |
