Falling Into Badd Company

Mike King
CZW Ultimate Role Player
(The scene opens up with CZW Hardcore Champion “Badd Company” Mike King is in the desert by his house. He looks out into the vast vista in the mid-day sky with the sun at its apex in the sky. King is wearing a CZW t-shirt and jean shorts. He then turns towards the camera.)

Mike King: This week will be a bittersweet farewell. With the recent roster cuts for various reasons, the Combat Zone Wrestling board of directors with Derek Damage at the helm, have decided to combine the two CZW shows, War Zone and Assault. Meaning this will be the last CZW Assault, ever. Next week the entire CZW landscape will change for ever. But this week it is not about that. It's about a big six-man tag main event.

Last week, I’ve had two setbacks but one step forward. See I had just vindicated myself when I got the monkey named Corey Jackson off my back, dropped him with a King Krash and the then tossed his ass out of CZW I was over-joyed. I drove a man who didn’t deserve a title shot but got it anyway. As I will talk about later, I had a man walk up to me and praise me for doing what I did. However all in that time I had two set backs. Firstly I had a so-called man and so-called big name wrestler named Karamatic Syptom come out without even wrestling one single Combat Zone Wrestling match and tell me that I need” to give him a hardcore title shot. The last time I checked, CZW goes by power rankings that bring top contenders with a string of wins to the top of list.

Karamatic, you did indeed get into my mind. You got into my psyche. Because you talked about how by losing to you I’d live on the streets. This did get in my head but not because of a seed of doubt, but because my head wasn’t in the game when I fought Damien Natas. He blocked several of my big moves and pretty much had his way with me. Now I know how people will say that I am “too small, too light” to wrestle when in reality, it never stopped me before. Look at Big Evil from my past in the WIF, I’ve beat him twice and he is taller and heavier than Natas.

See with Karamatic sitting, watching, trying to get even more inside my head, calling me by a name of a man that died, RIP two years ago, I couldn’t keep my head straight and if you are the type of man I think you are Natas, you wouldn’t accept that. You wouldn’t accept that you beat me merely because I was distracted with the drunk local fa**ot cat-calling me. If you take that and believe that is a good reason to win Damien, you don’t deserve to face me. No man should accept that a win they had was a fluke. And this week, you have the chance to prove that it wasn’t. You and two other men take on me and two other men.

Natas, this is the time you prove your real worth to Combat Zone Wrestling. Karamatic will not be in your corner cheerleading you to victory and a man who does not fear death. A man that is not afraid of you and this week could beat you as easily as you beat me. Damien, don’t think I am afraid of you or doubting that I can beat you, cause I know I can and with God as my witness, this week I will. And you can’t stop me Natas, Karamatic can’t stop me and you tag team partner Jeran Hudson and Maynard O’Toole can’t stop me. This is an inevitable event. This is coming Natas and you can’t stop me this time.

(King pauses and looks at the mountains.)

King: Now we have Jeran Hudson or J-Ra as his peeps call him. No doubt, you are a great athlete, you are a good wrestler but I think you, Jeran are too cocky. See last week you had your first match with the “big boys” of Combat Zone Wrestling. You lost your first match against a man who very well maybe the next CZW Intercontinental Champion, "The Jackal" Karl Jackson. You like many others before you, were made to tap out due to his various submissions. Now I am sure despite your cocky exterior, that put a seed of doubt in the back of your mind, leaving you vulnerable. Vulnerable to lose the match for you and your two partners.

Now Maynard O'Toole, I got respect for you. You are a damn good wrestler and we have taken each other to the limits in the past. It's not about me not respecting you cause I think the world of you but this time, I am winning the match back. You pinned me in the King of Combat tournament first round match in one of my shinning moments in CZW, despite the loss.

But the biggest reason I am gonna win this week isn't me, it is my partner Brian Kirkland. Brian needed back up two weeks ago after Anarchy Rising's Matt Covey beat his ass. I didn't want to take that much like he has due to my past with men like Corey Jackson kicking my ass and stealing my property in the process. I heard he was looking for back-up and I called him. And you know, we had a lot more in common than anyone can imagine and it is safe to say after last week, he fell into badd company. This week it is my honor to team up with Kirkland for the first of what I'd imagine would be many times. Kirkland and I are the future of CZW and this week we give a sample of what the new CZW will look like.

(King reaches in his cargo pocket and pulls out a pair of silver sunglasses with blue frames on the sides. He places them on his ears, covering his eyes.)

King: And the future of CZW looks so bright, it is time that I buy a cool pair of shades...

(King turns his back to the camera as the scene ends.)
