A pact with the Sun God; Jackal RP1

The Jackal
World Champion

The scene opens looking across a desolate land of only sand dunes, unforgiving rock structures and a shimmering heat haze. The wind blows clouds of dust high into the sky. The sun blazes down onto the scorching sand and forces a small lizard to burrow beneath the surface to save itself from the shear ferocity of the sun. The only sound is that of the wind, but even that is almost silent with nothing worthy of interrupting its passage across this desert.

In the distance, the shimmering image of two men and a one-humped dromedary camel appear in the distance. On the camel is another man. As the small party get closer it is clear that the two men walking alongside the camel and its rider are dressed in a strange Ancient Egyptian dress.

Both are wearing white linen tunic dresses and a drape across the right shoulder, along with a loin cloth around the waist that is brown in color. Both men are also wearing necklaces made of red and gold colored beads, red and gold bracelets around there wrists and their heads are covered by wigs of mid length brown hair. The Riding atop the camel is none other than Karl ‘The Jackal’ Jackson. He is dressed in a white linen tunic and dress along with a white shawl protecting his head from the blazing sun, which, in this environment, could burn the skin within minutes. He is looking tired, his mouth dry, and his body leaning forward, his bloodshot eyes covered by a pair of sunglasses. The man to the left of the camel is holding onto reins attached around the camel’s face, seemingly guiding it. Despite the open expanse of sand dunes and emptiness, it appears the man knows exactly where he is going. All three men have sandals made from braided papyrus, although the two men leading the way are choosing to hold there sandals in there hands, walking barefoot across the scorching sand.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
Guys, we’ve been going for hours now. Where exactly is this palace you talk of.

The man guiding the camel looks up at the Jackal and smiles. Despite the fact he is walking where the Jackal is riding, he does not look tired. His dark skin is more able to deal with the pounding sun and he appears to be acclimatized to the heat that is clearly causing the Jackal problems. His eyelashes are darkened with kohl, a black powder and he, like his friend, is wearing make up on his lips also. The man points to a large sand dune, with dust blowing off its peak.

-=- Man 1 -=-
Not far now my friend. Over that dune you will gain your first sight of the temple to the north, and then we travel for just one more hour before we reach destination.

The other man, who also appears to not be suffering from the heat, pulls a bottle of water from the back of the saddle on which the Jackal is sitting.

-=- Man 2 -=-
Here my friend, take this. It gives you strength to complete our journey.

The Jackal snatches the bottle and takes a large drink, guzzling for a few seconds before gasping with relief as the cold water drenches his parched lips and dry throat. Passing back the bottle to the man at his right his eyes suddenly widen.

The party stop and look across, for in the distance is a large stone palace. It is decorated by huge stone ornaments and statues. The Jackal appears speechless as he ponders the enormity of this structure which appears to expand over a huge area in the valley beneath them. In the further distance is a large pyramid, but its image is obscured by the combination of heat haze and dust blowing into the atmosphere, creating a red mist on the horizon.

As they continue on there way the camera fades and then the footage resumes as the Jackal and his party arrive at the palace. The Jackal looks up, noticing just how tall the structure is up close. In some ways the sheer size of the structure appears to intimidate, as statues twenty times the size of a man loom over and stare at the three men. The Jackal looks a little nervous, even gulping a lump that has developed in his throat.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
Remind me why we are here again guys?

------------------------------------

The scene shimmers and fades as we are now taken back in time two sunsets. The scene is now of the very men that are alongside the Jackal… although they are now inside a large stone room, kneeling down in front of a spectacular golden throne. Sitting upon the throne is a large and muscular figure, holding a long golden staff. His body is of an Arabic skin color. His clothing is that of a white loin cloth overlaying a white dress. On his torso is a golden chain mail vest and his neck is completely covered by several necklaces made of green, red, black and gold beads to create a linear stripy effect. But of most significance is his face or rather his mask. This golden mask portrays the face of a bird, with a black beak and decorations around the eyes. The mask has long black hair and a large red circle atop of the head, held in place by what looks to be a golden cobra laced with expensive jewels.

