DEW Drop Inn.

Nothing special other than they had a live band and later on live singing with anyone with the guts enough to get in front of the microphone and do it. Little did they know that there would be someone with the guts enough to do just that.

Eli, or as some know him in the wrestling world, Adonis, Williams stood behind the mic and waited for the band to get in place, he leaned over to the drummer and whispered the song he wanted to sing to and once more waited till the tune started blasting through the bar.

Hair of the dog by Nazareth began to make the crowd look his way. His voice, clear as needed to be, began echoing out to their ears. He was in his element and even made a nod to his partner and friend Riley as he took a seat with his lady, Kitana.

Riley grinned at him as he sang the best part of the song, now your messing with a son of a bitch, caused some of the crowd to sing a long. If he had been an egomaniac, he would be getting a hard on with this reaction. But since he isn’t, he was just having a good time.

With the song drawing closed, he finally put the mic back in its place and stepped back as the last notes faded. The crowd cheered with his effort and nearly almost started booing the next one that stepped up. Seems as if R&B didn’t go over well with this crowd.

Riley: Man, you hit the nail on the head with that song.

Eli looked at him with raised eyebrow as he said that.

Eli: Since it wasn’t Journey, I didn’t think you would like it.

Kitana snorted lightly as that was spoken, her face screwed up to hide the laugh that wanted to come out.

Riley: That is one of the best bands of all time. You know it and I know it. To bad if no one else wants to admit it.

Eli laughed and sipped at the beer that had been placed in front of him. When he happened to glance at his hand did he notice the waitress had written her number on the mug with lipstick.

Eli: A simple piece of paper would do just as well.

He said as he wiped it off his fingers.

Kitana: I would think you are used to it by now. With you being a stud and such.

Eli: Ouch, biting sarcasm, don’t you know that will give you wrinkles around your mouth?

Riley looked at them and shook his head. Two little kids snipping at each other. Actually it was like brother and sister.

Riley: Put the claws away you two, we came here to have a good time.

Kitana: sorry.

Eli: Yeah she’s sorry.

Riley: You two give me a pain. You know that?

Eli: Yeah, but she can kiss it all better, I sure as hell wont.

Timely interruptions are a good thing at times, like now. Riley was jostled by a large butted woman as she tried to squeeze around him. Her name had to be Bertha. Maybe Beulah.

Woman: Oh Adonis, you are so good singing, can I ask you a question?

Great another overweight woman that thinks he would be good for her, but as what? A snack?

Eli: Sure, ask away.

Voice like butter, that way if she wanted to give him something like money or gold, anything but her body, he would be in good with her.

Woman: I forget my manners, my momma would’ a done whacked me in the head for not using them. I’m Courtney, you can call me anything you want to really, as long as it’s in the morning.

Forward much? He thought as she spoke. Riley wanted to lose it right there, at least Kitana had good sense to hide her face behind a napkin with a fake coughing fit.

Smiling broadly and showing his nice teeth, something she probably didn’t have many of, he gave her the sympathetic, I’m sorry about this look.

Eli: I can’t take you up on that offer tonight …. Well maybe I can. Let me write this address down, it’s my hotel room. I have to share one because the company is too cheap to get us our own rooms, but don’t worry about that. My room mate is supposed to be out for the night so it’s all mine. Just go in and make yourself comfortable, don’t mind if a guy that looks like an over dressed squirrel comes in. He is a gift for you. That way if you still want more, when I get there we won’t have to rush to make you happy.

He smiled and winked at her and handed her the address, Pablo will want to kill for this, then again with what he normally runs with this might be better.

Courtney: ummm, yoou do know how to thrill a girl. Ill be waiting, should I wear anything special?

Eli: Not at all. Just you spread eagle and waiting is all I want.

Courtney: Ohhhhh I can’t wait.

Eli: Neither can I.

She literally snatched the paper from him and really did knock over several people in a hurry to get out the door.

Riley: Dude. How can you do that?

Eli: Do what?

Riley: Mess with women like that.

Eli: That was two women in one and she came at me. She deserved it. Besides, EP will love that gift. IF he survives it.

That was it, all three busted a gut laughing at the idea of her on top and two legs and arms sticking out flailing.

Riley: To change the subject, and we need to, you got a match with Jiro Hu.

Shaking his head, he tried to keep from cracking jokes.

Eli: Ju Tu? Jiro Fu? That like some lame martial arts? It doesn’t make a bit of difference to me. He has to walk that aisle, step through the ropes and prove he has what it takes to beat me in the ring. If not then well I guess he will learn that I am the better man. And if he doesn’t like that then he can always go to the street corner and wait on me.

Kitana: Street corner?

She spoke before he could catch her. Riley knew what was coming.

Eli: The street corner of Norfalk and Whay.

She paused as she caught the joke.

Kitana: Eli!!

They busted up laughing as the crowd started acting restless. That meant no one was on stage to entertain them. That was the cue.

Jumping on stage, he once more checked to see if the band knew a song, they did and he watched as Riley nearly leaped from his chair to the stage in one move. Duet time.

What it takes to win by Journey began to play and they started singing, the crowd was loving it as the night continued on.