There is silence in the room as the men remain kneeling, looking up at this powerful figure. The silence is broken by a loud bang… it is the banging of a large wooden door beginning to open as a system of pulleys work together to slide open the door. As the door opens the room is filled with loud creaking and banging noises, but the two men remain kneeling and the man remains sitting upon his throne, not making even the slightest movement.

As the door opens a man runs in. He is a large, rotund man, clean shaven, his head covered with a blue and white head-dress and he too is dressed in Ancient Egyptian clothing. He is wearing a long white dress with golden loin cloth and a gold drape around his shoulders and neck. His feet are dressed in papyrus sandals and he is holding a long, golden staff... not too dissimilar to the staff held by the pharaoh himself.

As he kneels in front of the throne he holds up a piece of slate that was on the ground in front of him and begins to speak.

-=-The Kings Sorcerer ||| Ishmael -=-
My King Ra… I bring you news of a man who blasphemes your name. I have seen it; I have seen it in the gateway to the present world.

King Ra leans forward as the man places the slate in his hands. The camera focus on his eyes through his masking, but they are empty… no irises, just the whites. They appear to be the eyes of a man who has no soul. However, despite this, he appears to see as he watches what looks to be images of Jeran Hudson in the CZW ring appear on this dusty piece of grey slate.

No Kick out!!!

Blaze looks frustrated, as Jeran kicks out at the last second! He slaps the canvas but is quickly back to his feet.

Blaze now appears to stalk Jeran, waiting for him to get back to his feet. As he gradually does Blaze kicks him in the gut and lifts him up in position for a piledriver. However, Jeran begins swinging his legs and makes it difficult for Blaze to keep him held up. As Blaze tries a second time Jeran is able to reverse and gets him in an ankle lock… leglock ankle lock!

Blaze screams in pain as Jeran mercilessly twists and rips at his leg. He lifts his arm as if he is about to tap but he doesn’t. Instead he drags himself towards the ropes. Jeran continues to twist as Blaze continues to scream and then…
-
-
-
Jeran releases the hold.

As the crowd wonder what is going on he gets to his feet and stands over Blaze, who is still on the floor in agony.

Gold: I don’t get it, does he think Blaze tapped?

Farley: I’m not sure, but you don’t get a man in that predicament then let him go. You got to keep on him.

Gold: Wait I think Jeran Hudson has other plans.

As Blaze tries to get back to his feet, Jeran seems to have positioned himself and looks poised ready to strike. Jeran is waiting.
-
-
-
He is waiting as Blaze gets back to his feet…
-
-
-
Spike RKO!!!!

Gold: Whoa devastating move! He calls that move the Eye of Ra!

Jeran hits it and immediately goes for the cover

The Pharaoh places the slate back in the mans hands and sits back. The man, along with the two foot soldiers, remain kneeling in his presence. King Ra lifts up his hands and speaks… his voice is loud and booming.

-=- The Sun God ||| King Ra -=-
Tell me Ishmael, how can we deal with this tormenter of my kingdom, this soul who chooses to impersonate me and make me appear the fool?

This man, who we now know is Ishmael, looks up from his kneeling position and into the soulless eyes of the Pharaoh.

-=-The Kings Sorcerer ||| Ishmael -=-
My king, to destroy a sinner in the present world, we must select an assassin from the present world…there is a man!

King Ra shuffles on his throne, once again speaking with a bold and powerful voice that echo’s throughout the stone room.

-=- The Sun God ||| King Ra -=-
Please…enlighten me.

-=-The Kings Sorcerer ||| Ishmael -=-
His name is Karl Jackson, they call him the Jackal. He appears the unstoppable fighter, a true warrior. This man has everything it takes to rid the present world of this blasphemer. He may be our finest hope.

King Ra holds up his arms and delivers his instructions to Ishmael.

-=- The Sun God ||| King Ra -=-
Then you must deliver to me this man. I will retire and await his arrival to my kingdom.

Ishmael stands with his head bowed forward; the two foot soldiers remain kneeling.

-=-The Kings Sorcerer ||| Ishmael -=-
Yes my King, I will find him and I will deliver him.

With that the scene fades as Ishmael bows once more to the Pharaoh.

-------------------------------------------

The next scene is back with Karl Jackson and the two foot soldiers. They are now in a large stone room. As they enter there is an eerie silence, it appears that this is the very room whereby Ishmael had spoke with King Ra just two nights previous.

The Jackal looks around, still mesmerized, now especially interested in the ancient hieroglyphics that are decorating the many walls. But it is one specific symbol that really gains the Jackal’s attention, and that is the image of an eye… dark blue in color, surrounded with gold and blue artistry and laced with jewels. The Jackal points to it and speaks…

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
What does that symbol mean, I recognize it.

A voice replies for which the Jackal does not recognize.

-=-The Kings Sorcerer ||| Ishmael -=-
That is the Eye of Ra. What you are standing in is the kingdom of Ra.

The Jackal spins around to see Ishmael now standing behind him.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
The Eye of Ra, which is the finishing move of my opponent this week. You know Jeran…

The Jackal is interrupted mid sentence as Ishmael lifts up his hand, and at the very same moment there is a loud thundering sound that fills the room. Jackal looks up and around, seemingly a little startled.

-=-The Kings Sorcerer ||| Ishmael -=-
Please I beg of you, do not use that name in these walls. Your opponent has angered Pharaoh and the very mention of his name could invoke torment upon this kingdom.

The Jackal frowns, seemingly a little confused. But seeing that Ishmael is serious he decides not to press with any further questions.

-=-The Kings Sorcerer ||| Ishmael -=-
Jackal, I am Ishmael, sorcerer for King Ra and his kingdom. You have been brought here because you have been personally selected by Pharaoh himself, to destroy this blasphemer and to rid the present world of his soul.

The Jackal listens for a second, and after pondering the thought for a while he smiles.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
Okay wise guy, what’s this all about then? I will happily kick his ass this Friday night on Assault, but you want me to ‘rid the present world of his soul’. What the hell are you talking about?

Ishmael frowns and the two foot soldiers begin to look very nervous. There is a silence and the Jackal looks around, his smile starting to fade as he realizes that this is indeed not a joke. The sound of thunder again begins to cascade through the palace walls, only now it appears to be coming from a large slab of rock beneath the ‘Eye of Ra’ symbol that the Jackal had been so intrigued with. The Jackal looks on as the walls begin to open, revealing King Ra, sitting upon his golden throne. Again he is dressed in white tunic and loin cloth, and again his face is covered by this mask portraying an image of a bird. As King Ra sits upon his throne he lifts up his staff and Ishmael begins to guide the Jackal to walk closer to the throne.

The Jackal cautiously walks over to the throne, but pauses as King Ra stands. Jackal looks up, slightly awestruck, at this huge man... who is not only muscular but also now appears to stand at around 7 feet tall!

As the Jackal looks around he can see that Ishmael and the two other men are now kneeling, and so he decides to kneel also. King Ra walks closer to the Jackal and places his golden staff onto his right shoulder.

-=- The Sun God ||| King Ra -=-
Please stand Mr. Jackal

Again the King's huge voice echo's throughout his temple and causes the Jackal to jump slightly. He looks up at the empty eyes of this huge man and cautiously stands up. He attempts to lock eyes with the King, but it is difficult... what with the Jackal being approximately a foot shorter!

-=- The Sun God ||| King Ra -=-
Tell me of this... Jeran Hudson!!!

The Jackal looks up at King Ra as he begins to sit back down on his golden throne. Jackal smiles ever so slightly as he is about to speak of Jeran.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
Jeran Hudson... he's this new guy that has just come into CZW. I know little about him, but what I do know is he knows his stuff inside that ring. The guy is still undefeated... although in all fairness so was I at that stage in my career. Unfortunately for him though he has gone and tried to align himself with Jesse Montana. He's making the very same mistake I did in trusting that little worm! I mean, come on... how many times as that guy got to screw other guys over before people learn not to trust him?

As Jackal finishes speaking there is silence in the room. Ishmael coughs and stands up, alongside the Jackal.

-=-The Kings Sorcerer ||| Ishmael -=-
Please my king... I hope you don't mind me standing.

King Ra waves his hand and nods as if to approve. Ishmael turns to the Jackal.

-=-The Kings Sorcerer ||| Ishmael -=-
Jackal, you have been brought here as King Ra feels insulted by this man's usage of his name to enhance his own career and build his reputation. Thou should never use the name of the God's in vein and this is what this mortal has done, and is continuing to do. King Ra and I believe you to be the warrior capable of stopping this tyrant. We ask of you, can you take down this man. Can you rid the present world of this blasphemous abomination?

The Jackal smiles and nods his head...

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
Damn straight I can. He is good, I'll give him that... but I am the Jackal. I am the most dangerous man in CZW! I am the man who will soon be representing my company as the Intercontinental champion. And now that Jeran has made a pact with the devil... Jesse Montana... he's signed his own ticket to getting his ass kicked on Assault.

The Jackal's smile then fades as he looks up towards King Ra, now sitting back on his throne.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
But...I don't fight for anyone else but me. I don't fight for Jesse Montana... not for ratings... not for the fans...and not for a bunch of Ancient Egyptian guys and a giant in a bird mask!

There is a gasp from Ishmael and the two foot soldiers... who are still kneeling. Ishmael takes his staff and lifts it up, as if he is about to strike the Jackal.

-=- The Sun God ||| King Ra -=-
STOP!!!!

King Ra shouts and the room echoes. Ishmael jumps and drops his staff on the floor; the Jackal also jumps and takes a couple of steps back.

-=- The Sun God ||| King Ra -=-
I like this man; he shows me fire and passion. Please stand down Ishmael.

Ishmael moves away from the Jackal and once again adopts a kneeling posture in front of the king’s throne.

-=- The Sun God ||| King Ra -=-
Jackal... you say you only fight for you. That you will not fight for me... but I can pay you, I can pay you with a promise.

The Jackal smiles.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
Okay, now you have my attention big guy! What can you promise me?

-=- The Sun God ||| King Ra -=-
I can grant you one of three wishes. The first is a thousand gold coins... enough money to get you whatever you want. You could even pack up your wrestling if you chose to take this. The second is I can give you a single night, with one of the most beautiful ladies from my kingdom... the choice of whom will be yours. Or three... I can give you the power of redemption!

Jackal frowns as if confused.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
Redemption?

-=- The Sun God ||| King Ra -=-
Yes Jackal! Redemption!!!

King Ra holds up his hands and as he does there is a loud grinding sound. It immediately becomes apparent that a door is opening to the right of King Ra's throne. Jackal turns to face the opening that has begun to emerge in the stone walls. A smile comes on his face when he sees that, imprisoned behind the wall, is none other than his estranged wife Cindy. Her hands are bound and she is strapped to the wall with heavy iron chains, her mouth gagged with a white cloth. Her mascara has run down her face, her hair straggly and matted with dust; her face is red and swollen. It is clear that she has been crying and has been behind the wall for some time.

Suddenly a voice interrupts the proceedings…

-=- T.J Hix -=-
Ok that’s enough …Cut!

King Ra, the Jackal and the rest of the people in the room turn to where the voice has come from. Standing there is T.J. Hix and a small camera crew with cameras, lighting and a small amount of sound equipment. The Jackal holds out his arms with a look of annoyance on his face.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
But we haven’t finished yet Hix… get the cameras back on me!

Hix shakes his head…

-=- T.J Hix -=-
I’m sorry, I agreed to fly out here to Egypt to help with your promo against Jeran Hudson, but I never agreed to this.

Hicks points at Cindy, who is still bound and still sobbing.

The Jackal looks at Cindy with a look of confusion.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
But she’s acting! She’s not really upset… its all part of the movie!

The Jackal walks over and takes the gag carefully off his wife. He then unties her hands and unlocks the chains that are holding her body to the wall. T J Hicks and his team look on as Cindy smiles and walks over to the Jackal.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
You see, she was…

SLAP!

Cindy slaps the Jackal around the face!

-=- Cindy Jackson -=-
You told me you were taking me on holiday to Egypt as a way to make up to me for what you put me through! You never told me I would have to spend 12 hours trapped in a small tomb in the wall, with no food or water!

The Jackal frowns…

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
But we are in Egypt! I never lied to you, I just didn’t tell you the whole story…sweetheart.

Cindy shakes her head and begins to walk away from the Jackal.

-=- Cindy Jackson -=-
You can forget your stupid film. Get me a flight back to the States… now!

The Jackal stands for a moment, his arms outstretched. He has a look of remorse on his face as he opens his mouth to speak, however no words seem to come out.

As she exits the room the Jackal’s mouth begins to quiver… then he puts his hand over his mouth, his face turning red and his shoulders shuddering up and down. The rest of the room stands in silence not knowing what to say about the situation, until it appears obvious that the Jackal is trying not to laugh. The Jackal then splutters, and he and the rest of the cast burst into laughter. Hix however doesn’t appear to see the funny side and is quite serious as he and his crew begin the process of tidying away there equipment.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
That was great! To think she believed that I would take her on holiday to apologize to her!

Ishmael… the King’s sorcerer, who's real name is Mark Trent, puts his hand on the Jackal’s shoulder.

-=- Mark Trent -=-
Damn right! It’s her who should be apologizing Karl.

The Jackal continues to smile…

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
Too right Mark. Come on guys, it’s been a long day. Let’s get back to the hotel and lay back a little.

The rest of the cast appear to agree and they all begin filtering out of the room. King Ra removes his mask to reveal he is none other than Rajesh Kamir… a wrestler who had previously acted as the Jackal’s bodyguard during a storyline that he took part in when he was wrestling in Japan.

He walks over to the Jackal and places his massive hand on the Jackal’s shoulder.

-=- Rajesh Kamir -=-
Good to see you again my friend. And as I said earlier…if you ever need anything.

The Jackal smiles and looks up at this huge man

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
Thank-you Kamir. And with regards needing anything… maybe I’ll have a talk to CZW management. We could get you a contract to watch my back. What with all that’s happening.

I mean I got Jeran Hudson this week… and he has now associated himself with Jesse Montana. Not to mention that snake Maynard O’Toole is the guest referee. This thing has screw job written all over it.

The Jackal’s smile disappears as a serious look comes upon him, his eyes staring.

-=- The Jackal l l l Karl Jackson -=-
Jesse Montana, Maynard O’Toole… they can play all the little games they want. But the bottom line is … I will become Intercontinental Champion at Horrorcore and in winning that match I will rip the foundation out of the System of Supremacy. Then after taking care of Maynard… I will be gunning for Jesse Montana. Whether he is still champion or not, his life is destined to take a serious down turn, because I am laying in wait. And when the Jackal chooses to pounce, I will take him and his damn stable out of commission for good.

And as for Jeran Hudson, the newbie! Well I was a newbie not long ago and I made the mistake of trusting Montana. The result was I got my ass beat and earned a stay in the local hospital… thanks to Greg Grantham. Well Jeran, believe me there will come a time when you are also on the receiving end of Jesse’s deceitfulness and when it happens… just remember that I told you so! But as far as this week goes, you haven’t got to worry about Jesse turning on you, or O’Toole screwing you… that’s my worry. All you got to worry about is me… Karl ‘The Jackal’ Jackson.

Jeran, I am hoping we have a clean fight and I can defeat you in a clear contest. But if you choose to attempt to screw me or if you and that Montana have a plan, just remember one thing. I am the most dangerous man in CZW and I will live up to my name. You turn this fight dirty then it will be your downfall…you turn this fight dirty and I promise you, I will hurt you, I will cripple you, I will come at you with the fury of a thousand lions and I will look upon you in the same way as the rest of the System of Supremacy. And if I see you in that way, then my aim will not be to beat you… it will be to end your career before it even gets started.

Jeran, whether you like it or not… I will make you tap out or pass out in that ring, with or without Maynard to count you out.

The scene fades as the Jackal turns and exits the room alongside his fellow cast members and one huge giant… known as Rajesh Kamir.
